ஜீவ புத்தகத்தில் நமது பெயர்/ OUR NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE

'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,026,              நவம்பர் 19, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"தீட்டுள்ளதும் அருவருப்பையும் பொய்யையும்  நடப்பிக்கிறதுமாகிய  ஒன்றும் அதில் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை;  ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவரின்ஜீவபுஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டவர்கள்  மாத்திரம் அதில்  பிரவேசிபபார்கள்." (  வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 21 : 27 )

பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தில் நுழைவதற்குரிய முக்கியமான ஒரு தகுதியாக ஜீவபுத்தகத்தில் நமது பெயர் எழுதப்படுவதை வேதம் குறிப்பிடுகின்றது. ஒருவன் தேவனால் தனது பாவங்கள்   மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு மீட்பு அனுபவத்திற்குள்   வரும்போது அவனது பெயரை  தேவன் ஜீவபுத்தகத்தில்   எழுதுகின்றார். இப்படித்  தங்கள்  பெயர்  ஜீவபுத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டவர்களே தேவனது   பரலோக  ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பார்கள். இதனை வேதம்   தெளிவாக பல  இடங்களில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது. 

"ஜீவபுஸ்தகத்திலே எழுதப்பட்டவனாகக் காணப்படாதவனெவனோ அவன் அக்கினிக்கடலிலே தள்ளப்பட்டான்." (  வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 20 : 15 )

மேலும், "மரித்தோராகிய சிறியோரையும் பெரியோரையும்  தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கக்கண்டேன்; அப்பொழுது புஸ்தகங்கள்திறக்கப்பட்டன; ஜீவபுஸ்தகம் என்னும் வேறொரு புஸ்தகமும்  திறக்கப்பட்டது; அப்பொழுது அந்தப் புஸ்தகங்களில்  எழுதப்பட்டவைகளின்படியே மரித்தோர் தங்கள் தங்கள்  கிரியைகளுக்குத்தக்கதாக நியாயத்தீர்ப்படைந்தார்கள். (  வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 20 : 12 )

பவுல் அடிகளும் இதனைக் குறிப்பிடும்போது,  "அன்றியும், என்  உத்தம கூட்டாளியே, அவர்களுக்கு உதவியாயிருக்கும்படி  உன்னையும் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன்; அவர்கள்  கிலேமெந்தோடும் மற்ற என் உடன்வேலையாட்களோடுங்கூடச்  சுவிசேஷ விஷயத்தில் என்னோடேகூட மிகவும்  பிரயாசப்பட்டார்கள், அவர்களுடைய நாமங்கள் ஜீவபுஸ்தகத்தில் இருக்கிறது. (  பிலிப்பியர் 4 : 3 ) என எழுதுகின்றார். 

பழைய ஏற்பாட்டு பக்தனான மோசேயும் இதனை அறிந்திருந்தா. இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் பொன் கன்றுகுட்டியை செய்து 'இதுவே  எங்களை எகிப்தியரிடமிருந்து விடுவித்த தேவன்' என  வணங்கியதைக் கண்டு ஆவேசம் கொண்டார். அவர்களுக்காக தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்பு வேண்டினார். அப்போது, "ஆகிலும், தேவரீர் அவர்கள் பாவத்தை மன்னித்தருளுவீரானால் மன்னித்தருளும்; இல்லாவிட்டால் நீர் எழுதின உம்முடைய  புஸ்தகத்திலிருந்து என் பேரைக் கிறுக்கிப்போடும் என்றான்."(  யாத்திராகமம் 32 : 32 )

அதாவது தனது பெயர் ஜீவபுத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்படுவதைவிட  பாவம்செய்த இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் முதலில் மன்னிப்புப்  பெறவேண்டும் எனும் மேலான எண்ணமே மோசேயிடம் இருந்தது. "அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவம் செய்தவன் எவனோ, அவன் பேரை என் புஸ்தகத்திலிருந்துகிறுக்கிப்போடுவேன்." (  யாத்திராகமம் 32 : 33 ) என்றார்.

அன்பானவர்களே ! வேதாகம பக்தர்கள் பலரும் மீட்கப்பட்ட  மக்களது பெயரை தேவன் ஜீவபுத்தகத்தில் எழுதும் இந்த  உண்மையை நன்கு அறிந்திருந்தனர். 

