Meditation Verse - 2 கொரிந்தியர் 9: 10 / 2 Corinthians 9:10

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 29, 2025. 💚புதன்கிழமை

"விதைக்கிறவனுக்கு விதையையும், புசிக்கிறதற்கு ஆகாரத்தையும் அளிக்கிறவர் உங்களுக்கு விதையை அளித்து, அதைப் பெருகப்பண்ணி, உங்கள் நீதியின் விளைச்சலை வர்த்திக்கச்செய்வார்." (2 கொரிந்தியர் 9: 10)

பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கு (அதாவது, நம்மிடையே வாழும் ஆவிக்குரிய  சகோதர சகோதரிகளுக்கு) நாம் உதவிடவேண்டும் என்பதனை விளக்கும்போது அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். இந்த அதிகாரத்தின்  துவக்கத்தில் இதனையே அவர், "பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டிய தர்மசகாயத்தைக்குறித்து, நான் அதிகமாக உங்களுக்கு எழுதவேண்டுவதில்லை." (2 கொரிந்தியர் 9: 1) என்று கூறி ஆரம்பிக்கின்றார்.

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் "விதைக்கிறவனுக்கு விதையையும், புசிக்கிறதற்கு ஆகாரத்தையும் அளிக்கிறவர்" என்று அவர் கூறியிருந்தாலும் அது நாம் விதைக்கும் தானிய விதையையும் உண்ணும் உணவையும் நேரடியாகக் குறிக்கவில்லை. மாறாக, ஆவிக்குரிய விதையையும் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வின் விளைச்சலையும்  அது குறிக்கின்றது. இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் இறுதிப்பகுதியில் அவர், "உங்கள் நீதியின் விளைச்சலை வர்த்திக்கச்செய்வார்." என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்.

அதாவது நம்மிடையே வறுமையில் வாழும் ஆவிக்குரிய சகோதர சகோதரிகளுக்கு நாம் உதவிடும்போது தேவன் நம்மில் நீதியின் விளைச்சலை வர்த்திக்கச்செய்வார். நாம் நீதியுள்ள ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழ உதவிடுவார். 

சாதாரண பிச்சைக்காரர்களுக்கு உதவுவதற்கும் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழும் வறியவர்களுக்கு உதவுவதற்கும் வித்தியாசம் உண்டு. காரணம், பிச்சையெடுக்கும் பலர் அந்தப்பணத்தைத் தகாத விதத்தில் செலவழிக்கின்றனர்.  மாலை நேரங்களில் டாஸ்மாக் கடைகளின்முன்னே மது பாட்டில்கள் வாங்குவதற்குக் காத்திருக்கும் பல பிச்சைக்காரர்களை நாம் பார்க்கலாம். மட்டுமல்ல, பிச்சையெடுக்கும் பணத்தில் பீடி, சிகரெட் வாங்குவதற்கும் இதர போதைப் பொருட்களை வாங்குவதற்கும் அவர்களில் பலர் ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்.

நாம் ஒருவருக்கு பிச்சையளிக்கும்போது அவர் அந்தப்பணத்தை என்னகாரியங்களுக்குச் செலவழிகின்றார் என்று  பார்க்கவேண்டிய அவசியம் இல்லையெனினும்  தேவையில் இருக்கும் ஆவிக்குரிய மக்களுக்கு நாம் பணஉதவி செய்வது இவர்களுக்கு உதவுவதைவிட மேலானது.  இந்த உதவிகளை, "அவனவன் விசனமாயுமல்ல, கட்டாயமாயுமல்ல, தன் மனதில் நியமித்தபடியே கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; உற்சாகமாய்க் கொடுக்கிறவனிடத்தில் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்." (2 கொரிந்தியர் 9: 7) என்று கூறுகின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் நம்மோடு வசிக்கும் ஏழை விசுவாசிகளுக்கு உதவி செய்வோம். அதுவும் காட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் அல்ல, மாறாக நமது மனதின் எண்ணப்படி கொடுத்து உதவுவோம். நாம் மகிழ்வுடன் எவ்வளவு கொடுத்தாலும் அது தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையதே. அப்படி நாம் கொடுக்கும்போது விதைக்கிறவனுக்கு விதையையும், புசிக்கிறதற்கு ஆகாரத்தையும் அளிக்கிறவர் நமக்கு விதையை அளித்து, அதைப் பெருகப்பண்ணி, நம்மில் நீதியின் விளைச்சலைப் பெருகும்படிச் செய்வார்.

"Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness." (2 Corinthians 9:10)

When explaining the importance of helping the saints (spiritual brothers and sisters living among us), Apostle Paul brings up today’s meditation verse. At the beginning of this chapter, he states, "For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you." (2 Corinthians 9:1).

In today’s meditation verse, while Paul says, “He that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food,” he is not referring directly to the seeds we sow or the food we eat. Instead, he is speaking of spiritual seed and the fruits of a spiritual life. This is clarified in the latter part of the verse, where he states, “and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”

This means that when we help spiritually needy brothers and sisters among us, God will increase the fruits of righteousness in us. He will help us lead a righteous, spiritually enriched life.

There is a difference between helping random beggars and supporting the poor who live a spiritual life. Many beggars misuse the money they receive. In the evenings, you can often see them outside liquor shops, buying alcohol. Some use the alms to buy cigarettes, beedis, or other intoxicants.

While it is not mandatory to track how someone spends the money we give, it is far better to assist those in spiritual need than to aid those who might misuse it. Regarding this, Apostle Paul says, "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Dear beloved, let us support the poor believers who live a spiritual life among us. Let us give cheerfully, not out of compulsion, but according to the desire of our hearts. Whatever we give joyfully will be acceptable to God. When we give in this way, the one who provides seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply the seed for sowing and increase the harvest of righteousness in us.

