Meditation Verse - யாத்திராகமம் 33: 15 / Exodus 33:15

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,445

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 22, 2025. 💚புதன்கிழமை

"உம்முடைய சமுகம் என்னோடேகூடச் செல்லாமற்போனால், எங்களை இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுபோகாதிரும்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 33: 15) 

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் கானானை நோக்கிச் சென்ற பயணம் கண்ணைக்கட்டிக் காட்டில் விட்டதுபோன்ற நிலையிலேயே இருந்தது. அன்றாட அடிப்படைத் தேவைகளை சந்திப்பதும், எதிரி ராஜாக்களால் வரவிருந்த பிரச்சனைகளும், போர்களும்  எதிர்பார்க்க முடியாதவையாக இருந்தன.  இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களோ போர் பயிற்சி பெற்றவர்களல்ல. எதிரிகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டுமானால் போரிட ஆயத்தமாய் இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஆனால் தேவன் மோசேக்கு  தைரியம் கொடுத்தார்.   "என் சமுகம் உனக்கு முன்பாகச் செல்லும், நான் உனக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் தருவேன் என்றார்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 33: 14)

இப்படியொரு சூழ்நிலையில் மக்களை வழிநடத்திய மோசேயிடம், தேவன், "என் சமுகம் உனக்கு முன்பாகச் செல்லும்" என்று தைரியம் கூறியதற்கு மறுமொழியாக மோசே, "உம்முடைய சமுகம் என்னோடேகூடச் செல்லாமற்போனால், எங்களை இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுபோகாதிரும்." என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

"தேவனே நீர் என்னோடு இருப்பேன் என்று கூறுவதை நான் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கின்றேன், ஆனால் அப்படி நீர் என்னோடு இருந்தால் மட்டுமே இங்கிருந்து எங்களைக்  கொண்டு செல்லவேண்டும், அப்படி இல்லையானால் இங்கிருந்து கொண்டுசெல்லவேண்டாம்" என்கின்றார் மோசே. அதாவது தேவனது வார்த்தைகளை உறுதிப்படுத்துமாறு  இங்கு மோசே வேண்டுகின்றார்.  

இப்படி மோசேயும் தேவனும் பேசிக்கொள்வது இரு நண்பர்கள் பேசுவதுபோல இருப்பதை நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். இதனால்தான் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தின்முன்பு 11 ஆம் வசனத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம்,  "ஒருவன் தன் சிநேகிதனோடே பேசுவதுபோல, கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே முகமுகமாய்ப் பேசினார்; " ( யாத்திராகமம் 33: 11) என்று. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, மோசேயைப்போல நாமும் ஒரு நண்பனிடம் பேசுவதுபோல நமது ஜெபங்களில் தேவனை நோக்கி பேசி ஜெபிப்பதையே தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார்.  நமது அன்றாட வாழ்வில் தேவனது உடனிருப்பு நமக்கு மிகவும் தேவையான ஒன்றாக இருக்கின்றது. நமக்கு வாழ்வில் எதிர்காலத்தில் நடக்கப்போவது தெரியாது. பிரச்சனைகள், துன்பங்கள், சோகங்கள் நமது வாழ்வில் தொடரலாம். ஆனால் தேவனது கரம் நம்மோடு இருக்குமானால் நாம் பயப்படாமல் அவற்றை மேற்கொள்ள முடியும். அவரது உடனிருப்பு மட்டுமே நமக்கு ஆறுதலும் தேறுதலும் அளிக்க முடியும். 

தேவ சமுகம் நம்முன் செல்லவில்லையானால் நமக்கு எத்தனை பெரிய திறமைகளும் செல்வங்களும்  இருந்தாலும் நாம் முழுமையான வெற்றியைப் பெற முடியாது. எனவே, ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நாமும் தேவனது உடனிருப்பை உறுதிசெய்யவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

"தேவனே, இந்த நாளில் எனது வாழ்வில் நடக்கவேண்டிய பாதையில் என்னை நடத்தியருளும். இந்த நாளில் என்ன நடக்கபோகின்றது, என்னென்ன பிரச்சனைகள் வரப்போகின்றன என்று எனக்குத் தெரியவில்லை அப்பா. உமது பிரசன்னம் மாட்டும் என்னோடு இருந்தால் போதும். அப்போது நான் எனது இந்த நாளை தைரியமாகத் தொடருவேன். "என் சமுகம் உனக்கு முன்பாகச் செல்லும்" என்று மோசேயிடம் கூறினீரே என்னோடும் எனது குடும்பத்தோடும் உமது பிரசன்னம் இருந்து எங்களை வழிநடத்தட்டும்" என்று ஜெபிப்போம்.   

மெய்யான உணர்வுடன் நாம் ஜெபிக்கும்போது தேவனது உடனிருப்பு நமக்கு நிட்சயம் கிடைக்கும். தேவன் மனிதரிடையே வேற்றுமை  பாராட்டுபவரல்ல; எனவே, தேவன் மோசேக்குக்  கூறிய வார்த்தைகள் நம் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் சொந்தமானவை. தேவசமுகத்தை நாடும் ஒவ்வொருவரோடும் தேவன் இருப்பாராக; தேவ ஆசீர்வாதம் நம் அனைவரோடும்கூட இருப்பதாக.

