சுயமகிமை / OWN GLORY

 'ஆதவன்' 📖✝ வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,133       💚 மார்ச் 17, 2024 💚 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை 💚

"சுயமாய்ப் பேசுகிறவன் தன் சுயமகிமையைத் தேடுகிறான், தன்னை அனுப்பினவரின் மகிமையைத் தேடுகிறவனோ உண்மையுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான், அவனிடத்தில் அநீதியில்லை." ( யோவான் 7 : 18 )

நேற்றைய தியானத்தில் நாம் "தேவனால் வருகின்ற மகிமையை நாடாமல் உலக மகிமைக்காக ஏங்குபவர்கள் தாங்கள்  தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கின்றோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டாலும் உள்ளான மனதில் உலக பெருமைக்காகவே ஏங்குபவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்" என்று கண்டோம். அதன்தொடர்ச்சியாகவே இன்றைய தியானத்தை நாம் கொள்ளலாம். சுய மகிமையைத் தேடும் ஊழியர்களும் மக்களும் தங்களது அந்தஸ்தையும் பொருளாதாரத்தையும் உயர்த்திக்கொள்ள தேவ வசனங்களை தங்களுக்கேற்ப மாற்றி பேசுபவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். 

அதனையே இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "சுயமாய்ப் பேசுகிறவன் தன் சுயமகிமையைத் தேடுகிறான்"  என்று கூறுகின்றார். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் போதிக்கும் வழியினைவிட்டு தங்களது மூளை அறிவால் நற்செய்தி அறிவிப்பவர்கள் தான் சுயமாய்ப் பேசுபவர்கள். அவர்கள் எப்போதும் தங்கள் சுய மகிமையை காத்துக்கொள்ளவே விரும்புவார்கள். அதற்கேற்ப பிரசங்கிப்பார்கள். 

ஆனால், "தன்னை அனுப்பினவரின் மகிமையைத் தேடுகிறவனோ உண்மையுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான், அவனிடத்தில் அநீதியில்லை." என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. மெய்யாகவே ஊழியத்துக்குத் தேவனால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்கள் தான் தேவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்கள். அப்படி அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்கள் தங்களை அனுப்பியவரின் மகிமைக்காகவே உழைப்பார்கள், போதிப்பார்கள். எனவே அவர்களிடம்தான் மெய்யான நற்செய்தியை நாம் அறியமுடியும்.   

அன்பானவர்களே, ஒருவன் சுய விருப்பத்தின்படி ஊழியக்காரனாக மாறினானா அல்லது தேவனே அவனைத் தெரிந்தெடுத்து ஊழியத்துக்கு அனுப்பினாரா என்பதனை நாம் நமக்குத் தேவனோடு தனிப்பட்ட உறவினை வளர்த்துக்கொண்டால் மட்டுமே கண்டுணரமுடியும். எல்லோரும் வேதாகமத்திலிருந்து வசனங்களை மேற்கோள்காட்டிதான் பேசுவார்கள். ஆனால் அந்த வசனங்களைத் தேவன் எந்த அர்த்தத்தில், நோக்கத்தில் கூறினார் என்பதை உணர்ந்து சரியாகப் போதிப்பவனே தேவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்டவன்.  

இன்று பொதுவாக கிறிஸ்தவ விசுவாசிகள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பலருக்கும் தேவனோடு தனிப்பட்டத் தொடர்பு இருப்பதில்லை. அதனை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள அவர்கள் விரும்புவதும் இல்லை. உடனடி நிவாரணம்போல தேவ வசனங்களை யாராவது பேசி தங்களுக்காக ஜெபிப்பதையே விசுவாசிகள் விரும்புகின்றனர். இதனால் சுய மகிமையைத் தேடும் ஊழியர்களும் விசுவாசிகளுமாகக் கிறிஸ்துவின்  திருச்சபை மாறிப்போனது. 