இன்று உலக அரசாங்கங்கள்கூட பல்வேறு பெயர் பதிவு  ஆதாரங்களை நடைமுறையில் கொண்டுள்ளன.  உதாரணமாக,  பிறப்பு சான்றிதழ்,  ஆதார் கார்டு போன்றவை. ஆதார்  அடையாளஅட்டை  இல்லாவிட்டால் நம்மை இந்தியக் குடிமகனாக  ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது எனும் நிலையே உள்ளது.  அரசாங்கத்திடம் என்ன  காரியத்துக்கு விண்ணப்பித்தாலும்  ஆதார் பதிவு முக்கியமாக உள்ளது. 

எனவேதான் இன்று மக்கள் தங்களுக்குக் குழந்தை பிறந்த சில  மாதங்களிலேயே பிறப்பு சான்றிதழை பெற ஓடுகின்றனர். ஆதார்அட்டைப்பெற முயற்சி செய்கின்றனர். அன்பானவர்களே, இதுபோலவே தேவன் ஜீவ புத்தகத்தில் பெயர் பதிவு செய்வதை ஒரு  முறையாக வைத்துள்ளார். நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்ட  நிச்சயம் நமக்கு உண்டுமானால் நமது பெயர் ஜீவபுத்தகத்தில்  எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது நிச்சயம். இது ஒருவிதத்தில் தேவனது  ராஜ்யத்துக்கு நாம் நுழைவதற்குரிய   பாஸ்போர்ட். இந்திய  பாஸ்போர்ட் உள்ளவன் இந்திய குடிமகனாக உலக நாடுகளால்  என்றுகொள்ளப்படுவதுபோலத் தான் இதுவும்.

இந்த உரிமையினை நாம் பெறவேண்டியது அவசியமல்லவா?  அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனிடம் நம்மைத் தாழ்த்தி  ஜெபித்து நமது மீட்புக்காக வேண்டுவோம். தேவன்தாமே நமது பெயரை  ஜீவபுத்தகத்தில் பதிவிடுவார். அந்த நிச்சயம் நம்மை  மகிழ்ச்சிப்படுத்தும்.

     OUR NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,026,        Sunday, November 19, 2023

“And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.” ( Revelation 21 : 27 )

Scripture mentions that; having our name written in the Book of Life as an important qualification for entering the Kingdom of Heaven. When a person is forgiven of his sins by God and comes into the redemption experience, God writes his name in the book of life. Like this, Only those whose names are written in the book of life will enter God's heavenly kingdom. This has been mentioned in the Bible in many places.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” ( Revelation 20 : 15 )

“And, I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” ( Revelation 20 : 12 )

When Paul mentions this, he writes, “And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life.” ( Philippians 4 : 3 )

Even the Old Testament worshiper Moses knew this. He was enraged when he saw that the people of Israel made a golden calf and worshiped it saying 'This is the God who delivered us from the Egyptians'. He asked God for forgiveness for them. Then he said, “Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.” ( Exodus 32 : 32 )

That is, Moses had a higher idea that the people of Israel who had sinned should receive forgiveness first than his name being written in the book of life. “And the LORD said unto Moses, whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.” ( Exodus 32 : 33 )

Beloved! Many Bible devotees were well aware of this fact that God writes the names of redeemed people in the Book of Life.

Even the governments of the world today have various sources of name registrations. For example, Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card etc. If we do not have Aadhaar identity card, we cannot be accepted as Indian citizens. Aadhaar enrolment is important for any job you apply to the government.

That is why today people rush to get birth certificate within a few months of their child's birth. They are also trying to get Aadhaar card. Beloved, in the same way God has set the record of names in the Book of Life. If we have the certainty that our sins are forgiven, then our name is written in the book of life. It is in a way our passport to enter the kingdom of God. It is like a person holding an Indian passport is considered an Indian citizen by the world.

Shouldn't we get this right? Beloved, let us humble ourselves and pray to God for our salvation. God himself will write our name in the book of life. That will surely make us happy.

யேகோவாயீரே / JEHOVAH -JIREH

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,025,             நவம்பர் 18, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"ஆபிரகாம் அந்த இடத்துக்கு யேகோவாயீரே என்று பேரிட்டான்; அதினாலே கர்த்தருடைய பர்வதத்திலே பார்த்துக்கொள்ளப்படும் என்று இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் சொல்லப்பட்டு வருகிறது." ( ஆதியாகமம் 22 : 14 )

ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கைப் பலியிடத் துணிந்து மோரியா நாட்டிற்குச் சென்று தனக்குக் கர்த்தர் குறித்த  மலைமீது ஏறி ஈசாக்கைப் பலியிடத் தயாரானபோது கர்த்தரது தூதன் இறுதியில் அவரைத் தடுத்து நிறுத்தினார். ஆபிரகாம் தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிபவர் என்றும் அவருக்காக எதனையும் செய்யத்துணிந்தவர் என்பதும் உறுதியானது. தேவன் ஏதாவது அதிசயம் செய்து தனது மகனைக் காப்பாற்றுவார் என்பது ஏற்கனவே ஆபிரகாமுக்குத் தெரிந்திருந்தது.  எனவேதான் ஈசாக்கு அவரிடம், "அப்பா, பலியிட விறகுகளும் நெருப்பும் இருக்கின்றன. பலியிட ஆட்டுக்குட்டி எங்கே?" என்று கேட்டபோது ஆபிரகாம், "என் மகனே, தேவன் தமக்குத் தகனபலிக்கான ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைப் பார்த்துக்கொள்வார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 22 : 8 ) என உறுதியாகக் கூறுகின்றார். 

காரணம், ஈசாக்கு தேவனால் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட மகன். தான் அவனைப் பலியிட்டாலும் தேவன் மீண்டும் அவனை உயிரோடு எழுப்புவார் என்று ஆபிராகாம் நம்பினார். இதனை, "ஈசாக்கினிடத்தில் உன் சந்ததி விளங்கும் என்று அவனோடே சொல்லப்பட்டிருந்ததே; இப்படிப்பட்ட வாகுத்தத்தங்களைப் பெற்றவன், மரித்தோரிலிருந்துமெழுப்ப தேவன் வல்லவராயிருக்கிறாரென்றெண்ணி, தனக்கு ஒரேபேறானவனையே பலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்; மரித்தோரிலிருந்து அவனை பாவனையாகத் திரும்பவும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டான்." ( எபிரெயர் 11 : 19 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம்.

எனவே, அவர் விசுவாசத்தால் கூறிய வார்த்தைகளை தேவன் அங்கீகரித்தார். "ஆபிரகாம் தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப் பார்க்கும்போது, இதோ, பின்னாகப் புதரிலே தன் கொம்புகள் சிக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்த ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவைக் கண்டான்; அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் போய், கடாவைப் பிடித்து, அதைத் தன் குமாரனுக்குப் பதிலாகத் தகனபலியிட்டான்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 22 : 13 ) ஆபிரகாம் அந்த இடத்துக்கு யேகோவாயீரே என்று பேரிட்டார்; அதினாலே கர்த்தருடைய பர்வதத்திலே பார்த்துக்கொள்ளப்படும் என்று பெயர் உண்டானது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, புதிய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்களாகிய நமக்கு கொல்கொதா மலை ஒரு யேகோவாயீரே. ஈசாக்குக்காக பலியான ஆடுபோல நமக்காக பலியான ஆடுதான் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. ஆம்,  இதனையே யோவான் ஸ்நானன் மக்களுக்குச் சுட்டிக்காட்டினார். "இதோ, உலகத்தின் பாவத்தைச் சுமந்துதீர்க்கிற தேவ ஆட்டுக்குட்டி.' ( யோவான் 1 : 29 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம்.

 

அன்று ஆபிரகாமிடம் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அமைதியாக இருந்திருந்தால் ஈசாக்கு பலியாகியிருப்பான். அதுபோல,  கிறிஸ்துவாகிய தேவ ஆட்டுக்குட்டியை  பிதாவாகிய தேவ கொடுக்காமல் அமைதியாக இருந்திருந்தால் நாமெல்லோரும் அழிந்துபோயிருப்போம். நமக்காக கர்த்தருடைய பர்வதத்தில் பார்த்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டதால் நாம் உன்னதங்களில் அவரோடுகூட அமரக்கூடிய வாய்ப்பினைப் பெற்றுள்ளோம்

இந்த உறுதியில்தான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "தம்முடைய சொந்தக்குமாரனென்றும் பாராமல் நம்மெல்லாருக்காகவும் அவரை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தவர், அவரோடேகூட மற்ற எல்லாவற்றையும் நமக்கு அருளாதிருப்பதெப்படி?" ( ரோமர் 8 : 32 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். தனது சொந்த மகனையே நமக்காகத் தந்தவர் அவரோடுகூட மற்ற எல்லாவற்றையும் எப்படி நமக்குத் தராமல் இருப்பார்?

தேவன் மேலுள்ள நமது விசுவாசம் உறுதியாகும்போது அவரே நமது யேகோவாயீரே யாக இருப்பார். அன்று மோரியா மலையில் ஆபிரகாமுக்குப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டதுபோல நாம் கல்வாரியை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கும்போது நமக்கும் எல்லாம் பார்த்துக்கொள்ளப்படும். கிறிஸ்துவைவிட்டு விலகாத விசுவாசத்தோடு அவரையே பற்றிக்கொள்வோம்.

