பிசாசுகளின் விசுவாசம் / FAITH OF DEVILS

"தேவன் ஒருவர் உண்டென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறாய், அப்படிச் செய்கிறது நல்லதுதான்; பிசாசுகளும் விசுவாசித்து, நடுங்குகின்றன. வீணான மனுஷனே, கிரியைகளில்லாத விசுவாசம் செத்ததென்று நீ அறியவேண்டாமோ? ( யாக்கோபு 2 : 19, 20 )

நாம் அனைவருமே பொதுவாக தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கின்றோம். அப்படி விசுவாசிப்பதால்தான் ஆலயங்களுக்கு வருகின்றோம், தேவனுக்கு அஞ்சி சில காரியங்களைச் செய்யாமல் தவிர்க்கின்றோம், வேதாகமத்தை வாசிக்கின்றோம், அவரிடம் ஜெபிக்கின்றோம். இத்தகைய விசுவாசம் நல்லதுதான். ஆனால் இந்த விசுவாசம் மேலான விசுவாசமல்ல என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபு. 

காரணம், பிசாசுகளாலும் ஆலயங்களுக்கு வரமுடியும். தேவ சந்நிதியில் பிசாசுகளும் வந்து நின்றதை நாம் யோபு புத்தகத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம் (யோபு 1:6, மற்றும் யோபு 2:1).  இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவையே சோதித்தது சாத்தான். மேலும் நமக்குத் தெரிவதைவிட வேத வசனங்கள் பிசாசுகளுக்கு அதிகம் தெரியும். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை சாத்தான் சோதித்தபோது வேத வசனங்களையே பயன்படுத்தினான் (மத்தேயு 4:1-11) ஆனால், பிசாசுகள் இயேசுவைக் கண்டு நடுநடுங்கின. காரணம் பிசாசுகளுக்கு தேவனைப்பற்றியும் அவரது பரிசுத்தத்தைப் பற்றியும்  வல்லமை பற்றி அதிகம் தெரியும். காரணம் ஆதியில் அவரோடு இருந்து பின்னர் பாதாளத்தில் தள்ளப்பட்டவைகள்தான் பிசாசுகள் (எசேக்கியேல் 28).

எனவே, நாமும் வெறுமனே தேவனை நம்புகிறேன் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு சில பக்தி முயற்சிகளை மட்டும் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தால் போதாது. கிறிஸ்துவின்மேலுள்ள நமது விசுவாசத்தைச் செயலில் காண்பிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். இல்லையானால் கிறிஸ்துவை அறியாத மக்கள் பிற தெய்வங்களை வழிபடுவதுபோல நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவை வழிபடுபவர்களாகவே இருப்போம். 

கிறிஸ்துமேலுள்ள நமது விசுவாசம் செயலாக வெளிப்படும்போது நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவைப்போல மாறுகின்றோம்.   அதாவது கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் உண்மையான விசுவாசம் வைக்கும்போது நாம் நீதிசெயல்கள் செய்யாமல் அவர்மேல்வைக்கும் நமது விசுவாசத்தினால் பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுலை பெறுகின்றோம்; நீதிமானாக்கப் படுகின்றோம்.   பாவத்துக்கு விலகிடும் நாம் ஆவியின் பிரமாணத்துக்குள் வந்துவிடுகின்றோம்.  

இதனையே, "கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினாலே ஜீவனுடைய ஆவியின் பிரமாணம் என்னைப் பாவம் மரணம் என்பவைகளின் பிரமாணத்தினின்று விடுதலையாக்கிற்றே." ( ரோமர் 8 : 2 ) என்கின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர்.  அன்பானவர்களே, இத்தகைய அனுபவத்தைப் பெற்று கிறிஸ்துவுக்களுள் வாழ்வதுதான் விசுவாச வாழ்க்கை. வெறுமனே கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசிக்கிறேன் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு ஆலயங்களுக்குச் செல்வதல்ல; அவர் பாவத்திலிருந்து நம்மை விடுவிக்கிறார் எனும் விசுவாசம். 

இந்த விசுவாசமும் பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுதலையும்  பிசாசுகளுக்குக் கிடையாது. எனவேதான் இன்றைய வசனம், "தேவன் ஒருவர் உண்டென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறாய், அப்படிச் செய்கிறது நல்லதுதான்; பிசாசுகளும் விசுவாசித்து, நடுங்குகின்றன. வீணான மனுஷனே, கிரியைகளில்லாத விசுவாசம் செத்ததென்று நீ அறியவேண்டாமோ? என்று கேள்வி எழுப்புகின்றது. ஆம், நமது விசுவாசம் செயலாகவேண்டும்.

மேலும் இந்த விசுவாசச் செயல்கள் நம்மிடம் இல்லையானால் நாம் செத்தவிசுவாசம் கொண்டவர்கள் என்கின்றது வேதம். ஆம்,  "அப்படியே, ஆவியில்லாத சரீரம் செத்ததாயிருக்கிறதுபோல, கிரியைகளில்லாத விசுவாசமும் செத்ததாயிருக்கிறது." ( யாக்கோபு 2 : 26 ) எனவே உயிருள்ளவர்களாகிய நாம் நமது விசுவாசத்தைச் செயலில் காண்பிப்போம். அதற்கு, முதலில் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் ஆவியின் பிரமாணத்துக்குள் நம்மை உட்படுத்திக்கொள்வோம்.

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" ( James 2 : 19, 20 )

We all generally believe in God. It is because of that belief that we come to temples, avoid doing certain things out of fear of God, read the scriptures, and pray to Him. Such faith is good. But this faith is not the greatest faith, says the apostle, James.