Meditation Verse - 2 கொரிந்தியர் 9: 8 / 2 Corinthians 9:8

'ஆதவன்' ஜனவரி 28, 2025. 💚செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"மேலும், நீங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் எப்பொழுதும் சம்பூரணமுடையவர்களாயும், சகலவித நற்கிரியைகளிலும் பெருகுகிறவர்களாயுமிருக்கும்படியாக, தேவன் உங்களிடத்தில் சகலவித கிருபையையும் பெருகச்செய்ய வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்." (2 கொரிந்தியர் 9: 8)

இன்று பொதுவாக அனைவரும் உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களையே தேவனிடம் வேண்டுகின்றோம். ஆனால் தேவன் உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களை அளிக்கவும் உலகச் செல்வங்களைச் சேர்க்கவும் நமக்கு உதவிட இந்த உலகினில் வரவில்லை. தனது சுய இரத்தத்தால் நம்மை அவர் மீட்டுத் தமக்கு உரியவராகிக்கொண்டது மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய நோக்கத்தில்தான். ஆனால் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் இதனை அறியவில்லை. ஆலயங்களுக்குச் சென்று தங்கள் சுய தேவைகளை விண்ணப்பங்களாக தேவனிடம் எடுத்துச் சொல்வதே ஜெபம் என்றும் ஆன்மிகம் என்றும் எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர்.

எனவேதான் இன்றைய நம்மைத் தெளிவுபடுத்தக்   கூறுகின்றது, "எல்லாவற்றிலும் எப்பொழுதும் சம்பூரணமுடையவர்களாயும், சகலவித நற்கிரியைகளிலும் பெருகுகிறவர்களாயுமிருக்கும்படியாக, தேவன் உங்களிடத்தில் சகலவித கிருபையையும் பெருகச்செய்ய வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்" என்று. அதாவது, நாம் எல்லா காரியங்களிலும் எப்போதும் பூரணமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்க தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். அடுத்து, எல்லாவிதமான நல்ல செயல்களையும் செய்து அவற்றில் நாம் பெருகவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகின்றார். இப்படிச் செய்வதற்கான கிருபையினை நம்மில் பெருகச் செய்ய அவர் வல்லவராய் இருக்கிறார்.

இந்த வசனத்தின்படிப் பார்ப்போமானால் நாம் நல்ல செயல்கள் செய்வதற்கு தேவனுடைய கிருபை தேவையாக இருக்கின்றது. உலக மனிதர்கள் பலரும் பலவிதமான நல்ல செயல்களைச் செய்கின்றனர். ஆனால் தேவன் அதனைப் பெரிதாகப் பார்ப்பதில்லை. முதலில் நல்லது செய்யும் மனிதர்கள் சம்பூரணம் அடையவேண்டும்.  அதனைத்தான் "எல்லாவற்றிலும் எப்பொழுதும் சம்பூரணமுடையவர்களாயும்". என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. சம்பூரணம் என்பது முழுமையைக் குறிக்கின்றது. காரணம், நல்லது செய்வதற்குமுன் முதலில்  நாமே நல்லவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டுமென்று தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். 

இதனையே இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "நீ உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற உத்திரத்தை உணராமல், உன் சகோதரனை நோக்கி: சகோதரனே, நான் உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போடட்டும் என்று நீ சொல்வதெப்படி? மாயக்காரனே! முன்பு உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற உத்திரத்தை எடுத்துப்போடு, பின்பு உன் சகோதரன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போட வகைபார்ப்பாய்." ( லுூக்கா 6: 42) என்று கூறினார். சகோதரன் கண்ணிலிருக்கும் துரும்பை அகற்றுவது நல்ல செயல்தான். ஆனால் அதற்குமுன் நமது கண்ணிலுள்ள உத்திரத்தை உணர்ந்து அகற்றிடவேண்டியது அவசியம் என்கிறார் தேவன்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே,  நல்லது செய்வதால் நம்மை நாமே நியாயப்படுத்தி உண்மையிலேயே நாம் நல்லவர்கள் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்ளக்கூடாது. அது நம்மை நாமே ஏமாற்றுவதாகும். நாம் முதலில் முழுமை அடையவேண்டும். அதற்குத் தேவனுடைய கிருபை நமக்கு அவசியம். தேவ கிருபையில் பெருகிடவும் தேவன் நம்மூலம் செயல்படவும் நாம் இடம்கொடுக்கவேண்டும். தேவ கிருபை நம்மில் எப்போது பெருகும்? அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு கூறுகின்றார்,  "தேவனையும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவையும் அறிகிற அறிவினால் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் பெருகக்கடவது." (2 பேதுரு 1: 2) என்று. 

அதாவது, முதலில் நாம் பிதாவாகிய தேவனையும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவையும் அறிகிற அறிவினால் வளரவேண்டும். அப்போது நம்மில் தேவ கிருபை பெருகிடும். அதன்பின்னர் நாம் செய்யும் நல்ல செயல்கள் உண்மையிலேயே தேவனுக்கேற்ற நல்ல செயல்களாக இருக்கும்.

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." (2 Corinthians 9:8, KJV)

Today, many of us often seek worldly blessings from God. However, God did not come into this world to grant us worldly riches or help us accumulate material wealth. Through His own precious blood, He redeemed us to belong to Him, fulfilling a higher spiritual purpose. Unfortunately, many fail to understand this truth. People often perceive prayer and spirituality as merely presenting their personal needs to God at church.

That is why today's Scripture clarifies: "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." God desires us to be sufficient in all things at all times and to abound in every good work. He is able to increase His grace in us to accomplish this.

