 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,021,            நவம்பர் 14, 2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"நீங்கள் வளரும்படி, புதிதாய்ப் பிறந்த குழந்தைகளைப்போல, திருவசனமாகிய களங்கமில்லாத ஞானப்பாலின்மேல் வாஞ்சையாயிருங்கள்." ( 1 பேதுரு 2 : 3 )

அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு ஆவிக்குரிய மக்களுக்குக்  கூறும் ஆலோசனைதான் இன்றைய தியான வசனம். நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை வாழ்வில் அறிந்தால் மட்டும் போதாது, அந்த அனுபவத்தில் தினமும் வளர்ச்சியடையவேண்டும். அது எப்படி வளருவது? வெறும் சடங்குகளையும் மத சம்பிரதாயங்களையும் கடைபிடிப்பதால் அல்ல; மாறாக, திருவசனமாகிய ஞானப்பாலை உட்கொள்வதால்தான். அதனால்தான் பேதுரு, "நீங்கள் வளரும்படி, புதிதாய்ப் பிறந்த குழந்தைகளைப்போல, திருவசனமாகிய களங்கமில்லாத ஞானப்பாலின்மேல் வாஞ்சையாயிருங்கள்" என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

இந்த உலகத்தில் மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளிடம் பெரிய அரசியல் தலைவர்களையும், விஞ்ஞானிகளையும், அறிவு மேதைகளையும் சுட்டிக்காட்டி அவர்களைப்போல மாறவேண்டும் என்று அறிவுரை கூறுவதுண்டு. ஆனால் நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து குழந்தைகளுக்கு பெரியவர்கள் மாதிரியல்ல; மாறாக பெரியவர்களுக்குத்தான் குழந்தைகள் மாதிரி என்று கூறினார். ஆம், "நீங்கள் மனந்திரும்பிப் பிள்ளைகளைப்போல் ஆகாவிட்டால், பரலோகராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கமாட்டீர்கள் என்று, மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( மத்தேயு 18 : 3 ) என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

இந்த உலகத்தில் நாம் பல பெரியவர்களைப் பார்த்து அவர்களைப்போல மாறிட முயற்சி செய்யலாம். ஆனால் அவை இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கைக்கு மட்டுமே உதவும். மட்டுமல்ல நாம் பெரியவர்கள் என எண்ணியிருக்கும் மனிதர்களது ஒரு பக்கம்தான் நமக்குத் தெரியும். பல பிரபலமான பெரிய மனிதர்களது வாழ்க்கை பாவ இருள் நிறைந்ததாகவே இருக்கின்றது. எனவே, அவர்களை நாம் முன்மாதிரியாகக் கொள்ள முடியாது. 

நாம் பெரியவர்களைப்போல அல்ல; மாறாக, குழந்தைகள்போல மாற வேண்டும். நாம் உள்ளத்தில் குழந்தைகள்போல ஆகாவிட்டால் பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தில் நுழைய முடியாது. மனம்திரும்பிய வாழ்க்கையே குழந்தைக்குரிய வாழ்வு. பின்பு, இன்றைய தியானத்தில் பேதுரு கூறுவதுபோல வசனமாகிய ஞானப்பாலை உட்கொள்ளும் ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட்டு அதனைப் பருகி வளரவேண்டும். 

மேதைகளையும், அறிஞர்களையும், செல்வந்தர்களையும்  இராஜாக்களையும், முதல்வர்களையும் பிரதமர்களையும் என்னிடம் வருவதற்கு இடம்கொடுங்கள் ஏற்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறவில்லை, மாறாக,    "சிறு பிள்ளைகள் என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறதற்கு இடங்கொடுங்கள்; அவர்களைத் தடை பண்ணாதிருங்கள்; பரலோகராஜ்யம் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுடையது" ( மத்தேயு 19 : 14 ) என்று கூறினார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, தேவ வசனங்கள் வல்லமையானவை, அதிகாரமுள்ளவை. அவற்றை நாம் முதலில் வாசித்து அறியவேண்டும். அப்படி அறிய அறிய நமது உள்ளம் குழந்தைகளுக்குரிய கபடமில்லாத உள்ளம்  போல  மாறும். அப்போது அந்த வசனங்கள் கூறுவதன்படி வாழ முயல்வோம்.  அதுவே பலம் கொள்ளுதல். அப்படி நாம் பலம்கொள்ளும்போது நாம் வாசித்த தேவ வார்த்தைகள் நமது வாழ்க்கையில் வல்லமையாய்ச் செயல்படுவதை நாம் கண்டுணரலாம். 

களங்கமில்லாத ஞானப்பாலாகிய  திருவசனங்களை அன்றாடம் உட்கொண்டு ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் பலம் கொள்வோம். குழந்தைகளைப்போலாகி பரலோக ராஜ்யத்துக்கு உரிமையுள்ளவர்களாக மாறுவோம்.

"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:" (1 Peter 2: 2)

Today's meditation verse is the advice of the apostle Peter to spiritual people. It is not enough for us to know Christ in life, we must grow in that experience daily. How can we grow? Not just by observing rituals and religious ceremonies; On the contrary, it by consuming the word of God. That's why Peter says, As newborn babies, desire milk we have to desire in the word of God to grow up.

In this world, people point to great political leaders, scientists and intellectuals and advise their children to become like them. But our Lord Jesus Christ said children are model to adults. Yes, "And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." ( Matthew 18 : 3 ) said Jesus Christ.

We can look at many great people in this world and try to become like them. But they only serve this worldly life. Not only that, we know only one side of the people we consider great. The lives of many famous great men are full of sinful darkness. Therefore, we cannot take them as role models.

We are not to become like adults; Instead, become like children. Unless we become like children in spirit, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. A repentant life is a childish life. Then, as Peter says in today's meditation, there should be a desire to consume the milk of wisdom and grow by drinking it.

Jesus Christ did not say, "Give place to the wise, the learned, the rich, the kings, the chief ministers, and the prime ministers to come to me, "But Jesus said, suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19: 14)

Beloved, God's words are mighty and powerful. We should read them first. Knowing that, our soul becomes like a childlike soul without hypocrisy. Then we will try to live according to those verses. That is empowerment. When we are strengthened like that, we can see that the words of God that we have read work powerfully in our lives.

