🦋 Meditation verse - தானியேல் 3 : 17 / Daniel 3:17

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1706                                           ஆதவன் 09.10.2025 வியாழன்      

"நாங்கள் ஆராதிக்கிற எங்கள் தேவன் எங்களைத் தப்புவிக்க வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்; அவர் எரிகிற அக்கினிச்சூளைக்கும், ராஜாவாகிய உம்முடைய கைக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிப்பார்." ( தானியேல் 3 : 17 )

நம்முடைய தேவன் வல்லமையும் பராக்கிரமும் மிக்கவர். அவரது வல்லமை நம்மைக் காக்கும்போது எந்த அதிகாரமும் பிரச்னையும் நம்மை அழித்துவிடமுடியாது. இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் இதனையே,  "எரிகிற அக்கினிச்சூளைக்கும், ராஜாவாகிய உம்முடைய கைக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிப்பார்" என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. எரிகின்ற அக்கினிபோன்ற பிரச்சனைகளும் மாகா பெரிய ராஜா போன்ற அதிகாரமுள்ளவர்களும் நம்மை எதிர்க்க முடியாமல் அவர்களிடமிருந்து நம்மைப் பாதுகாத்து  விடுவிக்கின்றார்.  

சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்கள் தங்களது உயிரே போனாலும் நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நிறுத்திய பொற்சிலையை வணங்கமாட்டோம் என்று உறுதியாகச் சொல்லிவிட்டனர்; ராஜாவின் கட்டளைக்குப் பயந்து அவர்கள் தேவனை மறுதலிக்கவில்லை. ராஜா எங்களை நெருப்பில் தூக்கிப் போட்டாலும் நாங்கள் அவர் நிறுவியுள்ள பொற்சிலையை வணக்கமாட்டோம் என்று வைராக்கியமாகக் கூறினர். "நாங்கள் ஆராதிக்கிற எங்கள் தேவன் எங்களைத் தப்புவிக்க வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்; அவர் எரிகிற அக்கினிச்சூளைக்கும், ராஜாவாகிய உம்முடைய கைக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிப்பார்." என்று தேவன்மேலுள்ள தங்களது விசுவாசத்தை அறிக்கையிட்டனர். 

அப்படியே தேவன் அவர்களது விசுவாசத்தை கனம்பண்ணினார். அவர்கள் அக்கினிச் சூளையிலிருந்து தேவனால் அதிசயமாகக் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டனர். "அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் வசனித்து: சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களுடைய தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்; அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய தேவனைத்தவிர வேறொரு தேவனையும் சேவித்துப் பணியாமல், அவரையே நம்பி, ராஜாவின் கட்டளையைத் தள்ளி, தங்கள் சரீரங்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததினால், அவர் தமது தூதனை அனுப்பி, தம்முடைய தாசரை விடுவித்தார்." ( தானியேல் 3 : 28 ) என்று அறிக்கையிட்டான்.  அதாவது கர்த்தரை அறியாத அவன் "சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களுடைய தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்" என்கின்றான். 

இதுபோலவே நாம் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு சிறையிலிருந்து விடுவிக்கப்பட்டதை வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஏரோது ராஜாவினால் கொலைசெய்வதற்காக சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த பேதுரு தேவனால் அதிசயமாக விடுவிக்கப்பட்டார். (அப்போஸ்தலர்பணி  12:1-10) 

கால்கள் தொழுமரத்தில் கட்டப்பட்டுச் சிறைச்சாலையில் அடைபட்டிருந்த பவுலும் சீலாவும் தேவனால் அதிசயமாக விடுவிக்கப்பட்டதையும் நாம், "நடுராத்திரியிலே பவுலும் சீலாவும் ஜெபம்பண்ணி, தேவனைத் துதித்துப்பாடினார்கள்; காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அதைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். சடிதியிலே சிறைச்சாலையின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் அசையும்படியாக பூமி மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது; உடனே கதவுகளெல்லாம் திறவுண்டது; எல்லாருடைய கட்டுகளும் கழன்றுபோயிற்று." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 16 : 25-26 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நேற்றும் இன்றும் என்றும் மாறாதவராக இருக்கும் நம்முடையதேவன் தன்னை நம்புபவர்களுக்கும் தனக்குப் பயந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழ்பவர்களுக்கும் உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலாமாக இருந்து அவர்களை விடுவிக்கின்றார். "கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களைச் சூழப் பாளயமிறங்கி அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்" (சங்கீதம் 34:7)

நமக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படும் எந்த அதிகாரத்துக்கும், நமக்கு நேரிடும் எந்தப் பிரச்சனைகளுக்கும் நாம் மனம் மடிவடைந்திடாமல் நமது விசுவாசத்தை அறிக்கையிட்டு உறுதியாக இருப்போம்.  ஆம், "அவரே என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி விடுவிக்கிறவர்; எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்கள்மேல் என்னை உயர்த்திக் கொடுமையான மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவிக்கிறீர். (2 சாமுவேல் 22:49) என்று கூறுவோம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1706

AATHAVAN – Thursday, 09 October 2025

“Our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will rescue us from your hand, O king.” (Daniel 3:17)

Our God is mighty and powerful. When His strength surrounds us, no authority or problem can destroy us. Today’s Scripture declares this truth — “He will rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire and from the hand of the king.” The Lord delivers His children even from fiery trials and powerful rulers who stand against them.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego firmly declared that they would not bow down to the golden image set up by King Nebuchadnezzar, even at the cost of their lives. They did not deny their God out of fear of the king’s decree. Courageously they said, “Even if you throw us into the blazing furnace, we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image you have set up.” In complete faith they testified, “Our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will rescue us from your hand, O king.”

And indeed, God honoured their faith. They were miraculously protected from the fiery furnace. King Nebuchadnezzar himself declared,

“Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who has sent His angel and rescued His servants who put their trust in Him, violating the king’s command, and surrendered their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.” (Daniel 3:28, NASB)

The king who did not know the Lord proclaimed, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego!”

Similarly, in the New Testament we read about the miraculous deliverance of the Apostle Peter from prison. King Herod had imprisoned Peter intending to kill him, but God delivered him through an angel. (Acts 12:1–10)

We also read that Paul and Silas were miraculously freed from prison:

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains were unfastened.” (Acts 16:25–26)

Yes, dear beloved, our God — who is the same yesterday, today, and forever — is a strong refuge to those who trust and fear Him.

