ஒப்புதல் வாக்குமூலம் / CONFESSION

ஆதவன் 🔥 982🌻 அக்டோபர் 06, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"கர்த்தாவே, எங்கள் அக்கிரமங்கள் எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சாட்சியிட்டாலும், உம்முடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் கிருபைசெய்யும்; எங்கள் சீர்கேடுகள் மிகுதியாயிருக்கிறது; உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்தோம்."( எரேமியா 14 : 7 )

நாம் அனைவருமே தேவனை நோக்கி ஜெபிக்கவேண்டிய ஜெபமாக இன்றைய வசனம் இருக்கின்றது. நாம் எவ்வளவுதான் நல்லவர்களாக வாழவேண்டுமென்று நினைத்தாலும், நம்மையும் மீறி பாவம் செய்துவிடுகின்றோம். பாவத்தில் பெரிய பாவம் சின்ன பாவம் என்றில்லை; தேவனது குணங்கள் நம்மில் இல்லாமல் போகும்போது நாம் பாவம் செய்கின்றோம்.

பாவம் செய்வது என்பது கொலை, கற்பழிப்பு, திருட்டு போன்ற செயல்கள்தான்; இவற்றைச் செய்யாததனால் நாம் பாவம் செய்யவில்லை என்று பலரும் எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர்.  வேறு சிலர் தங்களிடம்  மது, பீடி, சிகரெட், வெற்றிலை, போதை வஸ்துக்கள் உபயோகித்தல்  போன்ற பழக்கங்கள் இல்லாததால் தங்களை பாவம் செய்யாதவர்கள் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர்.  ஆனால் அவைகளை இயல்பிலேயே செய்யாத மனிதர்கள் எல்லா மதங்களிலும் இருக்கின்றனர். 

அன்பானவர்களே ஆனால்,    பிறரை மதிக்காதபோது; வசதியில் குறைந்தவர்களை அற்பமாய் எண்ணும்போது; அந்தஸ்து பார்க்கும்போது; பிறருக்கு விரோதமான எண்ணங்கள் நம்மில் எழும்போது; நம்மோடு பணி செய்கின்றவர்களைப் பற்றி உயரதிகாரிகளுக்கு புகார் அளிக்கும்போது;  பொறாமை, மன்னிக்கமுடியாமை போன்ற குணங்கள் நம்மில் இருக்கும்போது; பெருமை ஏற்படும்போது;  நாம் பாவம் செய்கின்றோம்.  

பெரிய பாவம் என்று பொதுவாக மனிதர்கள் கருதும் பாவம் எதனையும் எரேமியா   செய்யவில்லை. ஆனால் அவர்  "எங்கள் அக்கிரமங்கள் எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சாட்சியிட்டாலும், உம்முடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் கிருபைசெய்யும்; எங்கள் சீர்கேடுகள் மிகுதியாயிருக்கிறது; உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்தோம்." என்று ஜெபிக்கின்றார். 

இந்தப் பாவ உணர்வும் அதனை அறிக்கையிடுதலும் பரிசுத்தவான்கள், நீதியை விரும்பியவர்கள் அனைவரிடமும் இருந்தது. தாவீது ராஜாவும் தனது பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிடும்போது, "தேவரீர் ஒருவருக்கே விரோதமாக நான் பாவஞ்செய்து, உமது கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பொல்லாங்கானதை நடப்பித்தேன்; நீர் பேசும்போது உம்முடைய நீதி விளங்கவும், நீர் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்போது, உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தம் விளங்கவும் இதை அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன்." ( சங்கீதம் 51 : 4 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

தேவனோடு நெருங்கிய உறவில் வளரவேண்டுமானால் நாம் அனைவரும் இந்த உணர்வோடு வாழவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. கடமைக்காக ஆலயத்துக்குச் செல்வதனாலும், ஜெபிப்பதனாலும், வேதாகமத்தை வாசிப்பதனாலும் ஜெபக்கூட்டங்களில் கலந்து கொள்வதாலும் எந்த ஆவிக்குரிய நன்மையையும் நமக்கு ஏற்படாது; தேவ உடனிருப்பையும் அவரது பிரசன்னத்தையும் நாம் அனுபவிக்கமுடியாது. 

நாம் நமது பாவங்களை உணர்ந்து அவரது மன்னிப்பை இறைஞ்சும்போது இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனம் கூறுவதுபோல, நமது  அக்கிரமங்கள் நமக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சாட்சியிட்டாலும், நமது சீர்கேடுகள் எவ்வளவு  மிகுதியாயிருந்தாலும்  அவர் நமக்குக் கிருபை செய்து நமக்கு இரக்கம் பாராட்டுவார்.

                    CONFESSION

AATHAVAN 🔥 982🌻 October 06, 2023 Friday

"O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee." (Jeremiah 14: 7)

Today's verse is a prayer that we all should pray to God. No matter how good we want to live, we sin against God without knowing ourselves. We cannot differentiate major sin or minor sin; When we behave against the will of God, we sin.

Many people think they are sinless because they do not do murder, rape, theft etc.; Others consider themselves to be sinless because they do not have the habit of alcohol, beedi, cigarettes, betel nuts, or drugs. But there are people in all religions who do not do them by nature.

Dear brothers and sisters, but when we do not respect others; when we treat the underprivileged lightly; we have status ego; when hostile thoughts arise in us; when making a complaint to higher authorities about our colleagues in office or work spot; when we have qualities like jealousy and unforgiveness; when pride arises; We sin.

Jeremiah did not commit any of the sins that men usually consider to be major sins. But he prays, “though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee”.

This sense of sin and its confession was in all the saints and those who loved righteousness. When King David confessed his sins, he said, "Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest." (Psalms 51: 4)

It is necessary for all of us to live with this feeling if we want to grow in a close relationship with God. Going to church as a duty, praying, reading the scriptures, and attending prayer meetings will not do us any spiritual good; by these acts, we cannot experience the presence of God in us.

As today's meditation verse says, when we confess our sins and pray for His forgiveness, He will show us His grace and mercy, no matter how many our iniquities testify against us.
