🦋 Meditation verse - யாத்திராகமம் 4 : 10 / Exodus 4:10

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1692                                          ஆதவன் 25.09.2025 வியாழன்        

"ஆண்டவரே, இதற்கு முன்னாவது, தேவரீர் உமது அடியேனோடே பேசினதற்குப் பின்னாவது நான் வாக்குவல்லவன் அல்ல; நான் திக்குவாயும் மந்த நாவும் உள்ளவன்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 4 : 10 )

ஒருமுறை கைவினைஞர்கள் நடத்திய  கண்காட்சி ஒன்றில் பல்வேறு வகையான பொம்மைகளும்  விதவிதமான அழகுப்பொருட்களும் அடுக்கப்பட்டு இருந்ததைப் பார்த்தேன். அந்தப் பொருட்களுக்கு மத்தியில் சில கண்ணைக்கவரும் பொருட்கள் நாம் தூக்கி எறியும் தேங்காய் சிரட்டையால்  செய்யப்பட்டவையாக இருந்தன. கைவினைஞர்கள் தங்கள் திறமையால் தேங்காய் ஓடுகளை அழகிய கலைப்பொருட்களாக மாற்றியிருந்தனர். அவற்றின் விலையும் மிக அதிகமாக இருந்தன. 

ஆம், எதற்கும் உதவாது எனத் தூக்கி எறியப்படும் தேங்காய் ஓடுகள் கைவினைஞர்கள் திறமையால் பலரும் கவரும் கலைப்பொருளாகிவிட்டன. அவற்றை வாங்கிச்செல்வோர் அதனைத் தங்களது வீட்டு வரவேற்பறைகளின் ஷோ கேஸ்களில்  பெருமையுடன் வைத்து மற்றவர்கள் பார்த்து வியக்கவைக்கும் கலைப்பொருட்களாக அவை மாறிவிட்டன.  

தேவனும் இதுபோல அதிசய கைவினைஞராக இருக்கின்றார். உலக மக்களால் அற்பமாகத்  தூக்கியெறியப்படும் மக்களை அவர் யாரும் எதிர்பார்க்கமுடியாத அளவுக்கு உயர்த்துகின்றார். அப்படி உயர்த்தப்பட்ட மனிதர்களில் ஒருவர்தான் மோசே. மோசேயை அவர் வாழ்ந்த காலத்தில் அவரது திக்குவாயை முன்னிட்டு மக்கள் இப்படி அற்பமாக எண்ணியிருக்கலாம்; பேசியிருக்கலாம். எனவேதான் தேவன் அவரைத் தனது பணிக்கு அழைத்தபோது மோசே, "நான் வாக்குவல்லவன் அல்ல; நான் திக்குவாயும் மந்த நாவும் உள்ளவன்" என்று தனது அற்பமான நிலையினை தேவனிடம் அறிக்கையிடுகின்றார். 

நாமும் இதுபோல இன்று நாம் வாழும் சமுதாயத்தில் மக்களால் நமது ஜாதி, வேலை, பொருளாதார நிலைமை இவற்றை முன்னிட்டு அற்பமாக எண்ணப்படலாம். ஆனால் தேவன் அப்படி எண்ணுபவரல்ல. தூக்கியெறியப்பட்ட தேங்காய்ஓட்டினை விலை உயர்ந்த கலைப்பொருளாக மாற்றிய கலைஞனைப்போல உலகப் படைப்பின் கலைஞானாகிய தேவனால் நம்மை மாற்றி உயர்ந்த இடத்தில் வைத்திடமுடியும்.  மோசேயை தேவன் அப்படிதான் மாற்றி பயன்படுத்தினார். 

"உன்னை அதிகாரியாகவும் நியாயாதிபதியாகவும் ஏற்படுத்தினவன் யார் என்று சொல்லி அவர்கள் மறுதலித்திருந்த இந்த மோசேயைத்தானே தேவன், முட்செடியில் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமான தூதனாலே தலைவனாகவும் மீட்பனாகவும் அனுப்பினார். இவனே அவர்களை அங்கேயிருந்து அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து, எகிப்து தேசத்திலேயும் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்திலேயும், நாற்பது வருஷகாலமாய் வனாந்தரத்திலேயும், அற்புதங்களையும் அடையாளங்களையும் செய்தான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 7 : 35-36 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆனால் நாம் செய்யவேண்டியது ஓன்று உண்டு. நாம் நமது அற்பமான நிலைமையை மோசேயைப்போல அறிக்கையிட்டு தாழ்மையாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். "மோசேயானவன் பூமியிலுள்ள சகல மனிதரிலும் மிகுந்த சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான்" ( எண்ணாகமம் 12 : 3 ) என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி சாந்தமான குணம் நமக்கு இருக்குமானால் கர்த்தர் நம்மைப் பயன்படுத்துவார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாமும் மோசேயைப்போல நமது பலவீனங்களை தேவனிடம் ஒளிவில்லாமல் அறிக்கையிடுவோம். ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கு மற்றவர்களைப்போல அறிவில்லை, எனக்குப் பெரிய படிப்பு இல்லை,  உடல்நலமில்லை, எனது உடல் உறுப்பு ஊனமானதாக இருக்கின்றது,  எனக்கு பேச்சாற்றல் இல்லை, எனக்கு நல்ல வேலையில்லை, எனக்குப்  பொருளாதார வசதியில்லை, மற்றவர்கள் விரும்பத்தக்க அந்தஸ்து எனக்கு இல்லை என்று நமது எந்தக் குறைவாக இருந்தாலும் அதனை தேவனிடம்  எடுத்துக்கூறுவோம். 

தேவன் மோசேயுடன் பேசுவதற்கு முன்னும் பேசிய பின்னரும் மோசே வாக்குவல்லவன் அல்ல; திக்குவாயும் மந்த நாவும் உள்ளவனாகவே இருந்தார். ஆனால் தேவனது கையின் கருவியாக அவர் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டார்; உயர்த்தப்பட்டார். இந்த மோசே நமக்கு ஒரு பாடமாக இருக்கின்றார்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1692

AATHAVAN – 25.09.2025, Thursday

“Then Moses said to the Lord, ‘Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.’” (Exodus 4:10)

Once, I visited a handicrafts exhibition where various dolls and decorative items were beautifully displayed. Among them, I noticed some attractive pieces that were made from discarded coconut shells. The artisans, with their skill, had transformed what was usually thrown away into beautiful works of art. Surprisingly, their price was quite high.

