நீரை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறும் மான் / DEER PANTETH AFTER THE WATER

'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,058              டிசம்பர் 21, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை

"மானானது நீரோடையை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறுவதுபோல, தேவனே என் ஆத்துமா உம்மை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறுகிறது" (சங்கீதம் - 42:1)

தேவனை தங்களது உலக ஆசை இச்சைகளை நிறைவேற்றிடத் தேடுவோருக்கும் உண்மையயான ஆத்தும சிந்தையோடு  தேடுவோருக்கும்   மிகுந்த வேறுபாடு உண்டு. உலக ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றிட தேவனைத் தேடுபவர்கள் தங்களது சுய விருப்பங்களையும் தேவைகளையும் எடுத்துச் சொல்லிச்சொல்லி அவைகள் நிறைவேறவேண்டுமென்றே ஜெபிக்கின்றவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். அதாவது இவர்கள் வெறும் பக்தர்கள். தேவனிடம் பக்தியைமட்டும் காண்பித்து அதற்குக் கைமாறாக உலக தேவைகளைப் பெற எண்ணுபவர்கள்.

எனவே, உலக ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்ற விரும்பி தேவனை தேடுபவர்கள் மேம்போக்கான எண்ணம் கொண்டவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். தேவனது வல்லமை மகத்துவங்களோ, தேவனிடம்  மேலான அன்புறவோ அத்தகைய மனிதர்களிடம் இருக்காது. தேவனோடுகூட இதர புனிதர்களையும் கூடுமானால் வேறு தெய்வங்களையும் வேண்டுபவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். ஆத்தும தாகம் என்பதை தேவனைத்  தேடுபவர்களிடம்  மட்டுமே காண முடியும்.

வெயிலில் நடந்து களைப்படைந்த   மனிதன் ஒரு குவளைத்  தண்ணீர் கிடைத்திடாதா என ஏங்குவதுபோல ஆத்தும  தாகங்கொண்டவன் தேவனைத் தாகங்கொண்டுத் தேடுவான்.

வேதத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள பரிசுத்தவான்களிடம் இத்தகைய தாகம் இருந்தது. ஜீவ ஊற்றாகிய தேவனிடமிருந்து ஜீவ தண்ணீர் இருதயத்தில் பாய்ந்து நிரப்பிட வேண்டும் என்பதே அவர்களது நெஞ்சத்தின் பெரு விருப்பமாக இருந்தது. தேவன் இத்தகைய மன விருப்பத்துடன் மனிதர்கள் தன்னைத் தேடவேண்டுமேன்றே விரும்புகிறார். 

தாவீது ராஜா இத்தகைய இறை அனுபவத்தைக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அவர் ஒரு பெரிய ராஜாவாக இருந்தபோதும் அந்த ராஜ பதவியோ செல்வமோ அவருக்கு ஆத்தும திருப்தியைத் தரவில்லை. தேவ ஐக்கியமே அவரது தாகமாக இருந்தது. எனவேதான் அவர் ஆத்மார்த்த அன்புடன் கூறுகிறார்:

"மானானது நீரோடையை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறுவதுபோல, தேவனே என் ஆத்துமா உம்மை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறுகிறது" (சங்கீதம் - 42:1)

டிஸ்கவரி தொலைக்காட்சி சானலில் கோடைகாலத்தில் தண்ணீரைத்தேடி அலையும் மிருகங்களைக் காட்டுவார்கள். நீங்கள் அதைப் பார்த்திருக்கலாம். அவை பல நூறு கிலோமீட்டர்கள் வெய்யிலில் கடந்து தங்கள் குட்டிகளுடன் நீரைத்தேடி அலையும். வழியில் கொடிய விலங்குகளால் ஆபத்தும் தண்ணீரைக் கண்டு குடித்துத் தாக்கம் தீர்க்கப் போகும்போது முதலைகளால் ஆபத்தும் அவைகளுக்கு உண்டு.   ஆம், அவை நீரோடையை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறும். அத்தகைய உணர்வில் சிறிதளவாவது நமக்குத் தேவனைத் தேடுவதில் உண்டுமா? 

தாவீது அத்தகைய உணர்வுடன் தேவனைத் தேடினார். எனவேதான் ஆத்தும தாகம்கொண்ட அவரால் எழுதப்பட்ட சங்கீதங்கள் இன்று சுமார் நாலாயிரம் ஆண்டுகாலங்கள் கடந்தபின்னரும் நமது இருதயத்தை ஊடுருவிப்பாய்கின்றன.   

நாம் தேவனைத் தேடுகிறோமா தேவனிடமிருந்து வரும் பொருள் ஆசீர்வாதங்களைத் தேடுகிறோமா? தேவனையேத் தேடுவோமெனில் அவர் இருதயத்தில் சுரக்கும்  ஜீவத்தண்ணீரால் நம்மைத் திருப்தியாக்குவார். இல்லையானால் நாம் வெறும் உலக மதங்களைப் பின்பற்றும் மனிதர்களைப்போல வெறும் பக்தர்களாகவே இருப்போம். தேவனைத் தேடும்போதுதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து குறிப்பிட்டதுபோல நாம் சீடத்துவ வாழ்வு வாழ்பவர்களாக வாழ முயல முடியும்.

“As the deer panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God”. ( Psalms 42 : 1 )

There is a great difference between those who seek God to fulfill their worldly desires and those who seek God with a true soul mind. Those who seek God to fulfill their worldly desires are the ones who take their own desires and needs and pray for them to be fulfilled. That means they are just devotees. Those who only show devotion to God and want to get worldly needs in return.

Therefore, those who want to fulfill worldly desires and seek God will be narrow minded. Such people will not know the greatness of God's power or love for God. If their desires are to be fulfilled, they will be ready to worship other saints along with God, and they will pray to other gods. Soul thirst can only be found in those who seek God.

Just as a man tired of walking in the sun yearns for a glass of water, so the soul-thirsty man thirsts for God.

Saints mentioned in the scriptures had such a thirst. The great desire of their hearts was that the water of life should flow into their hearts from God, the source of life. God wants people to seek Him with such willingness.

King David had such a divine experience. Even though he was a great king, neither his royal position nor wealth gave him soul satisfaction. God's union was his thirst. That is why he says with soulful love:

“As the deer panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God”.

