பிசாசுக்கு எதிர்த்து நில்லுங்கள் / RESIST THE DEVIL

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,065              டிசம்பர் 28, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை 

"ஆகையால், தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்; பிசாசுக்கு எதிர்த்து நில்லுங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவன் உங்களைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போவான்." ( யாக்கோபு 4 : 7 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் பிசாசுகளைப் பற்றிய பயம் மனிதர்களுக்கு ஆதிகாலமுதல் இருந்து வருகின்றது. பலரும் பிசாசு கருப்பாக அருவெறுப்பானத் தோற்றத்தில் இருப்பான் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்வதுடன் இரவில்தான் அவன் வருவான் என்றும் எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர்.   அதுபோல பிசாசுக்கள் நம்மைப் பயமுறுத்துபவை என்றும் மனிதர்கள் எண்ணுகின்றனர். இவை இரண்டுமே வேத அடிப்படையில்லாதவை.

பிசாசு பூரண அழகுள்ளவன் என்று வேதம் கூறுகின்றது.  தேவனோடு பரலோகத்தில் இருந்தவைதான் பிசாசுகள். "நீ விசித்திரமாய்ச் செய்யப்பட்ட முத்திரை மோதிரம்; நீ ஞானத்தால் நிறைந்தவன்; பூரண அழகுள்ளவன். நீ தேவனுடைய தோட்டமாகிய ஏதேனில் இருந்தவன்; பத்மராகம், புஷ்பராகம், வைரம், படிகப்பச்சை, கோமேதகம், யஸ்பி, இந்திரநீலம், மரகதம், மாணிக்கம் முதலான சகலவித இரத்தினங்களும் பொன்னும் உன்னை மூடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது......." ( எசேக்கியேல் 28 : 12, 13 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

தங்களது கீழ்படியாமையால் நரகத்துக்குத் தள்ளப்பட்டவை அவை.  மேலும் நம்மைப் பயமுறுத்துவது அவைகளின் நோக்கமல்ல, மாறாக அவை இழந்துபோன பரலோக இன்பத்தை மனிதர்கள் பெற்றுவிடக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக மனிதர்களது ஆத்துமாவை பாவத்துக்குநேராக கொண்டுசெல்பவை. எனவே அவை நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வைக் கெடுக்க நம்மோடு போராடுகின்றன. 

இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "ஏனெனில், மாம்சத்தோடும் இரதத்தோடுமல்ல, துரைத்தனங்களோடும், அதிகாரங்களோடும், இப்பிரபஞ்சத்தின் அந்தகார லோகாதிபதிகளோடும், வானமண்டலங்களிலுள்ள பொல்லாத ஆவிகளின் சேனைகளோடும் நமக்குப் போராட்டம் உண்டு." ( எபேசியர் 6 : 12 ) என்று எழுதுகின்றார்.

இந்தப் பிசாசுகளை எதிர்த்துநிற்க சிலர் செய்வதுபோல தாயத்துகளையும் மணிக்கட்டில் பல்வேறு மந்திரித்தக் கயிறுகளையும் கட்டுவது கிறிஸ்தவ போதனையல்ல. இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுவதுபோல, தேவனுக்குப் பயந்த கீழ்ப்படியும் குணம் நமக்கு வேண்டும். எனவேதான் தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்; பிசாசுக்கு எதிர்த்து நில்லுங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவன் உங்களைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போவான். என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மேலும், ஒரு எதிரியை நாம் எதிர்த்துச் சமாளிக்க வேண்டுமானால் நம்மிடம் அதற்கான ஆயுதங்கள் இருக்கவேண்டும். அப்போதுதான் அவன் நம்மைக் கண்டு பயந்து ஓடுவான். அந்த ஆயுதங்கள் என்ன என்பதை அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "சத்தியம் என்னும் கச்சையை உங்கள் அரையில் கட்டினவர்களாயும், நீதியென்னும் மார்க்கவசத்தைத் தரித்தவர்களாயும்; சமாதானத்தின் சுவிசேஷத்திற்குரிய ஆயத்தம் என்னும் பாதரட்சையைக் கால்களிலே தொடுத்தவர்களாயும்; பொல்லாங்கன் எய்யும் அக்கினியாஸ்திரங்களையெல்லாம் அவித்துப்போடத்தக்கதாய், எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக விசுவாசமென்னும் கேடகத்தைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டவர்களாயும் நில்லுங்கள். இரட்சணியமென்னும், தலைச்சீராவையும். தேவவசனமாகிய ஆவியின் பட்டயத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்." ( எபேசியர் 6 : 14 - 17 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மைப் பயமுறுத்துவதோ, இருளில் நம்மைத் துரட்டுவதோ பிசாசு எனும் சாத்தானின் நோக்கமல்ல; மாறாக நமது ஆத்துமாவை அழிப்பதே அவனது நோக்கம். எனவே, தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்படிதலுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்து, அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கூறும் ஆயுதங்களைத் தரித்துக்கொள்வதே நாம் செய்யவேண்டியது. அப்படியிருந்து நாம்  பிசாசுக்கு எதிர்த்து நிற்கும்போது அவன் நம்மைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போவான்.

               RESIST THE DEVIL

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4: 7)

The fear of devils in this world has been with humans since the beginning of time. Many believe that the devil is black and hideous in appearance and that he comes only at night. Similarly, humans also think that devils scare us. Both of these are unscriptural.

The Bible says that the devil is perfectly beautiful. Devils are those who were in heaven with God. "Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created." ( Ezekiel 28 : 12,13 )

They were cast into hell for their disobedience. And their purpose is not to frighten us, but rather to lead men's souls to sin so that they may not receive the heavenly pleasures which they have lost. So, they fight with us to spoil our spiritual life.

This is what the apostle Paul said, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6: 12)

It is not Christian teaching to tie amulets and various enchanted cords on the wrist to resist these demons, as some do. As today's verse says, we need God-fearing obedience. Therefore, obey God; Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Also, if we are to fight an enemy, we must have the appropriate weapons. Only then will he run away in fear of us. What are those weapons, the apostle Paul said, "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6: 14 - 17)

Yes, beloved, it is not Satan's purpose to frighten us or chase us in the dark; Instead his purpose is to destroy our souls. Therefore, what we have to do is live a life of obedience to God and put on the armor that the Apostle Paul says. So, when we resist the devil, he will flee from us.