Let us daily consume the unblemished milk of wisdom and gain strength in spiritual life. Let us become like children and be entitled to the kingdom of heaven.

உலகத் துக்கம் / WORLDLY SORROW

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,020,               நவம்பர் 13, 2023 திங்கள்கிழமை

"தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் பின்பு மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறதற்கு இடமில்லாமல் இரட்சிப்புக்கேதுவான மனந்திரும்புதலை உண்டாக்குகிறது; லெளகிக துக்கமோ மரணத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறது." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 7 : 10 )

தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம், உலகத் துக்கம் இரண்டுக்கும் வித்தியாசம் உண்டு.  உலகத் துக்கம் கொள்வோமானால் நமக்கு நிம்மதி இருக்காது. நம்மை மற்றவர்களோடு ஒப்பிட்டு அவர்களுக்குள்ளதுபோல எதுவும் நமக்கு இல்லை எனும் எண்ணம் நம்மை வாட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கும். இன்று மருத்துவர்கள் கூறுவது, மனிதர்களது பல்வேறு நோய்களுக்குக்  காரணம் மனக்கவலை எனும் உலகத் துக்கம். தீராத கவலை பல நோய்களை நமது உடலில் கொண்டு வருகின்றது. ஆம், மருத்துவ உலகம் இன்று கண்டறிந்து  கூறியுள்ள உண்மையினைத்தான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல்,    "லெளகிக துக்கமோ மரணத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறது." என்று கூறியுள்ளார். 

இதற்கு மாறாக நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய துக்கம் எனும் தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் கொள்வோமானால் நாம் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவோம்.  ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இரட்சிப்படைய முதல்படி நம்மைக்குறித்து, நமது பாவ வாழ்கையினைக்குறித்தத்  துக்கம். ஒரு தவறான செயல் செய்துவிடும்போது ஐயோ, நான்  இப்படிச் செய்துவிட்டேனே என வருந்துவது; அல்லது நான் இப்படிச் செய்திருக்கக் கூடாது எனும் எண்ணம் நமது மனதினில் எழுவது. ஆம், இது ஆவிக்குரிய துக்கம். இத்தகைய துக்கமடைவதை தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். காரணம், இத்தகைய "தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் பின்பு தொடர்ந்து நாம் அதனைக்குறித்து மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறதற்கு இடமில்லாமல் இரட்சிப்புக்கேதுவான மனந்திரும்புதலை உண்டாக்குகிறது" என்கின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்த்தலர். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் தனது மலைப் பிரசங்கத்தில்,  "துயரப்படுகிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் ஆறுதலடைவார்கள்." ( மத்தேயு 5 : 4 ) என்று கூறினார். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக்  கூறியதை நாம் பெரும்பாலும் சரியாகப் புரிந்துகொள்வதில்லை. அது எப்படித் துயரப்படுபவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்களாக இருக்க முடியும்? என்று எண்ணுவோம். ஆனால் இயேசு தொடர்ந்து  கூறுகின்றார், "அவர்கள் ஆறுதல் அடைவார்கள்" என்று. 

தேவன் கொடுக்கும் சமாதானமே ஆறுதல் தரும்.  நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் கொள்ளும்போது தேவன் நம்மைத் தனது  இரட்சிப்பினால் நிரப்புவார். அப்போது உலகம் கொடுக்க இயலாத சமாதானம் நம்மை நிரப்பும். எனவேதான் அத்தகைய துயரப்படுபவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

பெரும்பாலும் மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் மனதில் ஆவிக்குரிய துக்கம் கொள்வது அரிதாகவே இருக்கின்றது. "அவன் / அவள் அப்படிப் பேசியது தப்புதானே? பின் நான் பதிலுக்குப் பேசியது மட்டும் எப்படித் தப்பாக இருக்க முடியும்?" என்று எண்ணுவது; அல்லது  லஞ்சம் வாங்கிவிட்டு, "இதெல்லாம் பெரிய தப்பு கிடையாது, இப்போ யார் லஞ்சம் வாங்காமல் இருக்கிறாங்க?.. நான் சும்மாவா வாங்கினேன் பதிலுக்கு நானும் பணம் தந்தவருக்கு நன்மை செய்திருக்கிறேனே?" என எண்ணுவது அல்லது, "எனது மாதச் சம்பளம் குறைவுதான். அதனை வைத்து எப்படிக் குடும்பத் தேவையைச் சமாளிக்கமுடியும்?" எனத் தவறை நியாயப்படுத்துவது என்றே பலர் பலவேளையில் இருக்கின்றனர். 

எனக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒருவர் ஒரு அரசு அலுவலகத்தில் வேலைபார்த்துவந்தார். அவரது குணம் தனது உயர் அதிகாரிகளையும் உடன் பணியாளர்களையும் குறித்து தொடர்ந்து மேலிடத்துக்கு மொட்டைக்கடிதம் அனுப்புவது. பலமுறை இவரது மொட்டைக்கடிதங்கள் பரிசீலிக்கப்பட்டு இவர் கூறுவது தவறு என்று நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டது. இவரிடம் பலரும் அதிகம் பேசுவதில்லை. மதுவுக்கு அடிமையாகி  மனச் சமாதானமில்லாமல் இறுதியில் தற்கொலை செய்து வாழ்வை முடித்துக்கொண்டார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இப்படி இருப்போமானால் நாம் தேவனுக்கும் அவரது இரட்சிப்புக்கும் தூரமானவர்களாகவே இருப்போம். பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலரது வார்த்தைகள் எப்போது நமது இருதயத்தில் ஒரு பயத்தையும்  எச்சரிப்பையும்  உண்டாக்கவேண்டும்.  தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் பின்பு நமக்கு இரட்சிப்புக்கேதுவான மனந்திரும்புதலை உண்டாக்குகிறது; உலகத் துக்கமோ மரணத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறது. நமது தவறான செயல்பாடுகளை எண்ணித் துக்கம்கொள்வோம்; தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம், ஆறுதல் பெறுவோம்.

                     WORLDLY SORROW

"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." (2 Corinthians 7: 10)

There is a difference between godly sorrow and worldly sorrow. If we grieve for the worldly things, we will have no peace. Comparing ourselves with others and thinking that, we have nothing like what they have will wither us. Doctors today say that the cause for various human diseases is worldly sorrow called anxiety. Unresolved anxiety brings many diseases in our body. Yes, the medical world has discovered the truth today that the Apostle Paul said, “sorrow of the world worketh death.”