Discovery TV channel shows animals wandering in search of water in summer. You may have seen it. They travel hundreds of kilometres inland to find water with their young. There is danger from dangerous animals on the way and from crocodiles when they see water and drink to relieve the effects. Yes, they cry out for a stream. Do we have even a little of that feeling in our search for God?

David sought God with such passion. That is why the psalms written by him with a thirst for soul penetrate our hearts even after the passage of about four thousand years.

Are we seeking God or are we seeking material blessings from God? If we seek God, He will satisfy us with the water of life secreted in our hearts. Otherwise, we will be mere devotees like people who follow worldly religions. Only when we seek God can we try to live the life of discipleship as Jesus Christ mentioned.

நான் தனித்திரேன் / I AM NOT ALONE

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,057              டிசம்பர் 20, 2023 புதன்கிழமை

"இதோ, நீங்கள் சிதறுண்டு, அவனவன் தன்தன் இடத்துக்குப் போய், என்னைத் தனியே விட்டுவிடுங்காலம் வரும்; அது இப்பொழுது வந்திருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் நான் தனித்திரேன், பிதா என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார்." ( யோவான் 16 : 32 )

இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கை எப்போதுமே மகிழ்ச்சி நிறைந்ததாக இருக்காது. அதுபோல நம்மோடு இன்று இருக்கும் குடும்ப உறவினர்கள், நண்பர்கள்  எல்லோரும் எப்போதும் நம்மோடு இருப்பார்கள் என்று கூற முடியாது. தனித்துவிடப்படும் காலம் ஒவ்வொருவர் வாழ்விலும் வரும். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தன்னைப்பற்றி கூறியதுபோல அவரைப் பின்பற்றும் நமக்கும் தனிமையின் காலம் ஒன்று  வரும். ஆனால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் வாழ்வோமானால் நமது  தனிமை நம்மை வருத்தப்படுத்தாது. காரணம், "ஆனாலும் நான் தனித்திரேன், பிதா என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார்." என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியதுபோல நம்மோடும்  அவர் இருக்கின்றார். 

பிதாவாகிய தேவன் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை உலகத்தில் அனுப்பியதுபோல கிறிஸ்து நம்மை இந்த உலகத்தில் சீடத்துவ வாழ்வு வாழ அனுப்பியுள்ளார். எனவேதான்  "நீர் என்னை உலகத்தில் அனுப்பினதுபோல, நானும் அவர்களை உலகத்தில் அனுப்புகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 17 : 18 ) என்று சீடர்களிடம் கூறினார். அவர் அனுப்பியதால் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைத் தனித்திருக்கவிடவில்லை. அதனையே இன்றைய வசனத்தில் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "ஆனாலும் நான் தனித்திரேன், பிதா என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார்" என்று. 

எனவே, பிதா இயேசுவை அனுப்பியதுபோல நம்மை இயேசு உலகத்தில் அனுப்பும்போது அவரும் எப்போதும் நம்முடன் கூடவே இருப்பார் என்பது உறுதி.  எனவே, இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து இயேசு கூறுகின்றார், "என்னிடத்தில் உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்பொருட்டு இவைகளை உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன். உலகத்தில் உங்களுக்கு உபத்திரவம் உண்டு, ஆனாலும் திடன்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நான் உலகத்தை ஜெயித்தேன்." ( யோவான் 16 : 33 )

அதாவது பிதா அவரோடுகூட இருந்ததால் இயேசு துன்பத்தை ஜெயித்து உலகத்தை ஜெயித்ததுபோல நாமும் துன்பங்களைக் கடந்து ஜெயிப்போம். எனவே திடன் கொள்ளுங்கள் என்கின்றார். இந்த உலகத்தில் தனது இறுதி நாட்களில் இயேசு மிகவும் நெருக்கப்பட்டார். அவரது சீடர்கள் அனைவரும் அவரைவிட்டுவிட்டு ஓடிவிட்டனர். அவர் தனித்து விடப்பட்டார். ஆனால் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அவரோடு இருந்ததை இயேசு உறுதியாக உணர்ந்திருந்தார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நமக்கும் உலகத்தில் துன்பம் ஏற்படும்போது இப்படிப்பட்ட சூழநிலை ஏற்படலாம். நல்ல செழிப்பாக வாழும்போது ஆயிரம் உறவுகள் நம்மைச்சூழ்ந்து இருந்தாலும் வறுமைப்பட்ட நிலை வருமானால் எல்லோரும் நம்மைவிட்டு ஓடிவிடுவார்கள்.   நாம் தனித்திருக்கும் சூழல் வரலாம். ஆனால் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் வாழும்போது எப்படி பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அவரைக் கைவிடாமல் அவரோடு இருந்தாரோ அதேபோல கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நம்மோடு இருந்து நம்மை ஜெயிக்கவைப்பார். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, உலகத்தில் உங்களுக்கு உபத்திரவம் உண்டு, ஆனாலும் திடன்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நான் உலகத்தை ஜெயித்தேன்.என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

 

ஆனாலும் நான் தனித்திரேன், பிதா என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார் என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியதுபோல நாமும் கூறவேண்டுமானால் அவருக்கேற்ற ஒரு வாழ்க்கை வாழ வேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்படி வாழ்வோமானால் அவர் நம்மோடு இருப்பார். உலக மக்களோடு மக்களாக  உலகத்துக்கு ஏற்ற வாழ்ந்துவிட்டு பிரச்சனை, துன்பம் வரும்போது மட்டும் தேவனைத் தேடுவதில் அர்த்தமில்லை. அவரோடு நம்மை இணைத்துக்கொண்டு வாழும்போது அவரும் நம்மோடு இருப்பார். அப்போதுதான் நாமும் உறுதியுடன், "ஆனாலும் நான் தனித்திரேன், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார்." என்று கூறி வாழ்க்கையில் வெற்றிபெறமுடியும். 

அவர் நம்மோடு இருப்பதை அவரோடு ஐக்கியமான உறவுகொண்டு உறுதிப்படுத்திக்கொள்வோம்.