AATHAVAN💚 January 22, 2025. 💚 Wednesday

"If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence." (Exodus 33:15)

The Israelites' journey towards Canaan was like being blindfolded in the wilderness. They faced challenges in meeting daily necessities, unforeseen conflicts, and wars with enemy kings. The Israelites were not trained warriors; confronting enemies required preparation for battle. However, God encouraged Moses by saying, "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." (Exodus 33:14)

In such uncertain circumstances, Moses responded to God’s assurance of His presence by saying, "If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence." Moses essentially conveyed, "Lord, I accept Your promise to be with us, but only if You are with us should we proceed from here; otherwise, let us remain here." He sought confirmation of God's promise.

The conversation between Moses and God is like a dialogue between two friends. This is reflected in Exodus 33:11, which states, "And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend."

Dearly beloved, like Moses, God desires us to converse with Him in prayer as we would with a close friend. His presence is essential in our daily lives. We do not know what the future holds—problems, sorrows, and challenges may lie ahead. Yet, with God's hand upon us, we can face them fearlessly. His presence alone provides comfort and strength.

Even with great talents and wealth, we cannot achieve complete success if God's presence does not go before us. Thus, we must affirm His presence daily.

Let us pray: "Lord, guide me along the path You have ordained for me today. I do not know what challenges or difficulties may arise. But, Father, Your presence alone is sufficient for me. With You by my side, I can face this day with courage. Just as You assured Moses, 'My presence shall go with thee,' may Your presence remain with me and my family. Lead us, O Lord."

When we pray with genuine faith, we can be assured of God's abiding presence. God is no respecter of persons; the promise He gave Moses belongs to each of us. May those who seek God's presence experience His guidance, and may His blessings remain upon us all.

Meditation Verse - 1 கொரிந்தியர் 10 : 9 / 1 Corinthians 10:9

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,444

'ஆதவன்' ஜனவரி 21, 2025. 💚செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"அவர்களில் சிலர் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைப்பார்த்து, பாம்புகளால் அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; அதுபோல நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைபாராதிருப்போமாக." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 10 : 9 )

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து விடுதலையாகி கானான்  சேசத்தை நோக்கி மோசேயால் வழிநடத்தப்பட்டபோது நடந்த சம்பவத்தை அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்களாகிய நமக்கு உதாரணமாக எடுத்துக்கூறி நாம் தேவனை சோதிக்கக்கூடாது எனும் கருத்தை வலியுறுத்துகின்றார். 

தேவன் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு வனாந்தரத்தில் தண்ணீரையும் இறைச்சியையும் மன்னாவையும் அளித்து வழிநடத்தினார். ஆனால் அவர்கள் அதனை அற்பமான உணவாக எண்ணிக்கொண்டனர்.  எகித்தில் அவர்கள் உண்டதுபோல அவர்களுக்கு திருப்தியளிக்கும் உணவாக அது தெரியவில்லை. எனவே அவர்கள் தேவனுக்கும் மோசேக்கும் விரோதமாகப் பேசினார்கள். இதனால் தேவன் அவர்களைக் கொள்ளிவாய்ப் பாம்புகளால் தண்டித்தார். இதனை நாம் எண்ணாகமம் நூலில்  பின்வருமாறு வாசிக்கின்றோம்:- 

"ஜனங்கள் தேவனுக்கும் மோசேக்கும் விரோதமாகப் பேசி: நாங்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே சாகும்படி நீங்கள் எங்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து வரப்பண்ணினதென்ன? இங்கே அப்பமும் இல்லை, தண்ணீரும் இல்லை; இந்த அற்பமான உணவு எங்கள் மனதுக்கு வெறுப்பாயிருக்கிறது என்றார்கள். அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் கொள்ளிவாய்ச் சர்ப்பங்களை ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே அனுப்பினார்; அவைகள் ஜனங்களைக் கடித்ததினால் இஸ்ரவேலருக்குள்ளே அநேக ஜனங்கள் செத்தார்கள்." ( எண்ணாகமம் 21 : 5, 6 )

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் இந்தச் சம்பவத்தை அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் நமக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாகக் கூறுகின்றார். அதாவது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் திருப்தியற்று தேவனைச் சோதித்ததுபோல நாம் கிறிஸ்துவைச் சோதிக்கக் கூடாது. அப்படிச் சோதிப்போமானால் நாமும்  அவர்கள் அழிவுற்றதுபோல அழிந்துபோவோம் என்கின்றார். 

இஸ்ரவேல்  மக்களுக்குத் தாங்கள்  அடிமைகளாக வாழ்ந்த எகிப்து வாழ்க்கை சிறப்பானதாகத் தெரிந்ததுபோல கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்து ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது சிலவேளைகளில் நமது பழைய வாழ்க்கை அனுபவங்கள் நமக்குச் சிறப்பானவைபோலத் தெரியலாம். கிறிஸ்துவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு வாழும்போது உலக மக்கள் அனுபவிப்பதுபோன்ற இன்பங்கள் நமக்கு கிடைக்காமலிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அதற்காக நாம் மனதினுள் முறுமுறுத்து வாழ்வோமானால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்களாக முடியாது. 

எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்த இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் தேவனைச் சோதித்தபோது பாம்புகளால்   அழிந்துபோயினர். இன்று அதுபோல நாம் கிறிஸ்துவைச் சோதித்து நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் திருப்தியற்று பழைய பாவ நாட்டங்களில் இன்பமுற்று வாழ்வோமானால் சாத்தான் எனும் வஞ்சக பாம்பு நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வைக் கெடுத்து அழித்துவிடுவான். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதனால்தான் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "அவர்களில் சிலர் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைப்பார்த்து, பாம்புகளால் அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; அதுபோல நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைபாராதிருப்போமாக." என்று நம்மை அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார். 

எந்த வேளையிலும் இஸ்ரவேலரைப்போல  நாம் பழைய வாழ்க்கையோடு நமது ஆவிக்குரிய புதிய வாழ்வை ஒப்பிட்டு பழைய வாழ்க்கை இப்போதைய வாழ்க்கையைவிட மேலானதாக இருந்தது என எண்ணாமலிருக்கவேண்டும். அப்படி எண்ணுவது கிறிஸ்துவைச் சோதிப்பதாகும். எனவே, அப்படி எண்ணாமல் நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வை ரசித்து வாழ்வதே தேவன் விரும்பும் செயலாக இருக்கின்றது.

Scripture Meditation - No: 1,444

AATHAVAN 💚 January 21, 2025, 💚 Tuesday

"Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents." (1 Corinthians 10:9, KJV)

The apostle Paul recounts the story of the Israelites’ journey from Egypt to Canaan, led by Moses, as an example and a warning for us. He emphasizes that we must not test God as the Israelites did.

God provided the Israelites with water, meat, and manna in the wilderness, yet they considered it trivial and unsatisfying compared to the food they ate in Egypt. Dissatisfied, they spoke against God and Moses. As a result, God sent fiery serpents to punish them, as recorded in Numbers:

"And the people spake against God, and against Moses, wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died." (Numbers 21:5-6, KJV)

In today’s meditation verse, Paul warns us not to repeat the mistakes of the Israelites. They tested God with their discontentment and perished. Similarly, if we test Christ, we too risk destruction.

Just as the Israelites viewed their life in bondage in Egypt as better than their journey to freedom, we may sometimes feel that our former sinful life was more pleasurable than our spiritual walk with Christ. While following Christ, we might lack the worldly pleasures others seem to enjoy. However, if we murmur and grumble about this in our hearts, we cannot please Christ.

When the Israelites tested God, fiery serpents brought destruction. Likewise, if we test Christ through discontentment and return to the pleasures of sin, Satan, the deceiver, can destroy our spiritual life.

Beloved, this is why Paul warns us, "Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents."

At no time should we compare our spiritual life with our former sinful life, considering the latter superior. Such thoughts are equivalent to testing Christ. Instead, we must delight in our spiritual walk, which is what God desires.

Meditation Verse - எரேமியா 8: 7 / Jeremiah 8:7

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,443

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 20, 2025. 💚திங்கள்கிழமை

"ஆகாயத்திலுள்ள நாரை முதலாய்த் தன் வேளையை அறியும்;  காட்டுப்புறாவும், கொக்கும், தகைவிலான் குருவியும்  தாங்கள்  வரத்தக்க காலத்தை அறியும்; என் ஜனங்களோ கர்த்தரின்  நியாயத்தை அறியார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று  சொல்." ( எரேமியா 8: 7) 

பறவைகளின் இடப்பெயர்வு பற்றி அறிவியல் பாடத்தில் நாம் படித்துள்ளோம். குளிர் பிரதேசத்துப் பறவைகள் சில குறிப்பிட்டக்  காலங்களில் வெப்பம் தேடி அந்த நாடுகளிலிருந்து இடம்பெயர்ந்து   இந்தியா போன்ற வெப்பநாடுகளுக்கு  வருவதுண்டு. அவை அங்கு கூடுகட்டி,  முட்டையிட்டு, குஞ்சுபொரித்து அவைகளை மீண்டும் தங்கள்  நாட்டிற்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லும். இடப்பெயர்வு செய்யும் பறவைகள் சுமார் ஐயாயிரம் ஆறாயிரம் கிலோமீட்டர் தூரம்  கடல்களைத் தாண்டி பறந்துச் செல்கின்றன. தங்களது சொந்த நாட்டில் குளிர் காலம் எப்போது ஆரம்பமாகும், அங்கிருந்து இடப்பெயர்வு செய்யும் நாட்டிற்குச் சென்றுசேர எவ்வளவு நாட்களாகும், என்ற கணக்குகள் அந்தப் பறவைகளுக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கின்றது. ஆம் அந்த ஞானத்தை தேவன் அவைகளுக்குக் கொடுத்துள்ளார். 

