'ஆதவன்' 💚டிசம்பர் 16, 2024. 💚திங்கள்கிழமை

"அப்பொழுது பதினெட்டுவருஷமாய்ப் பலவீனப்படுத்தும் ஆவியைக்கொண்ட ஒரு ஸ்திரீ அங்கேயிருந்தாள். அவள் எவ்வளவும் நிமிரக்கூடாத கூனியாயிருந்தாள்." ( லுூக்கா 13: 11)

பலவீனமான கூன் முதுகுகொண்ட ஒரு பெண்ணைக்குறித்து லூக்கா நற்செய்தியில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். இந்தப் பெண்மணி பதினெட்டு ஆண்டுகள் இப்படிக் கூன் முதுகுடன் சிரமப்பட்டாள் என்பதைத் தவிர வேறு எந்தத் தகவலும் நமக்குக்  கொடுக்கப்படவில்லை. ஆனால் ஓய்வுநாளில் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அவளுக்குச் சுகம் அளித்ததை ஜெப ஆலயத் தலைவன் விரும்பவில்லை. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் எதுவும் சொல்லாமல் அவன் மக்களை அதட்டுகின்றான். ஓய்வுநாள் தவிர மற்ற நாட்களில் வந்து சுகம் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்கின்றான். 

மக்கள்மேல் உண்மையான அன்பு இல்லாத அவனை இயேசு "மாயக்காரனே" என்று அழைத்து  அவனுக்கு விளக்கமளிக்கின்றார். அப்போது அவர்  "இதோ, சாத்தான் பதினெட்டு வருஷமாய்க் கட்டியிருந்த ஆபிரகாமின் குமாரத்தியாகிய இவளை ஓய்வுநாளில் இந்தக் கட்டிலிருந்து அவிழ்த்துவிடவேண்டியதில்லையா என்றார்." ( லுூக்கா 13: 16)

இந்தச் சம்பவம் நமக்கு ஒரு உண்மையினை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றது. அந்தக் கூனி பாவி என்று கூறப்படவில்லை மாறாக, ஆபிரகாமின் குமாரத்தி என்றுதான்  கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது அவள் தேவனுக்கேற்ற விசுவாசம்கொண்ட ஒரு நல்ல பெண்மணி. ஆனால் அவளைச் சாத்தான் ஒன்றல்ல இரண்டல்ல...பதினெட்டு ஆண்டுகள் கட்டி வைத்திருந்தான்.!

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாமும் தேவனுக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தாலும் சில பலவீனங்கள் நம்மை சில காலங்கள் தாக்கி அடிமைப்படுத்தி வைத்தியிருக்கக்கூடும். அது பொருளாதார பலவீனமாயிருக்கலாம், அல்லது உடல் வியாதிகளாய் இருக்கலாம், அல்லது நாமே வெறுத்தும் நம்மால் விடமுடியாதச்  சில பாவப்  பழக்கவழக்கங்களாக இருக்கலாம்.  இந்தக் கூன் முதுகு பெண் அவதிப்பட்டதுபோல நாமும் அவற்றால் அவதிப்பட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் தேவன் நம்மைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். 

அந்தப்பெண் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் சென்று எனக்குச் சுகம்  தாரும் என்று கேட்கவில்லை. ஆனால் அவளது தேவையினை இயேசு அறிந்திருந்தார். அவள் கேட்காமலேயே அவளுக்குத் தாமாகச் சென்று உதவினார். ஆம், நாமும் அவளைப்போல ஆபிரகாமின் குமாரத்திகளாக, குமாரர்களாக வாழ்வோமானால் நிச்சயமாக நமது எந்தக் குறைவினையும் அவர் நிறைவாக்கிட  வல்லவராகவே இருக்கின்றார். 

"அவர் சகலத்தையும் அதனதன் காலத்திலே நேர்த்தியாகச் செய்திருக்கிறார்; உலகத்தையும் அவர்கள் உள்ளத்திலே வைத்திருக்கிறார்; ஆதலால் தேவன் ஆதிமுதல் அந்தம்மட்டும் செய்துவரும் கிரியையை மனுஷன் கண்டுபிடியான்." ( பிரசங்கி 3: 11)

எத்தனை ஆண்டுகள் ஆகியிருந்தாலும் விசுவாசத்தோடு காத்திருப்போம். நமது தேவைகளை அவர் நிறைவாக்குவார்.

Scripture Meditation - No. 1,408

AATHAVAN 💚 December 16, 2024. 💚 Monday

"And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself." (Luke 13:11)

In the Gospel of Luke, we read about a woman who had a spirit of infirmity that caused her to be bent over for eighteen years. We are not given much detail about her life except that she struggled with this condition for such a long time. However, on the Sabbath day, Jesus healed her, which displeased the ruler of the synagogue. Instead of addressing Jesus directly, he rebuked the people, saying, "Come and be healed on the other days, not on the Sabbath."

Jesus, seeing the lack of genuine love in this man, called him a hypocrite and clarified: "And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?" (Luke 13:16)

This event reveals an important truth. The woman was not labelled as a sinner but was identified as a daughter of Abraham, a believer faithful to God. Yet, Satan had bound her, not for a day or two but for eighteen long years!

Yes, dear ones, even when we strive to live a life pleasing to God, weaknesses may occasionally bind us for a time. These could be financial hardships, physical illnesses, or persistent sinful habits that we detest yet cannot seem to overcome. Like the bent woman who suffered, we too may endure struggles. But God sees us.