                 I AM NOT ALONE

'AATHAAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,057                        Wednesday, December 20, 2023

"Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me." (John 16: 32)

Life in this world is not always full of happiness. Likewise, it cannot be said that all the family relatives and friends who are with us today will always be with us. A period of isolation comes in everyone's life. As Jesus Christ said about himself, we who follow him will also have a period of loneliness. But if we live in Christ our loneliness will not grieve us. The reason is, “yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me." He is with us as Jesus Christ said.

Just as God the Father sent Jesus Christ into the world, Christ has sent us to live a life of discipleship in this world. Hence "As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world." (John 17: 18) He said to the disciples. God the Father did not leave Jesus Christ alone because he sent him. He says the same thing in today's verse, "Yet I am alone, and the Father is with me."

Therefore, it is certain that when Jesus sends us into the world as the Father sent Jesus, He will always be with us. Therefore, following today's meditation verse, Jesus says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16: 33)

That is, because the Father was with him, just as Jesus overcame suffering and overcame the world, we will also overcome suffering. So, he says, be strong. Jesus was very much pressed in his last days on this earth. All his disciples left him and fled. He was left alone. But Jesus was sure that God the Father was with him.

Beloved, we too can have such a situation when there is suffering in the world. When we live in good prosperity, we are surrounded by thousands of relations, but when poverty comes, everyone runs away from us. There may be a situation where we are alone. But when we live in Christ, as God the Father was with him without abandoning him, the Lord Jesus Christ will be with us and we will overcome adverse situations. Yea, beloved, ye have tribulation in the world, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world, says the Lord Jesus Christ.

However, if we want to say that I am not alone, Jesus is with me, we must live a life that suits him. If we live like that, he will be with us. There is no point in seeking God when we live according to the world as worldly people and seeking Him only when there is trouble. When we live in union with Him, He will be with us. Only then can we say with conviction, "Yet I am not alone, and the Lord Jesus Christ is with me." You can succeed in life by saying that.

Let us confirm that He is with us by having a united relationship with Him.

பூரண அன்பு / PERFECT LOVE

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,056              டிசம்பர் 19, 2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிரு" ( மாற்கு 5 : 36 )

இன்றைய வசனம் ஜெப ஆலயத் தலைவர்களில் ஒருவனாகிய  யவீரு என்பவனைப்பார்த்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியது.  மரணத்துக்கு ஏதுவாக இருக்கும் தனது மகளுக்காக இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் உதவி வேண்டி அவரைத் தனது வீட்டிற்கு அழைத்துச்செல்ல வந்தவன்தான் யவீரு. ஆனால் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அவனோடு செல்லும்போது இடையில் தடங்கலாக, இரத்தப்போக்கு  நோயுற்ற ஒரு பெண் வந்து  விடுகின்றாள். அவளோடு பேசிக்கொண்டு இயேசு காலதாமதம் பண்ணவே யவீரு மனம்கலங்கி நிற்கின்றான். அப்போது அவனைப்பார்த்து இயேசு "பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிரு" என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று நமது வாழ்விலும் சில இக்கட்டான சூழ்நிலைகள் ஏற்படும்போது நாமும் தேவனது காலதாமதமான பதிலைக்கண்டு  யவீரைபோலக் கலங்கிவிடுகின்றோம்.  நமது ஜெபத்துக்குத் தேவன் பதில் தருவாரா எனக் குழம்புகின்றோம். ஆனால் கர்த்தர் சொல்கிறார், "பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிரு." 

அப்போஸ்தரான யோவான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பான சீடன். இயேசுவைக்குறித்து முற்றிலும் அறிந்தவர். அவர் நமக்கு ஒரு தெளிவைக் கூறுகின்றார், "அன்பிலே பயமில்லை; பூரண அன்பு பயத்தைப் புறம்பே தள்ளும்; பயமானது வேதனையுள்ளது, பயப்படுகிறவன் அன்பில் பூரணப்பட்டவன் அல்ல." ( 1 யோவான்  4 : 18 ) அதாவது, விசுவாசியான நமக்குள் பயம் ஏற்படுகின்றது என்றால் நாம் இன்னும் கிறிஸ்துவிடமுள்ள அன்பில் முழுமையடையவில்லை என்று பொருள் என்கின்றார். எனவேதான் பயம் ஏற்படுகின்றது. பயமானது நமக்கு வேதனையைத் தருவதாக உள்ளது.  

இதனைக் கூறும்போது நான் வாசித்த ஒரு செய்தி நினைவுக்கு வருகின்றது. கணவனைக் கொலைசெய்ய முயன்ற மனைவி உணவில் விஷம் வைத்துக் கொடுத்துவிட்டாள். ஆனால் பின்னர் மருத்துவர்கள் உதவியால் எப்படியோ அவன் உயிர் பிழைத்துவிட்டான். அவன் காவல்துறையினரிடம் கூறும்போது, "சார், ஒவ்வொருநாளும் மரணபயத்தில்தான் நான் அவளுடன் வாழ்ந்தேன். அவள் என்னைக் கொலைசெய்துவிடுவாள் என்று பயந்து இரவில் சரியாகத் தூங்கியதுகூட இல்லை." அன்பானவர்களே, இந்த மனிதன் இப்படிக் கூறுவதற்குக்  காரணம் என்ன? அன்பில்லாத வாழ்க்கை. யோவான் கூறுவதுபோல பூரண அன்பு இருந்திருக்குமானால் ஏன் இந்த பயமும் கொலை முயற்சியும்? 

ஆம், அன்பற்ற குடும்பத்தில் பயமும் சந்தேகமும் எழுவதுபோல தேவனிடமுள்ள அன்பில் நாம்  குறைவுபடும்போது சந்தேகமும்  நிம்மதிக் குறைவு ஏற்படுகின்றது. நமது தேவன் நம்மை நமது கருவிலேயே கண்டு நம்மை உருவாக்கி நடத்திவருபவர். நமது தேவைகள் எல்லாம் அவருக்குத் தெரியும். ஆனால் தேவன் சிலவேளைகளில் நமது ஜெபங்களுக்குப் பதில்தர தாமதிக்கின்றார் என்றால் அதற்குக் காரணம் இருக்கும். நமது விசுவாசத்தை வலுப்படுத்துவதற்காக, நம்மை ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் பலப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும்  அல்லது நாம் எதிர்பார்த்திருக்கும் காரியத்தைவிட மேலான ஒன்றை நமது  வாழ்வில் தருவதற்காகவும்   தேவன் தாமதிக்கலாம்.   