தன்னை அனுப்பின மெய்தேவனாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமையைத் தேடுகிறவனோ உண்மையுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான், அவனிடத்தில் அநீதியில்லை என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. அதாவது உண்மையாக வாழும் அவர்களிடம் அநீதி இருப்பதில்லை. அவர்கள் பணம் சம்பாதிக்க கிறிஸ்துவைத் தேடமாட்டார்கள். இன்று பிற மார்க்கத்து மக்கள்கூட அழகாக அவர்களுக்குத் தெரிந்த ஆன்மீக முறையில் ஜெபிக்கின்றனர். பல ஜெபங்கள் நேர்மையானவையாகவே இருக்கின்றன. ஆனால் பல கிறிஸ்தவர்களது ஜெபங்கள் அவைகளைவிட மட்டமானவைகளாக இருக்கின்றன. 

ஆன்மீகத்தைத் தேடி பல்வேறு யோகிகளையும் சத்குருக்களையும் தேடி அலையும் மக்களிடம் வெற்று பண ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் காட்டி நாம்  எப்படி மனமாற்றத்தைக் கொண்டுவர முடியும்?  சுய மகிமையை விட்டு ஆவியானவருக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வாழும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் உண்மையினை அறிய முடியும். 

"சத்திய ஆவியாகிய அவர் வரும்போது, சகல சத்தியத்திற்குள்ளும் உங்களை நடத்துவார்; அவர் தம்முடைய சுயமாய்ப் பேசாமல், தாம் கேள்விப்பட்டவைகள் யாவையுஞ்சொல்லி, வரப்போகிற காரியங்களை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பார்." ( யோவான் 16 : 13 ) என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அப்படி சத்திய ஆவியானவரை வாழ்வில் கொண்டவனே தன்னை அனுப்பினவரின் மகிமையைத் தேடுபவனாகவும் உண்மையுள்ளவனாகவும் இருப்பான். அவனிடத்தில் அநீதி இருப்பதில்லை.

                            OWN GLORY

'AATHAVAN' 📖✝ BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,133   💚 March 17, 2024 💚 Sunday 💚

"He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory; but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him." (John 7: 18)

In yesterday's meditation, we saw that "those who seek the glory of the world without seeking the glory that comes from God are still longing for worldly glory in their hearts, even though they claim to believe in God." Following that, we can do today's meditation. Christian ministers and people who seek self-glorification will adapt God's verses to increase their status and economy.

That is what Jesus Christ says: "He that speaks of himself seeketh his own glory." Self-speakers are those who leave the way of the Holy Spirit and preach the gospel with their brain knowledge. They always want to protect their own glory. They will preach accordingly.

But "he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him is faithful, and there is no unrighteousness in him." Jesus Christ says: True preachers are those chosen by God for ministry. Those who are so sent will work and teach for the glory of the One who sent them. So, we can know the true gospel from them.

Beloved, we can only find out if a person has become a minister of his own or if God has chosen him and sent him to the ministry if we develop a personal relationship with God. Everyone talks by quoting verses from the Bible. But the one who understands the meaning and purpose of those verses and teaches them is the one sent by God.

Most professing Christians today do not have a personal relationship with God. Nor do they want to develop it. Believers want someone to speak God's words and pray for them as instant relief. Thus, the Church of Christ has become servants and believers seeking self-glory.

Today's verse says that he who seeks the glory of Christ, the true God who sent him, is faithful, and there is no injustice in him. That is, there is no injustice for those who live truthfully. They don't seek Christ to make money. Today, even people of other faiths pray in a spiritual manner known to them. Many prayers are sincere. But the prayers of many Christians are shallower than that.

How can we bring about conversion by showing empty money blessings and worldly blessings to the people who are looking for different yogis and satgurus in search of spirituality? We can know the truth only when we give up self-glory and surrender ourselves to the Spirit.

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will shew your things to come." (John 16:13), said Jesus Christ. Thus, he who has the Spirit of Truth in his life will be faithful and seek the glory of him who sent him. There is no injustice with him.