The woman didn’t ask Jesus to heal her or even voice her need, but Jesus, in His compassion, understood her pain and healed her. Likewise, if we live as faithful children of Abraham and strive to follow Him, God is mighty to fulfil all our needs and set us free from every weakness.

"He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also, he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

No matter how many years pass, let us wait in faith. God will meet our needs and make all things beautiful in His time.

There may be some like the ruler of the synagogue who try to shake our faith with sweet words, questioning our belief in Christ. Let us not give room to such hypocrites in our lives. Instead, let us stand firm and unwavering in our faith.

'ஆதவன்' டிசம்பர் 15, 2024. 💚ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறவன் கர்த்தரைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டக்கடவன். தன்னைத்தான் புகழுகிறவன் உத்தமனல்ல, கர்த்தரால் புகழப்படுகிறவனே உத்தமன்." (2 கொரிந்தியர் 10: 17, 18)

மேன்மைபாராட்டல் அல்லது பெருமை கொள்ளுதல் தேவனுக்குமுன் ஏற்புடைய செயலல்ல என்பதுபற்றி இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. இந்த உலகினில் மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் பதவி, அழகு, செல்வாக்கு, அந்தஸ்து இவை குறித்து பெருமையுள்ளவர்களாக உள்ளனர். ஆனால் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் இப்படி உலக செல்வங்களையும் அந்தஸ்துக்களையும் குறித்துப்  பெருமை கொள்பவன் நல்லவனாக இருக்கமுடியாது  என்று கூறுகின்றார். இதனையே அவர், "தன்னைத்தான் புகழுகிறவன் உத்தமனல்ல" என்று கூறுகின்றார்.  

இந்த உலகத்தில் மிகவும் மதிப்புமிக்கது கர்த்தரை வாழ்க்கையில் நாம் தனிப்பட்ட விதத்தில் அறிந்து அனுபவிப்பது. அதற்கு இணையானது உலகினில் எதுவுமில்லை. பெரிய பெரிய இறையியல் படிப்பு படித்தவர்களும் வேதாகமதில் ஆராய்ச்சிசெய்து முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்களும் அறிந்திராத இறை அனுபவங்களை சாதாரண கூலித்தொழிலாளர்கள், கட்டுமானப் பணியாளர்கள் அனுபவித்துக்  கூறுவதை நான் கேட்டுள்ளேன்.  இதுவே மேன்மையாகும். 

இதனையே எரேமியா "மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறவன் பூமியிலே கிருபையையும், நியாயத்தையும் நீதியையும் செய்கிற கர்த்தர் நான் என்று என்னை அறிந்து உணர்ந்திருக்கிறதைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டக்கடவன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; இவைகளின்மேல் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்." ( எரேமியா 9: 24) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

எனவே, கர்த்தரை அறிகின்ற அறிவு நமக்கு வேண்டுமென்று நாம் விரும்புவதும் அதனை அடைய முயல்வதுமே நாம் செய்யவேண்டியது. கர்த்தரை அறியும்போது உலகம் தரக்கூடாத மகிழ்ச்சி நம்மை நிரப்புகின்றது. எனவேதான் தாவீது, "அவர்களுக்குத் தானியமும் திராட்சைரசமும் பெருகியிருக்கிற காலத்தின் சந்தோஷத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும், அதிக சந்தோஷத்தை என் இருதயத்தில் தந்தீர்." ( சங்கீதம் 4 : 7) என்று மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறுகின்றார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, உலகத்தின் மேன்மை, பதவி, அழகு, செல்வாக்கு, அந்தஸ்து இவைகளால் கிடைக்காத மகிழ்ச்சி கர்த்தரை அறிகின்ற அறிவினால் கிடைக்கின்றது. எனவேதான் இன்றைய தியான  வசனம் "மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறவன் கர்த்தரைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டக்கடவன்." என்று கூறுகின்றது.   தேவனால் உத்தமன், சன்மார்க்கன் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட யோபு, இருதயத்துக்கு ஏற்றவன் என்று புகழப்பட்ட தாவீது, தேவனுடைய தாசன், என் வீட்டில் எங்கும் உண்மையுள்ளவன். ( எண்ணாகமம் 12: 7) என்று புகழ்ப்பெற்ற மோசே எனக் கர்த்தரால் புகழப்பட்ட பலர் வேதாகமத்தில் உண்டு. இப்படி கர்த்தரால் புகழப்படுவதே நாம் உத்தமர்கள் என்பதற்கு அடையாளம். 

அரசியல்வாதிகள் தங்களைத் தாங்களே புகழ்ந்து போஸ்டர்கள் அச்சிட்டு தங்கள் சுய மகிமையை வெளிப்படுத்துவதுபோல கர்த்தருக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்கள் செய்யவேண்டியதில்லை. நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வரும்போது அவருக்கு ஏற்றவர்களாக வாழும் நமக்கு அவர் புகழ் உண்டாகச் செய்வார். "ஆனதால், கர்த்தர் வருமளவும் நீங்கள் காலத்துக்குமுன்னே யாதொன்றைக்குறித்தும் தீர்ப்புச்சொல்லாதிருங்கள்; இருளில் மறைந்திருக்கிறவைகளை அவர் வெளியரங்கமாக்கி, இருதயங்களின் யோசனைகளையும் வெளிப்படுத்துவார்; அப்பொழுது அவனவனுக்குரிய புகழ்ச்சி தேவனால் உண்டாகும்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 4 : 5 )

எனவே உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களையோ மகிமையையோ, நமது பதவி, அந்தஸ்துகளையோ குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டாமல் நாம் கர்த்தரை அறிந்துள்ளோம் எனும் பெருமையே நமக்குப் போதும்.  நாம் கர்த்தரால் புகழப்படுவதே நமக்கு உத்தமம்.