When we reflect on this verse, it becomes clear that we need God's grace to perform good works. Many in the world engage in various charitable deeds, but God does not necessarily regard these acts as significant unless the doer is made complete in Him first. As the verse says, "having all sufficiency in all things," God wants us to be complete before we engage in good works.

Jesus Christ also emphasized this principle when He said, "Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye." (Luke 6:42, KJV) Removing the speck from your brother's eye is indeed a good deed, but Jesus first calls for the removal of the beam from your own eye.

Beloved, doing good deeds should not lead us to self-justify or consider ourselves righteous. That would only deceive us. We must first seek completion in Christ. For this, we need God's abundant grace. To grow in grace and allow God to work through us, we must make room for Him in our lives.

When does God's grace abound in us? The apostle Peter explains, "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord." (2 Peter 1:2, KJV)

In other words, we must first grow in the knowledge of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. As we grow in this knowledge, God's grace abounds in us. Then, the good works we perform will be truly acceptable to God.

Meditation Verse - எபிரெயர் 2: 11 / Hebrews 2:11

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 27, 2025. 💚திங்கள்கிழமை

"எப்படியெனில், பரிசுத்தஞ்செய்கிறவரும் பரிசுத்தஞ் செய்யப்படுகிறவர்களுமாகிய யாவரும் ஒருவராலே உண்டாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; இதினிமித்தம் அவர்களைச் சகோதரரென்று சொல்ல அவர் வெட்கப்படாமல்..." ( எபிரெயர் 2: 11)

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமது மூத்த சகோதரனாக இருக்கின்றார். இது எப்படி என்பதனையும் அதன் மேன்மையையும்  இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நம்மைத் தியானிக்க அழைப்புவிடுகின்றது. மட்டுமல்ல, அவர் ஏன் நமக்காகத்  தனது உயிரைக்கொடுக்க முன்வந்தார் என்றால், அவர் நமது மூத்த சகோதரனாக இருப்பதால்தான் எனும் உண்மையும் உணர்த்தப்படுகின்றது.  

இன்றைய தியான வசனம்  "பரிசுத்தஞ்செய்கிறவரும் பரிசுத்தஞ் செய்யப்படுகிறவர்களுமாகிய யாவரும் ஒருவராலே உண்டாயிருக்கிறார்கள்" என்று கூறுகின்றது. நம்மைப் பரிசுத்தம் செய்கிறவர் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அவரால் பரிசுத்தம் செய்யப்படுபவர்கள் நாம். இப்படி நம்மைப் பரிசுத்தம் செய்யும் அவரும் நாமும் ஒரே பிதாவாகிய தேவனால் பிறந்தவர்கள். எனவே அவர் நமக்குச் சகோதரன். சாதாரண அற்ப மனிதர்களாகிய நம்மைத் தமது சகோதரர்கள் / சகோதரிகள் என்று கூறிட அவர் வெட்கப்படவில்லை என்று இந்த வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

இன்று பலர் உயர் பதவிகள் பெறும்போது தங்களது ஏழையான உறவினர்களை உறவினர்கள் என்று கூறிடத் தயங்குவதுண்டு.  இதனைவிடக் கொடுமைகளும் நடப்பதுண்டு. ஒரு சம்பவம் கேள்விப்பட்டேன், தனது மகள் வாழ்வில் நல்ல நிலையில் வரவேண்டும் எனும் ஆர்வத்தில் பக்கத்து வீடுகளில் வீட்டுவேலை செய்து சம்பாதித்த பணத்தில் ஒரு தாய் தனது மகளை கல்லூரியில் உயர்கல்வி படிக்கவைத்தாள். மாணவிகள் விடுதியில் தங்கியிருந்து அந்த மகள் படித்துவந்தாள். ஒருமுறை மகளைப் பார்க்கும் ஆவலில் மகள் விரும்பி உண்ணும் உணவுப்பண்டங்களை வாங்கிக்கொண்டு மாணவிகள் விடுதிக்குச் சென்றாள் அந்தத் தாய்.  

ஆனால் அந்த மகளோ தாயைச் சந்திக்க விரும்பவில்லை. காரணம் தன்னுடன் படிக்கும் சக மாணவிகள் ஏழ்மையான தனது குடும்ப நிலைமையை அறிந்துகொண்டால் அவமானம் என எண்ணினாள். "இனி இப்படி என்னைப் பார்க்க வராதே" என்று தாயைக் கண்டித்தாள். மட்டுமல்ல, தன்னிடம் விசாரித்த மற்ற மாணவிகளிடம் "இது என் வீட்டு வேலைக்காரி" என்று கூறினாள். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, ஆனால் இத்தகைய குணத்துக்கு மாறாக, நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து விண்ணக மகிமையை விட்டு இறங்கி நம்மில் ஒருவரைப் போலானார். "ஆதலால், பிள்ளைகள் மாம்சத்தையும் இரத்தத்தையும் உடையவர்களாயிருக்க, அவரும் அவர்களைப்போல மாம்சத்தையும் இரத்தத்தையும் உடையவரானார்" ( எபிரெயர் 2: 14) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். அதாவது அவரது மகிமையான தேவ சாயலை விட்டு நம்மைப்போன்ற அழியக்கூறிய அற்பமான உடலெடுத்தார். 