உங்களில் தேவ அன்பு இல்லை / YOU DO NOT HAVE THE LOVE OF GOD IN YOU

"உங்களில் தேவ அன்பு இல்லையென்று உங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன். நான் என் பிதாவின் நாமத்தினாலே வந்திருந்தும் நீங்கள் என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை, வேறொருவன் தன் சுயநாமத்தினாலே வந்தால் அவனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவீர்கள்." ( யோவான் 5 : 42, 43 )

இன்றைய சூழலில் உலக ஆசை இச்சைகளையே நிறைவேற்றிட ஜெபிப்பவர்களையும் அத்தகைய ஆசையை விசுவாசிகளிடம் தூண்டிவிடும் ஊழியர்களையும் பார்த்து இயேசு கூறுவதாக இந்த வசனம் பொருள்கொள்வதாக இருக்கின்றது.

தேவ அன்பினால் நிறைந்த  மனிதன் எப்போதும் தேவனையே சார்ந்து அவரையே அன்பு செய்பவனாக இருப்பான். உலக ஆசைகளோ, கவர்ச்சிகளோ அவனை அதிகம் பாதிக்காது. அத்தகைய தேவ அன்புள்ள மனிதனது ஜெபங்கள் வித்தியாசமானவைகளாக இருக்கும். உலக ஆசை தேவைகளைப்  பூர்த்திசெய்வது அத்தகைய மனிதர்களில் முதன்மையானதாக இருக்காது. 

ஆனால் தேவனால் வருகின்ற மகிமையை நாடாமல் உலக மகிமைக்காக ஏங்குபவர்கள் தாங்கள்  தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கின்றோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டாலும் ஆலய வழிபாடுகளில் கலந்துகொண்டாலும் உள்ளான மனதில் உலக பெருமைக்காகவே ஏங்குபவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். தங்களுக்கிருக்கும் பதவி, பணம், புகழ், அதிகாரம் இவைகளைக்கண்டு மற்றவர்கள் தங்களை மகிமைப்படுத்தவேண்டும் என்றே இவர்கள் எண்ணுவார்கள். 

இதனானால்தான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இன்றைய வாசகத்துடன் நிறுத்தாமல் தொடர்ந்து கூறினார்,  "தேவனாலேமாத்திரம் வருகிற மகிமையைத் தேடாமல், ஒருவராலொருவர் மகிமையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிற நீங்கள் எப்படி விசுவாசிப்பீர்கள்?" ( யோவான் 5 : 44 ) என்று. அதாவது அவர்கள் தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கின்றோம் என்று கூறிக்கொள்வது பொய்யானதாகும். மேற்படி உலக மகிமையைத் தேடும் மனிதர்கள் உண்மையான விசுவாசிகள் அல்ல.  அவர்கள் இந்த உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் மூலம் மனிதரால் வரும் மகிமையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள விரும்புபவர்கள். 

இன்றைய வசனத்தில் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துத் தொடர்ந்து கூறுகின்றார், "நான் என் பிதாவின் நாமத்தினாலே வந்திருந்தும் நீங்கள் என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை, வேறொருவன் தன் சுயநாமத்தினாலே வந்தால் அவனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவீர்கள்." என்று. அதாவது இத்தகைய உலக மகிமையைத் தேடுபவர்கள் மெய்யான மனம்திரும்புதலுக்குரிய நற்செய்திகளைக் கேட்க மனமில்லாமல் தங்களது சுய அறிவுப்படி போதிக்கும் ஒருவனை ஏற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று ஆசீர்வாத போதகர்களுக்குப்பின் திரளான கூட்டம் ஓடுவதற்கான காரணம் இதுதான். அதாவது அவர்கள் உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்கள்மூலம் தங்களது மகிமையினை உயர்திக்கொள்வதற்காக சுய போதனை செய்யும் ஆசீர்வாதப் போதகர்கள்பின் ஓடுகின்றனர். இத்தகைய மனிதர்களை பார்த்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அன்று யூதர்களைப் பார்த்துக் கூறியதுபோலக் கூறுகின்றார், "உங்களில் தேவ அன்பு இல்லையென்று உங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்." தேவ அன்பு இருக்குமானால் அவன் தேவனையேத் தேடுவான். 