வசனமே நியாயந்தீர்க்கும் / THE WORDS SHALL JUDGE

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,064               டிசம்பர் 27, 2023 புதன்கிழமை 

"என்னைத் தள்ளி என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறதொன்றிருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்." ( யோவான் 12 : 48 )

கிறிஸ்துவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாததும் அவரவர் தனிப்பட்ட விருப்பம். ஆனால், கிறிஸ்துவை எல்லோருக்கும் அறிவிக்கவேண்டியது கிறிஸ்தவர்களின் கடமை. ஏனெனில் இதனை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தான் பரலோகம் செல்லுமுன் ஒரு கட்டளையாகக் கூறினார். "பின்பு, அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உலகமெங்கும் போய், சர்வ சிருஷ்டிக்கும் சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பிரசங்கியுங்கள். விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாகி ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றவன் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்; விசுவாசியாதவனோ ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படுவான்." ( மாற்கு 16 : 15, 16 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

பிரசங்கிக்கவேண்டியது மட்டுமே நமது கடமை. அதனைத்தான் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் செய்கின்றனரே  தவிர மதம் மாற்றுவதில்லை. ஊழியம் செய்கின்றேன் என்று கூறி வேத அறிவோ அனுபவமோ இல்லாத சில ஊழியர்கள்தான் இதில் தவறு செய்கின்றனர். ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவின் வார்த்தைகளை விதைக்கவேண்டுமேத்தவிர வலுக்கட்டாயமாக எவரையும் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் கொண்டுவரமுடியாது. நாம் கூறுவதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாததும் அவரவர் விருப்பம்.

"என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிற தொன்றிருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்" என்பது கிறிஸ்துவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டுள்ளோம் எனக் கூறிக்கொண்டு வசனத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாத வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டு தங்களைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்  எனக் கூறிக்கொள்ளும் கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கும் பொருந்தும். நமது வாழ்க்கை கிறிஸ்துவின் வசனத்தின்படி உள்ளதா? என்பதனையும் நாம் ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்கக் கடமைப்பட்டுள்ளோம். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறுவது இதுதான்.  அதாவது எனது வார்த்தைகளை நீங்கள் விதையுங்கள். அதனை ஏற்றுகொள்ளாதவனை நான் கூறிய வசனமே நியாயம் தீர்க்கும். காரணம்,  தேவனது வார்த்தைகள் உயிரும் வல்லமையும் உள்ளது. அது மனிதனது  உள்ளத்தில் ஊடுருவி அவனது ஆத்துமா, சிந்தனை, செயல், அவனது உடல் அனைத்தையும் ஊடுருவி குத்தக்கூடியது. எனவே கிறிஸ்துவின் வசனத்தைப் புறக்கணிக்கின்றவன் துணிந்து தனது மனச்சாட்சிக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுபவனாக இருக்கிறான். இதனை நாம் எபிரெயர் நிருபத்தில் பின்வருமாறு வாசிக்கின்றோம்:- 

"தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையானது ஜீவனும் வல்லமையும் உள்ளதாயும், இருபுறமும் கருக்குள்ள எந்தப் பட்டயத்திலும் கருக்கானதாயும், ஆத்துமாவையும், ஆவியையும், கணுக்களையும் ஊனையும் பிரிக்கத்தக்கதாக உருவக் குத்துகிறதாயும், இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகளையும் யோசனைகளையும் வகையறுக்கிறதாயும் இருக்கிறது." ( எபிரெயர் 4 : 12 )

ஒருவன் எந்த மார்க்கத்தானாய் இருந்தாலும் மனச்சாட்சி ஒன்றுதான். அதாவது அதுவே அனைவரையும் ஒரே தேவன் உண்டாக்கினார் என்பதற்கு அடையாளம். எனவே எந்த மனிதனும் இறுதி  நியாயத் தீர்ப்பில் தப்பிட  முடியாது.

இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "அவர்களுடைய மனச்சாட்சியும்கூடச் சாட்சியிடுகிறதினாலும், குற்றமுண்டு குற்றமில்லையென்று அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகள் ஒன்றையொன்று தீர்க்கிறதினாலும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கேற்ற கிரியை தங்கள் இருதயங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதென்று காண்பிக்கிறார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 2 : 15 ) ஆம், ஆண்டவரது சட்டங்கள் எல்லா மனிதர்கள் உள்ளத்திலும் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

ஆண்டவரது வசனம் நீதியானது, மதங்களுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டது. அதனால்தான், என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறதொன்றிருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும் என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. என்னை ஏன் வணக்கவில்லை என்று அவர் கேட்கமாட்டார், மாறாக அவரது வசனத்தின்படி வாழ்ந்தோமா என்பதே நியாயத் தீர்ப்பின் அடிப்படை. இதனாலேயே அனைவருக்கும் சுவிசேஷம் அறிவிக்கின்றோம்.

கிறிஸ்துவைத் தள்ளி அவரது வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசியாமல் போகும்போது நாம் நீதியாக வாழ முடியாது. அவரது வசனமே நம்மைச் சரியான பாதையில் நடத்த வல்லமையுள்ளது.

          THE WORDS SHALL JUDGE

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken the same shall judge him in the last day." (John 12:48)

It is their personal choice to accept Christ or not. But it is the duty of Christians to proclaim Christ to everyone. Because Jesus Christ himself said this as a commandment before going to heaven. "Then he said to them: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; and he that believeth not shall be demned." (Mark 16: 15, 16) we read.

Our only duty is to preach. That's what Christians do, they don't proselytize. Some Christian workers who claim to be doing ministry and have no knowledge or experience in the scriptures make a mistake in this. We cannot bring anyone to Christ by force unless we sow the words of the Lord Jesus. It is their choice “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken the same shall judge him in the last day” also applies to Christians who claim to have accepted Christ and live a life contrary to God’s words and call themselves Christians. Are our lives according to the Word of Christ? We are also obliged to investigate.