நாம் முன்பு உதாரணத்தில் தனது சொந்தத் தாயைப்பார்பது அவமானம் என எண்ணியப் பெண்ணைப்போல அவர் நம்மைச் சகோதரர்கள் என்று கூறிட வெட்கப்படவில்லை. மாறாக நம்மை மீட்பதற்காகத் தனது உயிரையே கொடுக்கவும்  முன்வந்தார். நமக்காக பாடுகள் அனுபவித்துச்சோதிக்கப்பட்டார். எனவே அவர் நமக்கு உதவிசெய்ய வல்லவராய் இருக்கிறார். "ஆதலால், அவர்தாமே சோதிக்கப்பட்டுப் பாடுபட்டதினாலே, அவர் சோதிக்கப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்ய வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்." ( எபிரெயர் 2: 18)

அவர் நமது மூத்த சகோதரனும் நமக்காக உயிரைக்கொடுத்தவருமாக இருப்பதால் நாம் எந்தத் தயக்கமுமின்றி அவரை அணுகலாம். அவரும் நாமும் ஒரே பிதாவாகிய தேவனால் உண்டானவர்கள் என்பது எண்ணுவதற்கு எதனைச் சிறப்புமிக்கது. "எனது சகோதரன் கலெக்டராக இருக்கிறார், மருத்துவராக இருக்கிறார்" என்று கூறிக்கொள்வதில் அற்பமான பெருமையடைகின்றோம். ஆனால் அதனைவிட எத்தனை மேன்மையானது, "எனது மூத்த சகோதரன்தான் இந்த அண்டசராசரங்களை உண்டாக்கியது" என்றுகூறுவது? ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் யாருமே அற்பமானவர்களல்ல.   தயக்கமின்றி அவரை அணுகி நமது தேவைகளை எடுத்துக்கூறுவோம்.

Scripture Meditation - No. 1,450

"For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren." (Hebrews 2:11, KJV)

Our Lord Jesus Christ is our elder brother. Today’s meditation verse invites us to reflect on how this is true and how marvellous this truth is. It also reveals why He willingly gave His life for us—because He is our elder brother.

The verse says, “He that sanctifieth” (the Lord Jesus Christ) and “they who are sanctified” (us) are all of one—born of the same Father. Jesus sanctifies us, and through this sanctification, we share a bond with Him as children of the same Heavenly Father. Therefore, He is not ashamed to call us His brothers and sisters, even though we are mere humans.

In today’s world, people often feel embarrassed to acknowledge their humble roots or poor relatives when they achieve a higher status. There are even heartbreaking stories.

For example, I heard about a mother who, with great love, worked as a maid in neighbouring homes to earn enough money to send her daughter to college. The daughter stayed in a hostel and pursued higher studies. One day, the mother, eager to see her daughter, brought her favourite food and visited the hostel.

But the daughter refused to meet her. Why? She feared that her peers would learn about her impoverished background and ridicule her. She even scolded her mother, saying, “Don’t come here again!” Worse still, she introduced her mother to her friends as her maid.

In contrast to this kind of attitude, our Lord Jesus Christ left the glory of heaven and came down to be one among us. The Bible says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same” (Hebrews 2:14). He set aside His divine glory and took on a perishable human body like ours.

Unlike the girl in the earlier example, Jesus is not ashamed to call us His brothers and sisters. He even gave His life for us. He endured pain and suffering to redeem us. Therefore, He is able to help us in our struggles: “For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.” (Hebrews 2:18).

Because He is our elder brother who gave His life for us, we can approach Him without hesitation. How glorious it is to know that He and we are born of the same Heavenly Father! Many of us feel proud to say, “My brother is a collector” or “My brother is a doctor.” How much more glorious it is to declare, “My elder brother created the heavens and the earth!”

Dearly beloved, we are not insignificant. Let us boldly approach Him and share our needs.

"சந்தேகப்படுகிறவன் காற்றினால் அடிபட்டு அலைகிற கடலின் அலைக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறான். அப்படிப்பட்ட மனுஷன் தான் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் எதையாகிலும் பெறலாமென்று நினையாதிருப்பானாக." ( யாக்கோபு 1: 6, 7)

சந்தேகம் என்பது மிகக்கொடிய வியாதியைப் போன்றது. இந்த உலகத்தில் அன்றாடச் செய்தித்தாள்களில் நாம் சந்தேகத்தினால் ஏற்படும் குடும்பப்பிரிவுகள், கொலைகள் குறித்து அதிகம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். சந்தேகம் என்பது உள்ளிருந்து மரங்களை அரித்து அழிக்கும் பூச்சிகளைப்போல மனிதனை அரிக்கும் கொடிய  மனவியாதியாகும். 

உலக காரியங்களில் இப்படி இருக்குமானால் தேவனுக்குமுன் அது எவ்வளவுக் கொடியதாக இருக்கும்! எனவேதான் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் சந்தேகப்படும் மனிதர்களை காற்றினால் அடிபட்டு அலைகிற கடலின் அலைக்கு ஒப்பிடுகின்றது. சந்தேகம் கொண்டவன் மனதும்   இப்படிக் கடல் அலைபோல கொந்தளித்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கும். 

தேவ காரியங்களில் இப்படி நாம் சந்தேகப்படுபவர்களாக இருப்போமானால் நாம் தேவனிடமிருந்து எதனையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. இயேசு அற்புதங்கள் செய்த பல இடங்களில், "இதனைச் செய்ய என்னால் கூடும் என்று  நீ விசுவாசிக்கிறாயா?" என்று கேட்பதை நாம் வேதாகமத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். மேலும்  "அவர்களுடைய அவிசுவாசத்தினிமித்தம் அவர் அங்கே அநேக அற்புதங்களைச் செய்யவில்லை." ( மத்தேயு 13: 58) என்றும் வாசிக்கின்றோம். அதாவது தேவனிடமிருந்து நாம் எதிர்பார்ப்பது கிடைக்கவேண்டுமானால் நாம் முதலில் அதனை அவரிடமிருந்து  பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம் என்று நம்பவேண்டும்.. 