இன்று உலக அன்புக்கு அடிமையான தேவ அன்பு இல்லாத ஊழியர்களால் கிறிஸ்தவம் பிற மார்க்கத்து மனிதர்கள்முன் நகைப்புக்குரிய ஒன்றாக மாறிப்போனது பரிதாபகரமான உண்மை. கிறிஸ்தவத்தின் மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய பண்புகள், குணங்கள், சத்தியங்கள் இவை சுய மகிமையைத் தேடும் ஊழியர்களால் மறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.  சமூக வலைத்தளங்களிலும் இத்தகைய சுயமகிமை ஊழியர்களே ஆக்கிரமிப்புச் செய்துள்ளனர். இவர்களது அவலட்சணமான உலக ஆசை காணொலிகள் மற்றவர்களால் அதிகம் பகிரப்பட்டு கிறிஸ்தவம் கேலிக்குள்ளாக்கப்பட்டு கிறிஸ்து திரும்பத் திரும்பச் சிலுவையில் அறையப்படுகின்றார்.

இதனை வாசிக்கும் அனுப்புச் சகோதரனே, சகோதரியே நம்மைப்பார்த்து கிறிஸ்து "உங்களில் தேவ அன்பு இல்லையென்று உங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்." என்று சொல்லிடாதவாறு நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம். கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு மெய்யான சாட்சிகளாக வாழ்வோம்.

YOU DO NOT HAVE THE LOVE OF GOD IN YOU

"But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not; if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." (John 5:42, 43)

In today's situation, this verse means that Jesus is speaking about those who pray to fulfil the desires of the world and the ministers who inspire such desires in believers.

A man full of God's love will always depend on God and love Him. Worldly desires and attractions do not affect him much. The prayers of such a God-loving man would be different. Satisfying the needs of worldly desires will not be the priority of such people.

But those who yearn for worldly glory without seeking the glory that comes from God, even if they claim to believe in God and participate in church services, are still longing for worldly glory in their inner hearts. They will think that others should glorify them for their position, money, fame, and power.

This is why Jesus Christ continues with today's text, "How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?" (John 5:44) That is, to say that they claim to believe in God is false. Men who seek such worldly glory are not true believers. They want to accept the glory that comes from men through the blessings of this world.

In today's verse, Jesus Christ continues, “I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not; if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. "That is, those who seek such worldly glory will accept someone who preaches according to their own knowledge without having the heart to hear the gospel of true repentance.

Beloved, this is the reason why multitudes run after blessing preachers today. That is, they run after self-taught blessing preachers to enhance their own glory with worldly blessings. Looking at such people, Jesus Christ said, as he said to the Jews that day, "I know that you do not have the love of God." If there is love for God, they will seek God first.

Today, it is a sad fact that Christianity has become a laughing stock in the eyes of other religious people due to the loveless servants of God who are slaves to the love of the world. The higher spiritual attributes, like spiritual teachings and the truths of Christianity, are obscured by such ministers seeking self-glorification. Such self-aggrandizing employees have invaded social media as well. Their vile worldly lust videos are widely shared by others, and Christianity is ridiculed and Christ is repeatedly crucified.

Dear brothers and sisters who read this, guard our lives and lead a life pleasing to Jesus Christ. At least He will look at us and say, "I know that you do not have the love of God in you." Let us live as true witnesses for Christ.

தற்கொலை / SUICIDE

 'ஆதவன்' 📖✝ வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,131        💚 மார்ச் 15, 2024 💚 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"உமது வேதம் என் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிராதிருந்தால், என்   துக்கத்திலே    அழிந்துபோயிருப்பேன்". (  சங்கீதம் 119 : 92 )

ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் உலகளவில் சுமார் 8,00,000 பேர் தற்கொலை செய்து கொள்கிறார்கள், இதில்  1,35,000 (17%) பேர் இந்தியாவில் வசிப்பவர்கள். சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள்,  உலக மக்கள் தொகையில் இந்திய மக்கள்தொகை 17.5%. ஆனால், நம்  நாட்டில் உலக அளவில் 17% மக்கள் தற்கொலை செய்து  மடிகின்றனர்.  1987 மற்றும் 2007 க்கு இடையில், தற்கொலை  விகிதம் 1,00,000 பேருக்கு 10 பேர் என இருந்தது என்கின்றன புள்ளிவிபரங்கள்.  

