கட்டாயச் சிலுவை / COMPULSORY CROSS

ஆதவன் 🔥 962🌻 செப்டம்பர் 16, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை 

"சிரேனே ஊரானும், அலெக்சந்தருக்கும் ரூப்புக்கும் தகப்பனுமாகிய சீமோன் என்னப்பட்ட ஒருவன் நாட்டிலிருந்து அவ்வழியே வருகையில், அவருடைய சிலுவையைச் சுமக்கும்படி அவனைப் பலவந்தம் பண்ணினார்கள்." ( மாற்கு 15 : 21 )

அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனுக்காக என்று நாம் செய்யும் எந்தக் காரியமாக இருந்தாலும் அது அன்பினால் செய்யப்பட்டதாக இருக்கவேண்டும் எனும் செய்தியை இன்றைய வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள சிரேனே ஊரானும், அலெக்சந்தருக்கும் ரூப்புக்கும் தகப்பனுமாகிய சீமோன் என்பவன் அன்பினால் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உதவவில்லை. மாறாக, கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் கிறிஸ்துவுக்காகச் சிலுவையைச் சுமந்தான் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவன் யூதர்களுக்குப் பயந்து சிலுவையைச் சுமக்க உதவினான். 

இதுபோலவே பல மனிதர்களை நாம் பார்க்கலாம்.  சிலர் தேவனுக்கென்றும் ஆலயப் பணிகளுக்கென்றும் தேவ அன்பினால் ஏவப்பட்டுச் செய்யாமல் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் சில காரியங்களைச் செய்கின்றனர். கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் சில பக்தி காரியங்களில் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர். எந்தவிதக்  கட்டாயமுமின்றி அன்பினால் ஏவப்பட்டு நாம் செய்யும் செயல்களே தேவனால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்படும். 

ஒரு சிறு நகரத்தில்  அந்தப் பகுதியிலுள்ள ஆலய பிரதிஷ்டைகாக ஊர் இளைஞர்கள் நன்கொடை வசூலித்தனர். அந்த ஊரில் கடைவைத்திருந்த கடை முதலாளியையும் வற்புறுத்தி ஒரு பெரிய தொகையை எழுதவைத்தனர். ஊராரைப் பகைக்கவேண்டாம் என்று கருதி அவரும் பெரிய தொகையினை நன்கொடையாகக் கொடுக்க முன்வந்தார். பின்னர் அவர் ஒருவரிடம் கூறியதை நான்  கேட்டேன். " வருஷம்தோறும் இது பெரிய தொந்தரவாய் இருக்கிறது....என்ன செய்ய அவர்கள் கேட்பதை அழுது தொலைக்கவேண்டியிருக்கிறது ..." என்று சலித்துக்கொண்டார். 

பிரதிஷ்டை பண்டிகையன்று அதிகம் நன்கொடைகொடுத்த இந்த முதலாளியை அழைத்து பொன்னாடைபோர்த்தி கவுரவித்தார்கள். மனிதர்கள் மத்தியில் அவர் பெருமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார். இதுவும் அடுத்த ஆண்டிலும் அவர் இப்படி உதவிடவேண்டும் எனும் எண்ணத்தில்தான்.    அன்பானவர்களே,  இப்படிக் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் பல காரியங்களை நாமும் செய்யலாம். இவைகள் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் சீமோன் சிலுவை சுமந்த காரியம் போன்றவைகள்தான். 

ஆனால் உலக மக்களுக்கு அன்பினால் செய்யும் செயலையும் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் செய்யும் செயலையும் பகுத்தறிய முடிவதில்லை. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பரிசேயன் ஒருவனது வீட்டில் பந்தியிருக்கும்போது பாவியாகிய பெண் ஒருவர் வந்து அவரது பாதங்களைக் கண்ணீரால் நனைத்து தனது கூந்தலால் துடைத்தாள். அவரை விருந்துக்கு அழைத்த சீமோன் இதுகுறித்து மனதுக்குள், "இவர் தீர்க்கதரிசியாக இருந்தால் தன்னைத் தொடும் பெண் பாவி என்று அறிந்திருப்பாரே" என எண்ணினான். 

அவனது எண்ணத்தைப் புரிந்துகொண்ட இயேசு அவனுக்குச் சில விளக்கங்களைக் கூறிவிட்டு இறுதியில் கூறினார்,  "ஆதலால் நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்: இவள் செய்த அநேக பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது; இவள் மிகவும் அன்புகூர்ந்தாளே;  எவனுக்குக் கொஞ்சம் மன்னிக்கப்படுகிறதோ, அவன் கொஞ்சமாய் அன்புகூருவான்" ( லுூக்கா 7 : 47 )  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, அன்பினால் செய்யும் சிறிய செயலையும் தேவன் அங்கீகரிப்பார். கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் செய்யப்படும் எத்தனைப் பெரிய செயலையும் அவர் கணக்கில் கொள்வதில்லை. எனவே சிரேனே ஊர் சீமோனைப்போல வலுக்கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் எதனையும் செய்யாதபடி எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருப்போம். நாம் எதனையும் தேவனுக்கென்று செய்யும்போது இதனையும் எண்ணிக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். ஊராரின் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் நாம் சில காரியங்களை இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டியிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அதனை நாம் உணர்ந்திருக்கவேண்டும் அப்படிச் செய்யும் செயலை நாம் உடன்தானே மறந்துவிடுவது நல்லது 

ஆனால் கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் மெய்யான அன்புகொண்டு நாம் செய்யும் சிறிய செயலையும் அவர் கணக்கில்கொள்வார். நமது பாவங்களையும் மன்னிப்பார்.

            COMPULSORY CROSS

"And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross." ( Mark 15 : 21 )

Beloved, today's verse advises us that whatever we do for God, it should be done with love.

Simon the Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rupus, mentioned in today's meditation verse, did not help Christ out of love. Rather, it is said that he carried the cross for Christ out of compulsion. He was afraid of the Jews and helped carry the cross.

Similarly, we can see many people. Some people do things out of compulsion rather than being inspired by God's love for God and church work. They engage in some devotional activities out of compulsion. God approves of the actions we do out of love without any compulsion.

In a small town, the youth of the village collected donations for the consecration of a church in that area. They also forced the owner of the shop in that town to write down a huge amount. He also offered to donate a large amount of money, thinking that he should not antagonize the villagers. Then I heard him tell someone, “every year it is a big trouble for me....I have to cry and lose what they ask me to do..." he said boredly.

On the consecration festival, this shop owner who donated a lot was invited and honored with golden shawl. He was glorified among men. It was also with the intention that he should help in this way in the next year as well. Beloved, we too can do many things out of compulsion. These are things like Simon's forced cross-carrying.

But the people of the world cannot distinguish between an act of love and an act of compulsion. When Jesus Christ was staying in a Pharisee's house, a sinful woman came and wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. Simon, who invited him to the feast, thought to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know that the woman who touches him is a sinner."

Jesus, who understood his thoughts, gave him some explanations, and finally said, "Wherefore I say unto thee, her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little." (Luke 7: 47)

Yes beloved, God will recognize even the smallest act of love. He does not consider any great deed done out of compulsion. So let us be careful, like Simon of Cyrene, to do nothing under compulsion. We should also consider this when we do anything for God. We may have to do some things like this due to the compulsion of the villagers. But we should realize that it is better to forget the act of doing that.

But He will count even the smallest act that we do with true love for Christ. He will also forgive our sins.