தேவனது காலங்களையும் வேளைகளையும் நாம் முற்றிலும் அறியமுடியாது. ஆனால்,  "அவர் சகலத்தையும் அதனதன் காலத்திலே நேர்த்தியாகச் செய்திருக்கிறார்; உலகத்தையும் அவர்கள் உள்ளத்திலே வைத்திருக்கிறார்; ஆதலால் தேவன் ஆதிமுதல் அந்தம்மட்டும் செய்துவரும் கிரியையை மனுஷன் கண்டுபிடியான்." ( பிரசங்கி 3 : 11 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆம், அவர் அனைத்தையும் நேர்த்தியாய்ச் செய்கின்றவர். 

எனவே அவர்மேலுள்ள நமது அன்பு குறைந்திடாமல் காத்துக்கொள்வோம். அவர்மேலுள்ள அன்பு அதிகரிக்க அதிகரிக்க நமது விசுவாசமும் உறுதிப்படும். பயமானது நம்மைவிட்டு அகலும். "பயமானது வேதனையுள்ளது, பயப்படுகிறவன் அன்பில் பூரணப்பட்டவன் அல்ல"  

கிறிஸ்துவின்மேலுள்ள அன்பில் பலப்பட்டு பயப்படாமல் விசுவாசமுள்ளவர்களாயிருப்போம்.

                   PERFECT LOVE

"Be not afraid, only believe." (Mark 5: 36)

Today's verse is spoken by Jesus Christ to Jairus, one of the leaders of the synagogue. Jairus came to Jesus Christ for rescuing his dying daughter and asked Jesus to come to his home. But as Jesus Christ walks with him, a certain woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years interrupted. Jairus was upset because Jesus is spending time with her. He was worried about his dying daughter. Then Jesus looks at him and says, "Be not afraid, only believe." 

Beloved, when some difficult situations occur in our lives today, we too get confused like Jairus because of God's delayed response. We are confused whether God will answer our prayers. But the Lord says, "Fear not, be of faith."

Apostle John was a beloved disciple of Jesus Christ. He is fully aware of Jesus. He gives us a clarification, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." (1 John 4: 18) That is, if fear arises in us as believers, it means that we are not yet perfect in our love for Christ. That is why fear arises. Fear causes us pain.

While saying this, I remind a news I read. The wife tried to kill her husband and poisoned his food. But later with the help of doctors somehow, he survived. He told the police, "Sir, I lived with her in fear of death every day. I didn't even sleep well at night because I was afraid, she would kill me." Beloved, what causes this man to say this? A life without love. If there was perfect love as John says then why this fear and attempted murder?

Yes, just as fear and doubt arise in an unloving family, when we fall short in our love for God, doubt and peace also fall. Our God saw us in mother’s womb and created us will sustain us. He knows all our needs. But there is a reason why God is sometimes slow to answer our prayers. God may delay to strengthen our faith, to strengthen us in our spiritual life, or to give us something better than we expect.

We cannot know God's times and seasons completely. But, "He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also, he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." (Ecclesiastes 3: 11) we read. Yes, He is the perfecter of all things.

So, let's keep our love for him not diminishing. As our love for Him increases, so will our faith. Fear will leave us. "Fear is painful, and he who fears is not perfected in love."

Let us be strong in our love for Christ and be faithful without fear.

மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அறுவடை செய்வோம் / SHALL REAP IN JOY

'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,055              டிசம்பர் 18, 2023 திங்கள்கிழமை

"அள்ளித்தூவும் விதையைச் சுமக்கிறவன் அழுதுகொண்டு போகிறான்; ஆனாலும் தான் அறுத்த அரிகளைச் சுமந்துகொண்டு கெம்பீரத்தோடே திரும்பிவருவான்." ( சங்கீதம் 126 : 6 )

கிராமத்து விவசாயிகளோடு பல ஆண்டுகள் பழகியதால் விவசாயிகளின் வாழ்க்கைப்பற்றி பல விஷயங்கள் தெரியும்படி கர்த்தர் கிருபை செய்தார். விவசாயிகளின் வாழ்க்கை பருவகாலத்தோடு அதிகம்தொடர்புள்ளது. நகரவாசிகள் காலையில் எழுந்து அவசர அவசரமாக அலுவலகம் செல்வதுபோல அல்ல அவர்களது வாழ்க்கை.  மாதம் முடிந்தால் நகரவாசிக்குக்  கையில் சம்பளம் கிடைப்பதுபோல விவசாயிகளுக்குக் கிடைப்பதில்லை. 

தமிழகத்தில் வடகிழக்குப் பருவமழை ஆரம்பிக்கும் ஆக்டோபர் மாதத்துக்குமுன்னே  விவசாயத் தயாரிப்பு வேலைகளை அவர்கள் ஆரம்பித்துவிடுவார்கள். கையில் பணமில்லாவிட்டால் இருக்கும் சிறு தங்க நகைகளை அடகுவைத்தோ கடன் வாங்கியோத்  தயாராக இருப்பார்கள். அவர்களது வாழ்க்கை மகிழ்ச்சி நிறைந்ததல்ல.   காரணம் வீட்டுச் செலவுகளையும் விவசாயச் செலவுகளையும் கவனிக்கவேண்டும். நிலத்தை உழுது பண்படுத்தி, உரமிட்டு  விவசாயம் செய்யத்  தயாரிக்கவேண்டும். மழை வந்ததும் விதைக்கவேண்டும். அப்போது அவனுக்குக் கையில் வேறு எதுவும் இருக்காது. கடவுளைநம்பி கடன்பெற்ற பணத்தில் விதைகளை வாங்கி விதைக்கச் செல்கின்றான். இதனையே, "அள்ளித்தூவும் விதையைச் சுமக்கிறவன் அழுதுகொண்டு போகிறான்" என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, நமது வாழ்க்கையினை இந்த வசனத்தோடு பொருத்திப்பார்ப்போம். தேவனை நம்பி நாம் பலச் செயல்களைச் செய்கின்றோம். நமது இதயமாகிய நிலத்தைப் பண்படுத்துகின்றோம்.   "எனது வாழ்க்கையின் துன்பங்கள் முடிவுறாதா" என்று ஏங்குகின்றோம். நம்மைப்பார்த்து ஆண்டவர் கூறுகின்றார், "விவசாயி, தான் அறுத்த அரிகளைச் சுமந்துகொண்டு கெம்பீரத்தோடே மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வருவதைப்போல நீயும் குறிப்பிட்டக் காலத்துக்குப்பின் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவாய்." என்கிறார் கர்த்தர்.  

