"I press toward the mark"

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". ( Philippians 3 : 14 )"

In his epistles, the apostle Paul compared the spiritual life to running race and wrestling competition. Any race has a prize. Getting prize in Olympic contest is considered the highest prize in sports competitions. It is the dream of athletes to win the Olympics. They make many sacrifices for it. By practicing diet restriction, sleep restriction, and other rigorous exercises they are making their body fit for it. 

If they do that to receive a perishable crown, how much more should we strive to receive an imperishable spiritual crown of victory? That is why Paul saying, "And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible." ( 1 Corinthians 9 : 25 )

" Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded" ( Philippians 3 : 15 ) That is, if we are to be said to be chosen in the spiritual life, we must be of this mind.

Further, only one gets the prize in the World Race. But God will reward all those who run properly in the spiritual race. "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain." ( 1 Corinthians 9 : 24 ). Yes, we must run the spiritual race in such a way as to win the prize.

Also, in today's verse Paul says a word that means "pressing on toward the goal." That is, when we participate in the competition, we should act with the goal set for us in mind. Our goal is Christ; To please Christ.

When we run a race we should run only towards the final goal of the race. Otherwise, if you run looking at the runners on your right and left, you will not be successful. This is the mistake many Christians make in spiritual life today. Many people make the mistake of looking at other people's activities and criticizing them.

Moreover, every sports competition has rules. Only those who do not violate those rules will get the prize. "And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully." ( 2 Timothy 2 : 5 ) Paul says.

Beloved, let us run our spiritual race toward Christ - the ultimate goal, patiently, according to the laws of Christ, and win. Let us continue our spiritual flow with this thought in mind. Let us pray and surrender ourselves completely to the Holy Spirit to run such a race and win; let's live.

The Way, Truth and LIfe

"O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles." ( Psalms 43 : 3 )

Even in the Old Testament people prayed to God as light and truth. We see the same in today's verse, "Send your light and your truth". These are the things that are needed to bring man to heaven, which is the holy mountain.

Although the people of the Old Testament prayed to God, they did not have a clear understanding of God like us New Testament people. They thought that God was a powerful force who could embrace the good and punish the evil. They looked at the Lord with some fear. That means they do not have a clear understanding of God. But they loved and prayed to God.

It was Jesus Christ who taught us to call God as Father. That is, the Lord is not a stranger somewhere; It was Jesus Christ who gave us the understanding that He is our Father.

That is why Jesus Christ said to the Samaritan woman, "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship. ( John 4 : 22 ) Even today there are people who unknowingly worship light. They worship lights and the sun. They worship light because they think that God is light. But the truth is that even though God is light, all lights are not God.

Yes, the Lord Jesus Christ was the light, the way and the truth that the Jews of the Old Testament unknowingly prayed for. He made this clear to them when he was in the world.

He said, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." ( John 8 : 12 )

"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." ( John 14 : 6 )

In todays verse the prayer was, "O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles." God the Father has sent the Lord Jesus Christ as an answer to this needs of the devotees of the Old Testament. So, He alone can lead us straight to the Holy Mountain.

The Lord Jesus Christ has promised us the Holy Spirit to guide us, the people of this age. Only the Spirit can illuminate our darkness and His words can show the way. Let us surrender ourselves to the rule of the Spirit. He will lead us straight to the Holy Mountain.

வழியும் சத்தியமும் ஜீவனும்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 640 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 29,  2022 சனிக்கிழமை 

"உமது வெளிச்சத்தையும் உமது சத்தியத்தையும் அனுப்பியருளும்; அவைகள் என்னை நடத்தி, உமது பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்திற்கும் உமது வாசஸ்தலங்களுக்கும் என்னைக் கொண்டுபோவதாக." ( சங்கீதம் 43 : 3 )

பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்காலத்திலும் மக்கள் தேவனை வெளிச்சமாகவும் சத்தியமாகவும் (உண்மை) எண்ணி வேண்டுதல் செய்தனர்.  அதனையே, "உமது வெளிச்சத்தையும் உமது சத்தியத்தையும் அனுப்பியருளும்' என்று இன்றைய வசனத்தில் நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம்.  பரிசுத்த பர்வதமாகிய பரலோகத்தில் மனிதனைக் கொண்டு சேர்க்க இவைதான் தேவையாக இருக்கின்றன. 

பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்கள் கர்த்தரை வேண்டினாலும், புதிய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்களாகிய நம்மைப்போல அவர்களுக்கு கர்த்தரைப் பற்றி ஒரு தெளிவு இல்லை. கர்த்தர் என்பவர் நன்மை  செய்பவர்களை அரவணைக்கவும் தீமை செய்பவர்களைத்  தண்டிக்கவும்கூடிய ஒரு வல்லமையான சக்தி என்று எண்ணிக்கொண்டனர். ஒருவித அச்சத்துடனேயே கர்த்தரைப் பார்த்தனர். அதாவது தேவனைப்பற்றிய தெளிவான புரிதல் அவர்களுக்கு இல்லை. ஆனால் அவர்கள் தேவனை அன்பு செய்தனர், வேண்டுதல் செய்தனர். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதான் கர்த்தரை அப்பா என்று அழைக்கக் கற்றுக்கொடுத்தார். அதாவது,  கர்த்தர் என்பவர் எங்கோ  இருக்கும் அந்நியர் அல்ல; அவர் நமது தகப்பன் எனும் புரிதலைக் கொடுத்தவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதான். 

அதனால்தான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து சமாரிய பெண்ணிடம் கூறினார்,  "நீங்கள் அறியாததைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறீர்கள்; நாங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறதைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறோம்."  ( யோவான் 4 : 22 ) என்று கூறினார். இன்றும் இதுபோல அறியாமல்  ஒளியை வணங்கக்கூடிய மக்கள் இருக்கின்றனர். விளக்குகளையும், சூரியனையும் அவர்கள் வணங்குகின்றனர். காரணம் கடவுள் ஒளியாக இருப்பதாக எண்ணுவதால் ஒளியை வணங்குகின்றனர். ஆனால், தேவன் ஒளியாய் இருந்தாலும் எல்லா ஒளியும் தேவனல்ல என்பதே உண்மை.  

ஆம், அன்று பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால  யூதர்கள் அறியாமலேயே வேண்டுதல்செய்த ஒளி, வழி, சத்தியம் எல்லாமே கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதான். இதனை அவர் உலகத்தில் இருக்கையில் அவர்களுக்குத் திட்டமும் தெளிவுமாகக் கூறினார். 

"நான் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் இருளிலே நடவாமல் ஜீவஒளியை அடைந்திருப்பான் என்றார்." ( யோவான் 8 : 12 )

"நானே வழியும் சத்தியமும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; என்னாலேயல்லாமல் ஒருவனும் பிதாவினிடத்தில் வரான்." ( யோவான் 14 : 6 ) என்றார். 

உமது ஒளியையும் சத்தியத்தையும் அனுப்பியருளும் அவைகள் என்னை நடத்தி, உமது பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்திற்கும் உமது வாசஸ்தலங்களுக்கும் என்னைக் கொண்டுபோவதாக. என்று பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால பக்தன் வேண்டியதற்கு பதிலளிப்பதுபோல கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அனுப்பியுள்ளார். அவரே நம்மை பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்துக்கு நேராக வழிநடத்திட முடியும். 

இக்கால மக்களாகிய நம்மை வழிநடத்திட கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரை வாக்களித்து நமக்கு அருளியுள்ளார். இருளான நமது இருந்ததில் ஒளியேற்றவும், சத்தியமான வசனத்தின்மூலம் நம்மை வழிநடத்திடவும் ஆவியானவரால் மட்டுமே முடியும். ஆவியானவரின் ஆளுகைக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வாழ்வோம். அவர் நம்மை பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்துக்கு நேராக வழி நடத்துவார்.

We will remember the name of the Lord our God

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God" (Psalms 20:7) 

For many, boasting is as pleasurable as eating Halva. People boast about their wealth, position, beauty status etc. People having none of these find pride in narrating their ancestorial glory saying, "Our grandfather had a hundred acres of land, well with water lifting motor, car, goats, cows and servants and lived like a little king". Even if half of what they say is a lie, it is a pleasure for them to say so.