Scripture Meditation– No: 1,407

AATHAVAN December 15, 2024, Sunday

"But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth." (2 Corinthians 10:17–18)

This meditation emphasizes that boasting or glorifying oneself is not acceptable before God. In this world, people often boast about their position, beauty, influence, and status. However, Apostle Paul categorically states that boasting in such worldly possessions and status does not make a person righteous. He declares, "He that commendeth himself is not approved."

The greatest value in life is to know and experience the Lord personally. Nothing in this world can match that privilege. I have heard testimonies from simple labourers and construction workers who have had profound experiences of God—experiences that even those with advanced theological degrees or deep biblical studies may not have encountered. This is the true glory.

Jeremiah echoes this sentiment: "But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord."
(Jeremiah 9:24)

Therefore, our desire and effort should be directed toward knowing God. The joy that comes from knowing Him fills us with a satisfaction that the world cannot provide. As David declares:" Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased." (Psalm 4:7)

Yes, beloved, the joy that comes from knowing God surpasses all worldly accomplishments, positions, beauty, influence, or status. This is why today's meditation reminds us, "He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."

The Bible is filled with examples of people commended by God for their righteousness and faithfulness. Job was called blameless by God. David was described as a man after God’s own heart. Moses was recognized as a faithful servant in all God’s house (Numbers 12:7). Being commended by God is the mark of true righteousness.

Unlike politicians who print posters to promote their self-glory, those who desire to please the Lord must live humbly. When Jesus Christ returns, He will glorify those who are found faithful to Him. As the scripture says: "Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God." (1 Corinthians 4:5)

Thus, let us not glory in worldly blessings, positions, or status. The privilege of knowing the Lord is sufficient for us. Being commended by God is our ultimate goal and reward.

'ஆதவன்' 💚டிசம்பர் 14, 2024. 💚சனிக்கிழமை

"மனுஷருள்ளத்திலிருப்பதை அவர் அறிந்திருந்தபடியால், மனுஷரைக் குறித்து ஒருவரும் அவருக்குச் சாட்சி கொடுக்கவேண்டியதாயிருக்கவில்லை." ( யோவான் 2: 25)

இந்த உலகத்தில் ஒருவரைக்குறித்து அறிய சாட்சிகள் தேவையாக இருக்கின்றன. எனவேதான் அரசாங்க வேலைகளில் சேருமுன்பு, அல்லது ஒரு நிதி நிறுவனத்தில் பணம் பெற அணுகும்போது அவர்கள் நம்மைக்குறித்து யாராவது சாட்சி கையொப்பம் அளிக்க வலியுறுத்துகின்றனர்.  வங்கியில் புதிதாக கணக்கு ஆரம்பிக்க வேண்டுமானால்கூட  ஏற்கனவே வங்கியில் கணக்கு வைத்துள்ள ஒருவர் சாட்சிக் கையொப்பம் அளிக்கவேண்டியுள்ளது. 

இதற்குக் காரணம் அவர்களுக்கு நம்மைக்குறித்து எதுவும் தெரியாது என்பதே. எனவே, நம்மைக்குறித்து தெரிந்தவர்கள் சாட்சியளிக்கவேண்டியுள்ளது. ஆனால் நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அனைத்தையும் அறிந்தவர். மனிதர்களது உள்ளத்து உணர்வுகள், நினைவுகள் அனைத்தும் அவருக்குத் தெரியும். இப்படி,  "மனுஷருள்ளத்திலிருப்பதை அவர் அறிந்திருந்தபடியால், மனுஷரைக் குறித்து ஒருவரும் அவருக்குச் சாட்சி கொடுக்கவேண்டியதாயிருக்கவில்லை."

எனவே நாம் அவருக்கேற்ற சாட்சியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழவேண்டியது அவசியமாயுள்ளது. பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்குமுன் நாம் நிற்கும்போது நம்மைக்குறித்த சாட்சியை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அளிக்கவேண்டியுள்ளது. அவர் நம்மைக்குறித்து, "இவன் / இவள் எனது அன்பு மகன் / மகள் என்று சாட்சி கூறவேண்டுமானால்  நாம் அதற்கேற்ற சாட்சியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். "மனுஷர் முன்பாக என்னை அறிக்கைபண்ணுகிறவன் எவனோ, அவனை நானும் பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் முன்பாக அறிக்கைபண்ணுவேன். மனுஷர் முன்பாக என்னை மறுதலிக்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவனை நானும் பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் முன்பாக மறுதலிப்பேன்". ( மத்தேயு 10: 32, 33) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறவில்லையா? 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் நமது வாழ்க்கையால் கிறிஸ்துவை மனிதர்களுக்குமுன் அறிக்கையிடுபவர்களாக வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்படி வாழும்போதுதான் அவர் நம்மைக்குறித்து பிதாவின்முன்பு சாட்சிகூறுவார். 