Yes, the very coconut shells that people usually discard as useless were turned by artisans into fascinating artistic pieces that many desired to buy. Buyers proudly placed them in their living room showcases for others to admire with wonder.

In the same way, God is a marvellous master craftsman. Those whom the world despises and casts aside, He exalts to unimaginable heights. One such person was Moses. In his time, people may have looked down on him for his slowness of speech. That is why, when God called him to His service, Moses confessed his inadequacy: “I have never been eloquent … for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” (Exodus 4:10).

Likewise, in today’s society, people may look down on us because of our caste, job, or economic background. But God does not see us that way. Just as an artisan transforms a discarded coconut shell into a valuable art piece, the Creator of the universe can lift us up and place us in an honourable position. That is exactly what He did with Moses.

We read: “This Moses whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush. This man led them out, performing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.” (Acts 7:35–36).

But there is one important thing we must do. Like Moses, we must humbly acknowledge our weakness before God. “Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any person who was on the face of the earth.” (Numbers 12:3). If such humility is in us, the Lord will surely use us.

Dear beloved, let us not hide our weaknesses but present them honestly before God, just as Moses did. Perhaps you may say: “Lord, I do not have wisdom like others; I do not have a good education; I am weak in health; I have a disability; I do not have eloquence; I do not have a good job; I lack financial stability; I do not have the social status that others admire.” Whatever our shortcomings may be, let us lay them before God.

Moses remained slow of speech both before and after God spoke to him. Yet, he became an instrument in the hand of God and was exalted. This Moses stands as a lesson for us today.

🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 44 : 3 / Psalm 44:3

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1691                                           ஆதவன் 24.09.2025 புதன்         

"அவர்கள் தங்கள் பட்டயத்தால் தேசத்தைக் கட்டிக்கொள்ளவில்லை; அவர்கள் புயமும் அவர்களை இரட்சிக்கவில்லை; நீர் அவர்கள்மேல் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், உம்முடைய வலதுகரமும், உம்முடைய புயமும், உம்முடைய முகத்தின் பிரகாசமும் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தது." ( சங்கீதம் 44 : 3 )

மனிதர்களாகிய நாம் பலவீனமானவர்கள். நம்மால் நமது சுய முயற்சியால் பெரிய காரியங்களைச்  சாதிக்கமுடியுமென்பது  கூடாத காரியம். இந்த உலகத்தில் சாதாரண மனிதர்கள் பெரிய பெரிய சாதனைகளைச் செய்வதை நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். ஆனால் அந்தச் சாதனைகள் நிலைத்து நிற்பதுமில்லை சாதனைகள் புரிந்தவர்கள் சிறப்பாக வாழ்ந்ததுமில்லை. ஆனால் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழும் நாம் நமது செயல்களை தேவ சித்தத்துடன் அவருக்குப் பிரியமாகச் செய்வோமானால் தேவன் நம்மேல் அன்பாயிருந்து காரியத்தை வாய்க்கச்செய்வார். 

மக்கள் தங்கள் சுய பலத்தைச் சாராமல் தன்னையே சார்ந்து வாழவேண்டுமென்று தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். இதனையே, "அவர் குதிரையின் பலத்தில் விருப்பமாயிரார்; வீரனுடைய கால்களில் பிரியப்படார்." ( சங்கீதம் 147 : 10 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. குதிரை, வீரனுடைய கால்கள் என்பன தேவனைச் சாராது தங்களது சுயபலத்தை நம்புவதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. மேலும், "இரட்சிக்கிறதற்குக் குதிரை விருதா; அது தன் மிகுந்த வீரியத்தால் தப்புவியாது." ( சங்கீதம் 33 : 17 ) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். அதாவது, நாம் தப்புவிக்கப்பட மனித பலம் அல்லது சுயபலம் வீண் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.  

இதுபோலவே, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் கானானைச்  சுதந்தரித்தது அவர்களது சுயபலத்தினால் அல்ல; மாறாக, கர்த்தர் அவர்கள்மேல் அன்புகூர்ந்ததால்தான் என்று வேதம் கூறுகின்றது. "கர்த்தர் உங்களில் அன்புகூர்ந்ததினாலும், உங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கு இட்ட ஆணையைக் காக்கவேண்டும் என்பதினாலும்; கர்த்தர் பலத்த கையினால் உங்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்தினின்றும் அதின் ராஜாவான பார்வோனின் கையினின்றும் உங்களை மீட்டுக்கொண்டார்." ( உபாகமம் 7 : 8 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமான வாழ்க்கை வாழ முயற்சியெடுத்து அவருக்கு உகந்தவர்களாக வாழ்வோமானால் அவர் நம்மேல் அன்பாயிருப்பார். அப்போது, நமது வெற்றி அவரால் ஏற்படும். "அவர்கள் புயமும் அவர்களை இரட்சிக்கவில்லை; நீர் அவர்கள்மேல் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், உம்முடைய வலதுகரமும், உம்முடைய புயமும், உம்முடைய முகத்தின் பிரகாசமும் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தது" என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி நமது வாழ்க்கையும் அவரால் வெற்றியுள்ள வாழ்க்கையாக மாறும்.  

மீகா தீர்க்கத்தரிசி "தடைகளை நீக்கிப்போடுகிறவர்" என்ற ஒரு புதிய பெயரைத் தேவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கின்றார். ஆம்,  "தடைகளை நீக்கிப்போடுகிறவர் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக நடந்துபோகிறார்; அவர்கள் தடைகளை நீக்கி, வாசலால் உட்பிரவேசித்துக் கடந்துபோவார்கள்; அவர்கள் ராஜா அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் போவார், கர்த்தர் அவர்கள் முன்னணியில் நடந்துபோவார்." ( மீகா 2 : 13 ) என்கின்றார். இஸ்ரவேலர் மீது அன்புகொண்டு அவர்களை பாலைவனத்தில் மேகத்தூணிலும் அக்கினித் தூணிலும் இருந்து பாதுகாத்து வழிநடத்தியத்  தேவன் நம்மேல் அன்புகூரும்போது நமக்குமுன்பாக நடந்து தடைகளை அகற்றி நம்மையும் பாதுகாப்பார். 