At that time when the Bible was written there were no vehicles like there are now. They depended on animals for transportation. The poor used donkeys. The less wealthy used camels and horses. Nobles and royalty used chariots. Many wealthy people owned horses and chariots as people own cars today. Some of the wealthy had more than one horse and chariot. It was a matter of pride for them.

King David, who had a close relationship with God, said today's verse of meditation because he heard the boasting of such people. He says, you may be proud of your riches, and we will be proud of our knowledge of knowing God.

Yes, the experience of knowing God is the most sublime experience. It cannot be obtained by mere prayer, reading the scriptures, visiting temples regularly, or attending prayer meetings. A person who has studied for many years in a Bible college and has become a pastor or reverend father cannot acquire the knowledge of God. They can learn about God, that is all. 

If you read the entire Bible, the words "Knowledge of knowing God" are used everywhere, "knowledge of knowing about God" is not mentioned.

Beloved! We may be in a state of lack of comfort opportunities today. But if we have the certainty that our sins are forgiven and we have experienced redemption, the knowledge of knowing God will bring us greater happiness than the happiness that riches bring. That is why David says, "You have put gladness in  given my heart more than in the seasons that grain and wine increased" (Psalm 4:7)

Yes, those who have experienced redemption will live happily even with less worldly goods. But those who become proud because they have more material things  and live disobedient to God's words are pitiable. That is why Isaiah the prophet, says:-

"Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who relay on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy one of Israel, or seek help from the Lord." (Isaiah 31:1)

Let's not count wealth, property and all our proud things as pride, but let us count the knowledge of knowing the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, as superior. Those without that knowledge are nothing, no matter how much worldly wealth they have.

தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டுவோம்.

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 639 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 28,  2022 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"சிலர் இரதங்களைக்குறித்தும், சிலர் குதிரைகளைக் குறித்தும் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறார்கள்; நாங்களோ எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டுவோம்." (  சங்கீதம் 20 : 7 )

பெருமை பாராட்டுவது பலருக்கு அல்வா சாப்பிடுவதுபோல அவ்வளவு இன்பமாய் இருக்கின்றது. தங்களது சொத்து, பதவி, அழகு அந்தஸ்து இவைகளைக்குறித்து பெருமைகளைப் பேசுவதும் இவை எதுவும்  தற்போது இல்லாதவர்கள் தங்களது பூர்வீக பெருமைகளைப்  பேசி  "எங்க தாத்தா நூறு ஏக்கர் நிலம் வைத்திருந்தார், மோட்டார் கிணறு, கார், ஆடு, மாடு, வேலைக்காரர்கள்  இவைகளுடன் குட்டி ராஜா போல வாழ்ந்தார்"  என்று கூறுவதிலும் அற்ப பெருமை காண்கின்றனர். இவர்கள் பேசுவதில் பாதியும் பொய்யாக இருந்தாலும் அப்படிப் பேசுவதில் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு இன்பம்.

வேதாகமம் எழுதப்பட்டக் காலங்களில் இப்போதுள்ளதுபோல வாகனங்கள் கிடையாது. போக்குவரத்துக்கு  மிருகங்களையே அவர்கள் நம்பி இருந்தனர். ஏழைகள் வசதி குறைந்தவர்கள் கழுதைகளைப் பயன்படுத்தினர். கொஞ்சம் வசதி படைத்தவர்கள் ஒட்டகங்களையும், குதிரைகளையும் பயன்படுத்தினர். பிரபுக்களும் அரச குடும்பத்தினரும் ரதங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தினர். இப்போது சொந்தக் கார் வைத்திருப்பவர்களைப்  போல குதிரைகளையும் ரதங்களையும் வைத்திருப்பவர்கள் இருந்தனர். வசதி படைத்தவர்கள் சிலரிடம் ஒன்றுக்கு மேற்பட்டக் குதிரைகளும் ரதங்களும் இருந்தன. அது அவர்களுக்குப் பெருமைக்குரிய காரியமாக இருந்தது.