வெறுமனே ஆலய வழிபாடுகளிலும் ஜெபக்கூட்டங்களிலும் கலந்துகொள்வதாலோ, ஆலயங்களுக்கு அதிக காணிக்கைகள் அளிப்பதாலோ நாம் தேவனுக்கேற்றவர்கள் ஆக முடியாது.  உள்ளத்தை ஊடுருவி பார்க்கும் அவர்முன் நாம் எதனையும் மறைக்க முடியாது. சர்வ வல்லவரான அவர் எங்கேயும் இருக்கின்றார். எனவேதான் சங்கீத ஆசிரியர் கூறுகின்றார்:- "உம்முடைய ஆவிக்கு மறைவாக எங்கே போவேன்? உம்முடைய சமுகத்தைவிட்டு எங்கே ஓடுவேன்? நான் வானத்திற்கு ஏறினாலும், நீர் அங்கே இருக்கிறீர்; நான் பாதாளத்தில் படுக்கை போட்டாலும், நீர் அங்கேயும் இருக்கிறீர்." ( சங்கீதம் 139: 8)

எங்கும் நிறைந்திருப்பவரும் மனுஷருள்ளத்திலிருப்பதை அறிந்திருப்பவருமான அவருக்கு வேறு யாரும் சாட்சி கொடுக்க அவசியமில்லாததால் நாமே அவருக்குச்  சாட்சியுள்ளவர்களாக வாழ வேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது.

"Aathavan" 💚 December 14, 2024. 💚 Saturday

"And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man." (John 2:25, KJV)

In this world, testimony is often required to know about someone. For instance, before joining government service or when approaching a financial institution for a loan, they insist on someone giving a signed reference about us. Even to open a new bank account, one must obtain a signature of reference from an existing account holder.

The reason for this is simple: they do not know anything about us. Therefore, those who are familiar with us need to testify. However, our Lord Jesus Christ is omniscient. He knows the thoughts and intents of every human heart. That is why the Bible says, "And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man."

Thus, it is essential for us to live a life that bears testimony to Him. When we stand before God the Father, it is Christ who will testify about us. If we desire that Jesus should declare, "This is my beloved son/daughter," we must live a life worthy of such testimony. Jesus said, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 10:32-33, KJV).

Yes, beloved ones, it is imperative that we live a life that testifies of Christ before others. Only then will He bear witness about us before the Father.

Simply attending church services, participating in prayer meetings, or giving substantial offerings cannot make us acceptable to God. We cannot hide anything from the One who searches the heart. The Almighty God is present everywhere. That is why the psalmist declares:

"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there." (Psalm 139:7-8, KJV).

Since He is omnipresent and knows what is in the hearts of men, there is no need for anyone else to testify about us to Him. Therefore, it is crucial that we live as those who bear witness to Him through our lives.

Christian Verses for Meditation - Meditation - Psalm 42:11 / சங்கீதம் 42: 11

'ஆதவன்' 💚டிசம்பர் 13, 2024. 💚வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு; என் முகத்திற்கு இரட்சிப்பும் என் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நான் இன்னும் துதிப்பேன்." ( சங்கீதம் 42: 11)

துன்பங்கள் சோதனைகள் வரும்போது நாமே நமக்கு தைரியமான வார்த்தைகளைக் கூறிக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். நமது ஆத்துமாவுக்கு அது பெலனைத் தருகின்றது. தாவீது ராஜா இந்த அனுபவத்தில் இருந்ததால் பல்வேறு இக்கட்டான வேளைகளில் நம்பிக்கை இழக்காமல் இருந்தார். இப்படித் தனது ஆத்துமாவுக்குத் தானே ஆறுதல் கூறுவதை அவர் சங்கீதமாக எழுதிவைத்தார்.  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நமது ஆத்துமாவில் சோர்வு ஏற்படும்போது நாமும் தாவீதைப்போல நமக்குள் பேசவேண்டும். என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு; என் முகத்திற்கு இரட்சிப்பும் என் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நான் இன்னும் துதிப்பேன் என்று  கூறப் பழகவேண்டும். ஏனெனில்,  "சோர்ந்துபோகிறவனுக்கு அவர் பெலன் கொடுத்து, சத்துவமில்லாதவனுக்குச் சத்துவத்தைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுகிறார்." ( ஏசாயா 40: 29) என்று வேதம் கூறுகின்றது. 

தாவீது தனது ஆத்துமாவுக்குச் சொல்வதுபோல நமக்கு கலக்கங்கள் ஏற்படும்போது நாம் தேவனை நோக்கி அமர்ந்திருந்து காத்திருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். காரணம் அவர்மேல் நாம் கொள்ளும் விசுவாசம் நம்மை வெட்கப்படுத்திடச் செய்யாது. "நீங்களோ பிரியமானவர்களே, உங்கள் மகா பரிசுத்தமான விசுவாசத்தின்மேல் உங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு, பரிசுத்த ஆவிக்குள் ஜெபம்பண்ணி, தேவனுடைய அன்பிலே உங்களைக் காத்துக்கொண்டு, நித்தியஜீவனுக்கேதுவாக நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய இரக்கத்தைப்பெறக் காத்திருங்கள்." ( யூதா 1: 20, 21) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

தாவீதின் வாழ்க்கை போராட்டம் நிறைந்த வாழ்க்கையாக இருந்தாலும் அவர் தனது ஆத்துமாவோடு பேசித் தானே தன்னைத் தேவனுக்குள் திடப்படுத்திக்கொண்டார். எனவே மகிழ்ச்சியுடன்  "என் முகத்திற்கு இரட்சிப்பும் என் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நான் இன்னும் துதிப்பேன்". என்று கூறுகின்றார்,

இந்த உலகத்தில் நமக்கு பலர் ஆறுதல் சொல்ல இருந்தாலும் அவர்கள் எப்போதும் நம்மோடு இருப்பதில்லை. ஒரு சில மணி நேரங்கள் அல்லது ஒருசில நாட்கள் நம்மோடு இருந்து நமக்கு ஆறுதலான வார்த்தைகளைக் கூறலாம், உதவிகள் செய்யலாம். ஆனால் நமது ஆத்துமாவுக்கு நிரந்தரமாக ஆறுதல் தரக்கூடியவர் தேவன் ஒருவரே. எனவே இத்தகைய துன்பநேரங்களில் நாம் அவரை நோக்கிக் காத்திருந்து துதிக்கவேண்டியது  அவசியம். 

