பழைய பாவிகள் / OLD SINNERS

ஆதவன் 🔥 969🌻 செப்டம்பர் 23, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"என் மீறுதல்களை நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; என் பாவம் எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிறது." ( சங்கீதம் 51 : 3 )

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால்  நம் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக இருந்தாலும் நமது பழைய பாவ வாழ்க்கை நமக்கு எப்போதும் நினைவில் இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம்.  மட்டுமல்ல, பாவங்கள் கழுவப்பட்டு மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெற்றபின்னரும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் அபிஷேகத்தைப் பெற்றபின்னரும் சிலவேளைகளில் நாம் பாவம் செய்ய நேரிடலாம். பரிசுத்த ஆவியினால் அபிஷேகம் செய்யப்பட்டத்  தாவீதுதான் பத்சேபாளிடம் பாவத்தில் விழுந்தார். 

நமது பாவங்களை தேவன் மறந்து விடுகின்றார். தனது முதுகுக்குப்பின் தூக்கிப் போட்டுவிடுகின்றார் என்பது மெய்யாக இருந்தாலும் நாம் நமது பாவங்களை; பாவவாழ்க்கையை மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது. 

அந்த நினைவு நமக்குள் இருக்கும்போதுதான் கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் நமக்குள்ள அன்பு அதிகரிக்கும். ஐயோ, நான் இப்படிப்பட்ட பாவத்தைச் செய்திருந்தும் தேவன் என்னை இரட்சித்து நடத்துகின்றாரே எனும் எண்ணம் ஏற்படும். பழைய பாவங்களை நினைக்கும்போது நமக்கு வெட்கம் ஏற்படும். முன்பு நாம் அத்தகைய பாவங்கள் செய்து என்ன பயனைத்தான் கண்டோம்? அவைகளினால் மரணத்துக்கு நேரக்கத்தானே சென்றுகொண்டிருந்தோம்? இதனையே, "இப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு வெட்கமாகத் தோன்றுகிற காரியங்களினாலே அக்காலத்தில் உங்களுக்கு என்ன பலன் கிடைத்தது? அவைகளின் முடிவு மரணமே." ( ரோமர் 6 : 21 ) என்கின்றார் பவுல்.

மேலும் பழைய நினைவுகள் இருந்தால்தான் நாம் இப்போது தூய்மையாக வாழ முடியம். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறிய இரக்கமில்லாத ஊழியன் பற்றிய உவமை இதனை நமக்கு உணர்த்தும். (மத்தேயு 18:23 - 35) ராஜாவிடம்  பதினாயிரம் தாலந்து கடனைபட்டு அவரிடம் இரக்கம் வேண்டி கெஞ்சியபோது ராஜா அனைத்துக் கடனையும் அவனுக்கு மன்னித்துவிட்டான். ஆனால் அந்த மனிதன் அதனை நினைவில் கொள்ளவில்லை. அப்படி அவன் நினைவில் வைத்திருப்பானேயானால் தன்னிடம் நூறு வெளிப்பணம்  கடன்பட்ட மனிதனுக்கு இரங்கியிருப்பான்.  

தாவீது ராஜா பத்சேபாளிடம் பாவத்தில் விழுந்தபின்பு நாத்தான் தீர்க்கத்தரிசியால் பாவத்தை உணர்த்தப்பட்டு மன்னிப்பு வேண்டி பாடிய சங்கீதம்தான் இந்த ஐம்பத்தி ஒன்றாம் சங்கீதம். அவர் கூறுவதுபோல இந்தப் பாவம் எப்போதும் அவர் கண்களுக்குமுன் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தது. 

நமக்கும் நமது பழைய வாழ்க்கை நினைவில் இருக்குமானால் நாம் மீண்டும் அவற்றைச் செய்யமாட்டோம். மட்டுமல்ல, அத்தகைய பாவங்களை செய்துகொண்டிருக்கும் மக்களைப் பார்க்கும்போது அவர்கள்மேல் இரக்கம் ஏற்படும். 

இன்று ஆவிக்குரிய சபைகளுக்குச் செல்லும் பலரிடம் இந்த எண்ணம் இருப்பதில்லை. எனவே அவர்கள் தாங்கள் மட்டும் பரிசுத்தவான்கள் என்றும் மற்றவர்கள் அனைவரையும் பாவிகள் என்றும் கூறிக்கொள்கின்றனர். இதனாலேயே ஒரு இறையியலார் கூறினார், "பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கும் அனைவரும் எப்போதும் பரிசுத்தவான்களாய் வாழ்ந்தவர்களல்ல; அவர்கள் மனம்திரும்பிய பழைய பாவிகள்". கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்பட்டு நீதிமானாக மாறியவர்கள். இதுவே உண்மை. "என் மீறுதல்களை நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; என் பாவம் எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிறது" என்று தாவீதைப்போலக் கூறி வாழ்வோமானால் நாம் தொடரும் பாவத்துக்குத் தப்பி வாழ முடியும்.

"For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.” (Psalms 51: 3)

Although our sins are forgiven by Christ Jesus, we must always remember our old sinful life. Not only that, sometimes we may commit sins after our sins have been washed away by the blood of Jesus and we have experienced redemption and received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. David who was anointed by the Holy Spirit committed sin with Bathsheba.

God forgets our sins. Although it is true that He throws away our sins; Don't forget the sinful life.

Only when that memory is in us will our love for Christ increase. Alas, even though I have committed such a sin, God has saved me. When we think of old sins, we feel ashamed. What benefit did we get from committing such sins before? We were heading for death because of them? That is why Paul says, "What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death." (Romans 6: 21)

And only with old memories can we live cleanly now. The parable of the merciless servant told by Jesus Christ will make us realize this. (Matthew 18:23 - 35) When he owed ten thousand talents to the king and begged for mercy, the king forgave him all the debt. But the same man did not remember that. If he remembers that, he would have forgiven the debt of the man who owes him only hundred silvers.

The fifty-first psalm is the psalm sung by David when Nathan the prophet reminded David’s sin with Bathsheba. It is a psalm for forgiveness. Here he says, “my sin is ever before me”.

If we also remember our old lives, we will not do them again. Not only that, when you see people committing such sins, we will feel compassion for them.

Many who attend spiritual churches today do not have this idea. So they claim that they alone are saints and all others are sinners. One theologian said, "All those in heaven are ever lived as a saint; they are old sinners who have repented". Those who have been washed and made righteous by the blood of Christ. This is the truth. If we live like David, saying, “I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me" we can escape from continuing sin.

எப்படிப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோம்? / HOW WE FOLLOW?