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, "அவர்கள் தங்கள் பட்டயத்தால் தேசத்தைக் கட்டிக்கொள்ளவில்லை" என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி நாமும் நமது சுயபலம் நமக்கு வெற்றியைத் தராது என்பதனை உணர்ந்து தேவனுக்கு ஏற்ற செயல்பாடுகளை செய்து அவரது அன்புக்குரியவர்களாக வாழ முயற்சியெடுப்போம். எந்தச் சிறிய செயலைச் செய்யும்போதும் நமது பலத்தை மட்டுமே  நம்பாமல், தேவ பலம்  நமக்கு வேண்டுமென்று வேண்டுவோம். அப்போது அவர் நமக்குத் துணையாக நின்று பாதுகாத்து வெற்றியைத் தருவார். அவரது  வலதுகரமும், அவரது  புயமும், அவரது முகத்தின் பிரகாசமும் நம்மை இரட்சிக்கும்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1691 

AATHAVAN – Wednesday, 24.09.2025 

“For by their own sword they did not possess the land, and their own arm did not save them; But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favoured them.” (Psalm 44:3)

As human beings, we are weak. It is impossible for us to accomplish great things by our own efforts. In this world, we see ordinary people achieving great feats, yet such achievements do not last, nor do those achievers live truly fulfilled lives. But for us who live a spiritual life, if we do our works in alignment with God’s will, to please Him, God—out of His love for us—will make our endeavours successful.

God desires that people should not depend on their own strength but lean on Him. As it is written: “He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man.” (Psalm 147:10). The “horse” and the “legs of a man” signify human strength and self-reliance apart from God. Again, it is written: “A horse is a false hope for victory; Nor does it rescue anyone by its great strength.” (Psalm 33:17). This tells us that human strength and self-power are vain for deliverance.

In the same way, Israel did not inherit Canaan by their own might, but because the Lord loved them. Scripture says: “But because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.” (Deuteronomy 7:8).

Yes, beloved, if we strive to live a life pleasing to God and walk in His ways, He will delight in us. Then our victories will come from Him. Just as it is said, “For by their own sword they did not possess the land, And their own arm did not save them; But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favoured them” (Psalm 44:3)—so also, our lives will be made victorious by Him.

The prophet Micah gives God a new name: “The One Who breaks through.” He declares, “The one who breaks through goes up before them; They break through, pass through the gate, and go out by it. So, their king passes on before them, And the Lord at their head.” (Micah 2:13). The God who lovingly led Israel through the wilderness by a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire will also, in His love for us, go before us, remove obstacles, and protect us.

Therefore, beloved, as it is written, “For by their own sword they did not possess the land” (Psalm 44:3), let us also recognize that our own strength cannot bring us victory. Instead, let us strive to do works acceptable to God and live as those beloved by Him. In every task, whether small or great, let us not depend solely on our own strength but pray for God’s power. Then He will stand by us, protect us, and grant us victory. His right hand, His arm, and the light of His presence will save us.

🦋 Meditation verse - மல்கியா 4 : 2 / Malachi 4:2

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1690                                           ஆதவன் 23.09.2025 செவ்வாய்          

"ஆனாலும் என் நாமத்துக்குப் பயந்திருக்கிற உங்கள்மேல் நீதியின் சூரியன் உதிக்கும்; அதன் செட்டையின்கீழ் ஆரோக்கியம் இருக்கும்; நீங்கள் வெளியே புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கொழுத்த கன்றுகளைப்போல வளருவீர்கள்." ( மல்கியா 4 : 2 )

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நீதியின் சூரியன் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றார். நாம் தேவனுக்குப் பயந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வோமானால் நமக்கு ஆசீர்வாதம் உண்டு என்பதனை இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

"தீமையை வெறுப்பதே கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம்"  ( நீதிமொழிகள் 8 : 13 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். இப்படிநாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து தீமையை வெறுத்து வாழ்வோமானால் நம்மேல் நீதியின் சூரியனாகிய இயேசு பிரகாசிப்பார். அந்த ஆசீர்வாதம் எப்படிப்பட்டதாக இருக்கும் என்பதனையே, "அதன் செட்டையின்கீழ் ஆரோக்கியம் இருக்கும்; நீங்கள் வெளியே புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கொழுத்த கன்றுகளைப்போல வளருவீர்கள்" என்று வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. அதாவது, ஆரோக்கியமான வாழ்வு, கொழுத்த கன்றுகளைப்போல செழிப்பான வாழ்வு நமக்கு உண்டு என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

இதற்கு,  தீமையை வெறுத்து வாழ்ந்த யோசேப்பு நமக்கு ஒரு உதாரணம்.  பாவம் செய்யும்படியான சூழ்நிலை தனக்குக் கிடைத்தபோதும் அவன்  "நான் இத்தனை பெரிய பொல்லாங்குக்கு உடன்பட்டு, தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவம் செய்வது எப்படி" ( ஆதியாகமம் 39 : 9 ) என்று கூறி பாவத்துக்கு விலகி ஓடினான். இப்படி தேவனை அன்புசெய்து அவன் பாவத்துக்கு விலகியதால் தேவன் அவனை எகிப்தின் பார்வோனுக்கு இணையாக உயர்த்தினார். ஆம், அவன்  கொழுத்த கன்றுபோல ஆகிவிட்டான். இதுபோலவே கர்த்தருக்குப்பயந்து வாழ்ந்த ஆடுகளை மேய்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் இராஜாவாக உயர்த்தப்பட்டார். 

வேதாகமம் முழுவதும் நாம் இப்படிக் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து வாழ்ந்த பரிசுத்தவான்கள் பலரது வாழ்க்கை மாற்றத்தினைக் காணலாம். நாமும் இப்படி வாழ்வோமானால், "உன் சூரியன் இனி அஸ்தமிப்பதுமில்லை; உன் சந்திரன் மறைவதுமில்லை; கர்த்தரே உனக்கு நித்திய வெளிச்சமாயிருப்பார்; உன் துக்கநாட்கள் முடிந்துபோகும்." ( ஏசாயா 60 : 20 ) என்று ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி மூலம் தேவன் நமக்குக் கூறுகின்றார். 