தேவனோடு நெருங்கிய தொடர்பு கொண்டிருந்த தாவீது ராஜா இத்தகைய மனிதர்களது பெருமைப் பேச்சுக்களைக் கேட்டுள்ளதால் இப்படிக் கூறுகின்றார். நீங்கள் உங்களது செல்வச் சிறப்புகளை எண்ணிப் பெருமை பாராட்டுங்கள், நாங்களோ தேவனை அறிந்திருப்பதை நினைத்தே பெருமைப்படுவோம்.

ஆம், தேவனை அறியும் அனுபவம் மிக உன்னதமான அனுபவம். அது வெறும் ஜெபத்தினாலோ, வேதம் படிப்பதாலோ, ஆலயங்களுக்குத் தவறாமல் செல்வதாலோ, ஜெபக் கூட்டங்களில் கலந்து கொள்வதாலேயோ கிடைத்திடாது. ஒருவர் வேதாகமக் கல்லூரியில் பல ஆண்டுகள் படித்துக் குருவாக ஆகிவிட்டதால் அவர் தேவனை அறியும் அறிவினைப் பெற முடியாது. அவர்கள் தேவனைப் பற்றி வேண்டுமானால் அறியலாம்.

வேதாகமம் முழுவதும் படித்துப் பார்த்தால் அனைத்து இடங்களிலுமே "தேவனை அறியும் அறிவு" எனும் வார்த்தைகள் பயன்படுத்தப் பட்டிருக்குமே தவிர "தேவனைப் பற்றி அறியும் அறிவு" என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருக்காது.

அன்பானவர்களே ! நாம் ஒருவேளை இன்று வசதி வாய்ப்புக்கள் இல்லாத நிலையில் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால், நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்ட நிச்சயம் உடையவர்களாகி ,  மீட்பின் அனுபவம் பெற்றிருந்தோமானால் அந்தத் தேவனை அறியும் அறிவு,  செல்வங்கள் தரும் மகிழ்ச்சியைவிட அதிக மகிழ்ச்சியை நமக்குக் கொண்டு வரும். எனவேதான் தாவீது கூறுகிறார், " அவர்களுக்குத் தானியமும் திராட்சரசமும் பெருகியிருக்கிற காலத்தின் சந்தோஷத்தைப் பார்க்கிலும், அதிக சந்தோஷத்தை என் இருதயத்தில் தந்தீர்."( சங்கீதம்4:7)

ஆம், மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெற்றிருப்பவர்கள் உலக செல்வதில் குறைவாக இருந்தாலும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வாழ்வார்கள். ஆனால் தங்களிடம் அதிக பொருள் இருப்பதால் பெருமை அடைந்து தேவ வார்த்தைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் வாழ்வோர் பரிதபிக்கத்தக்கவர்கள்.  எனவேதான் ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி,

"சகாயமடையும்படி இஸ்ரவேலுடைய பரிசுத்தரை நோக்காமலும், கர்த்தரைத் தேடாமலும், எகிப்துக்குப்போய், குதிரைகள்மேல் நம்பிக்கைவைத்து, இரதங்கள் அநேமாயிருப்பதினால் அவைகளை நாடி, குதிரைவீரர் மகா பெலசாலிகளாயிருப்பதினால் அவர்களை நம்பிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ!" ( ஏசாயா31:1) என்று குறிப்பிடுகிறார். 

செல்வங்கள், சொத்துக்கள் நமது பெருமைக்குரிய காரியங்கள் அனைத்தையும் பெருமையாக எண்ணாமல் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தரான கர்த்தரை அறியும் அறிவையே மேன்மையாகப் எண்ணுவோம். அந்த அறிவு இல்லாதவர்கள் எவ்வளவு உலகச் செல்வங்களைப் பெற்றிருந்தாலும் ஒன்றுமில்லாதவர்களே.

எஸ்றாவைப் போல நமது இருதயத்தையும் பக்குவப்படுத்துவோம்.