"ஒரு வாலிபன் ஒரு துப்பட்டியை மாத்திரம் தன்மேல் போர்த்துக்கொண்டு அவர் பின்னே போனான்; அவனைப் பிடித்தார்கள். அவன் தன் துப்பட்டியைப் போட்டுவிட்டு, நிர்வாணமாய் அவர்களை விட்டு ஓடிப்போனான்." ( மாற்கு 14 : 51, 52 )

வேதாகமத்திலுள்ள எந்த ஒரு சிறு குறிப்பும் காரணமின்றி எழுதப்பட்டதாயிராது.  இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனத்தில் துப்பட்டியைப் போர்த்திக்கொண்டு இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கைதுசெய்யப்படும்போது அவர் பின்னே சென்ற ஒரு வாலிபனைக் குறித்துக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. (துப்பட்டி என்பதற்கு மெல்லிய லினன் துணி என்று ஆங்கில வேதாகமத்தில் விளக்கம் உள்ளது)  

இந்தச் சம்பவம்  மாற்கு சுவிசேஷத்தில் மட்டும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. "இந்தச் சம்பவத்தைக் குறிப்பிடக் காரணம் என்ன? இது அவ்வளவு முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த ஒரு சம்பவம் இல்லையே?" என நானும் எனது நண்பர் பாஸ்டர் சொர்ணகுமார் அவர்களும் பத்துப் பதினைந்து நாட்களுக்கு முன்னர் பேசிக்கொண்டோம். இருவருக்குமே இதன் பொருள் புரியாமலிருந்தாலும் இது எழுதப்பட்டதற்கு ஏதாவது காரணம் இருக்கும் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டோம். 

கடந்த வாரம் ஒரு நண்பருக்கு பாஸ்டர் சொர்ணகுமார் அவர்கள் சுவிசேஷம் சொல்லும்போது ஆவியானவர் அவருக்கு இதனை வெளிப்படுத்தினார். அன்று மாலையில் அவர் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன், "ஜியோ,  நமது சந்தேகத்துக்குத் தேவன் விளக்கம் தந்துவிட்டார்" என்று கூறி இதனை விளக்கினார்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இந்த வாலிபன் இயேசுவின் சீடனல்ல; மாறாக வேடிக்கைப் பார்க்க வந்தவன்.  தூய்மையான வாழ்க்கை வாழாதவன். ஒரு ஆடையுமின்றி வெறும் மெல்லிய துணியைப் போர்த்திக்கொண்டு அங்கு வந்திருந்தான். ஆவிக்குரிய அர்த்தத்தில் இவன் இரட்சிப்பு எனும் ஆடை இல்லாதவன்.  இன்று கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு வாழ்வில் பரிசுத்தமின்றி வாழ்வோருக்கு இவன் உதாரணம். 

கிறிஸ்துவின் மேலுள்ள அன்பினால் இவன் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றவில்லை; மாறாக வேடிக்கைப்பார்க்க அவரைப் பின் சென்றான். இன்றும் இதுபோல வேடிக்கைப் பார்க்கும் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் உண்டு. கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கை முறைகளை விட்டுவிட்டு தாறுமாறாக வாழ்ந்துகொண்டு திருவிழா, கோவில் பிரதிஷ்டை, அசனம், கலைவிழா என்று நடத்துவதில் மட்டும் ஆர்வம் காட்டுபவர்கள் இவனைப்போன்றவர்களே. 

ஆனால் தேவன் இத்தகைய வேடிக்கை கிறிஸ்தவர்களை அனுமதிப்பதில்லை. அவர்கள் அவமானமடைவார்கள். அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் எபேசு நகரில் செய்த அற்புதங்களைக்கண்டு தாங்களும் அவ்வாறு செய்து மக்களிடம் நன்மதிப்பைப் பெறுவதற்கு ஒரு பிரதான ஆசாரியனின் மக்கள் சிலர் முயன்றார். அவர்களிடம் பவுலிடமிருந்த  பரிசுத்தம் இல்லை; பவுளிடமிருந்த பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் வல்லமை இல்லை.  கிறிஸ்துவுக்குப் பின் நிர்வாணத்தை மறைக்க மெல்லிய துணியைப் போர்த்திக்கொண்டு சென்ற வாலிபனைபோல இவர்களும் பவுலை பின்பற்றி அதிசயம் செய்ய எண்ணினர்.

அப்போது "பொல்லாத ஆவி அவர்களை நோக்கி: இயேசுவை அறிவேன், பவுலையும் அறிவேன், நீங்கள் யார் என்று சொல்லி, பொல்லாத ஆவியையுடைய மனுஷன் அவர்கள்மேல் பாய்ந்து, பலாத்காரம்பண்ணி, அவர்களை மேற்கொள்ள, அவர்கள் நிருவாணிகளும் காயப்பட்டவர்களுமாகி அந்த வீட்டை விட்டு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 19 : 15, 16 )

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை எப்படிப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோம் என்பதனை எண்ணிப்பார்ப்போம்.  பரிசுத்தத்தோடு அவரைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோமா இல்லை வேடிக்கைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்களாக இருக்கின்றோமா? இல்லாவிட்டால் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்வதில் வீண் பெருமைகொண்டு சாட்சியற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றோமா? நம்மை நாமே நிதானித்துப் பார்ப்போம். பிரச்சனைகள் துன்பங்கள் நெருக்கும்போது துப்பட்டியைப் போட்டுவிட்டு, நிர்வாணமாய் ஓடிப்போன வாலிபனைபோல நமது வாழ்க்கை மாறிவிடக்கூடாது.

                              HOW WE FOLLOW?

"And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked." (Mark 14: 51, 52)

Not a single note in the Bible was written without a reason. Today's meditation verse talks about a young man wrapped in a lien cloth who followed Jesus Christ when he was arrested.

This incident is only found in the Gospel of Mark. "What is the reason for mentioning this incident? Is it an incident of such importance?" Myself and my friend Pastor Sworna Kumar talked ten to fifteen days ago. Neither of us knew what it meant, but we assumed there must be a reason why it was written.

The Holy Spirit revealed this to Pastor Sworna Kumar when he was evangelizing a friend last week. Later that evening he happily explained this by saying, "Geo, God has given us an explanation for our doubt."

Beloved, this young man was not a disciple of Jesus; Instead, he came to have fun. He who does not live a pure life. He had come there without a garment, just wrapped in a thin cloth. In the spiritual sense he was without the garment of salvation. He is an example of those who claim to follow Christ and live unholy lives.

He did not follow Christ out of love for Christ; Instead, he followed him for fun. Even today there are Christians who have this kind of fun. People like this are the ones who are only interested in conducting festivals, temple consecrations, distributing food in church, conducting Christian art festivals etc., leaving the Christian way of life.