தான் படைத்த ஐந்தறிவு பறவைகளுக்கே இப்படிக் காலங்களைக் கணக்குப்பார்க்கத்தெரிந்திருக்கின்றதே ஆனால் ஆறறிவு கொடுத்திருந்தும் மனிதனுக்கு தேவனது நீதி நியாயங்கள் தெரியவில்லையே என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் தேவன் வேதனையுடன் குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்.

தேவன் மனிதர்களைத் தனது சொந்த சாயலிலும் ரூபத்திலும் படைத்தார் என்று நாம் வேதத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் வேறு எந்த உயிரினங்களையும் அவர் இப்படிப் படைக்கவில்லை. இப்படிச் சிறப்பானவனாக மனிதனைத் தேவன் படைத்திருந்தும்  மனிதர்களுக்குத் தேவனை அறியும் ஆர்வம் பொதுவாக இல்லாமலேயே இருக்கின்றது. உலகக் காரியங்களைப் பற்றி அறியக் காட்டும் ஆர்வத்தை மனிதர்கள் தேவனை அறியும் காரியங்களுக்குக் காட்டுவதில்லை. 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்துக்கு இணையாக தேவன் ஏசாயா மூலமும் கூறியுள்ளார், "மாடு தன் எஜமானையும், கழுதை தன் ஆண்டவனின் முன்னணையையும் அறியும்; இஸ்ரவேலோ அறிவில்லாமலும், என் ஜனம் உணர்வில்லாமலும் இருக்கிறது என்கிறார்". (ஏசாயா 1:3) என்று. ஆனால் இந்த உலகத்தில் ஆன்மீக வளர்ச்சிக்கு என்று மக்கள் அதிக ஆர்வம் காட்டுவதைப் பார்க்க முடிகின்றது. பல்வேறு ஆலயங்களைக் கட்டுவதைப் பார்க்க முடிகின்றது. ஆனால் இவை தேவன் விரும்பும் காரியங்களல்ல. 

தேவனை அறியாமல் இருந்துகொண்டு நாம் தனிப்பட்ட விதத்தில்  செய்யும் காரியங்கள் தேவ நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்துவதில்லை. தேவனை நாம் அறியும் போதுதான் தேவனது நீதியையும்  அறிய முடியும். எப்படி இயல்பிலேயே  காட்டுப்புறாவும், கொக்கும், தகைவிலான் குரு வியும்  தாங்கள் வரத்தக்க காலத்தை அறிகின்றனவோ அதுபோல தேவனை அறிவது நமது இயல்பான குணமாக மாறவேண்டும். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தேவனை அறியும் உணர்வுள்ளவர்களாக மாறவேண்டியது அவசியம். நமது வழிபாடுகளையோ, பக்தி முயற்சிகளையோ அல்ல, தேவனை அறியும் அறிவைப் பெறுவதையே தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு அவரோடு ஒப்புரவாகும்போது மட்டுமே அது  சாத்தியம். கிறிஸ்துவிடம் நமது பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்னிப்பு வேண்டுவோம். அப்போது இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள பறவைகள் தங்கள் வேளையையும் வரத்தக்க காலத்தையும்  அறிவதுபோல நாமும் அவரையும் அவரது நீதி நியாயங்களையும் அறிந்து அவருக்கேற்றபடி வாழமுடியும்.

Scripture Meditation - No: 1,443 

AATHAVAN💚 January 20, 2025, Monday 💚

"Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD." (Jeremiah 8:7, KJV)

In our science lessons, we learned about bird migration. Birds from cold regions migrate to warmer countries like India during specific seasons to escape the cold. They build nests, lay eggs, hatch chicks, and eventually return to their native lands with the young ones. Migratory birds travel incredible distances, crossing seas up to 5,000-6,000 kilometres. These birds instinctively know when winter begins in their homeland and how long it will take to reach their migration destination. This wisdom is God-given.

If such five-sense creatures can discern times and seasons, how is it that humans, endowed with six senses, fail to understand the judgments and justice of God? This is the lament of God in today’s meditation verse.

We read in the Bible that God created humans in His image and likeness. Unlike any other creature, humans hold this unique distinction. Yet, humans often lack the desire to know God. While they show great enthusiasm for worldly knowledge, the same enthusiasm is absent when it comes to understanding God.

In alignment with today’s verse, God declares through Isaiah: "The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider." (Isaiah 1:3, KJV)

However, we see people displaying interest in spiritual development by building magnificent temples and engaging in religious activities. But these are not the things that God truly desires.

Our personal efforts, devoid of knowing God, do not reflect His righteousness. Only by knowing God can we understand His justice and live according to it. Just as the turtle, crane, and swallow instinctively recognize their appointed times, knowing God should become a natural attribute of our lives.

Yes, dear friends, it is essential to become people who seek to know God. God desires not our rituals or devotional attempts but the knowledge of Him. This can happen only when our sins are forgiven, and we are reconciled to Him. Let us confess our sins to Christ and seek His forgiveness. Then, like the birds who know their appointed times, we too can know God, understand His justice, and live lives pleasing to Him.

"கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் பதினாயிரம் உபாத்தியாயர்கள் உங்களுக்கு இருந்தாலும், தகப்பன்மார் அநேகர் உங்களுக்கு இல்லையே; கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் சுவிசேஷத்தினால் நான் உங்களைப் பெற்றேன்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 4: 15)

இந்த உலகத்தில் நமக்கு பல்வேறு ஆசிரியர்கள் இருக்கலாம். நாம் முதலாம் வகுப்பு படித்ததுமுதல் கல்லூரிப் படிப்பை முடிக்கும்வரை சுமார் நூறுபேராவது நமக்கு ஆசிரியராக பல்வேறு பாடங்களை நடத்தியிருப்பார்கள். இதுதவிர நாம் பல்வேறு மறையுரைகளைக் கேட்டிருப்போம். அவர்களும் நமக்குக் கற்பித்த ஆசிரியர்களே. 

இப்படி நமக்குப் பல்வேறு ஆசிரியர்கள் நமது வாழ்வில் இருந்தாலும்  தகப்பன் என்பது நமக்கு ஒருவர் மட்டுமே இருக்க முடியும். நம்மைப் பெற்றவரை மட்டுமே நாம் அப்பா என்று கூறுவோம். இதனையே கொரிந்து சபை மக்களுக்கு அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் உவமையாகக் கூறுகின்றார். கிறிஸ்துவை அறியாத மக்களுக்கு கிறிஸ்துவை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியதால் ஆவிக்குரிய தகப்பனாக இங்கு அவர் தன்னைக் கூறிக்கொள்கின்றார். இதனையே, "கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் சுவிசேஷத்தினால் நான் உங்களைப் பெற்றேன்" என்கின்றார். 

ஒரு குழந்தைக்கு முன்மாதிரி அதன் பெற்றோரே. அதுபோல தான் ஆவிக்குரியத் தகப்பனாக இருப்பதால் கொரித்து சபை மக்கள் தகப்பனைப் பின்பற்றி நடக்கும் பிள்ளைகளைப்போலத்  தன்னைப் பின்பற்றவேண்டும் என்கின்றார். இந்த நாளுக்குரிய தியான வசனதைத்தொடர்ந்து இதனையே அவர் கூறுகின்றார்:- "ஆகையால், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களாகுங்களென்று உங்களுக்குப் புத்தி சொல்லுகிறேன்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 4: 16) என்று. 

கொரிந்தியருக்கு பவுல் எழுதியுள்ளது நமக்கு எப்படிப் பொருந்தும் என்று சிலர் எண்ணலாம். ஆனால் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர் இந்த நிருபத்தை கொரிந்து மக்களுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, நம் ஒவ்வொருவருக்காகவுமே எழுதியுள்ளார். இதனை இந்த நிருபத்தின் ஆரம்பத்தில் அவர்:-  ".........பரிசுத்தவான்களாகும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாயுமிருக்கிற தேவனுடைய சபைக்கும், எங்களுக்கும் தங்களுக்கும் ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிற நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தை எங்கும் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிற அனைவருக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது" (1 கொரிந்தியர் 1: 2) என்று கூறியுள்ளார். 

கிறிஸ்து இயேசு உலகில் நமக்கு முன்மாதிரியையான ஒரு வாழ்வை  வைத்துச் சென்றார்.  கிறிஸ்து தேவனது குமாரனாக இருந்ததால் அவர் தூய்மையாக  வாழ்ந்தார், நாம் சாதாரண மனிதர்கள் எனவே நாம் அவரைப்போல வாழமுடியாது என்று பலர் எண்ணலாம்.  ஆனால் ஆவியின் வல்லமை நமக்குள் செயல்பட இடம்கொடுப்போமானால் நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவைப்போல வாழ முடியும் என்பதற்கு அப்போஸ்த்தலரான பவுல் ஒரு உதாரணம். "நான் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுகிறதுபோல, நீங்கள் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களாயிருங்கள்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 11: 1) என்று துணிந்து கூறுகின்றார் அவர். இந்த வார்த்தைகளை வேறு எவராலும் கூற முடியாது. ஆம், எனவே நமது இலக்கும் இதுவாக இருக்கவேண்டும். நமது இலக்கு எப்போதும் மிக உயர்ந்ததாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

ஆயிரம் ஆசிரியர்கள் கற்பிக்க முடியாத காரியங்களை நாம் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலின் நிருபங்கள் மூலம் கற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியும். அதுபோல உலகத் தகப்பன்மார் வழிநடத்துவதைவிட மிகச் சிறப்பாக அவரது நிருபங்கள் நம்மை வழிநடத்த முடியும். அவரது 14 நிருபங்களையும்  (எபிரெயர் நிருபமும் அவர் எழுதியதே என்பது பல இறையியலாளர்களின்  கருத்து. மட்டுமல்ல, இதனை வாசிக்கும்போது நாம் அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பவுலின் இறையியலின் ஆழத்தை இதில் காண்கின்றோம்.  எனவேதான் 14 நிருபங்கள் என்று கூறுகின்றேன்) நாம் வாசித்து வாழ்வாக்கும்போது நமது இலக்கின் பாதியையாவது நாம் அடைவது உறுதி. அவரது நிருபங்களை ஜெபத்துடன் வாசிப்போம்; ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் அவரைப்பின்பற்றி அவரோடுகூட கிறிஸ்து காட்டிய வழியில் உறுதியாக நடப்போம்.