இயேசு மேலும் கூறினார், "நீ விசுவாசிக்கக்கூடுமானால் ஆகும், விசுவாசிக்கிறவனுக்கு எல்லாம் கூடும்." ( மாற்கு 9: 23) என்று.  ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனிடம் நாம் ஜெபிப்பது மட்டும் போதாது, அந்த ஜெபம் விசுவாசமுள்ளதாக இருக்கவேண்டும். "ஆதலால், நீங்கள் ஜெபம்பண்ணும்போது எவைகளைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவீர்களோ, அவைகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம் என்று விசுவாசியுங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவைகள் உங்களுக்கு உண்டாகும் என்று சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( மாற்கு 11: 24) என்று இயேசு கூறியது நாம் நினைவில் கொள்ளவேண்டியதாகும்.  

சிறு குழந்தை தனது தாய் தகப்பனிடம் எதனையாவது கேட்கும்போது முழு விசுவாசத்துடன்தான் கேட்கும். அப்படிக் குழந்தைக் கேட்பது அதற்குத் தேவையும் தகுதியுமானது என்று கருதினால் பெற்றோர்களும் அதனை நிறைவேற்றுவார்கள். அதுபோலவே தேவனும் இருக்கின்றார். எனவே, நாம் நமது தேவைகள் எதுவானாலும் பெற்றோரிடம் கேட்பதுபோன்ற உரிமையுடன் விசுவாசத்துடன் கேட்கும்போது அது தேவனால் நமக்கு நிறைவேறும். 

"நான் விசுவாசத்துடன்தான் ஜெபிக்கிறேன் ஆனால் எனது ஜெபத்தைத் தேவன் கேட்கவே இல்லையே"  என்று இதனை வாசிக்கும்போது சிலர் எண்ணலாம். நாம் கேட்பது நூறுசதம் உலக ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றவே என்றால் நமது ஜெப விண்ணப்பங்களை தேவன் அங்கீகரிக்க மாட்டார் என்கிறார் அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபு. 

"நீங்கள் விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணியும், உங்கள் இச்சைகளை நிறைவேற்றும்படி செலவழிக்கவேண்டுமென்று தகாதவிதமாய் விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணுகிற படியினால், பெற்றுக் கொள்ளாமலிருக்கிறீர்கள். விபசாரரே, விபசாரிகளே, உலக சிநேகம் தேவனுக்கு விரோதமான பகையென்று அறியீர்களா? ஆகையால் உலகத்துக்குச் சிநேகிதனாயிருக்க விரும்புகிறவன் தேவனுக்குப் பகைஞனாகிறான்." ( யாக்கோபு 4: 3, 4)

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நமது ஜெபங்களில் விசுவாசத்துடன் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடைய மேலான காரியங்களையே நாடுவோம். அப்போது உலக காரியங்களை நாம்  கேட்காமலேயே நமது வாழ்வில் அவர் நிறைவேற்றுவார்.

Scripture Meditation - No. 1,449

AATHAVAN 💚 January 26, 2025 💚 Sunday

"For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord." (James 1:6-7)

Doubt is like a severe disease. In our daily newspapers, we often read about broken families and murders caused by suspicion. Doubt is a destructive mental ailment, much like a pest that eats away at a tree from within, slowly destroying it.

If this is the case with worldly matters, how much worse would it be before God! That is why today’s meditation verse compares a doubting person to a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. The heart of a doubter, like the waves, remains restless and unsettled.

When it comes to spiritual matters, if we are people of doubt, today’s verse clearly says that we cannot receive anything from the Lord. In several places where Jesus performed miracles, we read that He asked, “Believest thou that I am able to do this?” (Matthew 9:28). Furthermore, the Scripture records, “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:58). This means that in order to receive from God, we must first believe that we will receive it from Him.

Jesus also said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23). Yes, beloved, it is not enough just to pray to God; our prayers must also be filled with faith. Let us remember the words of Jesus: “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24).

When a little child asks something of their parents, they ask with complete trust. If the request is necessary and worthy, the parents fulfil it. Similarly, God responds when we approach Him with faith, just as a child approaches their parents. Whatever our needs may be, when we ask with confidence and faith, God will fulfil them.

Some may think, “I pray with faith, but God doesn’t seem to hear my prayer.” Apostle James says that if we ask only to satisfy our worldly desires, God will not approve our prayer requests.

"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." (James 4:3-4).

Yes, dear ones, in our prayers, let us seek higher things that are pleasing to God with faith. When we do so, God will fulfil even the worldly needs of our lives without we asking for them.

Meditation Verse - லுூக்கா 24: 29 / Luke 24:29

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,448

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 25, 2025. 💚சனிக்கிழமை

"அவர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி: நீர் எங்களுடனே தங்கியிரும், சாயங்காலமாயிற்று, பொழுதும் போயிற்று, என்று அவரை வருந்திக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களுடனே தங்கும்படி உள்ளே போனார்." ( லுூக்கா 24: 29)

கிறிஸ்து அனுபவத்தை நாம் நமது வாழ்வில் பெற்று மகிழ்ந்திட  முதலில் நாம் அவரை வருந்தி அழைக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

உயிர்த்தெழுந்த ஆண்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து எம்மாவு நோக்கிச் சென்றுகொண்டிருந்த தனது சீடர்கள் இரண்டுபேருடன் ஒரு கிராமத்தான் போல  கூடவே நடந்து சென்றார். அவர்களும் அவரை  யார் என்று அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. எருசலேமில் இயேசு கொலைசெய்யப்பட்ட சம்பவங்களைக் குறித்து அவர்கள் பேசிக்கொண்டு சென்றனர். 