On the contrary, we will be saved if we grieve according to God, which is spiritual grief. Yes, beloved, the first step to salvation is sorrow for ourselves, for our sinful life. When one commits a wrong act, one regrets, “Oh, I have done this;'' Or the thought arises in our mind that, “I should not have done this”. Yes, it is spiritual grief. God likes such sorrow. The reason is that such godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of."

Jesus Christ also said in his Sermon on the Mount, "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5: 4) We often misunderstand what Jesus Christ said. How can those who mourn be blessed? Let's assume that. But Jesus goes on to say, "They shall be comforted."

God's peace is comforting. God will fill us with His salvation when we grieve spiritually. Then the peace that the world cannot give will fill us. That is why Jesus Christ says that those who suffer are blessed.

Most people rarely have spiritual sorrow in their minds. "Is it wrong for him/her to speak like that? Then how can it be wrong for me to speak back?" Thinking that; Or after taking a bribe, says, "This is not a big mistake, who doesn't take a bribe now? I bought it for nothing, have I also helped the person who gave the money?" Thinking like this or, "My monthly salary is low. How can I meet the family needs with that?" Many times, there are many people who want to justify their mistakes like that.

Someone I know worked in a government office. His nature is to constantly send complaint letters to higher officials about his superiors and co-workers. Many times, his complaint letters have been examined and was proved wrong. His colleagues do not talk to him much. He became addicted to alcohol and eventually committed suicide without peace of mind.

Yes beloved, if we remain like this, we will be far from God and His salvation. The words of the Apostle Paul should strike a fear and a warning in our hearts. Godly sorrow then produces a repentance in us; Worldly sorrow causes death. Let us mourn over our misdeeds; Let us seek God's forgiveness and comfort.

உலக ஞானம் / WORLDLY WISDOM

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,019,             நவம்பர் 12, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் தேவனும் மகிமையின் பிதாவுமானவர் தம்மை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கான ஞானத்தையும் தெளிவையும் அளிக்கிற ஆவியை உங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளவேண்டுமென்றும்....." ( எபேசியர் 1 : 17 )

ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்விலும் உலக வாழ்விலும் நாம் சிறப்புற விளங்கவேண்டுமென்றால் நமக்கு தேவனை அறியக்கூடிய ஞானம் அவசியம். இந்த ஞானம் இல்லாமல் நாம் வெறுமனே உலக ஞானத்தையே முன்னுரிமை கொடுத்துத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருப்போமானால் நமது வாழ்க்கை பரிதபிக்கக்கூடிய ஒன்றாகவே மாறிவிடும். இதனாலேயே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் தேவனும் மகிமையின் பிதாவுமானவர் தம்மை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கான ஞானத்தையும் தெளிவையும் அளிக்கிற ஆவியை உங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளவேண்டுமென்று" வேண்டுகின்றார். 

உலக ஞானத்தையே விரும்பி அதனால் தேவனையும் தனது நாட்டையும் கெடுத்த ஒரு மனிதன்தான் சாலமோன். தேவன் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி உனக்கு என்னவேண்டும் என்று கேள் என்று கூறியபோது சாலமோன், "உமது ஜனங்களை நியாயம் விசாரிக்கவும், நன்மை தீமை இன்னதென்று வகையறுக்கவும், அடியேனுக்கு ஞானமுள்ள இருதயத்தைத் தந்தருளும்; ஏராளமாயிருக்கிற இந்த உமது ஜனங்களை நியாயம் விசாரிக்க யாராலே ஆகும் என்றான்.'( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 3 : 9 )

சாலமோன் தேவனிடம் கேட்டது முழுக்க முழுக்க உலக ஆசீர்வாதத்தை முன்னிறுத்தி வேண்டிய உலக ஞானம். ஆனால் தேவன் அதனை விரும்பினார் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. தேவன் இப்படிக் கேட்டதை தேவன் பாராட்டினார். தேவன் சாலமோனுக்கு இரண்டுமுறை தரிசனமானார். அவன் 3000 நீதிமொழிகளைச் சொன்னான். ஆனாலும் அன்பானவர்களே, அவன் தேவ ஞானத்தைப் பெறாமலேயே போனான். 

காரணம், அவனது பெண்ணாசை. அவனுக்கு 300 மனைவிகளும் 700 மறு மனைவிகளும் இருந்தனர். ( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 11 : 3 ). அனைவரும் தேவன் விலகிய பிற இனத்துப் பெண்கள்.  அவர்கள் அவனது மனதை மாற்றிப் பிற தெய்வங்களை வணங்கச்செய்தனர். "சாலொமோன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல கர்த்தரைப் பூரணமாய்ப் பின்பற்றாமல், கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்." ( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 11 : 6 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனைப் பற்றி  அறியும்போது மட்டுமே ஒருவன் பாவத்துக்கு விலகி வாழ முடியும். இரண்டுமுறை தேவன் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமானபின்னரும் சாலமோன் தேவனைப் பற்றி அறிந்திருந்தானேத்   தவிர தேவனைச் சரியாக  அறியவில்லை. தேவனை அறிந்திருப்பானேயானால்  அவன் பிற தெய்வங்களை நாடிப்போயிருக்கமாட்டான். ஆம், அவனுக்குத் தேவனை அறியும் ஞானம் இல்லை; அதனை அவன் கேட்கவுமில்லை.

"ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனுக்கு இரண்டு விசை தரிசனமாகி, அந்நிய தேவர்களைப் பின்பற்ற வேண்டாம் என்று கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தும், அவன் கர்த்தரை விட்டுத் தன் இருதயத்தைத் திருப்பி, அவர் கற்பித்ததைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போனதினால் கர்த்தர் அவன்மேல் கோபமானார்."( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 11 : 9,10 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். முதலில் சாலமோன் ஞானத்தைக் கேட்டபோது மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்த கர்த்தர் இப்போது அவன்மேல் கோபமானார் என்று கூப்பட்டுள்ளது. மட்டுமல்ல, இஸ்ரவேல் நாட்டையே இரண்டு கூறாக்கிப்போட்டார் தேவன்.  