The reason is that even devils can visit temples. We read in the book of Job that devils also stood in the presence of God (Job 1:6, and Job 2:1). Satan tested Jesus Christ. And devils know more about the scriptures than we do. When Satan tested Jesus Christ, he used the same scriptures (Matthew 4:1-11), but the devils trembled when they saw Jesus. Because devils know too much about God and His holiness and power. Because the devils were the ones who were with him in the beginning and then cast into hell (Ezekiel 28).

Therefore, it is not enough for us to simply claim to believe in God and make some devotional efforts. It is necessary to show our faith in Christ in action. Otherwise, we will be worshipers of Christ just as people who do not know Christ worship other gods.

When our faith in Christ is manifested in action, we become like Christ. That is, when we have true faith in Christ, we are freed from sin by our faith in Him without doing righteous deeds; We are justified. When we turn away from sin, we come into the covenant of the Spirit.

"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." (Romans 8: 2) Paul the apostle said. Beloved, having such an experience and living in Christ is the life of faith. Not just going to church claiming to believe in Christ; Faith that He frees us from sin.

Devils do not have this faith and freedom from sin. That is why today's verse asks, "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?". Yes, our faith must be manifested in our actions.

And if we do not have this faith, the scriptures say that we have dead faith. Yes, "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (James 2: 26) So we who are alive will show our faith in action. For that, let us first put ourselves under the covenant of the Spirit of Christ Jesus.

பெருந்திண்டி / GLUTTONY

ஆதவன் 🔥 928🌻 ஆகஸ்ட் 13, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"உங்கள் இருதயங்கள் பெருந்திண்டியினாலும் வெறியினாலும் லவுகீக கவலைகளினாலும் பாரமடையாதபடிக்கும், நீங்கள் நினையாத நேரத்தில் அந்த நாள் உங்கள்மேல் வராதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்." ( லுூக்கா 21 : 34 )

தனது இரண்டாம் வருகையினைக்குறித்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியவையே இன்றைய தியான வார்த்தைகள். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது இரண்டாம் வருகைக்குச் சில முன்னடையாளங்களை  மக்களுக்கு எடுத்துக் கூறினார். அப்படிக் கூறிவிட்டு இறுதியில் இன்றைய வசனத்தைக் கூறினார். 

இந்த வசனம் பெருந்திண்டி , அதாவது உணவுமேல் அளவுக்கதிக ஆசைகொண்டு உண்பது. அதிக ஆசைகொண்டு உணவுக்காக ஓடுவது. போஜனப்பிரியம் என்று இதனைக் கூறுவர்.  அடுத்து, வெறிகொள்ளுதல்  (குடிவெறி, காமவெறி, போன்றவெறிகொள்ளுதல்)  மூன்றாவது,  உலக ஆசைகளை எண்ணி அவைகளுக்காக மட்டுமே ஓடுவதும் கவலைகொண்டு அலைவதும். இவைபோன்ற காரியாக்களில் நாம் ஈடுபட்டிருப்போமானால் நாம் நினையாத நேரத்தில் அவரது வருகை இருக்கும். அதனால் இவைபோன்ற காரியங்களில் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள் என்கின்றார். அதாவது, இவைகளைத் தவிர்த்து வாழ்வோருக்கு அவர் தனது வருகைக்குமுன் அறிவிப்புக் கொடுப்பார். 

இன்று சில விருந்துகளில்  உணவுக்காக சிலர் அளவுக்கதிக ஆசைகொண்டு ஓடுவதையும் கிடைத்தவை அனைத்தையும் உண்டுவிடவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புவதையும் நாம் காணலாம். காரணம் பெருந்திண்டி எனும் போஜனப்பிரியம். இது பெரிய பாவங்களில் ஒன்றாக வேதத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்படுகின்றது.

ஆண்டவரது வருகையைக் குறித்து அதிகம் வெளிப்படுத்தியவர் தானியேல் தீர்க்கத்தரிசி. இந்தத்  தானியேல் இயேசு கூறியதுபடி உணவு விஷயத்தில் கவனமாக இருந்தார். பாபிலோன் ராஜா தான் உண்ணும் ராஜ உணவுகளை தானியேலுக்கும் அவரது மூன்று நண்பர்களுக்கும்  அளிக்க முன்வந்தும் தானியேலும் அவரது நண்பர்களும் அவைகளை மறுத்து பருப்பும் காய்கறி உணவுமே தங்களுக்குப் போதும் என்று உணவு விஷயத்தில் அடக்கமாக இருந்தார்கள்.  இதனை, "தானியேல் ராஜாவின் போஜனத்தினாலும் அவர் பானம்பண்ணும் திராட்சரசத்தினாலும் தன்னைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தலாகாதென்று, தன் இருதயத்தில் தீர்மானம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டு, தன்னைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தாதபடி பிரதானிகளின் தலைவனிடத்தில் வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்." ( தானியேல் 1 : 8 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

அப்படி அவர்கள் சாதாரண உணவுகளை உண்டபோதும் ராஜ உணவினை உண்டவர்களைவிட முகக்களையும் உடல் செழுமையம் உள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.  ஆம், "பத்துநாள் சென்றபின்பு, ராஜபோஜனத்தைப் புசித்த எல்லா வாலிபரைப்பார்க்கிலும் அவர்கள் முகம் களையுள்ளதாயும், சரீரம் புஷ்டியுள்ளதாயும் காணப்பட்டது." ( தானியேல் 1 : 15 )