மரணமடைந்த கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்காக அவர்கள் கவலையோடு இருந்ததை இயேசு அறிந்தார். மேசியா கொல்லப்படவேண்டும் என்று பழைய ஏற்பட்டு நூலில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ள தீர்க்கதரிசனங்களை அவர் அவர்களுக்கு விளக்கிக்கூறி அவர்களைத் தேற்றினார்.  அவர்கள் செல்லவேண்டிய இடம் வந்தபின்னர் அவர் அதனைக்கடந்து செல்பவரைப்போலக்  கட்டிக்கொண்டார். அப்போது அந்தச் சீடர்கள், "நீர் எங்களுடனே தங்கியிரும், சாயங்காலமாயிற்று, பொழுதும் போயிற்று, என்று அவரை வருந்திக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள்."

அவர்களோடு தங்கிய அவர் உணவு உண்ணும்போது தன்னை அவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார். தன்னை யார் என்று அறியாமலேயே அழைத்தச் சீடர்கள் அறியும்படி அவர்களது கண்களைத் திறந்தார். இன்று நம்மில் பலரும் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் எனினும் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் அவரை அறியாதவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றோம். "நீர் எங்களுடனே தங்கியிரும்" என்று நாம் அறியாத இயேசுவை நம்மோடு தங்கும்படி நாம் அழைக்கும்போது அவர் நம்முள்ளத்தில் வருவார்; தன்னை நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துவார். 

இதுபோலவே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உயிரோடு உலகினில் வாழ்ந்தபோது கானாவூர் திருமண வீட்டார் அவரை அழைத்தனர். "இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீஷரும் அந்தக் கலியாணத்துக்கு அழைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்." ( யோவான் 2: 2) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். அந்த வீட்டார் அவர் தங்களுக்கு அற்புதம் செய்வார் என்று அறிந்தோ அற்புதத்தை விரும்பியோ அழைக்கவில்லை. காரணம், இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அதற்கு முன் எந்த அற்புதமும் செய்திருக்கவில்லை.  இயேசு தங்கள் வீட்டுத் திருமணத்தில் கலந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும் என்று விரும்பித்தான் அழைத்தனர். ஆனால் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது முதல் அற்புதத்தை அந்தத் திருமண வீட்டில் செய்து தன்னை உலகுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இந்தச் சம்பவங்கள் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறியவும் அவர்மூலம் அற்புதங்களைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவும் வழிகாட்டுபனவையாக உள்ளன. முதலில் நாம் அந்தச் சீடர்கள் அழைத்ததுபோல அவரை நமது உள்ளத்தில் வரும்படி  அழைக்கவேண்டும். மட்டுமல்ல, கானாவூர் திருமண வீட்டார் இயேசு தங்கள் வீட்டிற்கு வரவேண்டும் என்று அழைத்ததுபோல அவர் நம் உள்ளத்திலும்  வீட்டிலும் வரவேண்டும் எனும் ஒரே எண்ணமுடையவர்களாக அழைக்கவேண்டும். 

இப்படி கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் அழைக்கும்போது அவர் நமது உள்ளத்தில் புதிய ஆவியால் நிரப்பி நம்மில் வந்து தங்குவார். நாம் எதிர்பாராத  அற்புதங்களை நாம் காணும்படிச் செய்வார்.   நீர் எங்களுடனே தங்கியிரும், என்று அவரை அழைப்போம்; அப்பொழுது அவர் நம்முடனே தங்கும்படி உள்ளே வருவார். 

"என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடு, அப்பொழுது நான் உனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுத்து, நீ அறியாததும் உனக்கு எட்டாததுமான பெரிய காரியங்களை உனக்கு அறிவிப்பேன்." ( எரேமியா 33: 3) என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

"But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them." (Luke 24:29)

To experience the presence of Christ and rejoice in our lives, it is essential to invite Him earnestly.

The risen Lord Jesus Christ walked with two of His disciples on their way to a village called Emmaus. They did not recognize Him as He journeyed with them. As they discussed the events surrounding Jesus’ crucifixion in Jerusalem, He perceived their sorrow.

Jesus, knowing their distress over His death, explained the prophecies about the Messiah's suffering as written in the Old Testament, comforting them. When they reached their destination, He acted as though He would go further. But the disciples pleaded earnestly, saying, "Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent."

Jesus stayed with them, and while breaking bread, He revealed Himself. Their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him. Today, many of us identify as Christians, yet we do not personally know Him. When we invite Jesus with the words, "Abide with us," He will enter our hearts and reveal Himself to us.

Similarly, during His earthly ministry, Jesus attended the wedding at Cana. As the Bible records, "And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage" (John 2:2). The hosts did not invite Him expecting a miracle, as He had not performed any miracles before that. They invited Him simply because they desired His presence. Yet, Jesus performed His first miracle there, turning water into wine, and revealed His glory to the world.

Beloved, these events serve as a guide for us to know Christ and receive His wonders. Like the disciples who invited Him into their home and the hosts at Cana who welcomed Him into their wedding, we must invite Him earnestly into our hearts and homes.

When we sincerely call upon Christ, He will fill our hearts with His Spirit and abide with us. He will work miracles beyond our expectations. Let us say, "Abide with us," and He will surely come and dwell with us.

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." (Jeremiah 33:3)

Meditation Verse - ரோமர் 1: 11 / Romans 1:11

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,447

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 24, 2025. 💚வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"உங்களிலும் என்னிலுமுள்ள விசுவாசத்தினால் உங்களோடுகூட நானும் ஆறுதலடையும்படிக்கும், உங்களைக் காண வாஞ்சையாயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே," ( ரோமர் 1: 11)

ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் தேவ அனுபவம் உள்ள மற்ற உடன் சகோதர சகோதரிகளுடன் நாம் உறவுடன் வாழவேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நமக்கு எடுத்துக்கூறுகின்றது.