மட்டுமல்ல, கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் நமக்கு இருக்குமானால் அவர் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக நமது பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் இரக்கம் பாராட்டுவார் என்று அன்னை மரியாள் கூறுகின்றார். ஆம், "அவருடைய இரக்கம் அவருக்குப் பயந்திருக்கிறவர்களுக்குத் தலைமுறை தலைமுறைக்குமுள்ளது." ( லுூக்கா 1 : 50 ) என்று அவர் பாடுவதை நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

எனவே, கர்த்தர்மேல் பற்றுக்கொண்டு அவருக்குப் பயந்த வாழ்க்கைவாழ நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். ஆலயங்களுக்குச் சென்று ஆராதனைகளில் கலந்துகொள்வது மட்டும் போதுமென்று பல கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்  எண்ணிக்கொண்டு மற்றநேரங்களில் தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படாத துன்மார்க்க வாழ்க்கை வாழ்கின்றனர். ஆராதனை, வழிபாடுகளைவிட தேவன் அவருக்குப் பயந்த வாழ்க்கையையே விரும்புகின்றார். 

இப்படி நாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து வாழ்வோமானால் நமது வாழ்க்கையில் நீதியின் சூரியனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உதிப்பார். அப்போது வாழ்வில் ஆரோக்கியம் இருக்கும். நமது தலைமுறை பிள்ளைகளும்  தேவ ஆசீர்வாதத்தினைப் பெறுவார்கள்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1690
AATHAVAN – 23.09.2025, Tuesday

“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic-like calves from the stall.” (Malachi 4:2)

Our Lord Jesus Christ is called the Sun of Righteousness. Today’s meditation verse reminds us that when we live a life in the fear of God, we will surely inherit His blessings.

We read, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil.” (Proverbs 8:13). When we walk in reverence before the Lord and hate evil, the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus Christ, will shine upon us. What kind of blessings will follow? The Scripture declares: “with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic-like calves from the stall.” In other words, God promises us a life of health and a flourishing, abundant life.

Joseph stands as an example of this truth. Even when he was tempted with sin, he said, “How then could I do this great evil and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9) and fled from sin. Because of his love for God and refusal to compromise, the Lord exalted him next to Pharaoh in Egypt. Indeed, he became like a well-fed calf! Likewise, David, who once tended sheep in humility and the fear of the Lord, was lifted up as the king over Israel.

All through the Bible, we see how the lives of saints were transformed when they chose to walk in the fear of God. The Lord gives us this promise through the prophet Isaiah: “No longer will your sun set, Nor will your moon wane; For you will have the LORD as an everlasting light, And the days of your mourning will be over.” (Isaiah 60:20)

Not only that, but Mary, the mother of our Lord, also declared that God’s mercy will extend to future generations of those who fear Him: “And His mercy is to generation after generation Toward those who fear Him.” (Luke 1:50)

Therefore, let us hold fast to the Lord and commit ourselves to live in the fear of God. Many Christians think that merely attending church services and worship is enough, while living carelessly in sin at other times. But the Lord desires a God-fearing life more than mere outward worship.

If we live in such reverence before Him, the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus Christ, will rise in our lives. Then our days will be filled with health, and our children and generations to come will also partake in the blessings of God.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோசுவா 3: 5 / Joshua 3:5

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1689                                          ஆதவன் 22.09.2025 திங்கள்         

"யோசுவா ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம் பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நாளைக்குக் கர்த்தர் உங்கள் நடுவிலே அற்புதங்களைச் செய்வார் என்றான்." ( யோசுவா 3: 5)

கானானை நோக்கிய இஸ்ரவேலரின் பயணம் முழுவதும் கர்த்தரது வழிநடத்துதலின்படியே இருந்தது. இஸ்ரவேலர் பெரிய போர்ப்பயிற்சி பெற்றவர்களல்ல. ஆனால் அவர்கள் பயிற்சிபெற்ற; பல போர்களைச் சந்தித்த அனுபவமுள்ள எதிரிப்  படைகளுடன் மோதி வெற்றிபெற்றனர். இவை அனைத்தும் தேவன் செய்த அற்புதச் செயல்தான். ஆனால் இப்போதோ அவர்களுக்குக் கானானில் நுழைந்திடத் தடையாக இருப்பதோ யோர்தான் நதி. 

மோசேக்குப்பின் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை கானானை நோக்கி வழிநடத்திய யோசுவா இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களைப்பார்த்து இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். நதியைப்பார்த்து நீங்கள் பயப்படவேண்டாம். உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம் பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நாளைக்குக் கர்த்தர் உங்கள் நடுவிலே அற்புதங்களைச் செய்வார் என்று அவர் மக்களைப் பரிசுத்தத்துக்கு நேராக வழிநடத்தினார். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று நாம் பல்வேறு தேவைகளுக்காக தேவனைத் தேடி ஓடுகின்றோம். ஆனால் நமது வாழ்க்கை எப்படி இருக்கின்றது என்பதனை எண்ணிப்பார்க்கத் தவறிவிடுகின்றோம். 

"கர்த்தராகிய நான் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே நீங்களும் எனக்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தவான்களாயிருப்பீர்களாக; நீங்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, உங்களை மற்ற ஜனங்களைவிட்டுப் பிரித்தெடுத்தேன்." ( லேவியராகமம் 20: 26) என்று கர்த்தர் கூறுவதைப் பார்க்கின்றோம். நாம் கிறிஸ்தவர்களென்றால் மற்றவர்களிலிருந்து வேறுபிரித்தெடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் என்று பொருள். உலக மக்களைப்போல தாறுமாறாக வாழ்ந்துகொண்டு நமது தேவைக்கு மட்டும் தேவனைத் தேடி ஓடுவதில் அர்த்தமில்லை. பிரித்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த அனுபவம் நமக்குத் தேவை. 