துன்பங்கள் பிரச்சனைகள் கலக்கங்கள் வரும்போது நாமும் நமது ஆத்துமாவுக்குக் கூறுவோம், "என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு" என்று. அவரே நமக்கு ஆறுதலும் தேறுதலும் தந்து உறுதிப்படுத்துவார்.

Scripture Meditation - No: 1,405    

AATHAVAN Date: December 13, 2024 | Friday

"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." (Psalm 42:11, KJV)

When trials and tribulations come, we must speak words of courage to ourselves. These words strengthen our souls. King David, having gone through such experiences, did not lose hope even during critical moments. He wrote this psalm as an encouragement to his own soul.

Yes, dear ones, when we feel weary in our souls, we too must speak to ourselves like David did. Let us learn to say, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

The Bible declares, "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength." (Isaiah 40:29, KJV).

Just as David spoke to his soul, we must also sit before God and wait on Him when faced with turmoil. Our faith in Him will never put us to shame. "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." (Jude 1:20-21, KJV).

Although David’s life was filled with battles, he fortified himself in God by speaking to his soul. Hence, he declared joyfully, "for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God."

In this world, though many may comfort us, they are not always by our side. They may spend a few hours or days offering soothing words or assistance. But the only one who can provide permanent comfort to our soul is God. Therefore, during times of distress, we must look to Him and praise Him.

When troubles, problems, and anxieties arise, let us also speak to our souls: “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God.” He will comfort, heal, and strengthen us.

Christian Verses for Meditation - James 2:19 / யாக்கோபு 2: 19

வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,404

'ஆதவன்' 💚டிசம்பர் 12, 2024. 💚வியாழக்கிழமை

"தேவன் ஒருவர் உண்டென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறாய், அப்படிச் செய்கிறது நல்லதுதான்; பிசாசுகளும் விசுவாசித்து, நடுங்குகின்றன." ( யாக்கோபு 2: 19)

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் நாம் விசுவாசம் கொண்டுள்ளோம். அப்படி விசுவாசிப்பதால்தான் நாம் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று நம்மைக் கூறிக்கொள்கின்றோம்.  ஆனால் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலராகிய யாக்கோபு அது போதாது என்று கூறுகின்றார். காரணம், பிசாசுகளும் தேவன் ஒருவர் உண்டென்று விசுவாசிக்கின்றன என்கிறார். எனவே,  நமது விசுவாசம் பிசாசுகளின் விசுவாசத்தைவிட மேலானதாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம் என்கின்றார் அவர். 

பிசாசுகள்  தேவன் ஒருவர் உண்டென்று விசுவாசித்தாலும் அவற்றின் செயல்பாடுகள் அவலட்சணமானவை. இயேசு யூதர்களிடம் பேசும்போது கூறினார், "நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிதாவாகிய பிசாசானவனால் உண்டானவர்கள்; உங்கள் பிதாவினுடைய இச்சைகளின்படி செய்ய மனதாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; அவன் ஆதிமுதற்கொண்டு மனுஷகொலைபாதகனாயிருக்கிறான்; சத்தியம் அவனிடத்திலில்லாதபடியால் அவன் சத்தியத்திலே நிலைநிற்கவில்லை; அவன் பொய்யனும் பொய்க்குப்பிதாவுமாயிருக்கிறபடியால் அவன் பொய்பேசும்போது தன் சொந்தத்தில் எடுத்துப் பேசுகிறான்." ( யோவான் 8: 44)

அதாவது பிசாசு மனுஷ கொலைபாதகன், பொய்யன் என்று கூறுகின்றார் இயேசு. ஆனால் இந்தப் பிசாசுகள் தேவன் ஒருவர் உண்டு என்பதை விசுவாசிக்கின்றன. இப்படி நாம் இருக்கக்கூடாது, கர்த்தர்மேல் நமக்குள்ள விசுவாசத்தை நாம் நமது செயல்களினால் உறுதிப்படுத்தவேண்டும் என்கின்றார். வெறுமனே நாம் தேவனை விசுவாசத்தால் மட்டும் போதாது நமது செயல்கள் அவரை நாம் விசுவாசிப்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்துபவனவாக இருக்கவேண்டும். பிசாசின் செயல்பாடுகளாக இருக்கக்கூடாது.  எனவே,  "வீணான மனுஷனே, கிரியைகளில்லாத விசுவாசம் செத்ததென்று நீ அறியவேண்டுடாமோ? நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய ஆபிரகாம் தன் குமாரன் ஈசாக்கைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் செலுத்தினபோது, கிரியைகளினாலே அல்லவோ நீதிமானாக்கப்பட்டான்?" ( யாக்கோபு 2: 20, 21) என்கின்றார். 