This is what Jesus Christ says in today's meditation verse. That means you sow my words. Whoever does not accept it will be judged by my verse. Because God's words have life and power. It penetrates the soul of man and pierces his soul, his thought, his action, his body. Therefore, he who ignores the word of Christ dares to act against his conscience. We read this in the Epistle to the Hebrews: -

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” ( Hebrews 4 : 12 )

No matter what religion one belongs to, the conscience is the same. That is the sign that all are made by the same God. Therefore, no man can escape the final judgment.

This is what the apostle Paul says, “Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;” ( Romans 2 : 15 ) Yes, the laws of the Lord are written in the hearts of all men.

The Word of God is righteous and transcends religions. Therefore, Jesus Christ says that the word I said will judge him on the last day. He will not ask, “why you have not worshipped me?” but the basis of judgment is whether we have lived according to His Word. This is why we preach the gospel to everyone.

We cannot live righteously when we reject Christ and do not believe His words. His verse alone has the power to guide us on the right path.

சிமிர்னா சபை / CHURCH OF SMYRNA

'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,063              டிசம்பர் 26, 2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை 

"நீ படப்போகிற பாடுகளைக்குறித்து எவ்வளவும் பயப்படாதே; இதோ, நீங்கள் சோதிக்கப்படும்பொருட்டாகப் பிசாசானவன் உங்களில் சிலரைக் காவலில் போடுவான்; பத்துநாள் உபத்திரவப்படுவீர்கள். ஆகிலும் நீ மரணபரியந்தம் உண்மையாயிரு, அப்பொழுது ஜீவகிரீடத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன்." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 2 : 10 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் நாம் பல்வேறு கிறிஸ்தவ சபைப் பிரிவைச் சார்ந்தவர்களாக இருப்பதுபோல ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்விலும் நமது நடத்தைகளுக்கேற்ப  நாம் பல்வேறு தரங்களில் இருக்கின்றோம்.  இன்றைய தியான வசனம்  சிமிர்னா சபைக்குக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. யாரெல்லாம் இந்தச் சிமிர்னா சபைக்குரியவர்கள் என்பதை ஆவியானவர் இங்குக் கூறுகின்றார். 

இற்றைய தியானம், கிறிஸ்தவ பாரம்பரிய சபைகளிலிருந்து ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழ விரும்புபவர்களுக்கு எதிராக சிலர் கூறும் அவதூறுக்கு பதில் தருகின்றது. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, பிறர் நம்மைக் குற்றம் சாட்டுவதைக்குறித்து கவலைப்படாமல்  நமது ஆவிக்குரிய நம்பிக்கையில் விசுவாசத்தோடு வாழவேண்டும் என்று இன்றைய வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. 

யாரெல்லாம் சிமிர்னா சபை மக்கள் என்பது இன்றைய வசனத்தின் முந்தின வசனத்தைப் பார்த்தால் புரியும். "உன் கிரியைகளையும், உன் உபத்திரவத்தையும், நீ ஐசுவரியமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தும் உனக்கிருக்கிற தரித்திரத்தையும், தங்களை யூதரென்று சொல்லியும் யூதராயிராமல் சாத்தானுடைய கூட்டமாயிருக்கிறவர்கள் செய்யும் தூஷணத்தையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 2 : 9 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அதாவது, "உனது செயல்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன். ஆவிக்குரியவர்கள் என்று தங்களைக் கூறிக்கொள்ளும் மக்கள் உன்னை விமரிசிப்பதால் உன்னை நீ ஏழை என்று  எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றாய் ஆனால் உண்மையில் நீ செல்வந்தன். நாங்கள்தான் உண்மையான யூதர்கள், நீ அப்படியல்ல (அதாவது நாங்கள்தான் மெய்யான ஆவிக்குரிய மக்கள் நீ அப்படியல்ல) என்று உன்னைப் பழித்துப் பேசும் மக்களை நான் அறிவேன். கவலைப்படாதே, அப்படி உன்னைப் பழித்துக் கூறுபவர்கள்தான்  சாத்தானின் கூட்டத்தார்"  என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர்.

மேற்கூறிய அனுபவத்தால் துன்பப்படுகின்றவர்கள்தான் இந்தச் சிமிர்னா சபைக்குரியவர்கள்.   அதாவது அவர்கள் உண்மையான ஆவிக்குரிய மக்கள். ஆனால் பிறரால் தூஷிக்கப்படுகின்றவர்கள். எனவே, உன் துன்பங்களைக்குறித்து நீ படுகின்ற பாடுகளைக்குறித்து எவ்வளவும் பயப்படாதே; இது பிசாசு கொஞ்சகாலம் உங்களை சோதிக்கும் சோதனைதான். பத்துநாள் உபத்திரவப்படுவீர்கள் (அதாவது சிலநாட்கள் உபாத்திரவப்படுவீர்கள்). ஆகிலும் நீ மரணபரியந்தம் உன் நம்பிக்கையில் உண்மையாயிரு, அப்பொழுது ஜீவகிரீடத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன்.என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, உங்களது  ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையைக் குறித்து, உங்களைக் குற்றம் சாட்டுபவர்களைக் குறித்து கவலைப்படவேண்டாம். இத்தகைய ஆவிக்குரிய துன்பத்தை அனுபவிக்கின்றவர்களாக நீங்கள் இருந்தால் அதனைப் பொறுமையாகச் சகித்துக்கொண்டு நீங்கள் கொண்ட நம்பிக்கையில் உறுதியோடு வாழவேண்டும் என்கின்றார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.  

இன்றைய வசனத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது, "ஆவியானவர் சபைகளுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறதைக் காதுள்ளவன் கேட்கக்கடவன்; ஜெயங்கொள்ளுகிறவன் இரண்டாம் மரணத்தினால் சேதப்படுவதில்லை என்றெழுது." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 2 : 11 ) ஆம், இப்படி ஆவிக்குரிய துன்பத்தைச் சகித்து உண்மையாய் வாழும்போது இரண்டாம் மரணம் எனும் நரக அக்கினி உங்களைச் சேதப்படுத்துவதில்லை. 