இப்படி நமது வாழ்வில் கர்த்தர் அதிசயம்செய்து நம்மை மகிழ்ச்சியுறச் செய்யும்போது நமக்கு அது நிஜமா கனவா என்றுகூடத் தெரியாது. இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசன சங்கீதத்தின் முதல் வசனமாக வாசிக்கின்றோம். "சீயோனின் சிறையிருப்பைக் கர்த்தர் திருப்பும்போது, சொப்பனம் காண்கிறவர்கள்போல் இருந்தோம்." ( சங்கீதம் 126 : 1 ) ஆம் , நாம் நமக்கு நடந்த மாறுதல்களை நம்பமுடியாமல் கனவு காண்கிறவர்களைப்போல இருப்போம். அத்தகையப் பெரிய  அதிசயத்தை தேவன் நமது வாழ்வில் செய்வேன் என்கின்றார்.  

நமது வாழ்க்கை எப்போதும் கண்ணீரின் வாழ்க்கையாக இருக்கப்போவதில்லை. இதனை வாசிக்கும்போது விசுவாசத்தோடு அறிக்கையிடுங்கள். நமது கண்ணீர் கெம்பீர அக்களிப்பாக மாறும். அந்த விவசாயிகளே நமக்கு முன்னுதாரணம். "கண்ணீரோடே விதைக்கிறவர்கள் கெம்பீரத்தோடே அறுப்பார்கள்." ( சங்கீதம் 126 : 5 ) இது நிச்சயம் என்கிறார் கர்த்தர்.

ஏற்றம் - இறக்கம், பள்ளம் - மேடு, இரவு - பகல், இருள் - வெளிச்சம் போலத் துன்பங்களைத் தொடர்ந்த இன்பம் உண்டு என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.  ஆனால் காத்திருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். விவசாயி விதைத்த மறுநாளில் பயிர் விளைவதில்லை. மாறாக அவன் பயிர் வளரக் காத்திருக்கின்றான், நீர் பாய்ச்சுகின்றான், உரமிடுகின்றான், களையெடுக்கின்றான் அதுபோல நாமும் நமது வாழ்க்கையில் தேவனுக்கேற்ற நமது பொறுப்புகளைச் செய்து அவர் வார்த்தைகளுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து காத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கவேண்டும். 

அப்போது நமது காத்திருப்புக்குப் பலன் கிடைக்கும். கனவா நிஜமா என நாமே திகைக்கும்வண்ணம் மேலான காரியத்தை நமது வாழ்வில் தேவன் செய்வார். அப்போது நாமும், "கர்த்தர் நமக்குப் பெரிய காரியங்களைச் செய்தார்; இதினிமித்தம் நாம் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கிறோம்." ( சங்கீதம் 126 : 3 ) என்று சங்கீதக்காரனைப்போல மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அறிக்கையிடலாம்.

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,055                                Monday, December 18, 2023

"He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." (Psalms 126: 6)

The Lord blessed me to know many things about the life of the farmers because of many years of association with the village farmers. Farmers' life is closely related to the seasons. Their life is not like that of city dwellers who wake up in the morning and rush to the office. At the end of the month, farmers do not get a salary like a city dweller.

The farmers will start the agricultural related works early before October when the northeast monsoon starts in Tamil Nadu. If they don't have money in hand, they will pawn or borrow money pledging their available small gold jewellery. Their life is not full of happiness. The reason is that; they have to look at household expenses and agricultural expenses. The land should be ploughed, fertilized and prepared for agriculture. The farmer will have nothing else but faith. Believing in God, he buys seeds with the borrowed money and goes to sow them. This is what today's verse says, “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed".

Beloved, let us align our lives with this verse. We do many things by trusting in God. Cultivating the land that is our heart. We yearn that "the miseries of my life will never end". The Lord says to us, "As the farmer, carrying the seed with weeping and return with joy which he has reaped, you too will be happy after a certain period of time." says the Lord.

In this way, when the Lord works wonders in our lives and makes us happy, we do not even know whether it is real or a dream. We read this as the first verse of today's hymn. "When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream." (Psalms 126: 1) Yes, we will be like dreamers who cannot believe the changes that have happened to us. God says he will do such a great miracle in our lives.

Our life is not always going to be a life of tears. Report with faith as you read this. Our tears will turn into happiness. Those farmers are our example. "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy." (Psalms 126: 5) This is certain, says the Lord.

Like ups and downs, pits and hills, night and day, darkness and light, there is pleasure that follows sufferings, says the Lord God. But the wait is worth it. The farmer does not produce the crop the day after he sows it. On the contrary, he waits for the crop to grow, waters, fertilizes, and weeds. Similarly, we should do our responsibilities towards God in our lives and obey his words.

Then our wait will be worth it. Whether it is a dream or a reality, God will do things in our lives beyond what we can imagine. Then we also say, "The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad." (Psalms 126: 3) and may happily report like the psalmist.

வேறே ஆண்டவன்மார் / OTHER LORDS

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,054               டிசம்பர் 17, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மையல்லாமல் வேறே ஆண்டவன்மார் எங்களை ஆண்டார்கள்; இனி உம்மை மாத்திரம் சார்ந்து உம்முடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்துவோம்." ( ஏசாயா 26 : 13 )

நாம் எவற்றுக்கெல்லாம் அடிமைகளாகியுள்ளோமோ அவையெல்லாம் நம்மை ஆண்டுகொள்கின்றன என்று பொருள்.  இப்படி மனிதர்களாகிய நம்மை பல்வேறு ஆண்டவன்மார்கள் ஆளுகின்றார்கள்.  பல்வேறுவகை பாவங்கள் நம்மை  ஆளுகின்றன. எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "பாவம் செய்கிறவன் எவனும் பாவத்துக்கு அடிமையாய் இருக்கின்றான்"  (யோவான் 8:34)  என்று கூறினார்.