“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.” (Psalm 34:7)

Therefore, let us not lose heart before any authority or problem that rises against us. Let us boldly confess our faith and stand firm. Truly,

“He also brings me out from my enemies; You even lift me up above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from a violent man.” (2 Samuel 22:49, NASB)

🦋 Meditation verse - யாக்கோபு 1 : 14 - 15 / James 1:14–15

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳

"அவனவன் தன்தன் சுய இச்சையினாலே இழுக்கப்பட்டு, சிக்குண்டு, சோதிக்கப்படுகிறான். பின்பு இச்சையானது கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, பாவத்தைப் பிறப்பிக்கும், பாவம் பூரணமாகும்போது, மரணத்தைப் பிறப்பிக்கும்." ( யாக்கோபு 1 : 14 - 15 )

இச்சை என்பது நமக்குச் சொந்தமில்லாத  ஒரு பொருள்மீதோ ஒரு நபர்மீதோ நாம் அளவுக்கதிக ஆசைகொண்டு அலைவதைக் குறிக்கின்றது.   உலகினில் இன்று நடைபெறும் குற்றச் செயல்பாடுகளில் 90% க்கும் மேலானவை இச்சை எனும் தவறான ஆசை காரணமாகவே நடைபெறுகின்றன. கொலைகள், கொள்ளைகள், கற்பழிப்புகள் தவிர இன்று நடைபெறக்கூடிய digital குற்றச் செயல்பாடுகளுக்கும் இச்சையே அடிப்படைக் காரணமாக இருக்கின்றது.  

பத்துக் கட்டளைகளின் இறுதிக் கட்டளையாக தேவன் இதனைக் கொடுத்துள்ளார். "பிறனுடைய வீட்டை இச்சியாதிருப்பாயாக; பிறனுடைய மனைவியையும், அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரனையும், அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரியையும், அவனுடைய எருதையும், அவனுடைய கழுதையையும், பின்னும் பிறனுக்குள்ள யாதொன்றையும் இச்சியாதிருப்பாயாக." ( யாத்திராகமம் 20 : 17 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம்.

நாம் தவறாக ஆசைப்படும் காரியத்தை அடைகின்றோமா இல்லையா என்பது முக்கியமல்ல, மாறாக அப்படி ஆசைப்படுவதே பாவம் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "இச்சியாதிருப்பாயாக என்று நியாயப்பிரமாணம் சொல்லாதிருந்தால், இச்சை பாவம் என்று நான் அறியாமலிருப்பேனே." (ரோமர் 7:7) என்று கூறுகின்றார். "ஏனெனில், மாம்சத்தின் இச்சையும, கண்களின் இச்சையும், ஜீவனத்தின் பெருமையுமாகிய உலகத்திலுள்ளவைகளெல்லாம் பிதாவினால் உண்டானவையல்ல, அவைகள் உலகத்தினால் உண்டானவைகள்." ( 1 யோவான்  2 : 16 )

இச்சை ஏன் அல்லது எப்படிப் பாவமாக மாறுகின்றது என்பதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். அதாவது, இச்சை நம்மைச் சோதனையில் சிக்கவைக்கின்றது. பின்பு அது கர்ப்பந்தரித்து வளர்ந்து  பாவத்தைப் பிறப்பிக்கும், பாவம் பூரணமாகும்போது, மரணத்தைப் பிறப்பிக்கும். ஆதியில் ஏதேனில் ஏவாள் இப்படித்தான் இச்சையில் சிக்கினாள். இதனை நாம், "அப்பொழுது ஸ்திரீயானவள், அந்த விருட்சம் புசிப்புக்கு நல்லதும், பார்வைக்கு இன்பமும், புத்தியைத் தெளிவிக்கிறதற்கு இச்சிக்கப்படத்தக்க விருட்சமுமாய் இருக்கிறது என்று கண்டு, அதின் கனியைப் பறித்து, புசித்து, தன் புருஷனுக்கும் கொடுத்தாள்; அவனும் புசித்தான்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 3 : 6 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இப்படி மனிதர்கள் மற்றவர்களிடம் இருக்கும் பொருட்கள்மீது இச்சைகொண்டு அலைவதற்குக் காரணம் அடிப்படை அன்பு இல்லாததுதான். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து மொத்தப் பத்துக் கட்டளைகளையும் இரண்டு கட்டளைகளுக்குள் அடக்கிவிட்டார்.  அதில் இரண்டாம் கட்டளையாக, "உன்னிடத்தில் நீ அன்புகூருவதுபோலப் பிறனிடத்திலும் அன்புகூருவாயாக." ( மத்தேயு 22 : 39 ) என்றார். தன்னைத்தான் நேசிப்பதுபோல மற்றவர்களையும் நேசிக்கும்போதுதான் இச்சை நம்மைவிட்டு அகலும். 

தேவன் மிகவும் அருவருக்கும் பாவங்களான விபச்சாரம், பண ஆசையான விக்கிரக ஆராதனை இவைகளுக்கு அடிப்படை இச்சையே.  எனவே, இன்றைய தியான வசனம் எச்சரிப்பதை கருத்தில் கொள்வோம். இச்சை எனும் பாவத்தில் விழுந்து பின்பு அதனைக் கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, அது பூரணமாகி  மரணத்தை நமக்கு ஏற்படுத்துமுன் எச்சரிக்கையுடனிருந்து நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1705
AATHAVAN – Wednesday, 08.10.2025

“Each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.” — James 1:14–15 (NASB)

Lust refers to the excessive craving we have for something or someone that does not belong to us. Over 90% of the crimes happening in the world today arise from such wrongful desires. Murders, robberies, rapes, and even the digital crimes of our modern age are rooted in this same corrupt longing.

That is why God placed this warning as the last of the Ten Commandments:

“You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbour.” — Exodus 20:17 (NASB)

It is not the attainment of the forbidden thing that makes us guilty, but the very act of desiring it. Hence, the Apostle Paul said,

“I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, ‘You shall not covet.’” — Romans 7:7 (NASB)

“For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life — is not from the Father, but is from the world.” (1 John 2:16)

Today’s verse shows how desire turns into sin. It draws us into temptation; then it conceives and gives birth to sin; and when sin is fully grown, it brings forth death. This was exactly what happened in Eden.