"பத்துநாள் உபத்திரவப்படுவீர்கள். ஆகிலும் நீ மரணபரியந்தம் உண்மையாயிரு, அப்பொழுது ஜீவகிரீடத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன்." என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அதாவது, இந்தத் துன்பங்கள் சில நாட்கள்தான். இதனைச் சகித்து வாழும்போது வெற்றிவாகை உங்களுக்கு உரிமையாகும். நமது ஆவிக்குரிய நம்பிக்கையில் தொடர்வோம்.

"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." (Revelation 2: 10)

Just as in this world we belong to different denominations of the Christian Church, we are also in different ranks according to our conduct in the spiritual life. Today's meditation verse is addressed to the congregation of Smyrna. Here the Spirit tells us who belong to this church of Smyrna.

This meditation responds to the slander some say against those who want to live a spiritual life from traditional Christian churches. Yes beloved, today's verse instructs us to live faithfully in our spiritual faith without worrying about what others accuse us of.

Who are the people of Smyrna can be understood by looking at the previous verse of today's verse. "I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." (Revelation 2: 9)

That is, "I know your works. You think you are poor because the people who call themselves spiritual are criticizing you, but in reality you are rich. I know people who speak against you saying that we are true Jews and you are not (we are true spiritual people and you are not). Don't worry, it is Satan's people are those who accuse you," says the Lord.

Those who suffer from the above experience belong to this Smyrna church. That means they are true spiritual people. But those who are slandered by others. Therefore, do not be afraid of the sufferings you suffer. This is a test that the devil will tempt you for a while. You will be afflicted for ten days (i.e. you will be afflicted for some days). But be true to your faith even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life, says the Lord.

Beloved, do not worry about your spiritual life and your accusers. If you are experiencing such spiritual suffering, the Lord Jesus Christ says that you should endure it patiently and live firmly in your faith.

Today's verse continues, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." (Revelation 2: 11) Yes, when you endure spiritual suffering and live faithfully, the fire of hell called the second death will not damage you.

"Ten days thou shalt be afflicted. But thou shalt be faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Says the Lord Jesus Christ. I mean, these sufferings are only for a few days. As long as you live with it, victory is your right. Let us continue in our spiritual faith.

உன்னதத்திலிருக்கிற தேவனுக்கு மகிமை / GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,062              டிசம்பர் 25, 2023 திங்கள்கிழமை 

"உன்னதத்திலிருக்கிற தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும், பூமியிலே சமாதானமும், மனுஷர்மேல் பிரியமும் உண்டாவதாக." ( லுூக்கா 2 : 14 )

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உலகினில் மனிதனாகப் பிறந்ததை முதன்முதலில் அறிந்தவர்கள் மேய்ப்பர்கள்தான். விண்ணுலகின் தேவதூதன் அவர்களுக்குத் தோன்றி இயேசுவின் பிறப்பை அறிவித்தான். அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து  திரளான தூதர்கள் தோன்றி, "உன்னதத்திலிருக்கிற தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும், பூமியிலே சமாதானமும், மனுஷர்மேல் பிரியமும் உண்டாவதாக என்று சொல்லி, தேவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்." 

தூதர்களது செய்தியால் பயந்த மேய்ப்பர்களுக்குத் தூதன், "பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; இதோ, எல்லா ஜனத்துக்கும் மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்தை உண்டாக்கும் நற்செய்தியை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறேன் இன்று கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து என்னும் இரட்சகர் உங்களுக்குத் தாவீதின் ஊரிலே பிறந்திருக்கிறார்." ( லுூக்கா 2 : 10, 11 ) என்று அறிவித்தான். 

இப்படி, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் பிறப்பு விண்ணகம் மண்ணகம் இரண்டையுமே மகிழ்ச்சியுறச் செய்தது. விண்ணகம் ஏன் மகிழ்ந்தது? காரணம் மனிதனாகப் பிறந்த இயேசு ஆதியில் தேவனோடு வார்த்தையாக விண்ணகத்திலிருந்தவர். "ஆதியிலே வார்த்தை இருந்தது, அந்த வார்த்தை தேவனிடத்திலிருந்தது, அந்த வார்த்தை தேவனாயிருந்தது." ( யோவான் 1 : 1 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். அந்த வார்த்தை தேவ சித்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றிட பூமியில் மனிதனாகப் பிறந்தது. எனவே விண்ணகத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியுண்டானது. 

மண்ணகத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி உண்டாகக்  காரணத்தைத் தேவ தூதனே, "பூமியிலே சமாதானமும், மனுஷர்மேல் பிரியமும் உண்டாவதாக" என்று கூறினான். அதாவது கிறிஸ்துவின் பிறப்பு பூமியில் சமாதானத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்தது.   பாவத்தால் அமைதியிழந்து மனச்சமாதானமில்லாமல் அலையும் மக்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் உண்டானது. இரண்டாவது மனிதர்கள்மேல் பிரியம், அதாவது அன்பு உண்டானது. அளவிடமுடியாத அவரது அன்புதான் (கிருபை) நமக்குப் பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுதலை தருகின்றது.  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, ஆதியில் வார்த்தையாக தேவனோடிருந்த கிறிஸ்து நம்மைப்போல இரத்தமும் சதையுமுள்ள மனிதனானார். "அந்த வார்த்தை மாம்சமாகி, கிருபையினாலும் சத்தியத்தினாலும் நிறைந்தவராய், நமக்குள்ளே வாசம் பண்ணினார்; அவருடைய மகிமையைக் கண்டோம்; அது பிதாவுக்கு ஒரேபேறானவருடைய மகிமைக்கு ஏற்ற மகிமையாகவே இருந்தது." ( யோவான் 1 : 14 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இந்த பூமியில் பிறக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தையும் ஒரு நோக்கத்தோடேயே பிறக்கின்றது. அதுபோல கிறிஸ்துவும் ஒரு நோக்கத்தோடுதான் பிறந்தார். அந்த நோக்கம் வித்தியாசமான நோக்கம். ஆம், அவர் சாகவேண்டும் எனும் நோக்கத்தோடேயே உலகினில் பிறந்தார். அவரது இறுதி இலக்கே பிதாவின் சித்தப்படி உலக மீட்புக்காகத் தனது உயிரைக் கொடுப்பதுதான். இப்படித் துணிந்து அவர் உயிரைத் தியாகம் செய்ய முன்வந்ததால் உன்னதத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி உண்டானது. 