அன்பானவர்களே, ராஜ உணவினையும்  திராட்சை ரசத்தையும் தவிர்த்து உலக ஆசை இச்சைகளைத் தவிர்த்து பரிசுத்தமாய்த் தன்னைக் காத்துக்கொண்ட தானியேலுக்கு பல மறைபொருட்களைத் தேவன் வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.  "இந்த நாலு வாலிபருக்கும் தேவன் சகல எழுத்திலும் ஞானத்திலும் அறிவையும் சாமர்த்தியத்தையும் கொடுத்தார்; தானியேலைச் சகல தரிசனங்களையும் சொப்பனங்களையும் அறியத்தக்க அறிவுள்ளவனாக்கினார்." ( தானியேல் 1 : 17 )

இதனையே இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இன்றைய வசனத்தில் நமக்கும் அறிவுரையாகக் கூறுகின்றார். "உங்கள் இருதயங்கள் பெருந்திண்டியினாலும் வெறியினாலும் லவுகீக கவலைகளினாலும் பாரமடையாதபடிக்குக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்று.  அப்போது கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகைக்கு நாம் தகுதியுள்ளவர்கள் ஆவதுமட்டுமல்ல, வருகை குறித்த எச்சரிப்பையும் முன்னமே பெறுவோம்.   கர்த்தரது வார்தைக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பது நமது ஆத்துமாவுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, உடல் ஆரோக்கியத்துக்கும் ஏற்றதாயிருக்கிறது. மருத்துவர்களும் இன்று உணவைக் குறைத்து வாழ்வது ஆரோக்கியம் என்றுதான் கூறுகின்றனர். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து நமது ஆத்துமாவையும் உடலையும் காத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares." ( Luke 21 : 34 )

Today's meditation words are what Jesus Christ said about his second coming. Jesus Christ gave the people some signs of his second coming. After saying that, he finally said today's verse.

This verse says if we are engaged in such things like gluttony, which means overeating, craving and running for food, that is food addiction, infatuation (drunkenness, lasciviousness, infatuation) and third, running and worrying about worldly desires His visit will come at a time when we do not think. So be careful in such things. That is, He will give notice before His coming to those who live apart from these.

In some parties today we can see some people running with excessive desire for food and wanting to eat all that is available. The reason is gluttony. It is mentioned in the Bible as one of the major sins.

The prophet Daniel was the one who revealed the most about the second coming of the Lord. This Daniel was careful about food as Jesus said. The king of Babylon offered to give Daniel and his three friends royal food that he would eat, but Daniel and his friends refused them and were humble in the matter of food saying that only vegetable and dhal food was enough for them. "But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself." ( Daniel 1 : 8 ) we read.

Even when they ate ordinary food, their faces and bodies were richer than those who ate royal food. Yes, "And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat." (Daniel 1: 15)

Beloved, God revealed many hidden things to Daniel who kept himself holy by avoiding royal food and wine and avoiding worldly desires. "As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams." ( Daniel 1 : 17 )

This is what Jesus Christ advises us in today's verse. Take heed that lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. If we live a life like that, then we will not only be qualified for the coming of Christ, but we will also receive a forewarning of the coming. Listening to God's word is good not only for our soul but also for our physical health. Doctors today also say that eating less is healthy.

Let us listen to the words of Jesus Christ and protect our soul and body.

வல்லமைமிக்கக் கரங்கள் / MIGHTY HANDS

ஆதவன் 🔥 927🌻 ஆகஸ்ட் 12, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"உன் தேவனாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தராகிய நான் உன் வலதுகையைப் பிடித்து: பயப்படாதே, நான் உனக்குத் துணைநிற்கிறேன் என்று சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( ஏசாயா 41 : 13 )

பல்வேறு இக்கட்டுகள் துன்பங்கள் நம்மை வாட்டும்போது நமக்கு ஆறுதல் தரும் தேவ வார்த்தைகள் வேதத்தில் பலவுண்டு. இந்த வார்த்தைகள் ஒரு தகப்பனும் தாயும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஆறுதலும் தேறுதலும் தருவதுபோல் நமக்கு மன அமைதியைத் தருகின்றன.  இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனம் அத்தகையதே. 

சிறு குழந்தைகளை அழைத்துச் செல்லும்போது தாயோ தகப்பனோ அவற்றின் கைகளைப்பிடித்துக் கூட்டிச் செல்வார்கள். அந்தக் குழந்தைகளுக்கு அது மிகப்பெரிய பாதுகாப்பு உணர்வினைத் தரும். அன்பானவர்களே, பிரச்சனைகள், பாடுகள், துன்பங்களைக்கண்டு அஞ்சவேண்டாம். "நான் உன் வலதுகையைப் பிடித்து: பயப்படாதே, நான் உனக்குத் துணைநிற்கிறேன்" என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துச் செய்த அற்புத அதிசயங்களை எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள். அந்த வல்லமைமிக்க கைகள் வெறுமையான தண்ணீரை சுவையான திராட்சை ரசமாக மாற்றிய கைகள். குருடர், செவிடர்கள், முடவர்களை   சுகமாக்கிய கைகள், பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்திய அதிகாரமிக்கக் கைகள். மரித்தவர்களை உயிருடன் எழுப்பியகைகள், ஐந்து அப்பங்களால் ஐயாயிரம் மக்களுக்கு பசியாற்றியகைகள். துன்பத்தால் சோர்ந்துபோன மக்களை அரவணைத்த அன்புக்கைகள். அந்தக் கைகளால் நமது வலது கையைப் பிடித்து அவர் நம்மை நடத்துவேன் என்கின்றார்.  