“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.” — Genesis 3:6 (NASB)

The root cause of coveting what others have is a lack of genuine love. Jesus summarized all ten commandments into two, and the second one says,

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” — Matthew 22:39 (NASB)

Only when we love others as we love ourselves can lust and covetousness leave us. Covetousness is the root of the sins God most abhors—such as immorality, greed, and idolatry. Therefore, let us take heed to today’s Scripture. Before desire conceives and gives birth to sin, and before sin matures to bring death, let us stay alert and guard our hearts.

🦋 Meditation verse - கொலோசெயர் 3:5 / Colossians 3:5

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1704                                           ஆதவன் 07.10.2025 செவ்வாய்    

"விபச்சாரம், அசுத்தம், மோகம், துர்இச்சை, விக்கிரகாராதனையான பொருளாசை ஆகிய இவைகளைப் பூமியில் உண்டுபண்ணுகிற உங்கள் அவயவங்களை அழித்துப்போடுங்கள்." (கொலோசெயர் 3:5)

தேவன் அருவெறுக்கும் இரண்டு முக்கிய பாவங்கள் விபச்சாரம் மற்றும் விக்கிரக ஆராதனை. நம்முடைய தேவன் பரிசுத்தர். அவரை நாம் அறியவும், அடையவும் வேண்டுமானால் நாமும் அதற்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாக வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஆனால் உலகமானது இந்த இரண்டு பாவங்களில்தான் சிக்கிச்  சீரழிழிந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. "யாவரோடும் சமாதானமாயிருக்கவும், பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கவும் நாடுங்கள்; பரிசுத்தமில்லாமல் ஒருவனும் கர்த்தரைத் தரிசிப்பதில்லையே." ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 14 ) என்கிறார் எபிரெய நிருப ஆசிரியர். 

மேலும், அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "விபசாரக்காரனாவது, அசுத்தனாவது, விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரனாகிய பொருளாசைக்காரனாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யமாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே சுதந்தரமடைவதில்லையென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே." ( எபேசியர் 5 : 5 ) என்று நம்மை அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார். 

நாம் இந்தப் பாவங்களிலிருந்து விடுபடவேண்டுமானால், "இவைகளைப் பூமியில் உண்டுபண்ணுகிற உங்கள் அவயவங்களை அழித்துப்போடுங்கள்" என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. இப்படிக் கூறுவதால் பாவத்தைத் தூண்டும் உடல் உறுப்புக்களை நாம் ஒரேயடியாக அழித்துவிடவேண்டும் என்று பொருளல்ல, மாறாக அந்தப் பாவ உறுப்புக்களைக் கிறிஸ்துவோடுகூடச் சிலுவையில் அறைந்துவிடுங்கள் என்று பொருள். 

இந்தப் பாவங்களுக்கு நேராக நம்மை இழுத்துச் செல்வது இச்சை எனும் பாவம். ஏசா இச்சையால் இழுக்கப்பட்டு ஒருவேளைக் கூழுக்காக தனது சேஷ்டபுத்திரபாகத்தை யாக்கோபுக்கு விற்றுப்போட்டான். அதுபோல,  "ஒருவனும் வேசிக்கள்ளனாகவும், ஒருவேளைப் போஜனத்துக்காகத் தன் சேஷ்டபுத்திரபாகத்தை விற்றுப்போட்ட ஏசாவைப்போலச் சீர்கெட்டவனாகவும் இராதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்." ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 16 ) என்று வேதம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, அன்று ஏதேனில் முதல் மனிதன் கண்களின் இச்சையால் இழுப்புண்டுதான் பாவத்தில் சிக்கினான். எனவே நாம் இச்சை எனும் பாவத்துக்கு விலகும்போது மட்டுமே இத்தகைய பாவங்களிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறமுடியும்.  "அவனவன் தன்தன் சுய இச்சையினாலே இழுக்கப்பட்டு, சிக்குண்டு, சோதிக்கப்படுகிறான். பின்பு இச்சையானது கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, பாவத்தைப் பிறப்பிக்கும், பாவம் பூரணமாகும்போது, மரணத்தைப் பிறப்பிக்கும்." ( யாக்கோபு 1 : 14-15 )

நமது ஆண்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இதனால்தான்,  "உன் கண் உனக்கு இடறல் உண்டாக்கினால், அதைப் பிடுங்கி எறிந்துபோடு; இரண்டு கண்ணுடையவனாய் எரிநரகத்தில் தள்ளப்படுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், ஒற்றைக்கண்ணனாய் ஜீவனுக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பது உனக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்." ( மத்தேயு 18 : 9 ) என்று அறிவுறுத்தினார். 

நமது சுய பலத்தினால் இந்தப் பாவங்களிலிருந்து நாம் விடுபடமுடியாது; கர்த்தரின் ஆவியானவரே நம்மை விடுவிக்கமுடியும். "கர்த்தரே ஆவியானவர்; கர்த்தருடைய ஆவி எங்கேயோ அங்கே விடுதலையுமுண்டு.' ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 3 : 17 ) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கவில்லையா? எனவே, இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுவதுபோல, விபச்சாரம், அசுத்தம், மோகம், துர்இச்சை, விக்கிரகாராதனையான பொருளாசை ஆகிய இவைகளைப் பூமியில் உண்டுபண்ணுகிற நமது அவயவங்களை ஆவியானவரின் வழிநடத்துதலுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து ஜெபிப்போம், அப்போது மட்டுமே நாம் இவைகளிலிருந்து முழு விடுதலை பெற முடியும்; பரிசுத்தமாக வாழமுடியும்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1704
AATHAVAN – Tuesday, 07.10.2025

“Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.” (Colossians 3:5)

There are two major sins that God abhors: sexual immorality and idolatry. Our God is holy. If we are to know Him and draw near to Him, we too must live in holiness. But the world today is caught and ruined by these very sins. The writer of Hebrews exhorts us: “Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14)

Furthermore, the Apostle Paul instructs us: “For you know this with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.” (Ephesians 5:5)

If we are to be freed from such sins, today’s meditation verse tells us: “Treat the parts of your earthly body as dead.” This does not mean we are to literally destroy the members of our body, but rather that we must crucify those sinful desires with Christ.