                  JEHOVAH-JIREH

‘AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITAION - No: - 1,025,                         Saturday, November 18, 2023

"And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen." (Genesis 22: 14)

When Abraham dared to sacrifice Isaac, went to the land of Moriah and climbed the mountain the Lord had told him to sacrifice Isaac. But, the angel of the Lord stopped him at the end. It is certain that Abraham obeyed God and was willing to do anything for Him. Abraham already knew that God would do something miraculous to save his son. So, when Isaac said to him, "Father, here is wood and fire, where is the lamb for the sacrifice?" Abraham said, "God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:" (Genesis 22: 8) says with certainty.

The reason is that Isaac was the promised son of God. Abraham believed that even if he sacrificed him, God would raise him back to life. This we read, Of whom it was said, "That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.” (Hebrews 11: 18,19)

Therefore, God approved the words he spoke by faith. "And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son." (Genesis 22: 13) Abraham called the name of the place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Beloved, for us New Testament people, Golgotha is Jehovah-jireh. The Lord Jesus Christ is the sacrificial goat for us like the sacrificial goat for Isaac. Yes, this is what John the Baptist pointed out to the people. "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1: 29)

If God the Father had been silent to Abraham that day, Isaac would have been sacrificed. Similarly, if God the Father had not given Christ the Lamb of God, we would all have perished. Having been taken care of for us on the mountain of the Lord, we have the opportunity to sit with Him on high.

It is in this assurance that the apostle Paul said, 'He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?' (Romans 8: 32) How can he who gave his own Son for us not also give us everything else?

When our faith in God is firm, He will be our Lord. All things will be taken care of for us when we look toward Calvary, just as Abraham was taken care of on Mount Moriah. Let's cling to Christ with unwavering faith.

உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்காக மட்டும் / ONLY FOR WORLDLY BLESSINGS

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,024,              நவம்பர் 17, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"அவர்கள் தங்கள் படுக்கைகளில் அலறுகிறபோது, தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறதில்லை; அவர்கள் தானியத்துக்காகவும் திராட்சைரசத்துக்காகவும் கூடுகிறார்கள்; என்னை வெறுத்து விலகிப்போகிறார்கள்." ( ஓசியா 7 : 14 )

மெய்யான மனம் திரும்புதலின்றி தங்களுக்கு ஏதாவது துன்பமோ பிரச்சனைகளோ ஏற்படும்போது மட்டும் தேவனை நோக்கி ஜெபிக்கும் மக்களைக் குறித்து  இன்றைய தியான வசனம்  கூறுகின்றது. 

இத்தகைய மனிதர்கள் துன்பங்களோ  வியாதிகளோ நெருக்கும்போது தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையதுபோன்ற காரியங்களில் அதிகமாக ஈடுபடுவார்கள். ஜெபம், தவம், காணிக்கைகள், ஆலயங்களுக்குச் செல்லுதல் எனத் தங்கள் வாழ்க்கை முறைகளில் சில மாறுதல்களைச்  செய்வார்கள். ஆனால், பொதுவாக இத்தகைய மனிதர்கள் தன்னைத் தேடவில்லை என்று வருத்தத்துடன் கூறுகின்றார் தேவன். 

இதனையே, "தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறதில்லை; அவர்கள் தானியத்துக்காகவும் திராட்சைரசத்துக்காகவும் கூடுகிறார்கள்; என்னை வெறுத்து விலகிப்போகிறார்கள்." என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. அதாவது, தேவனை வாழ்வில் அறியவேண்டும் எனும் எண்ணத்தில் தேவனிடம் வராமல் தங்கள் உலகத் தேவைகள் சந்திக்கப்படவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக இப்படி பக்திகாரியங்களில் ஈடுபடுகின்றார்கள் என்கின்றார் தேவன்.  

இதனையே தொடர்ந்து ஓசேயா மூலம் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், "திரும்புகிறார்கள், ஆனாலும் உன்னதமானவரிடத்திற்கு அல்ல; மோசம்போக்குகிற வில்லைப்போலிருக்கிறார்கள்; " ( ஓசியா 7 : 16 ) அதாவது இத்தனைக் காலமும் வாழ்ந்த வாழ்க்கை முறைகளை மாற்றி தேவனிடம் திரும்பியதுபோல ஒரு தோற்றம் இருக்கின்றதே தவிர உன்னத தேவனிடம் உண்மையாகத் திரும்பவில்லை என்கின்றார். இதனையே, "திரும்புகிறார்கள், ஆனாலும் உன்னதமானவரிடத்திற்கு  அல்ல" என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, பலவேளைகளில் தேவன் நமக்குப்  பதிலளிக்காமல் இருக்கக் காரணம் இதுதான். அதாவது அந்த நேரத்திற்கான ஒரு விடுதலையினை மனிதர்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார்களேத்  தவிர நிரந்தரமான ஒரு விடுதலையினை அடையவேண்டும் என்று விரும்பவில்லை. தேவனை வாழ்வில் அறியவேண்டும் எனும் எண்ணமும் அவர்களுக்கு இல்லை.

