எப்படிப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோம்? / HOW WE FOLLOW?

ஆதவன் 🔥 968🌻 செப்டம்பர் 22, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"ஒரு வாலிபன் ஒரு துப்பட்டியை மாத்திரம் தன்மேல் போர்த்துக்கொண்டு அவர் பின்னே போனான்; அவனைப் பிடித்தார்கள். அவன் தன் துப்பட்டியைப் போட்டுவிட்டு, நிர்வாணமாய் அவர்களை விட்டு ஓடிப்போனான்." ( மாற்கு 14 : 51, 52 )

வேதாகமத்திலுள்ள எந்த ஒரு சிறு குறிப்பும் காரணமின்றி எழுதப்பட்டதாயிராது.  இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனத்தில் துப்பட்டியைப் போர்த்திக்கொண்டு இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கைதுசெய்யப்படும்போது அவர் பின்னே சென்ற ஒரு வாலிபனைக் குறித்துக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. (துப்பட்டி என்பதற்கு மெல்லிய லினன் துணி என்று ஆங்கில வேதாகமத்தில் விளக்கம் உள்ளது)  

இந்தச் சம்பவம்  மாற்கு சுவிசேஷத்தில் மட்டும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. "இந்தச் சம்பவத்தைக் குறிப்பிடக் காரணம் என்ன? இது அவ்வளவு முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த ஒரு சம்பவம் இல்லையே?" என நானும் எனது நண்பர் பாஸ்டர் சொர்ணகுமார் அவர்களும் பத்துப் பதினைந்து நாட்களுக்கு முன்னர் பேசிக்கொண்டோம். இருவருக்குமே இதன் பொருள் புரியாமலிருந்தாலும் இது எழுதப்பட்டதற்கு ஏதாவது காரணம் இருக்கும் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டோம். 

கடந்த வாரம் ஒரு நண்பருக்கு பாஸ்டர் சொர்ணகுமார் அவர்கள் சுவிசேஷம் சொல்லும்போது ஆவியானவர் அவருக்கு இதனை வெளிப்படுத்தினார். அன்று மாலையில் அவர் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன், "ஜியோ,  நமது சந்தேகத்துக்குத் தேவன் விளக்கம் தந்துவிட்டார்" என்று கூறி இதனை விளக்கினார்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இந்த வாலிபன் இயேசுவின் சீடனல்ல; மாறாக வேடிக்கைப் பார்க்க வந்தவன்.  தூய்மையான வாழ்க்கை வாழாதவன். ஒரு ஆடையுமின்றி வெறும் மெல்லிய துணியைப் போர்த்திக்கொண்டு அங்கு வந்திருந்தான். ஆவிக்குரிய அர்த்தத்தில் இவன் இரட்சிப்பு எனும் ஆடை இல்லாதவன்.  இன்று கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு வாழ்வில் பரிசுத்தமின்றி வாழ்வோருக்கு இவன் உதாரணம். 

கிறிஸ்துவின் மேலுள்ள அன்பினால் இவன் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றவில்லை; மாறாக வேடிக்கைப்பார்க்க அவரைப் பின் சென்றான். இன்றும் இதுபோல வேடிக்கைப் பார்க்கும் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் உண்டு. கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கை முறைகளை விட்டுவிட்டு தாறுமாறாக வாழ்ந்துகொண்டு திருவிழா, கோவில் பிரதிஷ்டை, அசனம், கலைவிழா என்று நடத்துவதில் மட்டும் ஆர்வம் காட்டுபவர்கள் இவனைப்போன்றவர்களே. 

ஆனால் தேவன் இத்தகைய வேடிக்கை கிறிஸ்தவர்களை அனுமதிப்பதில்லை. அவர்கள் அவமானமடைவார்கள். அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் எபேசு நகரில் செய்த அற்புதங்களைக்கண்டு தாங்களும் அவ்வாறு செய்து மக்களிடம் நன்மதிப்பைப் பெறுவதற்கு ஒரு பிரதான ஆசாரியனின் மக்கள் சிலர் முயன்றார். அவர்களிடம் பவுலிடமிருந்த  பரிசுத்தம் இல்லை; பவுளிடமிருந்த பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் வல்லமை இல்லை.  கிறிஸ்துவுக்குப் பின் நிர்வாணத்தை மறைக்க மெல்லிய துணியைப் போர்த்திக்கொண்டு சென்ற வாலிபனைபோல இவர்களும் பவுலை பின்பற்றி அதிசயம் செய்ய எண்ணினர்.

அப்போது "பொல்லாத ஆவி அவர்களை நோக்கி: இயேசுவை அறிவேன், பவுலையும் அறிவேன், நீங்கள் யார் என்று சொல்லி, பொல்லாத ஆவியையுடைய மனுஷன் அவர்கள்மேல் பாய்ந்து, பலாத்காரம்பண்ணி, அவர்களை மேற்கொள்ள, அவர்கள் நிருவாணிகளும் காயப்பட்டவர்களுமாகி அந்த வீட்டை விட்டு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 19 : 15, 16 )

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை எப்படிப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோம் என்பதனை எண்ணிப்பார்ப்போம்.  பரிசுத்தத்தோடு அவரைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோமா இல்லை வேடிக்கைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்களாக இருக்கின்றோமா? இல்லாவிட்டால் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்வதில் வீண் பெருமைகொண்டு சாட்சியற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றோமா? நம்மை நாமே நிதானித்துப் பார்ப்போம். பிரச்சனைகள் துன்பங்கள் நெருக்கும்போது துப்பட்டியைப் போட்டுவிட்டு, நிர்வாணமாய் ஓடிப்போன வாலிபனைபோல நமது வாழ்க்கை மாறிவிடக்கூடாது.

                              HOW WE FOLLOW?

"And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked." (Mark 14: 51, 52)

Not a single note in the Bible was written without a reason. Today's meditation verse talks about a young man wrapped in a lien cloth who followed Jesus Christ when he was arrested.

This incident is only found in the Gospel of Mark. "What is the reason for mentioning this incident? Is it an incident of such importance?" Myself and my friend Pastor Sworna Kumar talked ten to fifteen days ago. Neither of us knew what it meant, but we assumed there must be a reason why it was written.

The Holy Spirit revealed this to Pastor Sworna Kumar when he was evangelizing a friend last week. Later that evening he happily explained this by saying, "Geo, God has given us an explanation for our doubt."

Beloved, this young man was not a disciple of Jesus; Instead, he came to have fun. He who does not live a pure life. He had come there without a garment, just wrapped in a thin cloth. In the spiritual sense he was without the garment of salvation. He is an example of those who claim to follow Christ and live unholy lives.

He did not follow Christ out of love for Christ; Instead, he followed him for fun. Even today there are Christians who have this kind of fun. People like this are the ones who are only interested in conducting festivals, temple consecrations, distributing food in church, conducting Christian art festivals etc., leaving the Christian way of life.

But God does not allow such fun Christians. They will be humiliated. We read in the Bible, some of the sons of a high priest tried to gain reputation among the people by seeing the miracles that the apostle Paul had done in Ephesus. They did not have the holiness that Paul had; did not have the power of the Holy Spirit as Paul had. Like the young man who wrapped himself in a thin cloth to hide his nakedness who followed Christ, they also wanted to follow Paul and perform a miracle.

"And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded." (Acts 19: 15, 16)

Beloved, let us consider how we follow Christ. Are we following Him in holiness or are we being fun Christians? If not, are we vainly proud to claim to be Christians and live a witness less life? Let's take a look at ourselves. Our life should not become like the youth who left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked when problems and sufferings are pressing.