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 638 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 27,  2022 வியாழக்கிழமை

"கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தை ஆராயவும், அதின்படி செய்யவும், இஸ்ரவேலிலே கட்டளைகளையும் நீதிநியாயங்களையும் உபதேசிக்கவும், எஸ்றா தன் இருதயத்தைப் பக்குவப்படுத்தியிருந்தான்." ( எஸ்றா 7 : 10 )

வேதபாரகனான எஸ்ரா என்பவரைக் குறித்து அருமையான விளக்கத்தை இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. அதாவது எஸ்ரா வெறும் போதகனாக மட்டும் இருக்கவில்லை. அவர் தேவனுடைய வேதத்தை ஆராய்ச்சி செய்பவராக இருந்தார். மட்டுமல்ல, மிக முக்கியமாக வேதம் கூறுவதன்படி நடக்க அவர் தன்னை ஒப்புவித்திருந்தார்.  இப்படி வேதத்தை ஆராய்ச்சிப்பண்ணி, அதன்படி நடந்து அதன்பின்னரே அவர் உபதேசித்தார். அப்படிச் செய்யும்படி தனது இருதயத்தை அவர் பக்குவப்படுத்தியிருந்தார் என்று இந்த வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

அதாவது எஸ்ரா வெறும் ஏட்டுச் சுரைக்காயாக இருக்கவில்லை. ஒரு செயல் வீரராக இருந்தார். இன்றைய வசனத்தின் முன்னால் ஆறாவது வசனத்தில் எஸ்ராவைப்பற்றிய இன்னொரு குறிப்பு உள்ளது. 

"இந்த எஸ்றா இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அருளிய மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திலே தேறின வேதபாரகனாயிருந்தான்; அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய கரம் அவன்மேல் இருந்ததினால், அவன் கேட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் ராஜா அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்." ( எஸ்றா 7 : 6 )

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் அறியவேண்டிய சத்தியம் என்னவென்றால்,  எஸ்ரா இப்படி தேவனுக்கு உகந்தவராக இருந்ததால் கர்த்தருடைய கரம் அவர்மேல் இருந்தது; அவர் கேட்டவற்றையெல்லாம் ராஜா அவருக்குக் கொடுத்தான். 

அதாவது, தேவனுக்கு உகந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது உலக காரியங்கள் நமக்கு அனுகூலமாகும். உலக காரியங்கள் எனும்போது நமது சுய ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றும் ஆசைகளல்ல. மாறாக, தேவ சித்தத்துக்கு உட்பட்டு நாம் விரும்பும் ஆசைகள்.  

எஸ்றா தனது சுய ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்கு ராஜாவிடம் கேட்கவில்லை. மாறாக, தேவனுக்கு ஆலயம் கட்டுவதற்கு முற்பட்டார். அதற்காக ராஜாவிடம் வேண்டினார்.  அவரது அந்த ஆசையை தேவன் ராஜாவின் மூலம் நிறைவேற்றினார். நாமும் இதுபோல தேவனது வேதத்தின்மேல் ஆர்வம்கொண்டு வேத சத்தியங்களை ஆராயவும் வேத சத்தியங்களின்படி வாழவும் நம்மைப் பக்குவப்படுத்தினோமானால், தேவன் நமது நியாயமான ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றுவார்.    

இதனால்தான் முதலாவது சங்கீதம் கூறுகின்றது, "கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தில் பிரியமாயிருந்து, இரவும் பகலும் அவருடைய வேதத்தில் தியானமாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்." ( சங்கீதம் 1 : 2 )

வேதாகமத்தை நேசிப்போம், வேத வசனங்களைத் தியானிப்போம், எஸ்றாவைப்போல வேத ஒளியில் ஆராய்வோம். அப்படி செய்வதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் வேத வசனங்களின்படி வாழ நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம்.  அதன்பின்னர் மற்றவர்களுக்கும் அதனை எடுத்துச்சொல்வோம். இன்றைய வசனம் எஸ்றா அப்படிச் செய்ய தனது இருதயத்தைப் பக்குவப்படுத்தியிருந்தான் என்று கூறுகின்றது. நமது இருதயத்தையும் நாம் அதுபோல பக்குவப்படுத்துவோம். அப்போது தேவனது கரம் நம்மோடு இருக்கும். உலக காரியங்கள் நமக்கு அனுகூலமாகும்.

Let us prepare our hearts like Ezra

"For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments". ( Ezra 7 : 10 )

Today's verse gives a wonderful description of the biblical Ezra. That is, Ezra was not just a preacher. He was a researcher of God's scriptures. Not only that, but more importantly, he had committed himself to walking the scriptures. After researching the scriptures, he acted accordingly and then preached. This verse says that he had prepared his heart to do so.