But God does not allow such fun Christians. They will be humiliated. We read in the Bible, some of the sons of a high priest tried to gain reputation among the people by seeing the miracles that the apostle Paul had done in Ephesus. They did not have the holiness that Paul had; did not have the power of the Holy Spirit as Paul had. Like the young man who wrapped himself in a thin cloth to hide his nakedness who followed Christ, they also wanted to follow Paul and perform a miracle.

"And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded." (Acts 19: 15, 16)

Beloved, let us consider how we follow Christ. Are we following Him in holiness or are we being fun Christians? If not, are we vainly proud to claim to be Christians and live a witness less life? Let's take a look at ourselves. Our life should not become like the youth who left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked when problems and sufferings are pressing.

என் கிருபை உனக்குப்போதும் / MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU

ஆதவன் 🔥 967🌻 செப்டம்பர் 21, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை

"அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கிப் பார்த்து: உனக்கு இருக்கிற இந்தப் பலத்தோடே போ; நீ இஸ்ரவேலை மீதியானியரின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிப்பாய்; உன்னை அனுப்புகிறவர் நான் அல்லவா என்றார்." ( நியாயாதிபதிகள் 6 : 14 )

நாம் பெரும்பாலும் மனச்சோர்வடையக் காரணம் மற்றவர்களோடு நம்மை ஒப்பிட்டுபார்ப்பதும், நம்மிடம் இல்லாததை எண்ணிக் கலங்குவதும் நம்மை மற்றவர்களைவிட குறைவாக மதிப்பிடுவதும்தான். இன்றைய வசனத்தின் பின்னணி அப்படிப்பட்டதுதான். ஆனால் தேவன் தனது நேசமானவர்களுக்கு பலத்தைக்கொடுத்து இத்தகைய சூழ்நிலைகளில் உதவுகின்றார். 

மீதியானியருக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருந்த இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் பெரும் அவதிக்குள்ளாயினர். இஸ்ரவேலரின் பயிர்கள் விளைத்து அறுவடையாகும் சமயத்தில் மீதியானியர் வந்து அவைகளைக் கைப்பற்றிக் கொண்டுச்சென்று விடுவர். இத்தகைய சூழலில்  கிதியோன் தனது வயலில் கோதுமை அறுவடைசெய்து மீதியானியருக்குப் பயந்து தனது ஆலையின் அருகிலேயே அதனைப் போரடித்துகொண்டடிருந்தார். ஆனால் கர்த்தரோ இந்தக் கிதியோனைக்கொண்டு இஸ்ரவேலை மீட்கச் சித்தமானார். 

"கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: பராக்கிரமசாலியே கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே இருக்கிறார் என்றார்." ( நியாயாதிபதிகள் 6 : 12 ) பின்னர் மீதியானியருக்கு எதிர்க்க கிதியோனைத் தான் தேர்ந்துகொண்டதை அறிவிக்கின்றார். ஆனால் கிதியோன் முதலில் தனது இயலாமையினையும் வலுவின்மையையும் தெரிவித்து இந்தப் பொறுப்பை ஏற்றுகொள்ளத் தயங்கினார். காரணம் மீதியானியர் போரில் வல்லவர்கள், பராக்கிரமசாலிகள்; அவர்களோடு நாம் எப்படி எதிர்த்துப்  போரிடமுடியும் என கிதியோன் தயங்கினார். அப்போது கர்த்தர், "உனக்கு இருக்கிற இந்தப் பலத்தோடே போ; நீ இஸ்ரவேலை மீதியானியரின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிப்பாய்; உன்னை அனுப்புகிறவர் நான் அல்லவா என்றார்."

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே,  நாமும் பலவேளைகளில் இதுபோல நமது பலவீனங்களை எண்ணித்  தயங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம். ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் தொடர்ந்து நடக்க முடியாத பலக்குறைவு, நோய்கள், பிரச்சனைகள், குடும்பச்  சூழ்நிலைகள் என்ன இருந்தாலும் கர்த்தர் நம்மோடு இருக்கின்றார் எனும் உறுதி நமக்கு இருக்குமானால் மீதியானியரைப்போன்ற  எந்தப் பிரச்சனைகளையும் எதிர்கொள்ள முடியும். நமக்கு இருக்கின்ற பலமே போதும். 

தயங்கிய கிதியோரிடம் கர்த்தர்,  "நான் உன்னோடேகூட இருப்பேன்; ஒரே மனுஷனை முறிய அடிப்பதுபோல நீ மீதியானியரை முறிய அடிப்பாய் " ( நியாயாதிபதிகள் 6 : 16 ) என்று தைரியமூட்டினார். 

கிதியோனைப்போல நமது வலுவற்றத் தன்மையை தேவனிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரது கிருபையினை நாம் சார்ந்துகொள்ளும்போது "என் கிருபை உனக்குப்போதும்; பலவீனத்திலே என் பலம் பூரணமாய் விளங்கும்"  ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 12 : 9 ) என்று அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலிடம் கூறியதுபோல நமக்கும் கூறுவார்.  

கர்த்தர் நம்மோடு இருக்கும்போது நாம்  பலவீனமாய் இருக்கும்போது அதிக பலமுள்ளவர்களாக மாறிவிடுகின்றோம். "அந்தப்படி நான் பலவீனமாயிருக்கும்போதே பலமுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறேன்; ஆகையால் கிறிஸ்துவினிமித்தம் எனக்கு வரும் பலவீனங்களிலும், நிந்தைகளிலும், நெருக்கங்களிலும், துன்பங்களிலும், இடுக்கண்களிலும் நான் பிரியப்படுகிறேன்." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 12 : 10 ) என்கின்றார் பவுல்.

நம்மிடம் இல்லாததை எண்ணிக் கலக்கிடவேண்டாம்; இருக்கின்ற பலத்தோடு விசுவாசத்தோடு தேவனைப் பற்றிக்கொள்வோம். கிதியோனிடம் "உனக்கு இருக்கிற இந்தப் பலத்தோடே போ; நீ இஸ்ரவேலை மீதியானியரின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிப்பாய்; உன்னை அனுப்புகிறவர் நான் அல்லவா" என்று கூறிய கர்த்தர் அதே வார்த்தைகளை நமக்கும் கூறுகின்றார். இருக்கின்ற பலத்தோடு தொடர்ந்து போராடு; நான் உன்னோடு இருப்பதால் அனைத்துப் பிரச்சனைகளையும் மேற்கொள்வாய் என்கின்றார் பரிசுத்தரான கர்த்தர்.

  MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU

"And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?" ( Judges 6 : 14 )

Most of the time we get depressed because we compare ourselves to others, worry about what we don't have and value ourselves less than others. Such is the background of today's verse. But God gives strength to his loved ones and helps them in such situations.

The people of Israel, who were slaves to the Midianites, suffered greatly. When the Israelites' crops were harvested, the Midianites would come and take them away. In this situation, Gideon was harvesting wheat in his field and was threshing it near his mill for fear of the Midianites. But the Lord wanted to rescue Israel with this Gideon.

"And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour." ( Judges 6 : 12 ) Then he announces that he has chosen Gideon to oppose the Midianites. But Gideon was at first reluctant to accept this responsibility citing his inability and weakness. Because the Midianites were skilled in war and mighty; Gideon hesitated as to how we could fight against them. Then the Lord said, “Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?"

Yes, dear ones, we too hesitate many times because of our weaknesses. If we have the assurance that the Lord is with us, no matter what the weakness, diseases, problems, family circumstances, inability to continue in the spiritual life, we can face the problems like Gideon met the Midianites. The strength we have is enough.

The Lord encouraged the hesitant Gideon, " Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man." (Judges 6 : 16 )

Like Gideon, when we report our weakness to God and depend on His grace, He will tell us as He said to the Apostle Paul, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." ( 2 Corinthians 12 : 9 )

When the Lord is with us, we become stronger even when we are weak. "Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." (2 Corinthians 12: 10) says Paul.

Don't be confused by what we don't have; Let's cling to God with faith and strength. The Lord said to Gideon, “Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?" The Lord says the same words to us. Continue to fight with the strength that we have; Because “I am with you, you will overcome all problems” says the Holy Lord.

நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு / JUDGEMENT

ஆதவன் 🔥 966🌻 செப்டம்பர் 20, 2023 புதன்கிழமை

"எவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணமில்லாமல் பாவஞ்செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணமில்லாமல் கெட்டுப்போவார்கள்; எவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்துக்குட்பட்டவர்களாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்படைவார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 2 : 12 )

கிறிஸ்துவின் நியாயத் தீர்ப்பினைக்குறித்து இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. மோசே வழியாக தேவன் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த கட்டளைகளே நியாயப்பிரமாணக் கட்டளைகள். 

ஒருமுறை ஒரு நண்பர் என்னிடம் நியாயத் தீர்ப்பைக்குறித்து சொல்கிறீர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவை அறியாத மக்களும் இந்த உலகத்தில் இருக்கிறார்களே அவர்களை தேவன் எப்படி நியாயம்தீர்க்க முடியுமென்று கேட்டார். நான் அவருக்கு இன்றைய வசனத்தைத்தான் கூறி விளக்கினேன். எவர்கள் கட்டளைகள் எதுவும் இல்லாமல் பாவஞ்செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள் கட்டளைகள் இல்லாமலே கெட்டுப்போவார்கள்; அதுபோல கட்டளைகளுக்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாக வாழும் நாமோ அந்தக் கட்டளைகளின் அடிப்படையில் தீர்ப்படைவோம். 

"தேவன் அவனவனுடைய கிரியைகளுக்குத்தக்கதாய் அவனவனுக்குப் பலனளிப்பார்." ( ரோமர் 2 : 6 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. மனிதர்களில் இருதயத்தில் தேவன் தனது பிரமானங்களை எழுதி வைத்துள்ளார். இதனையே, "அவர்களுடைய மனச்சாட்சியும்கூடச் சாட்சியிடுகிறதினாலும், குற்றமுண்டு குற்றமில்லையென்று அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகள் ஒன்றையொன்று தீர்க்கிறதினாலும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கேற்ற கிரியை தங்கள் இருதயங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதென்று காண்பிக்கிறார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 2 : 15 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மேலும் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கூறுகின்றார், "நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கேட்கிறவர்கள் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக நீதிமான்களல்ல, நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி செய்கிறவர்களே நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுவார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 2 : 13 ) ஆம், நாம் கிறிஸ்தவர்களாக வாழ்வதால் தேவனது கட்டளைகளை அறிந்தவர்களாக இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் கேட்டால் மட்டும் போதாது, அவற்றின்படி வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்படி வாழும்போதே நாம் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்கள் ஆகின்றோம். 

நியாயப்பிரமாண கட்டளைகளை வாழ்வில் கேட்டறியாத பிற மக்கள் தங்களது மனச்சாட்சியின்படி வாழும்போது தங்களை அறியாமலேயே தேவ கட்டளைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தவர்கள் ஆகின்றனர். எனவேதான் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர், அவர்கள் அப்படி நீதியான வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது  நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கேற்ற கிரியை தங்கள் இருதயங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதென்று காண்பிக்கிறார்கள் என்கின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, பிற மக்களைவிட நியாயப்பிரமாண கட்டளைகளைப் பெற்று அவற்றின்படி வாழ உதவக்கூடிய பரிசுத்த ஆவியையும் பெற்றுள்ள நாம் எவ்வளவு பேறுபெற்றவர்கள்!! எனவே அவரது கட்டளைகளை மீறும்போது தேவனது நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு கட்டளைகளை அறிந்த நமக்கு மிக அதிகமாகவே இருக்கும் எனும் அச்சத்தோடு நாம் வாழ வேண்டியது அவசியம்.  ஆம், மிகுதியாக கொடுக்கப்பட்டவனிடம் மிகுதியாகக் கேட்கப்படும்.

"என் சுவிசேஷத்தின்படியே, தேவன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைக் கொண்டு மனுஷருடைய அந்தரங்கங்களைக்குறித்து நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கொடுக்கும் நாளிலே இது விளங்கும்." ( ரோமர் 2 : 16 ) என்று நமக்கு எச்சரிப்போடு கூட அறிவுரையாகக் கூறுகின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல். 

தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மை தேவனுக்கேற்ற பாதையில் நடத்திடவும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் நாம் தண்டனைக்குத் தப்பிடவும்  வேண்டுதல் செய்வோம்.

                                                JUDGEMENT

"For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;" (Romans 2: 12) 

Today's verse talks about Christ's righteous judgment. The commandments given by God to the people of Israel through Moses are the commandments of the Law.

A friend once asked me about judgment, how can God judge people who do not know Christ in this world? I told him today's verse and explained it. Those who sin without commandments will perish without commandments; Likewise, we who live under commandments will judge based on those commandments.