ஆனாலும், தேவன் மனிதர்கள்மீது தான் கொண்டுள்ள அன்பினால் பலவேளைகளில் தனது ஊழியர்கள் ஜெபிக்கும்போது இத்தகைய மனிதர்களுக்குத் தற்காலிக விடுதலையினைக் கொடுக்கின்றார்.  ஆனால் அது போதாது. ஒவ்வொரு நேரத்துக்கும் ஊழியர்களைத்தேடி சுகம் பெற முடியாது. தொடர்ந்து மனம்திரும்பாத நிலையில் ஒரு மனிதன் இருப்பானேயானால் தேவன் விடுதலையளிக்காமல் அப்படியே விட்டுவிடலாம். மேலும் சரீர சுகம் பெறுவது நமது இலக்கல்ல; மாறாக நாம் தேவனை அறிந்து நித்திய ஜீவனுக்குத்  தகுதியுள்ளவர்கள் ஆகவேண்டும். 

தானியத்துக்காகவும் திராட்சைரசத்துக்காகவும் கூடி தேவனைவிட்டு விலகிப்போகும் மனிதர்களைப்போல நாம் இருக்கக் கூடாது. அவரை வாழ்வில் அறியவேண்டும் எனும் ஆர்வமுடன் அவரைத் தேடி தேவ அனுபவத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். நம்மைக்குறித்த தேவனது எதிர்பார்ப்பு இதுதான். அவரது மன விருப்பத்துக்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு வாழ்க்கை வாழ நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம்.

"And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me." (Hosea 7: 14)

Today's meditation verse talks about people who pray to God only when they have some suffering or problems without true repentance.

Such people seems to be more involved in things that are acceptable to God when suffering or illness is close. They will make some changes in their lifestyle like prayer, penance, offerings, visiting temples. But God says with sadness that usually such people do not seek Him.

That is, "they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine." In other words, God says that they engage in such pious activities to meet their worldly needs without coming to God with the intention of knowing God in life.

Following this, God says through Hosea, "They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow:" (Hosea 7: 16). Which means that they have changed their lifestyles and returned to God, but they have not truly returned to the Most High God. This is what is said, "They return, but not to the Most High."

Beloved, this is the reason why God often does not answer us. That is, people expect a liberation for that time but do not want to achieve a permanent liberation. They have no idea to know God in their life.

However, God, out of His love for people, sometimes gives temporary relief to such people when His servants pray. But that is not enough. It is not always possible to find pastors to pray for us. If a person is persistently unrepentant, God may leave him without deliverance. Further, physical deliverance is not our goal; Rather, we must know God and become worthy of eternal life.

We must not be like men who gather for grain and wine and turn away from God. We should seek Him with the desire to know Him in life and gain the experience of God. This is God's expectation of us. Let us commit ourselves to living a life according to His will.

என் வசனத்துக்கு நடுங்குகின்றவன் / HE WHO TRUMBLE MY WORDS

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,023,              நவம்பர் 16, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை

"என்னுடைய கரம் இவைகளையெல்லாம் சிருஷ்டித்ததினால் இவைகளெல்லாம் உண்டாயின என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; ஆனாலும் சிறுமைப்பட்டு, ஆவியில் நொறுங்குண்டு, என் வசனத்துக்கு நடுங்குகிறவனையே நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பேன்." ( ஏசாயா 66 : 2 )

இன்றைய வசனம் தேவன் மனிதர்கள்மேல் எவ்வளவு ஈடுபாடு கொண்டுள்ளார் என்பதையும் அவர்களை மீட்டெடுக்க அவர் எவ்வளவு ஆர்வமுள்ளவராக இருக்கின்றார் என்பதனையும்  விளக்குகின்றது. இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தின் முந்தின வசனமானது இதனோடு தொடர்புடையது. அதில் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், "வானம் எனக்குச் சிங்காசனம், பூமி எனக்குப் பாதபடி; நீங்கள் எனக்குக் கட்டும் ஆலயம் எப்படிப்பட்டது? நான் தங்கியிருக்கும் ஸ்தலம் எப்படிப்பட்டது?"( ஏசாயா 66 : 1 )