What primarily draws us into such sins is lustful desire. Esau, being led by his desire, sold his birthright to Jacob for a single meal. That is why the Scripture warns us: “See to it that there be no sexually immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.” (Hebrews 12:16)

Yes, beloved, even the first man in Eden fell into sin because of the lust of the eyes. Therefore, we can only be freed from such sins when we turn away from sinful desires. The Word of God reminds us: “But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death.” (James 1:14–15)

That is why our Lord Jesus Christ taught: “And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fiery hell.” (Matthew 18:9)

By our own strength, we cannot free ourselves from these sins. Only the Spirit of the Lord can deliver us. Do we not read, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Therefore, as today’s verse urges, let us yield our earthly members—sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry—to the leading of the Holy Spirit in prayer. Only then can we experience complete deliverance and live a life of holiness.

🦋 Meditation verse - யாத்திராகமம் 14 : 14 / Exodus 14:14

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1703                                          ஆதவன் 06.10.2025 திங்கள்   

"கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்காக யுத்தம்பண்ணுவார்; நீங்கள் சும்மாயிருப்பீர்கள்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 14 : 14 )

நாம் சிறு கைக்குழந்தையாக  இருந்தபோது  நம்மால் எதுவும் செய்யமுடியாத நிலையில் இருந்தோம். அப்போது நமது அனைத்துத் தேவைகளையும் நமது தாய்தான் செய்தார்கள். மட்டுமல்ல, நமது தகப்பனும், நெருங்கிய உறவினர்களும்  நமக்கான அனைத்துப் பணிவிடைகளையும் செய்தனர்; நாம் சும்மா இருந்தோம்.  இதுபோலவே நாம் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது நமக்கான அனைத்தையும் தேவனே செய்து முடிப்பார்.

இப்படிச் சொல்வதால், நாம் ஒன்றும் செய்யாமல் சும்மா இருக்கவேண்டுமென்று பொருளல்ல. நாம் நமது கடமைகளைச் செய்யவேண்டும். அப்படிச் செய்யும்போது, நம்மால் முடியாத காரியங்களை கர்த்தர் நமக்காகச் செய்வார். ஒருவேளை நம்மால் எதிர்த்துப் போராட முடியாத நோயாக இருக்கலாம், பொருளாதார நெருக்கடியாக இருக்கலாம், நம்மை எதிர்த்துச் செயல்படும் எதிரிகளின் செயல்பாடாக இருக்கலாம் இவை அனைத்திலும் கர்த்தர் நமக்காக யுத்தம்பண்ணுவார்; நாம் சும்மாயிருப்போம்.

வேதத்தில் நாம் "கர்த்தர் எரிச்சலுள்ளவரும் நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுகிறவருமான தேவன்; கர்த்தர் நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுகிறவர், உக்கிரகோபமுள்ளவர்; கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களுக்குப் பிரதிபலன் அளிக்கிறவர் அவர் தம்முடைய பகைஞருக்காகக் கோபத்தை வைத்துவைக்கிறவர்." ( நாகூம் 1 : 2 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். அவர் தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களுக்குப் பிரதிபலன் அளிக்கிறவர். இங்கு "தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களுக்கு" என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது கவனிக்கத்தக்கது. அதாவது கர்த்தரது பிள்ளைகளுக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுபவர்கள் அவரது சத்துருக்கள். அவர்கள்மேல் அவர் கோபம் கொள்கின்றார். 

பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் மட்டுமல்ல, புதிய ஏற்பாட்டில்கூட  நாம் "உங்களை உபத்திரவப்படுத்துகிறவர்களுக்கு உபத்திரவத்தையும், உபத்திரவப்படுகிற உங்களுக்கு எங்களோடேகூட இளைப்பாறுதலையும் பிரதிபலனாகக்கொடுப்பது தேவனுக்கு நீதியாயிருக்கிறதே." ( 2 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 1 : 6 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கு உபத்திரவம் கொடுப்பவர்களை அவர் உபாத்திரவப்படுத்துகின்றார்; உபத்திரவப்படுகின்ற தனது பிள்ளைகளுக்கு   இளைப்பாறுதலை  அளிக்கின்றார்.

கர்த்தர் நமக்காக யுத்தம் செய்வதால் நாம் நமக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுபவர்களை எதிர்த்துப் போராடவேண்டியதில்லை; அவர்களைப் பழிவாங்கும் செயல்களிலும் நாம் ஈடுபடக்கூடாது என்று வேதம் நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது. ஆம், "பழிவாங்குதல் எனக்குரியது, நானே பதிற்செய்வேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றும், கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார் என்றும் சொன்னவர் இன்னாரென்று அறிவோம்." ( எபிரெயர் 10 : 30 )

கர்த்தர் நமக்காக யுத்தம் செய்யவேண்டுமானால் நாம் இந்தத் தியானத்தின் ஆரம்பத்தில் பார்த்ததுபோல நமது குணங்கள் குழந்தைத்தனமாக மாறவேண்டும்; தேவ வார்தைகளுக்கு நாம்  கீழ்ப்படியவேண்டும். ஆம், "அன்றியும், உன் சத்துரு பசியாயிருந்தால், அவனுக்கு போஜனங்கொடு; அவன் தாகமாயிருந்தால், அவனுக்குப் பானங்கொடு; நீ இப்படிச் செய்வதினால் அக்கினித்தழலை அவன் தலையின்மேல் குவிப்பாய். நீ தீமையினாலே வெல்லப்படாமல், தீமையை நன்மையினாலே வெல்லு." ( ரோமர் 12 : 20 - 21 )

இப்படித் தேவனுக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வோமானால்,  "கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்காக யுத்தம்பண்ணுவார்; நீங்கள் சும்மாயிருப்பீர்கள்." என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1703
AATHAVAN – Monday, 06.10.2025

“The Lord will fight for you, while you keep silent.” (Exodus 14:14 NASB)

When we were little infants, we could do nothing by ourselves. At that stage, it was our mothers who provided for all our needs. Not only that, but our fathers and close relatives also took care of everything concerning us, while we simply rested. In the same way, when we live a life pleasing to God, He will accomplish all that concerns us.

This does not mean that we should sit idle and do nothing. We must fulfil our responsibilities. But when we do so, the Lord will take care of the matters that are beyond our ability. It may be a sickness that we cannot overcome, a financial crisis, or enemies who rise against us. In all these things, the Lord Himself will fight for us while we remain still.

The Bible says: “A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is avenging and wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.” (Nahum 1:2). Notice that it says, “His enemies.” Those who act against the children of God become His enemies, and He will show His anger toward them.