Bible Meditation - No. 1,442

AATHAVAN 💚 January 19, 2025. 💚 Sunday

"For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus, I have begotten you through the gospel." (1 Corinthians 4:15)

In this world, we may have many teachers. From the time we begin first grade to when we complete college, we may have had around a hundred teachers teaching us various subjects. Beyond this, we might have listened to numerous sermons, and those who preached were also our teachers.

Even though we have many teachers in life, we can only have one father. We call only the one who begot us our "father." This is the analogy Apostle Paul uses to address the Corinthian church. He describes himself as a spiritual father because he introduced them to Christ. He says, "For in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel."

A child naturally looks to its parents as role models. Similarly, Paul, as their spiritual father, urges the Corinthian believers to follow his example just as children follow their father. He reinforces this idea in the following verse: "Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me." (1 Corinthians 4:16)

Some might wonder how Paul's message to the Corinthians applies to us. However, Paul’s epistle was not only written to the Corinthian believers but to all of us. At the very beginning of this epistle, Paul clarifies: "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:" (1 Corinthians 1:2)

Jesus Christ lived as a perfect example for us in this world. Some may argue that Christ, being the Son of God, lived a holy life, but we, as ordinary humans, cannot live like Him. However, Apostle Paul stands as an example to prove that we, too, can live like Christ if we allow the power of the Spirit to work within us. Paul boldly says:

"Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." (1 Corinthians 11:1)

Such words can only come from someone deeply committed to their spiritual journey. This should inspire us to set a high goal for our lives. Our aim should always be lofty and rooted in Christ.

There are lessons we can learn from Paul’s epistles that no other teachers can impart. Just as spiritual guidance from earthly fathers cannot surpass the depth of Paul's writings, his teachings guide us to a higher calling. By reading and applying his 14 epistles (many theologians believe Paul also authored Hebrews, as it reflects the depth of his theological insights), we can move closer to reaching our spiritual goals.

Let us prayerfully study Paul’s writings, follow his example, and steadfastly walk the path Christ has shown us.

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 18, 2025. 💚சனிக்கிழமை

"தேவனோ இரக்கத்தில் ஐசுவரியமுள்ளவராய் நம்மில் அன்புகூர்ந்த தம்முடைய மிகுந்த அன்பினாலே, அக்கிரமங்களில் மரித்தவர்களாயிருந்த நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட உயிர்ப்பித்தார்; கிருபையினாலே இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்." ( எபேசியர் 2:4,5)

இன்று நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைப்பெற்று வாழ்கின்றோமென்றால் அதற்குக் காரணம் பிதாவாகிய தேவனது இரக்கமேயாகும். பல்வேறு அக்கிரம செயல்பாடுகளினாலும் பாவத்தின் பிடியிலும் சிக்கி பாவத்தினால் மரித்தவர்களாய் இருந்த நம்மை கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட உயிர்ப்பித்தார் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று தங்களைக் கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பலரைவிட நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழும் பலர் பிற மாதங்களில் உள்ளனர். ஆனால் எல்லா கிறிஸ்தவர்களும் நீதி வாழ்க்கை வாழும் பிற மதத்தினரும் இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெறவில்லை. நீதி வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்தாலும் அது மட்டும் இரட்சிப்பு அல்ல; அது மட்டும் ஒருவரை இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவம் பெறுவதற்கு உதவாது, மாறாக தேவனது கிருபையினால்தான் நாம் இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெறுகின்றோம். இதனால்தான்,  "நாம் செய்த நீதியின் கிரியைகளினிமித்தம் அவர் நம்மை இரட்சியாமல், தமது இரக்கத்தின்படியே, மறுஜென்ம முழுக்கினாலும், பரிசுத்த ஆவியினுடைய புதிதாக்குதலினாலும் நம்மை இரட்சித்தார்." (தீத்து 3:5) என்று அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கூறுகின்றார். 

அப்படியானால்,  நாம் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம் என்பதை எப்படி அறிந்துகொள்வது? அதற்குப் பல காரணிகளை நாம் கூறலாம். நமது உள்ளான மானிதனில் இதுவரை நாம் வாழ்ந்து வந்த வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து ஒரு மாறுதலை நாம் உணர்ந்து கொள்ளலாம்; நமது மனச்சாட்சி கூர்மையடைவதால்  இதுவரை பாவம் என்று நாம் உணராத பல காரியங்கள் பாவம் என்பதை நாம் உணர்ந்துகொள்வோம்; தேவன்மேல் அளப்பரிய பற்று ஏற்படுவதால் முன்பைவிட அவரை அதிகம் தேடுபவர்களாக, அவரது அன்பைத் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் உணர்ந்துகொள்பவர்களாக இருப்போம்; எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக நாம் அறிந்த தேவனை மற்றவர்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவேண்டுமென்ற ஆர்வம் நமக்குள் ஏற்படும்.  இவை சில உதாரணங்களே. 