மற்றவர்களைப்போல அல்லாமல் பரிசுத்தர்களாக நாம் வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம்; ஒரு வேறுபிரிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களாக வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். "ஆதலால் நீங்கள் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்திப் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்." ( லேவியராகமம் 20: 7) நாம் பரிசுத்தர்களாக மாறும்போதுதான் தேவனைத் தரிசிக்க முடியும்; அவரோடு ஐக்கியம் கொள்ளமுடியும்;  அவரது கிருபையினைப் பெறமுடியும். எனவேதான்,  "யாவரோடும் சமாதானமாயிருக்கவும், பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கவும் நாடுங்கள்; பரிசுத்தமில்லாமல் ஒருவனும் கர்த்தரைத் தரிசிப்பதில்லையே." ( எபிரெயர் 12: 14) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மால் நமது சுய முயற்சியால் நாம் பரிசுத்தர்களாக மாறமுடியாது. அது கிறிஸ்து நம்மில் செயல்படும்போது மட்டுமே முடியும். காரணம், நாம் பரிசுத்தமாகவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே கிறிஸ்துச்  சிலுவையில் பலியானார். பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்கள் மிருகங்களைப் பலியிட்டு அவற்றின் இரத்தத்தால் தங்கள் பாவங்களைச் சுத்திகரித்து பாவமன்னிப்பு பெற்றனர். ஆனால் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டின்கால மக்களாகிய நாமோ கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றோம்.  ஆம், "இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சரீரம் ஒரேதரம் பலியிடப்பட்டதினாலே, அந்தச் சித்தத்தின்படி நாம் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்." ( எபிரெயர் 10: 10)

ஒருவேளை இதனை வாசிக்கும் நீங்கள் இன்று பல்வேறு தேவைகளுக்காக ஒரு அற்புதத்தை தேவனிடம் எதிர்பார்த்துக் காத்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால், அந்த அற்புதத்தை வாழ்வில் பெறவேண்டுமானால் யோசுவா கூறுவதைப்போல முதலில் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டுப் பரிசுத்தமாகவேண்டியது அவசியம். பாவங்களை கிறிஸ்துவிடம் அறிக்கையிடும்போது மட்டுமே அவை மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு பரிசுத்தமாக முடியும். ஆம், உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம் பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; அப்போது நாளைக்குக் கர்த்தர் உங்கள் நடுவிலே அற்புதங்களைச் செய்வார் என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி வாழ்க்கையில் அற்புத மாற்றத்தினைக் காண முடியும். 

இன்றே கிறிஸ்துவிடம் நமது பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம். நாளைக்குக் கர்த்தர் உங்கள் நடுவிலே அற்புதங்களைச் செய்வார். "...அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்." (1 யோவான்  1 : 7)

"Inside the Seeds" 🌳

Scripture Meditation No. 1689
AATHAVAN – 22.09.2025, Monday

“Then Joshua said to the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do miracles among you.’” (Joshua 3:5)

The journey of Israel toward Canaan was entirely led by the Lord. The Israelites were not well-trained warriors. Yet they overcame battle-hardened and experienced armies. All of these were the wondrous acts of God. But now, standing before them was the Jordan River, blocking their entry into Canaan.

After Moses, Joshua led the people toward the Promised Land. Looking at the Israelites, he declared today’s meditation verse. He directed them not to fear the river but to prepare themselves in holiness: “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do miracles among you.” Yes, beloved, today we run to God with many needs. But we often fail to reflect on how our own lives truly stand before Him.

We read: “So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.” (Leviticus 20:26 NASB). To be called a Christian means we have been set apart from the rest. There is no meaning in living carelessly like the world, and only rushing to God when we have a need. What we need is a separated, holy experience.

It is necessary that we live as holy people, distinct from others. “So you shall consecrate yourselves and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 20:7 NASB). Only when we become holy can we see God, unite with Him, and receive His grace. That is why it is written: “Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14 NASB).

Beloved, by our own efforts we cannot become holy. It is only possible when Christ works in us. That is the very reason He sacrificed Himself on the cross—that we may be holy. In the Old Testament, people offered animal sacrifices and were cleansed through their blood. But as people of the New Covenant, we have been sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ. Yes, “By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.” (Hebrews 10:10 NASB).

Perhaps you who are reading this today are waiting on God for a miracle in your life. But if you truly want to receive that miracle, you must first be forgiven and sanctified, just as Joshua instructed. Only when sins are confessed to Christ will they be forgiven, and we can be made holy. Yes—“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do miracles among you”—when we live in holiness, we will surely witness a miraculous transformation in our lives.

Let us therefore confess our sins to Christ today and seek His forgiveness. Then tomorrow, the Lord will perform wonders in our midst. For “…the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7 NASB).

🦋 Meditation verse - 1 கொரிந்தியர் 15 : 48 / 1 Corinthians 15:48

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1688                                          ஆதவன் 21.09.2025 ஞாயிறு        

"மண்ணானவன் எப்படிப்பட்டவனோ மண்ணானவர்களும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே; வானத்துக்குரியவர் எப்படிப்பட்டவரோ, வானத்துக்குரியவர்களும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 15 : 48 )

ஆதாமையும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவையும் ஒப்பிட்டுக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள வசனமே இன்றைய தியான வசனம். நாம் மண்ணான ஆதாமைப் போன்றவர்களா இல்லையானால் வானத்துக்குரிய கிறிஸ்துவைப் போன்றவர்களா என்று நிதானித்துப்பார்க்க இந்த வசனம் துணை செய்கின்றது.

மண்ணான ஆதாம் எப்படிப்பட்டவன்? அவன் தேவனுக்குக்  கீழ்ப்படியாதவன்; தனது இச்சையின்படி நடந்தவன்.  ஆதாமும் ஏவாளும் தேவ கட்டளையைவிட தங்களது கண்களின் இச்சையையே பெரிதாக எண்ணினர். "அப்பொழுது ஸ்திரீயானவள், அந்த விருட்சம் புசிப்புக்கு நல்லதும், பார்வைக்கு இன்பமும், புத்தியைத் தெளிவிக்கிறதற்கு இச்சிக்கப்படத்தக்க விருட்சமுமாய் இருக்கிறது என்று கண்டு, அதின் கனியைப் பறித்து, புசித்து, தன் புருஷனுக்கும் கொடுத்தாள்; அவனும் புசித்தான்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 3 : 6 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. மண்ணுக்குரிய மனிதர்களாக வாழ்பவர்கள் இப்படி ஆதாமைப் போல உலக நாட்டம் இச்சைகளில் சிக்கியவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.  