இந்தத் தற்கொலைகளுக்குப் பல்வேறு காரணங்கள் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் எல்லா தற்கொலை மரணங்களும் மனம் சோர்வடைதல் மற்றும் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாமை இவற்றாலேயே நிகழ்கின்றன.  அதாவது இந்த மக்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கையளிக்க யாருமே இல்லாத  நிலைதான் காரணமாக இருக்கின்றது.

ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் துன்பங்கள் உண்டு. சிலர் அவைகளைத் சகித்து வாழ்கின்றனர். சிலர் தாங்கமுடியாமல் தற்கொலையை நாடுகின்றனர். எனது வாழ்விலும் ஒருகாலத்தில் எதிர்காலத்தைப்பற்றி எந்த ஒரு நம்பிக்கையும்  இல்லாமல், வேலை வாய்ப்புக்கள் இல்லாமல், என்னசெய்வது என அறியாமல்தான் இருந்தேன்.  அந்த  வேளையில்தான் என்னைவிட 10 வயது இளையவரான ஒரு சகோதரன் மூலம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்டேன். எனவே அப்போது எனக்கு ஒரே நம்பிக்கையாய் இருந்தவை தேவனது வார்த்தைகள்தான். 

இன்றைய வசனம் எனது வாழ்க்கைக்கு நூறு சதவிகிதம் பொருத்தக்கூடிய வசனம். ஆம், வேதம் என் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிராதிருந்தால், என் துக்கத்திலே அழிந்துபோயிருப்பேன். இன்று இந்த வேதாகமத் தியானங்களை எழுதிக்கொண்டிருந்திருக்க மாட்டேன்.  

இன்று பெரியவர்களது தற்கொலை மட்டுமல்ல, சிறு  குழந்தைகளது தற்கொலையும் அதிக அளவில் நடைபெறுகின்றது.தேர்வில் மதிப்பெண் குறைந்ததால் தற்கொலை, தேர்வை  சந்திக்கப்பயந்து தற்கொலை, ஆசைப்பட்டப்   படிப்பைப்  படிக்க முடியாததால் தற்கொலை, மற்ற மாணவர்கள்  வைத்துள்ளதுபோல பைக், செல்போன் போன்றவைகள்  தங்களுக்கு இல்லாததால் தற்கொலை எனக் குழந்தைகள்  தற்கொலைப் பட்டியல் காரணங்கள்  நீண்டுகொண்டிருக்கின்றன. 

கடன்தொல்லைகள், காதல் தோல்விகள், வேலையில்லாமை இவை வயதுவந்தோர்த்  தற்கொலைக்குக் காரணமாகின்றன.  எனவே, குழந்தைப்  பருவத்திலேயே நமது  குழந்தைகளது மனதில் வேத வசனங்களை பதிய  வைக்கவேண்டும். அந்த வசனங்கள்  அவர்களது நம்பிக்கையை  உறுதிப்படுத்தும்,  மட்டுமல்ல அவர்கள் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு  வாழ்க்கைவாழ உதவிசெய்யும்.

அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனது வார்த்தைகள் பொய் சொல்வதில்லை. தேவனது கரத்தினுள் நம்மை ஒப்படைத்துவிட்டால் அவர்  நிச்சயமாக நம்மைப் பாதுகாத்து நடத்துவார். எந்தவித துன்ப  சூழ்நிலையிலும் ஆறுதல் அளிக்கக்கூடிய வசனம் வேதத்தில்  உண்டு. இப்படி ஆறுதல் அளிக்கும் வசனத்தைகளைத் தங்கள்  வாழ்வில் காணாத மக்கள்தான் தற்கொலை செய்து  மடிக்கின்றனர். 