“Who will render to every man according to his deeds” (Romans 2 : 6 ) God has written His vows in the hearts of men. Of this, it is written, "Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;" (Romans 2: 15)

And the apostle Paul says, "For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified." ( Romans 2 : 13 ) Yes, we can know God's commandments because we live as Christians. But it is not enough to just listen, it is necessary to live by them. When we live like that, we become acceptable to God.

Other people who do not heard about the commandments of the law in their lives, when they live according to their conscience, they unknowingly become obedient to God's commandments. That is why the apostle Paul says that when they live righteous lives, they show that the work of the law is written in their hearts.

Beloved, how blessed are we to receive the commandments of the law and the Holy Spirit to help us live by them than other people!! Therefore, it is necessary for us to live with the fear that God's judgment will be too much for us who know His commandments when we violate His commandments. Yes, to whom more is given, more will be sought.

Apostle Paul even warns us and advises us, "in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel" (Romans 2: 16) it will be known.

Let us pray that the Holy Spirit of God to guide us in the path of God and that we may escape punishment on the day of judgment.

ஆபிரகாம் & சாராள் / ABRAHAM & SARAH

ஆதவன் 🔥 965🌻 செப்டம்பர் 19, 2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும், உங்களைப் பெற்ற சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்; அவன் ஒருவனாயிருக்கையில் நான் அவனை அழைத்து, அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவனைப் பெருகப்பண்ணினேன்." ( ஏசாயா 51 : 2 )

முதுபெரும் தந்தையாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும் அவரது மனைவியாகிய சாராளையும் முன்மாதிரியாகக் கொண்டு வாழ  இன்றைய வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது.

ஆபிரகாமின் தகப்பனாகிய தேராகு மற்றும் அவரது முன்னோர்கள் கர்த்தரை அறிந்தவர்கள்  அல்ல; அவர்கள் வேறு தெய்வத்தினை வழிபாட்டு வந்தனர். "ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் நாகோருக்கும் தகப்பனான தேராகு என்பவன், நதிக்கு அப்புறத்திலே குடியிருந்தபோது அவர்கள் வேறே தேவர்களைச் சேவித்தார்கள்" ( யோசுவா 24 : 2 ) என்று யோசுவா நூலில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் தேராகு இறந்தபின் கர்த்தர் ஆபிரகாமை அழைத்தார்.

"கர்த்தர் ஆபிராமை நோக்கி: நீ உன் தேசத்தையும், உன் இனத்தையும், உன் தகப்பனுடைய வீட்டையும் விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, நான் உனக்குக் காண்பிக்கும் தேசத்துக்குப் போ. நான் உன்னைப் பெரிய ஜாதியாக்கி, உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன் பேரைப் பெருமைப்படுத்துவேன்; நீ ஆசீர்வாதமாய் இருப்பாய்."( ஆதியாகமம் 12 : 1, 2 ) என்றார். 

இப்படி, "நான் நதிக்கு அப்புறத்தில் இருந்த உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து, அவனைக் கானான்தேசமெங்கும் சஞ்சரிக்கச்செய்து, அவன் சந்ததியைத் திரட்சியாக்கி, அவனுக்கு ஈசாக்கைக் கொடுத்தேன்." ( யோசுவா 24 : 3 ) என்கின்றார் கர்த்தர். 

இன்றைய வசனத்தில் இந்த ஆபிரகாமையும் அவன் மனைவியாகிய சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. கர்த்தரை அறியாமல் வேறு தெய்வ வழிபாட்டில் வளர்க்கப்பட்ட ஆபிரகாம் கர்த்தர்மேல் விசுவாசத்தில் வல்லவரானார். எனவே, "அவன் ஒருவனாயிருக்கையில் நான் அவனை அழைத்து, அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவனைப் பெருகப்பண்ணினேன்." என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

நமது தேவன் உள்ளங்களை ஊடுருவிப் பார்கின்றவர். ஆபிரகாமின் உள்ளான மனது அவருக்குத் தெரிந்திருந்ததால் அவரை அழைத்து ஆசீர்வதிக்கின்றார் தேவன். ஆபிரகாம் தன்னை தேவன் பெருகச் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று மன்றாடவில்லை. ஆனால் அவரது உண்மையினையும் உத்தமத்தையும், விசுவாசத்தையும் தேவன் கனம் பண்ணி ஒருவனாகிய அவரை ஒரு தனித் தேசமாகவே மாற்றிவிட்டார். ஆம்,  இஸ்ரவேல் தேசம் எனும் மொத்த நாடே   ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததிகளால்  உண்டானது.  

எனவேதான், "உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும், உங்களைப் பெற்ற சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்" என்று இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கும்போது அவர் ஒருவரை எப்படி கனம் பண்ணுகிறார் என்பதற்கு ஆபிரகாம் நமக்கு ஒரு உதாரணம். என்வேதான் விசுவாசத்தைப்பற்றி கூறும்போது எபிரெய நிருப ஆசிரியர், "ஆனபடியால், சரீரஞ்செத்தவனென்று எண்ணத்தகும் ஒருவனாலே, வானத்திலுள்ள பெருக்கமான நட்சத்திரங்களைப்போலவும் கடற்கரையிலுள்ள எண்ணிறந்த மணலைப்போலவும், மிகுந்த ஜனங்கள் பிறந்தார்கள்." ( எபிரெயர் 11 : 12 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்றைய வசனம் இதையே நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள் என்று நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. ஆபிரகாம், சாராள் இவர்களது விசுவாசத்தை நாம் நோக்கிப்பார்ப்போம். அதனை நாமும் நமது வாழ்வில் கடைப்பிடிக்க முயலுவோம்; கர்த்தர் நம்மையும்  ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

"Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him." (Isaiah 51: 2)

Today's verse advises us to follow the example of the great father Abraham and his wife Sarah.

Abraham's father Terah and his ancestors did not know the Lord; They worshipped a different deity. We read in the book of Joshua that "Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods." (Joshua 24: 2) But after Terah's death, God called Abraham.

"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:" (Genesis 12: 1, 2)

Thus, "I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.” (Joshua 24: 3) says the Lord.

Today's verse asks us to look at this Abraham and his wife Sarah. Abraham, who was brought up in the worship of other gods without knowing true God, became strong in faith in God. Therefore, “I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him” today’s verse says.

Our God is a seer of hearts. God called and blessed Abraham because he knew his innermost heart. Abraham did not plead for God to multiply him. But God honoured his truth, integrity and faith and made him a separate nation. Yes, the entire nation of Israel is from Abraham's descendants.

That is why today's verse for meditation says, "Look to your father Abraham and to Sarah who bare you." Abraham is an example to us of how God honours a person when he believes. The author of the book of Hebrews, when speaking about faith, says, "Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable." (Hebrews 11: 12)

Beloved, today's verse instructs us to aim at this. Let us look at the faith of Abraham and Sarah. We will also try to follow it in our lives; May the Lord bless us too.