அன்பானவர்களே, வானத்திலுள்ள சூரியன், சந்திரன், விண்மீன்கள், பால்வெளிவீதி, சூரிய குடும்பத்தைப்போல பல்வேறு சூரிய குடும்பங்கள் இவையெல்லாமே தேவன் படைத்தவைதான். இவைகளுக்குமேல் அதிகாரம் செலுத்தும் சிங்காசனம் அவருடையது. இவைகளோடு  ஒப்பிடும்போது பூமி அவர் கால் வைக்கும் சிறு படி போன்றதுதான்.  ஆனால் இன்று மனிதர்கள் இந்தக் கால்படிபோன்ற பூமியில் அவருக்கென்று ஆலயம் கட்டுவதையும் ஆலயப்பணிசெய்வதையும் பெருமையாக எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். 

அத்தகைய மனிதர்களைப்பார்த்துத்  தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், வானம் எனக்குச் சிங்காசனம், பூமி எனக்குப் பாதபடி; நீங்கள் எனக்குக் கட்டும் ஆலயம் எப்படிப்பட்டது? நான் தங்கியிருக்கும் ஸ்தலம் எப்படிப்பட்டது? என்னுடைய கரம் இவைகளையெல்லாம் சிருஷ்டித்ததினால் இவைகளெல்லாம் உண்டாயின என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; ஆனாலும் சிறுமைப்பட்டு, ஆவியில் நொறுங்குண்டு, என் வசனத்துக்கு நடுங்குகிறவனையே நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பேன்." அதாவது மனிதனே, நான் இவ்வளவு பெரிய ஆகாய விரிவை உண்டாகியிருக்கிறேன். இதற்குமுன் நீ எனக்குக் கட்டும் ஆலயம் எம்மாத்திரம்? 

நான் இவைகளை நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பதில்லை. சிறுமைப்பட்டு, ஆவியில் நொறுங்குண்டு, என் வசனத்துக்கு நடுங்குகிறவனையே நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பேன். எனது வசனத்தைக்கைக் கொண்டு, எனக்கு அஞ்சி, எனக்கு ஏற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்பவனை நான் நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பேனேத் தவிர  வேறு எவரையும் நான் நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பதில்லை. நான் உண்டாக்கின பெரிய ஆகாய விரிவையோ அவற்றில் நான் உருவாக்கிய பல்வேறு கிரகங்களையோ நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பதைவிட எனக்குப் பயப்பட்டு எனக்கு ஏற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ விரும்பும் மனிதனையே நான் நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பேன் என்கின்றார் பரிசுத்தரான கர்த்தர். 

இதற்குக் காரணம் தேவன் மனிதனைத் தனது சாயலாகவும் ரூபமாகவும் உண்டாக்கியதுதான். (ஆதியாகமம் - 1;26) தேவன் தனது சாயலையும் ரூபத்தையும் வேறு எந்த உயிரினங்களுக்கும் கொடுக்கவில்லை. மனிதனை மட்டுமே அப்படிப் படைத்தார். அப்படிப் படைக்கப்பட்ட மனிதன் அந்தச் சாயலை காப்பாற்றிக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்று அவர் விரும்புகின்றார். எனவே, தான் எவ்வளவோ பெரிய படைப்புகளைப் படைத்திருந்தாலும் அவற்றைவிட தனது கட்டளைகளுக்கு நடுங்கிக் கீழ்ப்படியும் மனிதனை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கின்றார்.

இப்படி அவர் மனிதனை நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பதால்தான் நமது ஜெபங்களுக்குப் பதில் தருகின்றார். அன்பானவர்களே, எனவே நாம் அவரது வசனங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதற்கு  அதிக முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கவேண்டுமேத் தவிர இதர சடங்கு சம்பிரதாயங்களுக்கல்ல. ஆம், அவருக்காகச் செய்யும் எந்த மேலான செயல்பாடுகளையும்விட அவருக்குக் கீழ்படிவத்தையே தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார் எனும் எண்ணம் நமக்குள் எப்போதும் இருக்குமானால் ஆன்மிகம் எனும் பெயரில் செய்யப்படும் தேவையில்லாத காரியங்களுக்கு நாம் முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கமாட்டோம்.

