ஆதவன் 🔥 965🌻 செப்டம்பர் 19, 2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும், உங்களைப் பெற்ற சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்; அவன் ஒருவனாயிருக்கையில் நான் அவனை அழைத்து, அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவனைப் பெருகப்பண்ணினேன்." ( ஏசாயா 51 : 2 )

முதுபெரும் தந்தையாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும் அவரது மனைவியாகிய சாராளையும் முன்மாதிரியாகக் கொண்டு வாழ  இன்றைய வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது.

ஆபிரகாமின் தகப்பனாகிய தேராகு மற்றும் அவரது முன்னோர்கள் கர்த்தரை அறிந்தவர்கள்  அல்ல; அவர்கள் வேறு தெய்வத்தினை வழிபாட்டு வந்தனர். "ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் நாகோருக்கும் தகப்பனான தேராகு என்பவன், நதிக்கு அப்புறத்திலே குடியிருந்தபோது அவர்கள் வேறே தேவர்களைச் சேவித்தார்கள்" ( யோசுவா 24 : 2 ) என்று யோசுவா நூலில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் தேராகு இறந்தபின் கர்த்தர் ஆபிரகாமை அழைத்தார்.

"கர்த்தர் ஆபிராமை நோக்கி: நீ உன் தேசத்தையும், உன் இனத்தையும், உன் தகப்பனுடைய வீட்டையும் விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, நான் உனக்குக் காண்பிக்கும் தேசத்துக்குப் போ. நான் உன்னைப் பெரிய ஜாதியாக்கி, உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன் பேரைப் பெருமைப்படுத்துவேன்; நீ ஆசீர்வாதமாய் இருப்பாய்."( ஆதியாகமம் 12 : 1, 2 ) என்றார். 

இப்படி, "நான் நதிக்கு அப்புறத்தில் இருந்த உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து, அவனைக் கானான்தேசமெங்கும் சஞ்சரிக்கச்செய்து, அவன் சந்ததியைத் திரட்சியாக்கி, அவனுக்கு ஈசாக்கைக் கொடுத்தேன்." ( யோசுவா 24 : 3 ) என்கின்றார் கர்த்தர். 

இன்றைய வசனத்தில் இந்த ஆபிரகாமையும் அவன் மனைவியாகிய சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. கர்த்தரை அறியாமல் வேறு தெய்வ வழிபாட்டில் வளர்க்கப்பட்ட ஆபிரகாம் கர்த்தர்மேல் விசுவாசத்தில் வல்லவரானார். எனவே, "அவன் ஒருவனாயிருக்கையில் நான் அவனை அழைத்து, அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவனைப் பெருகப்பண்ணினேன்." என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

நமது தேவன் உள்ளங்களை ஊடுருவிப் பார்கின்றவர். ஆபிரகாமின் உள்ளான மனது அவருக்குத் தெரிந்திருந்ததால் அவரை அழைத்து ஆசீர்வதிக்கின்றார் தேவன். ஆபிரகாம் தன்னை தேவன் பெருகச் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று மன்றாடவில்லை. ஆனால் அவரது உண்மையினையும் உத்தமத்தையும், விசுவாசத்தையும் தேவன் கனம் பண்ணி ஒருவனாகிய அவரை ஒரு தனித் தேசமாகவே மாற்றிவிட்டார். ஆம்,  இஸ்ரவேல் தேசம் எனும் மொத்த நாடே   ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததிகளால்  உண்டானது.  

எனவேதான், "உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும், உங்களைப் பெற்ற சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்" என்று இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கும்போது அவர் ஒருவரை எப்படி கனம் பண்ணுகிறார் என்பதற்கு ஆபிரகாம் நமக்கு ஒரு உதாரணம். என்வேதான் விசுவாசத்தைப்பற்றி கூறும்போது எபிரெய நிருப ஆசிரியர், "ஆனபடியால், சரீரஞ்செத்தவனென்று எண்ணத்தகும் ஒருவனாலே, வானத்திலுள்ள பெருக்கமான நட்சத்திரங்களைப்போலவும் கடற்கரையிலுள்ள எண்ணிறந்த மணலைப்போலவும், மிகுந்த ஜனங்கள் பிறந்தார்கள்." ( எபிரெயர் 11 : 12 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்றைய வசனம் இதையே நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள் என்று நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. ஆபிரகாம், சாராள் இவர்களது விசுவாசத்தை நாம் நோக்கிப்பார்ப்போம். அதனை நாமும் நமது வாழ்வில் கடைப்பிடிக்க முயலுவோம்; கர்த்தர் நம்மையும்  ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

"Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him." (Isaiah 51: 2)

Today's verse advises us to follow the example of the great father Abraham and his wife Sarah.

Abraham's father Terah and his ancestors did not know the Lord; They worshipped a different deity. We read in the book of Joshua that "Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods." (Joshua 24: 2) But after Terah's death, God called Abraham.

"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:" (Genesis 12: 1, 2)

Thus, "I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.” (Joshua 24: 3) says the Lord.

Today's verse asks us to look at this Abraham and his wife Sarah. Abraham, who was brought up in the worship of other gods without knowing true God, became strong in faith in God. Therefore, “I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him” today’s verse says.

Our God is a seer of hearts. God called and blessed Abraham because he knew his innermost heart. Abraham did not plead for God to multiply him. But God honoured his truth, integrity and faith and made him a separate nation. Yes, the entire nation of Israel is from Abraham's descendants.

That is why today's verse for meditation says, "Look to your father Abraham and to Sarah who bare you." Abraham is an example to us of how God honours a person when he believes. The author of the book of Hebrews, when speaking about faith, says, "Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable." (Hebrews 11: 12)

Beloved, today's verse instructs us to aim at this. Let us look at the faith of Abraham and Sarah. We will also try to follow it in our lives; May the Lord bless us too.