Not only in the Old Testament, but also in the New Testament, we read: “For after all it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels.” (2 Thessalonians 1:6–7). God brings affliction upon those who trouble His children, and He grants rest to those who suffer for His sake.

Since the Lord fights for us, we need not rise against those who oppose us, nor should we take revenge. The Bible warns us clearly: “For we know Him who said, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.’ And again, ‘The Lord will judge His people.’” (Hebrews 10:30).

But for the Lord to fight on our behalf, our character must be childlike, as we saw in the beginning of this meditation, and we must submit to His Word. As it is written: “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:20–21).

If we live such a life that is pleasing to God, then surely, as He has promised: “The Lord will fight for you, while you keep silent.” (Exodus 14:14).

🦋 Meditation verse - எண்ணாகமம் 9 : 23 / Numbers 9:23

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1702                                           ஆதவன் 05.10.2025 ஞாயிறு  

"கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே பாளயமிறங்குவார்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே பிரயாணம்பண்ணுவார்கள்; கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக்கொண்டு கட்டளையிடுகிறபடியே கர்த்தருடைய காவலைக் காத்துக்கொள்வார்கள்." ( எண்ணாகமம் 9 : 23 )

தங்களது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வினைத்  தேவனுக்கேற்றவிதத்தில், அவரது வார்த்தைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து  ஆரம்பம் செய்யும் பலர் பிற்பாடு பிரச்சனைகள்,  உலக ஆசை,  இச்சை இவைகளுக்கு அடிமைகளாகி தேவனைவிட்டுப் பின்வாங்கிவிடுகின்றனர். இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களது வாழ்க்கையும்  இப்படித்தான் இருந்தது. தேவனது  கட்டளைகளின்படியே கீழ்ப்படிந்து வாழ்ந்தவர்கள் பிற்பாடு முமுறுக்கத் துவங்கி தேவனுக்குக் கோபமூட்டுபவர்களாக மாறிவிட்டனர். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடைய ஆரம்பகாலக்  கீழ்ப்படிதலைக் குறித்து வாசிக்கின்றோம். மோசே தேவனிடம் பேசி தேவன் கூறுவதை மக்களுக்கு அறிவித்து வந்தார். அவர்களும் அவர் சொல்வதற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தார்கள். இப்படிக் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே பாளயமிறங்குவார்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே பிரயாணம்பண்ணுவார்கள். ஆனால் இவை அனைத்தும் அவர்கள் மனப்பூர்வமாகச் செய்த செயலல்ல. காரணம் அவர்கள் மனம்  தேவனையல்ல; மாறாக, கானான் தேசத்துச் செழிப்பையே நோக்கியதாக இருந்ததால் இப்படித் தேவனுக்கு ஆரபத்தில் கீழ்ப்படிந்தார்கள்; அந்த ஆசீர்வாதத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் எனும் ஒரே நோக்கத்துக்காக இப்படிக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தார்கள்.  

எனவே, வழியில் தண்ணீர் பற்றாக்குறை ஏற்பட்டபோது அவர்களிடம் அந்தக் கீழ்ப்படிதல் இல்லாமல் போயிற்று. "அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் மோசேக்கு விரோதமாய் முறுமுறுத்து: என்னத்தைக் குடிப்போம் என்றார்கள்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 15 : 24 )

இதுபோலவே, இறைச்சி உணவின்மேல் ஆசைகொண்டு  "அந்த வனாந்தரத்திலே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையார் எல்லாரும் மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் விரோதமாக முறுமுறுத்து: நாங்கள் இறைச்சிப் பாத்திரங்களண்டையிலே உட்கார்ந்து அப்பத்தைத் திருப்தியாகச் சாப்பிட்ட எகிப்து தேசத்திலே, கர்த்தரின் கையால் செத்துப்போனோமானால் தாவிளை; இந்தக் கூட்டம் முழுவதையும் பட்டினியினால் கொல்லும்படி நீங்கள் எங்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, இந்த வனாந்தரத்திலே அழைத்துவந்தீர்களே என்று அவர்களிடத்தில் சொன்னார்கள்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 16 : 3 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் உலகத் தேவைகளுக்காக தேவனை நாடி வாழ்வோமானால் இஸ்ரவேலரைப்போலவே இருப்போம். பலர் ஆரம்ப காலங்களில் ஆவிக்குரிய ஆராதனைகளில் கலந்துகொண்டு கைதட்டி ஆர்ப்பரித்து தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தி அவரது வார்த்தைகளைத் தியானித்து வாழ்ந்துவிட்டு, பிரச்சனைகளையோ துன்பங்களையோ காணும்போது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களைப்போல முமுறுத்து தேவனுக்குக் கோபமூட்டுபவர்களாக மாறிவிடுகின்றனர். நாம் இப்படி இருக்கக் கூடாது என்று தேவன் அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார். 

தனது வார்த்தைகளைத் தள்ளி வாழ்பவர்களை தேவன் உடனேயே வெறுத்துத் தள்ளிவிடுபவரல்ல. ஆவியானவர்மூலம் பல்வேறு விதங்களில் அவர்களைத் தனக்கு நேராகத் திருப்ப தேவன் முயலுகின்றார். அவரது குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பது அவசியம். "ஆகையால், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் சொல்லுகிறபடியே: இன்று அவருடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்பீர்களாகில், வனாந்தரத்திலே கோபமூட்டினபோதும், சோதனைநாளிலும் நடந்ததுபோல, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைக் கடினப்படுத்தாதிருங்கள்". ( எபிரெயர் 3 : 7-8 ) என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். 

ஏதாவது விதத்தில் தேவனை வாழ்வில் அறிந்தவர்களாக நீங்கள் இருப்பீர்களென்றால் ஆரம்ப காலத்தில் அவர் குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்ததுபோல எப்போதும் செவிகொடுப்பவர்களாக வாழ முயற்சியெடுங்கள். "நாம் ஆரம்பத்திலே கொண்ட நம்பிக்கையை முடிவுபரியந்தம் உறுதியாய்ப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருப்போமாகில், கிறிஸ்துவினிடத்தில் பங்குள்ளவர்களாயிருப்போம்." ( எபிரெயர் 3 : 14 ) இல்லையானால் தேவனால் தள்ளப்பட்டு பரிதபிக்கக்கூடிய நிலைக்குச் சென்றுவிடுவோம்.  