கர்த்தர் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறார் / THE LORD SUSTAINS ME

ஆதவன் 🔥 964🌻 செப்டம்பர் 18, 2023 திங்கள்கிழமை

"நான் படுத்து நித்திரை செய்தேன்; விழித்துக்கொண்டேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறார்." ( சங்கீதம் 3 : 5 )

இன்றைய  சங்கீத தியான வசனம் எழுதப்பட்ட பின்னணியைப் பார்த்தால்தான் இதன் அருமை தெரியும்.  நாம் சுகமாக மெத்தையில் படுத்துத் தூங்கி எழுந்துகொண்டு,  நான் படுத்து நித்திரை செய்தேன்; விழித்துக்கொண்டேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறார் என்று கூறுவதுபோல தாவீது இதனைக் கூறவில்லை. மாறாக, தாவீதின் மகன் அப்சலோம் தாவீதைக் கொல்லுவதற்குத் தேடி அலைந்துகொண்டிருக்கும்போது அவனுக்குத் தப்பியோட முயன்ற தாவீது குகைகளிலும் மலை இடுக்குகளிலும் மறைந்து வாழும்போது கூறிய வார்த்தைகள் இவை. 

சரியான உணவும்,  தூக்கமும்,  ஓய்வுமின்றி  அலைந்து களைப்படைந்து கிடைத்த இடத்தில் படுத்து உறங்கியெழுந்து தாவீது இன்றைய வார்த்தைகளை அறிக்கையிடுகின்றார். தூங்கி விழிப்பேனா இல்லை தூங்கும்போதே எதிரி என்னைக் கொன்றுவிடுவானோ எனும் அச்சப்படத்தக்க சூழ்நிலையில் தாவீது உறங்கி எழுந்து மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறுகின்றார், "படுத்து நித்திரை செய்தேன்; விழித்துக்கொண்டேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறார்" என்று. 

இதற்கு முந்தின இரண்டு வசனக்குமுன் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "ஆனாலும் கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துள்ள கேடகமும், என் மகிமையும், என் தலையை உயர்த்துகிறவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்." ( சங்கீதம் 3 : 3 ) ஆம், கர்த்தர் தன்னைக் கேடகத்தால் தாங்குகின்றார் என்பதைத் தாவீது அறிந்திருந்ததால்தான் அவரால் நிம்மதியாகத் தூங்கமுடிந்தது. எனவே, "எனக்கு விரோதமாகச் சுற்றிலும் படையெடுத்துவருகிற பதினாயிரம்பேருக்கும் நான் பயப்படேன்." ( சங்கீதம் 3 : 6 ) என்கின்றார் தாவீது. 

புதிய ஏற்பாட்டிலும் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுருவை ஏரோது கொலைசெய்யும் நோக்கத்துடன் பிடித்து சிறையிலடைத்து வைத்திருந்தான். அதற்கு முன்னர்தான் அவன் யோவானின் சகோதரனாகிய யாக்கோபைக் கொலைசெய்திருந்தான். அது யூதர்களுக்குப் பிடித்திருந்ததால் பேதுருவையும் கொலைசெய்ய எண்ணிச் சிறையில் அடைத்து வைத்திருந்தான். 

பொதுவாக கொலைசெய்யப்படப்போகும் கைதிகளுக்கு தண்டனை நிறைவேறப்போகும் நாளுக்கு முந்தின நாள் இரவில் தூக்கம் வராது என்கின்றனர் சிறை அதிகாரிகள். ஆனால் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு எந்தக் கவலையுமின்றி சுகமாகச் சிறையில் தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். இதை, "ஏரோது அவரை  வெளியே கொண்டுவரும்படி குறித்திருந்த நாளுக்கு முந்தின நாள் இராத்திரியிலே, பேதுரு இரண்டு சங்கிலிகளினாலே கட்டப்பட்டு, இரண்டு சேவகர் நடுவே நித்திரை பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்; காவற்காரரும் கதவுக்கு முன்னிருந்து சிறைச்சாலையைக் காத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 12 : 6 ) என நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

தாவீது கூறுவதுபோல இங்கு பேதுருவையும் தேவன் தனது தூதர்களை அனுப்பிச் சிறையிலிருந்து விடுவித்தார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, எந்தக் கவலை, துன்பம், நோய் வந்தாலும் கவலைப்படாமல் தாவீது கூறுவதுபோல "கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துள்ள கேடகமும், என் மகிமையும், என் தலையை உயர்த்துகிறவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்." என அறிக்கையிடுவோம்.  தேவன் மனிதர்களிடம் வேற்றுமை பாராட்டுபவரல்ல, தாவீதை விடுவித்தனர், பேதுருவோடு இருந்து அவரை அதிகாரத்தின் கைகளுக்குத் தப்ப வைத்தவர் நம்மையும் விடுவிப்பார்.

           THE LORD SUSTAINS ME

"I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me." (Psalms 3: 5)

The real beauty of today’s verse can be seen only by looking at the background in which these hymns are written. David does not say these verses as we slept comfortably on the mattress and woke up, and say I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. On the contrary, these are the words spoken by David as he hides in caves and mountain crevices as he tries to escape his son Absalom as he wanders around seeking to kill him.

David reports today's words when he was wandering without proper food, sleep and rest and tired from wandering. David wakes up from sleep and says with joy and says, " I awaked; for the LORD sustained me"

Two verses before this he says, "But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head." ( Psalms 3 : 3 ) Yes, David was able to sleep peacefully because he knew that the Lord supported him with a shield. Therefore, "I will not be afraid of ten thousand of people, that have set themselves against me round about.” (Psalms 3: 6) says David.

In the New Testament, the apostle Peter was captured and imprisoned by Herod with intent to kill him. Before that he had killed James, John's brother. Because it pleased the Jews, he kept Peter in prison, intending to kill him also.

Now  a days prison officials say that prisoners who are going to be executed usually do not sleep well the night before their execution. But we read that the apostle Peter was sleeping soundly in prison without any worries. It says, "And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison." (Acts 12: 6) we read.

As David says, here God also sent his messengers and freed Peter from prison.

Beloved, do not worry about anything, suffering or sickness. Let we also say as David, "Lord, you are my shield, my glory and the one who lifts up my head." God has no partiality. God who delivered David, and Peter from the hands of the enemies, will deliver us also.