So Ezra wasn't just a man with impractical knowledge. He was an activist. Today's verse is preceded by another reference to Ezra in verse six.

"This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him." ( Ezra 7 : 6 )

Beloved, the truth we need to know is that the hand of the Lord was upon Ezra because he was so acceptable to God; The king gave him everything he asked for.

That is, when we live a life worthy of God, the things of the world we ask will be given to us. By worldly things I am not mentioning desires to fulfill our own desires. Rather, the desires we desire are subject to God's will.

Ezra did not ask the king to fulfill his selfish desires. Instead, he sought to build a temple for God. He prayed to the king for that. God fulfilled his wish through the King. If we are also interested in God's scriptures and prepare ourselves to study the scriptures and live according to the scriptures, God will fulfill our legitimate desires.

This is why the first psalm says, "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." ( Psalms 1 : 2 )

Let us love the scriptures, meditate on the verses of the scriptures, and examine them in the light of the Holy Spirit like Ezra. Not only that, do commit ourselves to live according to the scriptures. Then preach the Gospel to others. Today's verse tells us that Ezra had prepared his heart to do so. Let us prepare our hearts in the same way. Then God's hand will be with us. Worldly blessings will be given to us.

Without the Spirit of God, no one will know God's things

 AATHAVAN 🖋️ 637 ⛪ October 26, 2022 Wednesday

"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." ( John 3 : 8 )

If we want to know something completely, we can only know it if we  become of it. We do not know the thoughts of animals, A cow lying on the road side or a dog coming towards us, or any animal,  we don't know anything about their feelings or their thinking. Similarly, we do not know what taste they enjoy from the food they eat. Animal's thoughts and tastes are different from humans. We can  know it completely only if we become an animal like them.

Likewise is the one who is born again by the Holy Spirit. His thoughts and actions are different, even though he is living with ordinary men. This is what Jesus Christ is saying in today's verse.

The Apostle Paul also says, "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God." ( 1 Corinthians 2 : 11 )

And Paul adds, "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."( Romans 8 : 5 ).

Beloved, the spiritual way is the way that is acceptable to God. If we want to walk in God's way, we need the guidance and presence of God's Spirit.

But even if we live as spiritual people, we cannot know all the works of God. The reason is that no matter how hard we humans try, we cannot know all that is in the Father's authority.

"As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all." ( Ecclesiastes 11 : 5 )

However, in this world, God makes some spiritual things known to spiritual people by the authority he has given to humans. When we live in the world with this experience, we become suitable for him.

Others may criticize our activities when living a spiritual life. But we need not worry. As Jesus Christ said, we who are spiritual are like the wind. The people of the world cannot know our ways. As it is said that no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God, the people of the world cannot know the one who lives according to the spiritual will of God.

When we commit ourselves with a true heart to know spiritual ways and walk in God's way, God will guide us in that way. Just as the wind, where it is coming from or where it is going, our actions are known only to God. God will judge people based on this.

தேவனுடைய ஆவியேயன்றி, ஒருவனும் தேவனுக்குரியவைகளை அறியமாட்டான்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 637 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 26,  2022 புதன்கிழமை

"காற்றானது தனக்கு இஷ்டமான இடத்திலே வீசுகிறது, அதின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்கிறாய், ஆகிலும் அது இன்ன இடத்திலிருந்து வருகிறதென்றும், இன்ன இடத்துக்குப் போகிறதென்றும் உனக்குத் தெரியாது; ஆவியினால் பிறந்தவனெவனோ அவனும் அப்படியே இருக்கிறான்." (யோவான் 3:8) 

ஒன்றைப்பற்றி நாம் முழுவதுமாக அறியவேண்டுமானால் அதுவாக நாம் மாறினால் மட்டுமே முடியும். ரோட்டோரம் படுத்திருக்கும் மாடு, அல்லது நம்மைநோக்கி வரும் நாய் அல்லது எந்த மிருகமாக இருந்தாலும் மிருகங்களின் எண்ணம் நமக்குத் தெரியாது. அவை உண்ணும் உணவுகள், அவற்றின் சுவை எதுவுமே நமக்குத் தெரியாது. மிருகங்களின் எண்ணங்களும் சுவைகளும் மனிதர்களிலிருந்து வித்தியாசமானவை. நாமும் அவைகளைப்போல ஒரு மிருகமாக மாறினால்தான் அதனை நம்மால் முற்றிலும் அறிய முடியும். 