மட்டுமல்ல, தேவனது கட்டளைகளை கடைபிடிப்பதிலும் அவற்றை அறிவதிலும் நமக்கு ஆர்வம்  மிகுதியாகும். நாம் அவரது கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்வதனால்  அவர் நம்மில் நிலைத்திருப்பதை நாம் உறுதியாக உணர்ந்துகொள்வோம்.  இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான்,  "அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் அவரில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறான், அவரும் அவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார்; அவர் நம்மில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறதை அவர் நமக்குத் தந்தருளின ஆவியினாலே அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்." (1 யோவான் 3:24) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

நாம் அதிகமான பக்திகாரியங்களில் ஈடுபடுவதால் நம்மை நாமே நியாயப்டுத்திக்கொள்ள முடியாது. பக்திச் செயல்பாடுகள் என்று செய்யும் சில சம்பிரதாய செயல்பாடுகள் எல்லாம் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையவையல்ல. தேவனைத்  தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் அறிந்து அவரை அன்பு செய்வதே மெய்யான மேலான பக்தி. அவரது கட்டளைகளை அறிந்து கீழ்படிவதே மேலான பக்தி. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, பிதாவாகிய தேவன் இரக்கத்தில் ஐசுவரியமுள்ளவராய் நம்மில் அன்புகூர்ந்த தம்முடைய மிகுந்த அன்பினாலே, அக்கிரமங்களில் மரித்தவர்களாயிருந்த நம்மைக் இப்படி கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட நம்மை உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றார்.  இது நமது சொந்த முயற்சியினாலல்ல, மாறாக அவரது  கிருபையினாலே தான். எனவே நாம் அவரது கிருபையைப் பெறுவதற்கு வேண்டுதல் செய்யவேண்டியது அவசியம். "கர்த்தாவே பாவியான அடியான்மேல் கிருபையாயிரும்" என்று உள்ளான மனதிலிருந்து வேண்டுதல் செய்வோம். தேவன் தனது கிருபையினால் நம்மை இரட்சிப்பினால் திருப்தியாக்குவார்.

Scripture Meditation – No: 1,441

AATHAVAN 💚January 18, 2025. 💚Saturday

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)" (Ephesians 2:4-5, KJV)

If today we live experiencing the salvation of Christ, it is solely because of the mercy of God the Father. Today's meditation verse reminds us that though we were dead in sins and entangled in various transgressions, God has quickened us together with Christ.

There are many in other faiths who live more righteous lives than those who call themselves Christians. However, living a righteous life alone does not bring salvation. Righteousness by itself cannot lead us to the experience of salvation. Instead, it is by the grace of God alone that we receive salvation. As Apostle Paul declares, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" (Titus 3:5, KJV)

How do we know that we are saved?

We can identify this through various indicators:

1. We sense a transformation in our inner being, moving away from our old way of life.
2. Our conscience becomes sharper, and we begin to recognize many things as sins that we had previously overlooked.
3. A boundless reliance on God emerges within us, leading us to seek Him more and experience His love personally.
4. Above all, we develop a strong desire to share the knowledge of God with others.

Additionally, we become more zealous about understanding and obeying God's commandments. Through obedience to His commands, we gain assurance that He abides in us. As Apostle John affirms, "And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us." (1 John 3:24, KJV)

It is important to remember that we cannot justify ourselves by simply engaging in religious activities. Ritualistic practices, often mistaken as acts of devotion, are not necessarily pleasing to God. True devotion lies in knowing God personally and loving Him wholeheartedly. Obedience to His commandments is the highest form of devotion.

Yes, beloved, God, who is rich in mercy, has loved us with His great love and quickened us together with Christ while we were dead in our transgressions. This is not by our own efforts but by His grace alone. Therefore, let us earnestly pray to receive His grace. From the depths of our hearts, let us cry out, "God, be merciful to me a sinner." (Luke 18:13, KJV)

When we sincerely seek Him, God, in His abundant grace, will satisfy us with His salvation.

Meditation Verse - 2 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 2: 11, 12 / 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,440

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 17, 2025. 💚வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"ஆகையால் சத்தியத்தை விசுவாசியாமல் அநீதியில் பிரியப்படுகிற யாவரும் ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாக்கப்படும் படிக்கு,  அவர்கள் பொய்யை விசுவாசிக்கத்தக்கதாகக் கொடிய வஞ்சகத்தைத் தேவன் அவர்களுக்கு அனுப்புவார்."  (2 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 2: 11, 12) 

இந்த உலகத்தில் மக்கள் பல்வேறு வஞ்சக எண்ணங்களால் நிறைந்திருக்கக் காரணம் அவர்கள் சத்தியத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மறுப்பதுதான் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