எனவே அவரது மீட்புக் திட்டத்தில் நாமும் இணைந்து நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படும்போது உன்னத மகிழ்ச்சி அதிகரிக்கும். ஆம், பாவிகள் மனம்திரும்பும்போது விண்ணகம் மகிழும் என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவே கூறியுள்ளார். மட்டுமல்ல, பூமியிலே சமாதானமும், மனுஷர்மேல் பிரியமும் உண்டாகும். தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும் பூமியில் சமாதானமும் உண்டாக நம்மை அவருக்குக் கையளிப்போம். கிறிஸ்துப் பிறப்பு விழாவை அர்த்தமுள்ளதாக்குவோம்.

     GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST 

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,062                                  Monday, December 25, 2023

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." (Luke 2: 14)

Shepherds were the first to know that Jesus Christ was born as a human being. An angel from heaven appeared to them and announced the birth of Jesus. Then many angels appeared and praised God, saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, and good will to men."

The angel said to the shepherds who were frightened by the news of the angels, "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2: 10,11)

Thus, the birth of Jesus Christ made both heaven and earth happy. Why was the heaven happy? The reason is that Jesus, who was born as a man, was in heaven as a word of God in the beginning. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1: 1) we read. That Word was born as a man on earth to fulfill God's will. So happy in heaven.

God's messenger said that the reason for happiness on earth is, "There will be peace on earth and love among men." That means the birth of Christ brought peace on earth. Peace came to the people who wandered restlessly because of sin. The second is love for humans. It is His immeasurable love (grace) that frees us from sin.

Yes, beloved, Christ, who was in the beginning with God as the Word, became a man of flesh and blood like us. "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1: 14) we read.

Every child born on this earth is born with a purpose. Likewise, Christ was born with a purpose. That purpose is a different purpose. Yes, he was born into the world with the intention of dying. His goal was to give his life for the redemption of the world according to the Father's will. As he bravely volunteered to sacrifice his life like this, there was joy in the nobility.

So joy increases when we join in His redemptive plan and have our sins forgiven. Yes, Jesus Christ himself said that heaven rejoices when sinners repent. Not only that, there will be peace on earth and love among men. Let us give ourselves to Him that there may be glory to God and peace on earth. Let's make Christmas meaningful.

சரியாகத் தேடுவோம் / SEEK RIGHTLY

'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,061              டிசம்பர் 24, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுகிழமை 

"யூதருக்கு ராஜாவாகப் பிறந்திருக்கிறவர் எங்கே? கிழக்கிலே அவருடைய நட்சத்திரத்தைக் கண்டு, அவரைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளவந்தோம் என்றார்கள்." ( மத்தேயு 2 : 2 )

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இந்த உலகத்தில் மனிதனாகப் பிறக்குமுன்பே அவரது பிறப்பு பல தீர்க்கதரிசிகளால் முன்குறிக்கப்பட்டு, அவர்  பிறந்தபோது முதல்முதலில் வயல்வெளியில் ஆடுகள்  மேய்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்த இடையர்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அதுபோல, ஞானிகள், பரிசுத்தவான்கள் பலருக்கும் அவரது பிறப்பு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அப்படிக் குறிப்பிட்ட நட்சத்திரம் தோன்றியதால்  அவரது பிறப்பை  அறிந்துகொண்ட கீழ்த்திசை ஞானிகள் அவரைக் சந்திக்கப் புறப்பட்டு வருகின்றனர். 

அவர்கள் முதலில் கண்ட நட்சத்திரம் அவரது பிறப்பை அவர்களுக்கு அறிவித்ததே தவிர அவர் எங்கு பிறந்துள்ளார் என்பதனை துல்லியமாக அறிவிக்கவில்லை. ஆனால் அவர்கள் யூதரின் ராஜா பிறந்துள்ளார் என அறிந்ததால் அவர் நிச்சயமாக ஒரு அரண்மனையில் ராஜகுமாரனாகப் தான் பிறந்திருப்பார் என எண்ணி ஏரோது ராஜாவின் அரண்மனைக்குச் சென்றுவிடுகின்றனர். ஆம், அவர்கள் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவாகிய மேசியாவை உலக அரசராகவே எண்ணிக்கொண்டனர்.

அன்பானவர்களே, நாமும் இன்று பலவேளைகளில் அப்படிதான் கிறிஸ்துவை மதிப்பிடுகின்றோம். உலக ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றும் ஒரு கருவியாகவே அவரைப் பார்க்கின்றோம். அவர் ராஜாதான். ஆனால் உலக ராஜாக்களைப் போன்றவரல்ல.  இதனையே இயேசு கிறிஸ்துத் தெளிவாகக் கூறினார், "என் ராஜ்யம் இவ்வுலகத்திற்குரியதல்ல," ( யோவான் 18 : 36 ) என்று. 

ஆனால் அன்று ஞானிகளது தவறை தேவன் அப்படியே விட்டுவிடவில்லை. அவர்களது ஆழ்மன எண்ணங்களை தேவன் உணர்த்திருந்ததால் அவர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்ட முதலில் கண்ட நட்சத்திரத்தை மீண்டும் அனுப்பினார்.  "அவர்கள் அந்த நட்சத்திரத்தைக் கண்டபோது, மிகுந்த ஆனந்த சந்தோஷமடைந்தார்கள்." ( மத்தேயு 2 : 10 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அந்த நட்சத்திரமே அதன் பின்பு அவர்களை வழிநடத்திச் சென்றது.

நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்துவை நோக்கி வழிநடத்தும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்கு இந்த நட்சத்திரத்தை நாம் ஒப்பிடலாம். இந்த நட்சத்திரம் எப்படி ஞானிகளை கிறிஸ்துவை நோக்கி வழி நடத்தியதோ அதேபோல நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை விட்டுத் தவறிச் சென்று விடாமல் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நேராக நடத்துகின்றார். 

எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "சத்திய ஆவியாகிய அவர் வரும்போது, சகல சத்தியத்திற்குள்ளும் உங்களை நடத்துவார்; அவர் தம்முடைய சுயமாய்ப் பேசாமல், தாம் கேள்விப்பட்டவைகள் யாவையுஞ்சொல்லி, வரப்போகிற காரியங்களை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பார்." ( யோவான் 16 : 13 ) என்று கூறினார். இந்தப் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைப் பெற்று வாழ்வில் கிறிஸ்துவை நோக்கிச் செல்வதே கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்வு. 

சிலர் கூறுவதுபோல, நமது வீட்டில் நட்சத்திர விளக்குகள் அலங்கரிப்பு செய்வது கிறிஸ்து இங்கு இருக்கிறார் என்பதற்கு அடையாளமல்ல. நமது வாழ்க்கை ஒளியாக மாறுவதே கிறிஸ்து நம்மிலும் நமது வீட்டிலும் இருக்கிறார் என்பதற்கு அடையாளம். கிறிஸ்துமஸ் மரத்தை  அலங்கரிப்பு செய்து வைப்பது  சிலர் கூறுவதுபோல சிலுவைமரத்தின் நினைவுகூரலுமல்ல. அலங்காரமான கிறிஸ்துமஸ் மரத்தைப் பார்த்து யாரும் சிலுவை மரத்தை நினைவுகூர்ந்து தியானிப்பதுமில்லை. 

இவை வெறும் பாரம்பரியங்கள். அவற்றைச் சில கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் பிற மதத்தினர் தங்கள் சடங்குகளை நியாயப்படுத்துவதுபோல நியாயப்படுத்துகின்றனர். அவற்றைச் செய்வது நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் எந்த மாறுதலையும் கொண்டுவராது. ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கைக்கு அவை உதவுவதுமில்லை. நமது விருப்பத்துக்கும் ஆசைக்காகவும்  செய்கின்றோம் அவ்வளவே.

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, வழி தவறிச் சென்ற ஞானிகளைப்போல கிறிஸ்து இல்லாத இடத்தில்  அவரைத் தேடாமல் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் வழி நடத்தலுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். சத்திய ஆவியாகிய அவரே நம்மை நிறை உண்மையை நோக்கி வழிநடத்துவார்.  முற்றிலுமாக உலக காரியங்களுக்கும் வழிபாடுகளுக்கும் அலங்காரங்களும்  முன்னுரிமை கொடுக்காமல் நமது உள்ளத்தை அவருக்கு உடைமையாக்குவோம்.

'AATHAVAN' Bible Meditation - Number: - 1,061       December 24, 2023 Sunday

"Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." (Matthew 2: 2)

Before Jesus Christ was born in this world, his birth was announced by many prophets, and when he was born, it was first announced to shepherds in the fields. Likewise, his birth was announced to many saints. As a particular star appeared, the wise men from east started their journey to meet him.

The star they first saw informed the birth of a king, but did not accurately announce where he was born. But because they knew that the king of the Jew was born, they thought he would be born in a palace, and they went to the palace of Herod. Yes, they considered Jesus Christ as the world king.

Dear people, we often value Christ today like this. We see him as a world king fulfilling our worldly desires. He is king indeed. But not like the kings of the world. This is what Jesus Christ clearly said, "My kingdom is not of this world" (John 18: 36)

But God did not leave the mistake of the wise on that day. Since God had realized their subconscious thoughts, he sent back the star that they first saw. "When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy." (Matthew 2: 10) it is said. The star then led them.

We can compare this star to the Holy Spirit who leads us to Christ. Just as this star led the wise towards Christ, the Holy Spirit treats us straight to Christ without letting us go wrong.

This is why Jesus Christ said, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." (John 16: 13) The Christian life is to get this Holy Spirit and know Christ in life.

As some say, decorating our home with stars is not a sign that Christ is here in our home. The sign is that Christ is in us and in our home is to turn our life into a life of light. Decorating the Christmas tree is not the recall of the crucifixion, as some say. Looking at the ornamental Christmas tree, no one meditate on the cross.

These are just traditions. Some Christians justify them as other religions justify their rituals. Doing them will not bring any change in our spiritual life. They do not help for our spiritual life. That is, they are acts what we do for our will and desire.

So dear brothers and sisters, we should give ourselves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, rather than seeking Christ anywhere else. He is the Spirit of Truth, who will lead us to the truth. We should make our hearts to him without giving priority to the worldly things and worship.

ஒளி அனுபவம் / LIGHT EXPERIENCE

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,060               டிசம்பர் 23, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை 

"ஒருவன் பகலிலே நடந்தால் அவன் இந்த உலகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காண்கிறபடியினால் இடறமாட்டான். ஒருவன் இரவிலே நடந்தால் தன்னிடத்தில் வெளிச்சம் இல்லாதபடியினால் இடறுவான்". ( யோவான் 11 : 9, 10 )

இரவில் சாலைகளிலுள்ள மின்சார விளக்குகள் எரியாவிட்டால் நாம் தடுமாறுகின்றோம். எனவே சிலர் மின்விளக்குகள் எரியாவிட்டால் கையில் டார்ச் லைட் எடுத்துச் செல்வார்கள். சாலை விளக்குகளைக்கூட சரியாகப் பராமரிக்காத அரசு  என அரசாங்கத்தையும் அரசு அதிகாரிகளையும் திட்டுவார்கள் ஆனால் பகல் நேரங்களில் நாம்   யாரும் மின்விளக்குகளைப் பற்றி எண்ணுவதில்லை. காரணம் பகலில் நமக்குக் கண் தெளிவாகத் தெரியும். காரணம் ஒருவன் பகலிலே நடந்தால் அவன் இந்த உலகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காண்கிறபடியினால் இடறமாட்டான்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இதுவே ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையிலும் நடக்கின்றது. ஒளியாகிய கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் பெறாமல் இருப்போமானால் மின்விளக்குகள் இல்லாதச் சாலையில் நடக்கிறவர்கள்போல இருப்போம். சாலையிலுள்ள பள்ளங்கள், கற்கள், முட்கள் போன்றவை நமக்குத் தடங்கல் ஏற்படுத்தி இடறச் செய்வதைப்போல நாம் இடறி நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் தடுமாற்றத்தைச் சந்திப்போம்.  