"யாக்கோபு என்னும் பூச்சியே, இஸ்ரவேலின் சிறுகூட்டமே, பயப்படாதே; நான் உனக்குத் துணைநிற்கிறேன் என்று கர்த்தரும் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தருமாகிய உன் மீட்பர் உரைக்கிறார்." ( ஏசாயா 41 : 14 ) ஆம், தேவனின் பார்வையில் நாமெல்லோரும் அற்பமான பூச்சி போன்றவர்கள். மக்கள் மத்தியில் நாம் ஒரு சிறு கூட்டமே. இந்திய மக்கள்தொகையில் நாம் வெறும் 2% தான். நம்மைப்பார்த்துத் தேவன் இந்த வசனங்களால் ஆறுதல் தருகின்றார்.

அற்பமான நமது கைகளைப் பிடித்து நடத்துவது மட்டுமல்ல, அப்படி அவர் நடத்தும்போது நாம் வலுவுள்ளவர்களாகின்றோம். அவர் வெறுமனே நமது கைகளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கவில்லை. மாறாக, "இதோ, போரடிக்கிறதற்கு நான் உன்னைப் புதிதும் கூர்மையுமான பற்களுள்ள இயந்தரமாக்குகிறேன்; நீ மலைகளை மிதித்து நொறுக்கி, குன்றுகளைப் பதருக்கு ஒப்பாக்கிவிடுவாய்." ( ஏசாயா 41 : 15 ) என்கின்றார் பரிசுத்தரான கர்த்தர். எனவே நம்மை எவரும் எதிர்த்து நிற்க முடியாது.

ஆனால் நாம் கவனிக்கவேண்டியது ஒன்று உண்டு. திருவிழாக்களுக்கோ கண்காட்சிகளுக்கோ குழந்தைகளை கைகளை பிடித்து அழைத்துச்செல்லும்போது சிலவேளைகளில் அங்கு இருக்கும் விளையாட்டுப் பொருட்களைப்பார்த்து அவை வேண்டுமென்று குழந்தைகள் அடம்பிடித்து அழும். வாங்கிக்கொடுக்காவிட்டால் என்ன சொன்னாலும் கேட்காது. சிலவேளைகளில் நமது கைகளை உதறிவிட்டு தரையில் உட்கார்ந்து அந்தப் பொருளை வாங்கித் தராவிட்டால்  வரமாட்டேன் என்று அடம்பிடிக்கும். நாமும் இதுபோலவே சிலவேளைகளில் உலக இச்சைகளுக்காக தேவ கரத்தை உதறிவிடுகின்றோம்.

தேவனது கரம்பிடித்து நடக்கும்போது நம்மை அவருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து அவரது காலம் வரும்வரைக் காத்திருக்கவேண்டியதும் அவசியம். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு, "ஆகையால், ஏற்றகாலத்திலே தேவன் உங்களை உயர்த்தும்படிக்கு, அவருடைய பலத்த கைக்குள் அடங்கியிருங்கள்." ( 1 பேதுரு 5 : 6 ) எனக் கூறுகின்றார்.

அன்பானவர்களே, குடும்பத்திலோ, ஊரிலோ, நமது சமூகத்திலோ ஒருவேளை நாம் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக, மதிப்பில்லாதவர்களாக  இருக்கலாம். அல்லது உலகத் துன்பங்கள், நோய்கள் நம்மை நெருக்கிச் சோர்வடையச் செய்திருக்கலாம், ஆனால் நாம் அஞ்சிடவேண்டாம். அண்டசராசரங்களையே படைத்து  ஆளும் வல்லமைமிக்க தேவ கரம் நம்மைப் பிடித்துள்ளது எனும் விசுவாசத்தோடு நமது வாழ்வைத் தொடருவோம்.  

"பயப்படாதே, நான் உனக்குத் துணைநிற்கிறேன் என்று சொல்லுகிறேன்." என்கிறார் உன்னதமான தேவன்.

"For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." 

There are many words of God in the scriptures that comfort us when we are afflicted by various difficulties. These words give us peace of mind as a father and mother comfort children. Such is the verse for today's meditation.

When picking up small children, the mother or father would hold their hands and lead them along. It gives the children a great sense of security. Beloved, don't be afraid of troubles, sorrows, sufferings. "I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee " says the Lord Jesus Christ.

Consider the miracles performed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Those mighty hands were the hands that turned the ordinary water into delicious wine. The hands that healed the blind, the deaf, the lame, the powerful hands that cast out devils. Those hands raised the dead and fed five thousand people with five loaves. Embraced people exhausted by suffering. Yes, that mighty hands will hold our right hand and lead us.

"Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel." (Isaiah 41: 14 ) Yes, in the eyes of God we are all like a small insects. We are a small group among the nation. We are just 2% of India's population. God comforts us with these verses.

Not only does He hold our small hands and lead us, we become strong when He does so. He is not simply holding our hands. Rather, "Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff." (Isaiah 41: 15 ) says the Holy Lord. So, no one can stand against us.

But there is one thing we need to notice. When child is taken by us to festivals or fairs, sometimes the child wants to have certain toys and cry. If you do not give it, they will not listen to anything. Sometimes the child sat on the floor wringing our hands and refuse to come with us if we do not buy the item. Like this, we also sometimes leave God's hand for worldly desires.

When walking with God's hand, it is necessary to surrender ourselves to Him and wait for His time to come. That is why the apostle Peter said, "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time" ( 1 Peter 5 : 6 ).

Beloved, perhaps in our family, in our town, in our community, we are neglected and unappreciated. Or worldly sufferings and diseases may have overwhelmed us and made us tired, but we should not be afraid. Let us continue our life with the faith that the mighty hand of God who created and rules the universe is holding us.

தேவனுடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள் / GOD'S PROMISES

ஆதவன் 🔥 926🌻 ஆகஸ்ட் 11, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"எங்களால் தேவனுக்கு மகிமையுண்டாகும்படி, தேவனுடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களெல்லாம் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் ஆம் என்றும், அவருக்குள் ஆமென் என்றும் இருக்கிறதே." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 1 : 20 )

வேதாகமத்தில் சுமார் மூவாயிரத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள் உள்ளன. இவை அனைத்துமே தேவன் மனிதர்களுக்கு அளித்தவை. வாக்குமாறா தேவனைப்போல இந்த வசனங்களும் மாறாதவை. ஆனால் நம்மில் பலரும் இந்த தேவ வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள் பலன் தருமா எனும் சந்தேகத்தோடுஇருக்கின்றோம். அல்லது சிலவேளைகளில் நம்மில் தெளிவில்லாததால் இந்த தேவ வார்த்தைகளை மேம்போக்காக நம்பி அவை நம்மில் பலிக்காததால் சோர்ந்துபோய்விடுகின்றோம். 

 தேவனுடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களெல்லாம் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் ஆம் என்று இருக்கின்றது என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. அதாவது அவை பொய் சொல்வதில்லை. பின் ஏன் இவை நமது வாழ்வில் பலிப்பதில்லை?

அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் மாறாதவர்தான்; ஆனால் நாம்தான் அந்த வாக்குத்தத்தங்களை சுதந்தரிக்கத் தகுதியில்லாதவர்களா பலவேளைகளில் மாறிவிடுகின்றோம். இதற்குக் காரணம் நாம் வேதாகமத்தை  நமக்கு ஏற்றபடி நமக்கேற்ற சிந்தனையில் வாசிப்பதுதான். 

எல்லா தேவ வாக்குறுதிகளுமே ஒரு நிபந்தனையுடன்தான் இருக்கும். வேதாகமத்தை வாசிக்கும்போது அந்த நிபந்தனை வாக்குறுதி வசனத்தின் முன்போ அல்லது பின்னரோ வரும். ஆனால் நாம் அந்த நிபந்தனைகளை மறந்துவிட்டு அல்லது தவிர்த்துவிட்டு  வாக்குறுதிகளை மட்டும்  பற்றிக்கொள்கிறோம். 

உதாரணமாக, "நீ உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் ஒருவனும் உனக்கு முன்பாக எதிர்த்து நிற்பதில்லை; நான் மோசேயோடே இருந்ததுபோல, உன்னோடும் இருப்பேன்; நான் உன்னைவிட்டு விலகுவதுமில்லை, உன்னைக் கைவிடுவதுமில்லை." ( யோசுவா 1 : 5 ) எனும் தேவ வாக்குறுதியை நம்மில் பலரும் நமது ஜெபங்களில் மேற்கோள்காட்டி ஜெபிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் இதற்கு இரண்டு வசனங்களுக்குப்பின் ஒரு நிபந்தனை கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

"என் தாசனாகிய மோசே உனக்குக் கற்பித்த நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படியெல்லாம் செய்யக் கவனமாயிருக்கமாத்திரம் மிகவும் பலங்கொண்டு திடமனதாயிரு; நீ போகும் இடமெல்லாம் புத்திமானாய் நடந்துகொள்ளும்படிக்கு, அதை விட்டு வலது இடதுபுறம் விலகாதிருப்பாயாக." ( யோசுவா 1 : 7 ) அதாவது மோசே உனக்குக் கற்பித்த நியாயப்பிரமாண வார்த்தைகளின்படி நடந்தால் உனக்கு இந்த வாக்குறுதி பலிக்கும் என்கிறார் தேவன். 

புதிய ஏற்பாட்டிலும் விசுவாசம் எனும் நிபந்தனை பல வாக்குறுதிகளுக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.  "கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவை நீ உன் வாயினாலே அறிக்கையிட்டு, தேவன் அவரை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுப்பினாரென்று உன் இருதயத்திலே விசுவாசித்தால் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவாய்.நீதியுண்டாக இருதயத்திலே விசுவாசிக்கப்படும், இரட்சிப்புண்டாக வாயினாலே அறிக்கைபண்ணப்படும்." ( ரோமர் 10 : 9, 10 ) 

ஆனால் இந்த வசனத்தின்படி "கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசிக்கிறேன்' என்று கூறும் அனைவரும் இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெறுவதில்லை. காரணம், அவர்கள் முழு மனதுடன் அறிக்கையிடாமல் வெறுமனே இயேசுவை விசுவாசிக்கிறேன் என்று கூறிவிட்டு இதர மனிதர்கள், புனிதர்கள், சூழ்நிலைகளின்மேல் நம்பிக்கைவைக்கின்றனர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தேவ வார்த்தைகளுக்கும் அவைகூறும் நிபந்தனைகளுக்கும்  முற்றிலும் உட்படும்போது மட்டுமே தேவனுடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களெல்லாம் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் ஆம் என்றும், அவருக்குள் ஆமென் என்றும் இருந்து நமக்குப் பலிக்கும்.

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."  (2 Corinthians 1: 20)

There are over three thousand promises in the Bible. All these are given by God to humans. These verses are immutable like God. But many of us are in doubt whether these God's promises will bear fruit. Or sometimes, because we are not clear, we superficially believe in these God's words and get tired because they do not work in us.

Today's verse says that all the promises of God are yes in Jesus Christ. That means they do not lie. Then why these do not work in our life?

Beloved, God is unchanging; But we often turn out to be the ones who are not worthy to inherit those promises. This is because we read the scriptures in our own way of thinking.

All God's promises are conditional. When reading the scriptures that condition comes before or after the promise verse. But we forget or ignore those conditions and cling only to promises.

For example, "There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." (Joshua 1: 5). Many of us quote this God's promise in our prayers. But a condition is given after two verses.

"Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1: 7) That is, God says that if you follow the words of the law that Moses taught you, this promise will work for you.