இதுபோலவே பரிசுத்த ஆவியினால் மறுபடி பிறந்தவனும் இருக்கின்றான். சாதாரண மனிதர்களைப்போல மனிதர்களோடு இருந்தாலும் ஆவிக்குரிய மனிதனது எண்ணங்களும் செயல்பாடுகளும் வித்தியாசமானவையாக இருக்கும். இதனைத்தான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இன்றைய வசனத்தில் கூறுகின்றார். 

அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் அடிகளும்,  "மனுஷனிலுள்ள ஆவியேயன்றி மனுஷரில் எவன் மனுஷனுக்குரியவைகளை அறிவான்? அப்படிப்போல, தேவனுடைய ஆவியேயன்றி, ஒருவனும் தேவனுக்குரியவைகளை அறியமாட்டான்."( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 2 : 11 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.  

மேலும், பவுல் அடிகள், "அன்றியும் மாம்சத்தின்படி நடக்கிறவர்கள் மாம்சத்துக்குரியவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கிறார்கள்; ஆவியின்படி நடக்கிறவர்கள் ஆவிக்குரியவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கிறார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 8 : 5 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, ஆவிக்குரிய வழிதான் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடைய வழி. தேவனுடைய வழியில் நடக்கவேண்டுமானால் தேவனுடைய ஆவியின் வழிகாட்டுதலும் உடனிருப்பும் நமக்கு அவசியம். 

ஆனாலும் ஆவிக்குரிய மனிதர்களாக நாம் வாழ்ந்தாலும் தேவனது அனைத்துச் செயல்களையும் நாம் அறிய முடியாது. காரணம், மனிதர்கள் நாம் எப்படி முயன்றாலும் பிதாவுக்குரிய அதிகாரத்திலுள்ளவைகள் அனைத்தையும் நாம் அறிய முடியாது. 

"ஆவியின் வழி இன்னதென்றும், கர்ப்பவதியின் வயிற்றில் எலும்புகள் உருவாகும் விதம் இன்னதென்றும் நீ அறியாதிருக்கிறதுபோலவே, எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்கிற தேவனுடைய செயல்களையும் நீ அறியாய்." (பிரசங்கி 11:5) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஆனாலும் இந்த உலகத்தில் தேவன் மனிதர்களுக்கு அளித்துள்ள அதிகாரத்தால் ஆவிக்குரிய சில காரியங்களை ஆவிக்குரிய மக்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துகின்றார். இந்த அனுபவத்தோடு உலக வாழ்வை நாம் வாழும்போது அவருக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்கள் ஆகின்றோம்.  

ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழும் நமது செயல்பாடுகளைப் பிறர் குறைகூறலாம். ஆனால் நாம் கவலைப்படத்  தேவையில்லை. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறுவதுபோல ஆவிக்குரிய நாம் காற்றினைப்போல இருக்கின்றோம். நமது வழிகளை உலகமனிதர்கள் அறிய முடியாது. தேவனுடைய ஆவியேயன்றி, ஒருவனும் தேவனுக்குரியவைகளை அறியமாட்டான் என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி தேவனுடைய ஆவிக்குரிய சித்தப்படி வாழ்பவனையும் உலக மனிதர்கள் அறிய முடியாது. 

ஆவிக்குரிய வழிகளை அறியவும் தேவ வழியில் நடக்கவும் உண்மையான மனதுடன் நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது தேவன் நம்மை அந்த வழியில் நடத்திடுவார். காற்று இன்ன இடத்திலிருந்து வருகிறதென்றும், இன்ன இடத்துக்குப் போகிறதென்றும் தெரியாததுபோல நமது நடவடிக்கைகள் தேவனுக்கு மட்டுமே தெரிவதாக இருக்கும். இதன் அடிப்படையிலேயே தேவன் மனிதர்களை நியாயம் தீர்ப்பார்.