அதாவது ஆபிரகாம் தேவனை விசுவாசித்தார்  மட்டுமல்ல, தனது மகன் இறந்தாலும் அவனைத்  தான் விசுவாசிக்கும் தேவன் உயிரோடு எழுப்ப வல்லவர் என்று உறுதியாக நம்பினார்.  "ஈசாக்கினிடத்தில் உன் சந்ததி விளங்கும் என்று அவனோடே சொல்லப்பட்டிருந்ததே; இப்படிப்பட்ட வாகுத்தத்தங்களைப் பெற்றவன், மரித்தோரிலிருந்துமெழுப்ப தேவன் வல்லவராயிருக்கிறாரென்றெண்ணி, தனக்கு ஒரேபேறானவனையே பலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்; மரித்தோரிலிருந்து அவனை பாவனையாகத் திரும்பவும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டான்." ( எபிரெயர் 11 : 18, 19 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம், "விசுவாசம் அவனுடைய கிரியைகளோடேகூட முயற்சிசெய்து, கிரியைகளினாலே விசுவாசம் பூரணப்பட்டதென்று காண்கிறாயே." ( யாக்கோபு 2: 22) இது நமக்கு உதாரணமாக வேதம் கூறியுள்ள சம்பவம். நாமும் தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கின்றோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டால் போதாது, நமது வாழ்வின் இக்கட்டான நிலைகளிலும் நமது உறுதியான செயல்பாடுகளால் நமது விசுவாசத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்தவேண்டும். 

பிரச்சனைகள், துன்பங்கள், வியாதிகள் நம்மைத் தொடரும்போது தேவன்மேல் நாம் கொண்டுள்ள விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதியாக இருப்போம். வெறுமனே தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கிறேன் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு இருப்பதைவிட அந்த விசுவாசத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் செயல்களை செய்யும்போதுதான்  தேவன்மேல் நாம் கொண்டுள்ள நமது விசுவாசம் பிசாசுகளின் விசுவாசத்தைவிட மேலானதாக இருக்கும்.

Scripture Meditation - No: 1,404

AATHAVAN 💚 December 12, 2024 💚 Thursday

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19)

We believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, and this belief is what identifies us as Christians. However, in today’s scripture meditation, Apostle James reminds us that mere belief is insufficient. He notes that even the devils believe in God and tremble. Therefore, he urges that our faith must surpass the kind of belief held by devils.

The devils believe in God’s existence, but their actions are inherently wicked. Jesus Himself said to the Jews: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44)

Jesus describes the devil as a murderer and a liar. Yet, these devils still acknowledge the existence of God. James instructs us not to follow their example; instead, we must affirm our faith through our deeds. It is not enough to merely believe in God; our actions must demonstrate the authenticity of our faith.

James emphasizes: "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?" (James 2:20–21)

Abraham is a prime example of faith combined with works. He not only believed in God but was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac, fully trusting that God had the power to raise him from the dead. As the Scripture says: "Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure." (Hebrews 11:18–19)

James concludes: "Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?" (James 2:22)

This example serves as a powerful reminder. Merely professing faith in God is insufficient. We must confirm our faith through steadfast actions, especially in life’s challenging circumstances.

When we face trials, hardships, or illnesses, we should remain unwavering in our faith. It is not enough to simply say, "I believe in God." Instead, we must demonstrate our faith through actions that reflect our trust in Him. Only then will our faith rise above the faith of devils.

Bible Verses - எரேமியா 33: 3 / Jeremiah 33:3

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,403                                    'ஆதவன்' 💚டிசம்பர் 11, 2024. 💚புதன்கிழமை

"என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடு, அப்பொழுது நான் உனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுத்து, நீ அறியாததும் உனக்கு எட்டாததுமான பெரிய காரியங்களை உனக்கு அறிவிப்பேன்." ( எரேமியா 33: 3)

தேவனிடம் உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களையே எதிர்பார்ப்பவர்களும், உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களையே நற்செய்தியாகப் போதிப்பவர்களும் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்துக்கு உலக அர்த்தத்தையே கொடுப்பார்கள். அதாவது தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடும்போது நமக்குத் தெரியாததும் புரியாததுமான அளவில் நம்மை அவர் உயர்த்தி  ஆசீர்வதிப்பார் என்று கூறுவார்கள். 

ஆனால் உண்மையில் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் ஆவிக்குரிய அர்த்தம் கொண்டது. தேவனிடம் நாம் கேட்கும்போது அவர் மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவங்களை நமது வாழ்வில் தந்து நாம்  அறியாததும் நமக்கு எட்டாததுமான பெரிய ஆவிக்குரிய காரியங்களை நமக்கு அறிவிப்பார்.  ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை என்பது சிலர் எண்ணுவதுபோல அல்லேலூயா என்று கூறுவதும் ஜெபிப்பதும்  மட்டுமல்ல; மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவங்கள் உண்டு. அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், பேதுரு, யோவான்  போன்றோர் அனுபவித்ததுபோன்ற உன்னத அனுபவங்களையும், பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் எலியா, எலிசா போன்றோர் அனுபவித்த அனுபவங்களையும் நாம் அறிவோம். அத்தகைய அனுபவங்களை நாம் அனுபவிக்கும் ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.   

பத்மு தீவில் இருந்த அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவானுக்குத் தேவன் ஆவியினால் உன்னதமானதும்  நமக்கு எட்டாததுமான காரியங்களை அறிவித்தார். இதனை அவர், "கர்த்தருடைய நாளில் ஆவிக்குள்ளானேன்; அப்பொழுது எனக்குப் பின்னாலே எக்காளசத்தம்போன்ற பெரிதான ஒரு சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டேன்." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 1 : 10 ) என்று தொடர்ந்து எழுதுகின்றார். 

அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலுக்கும்  தேவன் இப்படி நாம் அறியாததும் நமக்கு எட்டாததுமான பெரிய காரியங்களைக்  வெளிப்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தார். அவர் கூறுகின்றார்:- "கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளான ஒரு மனுஷனை அறிவேன்; அவன் பதினாலு வருஷத்திற்கு முன்னே மூன்றாம் வானம்வரைக்கும் எடுக்கப்பட்டான்; அவன் சரீரத்திலிருந்தானோ, சரீரத்திற்குப் புறம்பேயிருந்தானோ, அதை அறியேன்; தேவன் அறிவார். அந்த மனுஷன் பரதீசுக்குள் எடுக்கப்பட்டு, மனுஷர் பேசப்படாததும் வாக்குக்கெட்டாததுமாகிய வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டானென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்." (2 கொரிந்தியர் 12: 2, 3)

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் தரும் அனுபவங்கள் நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் பெற்று அனுபவிக்கவேண்டிய ஒன்றாகும். ஆனால் முதலில் நாம் அதற்கான தாகம் உள்ளவர்களாக வாழ வேண்டியது அவசியம்.  "தாகமுள்ளவன்மேல் தண்ணீரையும், வறண்ட நிலத்தின்மேல் ஆறுகளையும் ஊற்றுவேன்; உன் சந்ததியின்மேல் என் ஆவியையும், உன் சந்தானத்தின்மேல் என் ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் ஊற்றுவேன்." ( ஏசாயா 44 : 3 ) என்கின்றார் கர்த்தர். 

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியை நாம் கேட்டுப் பெறவேண்டும் என்று கூறுகின்றார்.  "பொல்லாதவர்களாகிய நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு நல்ல ஈவுகளைக் கொடுக்க அறிந்திருக்கும்போது, பரமபிதாவானவர் தம்மிடத்தில் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஆவியைக் கொடுப்பது அதிக நிச்சயம் அல்லவா ?" ( லுூக்கா 11 : 13) என்று அவர் கூறுவதை நாம் பார்க்கலாம். "கேளுங்கள் தரப்படும்..." எனும் வசனத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து இயேசு இதனைக் கூறுகின்றார். ஆனால் கிறிஸ்தவர்களில் பலரும் இயேசு கூறிய வார்த்தைகளை கோர்வையாக வாசிக்காமல் வெறும்    உலக ஆசீர்வாதத்தைக் கேட்க இயேசு இதனைக் கூறுவதாக எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர்.    

மேலான பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள அவரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடும்போது அவர் நமக்குப் பதில்  கொடுத்து, நாம்  அறியாததும் நமக்கு எட்டாததுமான பெரிய காரியங்களை ஆவியானவர் மூலம் அறிவிப்பார். ஆவியானவரைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும் ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்களாக அதற்காக தேவனிடம் விண்ணப்பம் செய்வோம்.

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." (Jeremiah 33:3, KJV)

Those who seek only worldly blessings from God and those who preach the Gospel focusing solely on earthly benefits might interpret today's verse in a materialistic way. They might suggest that calling upon God will lead to worldly upliftment and blessings beyond imagination.

However, the truth is that today's meditation verse has a spiritual meaning. When we seek God in prayer, He grants us profound spiritual experiences, revealing great and mighty things that we cannot comprehend or achieve on our own. Spiritual life is not merely about saying "Hallelujah" or praying; it involves experiencing deeper, divine encounters.

The apostles like Paul, Peter, and John, and prophets like Elijah and Elisha in the Old Testament, had extraordinary spiritual experiences. We, too, should desire such experiences in our lives.

For instance, while on the island of Patmos, the Apostle John was shown great and mighty revelations through the Spirit. He wrote: "I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet."
(Revelation 1:10, KJV)

Similarly, the Apostle Paul was also granted revelations of extraordinary, indescribable things by God. He shared his experience, saying: "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) how that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." (2 Corinthians 12:2-4, KJV)

Yes, beloved, the experiences granted by the Holy Spirit are something we must long for and receive. However, we must first live with a deep thirst for them. As the Lord says: "For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring."
(Isaiah 44:3, KJV)

Our Lord Jesus Christ also taught us to ask for the Holy Spirit. He said: "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"
(Luke 11:13, KJV)

Following the promise, "Ask, and it shall be given you," Jesus emphasized the importance of seeking the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, many Christians interpret this solely as a call to ask for worldly blessings.

When we call upon God with a desire to receive the Holy Spirit, He will answer us, revealing great and mighty spiritual things that we cannot comprehend on our own. Let us cultivate a thirst for the Holy Spirit and earnestly seek Him in prayer.