             HE WHO TRUMBLE MY WORDS

‘AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION - No:- 1,023,                             Thursday, November 16, 2023

"For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word." ( Isaiah 66 : 2 )

Today's verse explains how much God is involved with people and how eager he is to redeem them. The previous verse of today's meditation is related to this. In it God says, "Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?" (Isaiah 66: 1)

Beloved, the sun, moon, constellations, milky way, solar system in the sky are all created by God. His is the throne of authority over these. Compared to these, the earth is like a small step on which he steps. But today people take pride in building a temple and doing temple work on this footstep like earth.

God says to such people, Heaven is my throne and earth is my footstool; How is the temple you are building for me? How was my accommodation? For my hand hath made all these things, saith the Lord; but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. That is, man, I have been created such a vast space. What temple could you build for me before this?

I do not look at these. I will look upon him who is humbled and crushed in spirit and trembles at my word. I look to none other than the one who lives according to my verse, fears me, and lives according to me. Rather than looking at the great expanse of sky that I have created or the various planets that I have created in them, I will look at the man who fears me and wants to live a life that suits me, says the Holy Lord.

This is because God made man in His own image and likeness. (Genesis – 1:26) God did not give His likeness to any other creature. He only created man that way. He wants man so created to preserve that image. Therefore, no matter how great works He has created, He looks to man who trembles and obeys His commands.

He answers our prayers because He looks at man like this. Beloved, therefore we should give more importance to obedience to His verses and not to other ritualistic practices. Yes, if we always have the idea that God prefers obedience to Him more than any higher activities done for Him, we will not give importance to unnecessary things done in the name of spirituality.

பழையதாகாத செருப்புக்கள் / NON WAXEN SANDALS

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,022,             நவம்பர் 15, 2023 புதன்கிழமை

"கர்த்தராகிய நான் உங்கள் தேவன் என்று நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படிக்கு, நான் நாற்பது வருஷம் உங்களை வனாந்தரத்தில் நடத்தினேன்; உங்கள் மேலிருந்த வஸ்திரம் பழையதாய்ப் போகவும் இல்லை, உங்கள் காலிலிருந்த பாதரட்சைகள் பழையதாய்ப் போகவும் இல்லை." ( உபாகமம் 29 : 5 )

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை தேவன் எகிப்திலிருந்து விடுவித்து கானானை நோக்கி நடத்தியபோது பல அற்புத அதிசயங்களைச்  செய்தார். அவற்றில் நாம், செங்கடலை தேவன் பிரித்தது, கரைபுரண்டு ஓடிய யோர்தானைத் திருப்பியது, எரிகோ கோட்டையினை இடிந்துவிழச் செய்தது, மன்னா பொழிந்தது, அதிசயமாகப்  பாலை நிலத்தில் இறைச்சியும், தண்ணீரும்  மக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தது இவற்றையே பெரிதாகப் பேசுகின்றோம். ஆனால் அவற்றிற்கு இணையான அதிசயத்தைத்தான்  இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

நாம் ஓர்  ஆண்டுக்குள் எத்தனைச் செருப்புக்கள் மாற்றுகின்றோம் என்று எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள். இத்தனைக்கும் நாம் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் நடந்ததுபோல் பல கிலோமீட்டர்தூரம் வனாந்தரத்தில் நடப்பதில்லை.  ஆனால் அந்த மக்கள் 40 ஆண்டுகள் ஒரே செருப்பை அணிந்தபடி நடந்தனர். அந்தச் செருப்புகள் அறுந்துபோகவோ  பழையவைகளாகவோ இல்லை.  இந்த அதிசயத்தையே மோசே, "உங்கள் காலிலிருந்த பாதரட்சைகள் பழையதாய்ப் போகவும் இல்லை." என்று கூறுகின்றார். ஆம் அவை 40 ஆண்டுகள் அவை புதிதாகவே இருந்தன. 

பாலை நிலத்தில் புதிய செருப்புக்களை வாங்கி உபயோகிக்க முடியாது, மக்கள் உடனேயே தயாரித்து அணியவும்  முடியாது. எனவே தேவன் இந்த அதிசயத்தைச் செய்தார்.  இதுபோலவே அவர்கள் அணிந்திருந்த ஆடைகள் பழையதாகிப்போகவும் இல்லை என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது எவ்வளவு பெரிய அதிசயம்!!! ஆனால் நாம் இவற்றை அதிகமாக எண்ணிப்பார்ப்பதில்லை. 