எந்த மின் தட்டுப்பாடோ தடங்கலோ இல்லாமல் நமக்கு ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வைத்  தொடர ஒளிதருபவர்தான் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு  கிறிஸ்து. எனவேதான் அவர் கூறினார், "நான் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் இருளிலே நடவாமல் ஜீவஒளியை அடைந்திருப்பான்." ( யோவான் 8 : 12 ) அவரைப் பின்பற்றும்போது நாம் இடறாமல் இருப்பதைத் தவிர, நாமே அவரைப்போல ஒளிகொடுக்கிறவர்களாக மாறிவிடுகின்றோம். அந்த ஒளி நாம் சரியான பாதையில் நடக்கவும் மற்றவர்களுக்கு ஒளிகாட்டவும் உதவுகின்றது. எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து,  "நீங்கள் உலகத்துக்கு வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்" ( மத்தேயு 5 : 14 ) என்றும் கூறினார். 

அதுபோல இருளில் நடக்கின்றவர்களைப் பற்றிக் கூறும்போது இயேசு,  "ஒருவன் இரவிலே நடந்தால் தன்னிடத்தில் வெளிச்சம் இல்லாதபடியினால் இடறுவான்". என்கின்றார்.  டார்ச் விளக்குபோல நம்மிடம் ஒளி இருக்குமானால் நாம் இடறமாட்டோம். அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை வாழ்வில் பெற்றுக்கொண்டவர்களாக இருப்போமானால்  பகலின் பிள்ளைகளாக இருப்போம், நாம் இடறமாட்டோம்.  இருளின் செயல்களையும் செய்யமாட்டோம்.

 

"நீங்களெல்லாரும் வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளும், பகலின் பிள்ளைகளுமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; நாம் இரவுக்கும் இருளுக்கும் உள்ளானவர்களல்லவே." ( 1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5 : 5 )

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் இடறலில்லாமல் நடந்து வெற்றிகரமான ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை நடத்தவேண்டுமானால் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வது அவசியமாயிருக்கிறது. கிறிஸ்து அனுபவத்தை நாம் பெற்றுக்கொள்வது அவசியமாயிருக்கிறது. 

நமது பாவங்களை அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு மெய்யான மனம்திரும்புதலுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போமானால் கிறிஸ்துவின் ஒளி நம்மில் ஒளிரும். இந்த அனுபவத்தைப் பெறாமல் இருந்துகொண்டு கிறிஸ்து பிறப்பைக் கொண்டாடுகிறோம் என்று கூறி நமது வீட்டையும் ஆலயங்களையும் ஒளியால் அலங்கரிப்பது நம்மில் எந்த மாற்றத்தையும் கொண்டுவராது. 

 

"நான் உலகத்திலிருக்கையில் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன்" ( யோவான் 9 : 5 ) என்கிறார் கிறிஸ்து. அந்த ஒளியை நமக்குள் தங்கி நடப்போம். அப்போது நாம் பகலின் பிள்ளைகளாக இருப்போம். பகலிலே நடந்தால் இந்த உலகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காண்கிறபடியினால் இடறமாட்டோம்.

                  LIGHT EXPERIENCE 

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,060                         December 23, 2023 Saturday

"If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him." ( John 11 : 9, 10 )

If the electric lights on the roads are not lit at night, we stumble. So, some carry a torchlight in their hand if the streetlights don't work. They criticize the government and the government officials for not maintaining even the street lights properly but none of us think about the electric lights during the day time. Because our eyes can see clearly during the day. For if a man walks in the day, he seeth the light of this world, and shall not stumble.

Beloved, this is also happening in the spiritual life. If we do not receive Christ, who is the light, we will be like those walking on a street without electric lights. We stumble in our spiritual life just as potholes, stones, thorns in the road cause us to stumble.

Lord Jesus Christ is the one who gives us light to continue our spiritual life without any power shortage or interruption. That is why he said, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John 8: 12) When we follow Him, not only we do not stumble, but also we become like Him who gives light. That light helps us to walk on the right path and shine light on others. That is why Jesus Christ said, "Ye are the light of the world. " (Matthew 5: 14)

Likewise, Jesus said about those who walk in darkness, "If a man walks in the night, he stumbles because he has no light." If we have light like a torch we will not stumble. Beloved, if we receive the Lord Jesus Christ into our lives, we will be children of the day and we will not stumble. Also, we will not do the works of darkness.

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness." (1 Thessalonians‍ 5: 5)

Therefore, beloved, if we want to walk without stumbling in our spiritual life and lead a successful spiritual life, it is necessary to receive Christ. It is necessary that we receive the Christ experience.

The light of Christ will shine in us if we confess our sins to Him and commit ourselves to true repentance. Decorating our homes and churches with light while claiming to celebrate Christ's birth without having this experience will not bring any change in us.

Christ says, "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." (John 9: 5)

Let us walk with that light within us. Then we will be children of the day. If we walk in the day we will not stumble because we see the light of this world, Jesus.

அவரைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தால் / BY THE FAITH OF HIM

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,059              டிசம்பர் 22, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"அவரைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தால் அவருக்குள் நமக்குத் தைரியமும், திடநம்பிக்கையும் தேவனிடத்தில் சேரும் சிலாக்கியமும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது"  (எபேசியர் - 3:12)

அன்பானவர்களே, வேதாகமம் ஒரு ஆவிக்குரிய புத்தகம். அதிலுள்ள அனைத்து காரியங்களும் நம்மை ஆவிக்குரிய முறையில் வளர்ச்சியடையவும் இறுதியில் நமது இலக்காகிய தேவனின் ராஜ்யத்தில் சேர்ந்து நித்திய நித்திய காலமாய் அவரோடுகூட வாழவும் நம்மைத் தயார்படுத்த எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்த கண்ணோட்டத்திலேயே நாம் வேதாகமத்தை வாசிக்கவேண்டும்.     