Faith is also a condition of many promises in the New Testament. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10: 9, 10)

But according to this verse, not everyone who says "I believe in Christ" experiences salvation, because they simply say they believe in Jesus instead of confessing wholeheartedly and trusting in other men, saints, and circumstances.

Beloved, only when we fully submit to God's words and their conditions will all God's promises will be our yes in Jesus Christ and Amen in him.

அவர் நமக்கு மாதிரி / HE MODELLED FOR US

ஆதவன் 🔥 925🌻 ஆகஸ்ட் 10, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை

"நான் என் பிதாவினிடத்தில் கண்டதைச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிதாவினிடத்தில் கண்டதைச் செய்கிறீர்கள்." ( யோவான் 8 : 38 )

மேசியாவை எதிர்பார்த்திருந்த யூதர்கள் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை மேசியாவாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை. இயேசு  கிறிஸ்து பிதாவாகிய தேவனிடம் தான் கண்டதையும் கேட்டதையும் மக்களுக்கு அறிவித்தார். ஆனால் யூதர்கள் பலரும் அவரது போதனையினை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் தங்களது துன்மார்க்க செயல்களிலேயே நிலைத்திருந்தனர். 

எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அவர்களிடம், "நான் என் பிதாவினிடத்தில் கண்டதைச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிதாவினிடத்தில் கண்டதைச் செய்கிறீர்கள்." என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.  யூதர்களுக்குத் தங்களை ஆபிரகாமின் புதல்வர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்வதில் ஒரு பெருமை இருந்தது. ஆனால் அவர்கள் செயல்கள் ஆபிரகாமின் செயல்கள்போல இல்லை.  

அவர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் உண்மையில்லாதவர்களாக, கொலைபாதக எண்ணமுடையவர்களாக  இருந்தனர். எனவேதான் அவர்களைப்பார்த்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறினார். "நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிதாவாகிய பிசாசானவனால் உண்டானவர்கள்; உங்கள் பிதாவினுடைய இச்சைகளின்படி செய்ய மனதாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; அவன் ஆதிமுதற்கொண்டு மனுஷ கொலைபாதகனாயிருக்கிறான்; சத்தியம் அவனிடத்திலில்லாதபடியால் அவன் சத்தியத்திலே நிலைநிற்கவில்லை." ( யோவான் 8 : 44 )

பிசாசு "பொய்யனும் பொய்க்குப்பிதாவுமாயிருக்கிறபடியால் அவன் பொய்பேசும்போது தன் சொந்தத்தில் எடுத்துப் பேசுகிறான்." ( யோவான் 8 : 44 ) என்று கூறினார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அன்பானவர்களே, நாமும் இன்று நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டாலும் நமது செயல்களையும் எண்ணங்களையும் அவர் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார். பொய்யும் மனித கொலைபாதக எண்ணங்களும் நமக்குள் இருக்குமானால் நாமும் பிசாசின் மக்களே. 

நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் வாழ்கின்றோமென்றால்  இயேசு தனது  பிதாவினிடத்தில் கண்டதைச் சொல்லுவதைப்போல நாமும் நமது தந்தையாகிய கிறிஸ்துவிடம் கண்டத்தைச் சொல்வோம். அவர் செய்ததுபோலவே செய்வோம். அதுவே சாட்சியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை.

அன்பானவர்களே, நமது பேச்சையும், செயல்களையும் எண்ணிப்பார்ப்போம். நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை ஆராதிக்கின்றோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு பொய்யும் பித்தலாட்டமுமான வாழ்க்கை வாழ்கின்றோமென்றால் நாம் இவற்றுக்குத் தகப்பனாகிய பிசாசானவனால் பிறந்தவர்கள். 

கிறிஸ்து எப்படித் தனது தந்தையிடம் கேட்டதையும் கண்டதையும் பூமியில் செய்தாரோ அதுபோல நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றவே அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். எனவே அவர் நமக்கு மாதிரி காட்டியபடி வாழ்வோம்.

"I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father." ( John 8 : 38 )

The Jews who were expecting the Messiah did not accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Jesus Christ declared to the people what he had seen and heard from God the Father. But many of the Jews did not accept his teaching and continued in their wicked ways.

That is why Jesus Christ said to them, "I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father." The Jews had a pride in claiming to be children of Abraham. But their deeds were not like the deeds of Abraham.

They were often untruthful and murderous. That is why Jesus Christ said to them. "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. " John 8 : 44 )

"…because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." ( John 8 : 44 ) said Jesus Christ. Beloved, even if we claim to be Christians today, He is watching our actions and thoughts. If we have lies and murderous thoughts in us, we are also the devil's sons and daughters.

If we live in Christ, we will speak like our Father Christ, who spoke what He saw in his Father. Let us do as he did. That is the life of witness.

Beloved, let us consider our words and actions. If we claim to worship Christ and live a life of lies and hypocrisy, we are born of the father of these things, the devil.

We are called to follow Christ just as He did what He heard and saw from His Father on earth. So, let us live as he modelled for us.

மாறாத கிறிஸ்து/ UNCHANGED CHRIST

ஆதவன் 🔥 924🌻 ஆகஸ்ட் 09, 2023 புதன்கிழமை

"இயேசுகிறிஸ்து நேற்றும் இன்றும் என்றும் மாறாதவராயிருக்கிறார்." ( எபிரெயர் 13 : 8 )

இன்றைய வசனம் நாம் அடிக்கடி கேட்டுப் பழக்கப்பட்ட வசனம். ஆனால் இந்த வசனத்தை விசுவாசிக்கும்போது நம்மில் அது மிகப்பெரிய மாற்றத்தினைக் கொண்டுவரும். நான் இந்த வசனத்தை விசுவாசித்து மன உறுதியும் ஆறுதலும் அடைந்துள்ளேன். 