அன்பானவர்களே, எனவே நாம் கவனமாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். தேவனை அறியும்  ஞானத்தையும்  தெளிவை அளிக்கின்ற ஆவியையும் நாம் தேவனிடம் கேட்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். இதனாலேயே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் நமக்கு இந்த அறிவுரையினைக் கூறுகின்றார். தேவ ஞானம் வரும்போது நாம் உலக காரிங்களிலும் ஞானத்துடன் நடக்க முடியும். இல்லையானால் உலக ஞானத்தையே தேடிய சாலமோனின் நிலைமையே  நமக்கும்  ஏற்படும்.

                                    WORLDLY WISDOM

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:" (Ephesians 1: 17)

If we want to excel in spiritual life and worldly life, we need wisdom to know God. Without this wisdom, if we are simply seeking worldly wisdom as a priority, our lives will turn out to be miserable. This is why the Apostle Paul prays that, “God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him”

Solomon was an example man who wanted worldly wisdom and thus spoiled his life and his country. When God appeared to him and told him to ask what you want, Solomon said, "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?" (1 Kings 3: 9)

What Solomon asked of God was worldly wisdom that should presuppose worldly blessing. But it is said that God willed it. God appreciated him when God heard this. God appeared to Solomon twice. With his wisdom he spoke 3000 proverbs. But dear ones, he left without attaining divine wisdom.

The reason is his womanizing. He had 300 wives and 700 concubines. (1 Kings 11:3). All are strange women forbidden by God, who made him turn away from God. They changed his mind and made him worship other gods. "And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.' (1 Kings 11: 6)

Yes, dear ones, one can live away from sin only when he knows  God. Even after God appeared to him twice, Solomon knew about God but did not know God. If he had known God, he would not have sought other gods. Yes, he has no wisdom to know God; He did not also sought it.

"And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded." (1 Kings 11: 9,10) It was said that God, who was pleased when Solomon heard wisdom at first, is now angry with him. Not only that, God divided the nation of Israel into two nations.

Beloved, therefore we must be careful. We need to ask God for the wisdom to know God and the Spirit that gives clarity. This is why the apostle Paul gives us this advice in today's meditation verse. When divine wisdom comes, we can walk with wisdom in worldly affairs also. If not, we will be in the same situation as Solomon who sought worldly wisdom alone.

ஆமணக்குச்செடி அனுபவம் / CASTOR (GOURD) PLANT EXPERIENCE

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,018,               நவம்பர் 11, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"யோனாவுடைய தலையின்மேல் நிழலுண்டாயிருக்கவும், அவனை அவனுடைய மனமடிவுக்கு நீங்கலாக்கவும் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் ஒரு ஆமணக்குச்செடியை முளைக்கக் கட்டளையிட்டு, அதை அவன்மேல் ஓங்கி வளரப்பண்ணினார்; அந்த ஆமணக்கின்மேல் யோனா மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டான்." ( யோனா 4 : 6 )

நேற்றைய தியானத்தில் நாம் எலியாவின் சூரைச்செடி அனுபவத்தைப் பார்த்தோம். இன்றைய தியானம் யோனா தீர்க்கதரிசியின் ஆமணக்குச்செடி அனுபவத்தைக் கூறுகின்றது. எலியாவின் மனமடிவிற்கும் யோனாவின் மனமடிவிற்கும் மிகுந்த வித்தியாசம் உண்டு. எலியா தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்த பின்னரும் தனக்கு உயிரே போகக்கூடிய சூழ்நிலை ஏற்பட்டதை எண்ணி வருத்தமுற்றார்.   ஆனால் யோனாவோ, தான் கூறிய தீர்க்கதரிசனம் நிறைவேறாமல் போனதை எண்ணி வருத்தமுற்று மனமடிவிற்குள்ளானார்.

யோனா புத்தகத்தை வாசிக்கும்போது  யோனாவுக்கும் தேவனுக்கும் ஒரு குடும்பத்தில் தாய் தகப்பனோடு பிள்ளைகள் கொண்டுள்ள உறவு  போன்ற உறவு இருந்தது நமக்குப் புரியவரும். அவர் தனது அனைத்து மன எண்ணங்களையும்  தேவனோடு  பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளக்கூடிய மனிதனாக இருந்தார். பலரும் அவர் வறட்டுத்தனமான முடிவெடுத்து தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் தர்ஷீசுக்குத்  தப்பி ஓடினார் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். ஆனால் அது மெய்யல்ல. 

யோனாவுக்கு எல்லாம் ஏற்கனவே தெரிந்திருந்தது. தேவன் நினிவே நகரத்தை அழிக்கமாட்டார் என்பது அவருக்கு  ஏற்கனவே தெரியும். அதனை அவர் தேவனிடம் ஏற்கனவே கூறியிருந்தார். "நீர்தான் நினிவேயை அழிக்கமாட்டீரே பின்  நான் ஏன் அங்கு செல்லவேண்டும்? " என்று கூறினார். 

இதனை நாம் யோனாவின் ஜெபத்தின்மூலம் அறியலாம். யோனா "கர்த்தரை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி: ஆ கர்த்தாவே, நான் என் தேசத்தில் இருக்கும்போதே நான் இதைச் சொல்லவில்லையா? இதினிமித்தமே நான் முன்னமே தர்ஷீசுக்கு ஓடிப்போனேன்; நீர் இரக்கமும் மன உருக்கமும் நீடிய சாந்தமும் மிகுந்த கிருபையுமுள்ளவரும், தீங்குக்கு மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறவருமான தேவனென்று அறிவேன்."( யோனா 4 : 2 ) என்று அவர் கூறுகின்றார்.  

ஆனால் அவருக்குள் மனித பலவீனம் இருந்தது. தான் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் கூறியது நிறைவேறாவிட்டால் பின்னர் மக்கள் தன்னை தீர்க்கதரிசி என்று ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள் என்று அவர் கருதினார். எனவேதான் தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் தப்பி ஓடினார்.  நமக்கும் தேவனுக்கும் இத்தகைய புரிந்துகொள்ளும் உறவு உள்ளதா? எனவே தேவன் யோனாவைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. யோனாவைத் தனது மரணத்துக்கும் உயிர்தெழுதலுக்கும் உதாரணமாக இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறுகின்றார்.  "யோனா இரவும் பகலும் மூன்றுநாள் ஒரு பெரிய மீனின் வயிற்றில் இருந்ததுபோல, மனுஷகுமாரனும் இரவும் பகலும் மூன்றுநாள் பூமியின் இருதயத்தில் இருப்பார்." ( மத்தேயு 12 : 40 ) என்று இயேசு குறிப்பிடுவதை நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம்.