அப்படி நாம் ஐக்கியத்துடன் வாழும்போது அது பலவேளைகளில் நமக்கு அறுத்தலும் தேறுதலும் அளிப்பதாக இருக்கும். சில வேளைகளில் உலகப் பிரச்சனைகள், துன்பங்கள் நம்மைச் சோர்வுறச் செய்வதுண்டு. அத்தகைய வேளைகளில் ஆவிக்குரிய ஐக்கியம் நம்மைத் தூக்கிவிடுவதாக இருக்கும். இதனை நான் பலவேளைகளில் அனுபவத்தில் உணர்ந்திருக்கிறேன். ஆவிக்குரிய நல்ல ஐக்கியம் இல்லாமல் வாழ்வோமானால் அது நாம் பின்மாறிப்போக காரணமாகவும் அமைந்துவிடும். 

இதனையே நாம், "ஒருவன் விழுந்தால் அவன் உடனாளி அவனைத் தூக்கிவிடுவான்; ஒண்டியாயிருந்து விழுகிறவனுக்கு ஐயோ, அவனைத் தூக்கிவிடத் துணையில்லையே." ( பிரசங்கி 4 : 10 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய ஐக்கியம் கொள்ளும்போது ஒருவர் ஒருவரது துன்பத்தில் தேறுதல் அளிக்கின்றோம். மேலும் அடுத்தவருக்கு பக்தி விருத்தி உண்டாக்க உதவுகின்றோம். இதனாலேயே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "ஆகையால் நீங்கள் செய்துவருகிறபடியே, ஒருவரையொருவர் தேற்றி, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பக்திவிருத்தி உண்டாகும்படி செய்யுங்கள்." (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5: 11) என்று அறிவுரை கூறுகின்றார். 

மேலும் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், "உங்களைக் காண வாஞ்சையாயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே," எனக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது ஆவிக்குரிய மேலான அனுபவமுள்ள அல்லது நம்மைப்போன்ற அனுபவமுள்ளவர்களை நாம் சந்திக்க ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். பொதுவாக உலக மக்கள் பிரபலமான நடிகர்கள், பாடகர்கள், அரசியல் தலைவர்கள் போன்றவர்களைச் சந்திக்க ஆசைப்படுவார்கள். ஆனால் அத்தகைய சந்திப்பில் சற்றுநேர மன மகிழ்ச்சியைத் தவிர வேறு எதுவும் பலனாகக்  கிடைத்திடாது. ஆனால் ஆவிக்குரிய நண்பர்களைச் சந்திப்பது இருவருக்குமே நன்மையாக முடியும். 

சாதாரண பள்ளிப் பாடங்களைக்கூட சக மாணவர்களோடு கலந்து உறவாடிப் படிக்கும்போது நமக்குத் தெளிவாகப் பாடங்கள் புரிகின்றன; சந்தேகங்கள் நிவிர்த்தியாகின்றன. அதுபோலவே தான் இதுவும். ஆவியானவர் நமக்கு வேத வசனங்களைத் தெளிவாகப் புரியவைப்பது உண்மைதான் எனினும் நமக்கு ஆவியானவர் புரியவைத்ததை மற்றவர்களோடு நாம் பகிர்ந்துகொள்வதை தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார்.    

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மிலுள்ள விசுவாசத்தினால் மற்றவர்களோடுகூட நாமும் ஆறுதலடையும்படிக்கு, தேவ அனுபவமுள்ள மற்றவர்ககளைக் கண்டு உறவாட வாஞ்சையாயிருப்போம்

Scripture Meditation - No: 1,447

"That I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me." (Romans 1:11, KJV)

Today's meditation verse highlights the necessity of living in fellowship with fellow believers who have spiritual experiences in their walk with God.

When we live in unity with such individuals, it often brings us encouragement and strength. There are times when the troubles and challenges of the world may weigh us down. In those moments, spiritual fellowship lifts us up. I have personally experienced this on numerous occasions. On the contrary, living without godly fellowship can lead to spiritual decline.

As it is written, "For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." (Ecclesiastes 4:10, KJV)

When we build spiritual fellowship, we comfort one another in times of trouble and also help in the spiritual growth of others. This is why the apostle Paul advises: "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." (1 Thessalonians 5:11, KJV)

Additionally, today's verse mentions, "That I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established." (Romans 1:11, KJV). This implies that we must desire to meet those who are spiritually experienced or those who share similar spiritual growth as ours. People in the world often yearn to meet celebrities, singers, or political leaders. While such meetings may bring temporary joy, they yield little long-term benefit. However, meeting spiritual friends always leads to mutual edification and blessings.

Even in academics, studying with fellow students often helps in better understanding and clarifying doubts. Similarly, while the Holy Spirit indeed gives us clarity in understanding the Scriptures, God desires that we share with others what the Holy Spirit has taught us.

Yes, dear ones, let us earnestly desire to meet and fellowship with those who have spiritual experiences so that we may be comforted together by our mutual faith.

Meditation Verse - 1 யோவான் 2 : 17 / 1 John 2:17

வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,446

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 23, 2025. 💚வியாழக்கிழமை

"உலகமும் அதன் இச்சையும் ஒழிந்துபோம்; தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்கிறவனோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பான்." (1 யோவான்  2 : 17)

இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழும் மக்களில் பலரும் எதிர்காலத்தைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக பல்வேறு சொத்து சுகங்களைச்  சேர்த்துவைக்கின்றனர். தேவைக்கு இப்படிச் சேர்ப்பது தவறல்ல, ஆனால் இதுவே நிரந்தரம் என்று கருதி துன்மார்க்கத்தில் உழன்று இப்படி சொத்துக்களைக் குவிப்பது ஆபத்தானது. உலகத்தில் வாழும் நாமோ, நமது சொத்துக்களோ நமது பிள்ளைகளோ நிரந்தரமானவைகளல்ல. நமக்குமுன் வாழ்ந்து மடிந்துபோன மூதாதையர்களைப்போல நாமும் மடிந்துபோவோம். 