நேற்று, அதாவது பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக் காலத்தில் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து செயலாற்றிய வல்லமையின் செயல்களை எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள். ஆபிரகாம், மோசே, யோசுவா, தாவீது இன்னும் பலருடன் இருந்து அவர் வல்லமையாய்ச், சேனைகளின் கர்த்தராய் இருந்து செயல்பட்டார்.  அப்போஸ்தலர்களுடன் இருந்து   அவர் வல்லமையாய்ச் செயல்பட்டதை அப்போஸ்தலர்ப்பணி புத்தகத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம்.  அந்த கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நேற்று எப்படி அவர்களுடன் இருந்து செயல்பட்டாரோ அப்படியே இன்றும் மாறாதவராக இருக்கின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, இந்த வசனத்தை உறுதியாய் நம்பி அவரிடம் நாம் உரிமையுடன் வேண்டலாம். நேற்று உள்ளதுபோலவே மாறாதவராக அவர் இருப்பதால் இன்றும் நம்மில் அவர் அதேபோலச் செயல்புரியமுடியும். இன்று மட்டுமல்ல, என்றும் அவர் மாறாதவர் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. நமதுகுழந்தைகள், பேரக்குழந்தைகளோடும் அவர் இருந்து நேற்று செய்ததுபோன்ற வழிநடத்துதலையும் அற்புதங்களையும் செய்ய முடியும்.  

என்னை ஆரம்பகாலத்தில் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் வழிநடத்திய பாஸ்டர் ஜான்சன் டேவிட் அவர்கள் தேவன் அழைத்த அழைப்புக்கேற்பத்  தனது வேலையை ராஜினாமா செய்துவிட்டு ஊழியத்துக்கு வந்தவர். ஆனால் வந்தவுடன் தேவன் அவரை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவில்லை. மிகவும் வறுமையில் வாடினார். ஒருமுறை அவரது ஒரே வேஷ்டி சட்டயைத் துவைக்க சோப்புவாங்கக் கூட அவரிடம் பணமில்லை.  மாலையில் அவர் ஒரு கூட்டத்தில் பேசவேண்டும். ஆனால் அவரிடம் மாற்று ஆடை இல்லை. அப்போது வேதனையுடன் வீட்டு வராண்டாவில் அமர்த்தபடி ஜெபித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார். 

"ஆண்டவரே, நீர் என்னை ஊழியத்துக்கு அழைத்ததால்தானே நான்  வேலையையே விட்டுவிட்டு வந்தேன் ...என்னை இப்படிப் பிச்சைக்காரன்போல ஆக்கிவிட்டீரே? என்றபடி வேதனையுடன் ஜெபிக்க அவர் கண்களிலிருந்து கண்ணீர் வடித்தது. கையிலிருந்த துண்டால் கண்ணீரைத் துடைக்கவும் ஏதோ "டப் " எனும் ஓசையுடன் விழுந்தது. கண்களைத் திறந்து பார்த்தபோது அவர்முன் ஒரு சோப்புக்கட்டி கிடந்தது. வேப்பமரத்தில் ஒரு காகம் அமர்ந்திருந்தது. ஆம், அன்று எலியாவுக்குக்   காகத்தின்மூலம் உணவளித்த தேவன் இன்றும் மாறாதவராக இருப்பதை உணர்ந்துகொண்டார். 

மேற்படி சம்பவத்தை அவர் வெளியில் பிரசங்கத்தில் சொல்வது கிடையாது. காரணம் அது பெருமை பேசுவதுபோல ஆகிவிடும் என்பதால் கூறமாட்டார். நானும் எனது நண்பரும் அவருடன் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் பலமணிநேரம் பேசுவதுண்டு. அப்போது இத்தகைய அற்புதங்களை கூறுவார். இது எங்களது விசுவாசத்தை வளர்க்க உதவியது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, இதே வசனத்தை உறுதியுடன் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். வாழ்வில் மிகப்பெரிய மாற்றத்தைக் காண முடியும். நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நேற்றும் இன்றும் என்றும் மாறாதவாகவே இருக்கிறார்.

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever." ( Hebrews 13 : 8 )

Today's verse is a verse that we often hear. But when we believe this verse, it will bring a great change in us. I have faith in this verse and am comforted and reassured.

Consider the acts of power that the Lord Jesus Christ performed yesterday, that is, in the Old Testament era. Abraham, Moses, Joshua, David, and many others, he acted as the Mighty One, the Lord of Hosts. We read in the book of Acts that he did mighty work with the apostles. The Lord Jesus Christ is the same today as He was with them yesterday.

Beloved, we can rightfully pray to Him with firm faith in this verse. Because He is the same as He was yesterday, He can work in us today as well. He is said to be immutable not only today but forever. With our children and grandchildren, He can do the same kind of guidance and miracles that He did yesterday.

Pastor Johnson David, who guided me in my early spiritual life, resigned his job and came to ministry as God called him. But God did not bless him upon arrival. He lived in extreme poverty. Once he didn't even have money to buy soap to wash his only shirt. In the evening he has to address a meeting. But he had no clothes to wear. At that time, he was sitting on the porch of the house and praying in agony.

Tears flowed from his eyes as he prayed painfully, "Lord, it was because you called me I came to the ministry...have you made me like a beggar?" He wiped away the tears with the towel in his hand. Suddenly he heard a sound of something falling. When he opened his eyes, he saw a bar of soap lying in front of him. A crow was sitting on the nearby neem tree. Yes, he realized that the God who fed Elijah that day with a raven is still the same today.