தான் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் கூறியது நிறைவேறாததால் அவர் மனமடிவடைந்து நகருக்குவெளியே சென்று ஒரு குடிசைபோட்டு அமர்ந்துகொண்டார். ஆனால் தேவன் அன்புள்ளவராதலால், யோனாவுடைய மனமடிவுக்கு நீங்கலாக்க ஒரு ஆமணக்குச்செடியை ஒரேநாளில் முளைக்கக் கட்டளையிட்டு, அதை அவன்மேல் ஓங்கி வளரப்பண்ணி ஒரே நாளில் அதனை அழித்து அதன்மூலம் யோனாவுக்கும் நமக்கும் தேவனுடைய இரக்கம் எப்படிப்பட்டது என்பதனைப் புரிய வைக்கின்றார்.

"வலதுகைக்கும் இடதுகைக்கும் வித்தியாசம் அறியாத இலட்சத்து இருபதினாயிரம்பேருக்கு அதிகமான மனுஷரும் அநேக மிருகஜீவன்களும் இருக்கிற மகா நகரமாகிய நினிவேக்காக நான் பரிதபியாமலிருப்பேனோ என்றார்." ( யோனா 4 : 11 ) ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் மனிதர்களுக்காக மட்டுமல்ல மிருகங்களுக்காகவும் இரங்குகின்றார்.  

யோனா தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்படியவில்லை என்று அற்பமாக எண்ணாமல் அவரைப்போல தேவ உறவில் வளருவோம். தனது மனதின் எண்ணங்களை யோனா தேவனோடு பகிர்ந்துகொண்டதுபோல நாமும் பகிர்ந்துகொள்வோம். அப்போது தேவன் நம்மீதும்  இரக்கம்கொள்வார். மேலான காரியங்களை வெளிப்படுத்தித் தருவார். நினிவே நகருக்கு யோனாவினால் மீட்பு உண்டானதுபோல நம்மைக்கொண்டும் பலரை நீதியின்  பாதையில் நடத்துவார்.

           CASTOR (GOURD) PLANT EXPERIENCE 

‘AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No: - 1,018,               Saturday, November 11, 2023

“And the Lord God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So, Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd” (Jonah 4:6)

In yesterday's meditation we saw Elijah's "Juniper plant experience". Today's meditation talks about the “castor plant (gourd) experience” of the prophet Jonah. There is a great difference between Elijah's depression and Jonah's depression. Elijah was saddened by the fact that even after living a life that was acceptable to God, he is in a position of lost his life. But Jonah was saddened and depressed at the fact that his prophecy had not been fulfilled.

When we read the book of Jonah, we understand that Jonah and God had a relationship like that of a child with its parents. He was a man who could share all his thoughts with God. Many believe that he made a rash decision to disobey God and flee to Tarshish. But that is not true.

Jonah already knew everything. He already knew that God would not destroy the city of Nineveh. He had already told God that. He said, "You will not destroy Nineveh, so why should I go there?"

We can learn this from Jonah's prayer. Jonah “prayed unto the Lord, and said, I pray thee O Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore, I fled before unto Tarshish: for I know that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentant thee of evil” (Jonah 4:2)   

But he had human weakness. He felt that if what he prophesied did not come true then people would not accept him as a prophet. That is why he disobeyed God and ran away. Do we have such an understanding relationship with God? So, God did not rebuke Jonah. Jesus Christ uses Jonah as an example of his death and resurrection. "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall, the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12: 40) we read that Jesus mentions.

When his prophecy was not fulfilled, Jonah became discouraged and went out of the city and settled in a hut. But because God is loving, He ordered a castor plant to sprout in one day to remove Jonah's heartbreak, made it grow above him and destroyed it in one day, thereby making Jonah and us understand how God's mercy was.

He said, “And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than six score thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand, and also much cattle?” (Jonah 4:11) Yes, dear ones, God has compassion not only for humans but also for animals.

Let's not think lightly that Jonah disobeyed God, but grow in God's relationship like him. As Jonah shared the thoughts of his heart with God, so shall we. Then God will have mercy on us. He will reveal more things to us. As Nineveh was rescued by Jonah, He will guide many of us to lead many in the path of righteousness.

சூரைச்செடி அனுபவம் / JUNIPER PLANT EXPERIENCE

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,017,              நவம்பர் 10, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"அவன் வனாந்தரத்தில் ஒருநாள் பிரயாணம் போய், ஒரு சூரைச்செடியின் கீழ் உட்கார்ந்து, தான் சாகவேண்டும் என்று கோரி: போதும் கர்த்தாவே, என் ஆத்துமாவை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்; நான் என் பிதாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் நல்லவன் அல்ல என்று சொல்லி, படுத்துக்கொண்டு நித்திரைபண்ணினான்." ( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 19 : 4, 5 )

எலியாவைப்போன்ற  "சூரைச் செடி அனுபவம்" வாழ்வில் எல்லோருக்குமே ஏற்படுவதுதான்.  இத்தனைக்கும் எலியா சாதாரண ஆள் அல்ல. அவர் வல்லமையான தேவ மனிதன். அவர் வானத்திலிருந்து அக்கினியை இறக்கி கர்த்தரே மெய்யான தேவன் என்பதை பாகால் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கு உணர்த்தியவர், இறந்தவர்களை உயிர்ப்பித்தாவர், கொடிய பஞ்சகாலம் முடியும்வரை சாறிபாத் விதவையின்  வீட்டில் மாவும் எண்ணையும் அதிசயமாக பெருகும்படிச் செய்தவர். 

மழை பெய்யாதபடி அவர் வேண்டுதல் செய்து மூன்றரை ஆண்டுகள் வானத்தை அடைந்துவிட்டார். பின்னர் அவர் வேண்டுதல் செய்தபோது வானம் மழையைப் பொழிந்தது.  இதனை அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபு, "எலியா என்பவன் நம்மைப்போலப் பாடுள்ள மனுஷனாயிருந்தும், மழைபெய்யாதபடிக்குக் கருத்தாய் ஜெபம்பண்ணினான், அப்பொழுது மூன்று வருஷமும் ஆறு மாதமும் பூமியின்மேல் மழை பெய்யவில்லை." ( யாக்கோபு 5 : 17 ) என்று நினைவுபடுத்துகின்றார்.