Bible Verses - மத்தேயு 4: 9 / Matthew 4:9

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,402                           'ஆதவன்' டிசம்பர் 10, 2024. 💚செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"நீர் சாஷ்டாங்கமாய் விழுந்து, என்னைப் பணிந்துகொண்டால், இவைகளையெல்லாம் உமக்குத் தருவேன் என்று சொன்னான்" ( மத்தேயு 4: 9)

இந்த உலகம் தேவனால் படைக்கப்பட்டது என்றாலும் அது அலகை அல்லது சாத்தானின் கைவசமும் அதன் அதிகாரத்தின்கீழும் உள்ளது. வேதாகமத்தில் சாத்தானுக்கு  "பொல்லாங்கன்" (மத்தேயு 13:19, எபேசியர் 6:16 மற்றும் 1 யோவான் 5:18, 1 யோவான் 5:19) என்றும் "உலகத்தின் அதிபதி" என்றும் (யோவான் 12:31, யோவான் 14:30, யோவான் 16:11 மற்றும் ) பெயர்கள்  குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

உலகம் சாத்தானின் கையில் இருப்பதை, "நாம் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறோமென்றும், உலகமுழுவதும் பொல்லாங்கனுக்குள் கிடக்கிறதென்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்." (1 யோவான்  5 : 19) என்றும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. உலகம் அவனது கையில் இருப்பதால் அவன் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் வந்து, "நீர் சாஷ்டாங்கமாய் விழுந்து, என்னைப் பணிந்துகொண்டால், இவைகளையெல்லாம் உமக்குத் தருவேன் என்று சொன்னான்"

சாத்தான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் நேரடியாகக் கூறிய வார்த்தைகளை இன்றும் அவன் விசுவாசிகள் ஒவ்வொருவரிடமும் பலவழிகளில் கூறிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றான்.   உனக்குப் பதவி வேண்டுமா? அரசியல் செல்வாக்கு வேண்டுமா?, அதிக அளவு பணமும் சொத்து சுகங்களும் வேண்டுமா? என்னைப் பணிந்துகொள் என்கின்றான்.  சாத்தானைப் பணிந்துகொள்வது என்பது சாத்தான் விரும்பும் தவறான வழிகளில் இவைகளை அடைய முயல்வதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. விசுவாசிகள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பலரும் சாத்தானின் தந்திரத்துக்குப் பலியாகிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

பலரும் கிறிஸ்தவ ஆலய ஆராதனைகளில் பங்கெடுக்கின்றனர், ஜெபக் கூட்டங்களில் பங்கெடுத்து ஆலயங்களுக்கு அதிக பொருளுதவிகள் செய்கின்றனர். ஆனால் உலக வாழ்க்கையிலோ சாத்தானுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். இப்படிக்  குறுக்கு வழிகளில் அதிகம் சம்பாதித்துவிட்டு "கர்த்தர் என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்துள்ளார்" என்கின்றனர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்து காட்டிய வழிகளைவிட்டு நாம் பணத்துக்காகவும், பதவிக்காகவும்,  புகழுக்காகவும், சொத்துசுகங்கள் சேர்ப்பதற்காகவும் தவறான காரியங்களில் ஈடுபடும்போது நாம் சாத்தானை வழிபடுகின்றவர்கள் ஆகின்றோம். இப்படிச் சாத்தானை வழிபடும்போது "என்னைப் பணிந்துகொண்டால், இவைகளையெல்லாம் உமக்குத் தருவேன்" என்று அவன் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் கூறியதுபோல அவனை வழிபடும் அனைவருக்கும் கொடுக்கின்றான். 

குறுக்கு வழி, தவறான வழி என்று தெரியும்போது யார் நம்மைத் தூண்டினாலும் நாமும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியதுபோல, "அப்பாலே போ சாத்தானே; உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவர் ஒருவருக்கே ஆராதனை செய்வாயாக என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே." ( மத்தேயு 4: 10) என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு விலகிவிடுவோமானால் தேவன் நம்மை வேறு விதங்களில் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். "கர்த்தரின் ஆசீர்வாதமே ஐசுவரியத்தைத் தரும்; அதனோடே அவர் வேதனையைக் கூட்டார்." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 10 : 22 )

வேதனை இல்லாத ஆசீர்வாதம் பெற்று அனுபவிக்க கர்த்தரை மட்டுமே ஆராதிப்பவர்களாக வாழ்வோம்.

Scripture Meditation - No: 1,402                                                                              AATHAVAN💚 December 10, 2024 💚 Tuesday

"All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me." (Matthew 4:9)

Even though this world was created by God, it is currently under the sway of Satan, who is referred to in the Bible as "the wicked one" (Matthew 13:19; Ephesians 6:16; 1 John 5:18–19) and "the prince of this world" (John 12:31; John 14:30; John 16:11).

The world being under Satan's influence is further highlighted in the verse: "And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness." (1 John 5:19)

Since the world is in his grasp, Satan approached Jesus Christ and said: "All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."

The same words Satan directly spoke to Jesus, he still whispers today in various ways to believers: "Do you want power? Political influence? Great wealth and material comforts? Worship me." Worshiping Satan means seeking these things through unrighteous ways that align with his desires. Sadly, many who claim to be believers fall prey to Satan's deception.

Many participate in church services, prayer meetings, and generously support church activities, yet in their worldly lives, they serve Satan. Some amass wealth through dishonest means and claim, "The Lord has blessed me."

Beloved, when we stray from the path shown by Christ and engage in sinful acts for the sake of money, power, fame, or material possessions, we are essentially worshiping Satan. Just as Satan promised Jesus, "All these things will I give thee," he offers similar rewards to those who worship him.

However, when we recognize a path as crooked or sinful, let us respond as Jesus did: "Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." (Matthew 4:10)

By rejecting Satan’s temptations, God will bless us in ways far beyond what we could achieve through unrighteous means. As the Bible reminds us: "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it." (Proverbs 10:22)

Let us live as people who worship God alone, so that we may receive and enjoy His blessings without sorrow.