தாவீது வாழ்வில் பல்வேறு துன்பங்களை அனுபவித்தவர். எந்தவேளையும் அவரது  உயிர் சவுலால் வேட்டையாடப்படலாம்  என்ற  சூழ்நிலை.  பலமுறை சவுல் தாவீதைக் கொன்றுவிடக்கூடிய  நெருக்கமான நிலை ஏற்பட்டது. ஆனால் தாவீது தேவனையே  முழுவதுமாகப் பற்றிக்கொண்டார்.  எந்தச் சூழ்நிலையிலும்  தேவன் தன்னோடு இருப்பதை அவர்  நம்பினார். எனவேதான்  கூறுகின்றார்,"நான் மரண இருளின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே நடந்தாலும்பொல்லாப்புக்குப் பயப்படேன்; தேவரீர் என்னோடேகூட  இருக்கிறீர்; உமது  கோலும் உமது தடியும் என்னைத் தேற்றும்". (  சங்கீதம் 23 : 4 ) அவர் அறிக்கையிட்டதுபோல தேவனது கோலும்  கைத்தடியுமான வார்த்தைகள்  அவரைத் தேற்றின.

நமது தேவன் இல்லாதவர்களை இருக்கின்றதாய்  மாற்றுகின்றவர், ஒன்றுமில்லாமையிலிருந்து இந்த  அண்டசராசரங்களைப் படைத்தவர் அவர். தேவனது  வார்த்தையால் அனைத்தும் அசைகின்றன. அவருக்குள் நாம்  உயிர்வாழ்கின்றோம். எனவே எந்த இக்கட்டுவந்தாலும் தேவனை உறுதியாகப்பற்றிக்கொண்டு வாழ்வோம். 

தற்கொலை எனும் குறுகிய அவசர வழி நமது பிரச்னைகளுக்குத்  தீர்வல்ல என்பதை சோர்ந்துபோயிருக்கும் நமது சகோதரர்களுக்கு உணர்த்துவோம். கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆறுதலாளிக்கும் வார்த்தைகளால் அவர்களுக்குத் திடனாளிப்போம். அப்போது அவர்கள் ஒருநாள், "நான் ஒருபோதும் உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளை மறக்கமாட்டேன்; அவைகளால் நீர் என்னை உயிர்ப்பித்தீர்". (  சங்கீதம் 119 : 93 )  என்று அவர்களும் பிறருக்குத் தேவனைக்குறித்துச்   சாட்சிக்  கூறுவார்கள்.

'AATHAVAN' 📖✝ BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,131   💚 March 15, 2024 💚 Friday 💚

"Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction." (Psalms 119:92)

About 8,00,000 people commit suicide worldwide every year, of which 1,35,000 (17%) are residents of India. Just think, India's population is 17.5% of the world's population. But, in our country, 17% of the world's suicides occur. Statistics show that between 1987 and 2007, the suicide rate was 10 per 100,000 people.

There can be a variety of reasons for these suicides. But all suicide deaths are due to mental exhaustion and a lack of hope. This means that there is no one to comfort these people.

Everyone has suffered. Some manage and live with them. Some can't bear it and resort to suicide. At one point in my life, I was without any hope for the future, without any job opportunities, and without knowing what to do. It was then that I came to know and accept Christ through a brother nearly 10 years younger than me. So, the only hope I had at that time was God's words.

Today's verse is one hundred percent applicable to my life. Yes, if the scriptures had not been my joy, I would have perished in my sorrow. I would not be writing these scripture meditations today.

Today, not only adults commit suicide, but suicides of young children are also common. The list of reasons for children's suicide is long: suicide due to low marks in the exam, suicide about fear of the exam, suicide due to not being able to study the desired course, suicide because they do not have a bike, cell phone, etc. as other students have.

Debt problems, love failures, and unemployment are the leading causes of adult suicide. Therefore, we should inculcate the scriptures in our children's minds at an early age. Those verses will not only confirm their faith but also help them live a godly life.