ஆம், இத்தனைக்கும் எலியா நம்மைப்போலப் பாடுள்ள மனிதனாகவே இருந்தார் என்று மேற்படி வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. எனவேதான் யேசபேல் அவரைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படித் தேடியபோது எலியா மனம் சோர்ந்து போனார். சூரைச்செடியின் கீழ் உட்கார்ந்து, தான் சாகவேண்டும் என்று கோரி: போதும் கர்த்தாவே, என் ஆத்துமாவை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்; நான் என் பிதாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் நல்லவன் அல்ல என்று சொல்லி, படுத்துக்கொண்டு நித்திரைபண்ணினார். 

அவர் தேவனது தீர்க்கதரிசியாக இருந்து தேவனது வார்த்தையின்படிச் செயல்பட்டதால்தான் அவருக்குப் பாடுகள். ஆம். நாம் எவ்வளவுதான் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்தாலும் உலகத்தில் நமக்கு இதுபோன்ற பாடுகளும் அனுபவங்களும் ஏற்படுவதுண்டு. 

ஆனால் தேவன் நம்மை அப்படியே விட்டுவிடுவதில்லை. சோர்ந்து படுத்திருந்த எலியாவைத் திடப்படுத்தத்  தேவன் தனது தூதனை அனுப்பினார். தூதன் கொண்டுவந்த அப்பத்தையும் தன்னீரையும் குடித்த எலியா திடன்கொண்டார். "அப்பொழுது அவன் எழுந்திருந்து புசித்துக் குடித்து, அந்த போஜனத்தின் பலத்தினால் நாற்பது நாள் இரவு பகல் ஓரேப் என்னும் தேவனுடைய பர்வதமட்டும் நடந்து போனான்." ( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 19 : 8 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அன்பானவர்களே, சூரைச்செடி அனுபவம் நமது வாழ்வில் ஏற்படும்போது நாம் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து பலமடையவேண்டும். தூதன் அளித்த அப்பதையும் தண்ணீரையும்விட மேலான அப்பமாகிய தனது உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமக்காகக் கொடுத்துள்ளார்.  

தூதன் அளித்த அப்பத்தின்  பலத்தால் எலியா  நாற்பது நாள் இரவு பகல் ஓரேப் என்னும் தேவனுடைய பர்வதமட்டும் நடந்து போனான். நாமும் நமது வாழ்க்கையில் வரும் சோர்வுகளைக் கடந்து கிறிஸ்துவின் உடலும் இரத்தமும் தரும் பலத்தால்  பரலோக சீயோனை நோக்கிச் செல்ல முடியும். சூரைச் செடி அனுபவம் நம்மைத் தேவனுக்குள் திடப்படுத்துகின்றது. அவர் இல்லாமல் நம்மால் எதனையும் செய்ய முடியாது எனும் உண்மையினை நமக்குப் புரியவைக்கின்றது.

       JUNIPER PLANT EXPERIENCE 

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION - No:- 1,017,                     Friday, November 10, 2023

"But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.” (1 Kings 19: 4)

Elijah's "Juniper plant experience" happens to everyone in life. Yet Elijah was no ordinary man. He is a mighty man of God. He is the one who get down fire from heaven and made the prophets of Baal realize that the Lord is the true God, who raised the dead, who miraculously multiplied flour and oil in the house of the widow of Zarephath until the end of the deadly famine.

He prayed for no rain and closed the sky for three and a half years. Then when he prayed, the sky began to rain. This is what the apostle James remember in New Testament as, "Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months." (James 5: 17)

Yes, the above verse says that Elijah was still a man of sorrows like us. That is why Elijah was discouraged when Jezebel sought to kill him. Sitting under the juniper plant, begging to die: Enough, Lord, take my soul; Saying that I am not better than my fathers, he lay down and slept.

Because he was a prophet of God and acted according to the word of God, he was persecuted. Yes. No matter how much we live a life worthy of God, such sufferings and bitter experiences happen to us in the world.

But God never leaves us alone. God sent his angel to strengthen the exhausted Elijah. After drinking the bread and water brought by the angel, Elijah was rebuked. "And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.' (1 Kings 19: 8)

Beloved, when we experience the "Juniper plant  experience" in our lives, we must look to the Lord Jesus Christ and be strengthened. Jesus Christ has given his body and blood for us, which is bread that is better than the bread and water given by the angel to Elijah.

With the strength of the bread given by the angel, Elijah walked forty days and nights to Oreb, the mountain of God. We too can overcome the weariness of our lives and move toward the heavenly Zion by the strength of Christ's body and blood. The "Juniper plant experience" strengthens us in God. It makes us realize that without Him we can do nothing.

உங்கள் வழிகளைச் சீர்ப்படுத்துங்கள் / AMEND YOUR WAYS

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,016,            நவம்பர் 09, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை 

"இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்: உங்கள் வழிகளையும் உங்கள் கிரியைகளையும் சீர்ப்படுத்துங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களை இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்." ( எரேமியா 7 : 3 )

நமது தேவன் பாவங்களை மன்னிக்கின்றவர் என்றாலும் மன்னிப்புக் கேட்பதை மட்டும் அவர் கருத்தில் கொள்வதில்லை. நமது வழிகளை நாம் சீர்படுத்தவேண்டுமென்று எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார். அதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில்,  "உங்கள் வழிகளையும் உங்கள் கிரியைகளையும் சீர்ப்படுத்துங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களை இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்" என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

ஒரு முறை பிறமத நண்பர் ஒருவர் என்னிடம், " கிறிஸ்தவத்தில் மன்னிப்பு பற்றி அதிகம் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. பாவம் செய்துவிட்டு மன்னிப்பும் பெறலாம் என்பது எப்படி நியாயமாக இருக்க முடியும்" என்று கேட்டார். நான் அவரிடம் கூறினேன், "பாவம் செய்துவிட்டு மன்னிப்பு பெறுவது ஒரு சடங்கல்ல; மாறாக அது ஒரு மனம் மாறுதல். இனிமேல் இப்படிப்பட்டப் பாவத்தை நான் செய்யமாட்டேன் என்று மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு உறுதியெடுப்பது. அந்த உறுதியில் நிலைத்திருக்கும் காரியங்களை செய்வது."