உண்மையினை உலகம் எளிதில் ஏற்றுக்கொளவதில்லை ஆனால் பொய்யினை எளிதில் நம்பிவிடுகின்றது. இப்படி பொய்யை நம்புவதால்தான் பல்வேறு ஏமாற்று காரியங்கள் உலகத்தில் நடைபெறுகின்றன. உதாரணமாக, அரசாங்கம் நிர்ணயித்துள்ள வட்டி விகிதங்களைவிட அதிக வட்டி தருவதாகக் கூறுவதால் பல்வேறு ஏமாற்று நிறுவனங்களில் மக்கள் தங்கள் பணத்தை முதலீடு செய்து ஏமாறுகின்றனர். இதுபோல பல்வேறு சைபர் குற்றங்கள் நடைபெறக் காரணம் பொய்யை நம்புவதால்தான். 

உண்மையினை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் அநீதியான காரியங்களில்  விருப்பம் காட்டுவதுதான் மனிதர்களின் இயல்பான குணமாக இருக்கின்றது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உலகத்தில் மனிதனாக வந்திருந்தபோதும் பலரும் அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை. இதற்குக் காரணம் என்ன என்பதனை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பின்வருமாறு கூறினார்:- "ஒளியானது உலகத்திலே வந்திருந்தும் மனுஷருடைய கிரியைகள் பொல்லாதவைகளாய் இருக்கிறபடியினால் அவர்கள் ஒளியைப்பார்க்கிலும் இருளை விரும்புகிறதே அந்த ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்புக்குக் காரணமாயிருக்கிறது." ( யோவான் 3: 19)

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் "சத்தியத்தை விசுவாசியாமல்" என்று கூறுகின்றது. அப்படியானால் எது சத்தியம் எனும் கேள்வி நமக்குள் எழுகின்றது. அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான் கூறுகின்றார், தேவனது வசனமே சத்தியம் என்று.  "உம்முடைய சத்தியத்தினாலே அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கும்; உம்முடைய வசனமே சத்தியம்." ( யோவான் 17: 17) ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனுடைய வசனமே சத்தியம்.  

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது, "அவர்கள் பொய்யை விசுவாசிக்கத்தக்கதாகக் கொடிய வஞ்சகத்தைத் தேவன் அவர்களுக்கு அனுப்புவார்" என்று. அதாவது, அவர்கள் உண்மையான தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாததால் தொடர்ந்து பொய்யிலேயே கெட்டுபோக்கத்தக்கதாக தேவன் அவர்களை இருளிலே நடக்கப்பண்ணுவார். 

மேலும் இப்படி உண்மையினை விசுவாசியாமல் நாம் இருப்போமானால் அது தேவனுடைய கோபத்தை நம்மேல் வருவிபத்தாக  இருக்கும். இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "சத்தியத்தை அநியாயத்தினாலே அடக்கிவைக்கிற மனுஷருடைய எல்லாவித அவபக்திக்கும் அநியாயத்துக்கும் விரோதமாய், தேவகோபம் வானத்திலிருந்து வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது." (ரோமர் 1:18) என்று கூறுகின்றார். அதாவது, உண்மையினை அறிய மனமில்லாமலும் உண்மையாக வாழ மனமில்லாமலும் தங்கள் அநியாயத்தினால் உண்மையினை அடக்கிவைக்கும் மனிதர்கள்மேல் தேவ கோபம் வெளிப்படும் என்கின்றார்.

ஆம்  அன்பானவர்களே, எனவே நாம் சத்தியமான தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளை அறிந்தவர்களாக, அவற்றை வாழ்வில்  கடைபிடிப்பவர்களாக  வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்படி வாழும்போது வாழ்வில் நமக்கு விடுதலையும் கிடைக்கும்.  "சத்தியத்தையும் அறிவீர்கள், சத்தியம் உங்களை விடுதலையாக்கும்". (யோவான் 8:32) என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.

"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)

Today's meditation verse emphasizes that the reason many are filled with deceptive thoughts is their refusal to accept the truth.

The world often rejects truth but easily embraces lies, which leads to numerous deceptions. For instance, people fall prey to fraudulent schemes promising higher interest rates than those offered by the government. Similarly, cybercrimes occur because of people's tendency to believe falsehoods.

Rejecting the truth and indulging in unrighteousness is a natural inclination of humanity. Even when Jesus Christ came into the world as a man, many did not accept Him. Jesus Himself explained why: "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)

The meditation verse says, "They believed not the truth." This raises the question:  What is truth? The apostle John declares that God's Word is truth: "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17)

Yes, dear ones, God's Word is the truth.

The meditation verse further states, "God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." This means that when people refuse to accept God's true Word, He allows them to remain in their deception and walk in darkness.

If we also fail to believe the truth, it will result in God's wrath upon us. The apostle Paul confirms this in his words: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." (Romans 1:18)

In essence, those who suppress the truth through their unrighteousness and refuse to know or live by the truth will face God's wrath.

Therefore, dear ones, as those who know the truth in God's Word, it is essential for us to live by it. When we do, we will experience true freedom in our lives, as Jesus said: "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32)