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, இஸ்ரவேலரின் ஆரம்ப காலப்  பயணத்தைப்போல எப்போதும் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே பாளயமிறங்குங்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே பிரயாணம்பண்ணுங்கள். அப்போது கர்த்தரது ஆசீர்வாதம் என்றும் நம்மோடு இருக்கும்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1702
AATHAVAN – Sunday, 05.10.2025

“At the command of the Lord they camped, and at the command of the Lord they set out; they did their duty to the Lord, in accordance with the command of the Lord through Moses.” (Numbers 9:23)

Many begin their spiritual journey in obedience to God’s Word, but later, because of problems, worldly desires, and temptations, they fall away from God. The life of the Israelites was also like this. At first, they obeyed God’s commands faithfully, but soon they began to murmur and turn into those who provoked the Lord to anger.

In today’s meditation verse, we read about the Israelites’ initial obedience. Moses would speak with God and pass His commands to the people, and they obeyed. At the Lord’s command they camped; at the Lord’s command they set out. Yet their obedience was not wholehearted. Their minds were not set on God Himself but on the blessings of the land of Canaan. They obeyed only with the hope of gaining prosperity.

That is why when they faced difficulties, such as lack of water, their obedience disappeared: “So the people grumbled at Moses, saying, ‘What are we to drink?’” (Exodus 15:24).

Similarly, when they craved meat, “Then the whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. The sons of Israel said to them, ‘If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread until we were full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger.’” (Exodus 16:2–3).

Beloved, if we follow God only for worldly needs, then we are no different from the Israelites. Many who once clapped, shouted, worshiped with zeal, and meditated on His Word, later, when faced with trials and hardships, begin to murmur like the Israelites and provoke God to anger. The Lord warns us not to be like this.

Yet God does not instantly cast away those who push aside His Word. Through the Holy Spirit, He strives in many ways to draw them back to Himself. That is why it is essential to listen to His voice. “Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, ‘Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me, as on the day of trial in the wilderness.’” (Hebrews 3:7–8).

If you have in some way known God in your life, then strive always to listen to His voice, just as you did in the beginning. “For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end.” (Hebrews 3:14). Otherwise, we may end up in a state of rejection and sorrow.

Therefore, beloved, just as the Israelites in their early journey, let us always camp at the command of the Lord and set out at the command of the Lord. Then the blessing of the Lord will remain with us forever.

🦋 Meditation verse - 1 கொரிந்தியர் 1:22-23 / 1 Corinthians 1:22–23

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1701                                          ஆதவன் 04.10.2025 சனி 

"யூதர்கள் அடையாளத்தைக் கேட்கிறார்கள், கிரேக்கர் ஞானத்தைத் தேடுகிறார்கள்; நாங்களோ சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட கிறிஸ்துவைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறோம்; அவர் யூதருக்கு இடறலாயும் கிரேக்கருக்குப் பைத்தியமாயும் இருக்கிறார்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 1:22-23)

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்து சீடர்கள் மக்களுக்குப் போதித்தபோது  அவர்களுக்கு யூதர்களும் கிரேக்கர்களும் மிகப்பெரிய சவாலாக இருந்தனர்.  ஏனெனில், யூதர்கள் பெரிய அறிவாளிகளாக இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் எதனையும் உடனடியாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை. போதுமான சரியான ஆதாரங்கள் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே ஒரு காரியத்தை யூதர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்.  கிரேக்கர்கள் ஞானம் மிக்கவர்கள். கிரேக்க ஞானிகளது சிந்தனை இன்றும் உலக மக்களால் புகழப்படுகின்றன. 

ஆனால் தேவனை மனித அறிவாலும் மனித ஞானத்தாலும் அறிந்துகொள்ளமுடியாது எனும் சத்தியத்தை அவர்கள் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளவில்லை.. ஒருவன் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தி தனது பாவங்களை உணர்ந்து மனம்திரும்பினால் மட்டுமே தேவனை வாழ்வில் அறியமுடியும். ஆனால் இதற்கு மாறாக, யூதர்கள் தங்கள் அறிவாலும் கிரேக்கர்கள் தங்களது ஞானத்தாலும் தேவனை அறிய முயன்றனர். எனவேதான், யூதர்கள் அடையாளத்தைக் கேட்கிறார்கள், கிரேக்கர் ஞானத்தைத் தேடுகிறார்கள் ஆனால்  நாங்களோ இவர்களைப்பற்றி கவலைப்படவில்லை; மாறாக, சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட கிறிஸ்துவைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறோம் என்று கூறுகின்றார் பவுல். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைப்பற்றிய போதனைகள்  யூதருக்கு இடறலாயும் கிரேக்கருக்குப் பைத்தியமாயும் இருந்தாலும் அந்த "ஞானிகளை வெட்கப்படுத்தும்படி தேவன் உலகத்தில் பைத்தியமானவைகளைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்; பலமுள்ளவைகளை வெட்கப்படுத்தும்படி தேவன் உலகத்தில் பலவீனமானவைகளைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 1:27) என்கின்றார் அவர். "எப்படியெனில், தேவஞானத்துக்கேற்றபடி உலகமானது சுயஞானத்தினாலே தேவனை அறியாதிருக்கையில், பைத்தியமாகத் தோன்றுகிற பிரசங்கத்தினாலே விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்களை இரட்சிக்க தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாயிற்று".(1 கொரிந்தியர் 1:27) 

யூதர்களும் கிரேக்கர்களும் அற்பமாக, அறிவில்லாதவர்கள், பைத்தியக்காரர்கள்  என்று  எண்ணிய மக்களைத் தேவன் தனக்காகத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார். அன்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவையும் யூதர்கள் இப்படி அற்பமாகவே எண்ணிக்கொண்டனர். அவரைத் தச்சனின் மகன்தானே என்று எண்ணிக்கொண்டனர்; அவரையும் பைத்தியக்காரர் என்றுதான் கூறினர்.  எனவேதான் "அவரைச் சோதிக்கும்படி வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காட்டவேண்டுமென்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டார்கள்."  (லூக்கா 11:16) அதாவது இவர் இறைமகன் என்றால் மற்றவர்களைவிட மேலானவர் என்பதனை ஏதாவது அற்புதத்தை வானத்தில் தெரியும்படிக் காண்பித்துத் தன்னை மெய்ப்பிக்கவேண்டும் என்று  விரும்பினர்.