வேதாகமத்தில் சகேயு எனும் ஒரு மனிதனைக்குறித்து நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். இந்த சகேயு வரி வசூலிப்பவர்களின் தலைவன். அநியாயமாக வரி வசூலித்து சொத்துச் சேர்த்தவன். ஆனால் அவன் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் வந்தபோது, "ஆண்டவரே, என் ஆஸ்திகளில் பாதியை ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன், நான் ஒருவனிடத்தில் எதையாகிலும் அநியாயமாய் வாங்கினதுண்டானால், நாலத்தனையாகத் திரும்பச் செலுத்துகிறேன் என்றான்." ( லுூக்கா 19 : 8 ) ஆம், செய்த தவறை உணர்ந்து அதற்குக் கைமாறுசெய்யத் துணிந்தான். 

இதுபோன்ற செயல்களையே இன்றைய வசனத்தில் உங்கள் வழிகளையும் உங்கள் கிரியைகளையும் சீர்ப்படுத்துங்கள் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. நாம் செய்த தவறுகளை உணர்வது மட்டுமல்ல, கூடுமானவரை பாதிக்கப்பட்டவருக்கு கைமாறு செய்வது. அல்லது, அப்படிக் கைமாறு செய்ய முயலுவது. ஒருவரை நாம் ஏமாற்றியிருக்கலாம்,  அப்பொழுது திறந்த மனதுடன் அதனை அவரிடம் ஒத்துக்கொள்வது.  

நான் வெறுமனே ஜெபித்துக்கொண்டே இருப்பேன், தேவன் என்னை மன்னிக்கட்டும் என்று இருப்பது மேலான செயலல்ல. காரணம், இப்படி இருப்போமானால் நமது உள்ளான மனதில் மாற்றமில்லை என்று பொருள். ஒருவேளை பழைய சூழ்நிலை நமக்குத் திரும்புமானால் நாம் பழையதுபோன்ற தவறான வாழ்கையினையேத்  தொடருவோம் என்று பொருள். மட்டுமல்ல; நமது தேவன் அநியாயத்துக்குத் துணைபோகின்றார் என்றும் பொருளாகும்.

பாவங்களில் சாமாரிய பெண் செய்ததுபோன்ற பாவங்களும் உண்டு, சகேயு செய்த பாவம் போன்ற பாவமும் உண்டு.  விபச்சாரம் செய்தவள் அதனை நிறுத்தினால் போதும், ஆனால் பொருள், பணத்தை அபகரித்து, அல்லது லஞ்சம் வாங்கி வாழ்ந்தவர்கள் சகேயுபோல ஈடுகட்டவேண்டியதும் அவசியம். 

பிலேமோனுக்கு அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் எழுதிய நிருபத்தில் ஒநேசிமு எனும் ஒரு மனிதனைக் குறித்து எழுதுகின்றார். இந்த ஒநேசிமு தனது எஜமானாகிய பிலேமோனிடம் ஏமாற்றிவிட்டுத் தப்பிவந்த அவனது வேலைக்காரன். ஆனால் பவுல் மூலம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்டான். அவனிடம் பணம் இல்லை. ஆனால் பவுல் அதனை அப்படியே விட்டுவிடவில்லை. அவன் ஏற்படுத்திய அநியாயத்தை அவனுக்காகத் தான் செலுத்தித் தீர்ப்பேன் என்று எழுதுகின்றார்.   

"அவன் உமக்கு யாதொரு அநியாயஞ்செய்ததும், உம்மிடத்தில் கடன்பட்டதும் உண்டானால், அதை என் கணக்கிலே வைத்துக்கொள்ளும். பவுலாகிய நான் இதை என் சொந்தக்கையாலே எழுதினேன், நான் அதைச் செலுத்தித் தீர்ப்பேன். " ( பிலேமோன் 1 : 18, 19 )

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION - No:- 1,016,                   Thursday, November 09, 2023

"Thus, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place." (Jeremiah 7: 3)

Although our God forgives sins, He does not consider only asking for forgiveness. He expects us to mend our ways. That is what is said in today's meditation verse, "Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place."

A non-religious friend once asked me, "Christianity talks a lot about forgiveness. How can it be fair for one to sin and then be forgiven?" I told him, "Forgiveness after committing a sin is not a ritual; rather, it is a change of heart. Repenting and making a commitment not to commit such a sin again. Doing things that stick to that commitment."

In the Bible we read about a man named Zacchaeus. This man was the chief of the tax collectors. One who amazed wealth unjustly by collecting taxes. But when he came to Jesus Christ, he said, "Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold." (Luke 19: 8)

It is these kinds of actions that are said in today's verse to mend your ways and your deeds. Not only do we realize the wrongs we have done, but we also have to rectify our false doings. Or, attempting to do so. We may have cheated someone and then admit it to him with an open mind.

I will simply keep on praying and asking God to forgive me, and it is no longer a pleasing  act for God. The reason is that if we stay like this, it means that there is no change in our inner mind. Perhaps if the old situation returns to us, it means that we will continue to live the same wrong life as before. Not only that; It also means that our God supports injustice.

There are sins like that of the Samaritan woman, and there are sins like that of Zacchaeus. It is enough for the adulterer to stop it, but it is necessary for those who live by embezzling material, money, or taking bribes to compensate it.

In his epistle to Philemon, the apostle Paul writes about a man named Onesimus. This Onesimus was a servant of his master, Philemon, who had betrayed him and escaped. But through Paul he came to know and accept Christ. Now, he has no money. But Paul didn't leave it at that. He writes that he will pay for the injustice he has caused.

"If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account; I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it:" (Philemon 1: 18,19)

Yes, God will make us dwell in goodness as we mend our ways and our deeds.