ஆனால், இதற்கு மாறாக வானத்துக்குரிய கிறிஸ்துவோ பிதாவுக்கு முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்படிபவராக வாழ்ந்தார், உலகில் தன்னை நெருக்கி நின்ற  பாவ இச்சைகளை மேற்கொண்டவராக இருந்தார்.  "நம்முடைய பலவீனங்களைக்குறித்துப் பரிதபிக்கக்கூடாத பிரதான ஆசாரியர் நமக்கிராமல், எல்லாவிதத்திலும் நம்மைப்போல் சோதிக்கப்பட்டும், பாவமில்லாதவராயிருக்கிற பிரதான ஆசாரியரே நமக்கிருக்கிறார்." ( எபிரெயர் 4 : 15 ) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆம், எல்லா விதத்திலும் அவர் நம்மைப்போல சோதிக்கப்பட்டார். ஆனால் அந்தச் சோதனைகளை அவர் வென்றார். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனம், மண்ணானவன் எப்படிப்பட்டவனோ மண்ணானவர்களும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே என்று கூறுகின்றது. அதாவது, நாம் ஆதாமைபோல உலக இன்பங்களில் நாட்டம்கொண்டு வாழ்வோமானால் நாமும் மண்ணான ஆதாமைப் போன்றவர்களே. ஆனால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குரிய மேலான எண்ணமுடையவர்களாய் வாழ்வோமானால் வானத்துக்குரிய அவர் எப்படிப்பட்டவரோ, அப்படியே நாமும் இருப்போம். 

மேலும், அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பவுல் கூறுகின்றார், இப்போது நாம் இந்த உலகத்தில் ஆதாமைப்போல மண்ணான உடம்பினைப் பெற்றிருக்கின்றோம். ஆனால், நாம்  வானத்துக்குரிய கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வோமானால் அவரைப்போல வானவர் சாயலையும் பெறுவோம். மாம்சமும் இரத்தமும் மேலுலக வாழ்வைச்  சுதந்தரிக்கமுடியாது என்பதால் நாம் உருமாற்றமடைந்து வானவருடைய சாயலையும் அணிந்துகொள்வோம்.  "சகோதரரே, நான் சொல்லுகிறதென்னவெனில், மாம்சமும் இரத்தமும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைச் சுதந்தரிக்கமாட்டாது; அழிவுள்ளது அழியாமையைச் சுதந்தரிப்பதுமில்லை." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 15 : 50 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

எனவே கிறிஸ்து இருக்கும் மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய பரலோக வாழ்வில் நுழைந்திட இப்போது இந்த உலகத்தில் மண்ணானவனுடைய சாயலை நாம் அணிந்திருக்கிறதுபோல, வானவருடைய சாயலையும் அணிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டியது அவசியம்.  ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 15 : 49 )

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் ஆதாமைப்போல இவ்வுலகப்   பொருட்களில் மட்டுமே இச்சைகொண்டு மண்ணின் சாயலை அணிந்துகொள்வோமானால் ஆதாமைப்போல புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக இருப்போம்.   மாறாக கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இருக்கும் பரலோகத்துக்குரிய மேலானவைகளை நாடுவோமானால் நாம் வானத்துக்குரியவர்கள் ஆவோம். அப்போது, வானத்துக்குரியவர் எப்படிப்பட்டவரோ, வானத்துக்குரிய நாமும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களாவோம்.  

"நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுடன்கூட எழுந்ததுண்டானால், கிறிஸ்து தேவனுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கும் இடத்திலுள்ள மேலானவைகளைத் தேடுங்கள். பூமியிலுள்ளவைகளையல்ல, மேலானவைகளையே நாடுங்கள்." ( கொலோசெயர் 3 : 1-2 ) கிறிஸ்து இருக்குமிடத்திலுள்ள மேலானவைகளையே தேடுவோம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1688

AATHAVAN – 21.09.2025, Sunday 

“As is the earthy one, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly One, so also are those who are heavenly.” (1 Corinthians 15:48 NASB)

Today’s meditation verse compares Adam and the Lord Jesus Christ. It helps us reflect whether we are living like Adam, the man of dust, or like Christ, the Man of heaven.

Who was Adam, the man of dust? He was disobedient to God and lived according to his own desires. Adam and Eve considered the desire of their eyes more important than God’s command. “When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband with her, and he ate.” (Genesis 3:6 NASB). Those who live as “earthly people” remain entangled in worldly desires and passions just like Adam.

In contrast, Christ, the heavenly One, lived in complete obedience to the Father, overcoming every sinful temptation. “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15 NASB). Yes, He was tempted in every way like us, but He overcame.

Today’s verse reminds us that just as the earthly one was, so also are the earthly people. If we live with a love for worldly pleasures like Adam, then we too are earthly. But if we set our minds on the things of Christ, then we will resemble the heavenly One.

The apostle Paul further explains that for now, we have a body of dust like Adam. Yet, if we live a life worthy of Christ, we will also bear the image of the heavenly. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the heavenly kingdom, so we will be transformed to bear the likeness of the heavenly One. “Now I say this, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.” (1 Corinthians 15:50 NASB).

Therefore, if we are to enter into the higher, spiritual, heavenly life where Christ is, we must also put on the likeness of the heavenly, just as now we bear the likeness of the earthly. “Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.” (1 Corinthians 15:49 NASB).

Dearly beloved, if we set our desires on earthly things and put on the image of the earthly, we will be cast aside like Adam. But if we long for the higher things where Christ is, then we will be heavenly. And as the heavenly One is, so we also shall be.

Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.” (Colossians 3:1-2 NASB). Let us seek the things above, where Christ is seated.

🦋 Meditation verse - 1 பேதுரு 2 : 25 / 1 Peter 2:25

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1687                                          ஆதவன் 20.09.2025  சனி        

"சிதறுண்ட ஆடுகளைப்போலிருந்தீர்கள்; இப்பொழுதோ உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு மேய்ப்பரும் கண்காணியுமானவரிடத்தில் திருப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்." ( 1 பேதுரு 2 : 25 )

சிதறுண்ட ஆடுகள் அல்லது வழிதப்பிய ஆடுகள் என்பது கிறிஸ்துவை அறியாமல் நாம் வாழ்ந்த பழைய வாழ்கையினைக் குறிக்கின்றது. இப்படி வழிதப்பிய ஆடுகளின் நிலைமை எப்படியிருக்கும் என்பதனை நாம் உணர்ந்துகொண்டால் மட்டுமே கிறிஸ்துவால் மீட்கப்படும் அனுபவத்துக்குப்பின் நமது வாழ்க்கை மாற்றம் எப்படி இருக்கும் என்பதனையும் நாம் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்துகொள்ளமுடியும். 