ஆனால் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "இந்தச் சந்ததியார் பொல்லாதவர்களாயிருக்கிறார்கள், அடையாளத்தைத் தேடுகிறார்கள்; ஆனாலும் யோனா தீர்க்கதரிசியின் அடையாளமேயன்றி வேறே அடையாளம் இவர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படுவதில்லை." (லூக்கா 11: 29) என்றார். அதாவது யோனா மூன்று நாட்கள் மீனின் வயிற்றில் இருந்ததுபோல தானும் இந்தப் பூமியின் வயிற்றினுள் மூன்றுநாட்கள் இருப்பதே தான் இறைமகன் என்பதற்கு அடையாளம் என்று உவமையாகக் கூறினார். 

இன்றும் கிறிஸ்தவத்துக்கு எதிரிகள் வெளியிலல்ல,  கிறிஸ்தவ போர்வைக்குள்ளேயே இருக்கின்றனர். தங்களது தப்பறையான போதனைகளால் மக்களது விசுவாசத்தை இவர்கள் கெடுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். ஆம், தங்களைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பலர்கூட நாம் பார்த்த யூதர்களைப்போலவும் கிரேக்கர்களைப்போலவும் தான் இருக்கின்றனர். அவர்கள் வேதாகம சத்தியங்களை உறுதியாக நம்புவதில்லை. இவர்கள் தங்களது படிப்பறிவினாலும், உலக ஞானத்தாலும் வேதாகம உண்மைகளை அறிய முயலுகின்றனர்; அதனைத் திரித்துப் பிரசங்கிக்கின்றனர்.  இதன் விளைவே விடுதலை இறையியல் எனும் தப்பறை சிந்தனை. 

இவர்களுக்கு  நாம் சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட கிறிஸ்துவைப் பிரசங்கிப்பது இடறலாயும் பைத்தியமாயும் இருக்கின்றது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைச் சோதிக்கும்படி அவரிடம் அடையாளத்தைக் கேட்டதுபோல நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய செய்திகளைக் கூறும்போது நம்மிடம், "இப்படிப் பேசுகின்றாயே, எழுதுகின்றாயே உன்னால் ஏன் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர் செய்ததுபோல அற்புதம் செய்யமுடியவில்லை?" என இடக்கான கேள்வியைக் கேட்கின்றனர்.  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்து யூதருக்கும் கிரேக்கருக்கும் மட்டுமல்ல, இன்று இவர்களுக்கும் பைத்தியமாய் இருக்கிறார். இந்த அறிவால் இவர்கள் அப்பாவி மக்களை நரகத்துக்கு நேராக நடத்துகின்றார்கள். ஆனால், பவல் அப்போஸ்தலர் கூறியதுபோல ஒன்று மட்டும் உண்மையாக இருக்கின்றது:-   "சிலுவையைப் பற்றிய உபதேசம் கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்குப் பைத்தியமாயிருக்கிறது, இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிற நமக்கோ அது தேவபெலனாயிருக்கிறது". (I கொரிந்தியர்1:18) இரட்சிக்கப்படுகின்ற நாம் தேவ பெலத்தோடே சிலுவையின் உபதேசத்தை உறுதியாகப் பற்றிக்கொள்வோம்.

Aathavan – Saturday, 04.10.2025

“For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness.” (1 Corinthians 1:22–23)

When the disciples taught the people about our Lord Jesus Christ, they faced strong challenges from both the Jews and the Greeks. The Jews were known as great thinkers. They would not accept anything quickly. Only if there was sufficient and convincing evidence would they acknowledge it. The Greeks, on the other hand, were famous for their wisdom, and the thoughts of Greek philosophers are still admired by people across the world today.

Yet, they failed to realize the truth that God cannot be known through human reasoning or human wisdom. Only when a person humbles himself, recognizes his sins, and repents, can he truly know God in his life. But instead, the Jews tried to know God through their reasoning, and the Greeks through their wisdom. That is why Paul says, “For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified”—we do not concern ourselves with their demands, but proclaim Christ who was crucified.

Though the preaching of Jesus Christ was a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Greeks, Paul further declares, “God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.” (1 Corinthians 1:27). And again, “For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” (1 Corinthians 1:21).

The Jews and Greeks considered the humble, the unlearned, and those whom they mocked as “fools” to be of no value—yet it was precisely these whom God chose for Himself. In those days, the Jews also despised Jesus Christ. They thought, “Is He not the carpenter’s son?” and even called Him mad. Thus, “Others, to test Him, were demanding of Him a sign from heaven.” (Luke 11:16). In other words, they wanted Him to prove Himself as the Son of God by showing a miracle in the heavens greater than what others could do.

But Jesus replied, “This generation is a wicked generation; it demands a sign, and yet no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” (Luke 11:29). He was referring to His death and resurrection, just as Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days—so too, the Son of Man would be in the heart of the earth for three days. That would be the true sign of His divinity.

Even today, the greatest opposition to Christianity does not come from outside, but from within. Many, under the cloak of Christianity, corrupt the faith of people with their false teachings. Yes, many who call themselves Christians are just like the Jews and Greeks we saw earlier. They do not firmly believe the truths of Scripture. Instead, they twist the Word of God, trying to understand it through their own learning and worldly wisdom. From this distortion arose misleading teachings such as so-called “liberation theology.”

For such people, our preaching of Christ crucified continues to be a stumbling block and foolishness. Just as the Jews demanded a sign from Jesus to test Him, they challenge us when we share spiritual truths, asking: “If you speak and write like this, why can’t you perform miracles like the Apostle Paul did?”

Beloved, Christ is still foolishness not only to Jews and Greeks but also to such people today. With their intellect, they lead innocent souls straight to hell. But as the Apostle Paul said, there is one truth that stands firm: “For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18). Therefore, we who are being saved must firmly hold on to the message of the cross as the power of God.

🦋 Meditation verse - 2 நாளாகமம் 19 : 7 / 2 Chronicles 19:7

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1700                                           ஆதவன் 03.10.2025 வெள்ளி      

"கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயம் உங்களிடத்தில் இருக்கக்கடவது, எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து காரியத்தை நடத்துங்கள்; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்திலே அநியாயமும் முகதாட்சிணியமும் இல்லை, பரிதானமும் அவரிடத்திலே செல்லாது. " ( 2 நாளாகமம் 19 : 7 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் பாவ காரியங்கள் பெருகி வருவதற்கு முக்கியமான காரணம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் மனிதர்களிடம் இல்லாமல் போனதுதான்.  ஒரு மனிதன் தேவனை வாழ்வில் அறிந்துகொண்டான் என்றால் அவனிடம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் ஏற்படும். அவன் தீமையையும் பாவ காரியங்களையம் வெறுப்பவனாக இருப்பான். இதனையே வேதம்,  "தீமையை வெறுப்பதே கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் " ( நீதிமொழிகள் 8 : 13 ) என்று கூறுகின்றது. 