Beloved, God's words do not lie. If we put ourselves in God's hands, He will surely protect us. There is a verse in the Bible that can provide comfort in any situation of suffering. People who do not find such comforting verses in their lives commit suicide.

David experienced many hardships in his life. A situation where his life might be hunted by Saul. Many times, Saul came close to killing David. But David clung to God completely. He believed that God was with him in any situation. That is why he says,
"Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me." (Psalms 23:4) As he reported, God's rod and staff words pleased him.

Our God is the one who makes the non-existent into being, the one who created these universes out of nothingness. All things move by the word of God. In Him we live. So, let's live with a firm hold on God, no matter what comes.

Let us make our tired brothers realise that the short cut of suicide is not the solution to problems. Let us comfort them with the comforting words of Christ. Then one day they will say, "I will never forget thy precepts, for with them thou hast quickened me." (Psalms 119:93) They will also testify to others about God.

நாம் தேவ சாயலில் படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம் / WE ARE CREATED IN GOD'S IMAGE

 'ஆதவன்' 📖✝ வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,130     💚 மார்ச் 14, 2024 💚 வியாழக்கிழமை 💚

 

"அவர்கள் ஓரேபிலே ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையுண்டாக்கி, வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட விக்கிரகத்தை நமஸ்கரித்தார்கள். தங்கள் மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்." ( சங்கீதம் 106 : 19, 20 )

நாம் இன்று மனிதர்களாக அழகான உருவத்தில்  இருப்பதற்குக் காரணம் தேவன் நம்மைத் தனதுச்  சாயலாகப் படைத்ததனால்தான். நாம் காணும் இந்த மனித சாயல்தான் நம்மைப் படைத்த தேவனது சாயல். தேவன் ஒரு குரங்குபோலவோ யானையைப்போலவோ மாட்டைப்போலவோ இருந்திருப்பாரானால் நாமும் அப்படியே பிறந்திருப்போம். 

"தேவன் தம்முடைய சாயலாக மனுஷனைச் சிருஷ்டித்தார், அவனைத் தேவசாயலாகவே சிருஷ்டித்தார்; ஆணும் பெண்ணுமாக அவர்களைச் சிருஷ்டித்தார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 1 : 27 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். எனவே இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழும் ஆணும் பெண்ணும் தேவனது சாயலைப் பெற்றுள்ளோம் என்பது உண்மை. 

அன்று எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளிவந்து கானானை நோக்கி பயணம்செய்த இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் வழியில் கன்றுக்குட்டியின் உருவத்தைச்  செய்து "எங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து மீட்டுக் கொண்டுவந்த தேவன் நீர்தான்" என்று அதனை வழிபட்டார்கள்.  ஆரோன் அவர்களை அப்படி அழிவுக்கு நேராக நடத்தினான். 

இதனையே இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது, "தங்கள் மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்." ( சங்கீதம் 106 : 20 ) அதாவது தேவன்  தனது சாயலாக மனிதர்களைப் படைத்தார், அவர்களோ அந்த மகிமையான உருவத்தைக் கெடுத்து புல்லைத் தின்னும் மாட்டுக்கு ஒப்பாக மாற்றினார்கள். மாட்டின் குணமுள்ளவர்களாக மாறிப்போனார்கள்.

தேவன் அருவருக்கும் முக்கியமான இரு காரியங்கள் சிலை வழிபாடு மற்றும் விபச்சாரம். புதிய ஏற்பாட்டின்படி சிலை வழிபாடு என்பது சிலைகளைச் செய்து வணங்குவது மட்டுமல்ல மாறாக பொருளாசையும் சிலைவழிபாடுதான். "விபசாரக்காரனாவது, அசுத்தனாவது, விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரனாகிய பொருளாசைக்காரனாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யமாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே சுதந்தரமடைவதில்லையென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே." ( எபேசியர் 5 : 5 ) என்கின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர். 