He does not tell the above incident in his sermons. He will not say it because it would sound like boasting. My friend and I have been talking to him privately for hours. At that time he would tell such miracles. It helped us grow in faith.

Beloved, hold fast to this same verse. You can see a huge change in life. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

மன்னிப்பும் இரட்சிப்பும் / FORGIVENESS AND REDEMPTION

ஆதவன் 🔥 923🌻 ஆகஸ்ட் 08, 2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"நாம் தேவனுக்குச் சத்துருக்களாயிருக்கையில், அவருடைய குமாரனின் மரணத்தினாலே அவருடனே ஒப்புரவாக்கப்பட்டோமானால், ஒப்புரவாக்கப்பட்டபின் நாம் அவருடைய ஜீவனாலே இரட்சிக்கப்படுவது அதிக நிச்சயமாமே." ( ரோமர் 5 : 10 )

முற்காலத்தில் நாம் நமது பாவ பழக்கவழக்கத்தால் தேவனைவிட்டு விலகி அவருக்குச் சத்துருக்களாக இருந்தோம்.  அப்படி சத்துருக்களாய் இருந்த நம்மை அவர் தனது இரத்தத்தால் ஒப்புரவாக்கினார். ஆம், நாம் பாவங்களற்று இருக்கவேண்டுமானால் தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்படவேண்டும்.

இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான்,  "அவர் ஒளியிலிருக்கிறதுபோல நாமும் ஒளியிலே நடந்தால் ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஐக்கியப்பட்டிருப்போம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்."  ( 1 யோவான்  1 : 7 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். இப்படிப் பாவங்கள் கழுவப்படும் நாம் அவரோடு ஒப்புரவாக்கபடுக்கின்றோம். 

இந்தப் பாவ மன்னிப்பின் நிச்சயத்தைப் பெறுவதுதான்  நாம் மீட்பு அனுபவம் பெறுவதற்கு முதற்படி.  பாவ மன்னிப்பு என்பது வேறு, பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுதலை எனது வேறு. பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறுவதே இரட்சிப்பு அல்லது மீட்பு. இதனையே இன்றைய வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "ஒப்புரவாக்கப்பட்டபின் நாம் அவருடைய ஜீவனாலே இரட்சிக்கப்படுவது அதிக நிச்சயமாமே" என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அதாவது நாம் முதலில் இதுவரை செய்த பாவங்கள் அனைத்தும் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு அவரோடு  ஒப்புரவாக்கப்படுகின்றோம் , பின்னர் பாவத்திலிருந்து முழு விடுதலை பெற்று இரட்சிக்கப்படுகின்றோம். பாவத்திலிருந்தும் பாவ பழக்கவழக்கத்திலிருந்தும் முழு விடுதலை பெறுவதே இரட்சிப்பு. 

இதனையே பவுல் ஆவியின் பிரமாணம் என்று கூறுகின்றார். அந்த ஆவியின் பிரமாணமே நம்மைப் பாவம் மரணம் என்பவற்றிலிருந்து விடுதலையாக்கும். "கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினாலே ஜீவனுடைய ஆவியின் பிரமாணம் என்னைப் பாவம் மரணம் என்பவைகளின் பிரமாணத்தினின்று விடுதலையாக்கிற்றே." ( ரோமர் 8 : 2 )

"மேலும் கிறிஸ்து உங்களிலிருந்தால் சரீரமானது பாவத்தினிமித்தம் மரித்ததாயும், ஆவியானது நீதியினிமித்தம் ஜீவனுள்ளதாயும் இருக்கும்." ( ரோமர் 8 : 10 ) அதாவது, பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு மீட்பு அனுபவத்தையம் பெறும்போது கிறிஸ்து நமக்குள் இருந்து செயல்புரிகின்றார். எனவே நமது உடலானது பாவத்துக்கு மரித்து நமது ஆவியானது அந்த நீதியினால் அழிவுக்குத் தப்பி ஜீவனுள்ளதாக இருக்கும். இல்லையானால் நாம் ஆவியில் மரித்தவர்களாக இருப்போம்.  

அன்பானவர்களே, இந்த கிறிஸ்துவின் பாவ மன்னிப்பையும் மீட்பினையும் பெறும்போதுதான் நாம் ஆவிக்குரியவர்கள்.  இந்த அனுபவங்களைப் பெற்றால் மட்டுமே பாவத்தை மேற்கொண்டு நாம் வெற்றியுள்ள ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழமுடியும்.

FORGIVENESS AND REDEMPTION

"For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." (Romans 5: 10)

In the past we were alienated from God by our sinful habits and were enemies to Him. He forgives us, who were such enemies with his blood. Yes, we must be washed by the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, if we want to be cleansed from sins.

This is what the apostle John said, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." ( 1 John  1 : 7 ). We who are washed away from our sins are concealed with Him.

The assurance of this forgiveness of sins is the first step before we can experience redemption. Forgiveness of sins and redemption from sins are different things. Salvation or redemption is freedom from sin. This is what the apostle Paul says in today's verse, “we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life."

That is, first we are forgiven for all our sins and we are reconciled to Him, and then we are freed from sin and saved. Salvation is complete freedom from sin and sinful habits.

This is what Paul calls the law of the Spirit. It is the law of the Spirit that sets us free from sin and death. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." (Romans 8: 2 )

"And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." (Romans 8 : 10 ) That is, when sins are forgiven and we experience redemption, Christ works from within us. So, our body is dead to sin and our spirit is saved from destruction by that righteousness and alive. Otherwise, we will be spiritually dead.

Beloved, we are spiritual only when we receive the forgiveness and redemption of this Christ. Only by having these experiences can we avoid sin and live a successful spiritual life.