அன்பானவர்களே, இதே சிந்தனையோடு நாம் பரம கானானை நோக்கிப்  பயணிக்கும் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டுச் சிந்தனைக்கு வருவோம். புதிய ஏற்பாட்டில் நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு இரட்சிப்படையும்போது இரட்சிப்பின் ஆடை அணிவிக்கப்படுகின்றோம். இந்த ஆடை இல்லாமல் நாம் பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தில் நுழைய முடியாது.  இந்த ஆடை என்பது பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கு அடையாளம். "சுத்தமும் பிரகாசமுமான மெல்லிய வஸ்திரம் தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி அவளுக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டது; அந்த மெல்லிய வஸ்திரம் பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய நீதிகளே." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 19 : 8 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதனை நாம் பழையதாகிக்  கந்தையாகாமல் காத்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் இதனைத் திருமண ஆடைக்கு ஒப்பிட்டுத்  தனது உவமையில் கூறினார். "சிநேகிதனே, நீ கலியாண வஸ்திரமில்லாதவனாய் இங்கே எப்படி வந்தாய் என்று கேட்டான்; அதற்கு அவன் பேசாமலிருந்தான். அப்பொழுது, ராஜா பணிவிடைக்காரரை நோக்கி: இவனைக் கையுங்காலும் கட்டிக் கொண்டுபோய், அழுகையும் பற்கடிப்பும் உண்டாயிருக்கிற புறம்பான இருளிலே போடுங்கள் என்றான்." ( மத்தேயு 22 : 13 )

இதுபோலவே செருப்புகளைப்பற்றியும் நாம் அறியலாம். சமாதானத்தின் சுவிசேஷம் எனும் கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்தியே  அந்த செருப்புகள். இதனை அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல்,  "சமாதானத்தின் சுவிசேஷத்திற்குரிய ஆயத்தம் என்னும் பாதரட்சையைக் கால்களிலே தொடுத்தவர்களாயும்;" ( எபேசியர் 6 : 15 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். ஆம், நமது வேத வசனங்களின் அறிவும் எப்போதும் அவற்றைச் சரியாகப் பயன்படுத்த ஆயுதமாகவும் அதற்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கையும் உள்ளவர்களாய் அவை பழையதாகிவிடாமல் எப்போதும் புதிதாகக் காக்கப்படவேண்டும். 

"கர்த்தர் செய்த பெரிய சோதனைகளையும், பெரிய அடையாளங்களையும், அற்புதங்களையும் கண்ணாரக் கண்டீர்களே." ( உபாகமம் 29 : 3 ) என்று மோசே கூறுகின்றார். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, அவருக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வாழும்போது, அன்று இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குச் செய்ததுபோல ஆவிக்குரிய இஸ்ரவேலரான நமது வாழ்க்கையிலும் நமது இரட்சிப்பின் ஆடையும்   நமது வேத அறிவும், அவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்தும் ஆயத்தமும்  சுவிசேஷ வாழ்க்கையும்  பழையதாகாமல் காத்துக்கொள்ள தேவன் வழிசெய்து அதிசயமாக நம்மையும்  நடத்துவார்.

            NON WAXEN SANDALS

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION - No: - 1,022,                Wednesday, November 15, 2023

"And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot." (Deuteronomy 29: 5)

When God led the people of Israel out of Egypt and into Canaan, he did many miracles. Among them, we are talking about God's parting of the Red Sea, turning back the overflowing Jordan, destroying the Jericho fortress, raining manna, miraculously giving people meat and water in the wilderness. But today's verse tells a miracle like them.

Think how many sandals we change in a year. However, we do not walk many kilo meters in the wilderness like the people of Israel did. But those people walked wearing the same sandal for 40 years. It was this miracle that Moses said, “thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot." Yes, they were 40 years new.

New sandals cannot be bought and used in the wilderness, and people cannot also make them and wear them immediately. Similarly, it is said that the clothes they wore never get old. What a miracle this is!!! But we don't think too much of these.

Beloved, it is with this same thought that we come to the New Testament thought of journeying toward the eternal Canaan. In the New Testament we are clothed with salvation when our sins are forgiven and we are saved. Without this garment we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. This garment is the sign of the saints. "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." (Revelation 19: 8) We have to keep it carefully not becoming old.

Jesus Christ also said this in his parable. "And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." ( Matthew 22 : 13 )

Similarly, we can know about sandals. Those sandals are Christ's preparation of gospel of peace. This is what the apostle Paul said, "And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;" (Ephesians 6: 15) Yes, the knowledge of our scriptures is always a weapon to use them properly and we have to live according to them so they don't become old and they should always be kept fresh.

"The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:" (Deuteronomy 29: 3) says Moses. Yes, dear ones, as spiritual Israelites, when we give ourselves to Him and live, as He did to the people of Israel that day, God will miraculously treat us to keep our salvation clothing and our knowledge of scriptures, our preparation to use them and our evangelical life from not becoming old in our lives.