நாம் பொதுவாக மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயந்து சில காரியங்களை செய்கின்றோம் அல்லது சிலவற்றைச் செய்யாமல் தவிர்க்கின்றோம். இப்படி மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயப்படுவது ஒருவேளை குறுகியகால நன்மைகளை நமக்குத் தரலாம்.  ஆனால் பலவேளைகளில் மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் பல பிரச்னைகளை உருவாக்கும். நாம் கர்த்தரை நம்பிச் செயல்படுவோமானால் அனைத்துக் காரியங்களிலும் நமக்கு வெற்றி உண்டு. ஆம், "மனுஷனுக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் கண்ணியை வருவிக்கும்; கர்த்தரை நம்புகிறவனோ உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலத்திலே வைக்கப்படுவான்." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 29 : 25 )

நாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்துடன் வாழ்வதே அவரை அன்புசெய்வதாகும். இப்படி நாம் அவரை அன்புசெய்து அவருக்குப் பயந்து வாழ்வோமானால் நமது வாழ்வில் பயம் அகன்றுபோகும். "அன்பிலே பயமில்லை; பூரண அன்பு பயத்தைப் புறம்பே தள்ளும்; பயமானது வேதனையுள்ளது, பயப்படுகிறவன் அன்பில் பூரணப்பட்டவன் அல்ல." ( 1 யோவான்  4 : 18 ) என்று இயேசுவின் அன்புச்  சீடனான யோவான் கூறுகின்றார். 

பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்காலத்தில் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் முரட்டாட்டமுள்ள இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தனர். அவர்களுக்கு தேவனிடம் அன்பைவிட பயம்தான் அதிகமாக இருந்தது. அதனால் அந்த மக்கள் தன்னைப்பற்றும் பயத்துடன் வாழவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக தேவன் மலைமேல் எழுந்தருளினார்.  இதனை, "மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி; பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; உங்களைச் சோதிப்பதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் பாவஞ்செய்யாதபடிக்குத் தம்மைப் பற்றும் பயம் உங்கள் முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருப்பதற்காகவும், தேவன் எழுந்தருளினார் என்றான்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 20 : 20 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆனால் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்களாகிய நமக்குத் தேவன் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைத் தந்துள்ளார். அன்பின் ஆவியான அவரே நம்மைத் தேவ பாதையில் நடத்துகின்றார்.   "மேலும் நமக்கு அருளப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே தேவ அன்பு நம்முடைய இருதயங்களில் ஊற்றப்பட்டிருக்கிறபடியால், அந்த நம்பிக்கை நம்மை வெட்கப்படுத்தாது." ( ரோமர் 5 : 5 ) என்று பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர் கூறுகின்றார். 

ஏனோதானோ என்று வாழ்ந்துவிட்டு நாம் இறுதியில் தேவனுடைய தீர்ப்புக்குத் தப்பிவிடலாம் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்ளக்கூடாது என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது. இதனையே இந்தத்  தியான வசனத்தின் இறுதியில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம், "எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து காரியத்தை நடத்துங்கள்; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்திலே அநியாயமும் முகதாட்சிணியமும் இல்லை, பரிதானமும் அவரிடத்திலே செல்லாது. "

அதாவது, நாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்துடன் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து நமது வாழ்க்கையினை வாழவேண்டும்.  மனிதர்களுக்கு கையூட்டுக் கொடுப்பதுபோல தேவனுக்கு நாம் கையூட்டுக் கொடுத்து நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் தப்பிவிட முடியாது. மட்டுமல்ல, அவர் அநியாயத் தீர்ப்புச் செய்வதுமில்லை, முகதாட்சிணியம் பார்ப்பதுமில்லை. 

கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்துடன் வாழ்வோம், நமது பிள்ளைகளையும் அதுபோன்ற பயத்துடன் வாழப் பழக்குவோம். அதற்கு முதலாவதாக தேவனையுடைய வார்த்தைகள் நமக்குள் விதைக்கப்படவேண்டியது அவசியம். வேத வசனங்களை அன்றாடம் வாசித்துத் தியானிப்போம். அப்போதுதான்  கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்துடன் நாம் வாழமுடியும்.

“Now then let the dread of the LORD be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the LORD our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality, or the taking of a bribe.” (2 Chronicles 19:7)

The primary reason sin is increasing in this world is that people have lost the fear of the Lord. When a person truly comes to know God in his life, he develops the fear of the Lord. Such a person will hate evil and sinful deeds. Scripture says, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride, arrogance, the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate.” (Proverbs 8:13).

Often, we do certain things or avoid certain actions out of fear of men. This fear of men may at times bring temporary benefits, but in many cases, it creates serious problems. On the other hand, if we act with trust in the Lord, we will find success in all things. “The fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.” (Proverbs 29:25).

To live in the fear of the Lord is to love Him. When we love Him and walk in His fear, all other fears in life will fade away. As the beloved disciple John said: “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” (1 John 4:18).

In the Old Testament, the people of Israel were stubborn and hard-hearted. They often had more fear than love toward God. That is why God descended upon the mountain so that they would live in reverent fear of Him. “Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin.’” (Exodus 20:20).

But in this New Testament age, God has given us the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Love Himself guides us in the way of God. As Paul the Apostle writes: “And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5).

Today’s meditation verse reminds us that we must not think we can live carelessly and somehow escape God’s judgment in the end. That is why the Word strongly warns us: “Be very careful what you do, for the LORD our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality, or the taking of a bribe.” (2 Chronicles 19:7).

This means we must live cautiously in the fear of the Lord. Just as we bribe men to escape justice, we cannot bribe God on the day of His righteous judgment. He does not render unjust verdicts, nor does He show partiality.

Therefore, let us live in the fear of the Lord and train our children to do the same. For this, it is essential that the Word of God be sown in us first. Let us read and meditate on Scripture daily, for only then will we be able to walk in the true fear of the Lord.