மட்டுமல்ல, இந்த மொத்த உலகமும் அழிவுக்காகவே வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.   உலகத்தின் அழிவுகுறித்து ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பல்வேறு முறை கூறி உலக முடிவுக்குமுன் நடைபெறும் சில அடையாளங்களையும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.  அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுருவும், "இப்பொழுது இருக்கிற வானங்களும் பூமியும் அந்த வார்த்தைகளினாலேயே அக்கினிக்கு இரையாக வைக்கப்பட்டு, தேவபக்தியில்லாதவர்கள் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்பட்டு அழிந்துபோகும் நாள்வரைக்கும் காக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது." (2 பேதுரு 3: 7) என்றும், "கர்த்தருடைய நாள் இரவிலே திருடன் வருகிறவிதமாய் வரும்; அப்பொழுது வானங்கள் மடமட என்று அகன்றுபோகும், பூதங்கள் வெந்து உருகிப்போகும், பூமியும் அதிலுள்ள கிரியைகளும் எரிந்து அழிந்துபோகும்." (2 பேதுரு 3: 10) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

இந்த உலகம் இப்படி அழிந்தாலும் உலகத்திலுள்ள மற்ற எல்லா உயிரினங்களும் அழிந்தாலும் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஏற்ப வாழ்ந்து நிலைவாழ்வு எனும் முடிவில்லா வாழ்வுக்குத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாக இருப்பவர்கள் அழியாமல் நிலைத்திருப்பார்கள். நித்தியஜீவன் எனும் முடிவில்லா வாழ்வு ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசித்து வாழ்வோருக்கு உண்டு என்று வேதம் குறிப்பிடுகின்றது. இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம்,  "உலகமும் அதன் இச்சையும் ஒழிந்துபோம்; தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்கிறவனோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பான்." என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார், "அழிந்துபோகிற போஜனத்திற்காக அல்ல, நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனத்திற்காகவே கிரியை நடப்பியுங்கள்; அதை மனுஷகுமாரன் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பார்; அவரைப் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் முத்திரித்திருக்கிறார் என்றார்." ( யோவான் 6: 27) என்று.  மனுஷ குமாரனான அவரே நித்திய வாழ்வைக் கொடுக்கவல்லவர். 

தொடர்ந்து அவர் இது குறித்து பல்வேறுமுறை கூறியுள்ளார். உதாரணமாக, "என்னிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவனுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டென்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 6: 47) மற்றும், "என் மாம்சத்தைப் புசித்து, என் இரத்தத்தைப் பானம்பண்ணுகிறவனுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டு; நான் அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் எழுப்புவேன்." ( யோவான் 6: 54)

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் உலக இச்சைகொண்டவர்களாக இந்த உலகமே நிரந்தரம் என்று வாழ்வோமானால் பரிதபிக்கக்கூடியவர்களாக இருப்போம். உலகம் முடிவதோடு அழிவது மட்டுமல்ல, பிசாசுக்கு ஆயத்தம்பண்ணியுள்ள நித்திய நரக அக்கினிக்கு இரையாகவும் ஆவோம். இதனை வேதம் இரண்டாம் மரணம் என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றது. வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷத்தில் பின்வருமாறு வாசிக்கின்றோம்:- "பயப்படுகிறவர்களும், அவிசுவாசிகளும், அருவருப்பானவர்களும், கொலைபாதகரும், விபசாரக்காரரும், சூனியக்காரரும், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரரும், பொய்யர் அனைவரும் இரண்டாம் மரணமாகிய அக்கினியும் கந்தகமும் எரிகிற கடலிலே பங்கடைவார்கள்" ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 21: 8)

எனவே நாம் அழிந்துபோகிற போஜனத்திற்காக அல்ல; உலக செல்வங்களுக்காக அல்ல,  நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனத்திற்காகவே செயல்களை நடப்பிப்போம். அதனை மனுஷகுமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசு  நமக்குக் கொடுப்பார்.

Scripture Meditation - No. 1,446 

AATHAVAN💚 January 23, 2025. 💚 Thursday 

"And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever." (1 John 2:17)

Many people in this world accumulate wealth and possessions for their children, considering their future. While it is not wrong to prepare for their needs, it is dangerous to toil in wickedness and amass wealth as if it were eternal. Neither we, our possessions, nor our children are permanent. Just as our ancestors who lived before us passed away, so too shall we.

Moreover, the entire world itself is destined for destruction. The Lord Jesus Christ has repeatedly spoken about the end of the world, detailing signs that will precede its conclusion. The apostle Peter also wrote, "But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." (2 Peter 3:7) He further warned, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." (2 Peter 3:10)

Although the world and all life within it will perish, those who live in accordance with the will of the Lord Jesus Christ will be deemed worthy of eternal life and will not perish but endure forever. The Scriptures affirm that eternal life is granted to those who live by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. As today’s meditation verse reminds us, "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever."

Jesus Christ declared, "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed." (John 6:27) The Son of Man alone has the power to give eternal life.

He reiterated this truth on multiple occasions. For instance: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." (John 6:47)

"Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:54)

Yes, beloved, if we live as lovers of the world, believing it to be permanent, we are to be pitied. The end of the world signifies not only its destruction but also eternal condemnation in the lake of fire prepared for the devil. The Bible calls this the second death. In the book of Revelation, it is written: "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8)

Therefore, let us not labor for perishable meat or worldly riches, but for that which leads to eternal life. This eternal sustenance will be given to us by the Son of Man, Christ Jesus.