இன்று நமது நாட்டில் பெரும்பாலான பாவச் செயல்களுக்குக் காரணம் சிலைவழிபாடு தான். "தங்கள் மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்" என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி மாட்டின் குணங்களுள்ள மனிதர்களாக மக்கள் மாறிப்போனார்கள்.  அன்பானவர்களே, வேத வசனங்கள் தேவ வார்த்தைகள். எனவே அவை ஒருபோதும் தவறுவதில்லை. மாட்டை ஆராதித்து வணங்கும் மனிதர்கள் தேவ குணத்தை அடைவார்கள் என்று நாம் எதிர்பார்க்கமுடியாது. ஆனால் அவர்கள் மாறவேண்டும் தேவ சாயலை அடையவேண்டும் என்பதே தேவ சித்தம். 

எனவேதான் நாட்டில் நடக்கும் அவலங்களைத் தேவன் பொறுமையாகப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார்.  "தாமதிக்கிறார் என்று சிலர் எண்ணுகிறபடி, கர்த்தர் தமது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தைக்குறித்துத் தாமதமாயிராமல்; ஒருவரும் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் எல்லாரும் மனந்திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று விரும்பி, நம்மேல் நீடிய பொறுமையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்." ( 2 பேதுரு 3 : 9 ) என்கின்றார் பேதுரு அப்போஸ்தலர். 

இன்றைய வசனத்தின்படி பண வெறியர்களாக நாம் வாழ்வோமானால் பணத்தை ஆராதித்து நமது மகிமையை வெற்றுத் தாள்போல மாற்றுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள். அல்லது தங்க நகைபோலவோ அடுக்குமாடி கட்டிடங்களாகவோ, வீட்டு மனைகளாகவோ நம்மை மாற்றுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள். அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் நம்மைத் தனது சாயலாகவே இருக்கும்படி அழைகின்றார்.  

புல்லைத் தின்கின்ற மாட்டின் சாயலாக தங்கள் மகிமையினை மாற்றிய இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களைத் தேவன் அழித்து ஒழித்தார். அவர்களால் பரம கானானுக்குள் நுழைய முடியவில்லை. எனவே, நமக்கு இது ஒரு எச்சரிப்பாகும். தேவனையே சார்ந்து அவரது சாயலை அடைந்திட முயலுவோம். ஆவியோடும் உண்மையோடும் அவரை ஆராதித்து மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவங்களைப்  பெறுவோம்.

"They made a calf in Horeb and worshipped the molten image. Thus, they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eats grass." (Psalms 106:19, 20)

The reason we are human beings and in the beautiful image we are today is because God created us in His image. This human image that we see is the image of God, who created us. If God had been like a monkey, an elephant, or a cow, we would have been born like that.

"So God created man in his own image; in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27), we read. So, it is true that men and women living in this world have received the image of God.

On that day, the people of Israel who came out of Egypt and travelled to Canaan made an image of a calf and worshipped it, saying, "You are the God who brought us out of Egypt." Aaron led them to this destruction.

This is what today's verse says: "They changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eats grass." That is, God created men in his own image, but they corrupted that glorious image and changed it to a cow that eats grass. They became like cattle.

Idolatry and fornication are two things that are abominations to God. According to the New Testament, idolatry is not just making and worshipping idols but also materialistic desire. "For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God." (Ephesians 5:5), says the apostle Paul.

Idolatry is the cause of most of the sins in our country today. The people became men with the qualities of the cow, as it is said, "They changed their glory into the likeness of a cow that eats grass." Beloved, God's words never fail. We cannot expect that people who worship cows will attain the quality of God. But it is God's will that they should change and attain God's likeness.

That is why God is patiently watching the calamities happening in the country. "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9) says the apostle Peter.

According to today's verse, if we live as money fanatics, it means that we worship money and turn our glory into a blank sheet of paper. Or it means we transform ourselves into gold jewellery, apartment buildings, or houses. Beloved, God calls us to conform to His image.

God destroyed the people of Israel, who changed their glory to the likeness of a cow that eats grass. So, they were not able to enter Canaan. So, this is a warning for us. Let us depend on God and try to attain His image. Let us worship Him in spirit and in truth and gain greater spiritual experiences.