இதுபோலவே மனிதர்கள், பணம், பதவி, புகழ் இவைகளுக்கு அடிமையாகி அவற்றை அடைந்திட பல்வேறு உபாயங்களைக் கையாளுகின்றனர். இவை பல மனிதர்களை ஆளுகை செய்கின்றன.  அவர்களது குணங்களை முற்றிலும் மாற்றிவிடுகின்றன. 

தேவனை மேன்மையாக எண்ணாமல் மேற்படி பாவங்களையும் பாவத்தைத் தூண்டும் செயல்களையும் செய்து இதுவரை உம்மையல்லாமல் வேறே ஆண்டவன்மார் எங்களை ஆளும்படி வாழ்ந்துவிட்டோம்; இனி உம்மை மாத்திரம் சார்ந்து உம்முடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்துவோம் என்று ஏசாயா இன்றைய வசனத்தில் கூறுகின்றார்.  

இப்படி தேவனைத் தவிர மற்றவை நம்மை ஆளும் காரணம் படைத்த தேவனை ஆராதிக்காமல் படைக்கப்பட்டப் பொருட்களின்மேல் நாட்டம் கொள்வதும் அவற்றை வணங்குவதும் தான் என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பவுல்.  "தேவனுடைய சத்தியத்தை அவர்கள் பொய்யாக மாற்றி, சிருஷ்டிகரைத்தொழுது சேவியாமல் சிருஷ்டியைத் தொழுது சேவித்தார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 1 : 25 )

இப்படி மெய்யான தேவனை அறியும் அறிவைப்  பற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்க மனமில்லாதபடியால் தகாதவைகளை மனிதர்கள் செய்கின்றனர் என்கின்றார். "தேவனை அறியும் அறிவைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்க அவர்களுக்கு மனதில்லாதிருந்தபடியால், தகாதவைகளைச் செய்யும்படி, தேவன் அவர்களைக் கேடான சிந்தைக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்." ( ரோமர் 1 : 28 ) அதாவது அவர்களை தேவனே கேடான சிந்தைக்குக் கையளித்துவிடுகின்றார். எனவே தேவனை நாம் அறிய மனதில்லாமல் இருக்கும்போது இந்தக் கேடான சிந்தைகளே நம்மை ஆளுகின்றன. 

தேவனையல்லாமல் வேறு ஆண்டவன்மார் நம்மை ஆளும்போது நமது குணம் எப்படியிருக்கும் என்பதையும் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் பட்டியலிட்டுக் கூறுகின்றார்:-

"அவர்கள் சகலவித அநியாயத்தினாலும், வேசித்தனத்தினாலும், துரோகத்தினாலும், பொருளாசையினாலும், குரோதத்தினாலும் நிறையப்பட்டு; பொறாமையினாலும், கொலையினாலும், வாக்குவாதத்தினாலும், வஞ்சகத்தினாலும், வன்மத்தினாலும் நிறைந்தவர்களுமாய், புறங்கூறுகிறவர்களுமாய், அவதூறு பண்ணுகிறவர்களுமாய், தேவபகைஞருமாய், துராகிருதம் பண்ணுகிறவர்களுமாய், அகந்தையுள்ளவர்களுமாய், வீம்புக்காரருமாய், பொல்லாதவைகளை யோசித்துப் பிணைக்கிறவர்களுமாய், பெற்றாருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களுமாய், உணர்வில்லாதவர்களுமாய், உடன்படிக்கைகளை மீறுகிறவர்களுமாய், சுபாவ அன்பில்லாதவர்களுமாய், இணங்காதவர்களுமாய், இரக்கமில்லாதவர்களுமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 1 : 29 - 31 )

அன்பானவர்களே, வேறு ஆண்டவன்மார்களுக்கு இடம்கொடுக்கும்போது  நாம் எவ்வளவு கேடுகெட்டவர்கள் ஆகிவிடுகின்றோம் பாருங்கள்!! எனவே, "ஆண்டவரே, வேறு ஆண்டவன்மார்கள் எங்களை ஆண்டபோது நாங்கள் இப்படிப்பட்ட குணங்களுள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தோம், இனி உம்மை மாத்திரம் சார்ந்து உம்முடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்துவோம்."  என்று மனப்பூர்வமாக அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு வேண்டுவோம். அப்போது, அவரே நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஆண்டு நடத்துவார்.

                 OTHER LORDS 

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,054                           Sunday, December 17, 2023

"O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name." (Isaiah 26: 13)

It means that whatever we are enslaved to, they dominate us. As such, we humans are ruled by various lords. Different types of sins rule us. That is why Jesus Christ said, "Whoever commits sin is the slave of sin." (John 8:34)

Similarly, people are addicted to money, position and fame and use various tricks to achieve them. These rule many people. They completely change their qualities.

We many times have done the above sins and various actions without considering God as superior, so far we have lived to be ruled by other lords other than you; Isaiah says in today's verse that, we will depend on you alone and proclaim your name.

Apostle Paul says that worshipping other Gods than our Lord is the reason for this; instead of worshiping the created God, worshiping the created things. "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever." (Romans 1: 25)

He says that people do inappropriate things because they do not have the heart to grasp the knowledge of knowing the true God.

"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;" (Romans 1: 28) That is, God gives them over to evil thoughts. So, when we do not have the heart to know God, these evil thoughts rule us.

The Apostle Paul also lists what our character will be like when we are ruled by lords other than God: -

"Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:" (Romans 1: 29 - 31)

Beloved, see how wicked we become when we give place to other lords!! Therefore, "Lord, we were of such qualities when other lords ruled over us, now we depend on You alone and proclaim Your name." Let's sincerely report to him. Then, He Himself will guide us completely.

அவர் உள்ளத்தில் இருப்பதை உணர்ந்து / REALIZING HIS PRESENCE WITHIN US

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,053               டிசம்பர் 16, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"அவர் தமக்குச் சொந்தமானதிலே வந்தார், அவருக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்களோ அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை." ( யோவான் 1 : 11 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் நாம் பலவேளைகளில் சில குடும்பங்களில் பெற்றோரைக் கைவிடும் பிள்ளைகளைக்குறித்தச்  செய்திகளை அறிகின்றோம். குழந்தைகளது முன்னேற்றத்துக்காக அயராது உழைக்கும் பெற்றோர்கள் கைவிடப்படும் நிலையில் அவர்களது மனது எவ்வளவு வேதனைப்படும் என்று எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள். அத்துடன் பெற்றோர்கள் கட்டிய வீட்டிலேயே அவர்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் துரத்திவிடும்போது எப்படியிருக்கும்? ஆம், கிறிஸ்துவையும் உலகம் அப்படிதான் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் துரத்தியது. 