இந்தத் தினசரி தியானத்தில் உலக ஆசீர்வாதத்தைப்பற்றி அதிகம் கூறாததால் ஆதவன் தியானம் பலருக்கு ரசிப்பதில்லை. ஆனால் அதற்காக நாம் சத்தியத்தைக் கூறாமலிருக்க முடியாது. ஆவிக்குரிய ஆசீர்வாதமே நிரந்தரம். அந்த ஆசீர்வாதத்தினை நமக்கு வழங்கவே கிறிஸ்து இயேசு உலகினில் வந்துத் தனது உயிரைக் கொடுத்தார். எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, வேதாகம அடிப்படையிலான சத்தியங்களை நாம் அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் எனும்  ஆர்வமுடன் தொடர்ந்து இந்தத் தியானங்களை வாசிக்கும்படி வேண்டுகின்றேன்.  

இன்றைய வசனம் நமக்குப் பிதாவாகிய தேவனோடு சேர்ந்திட வழி கூறுவதாக இருக்கின்றது. பிதாவாகிய தேவனை அடைய ஒரே வழி நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதான் என்பதை  உறுதியுடன் கூறுகின்றது இந்த  வசனம். ஆம், அவரைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தால் அவருக்குள் நமக்குத் தைரியமும், திடநம்பிக்கையும் தேவனிடத்தில் சேரும் சிலாக்கியமும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது. கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் விசுவாசத்தோடு பற்றிக்கொள்ளும்போது முதலில் நமக்குத் தைரியம் ஏற்படுகின்றது. பின்னர் உறுதியான நம்பிக்கை ஏற்படுகின்றது. இந்த தைரியமும் உறுதியான விசுவாசமும் நம்மைப் பிதாவாகிய தேவனை அடைந்திடச் செய்கின்றது. 

உலகத்தில் நமக்கு ஏற்படும் பிரச்சனைகள், துன்பங்கள் சவால்கள் இவற்றை மேற்கொள்ளவேண்டுமானால் ஆவிக்குரிய இந்தத் தைரியமும் திட விசுவாசமும் நமக்குத் தேவையாக இருக்கின்றது. இல்லையானால் நாம் உலகக் கவலைகளில் அமிழ்ந்து அழிந்துபோய்விடுவோம். நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வும் சிறப்புற அமையாது.

கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் அறியாமலிருந்த பழைய நாட்களில் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவைச் சேராதவர்களாக இருந்தோம். அவரது சொத்துக்கு புறம்பானவர்களும், அன்னியர்களும், நம்பிக்கையில்லாதவர்களும் மெய்யான தேவனை வாழ்வில் பெறாதவர்களுமாக இருந்தோம் என்கின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர். "அக்காலத்திலே கிறிஸ்துவைச் சேராதவர்களும், இஸ்ரவேலுடைய காணியாட்சிக்குப் புறம்பானவர்களும், வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின் உடன்படிக்கைகளுக்கு அந்நியரும், நம்பிக்கையில்லாதவர்களும், இவ்வுலகத்தில் தேவனற்றவர்களுமாயிருந்தீர்களென்று நினைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்." ( எபேசியர் 2 : 12 )

இப்போது, அவரைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தால் அவருக்குள் நமக்குத் தைரியமும், திடநம்பிக்கையும் தேவனிடத்தில் சேரும் சிலாக்கியமும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது. அதாவது மேற்கூறப்பட்டக் குறைகள் யாவும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளும்போது நிவர்தியாகின்றன என்கின்றார்.

அவரைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசம் என்பது கிறிஸ்து ஒருவரே வழி, அவரே தேவ குமாரன் என்று விசுவாசிப்பது. எனவே அவரைத்தவிர நமக்கு வேறு யாரும் உதவிட முடியாது என்று அவரையே உறுதியாக பற்றிக்கொள்வது. பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கும் நமக்கும் இடையே மத்தியஸ்தர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து ஒருவரே என்று உறுதியாக நம்பிச் செயல்படுவது.  "தேவன் ஒருவரே, தேவனுக்கும் மனுஷருக்கும் மத்தியஸ்தரும் ஒருவரே. எல்லாரையும் மீட்கும்பொருளாகத் தம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த மனுஷனாகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசு அவரே; ( 1 தீமோத்தேயு 2 : 5, 6 )

இப்படி நாம் அவரைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தோடு இருப்போமானால் அவருக்குள் நமக்குத் தைரியமும், திடநம்பிக்கையும் தேவனிடத்தில் சேரும் சிலாக்கியமும் உண்டாகும்.

"In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him." (Ephesians 3: 12)

Beloved, the Bible is a spiritual book. Everything in it is written to prepare us to grow spiritually and ultimately join God's kingdom as our destination to live with Him forever and ever. It is from this perspective that we should read the Bible.

AATHAVAN Bible meditation is not enjoyed by many people as it does not talk much about worldly blessings. But for that we cannot be silent, but tell the truth. Spiritual blessings are eternal. Christ Jesus came into the world and gave his life to give us that blessing. So dear ones, I request you to continue reading these meditations with interest to know the truths based on scriptures.

Today's verse tells us the way to join God the Father. This verse affirms that the only way to reach God the Father is through our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, because of faith in him we have courage and confidence in him to approach God. When we lay hold of Christ by faith, we first have courage. Then there is firm belief. This courage and steadfast faith enable us to approach God the Father.

We need this spiritual courage and strong faith if we want to face the problems, sufferings and challenges that arise in the world. Otherwise, we will drown in worldly cares and perish. Our spiritual life will also be shattered.

In the old days when we did not know Christ, we were unchristian. The apostle Paul says that we were aliens, strangers, unbelievers, and those who did not receive the true God in life. "That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:" (Ephesians 2: 12)

Now, through faith in him, we have boldness and confidence in him to draw near to God. In other words, he says that all the above-mentioned defects are solved when we cling to Christ.

Faith in Him is believing that Christ is the only way, the Son of God. So, clinging to Him firmly that no one else can help us but Him. Believing that Jesus Christ is the Mediator between us and God the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2: 5)

If we have faith in Him like this, then we will have courage, confidence, and the ability to join God in Him.