இஸ்ரவேல் / ISRAEL

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,015,             நவம்பர் 08, 2023 புதன்கிழமை

"விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவன் வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்ட தேசத்திலே பரதேசியைப்போல சஞ்சரித்து, அந்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்திற்கு உடன் சுதந்தரராகிய ஈசாக்கோடும் யாக்கோபோடும் கூடாரங்களிலே குடியிருந்தான்;" ( எபிரெயர் 11 : 9 )

ஆபிரகாமை விசுவாசத்தின் தந்தை என்று நாம்  கூறுவதற்கு அவர் மகன் ஈசாக்கைப் பலியிடத் துணிந்தது மட்டும் காரணமல்ல; ஆரம்பம் முதலே அவரது வாழ்க்கை விசுவாச வாழ்க்கையாகவே இருந்தது. "கர்த்தர் ஆபிராமை நோக்கி: நீ உன் தேசத்தையும், உன் இனத்தையும், உன் தகப்பனுடைய வீட்டையும் விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, நான் உனக்குக் காண்பிக்கும் தேசத்துக்குப் போ. நான் உன்னைப் பெரிய ஜாதியாக்கி, உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன் பேரைப் பெருமைப்படுத்துவேன்; நீ ஆசீர்வாதமாய் இருப்பாய்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 12 : 1, 2 ) என்று கூறியதை அவர் முற்றிலுமாக நம்பினார். 

ஆபிரகாமின் விசுவாச வாழ்வை எண்ணிப்பார்க்க வியப்பாக உள்ளது. இன்று நவீன உலகத்தில் தொலைத்தொடர்பு சாதனங்களும் பயணங்களுக்கான வாகனங்களும் உள்ளதுபோல அக்காலத்தில் இல்லை. ஆனாலும் அவர் தேவனது கட்டளைக்குக்  கீழ்ப்படிந்து தனது சொந்த நாட்டை விட்டுப் புறப்படுகின்றார்.  

இன்று வாடஇந்தியாவிலுள்ள ஒரு சிறிய ஊருக்கு நாம் செல்லவேண்டுமென்றும் அங்கே தங்கி இருக்கவேண்டுமென்றும் நமக்குக் கூறப்பட்டால் எப்படி இருக்கும்? நாம் என்னவெல்லாம் எண்ணுவோம்? அங்குள்ள மொழி, உணவு, மக்கள் எதுவுமே நமக்குச் சரியாகத் தெரியாது. ஆம், அன்பானவர்களே, இப்படி ஒரு அறியாத நிலையில்தான் ஆபிரகாம்  தேவன் சொன்ன நாட்டுக்குப் புறப்பட்டார். "விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஆபிரகாம் தான் சுதந்தரமாகப் பெறப்போகிற இடத்திற்குப் போகும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டபோது, கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தான் போகும் இடம் இன்னதென்று அறியாமல் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்." ( எபிரெயர் 11 : 8 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

"அவன் வாக்குத்தத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்ட தேசத்திலே பரதேசியைப்போல சஞ்சரித்து, அந்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்திற்கு உடன் சுதந்தரராகிய ஈசாக்கோடும் யாக்கோபோடும் கூடாரங்களிலே குடியிருந்தான்;" என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. இன்று நாம் சாலை ஓரங்களில் கூடாரமடித்துத் தங்கியிருக்கும் நரிக்குறவர்களைப் பார்க்கின்றோமே அதுபோல ஆபிரகாம் பரதேசியைப்போலத் தங்கியிருந்தார்.  இத்தனைக்கும் அவர் தனது சொந்த நாட்டில் நல்ல நிலையில் வாழ்ந்தவர். ஊர் என்கின்ற கல்த்தேயருடைய நகரத்தைச் சார்ந்தவர் (ஆதியாகமம்  11:31) 

ஆபிரகாம் இத்தனை விசுவாசத்தோடு காத்திருக்கக் காரணம், " தேவன் தாமே கட்டி உண்டாக்கின அஸ்திபாரங்களுள்ள நகரத்துக்கு அவன் காத்திருந்தான்." ( எபிரெயர் 11 : 10 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. தேவன் தனது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தை மறந்துவிடவில்லை. அவரை உயர்த்தினார்.

ஆம், ஒரு மனிதன் தேவனது வார்த்தைக்கு முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து அனைத்தையும் விட்டு அவர் காட்டிய தேசத்துக்குப் புறப்பட்டு வந்ததால் அந்த ஒரு மனிதனை ஒரு தேசமாகவே தேவன் மாற்றினார். இஸ்ரவேல் தேசம் ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததிகளால் உருவானது. இன்றும் அது உலகத்தில் பல்வேறு விதங்களில் தனித்துவம் பெற்ற நாடாக உள்ளது. ஆபிரகாம் என்னை ஆசீர்வதியும் என வேண்டவில்லை. என்னை ஒரு தேசமாக மாற்றும் என்று வேண்டவில்லை. தேவனது சொல்லுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தார் அவ்வளவே.

அன்பானவர்களே, முதலில் தேவன் நம்மிடம் பேசுவதைக் கேட்கும் அனுபவத்துக்கு வரவேண்டும்; பின் அதற்குக் கீழ்படியவேண்டும். அப்போது தேவன் நம்மையும் ஆபிரகாமை ஆசீர்வதித்ததுபோல  மேலான ஆசீர்வாதத்தினால் நிரப்புவார்.

"By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:" ( Hebrews 11 : 9 )

We call Abraham the father of faith not only because he dared to sacrifice his son Isaac; His life from the beginning was a life of faith. "Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:" (Genesis 12: 1, 2) He completely believed what God said.

Abraham's life of faith is amazing to consider. Today, the modern world has telecommunications equipment and vehicles for travel that were not there in those days. Yet he obeys God's command and leaves his own country.

What will we do if today we were told to go to a small town in Northern India and stay there? What shall we count? We don't really know the language, the food, the people there. Yes, dear ones, it was in this state of ignorance that Abraham left for the land that God had promised. "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” (Hebrews 11: 8)

"He wandered as a foreigner in the land of promise, and dwelt in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs of that promise;" Today we see nomadic people pitching tents on the roadsides, and Abraham stayed like that like a homeless. Yet he lived well in his own country. Belongs to the Chaldean city of Ur (Genesis 11:31).

The reason Abraham waited with so much faith was, "For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." (Hebrews 11: 10) it is said. God has not forgotten His promise; He lifted him up.

Yes, God made that one man into a nation because he completely obeyed God's word and left everything to go to the land, he showed him. The nation of Israel was formed by the descendants of Abraham. Even today it remains a unique country in the world in many ways. Abraham did not ask to bless him. I don't asked God to make him into a nation. Rather, he obeyed the word of God.

Beloved, we must first come to the experience of hearing God speak to us; Then we should obey it. Then God will fill us with a greater blessing as He blessed Abraham.