இந்த உலகைப் படைத்தவர் அவர்தான். இதனை நாம், "அவர் உலகத்தில் இருந்தார், உலகம் அவர் மூலமாய் உண்டாயிற்று, உலகமோ அவரை அறியவில்லை." ( யோவான் 1 : 10 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். மேலும், "இந்தக் கடைசி நாட்களில் குமாரன் மூலமாய் நமக்குத் திருவுளம்பற்றினார்; இவரைச் சர்வத்துக்கும் சுதந்தரவாளியாக நியமித்தார், இவரைக்கொண்டு உலகங்களையும் உண்டாக்கினார்." ( எபிரெயர் 1 : 2 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

இப்படி அவரால் உண்டாக்கப்பட்ட அவருக்குச் சொந்தமான உலகத்தில் அவர் வந்தார். "அவர் தமக்குச் சொந்தமானதிலே வந்தார், அவருக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்களோ அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை." 

இதற்குக் காரணம் அவரது வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்க மனமில்லாமைதான். "நான் இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தார் அனைவரையும் யூதாவின் குடும்பத்தார் அனைவரையும், எனக்கு ஜனங்களாகவும், கீர்த்தியாகவும், துதியாகவும், மகிமையாகவும் சேர்க்கையாக்கிக்கொண்டேன்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் செவிகொடாமற்போனார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்." ( எரேமியா 13 : 11 ) என்று  எரேமியா மூலம் கர்த்தர் கூறுகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துமஸ் கொண்டாட்டங்களுக்கு முன்னுரிமைகொடுத்து அந்த விழாவுக்காக ஆயத்தம்பண்ணும் நாம் அவரை நமக்குள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள ஆயத்தமாகவேண்டாமா? அவர் தனக்கு விழா எடுக்கவேண்டும், அந்த நாளில் போட்டிகள் நடத்தி பரிசுகள் கொடுக்கவேண்டும், புத்தாடைகள் அணிந்து மகிழவேண்டும், கறிவிருந்து உண்ணவேண்டும்   என்று எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை. மாறாக, நமது  உள்ளங்களில் அவருக்கு இடம் கொடுக்க வேண்டுமென்றுதான்  அவர் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார்.

அப்படி இடம்கொடுக்காமல் நாம் வாழும்போது தாயையும் தகப்பனையும் வீட்டைவிட்டுத் துரத்திவிட்டு கறி விருந்து சாப்பிடும் மகனைப்போலவே நாம் இருப்போம். நமது இருதயக் கதவைத் திறந்து அவரை உள்ளே அனுமதிக்காமல் நாம் கொண்டாடும் கிறிஸ்துமஸ் அர்த்தமிழந்ததாகவே இருக்கும். 

"இதோ, வாசற்படியிலே நின்று தட்டுகிறேன்; ஒருவன் என் சத்தத்தைக்கேட்டு, கதவைத் திறந்தால், அவனிடத்தில் நான் பிரவேசித்து, அவனோடே போஜனம்பண்ணுவேன், அவனும் என்னோடே போஜனம்பண்ணுவான்." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 3 : 20 ) என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர். 

அவருக்குச் சொந்தமான நம்மைத் தேடிவந்த அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வோம்; அவருக்குச் சொந்த மக்களாக வாழ்வோம். பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு ஆண்டுக்கு ஒருநாள் அல்ல; தினசரி அவர் நமது உள்ளத்தில் இருப்பதை உணர்ந்து அவரோடு வாழும் மேலான அனுபவத்தைப் பெற்று மகிழ்வோம்.

 REALIZING HIS PRESENCE WITHIN US 

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,053                      December 16, 2023 Saturday

"He came unto his own, and his own received him not." ( John 1 : 11 )

In this world we often hear news about children who abandon their parents in some families. Imagine the heartbreak of parents who work tirelessly for the betterment of their children when they are abandoned. Also, think of their condition when parents are thrown out of the house they built? Yes, Christ was rejected by the world in the same way.

He is the creator of this world. "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." (John 1: 10) we read. And, "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;" (Hebrews 1: 2) Thus, he came into a world of his own, created by him. "He came into his own, and his own received him not."

This is due to unwillingness to listen to his words. "So have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear." (Jeremiah 13: 11) says the Lord through Jeremiah.

Beloved, should we not prepare ourselves for the celebration of Christmas by prioritizing it and preparing for it? He did not expect to have a festival for himself, to hold contests and give gifts on that day, to enjoy wearing new clothes and to eat mutton curry. Rather, He expects us to give Him a place in our hearts.

When we live without such space, we will be like the son who chases his mother and father away from home and eats delicious mutton feast. The Christmas we celebrate without opening the door of our heart and letting him in will be meaningless.

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3: 20) says the Lord God.

குமாரனை உடையவன் / HE THAT HATH THE SON

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,052               டிசம்பர் 15, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"குமாரனை உடையவன் ஜீவனை உடையவன், தேவனுடைய குமாரன் இல்லாதவன் ஜீவன் இல்லாதவன்." ( 1 யோவான்  5 : 12 )

மனிதன் நிலைவாழ்வு எனும் நித்தியஜீவனுக்குத் தகுதியுள்ளவன் ஆகவேண்டும் என்பதே தேவனது விருப்பம்.  ஆதியில் ஏதேனில் ஆண்டவர் ஜீவ விருட்சம் நன்மை தீமை அறியும் விருட்சம் எனும் இரு மரங்களை வளரச் செய்திருந்தார். "தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர், பார்வைக்கு அழகும் புசிப்புக்கு நலமுமான சகலவித விருட்சங்களையும், தோட்டத்தின் நடுவிலே ஜீவவிருட்சத்தையும், நன்மை தீமை அறியத்தக்க விருட்சத்தையும் பூமியிலிருந்து முளைக்கப்பண்ணினார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 2 : 9 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் தேவன் நன்மை தீமை அறியத்தக்க மரத்தின் கனியை உண்ணக்கூடாது ( ஆதியாகமம் 3 : 3 ) என்று கட்டளை கொடுத்தாரேத்  தவிர ஜீவவிருட்சத்தைப்பற்றி எதுவும் கூறவில்லை. 