இரத்தத்தினாலே தைரியம் / COURAGE BY THE BLOOD

ஆதவன் 🔥 963🌻 செப்டம்பர் 17, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை 

"புது உடன்படிக்கையின் மத்தியஸ்தராகிய இயேசுவினிடத்திற்கும், ஆபேலினுடைய இரத்தம் பேசினதைப்பார்க்கிலும் நன்மையானவைகளைப் பேசுகிற இரத்தமாகிய தெளிக்கப்படும் இரத்தத்தினிடத்திற்கும் வந்துசேர்ந்தீர்கள்." ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 24 )

இன்றைய வசனம் சில செய்திகளை நமக்குத் தருகின்றது. ஒன்று இரத்தத்தில் உயிர் இருப்பதால் (லேவியராகமம் 17: 11, 14) அது பேசும் தன்மை உள்ளதாக இருக்கின்றது.  அப்படிப் பேசக்கூடியதாக இருப்பதால் ஆபேலுடைய இரத்தமும் பேசியது. இதனை நாம் ஆதியாகமத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். தேவன் காயினைப் பார்த்துக் கூறுகின்றார், "என்ன செய்தாய்? உன் சகோதரனுடைய இரத்தத்தின் சத்தம் பூமியிலிருந்து என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறது." ( ஆதியாகமம் 4 : 10 )

ஆம், ஆபேலுடைய இரத்தம் மனித இரத்தமானதால் அது தன்னைக் கொலைசெய்த காயினுடைய பாதகத்தை தேவனுக்கு எடுத்துச் சொல்லி முறையிட்டது. ஆனால் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது இரத்தத்தால் நமது பாவங்களைக் கழுவுகின்றார். மட்டுமல்ல நாம் பாவம்செய்யும்போது தேவனிடம் பரிந்து பேசுகிறார். 

ஆபேலுடைய இரத்தம் தனக்காக நியாயம் கேட்டது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தமோ சாகல உலக மக்களை பரிசுத்தமாக்கிட அவர்களுக்காக பரிந்து பேசுகின்றது. எனவே, "(குமாரனாகிய) அவருக்குள், அவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே, பாவமன்னிப்பாகிய மீட்பு நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிறது."( கொலோசெயர் 1 : 14 )

மேலும், "அவர் சிலுவையில் சிந்தின இரத்தத்தினாலே சமாதானத்தை உண்டாக்கி, பூலோகத்திலுள்ளவைகள் பரலோகத்திலுள்ளவைகள் யாவையும் அவர் மூலமாய்த் தமக்கு ஒப்புரவாக்கிக்கொள்ளவும் அவருக்குப் பிரியமாயிற்று." ( கொலோசெயர் 1 : 20 )

இதனையே இன்றைய வசனம் ஆபேலினுடைய இரத்தம் பேசினதைப்பார்க்கிலும் நன்மையானவைகளைப் பேசுகிற இரத்தமாகிய தெளிக்கப்படும் இரத்தத்தினிடத்திற்கும் வந்துசேர்ந்தீர்கள் என்று கூறுகின்றது. ஆம், "நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி கொஞ்சங்குறைய எல்லாம் இரத்தத்தினாலே சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும்; இரத்தஞ்சிந்துதலில்லாமல் மன்னிப்பு உண்டாகாது." ( எபிரெயர் 9 : 22 )

மேலும் பரிசுத்த மார்க்கத்தில் நாம் நுழைவதற்கு இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது இரத்தத்தால் பாதையை உண்டாக்கியுள்ளதாலும்  அவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே நமக்குத் தைரியம் உண்டாயிருக்கிறபடியினாலும் உண்மையுள்ள இருதயத்தோடும் விசுவாசத்தின் பூரண நிச்சயதோடும் அதில் சேரக்கடவோம் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. (எபிரெயர் 10 : 20 ) 

இப்படி ஆபேலினுடைய இரத்தம் பேசினதைப்பார்க்கிலும் நன்மையானவைகளைப் பேசுகிற இரத்தமாகிய தெளிக்கப்படும் இரத்தத்தினிடத்திற்கும் வந்துசேர்ந்தீர்கள் என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தின் மேன்மையினை அறிந்தவர்களாக அவரது இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்பட நம்மை முழுவதுமாக அவருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். அப்போது  அவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே நமக்குத் தைரியம் உண்டாகும் மட்டுமல்ல நமது விசுவாசம் பூரணப்படும். அந்த நிச்சயத்தோடு பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் அவரோடு சேரமுடியும்.

          COURAGE BY THE BLOOD

"And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel." (Hebrews 12: 24)

Today's verse gives us some important messages. One is that, because blood has life (Leviticus 17:11, 14) it has the ability to speak. Abel's blood also spoke because of this. We read this in Genesis. God looks at Cain and says, "And he said, what hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground." ( Genesis 4 : 10 )

Yes, because Abel's blood was human blood, he complained to God about Cain's murder. But the Lord Jesus Christ washes away our sins with His blood. Not only that, he intercedes with God when we sin.

Abel's blood sought justice for itself. The blood of Jesus Christ intercedes for all the people of the world to sanctify them. Therefore, it is said, "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" (Colossians 1: 14)

And, "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”(Colossians 1 : 20 )

This is what today's verse says, you have come to the sprinkling blood, the blood that speaks good things rather than the blood of Abel. Yes, "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” (Hebrews 9: 22)

And it is said that since Jesus Christ has made a way for us to enter the holy place with his blood, we have courage with his blood, and let us join it with a true heart and full certainty of faith. (Hebrews 10:20)

Today's verse says that you have come to the sprinkling blood, the blood that speaks good things, rather than the blood of Abel.

Beloved, knowing the greatness of the blood of Jesus Christ, let us give ourselves wholly to Him to be washed by His blood. Then through his blood we will not only have courage but our faith will be perfected. With that certainty we can join him in the holy place.

கட்டாயச் சிலுவை / COMPULSORY CROSS

ஆதவன் 🔥 962🌻 செப்டம்பர் 16, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை 

"சிரேனே ஊரானும், அலெக்சந்தருக்கும் ரூப்புக்கும் தகப்பனுமாகிய சீமோன் என்னப்பட்ட ஒருவன் நாட்டிலிருந்து அவ்வழியே வருகையில், அவருடைய சிலுவையைச் சுமக்கும்படி அவனைப் பலவந்தம் பண்ணினார்கள்." ( மாற்கு 15 : 21 )

அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனுக்காக என்று நாம் செய்யும் எந்தக் காரியமாக இருந்தாலும் அது அன்பினால் செய்யப்பட்டதாக இருக்கவேண்டும் எனும் செய்தியை இன்றைய வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள சிரேனே ஊரானும், அலெக்சந்தருக்கும் ரூப்புக்கும் தகப்பனுமாகிய சீமோன் என்பவன் அன்பினால் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உதவவில்லை. மாறாக, கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் கிறிஸ்துவுக்காகச் சிலுவையைச் சுமந்தான் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவன் யூதர்களுக்குப் பயந்து சிலுவையைச் சுமக்க உதவினான். 