வழிதவறிய ஆடுகளுக்கு முதல் பிரச்சனை உணவு மற்றும் உறைவிடம்தான். மேய்ப்பனிடம் வாழும்போது அவைகளுக்கு ஏற்றவேளையில் உணவு, தண்ணீர் கிடைக்கும். மட்டுமல்ல, தங்குவதற்கு நல்ல தொழுவம் இருக்கும். மழை, வெயில் நேரங்களில் போதிய தங்கும் வசதி கிடைக்கும். மேலும், மேய்ப்பனிடம் வாழும்போது கொடிய வனவிலங்குகளிடமிருந்து போதிய  பாதுகாப்புக்  கிடைக்கும். 

கிறிஸ்துவாகிய நல்லாயனை விட்டுவிலகி வாழ்ந்தபோது நாம் சிதறுண்ட, வழிதவறிய  ஆடுகளைப்போலத்தான் இருந்தோம். நம்மைப் பல்வேறு பிரச்சனைகளும் தேவைகளும் நெருக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தன.    ஆனால், இப்பொழுதோ நமது ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு மேய்ப்பரும் கண்காணியுமானவரிடத்தில் திருப்பப்பட்டிருக்கின்றோம் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. எனவே கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசித்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அவரிடம் திரும்பியுள்ள நமக்கு இப்போதுப் போதிய உணவு, உறைவிடம் பாதுகாப்பு உண்டு. 

நல்லாயனாம் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமக்குப் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அளித்த மாபெரும் கொடை. ஏனெனில் வழிதவறிய நமது மீட்புக்காகவே பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அவரை உலகுக்கு அளித்தார். அதுவும் மிகப்பெரிய பாடுகளை அவர் ஏற்றுகொள்ளச் செய்து அவரை நமக்கு அருளினார். ஆம்,  "நாமெல்லாரும் ஆடுகளைப்போல வழிதப்பித் திரிந்து, அவனவன் தன்தன் வழியிலே போனோம்; கர்த்தரோ நம்மெல்லாருடைய அக்கிரமத்தையும் அவர்மேல் விழப்பண்ணினார்." ( ஏசாயா 53 : 6 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இந்த நல்லாயனாம் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறுகின்றார்:- "நானே நல்ல மேய்ப்பன்; பிதா என்னை அறிந்திருக்கிறதுபோலவும், நான் பிதாவை அறிந்திருக்கிறதுபோலவும், நான் என்னுடையவைகளை அறிந்தும் என்னுடையவைகளால் அறியப்பட்டுமிருக்கிறேன்; ஆடுகளுக்காக என் ஜீவனையும் கொடுக்கிறேன்." ( யோவான் 10 : 14-15 ) என்று. நமக்குப் பாதுகாப்பு அளிக்கும் கிறிஸ்து நம் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் அறிந்திருக்கின்றார்; நமது தேவைகளை அறிந்திருக்கின்றார்.  மட்டுமல்ல, நமக்காக தனது உயிரையும் கொடுத்தவர் அவர் என்பதனையும்  நாம் மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது.  

சிதறுண்ட ஆடுகளைப்போலிருந்த நாம் இப்போது நல்லாயனிடம் வந்துவிட்டோம். எனவே, தாவீது கூறியதுபோல "நான் மரண இருளின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே நடந்தாலும் பொல்லாப்புக்குப் பயப்படேன்; ஏனெனில் தேவரீர் என்னோடேகூட இருக்கிறீர்; உமது கோலும் உமது தடியும் என்னைத் தேற்றும்." ( சங்கீதம் 23 : 4 ) என்று மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறி அவரோடு இணைந்து தொடர்ந்து வாழ்வோம்.

“Inside the Seeds” 🌳

Scripture Meditation No. 1687
AATHAVAN – 20.09.2025, Saturday

“For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:25, NASB)

Straying or scattered sheep represent our old life without Christ. Only when we realize the condition of a lost sheep can we fully understand the transformation that happens in our lives once we are redeemed by Christ.

The first struggles of a lost sheep are food and shelter. When under the shepherd’s care, sheep have timely food and water. They also have a safe fold for rest and protection during rain or scorching sun. Moreover, the shepherd guards them from dangerous wild animals.

Likewise, when we lived apart from Christ, the Good Shepherd, we were like scattered and straying sheep, pressed with many needs and problems. But today’s verse tells us that now we have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls. Therefore, those of us who believe and have accepted Christ now enjoy sufficient food, shelter, and protection.

Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, is God the Father’s greatest gift to us. For our salvation, the Father gave His Son to the world and even allowed Him to suffer greatly for us. Truly, “All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all to fall on Him.” (Isaiah 53:6, NASB).

This Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, said: “I am the good shepherd, and I know My own, and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.” (John 10:14–15, NASB). Christ, who protects us, knows each of us personally, knows our needs, and even gave His life for us—something we should never forget.

We who were once like scattered sheep have now come to the Good Shepherd. Therefore, like David we too can joyfully declare: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4, NASB). Let us continue to live with Him in joy and fellowship.

🦋 Meditation verse - அப். நடபடிகள் 4 : 11 / Acts 4:11

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1686                                          ஆதவன் 19.09.2025  வெள்ளி       

"வீடுகட்டுகிறவர்களாகிய உங்களால் அற்பமாய் எண்ணப்பட்ட அவரே மூலைக்குத் தலைக்கல்லானவர்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 4 : 11 )

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் மரணத்துக்குப்பின் அப்போஸ்தலர்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு மிகப்பெரிய சாட்சிகளாய் இருந்தனர். அவர்களது வல்லமையான பிரசங்கங்கள் மக்கள் மத்தியில் மிகப்பெரிய ஆவிக்குரிய எழுப்புதலை ஏற்படுத்தின.  எனவே பிரதான ஆசாரியனாகிய அன்னாவும் காய்ப்பாவும் அவர்களைப்பிடித்து விசாரித்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்து பிரசங்கிக்கக்கூடாது என்று கண்டித்தனர். அப்படி அவர்களை விசாரணை செய்தபோது அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். 