ஆனால் மனிதனுக்குத் தேவனது கட்டளைக்குக் கீழ்படிவதைவிட சாத்தானின் நயவசனிப்பான பேச்சுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதே இன்பமாக இருந்தது. அவனுக்கு ஜீவவிருட்சத்தின் கனியைப்பற்றிய அக்கறையில்லை. தேவனால் விலக்கப்பட்ட நன்மை தீமை அறியும் மரத்தின் கனியை தேவ கட்டளையை மீறி உண்டான். எனவே தேவன் மனிதனை ஏதேனிலிருந்து துரத்தினார். மட்டுமல்ல, தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்படியாதவனுக்கு ஜீவ விருட்சத்தின் கனியை உண்ணத் தகுதியில்லாததால் அதனை பாவம் செய்த மனிதன் உண்ணக்கூடாது எனத் தடை செய்தார். ஆம், "அவர் மனுஷனைத் துரத்திவிட்டு, ஜீவவிருட்சத்துக்குப் போகும் வழியைக் காவல்செய்ய ஏதேன் தோட்டத்துக்குக் கிழக்கே கேருபீன்களையும், வீசிக்கொண்டிருக்கிற சுடரொளி பட்டயத்தையும் வைத்தார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 3 : 24 )

ஆனால் தேவன் மனிதர்களை அப்படியே விட்டுவிடவில்லை. ஆதாமின் மீறுதலிலிருந்து மனிதர்களை விடுவித்து நித்திய ஜீவனுக்குத் தகுதியாக்கத் தேவன் சித்தம் கொண்டார். எனவேதான் ஜீவன் தரும் கனியாகச் சிலுவையில் தொங்கித் தன்னை விசுவாசிப்போருக்கு நித்தியஜீவனை அளிக்க முன்வந்தார்.  பிதாவிடம் சேர்வதே நித்திய ஜீவன். எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார், "நானே வழியும் சத்தியமும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; என்னாலேயல்லாமல் ஒருவனும் பிதாவினிடத்தில் வரான்." ( யோவான் 14 : 6 )

மேலும், "ஒன்றான மெய்த்தேவனாகிய உம்மையும் நீர் அனுப்பினவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவையும் அறிவதே நித்தியஜீவன்." ( யோவான் 17 : 3 ) என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவையும் பிதாவாகிய தேவனையும் ஆராதிப்பது நித்திய ஜீவன் என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறவில்லை. மாறாக, அவர்களை அறிவதே நித்தியஜீவன் என்று கூறுகின்றார்.  

இதயபூர்வமாக அவரை அறிந்து, அவர் நமது இருதயத்தில் இருப்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்தவேண்டும். வெறுமனே சில சடங்குகள் செய்வதால் அவர் நமது இருதயத்தில் வந்துவிடமாட்டார். ஆராதனைகள் செய்வதால் அவரை இருதயத்தில் பெற முடியாது. முதலில் நமது பாவங்களை அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரது இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்படும் அனுபவத்தை நாம் பெறவேண்டும். அப்போது அவர் நமது உள்ளே வருவது நமக்குத் தெரியும். அப்படி குமாரனாகிய அவரை அறிந்து நாம் நமக்குள் அவரைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது நாம் குமாரனை உடையவர்களாகின்றோம். அப்படி குமாரனை உடையவன் ஜீவனை உடையவன், தேவனுடைய குமாரன் இல்லாதவன் ஜீவன் இல்லாதவன்.

"உங்களுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டென்று நீங்கள் அறியவும், தேவகுமாரனுடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் நீங்கள் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கவும், தேவகுமாரனுடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிற உங்களுக்கு இவைகளை எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்." ( 1 யோவான்  5 : 13 ) என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, வேறு யாருக்கோ அவர் இதனை எழுதியதாகக் கூறவில்லை.  மாறாக "தேவகுமாரனுடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிற உங்களுக்கு இவைகளை எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்." என்கின்றார். இதிலிருந்து அவரை விசுவாசிப்பது என்பது வேறு அவரை இருதயத்தில் உடையவர்களாக வாழ்வது வேறு என்பது புரிகின்றதல்லவா? 

வெறும் விசுவாசிகளாக அல்ல; குமாரனாகிய அவரை  உடையவர்களாக வாழ முயலுவோம். அதற்கு முதலில் நமது பாவங்களை அவரிடம் மனப்பூரவமாக அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம்.

"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1 John 5: 12)

It is God's will that man should be worthy of everlasting life. In the beginning, God made two trees grow in Eden, the tree of life, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. "And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.' (Genesis 2: 9)

But God did not say anything about the tree of life except that he commanded not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3:3).

But it was more pleasing to man to obey Satan's persuasive speech than to obey God's command. He does not care about the fruit of the tree of life. He ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, forbidden by God, disobeyed God's command. So, God drove man out of Eden. Not only that, because the one who disobeys God does not deserve to eat the fruit of the tree of life, He forbade that the man who has sinned should not eat it. Yes, "So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." (Genesis 3: 24)

But God did not leave people like that for ever. God willed to redeem men from Adam's transgression and qualify them for eternal life. That is why He offered to give eternal life to those who believed in Him by hanging on the cross as the fruit of life. Eternal life is to be joined to the Father. That is why Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

And, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17: 3) said Jesus Christ. Yes beloved, Jesus Christ did not say that worshiping Jesus Christ and God the Father is eternal life. On the contrary, he says that knowing them is eternal life.

We must know Him by heart and confirm His presence in our hearts. He will not come into our hearts simply by doing some rituals. You cannot get Him in your heart by doing prayers. We must first confess our sins to Him and experience being washed by His blood. Then we will have the assurance that He is coming into us. When we know Him as the Son and receive Him in ourselves, we become Sons. So, he who has the Son has life, but he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5: 13) says the apostle John. Yes, dear ones, he never told that it is written for anyone else. Rather he says, "I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God." Hence, is it not clear from this that believing in Him is different from living with Him in the heart?

Not just as believers; Let us try to live as possessors of Him, the Son. First of all, we should sincerely confess our sins to Him and ask for His forgiveness.