இதுபோலவே பல மனிதர்களை நாம் பார்க்கலாம்.  சிலர் தேவனுக்கென்றும் ஆலயப் பணிகளுக்கென்றும் தேவ அன்பினால் ஏவப்பட்டுச் செய்யாமல் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் சில காரியங்களைச் செய்கின்றனர். கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் சில பக்தி காரியங்களில் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர். எந்தவிதக்  கட்டாயமுமின்றி அன்பினால் ஏவப்பட்டு நாம் செய்யும் செயல்களே தேவனால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்படும். 

ஒரு சிறு நகரத்தில்  அந்தப் பகுதியிலுள்ள ஆலய பிரதிஷ்டைகாக ஊர் இளைஞர்கள் நன்கொடை வசூலித்தனர். அந்த ஊரில் கடைவைத்திருந்த கடை முதலாளியையும் வற்புறுத்தி ஒரு பெரிய தொகையை எழுதவைத்தனர். ஊராரைப் பகைக்கவேண்டாம் என்று கருதி அவரும் பெரிய தொகையினை நன்கொடையாகக் கொடுக்க முன்வந்தார். பின்னர் அவர் ஒருவரிடம் கூறியதை நான்  கேட்டேன். " வருஷம்தோறும் இது பெரிய தொந்தரவாய் இருக்கிறது....என்ன செய்ய அவர்கள் கேட்பதை அழுது தொலைக்கவேண்டியிருக்கிறது ..." என்று சலித்துக்கொண்டார். 

பிரதிஷ்டை பண்டிகையன்று அதிகம் நன்கொடைகொடுத்த இந்த முதலாளியை அழைத்து பொன்னாடைபோர்த்தி கவுரவித்தார்கள். மனிதர்கள் மத்தியில் அவர் பெருமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார். இதுவும் அடுத்த ஆண்டிலும் அவர் இப்படி உதவிடவேண்டும் எனும் எண்ணத்தில்தான்.    அன்பானவர்களே,  இப்படிக் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் பல காரியங்களை நாமும் செய்யலாம். இவைகள் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் சீமோன் சிலுவை சுமந்த காரியம் போன்றவைகள்தான். 

ஆனால் உலக மக்களுக்கு அன்பினால் செய்யும் செயலையும் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் செய்யும் செயலையும் பகுத்தறிய முடிவதில்லை. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பரிசேயன் ஒருவனது வீட்டில் பந்தியிருக்கும்போது பாவியாகிய பெண் ஒருவர் வந்து அவரது பாதங்களைக் கண்ணீரால் நனைத்து தனது கூந்தலால் துடைத்தாள். அவரை விருந்துக்கு அழைத்த சீமோன் இதுகுறித்து மனதுக்குள், "இவர் தீர்க்கதரிசியாக இருந்தால் தன்னைத் தொடும் பெண் பாவி என்று அறிந்திருப்பாரே" என எண்ணினான். 

அவனது எண்ணத்தைப் புரிந்துகொண்ட இயேசு அவனுக்குச் சில விளக்கங்களைக் கூறிவிட்டு இறுதியில் கூறினார்,  "ஆதலால் நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்: இவள் செய்த அநேக பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது; இவள் மிகவும் அன்புகூர்ந்தாளே;  எவனுக்குக் கொஞ்சம் மன்னிக்கப்படுகிறதோ, அவன் கொஞ்சமாய் அன்புகூருவான்" ( லுூக்கா 7 : 47 )  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, அன்பினால் செய்யும் சிறிய செயலையும் தேவன் அங்கீகரிப்பார். கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் செய்யப்படும் எத்தனைப் பெரிய செயலையும் அவர் கணக்கில் கொள்வதில்லை. எனவே சிரேனே ஊர் சீமோனைப்போல வலுக்கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் எதனையும் செய்யாதபடி எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருப்போம். நாம் எதனையும் தேவனுக்கென்று செய்யும்போது இதனையும் எண்ணிக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். ஊராரின் கட்டாயத்தின்பேரில் நாம் சில காரியங்களை இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டியிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அதனை நாம் உணர்ந்திருக்கவேண்டும் அப்படிச் செய்யும் செயலை நாம் உடன்தானே மறந்துவிடுவது நல்லது 

ஆனால் கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் மெய்யான அன்புகொண்டு நாம் செய்யும் சிறிய செயலையும் அவர் கணக்கில்கொள்வார். நமது பாவங்களையும் மன்னிப்பார்.

            COMPULSORY CROSS

"And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross." ( Mark 15 : 21 )

Beloved, today's verse advises us that whatever we do for God, it should be done with love.

Simon the Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rupus, mentioned in today's meditation verse, did not help Christ out of love. Rather, it is said that he carried the cross for Christ out of compulsion. He was afraid of the Jews and helped carry the cross.

Similarly, we can see many people. Some people do things out of compulsion rather than being inspired by God's love for God and church work. They engage in some devotional activities out of compulsion. God approves of the actions we do out of love without any compulsion.

In a small town, the youth of the village collected donations for the consecration of a church in that area. They also forced the owner of the shop in that town to write down a huge amount. He also offered to donate a large amount of money, thinking that he should not antagonize the villagers. Then I heard him tell someone, “every year it is a big trouble for me....I have to cry and lose what they ask me to do..." he said boredly.

On the consecration festival, this shop owner who donated a lot was invited and honored with golden shawl. He was glorified among men. It was also with the intention that he should help in this way in the next year as well. Beloved, we too can do many things out of compulsion. These are things like Simon's forced cross-carrying.

But the people of the world cannot distinguish between an act of love and an act of compulsion. When Jesus Christ was staying in a Pharisee's house, a sinful woman came and wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. Simon, who invited him to the feast, thought to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know that the woman who touches him is a sinner."

Jesus, who understood his thoughts, gave him some explanations, and finally said, "Wherefore I say unto thee, her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little." (Luke 7: 47)

Yes beloved, God will recognize even the smallest act of love. He does not consider any great deed done out of compulsion. So let us be careful, like Simon of Cyrene, to do nothing under compulsion. We should also consider this when we do anything for God. We may have to do some things like this due to the compulsion of the villagers. But we should realize that it is better to forget the act of doing that.

But He will count even the smallest act that we do with true love for Christ. He will also forgive our sins.