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை கட்டடம் கட்டும்போது பயன்படுத்தும் பிரதானக் கல்லான  மூலைக்கல்லுக்கு வேதம் ஒப்பிடுகின்றது. கட்டிடங்களுக்கு அடிக்கல் நாட்டும்போது மூலைக்கல் சிறப்பான அங்கீகாரம் பெறும். அந்தக்கல்லை நாட்டும்போது ஜெபித்து, ஆசீர்வதித்து நாட்டுவார்கள். ஆனால் அந்தச் கல்லோ பார்வைக்கு மாற்றக்கற்களைவிட எந்த வேறுபாடுமில்லாததாகவே  இருக்கும். மட்டுமல்ல, சிலவேளைகளில் கொத்தனார்கள் கட்டுமானத்துக்கு ஆகாது என ஒதுக்கிய கல்லாகவும் இருக்கும்.  

இதுபோலவே நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் இருந்தார். அவர் மனிதர்களால் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டார்; புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டார். யூதர்களுக்கு அவரது மகிமை தெரியவில்லை. அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழும் நாமும்கூட பலவேளைகளில் இப்படியே தள்ளப்பட்ட கற்களைப்போல குடும்பத்தினரால், சமூகத்தால், ஒதுக்கப்படலாம்; அற்பமாக எண்ணப்படலாம். ஆனால்,  ஜீவனுள்ள கல்லாகிய அவரிடத்தில் சேர்ந்தவர்களாகிய நாமும் ஜீவனுள்ள கற்களைப்போல ஆவிக்கேற்ற மாளிகையாகக் கட்டப்பட்டு வருகின்றோம். 

"மனுஷரால் தள்ளப்பட்டதாயினும், தேவனால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டதும் விலையேறப்பெற்றதுமாயிருக்கிற ஜீவனுள்ள கல்லாகிய அவரிடத்தில் சேர்ந்தவர்களாகிய நீங்களும், ஜீவனுள்ள கற்களைப்போல ஆவிக்கேற்ற மாளிகையாகவும், இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மூலமாய் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமான ஆவிக்கேற்ற பலிகளைச் செலுத்தும்படிக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஆசாரியக்கூட்டமாகவும் கட்டப்பட்டுவருகிறீர்கள்". ( 1 பேதுரு 2 : 4-5 ) என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு. 

சாதாரண பெயர் கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு இப்படி ஒதுக்கப்படும் அல்லது புறக்கணிக்கப்படும் அனுபவம் இருக்காது. காரணம் அவர்கள் உலகத்தோடு ஒத்து வாழ்வதால் உலகம் அவர்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும். ஆனால் ஆவிக்குரிய விசுவாசிகளுக்கு அப்படியல்ல, அவர்களை குடும்பமும் அவர்கள் வாழும் சமூகமும் அவர்களைப் புறக்கணிக்கும்; அற்பமாகக் கருதும். இதனால்தான், "நீங்கள் உலகத்தாராயிருந்தால், உலகம் தன்னுடையதைச் சிநேகித்திருக்கும்; நீங்கள் உலகத்தாராயிராதபடியினாலும், நான் உங்களை உலகத்திலிருந்து தெரிந்துகொண்டபடியினாலும், உலகம் உங்களைப் பகைக்கிறது." ( யோவான் 15 : 19 ) என்று கூறினார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

எனவே நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் மனிதர்களின் புறக்கணிப்பைத் தாண்டி நாம் முன்னேறவேண்டியது அவசியம். விலையேறப்பெற்ற மூலைக்கல்லாகிய அவரை உறுதியாகப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளாவிட்டால் நாமும் இடறுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள்.  "ஆகையால் விசுவாசிக்கிற உங்களுக்கு அது விலையேறப்பெற்றது; கீழ்ப்படியாமலிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கோ வீட்டைக் கட்டுகிறவர்களால் தள்ளப்பட்ட பிரதான மூலைக்கல்லாகிய அந்தக் கல் இடறுதற்கேதுவான கல்லும் விழுதற்கேதுவான கன்மலையுமாயிற்று" ( 1 பேதுரு 2 : 7 ) 

மெய்யாக அவரை மட்டுமே விசுவாசிப்பவர்களுக்கு மூலைக்கல்லாகிய கிறிஸ்து விலையேறப்பெற்றவர். மற்றவர்களுக்கோ தாங்கள் வழிபடும் மற்றவர்களில் ஒருவராக மட்டுமே அவர் இருப்பதால் இடறுதலுக்குரிய கல்லாகவே இருக்கின்றார்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1686
AATHAVAN – 19.09.2025 – Friday

“He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief cornerstone.” (Acts 4:11 NASB)

After the death of Jesus Christ, the apostles became mighty witnesses for Him. Their powerful preaching brought about a great spiritual awakening among the people. Because of this, the high priest Annas, along with Caiaphas, seized them, questioned them, and strictly commanded them not to preach about Jesus Christ. During such an interrogation, the apostle Peter quoted today’s meditation verse.

Scripture compares our Lord Jesus Christ to the cornerstone used in building. When laying the foundation of a building, the cornerstone receives special honour. It is often set with prayer and blessing. Yet, in appearance, it may look no different from other stones. Sometimes, it might even be a stone that masons had rejected as unfit for construction.

In the same way, our Lord Jesus Christ was rejected and despised by men. The Jews did not recognize His glory. Dear ones, even we who live a spiritual life may at times face rejection—by our own family, by society, or by those around us—just like those stones that were set aside as worthless. But as those who come to Him, the living stone, we too are being built up as living stones into a spiritual house.

The apostle Peter says: “And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:4–5 NASB)

Nominal Christians may never face such rejection or neglect, for the world accepts them as they conform to its ways. But for true spiritual believers, the opposite is true—family and society often disregard them and consider them of little worth. That is why Jesus Christ said: “If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.” (John 15:19 NASB)

Therefore, in our spiritual journey, it is vital to move forward beyond human rejection. If we do not firmly hold on to Him, the precious cornerstone, we too will stumble.
“This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for unbelievers, ‘A stone which the builders rejected, this became the chief cornerstone,’ and, ‘A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.’” (1 Peter 2:7 NASB)

Truly, for those who believe, Christ the cornerstone is precious. But for others, He is nothing more than one among the many they worship—and so He remains a stone of stumbling to them.
