🦋 Meditation verse - ரோமர் 6: 13 / Romans 6:13

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1808                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 19.01.2026 திங்கள் 

"நீங்கள் உங்கள் அவயவங்களை அநீதியின் ஆயுதங்களாகப் பாவத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடாமல், உங்களை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து பிழைத்திருக்கிறவர்களாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, உங்கள் அவயவங்களை நீதிக்குரிய ஆயுதங்களாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுங்கள்." ( ரோமர் 6: 13)

நாம் தேவனை அறியாதிருந்த காலங்களில் பல்வேறு பாவங்களுக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருந்தோம். நமது உடலிலுள்ள ஒவ்வொரு உறுப்பினாலும் நாம் பாவம் செய்தோம். அதாவது நாம் அப்போது நமது உடலின் அவயவங்களை அநீதியின் ஆயுதங்களாகப் பாவத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வாழ்ந்துவந்தோம்.  

ஆனால் நமது பாவங்களை நாம் அப்போது உணரவில்லை. நாம் செய்த பல செயல்கள் பாவம் என்று நமக்குத் தெரியவுமில்லை. காரணம், நாம் பாவத்துக்கு முற்றிலும் அடிமைகளாக இருந்தோம். மதுவுக்கு அடிமையான மனிதன் சுய உணர்வின்றி மதுபோதையில் உளறிக்கொண்டிருப்பான். ஆனால், நம்மிடம் அவன், "நான் நல்ல ஸ்டெடியாக இருக்கிறேன்" என்றுதான் கூறுவான். அதுபோலவே நாமும் பாவம் நம்மை பலவீனப்படுத்தியுள்ளதை அறியாமல் வாழ்ந்துவந்தோம். 

"பாவமா? நான் என்ன பெரிய பாவம் செய்தேன்? நான் கொலைசெய்யவில்லை, திருடவில்லை, யாரையும் கற்பழிக்கவில்லை.." என்று நம்மை நாமே நியாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு வாழ்ந்தோம். பாவம் என்பது கொடூரமான செயல்களைச் செய்வது மட்டும்தான் என்று நாம் எண்ணிக்கொண்டு வாழ்ந்ததால் இப்படிக் கூறிக்கொண்டிருந்தோம். இன்றும் பலர் இதுபோலவே தங்களை நியாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு பாவ உணர்வின்றி வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தேவ சாயலாய் உருவாக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். அந்தத் தேவ சாயலை இழக்கக்கூடிய செயல்பாடுகள் அனைத்தும் பாவமே. பொய், பொறாமை, வஞ்சகம், அடுத்தவர் வளர்ச்சிகண்டு மனஎரிச்சல், அவதூறு, வேண்டாத பகையுணர்வு, இடத்துக்கேற்றபடி பேசுவது, உள்ளொன்றுவைத்து புறமொன்று பேசுவது ...போன்ற செயல்களும் பாவமே. 

நம்மை இந்தப் பாவ அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தி மீட்டார். அதாவது, நாம் பாவத்தால் ஆத்தும மரணம் அடைந்து நரகப்படுகுழிக்குள் சென்றுவிடக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக கிருபையினால் நம்மை மீட்டார். இதனையே, "பாவத்தின் சம்பளம் மரணம்; தேவனுடைய கிருபைவரமோ நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினால் உண்டான நித்தியஜீவன்." ( ரோமர் 6: 23) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

பாவத்தில் வாழும் மனிதன் இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கைக்குப்பின் வரவிருக்கும் நித்திய ஜீவனை  சுதந்தரிக்கமுடி யாது. எனவே, நம்மேல் உள்ள அன்பினால் கிறிஸ்து நம்மை பாவத்திலிருந்து மீட்டார். கிறிஸ்துவால் மீட்கப்பட்ட  நாம் இப்போது கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உரியவர்கள். எனவே, நாம் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து பிழைத்திருக்கிறவர்களாகவும்  நமது  அவயவங்களை நீதிக்குரிய ஆயுதங்களாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தவர்களாகவும் வாழவேண்டும் என்று அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர். 

நாம் பெரிய கடன்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, அந்தக் கடனிலிருந்து விடுபட வழியின்றி சொந்த வீடு, மனைகளையே விற்பனை செய்யக்கூடிய நிலை ஏற்படும்போது ஒருவர் நமது அனைத்துக் கடன்களையும் எந்த எதிர்பார்ப்புமின்றி செலுத்தித் தீர்ப்பாரென்றால் நாம் அவருக்கு எத்தகைய நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாக இருப்போமென்று எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள்! இப்படியே நமது பாவங்களை மன்னித்த  அவருக்கு நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாக நாம் வாழவேண்டும்! 

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மிடம் எத்தனை பெரிய பாவம் இருந்தாலும் அதனைத் தேவனுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி தயக்கமின்றி அவரிடம் திரும்பிவருவோம். "சீர்கெட்ட பிள்ளைகளே, திரும்புங்கள்; உங்கள் சீர்கேடுகளைக் குணமாக்குவேன் என்றார். இதோ, உம்மிடத்தில் வருகிறோம்; நீரே எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்." ( எரேமியா 3: 22) என்கிறார் ஏசாயா தீர்க்கத்தரிசி. அவர் கூறுவதுபோல "இதோ, உம்மிடத்தில் வருகிறோம்; நீரே எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்." என்று கூறி  அவரிடம் திரும்பி, நமது அவயவங்களை  நமக்காக மரித்து உயிர்த்தெழுந்த கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வாழ்வோம். நமது அவயவங்கள் நீதிக்குரிய ஆயுதங்களாக மாறட்டும்.

📖 Bible Meditation No. 1808
🔆 AATHAVAN – Monday, 19.01.2026

“And do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.” (Romans 6:13)

In the days when we did not know God, we were enslaved to various sins. With every part of our body, we lived in sin. In other words, we continually presented the members of our body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness.

Yet, at that time, we did not even realize that we were sinning. Many of our actions did not seem sinful to us at all, because we were completely enslaved to sin. A man addicted to alcohol, in a state of intoxication, speaks senselessly without self-awareness; but if you ask him, he will confidently say, “I am perfectly steady.” In the same way, we lived without realizing how much sin had weakened us.

We justified ourselves saying, “Sin? What great sin have I committed? I have not murdered anyone, I have not stolen, I have not raped anyone…” We assumed that sin meant only committing horrific crimes, and so we lived without a sense of guilt. Even today, many people continue to justify themselves in this way and live without an awareness of sin.

Yes, beloved, we are created in the image of God. Any action that causes us to lose that divine image is sin. Lies, jealousy, deceit, resentment at the growth of others, slander, unnecessary hostility, speaking opportunistically, saying one thing outwardly while meaning another inwardly—these too are sins.

The Lord Jesus Christ redeemed us from this bondage of sin by shedding His blood. By His grace, He rescued us so that we would not die spiritually because of sin and fall into eternal destruction. This is why Scripture says:

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

A person who lives in sin cannot inherit the eternal life that awaits after this earthly life. Therefore, out of His great love for us, Christ redeemed us from sin. Having been redeemed by Christ, we now belong to Christ. Hence, the Apostle Paul exhorts us to live as those who are alive from the dead and to present the members of our body to God as instruments of righteousness.

Imagine being burdened by a huge debt, to the point of having no option but to sell your own house and property—and then someone comes and clears all your debts completely, without expecting anything in return. How grateful would you be to such a person! In the same way, we must live with gratitude toward the One who has forgiven all our sins.

Therefore, beloved, no matter how great our sins may be, let us confess them to God and return to Him without hesitation.

“Return, O faithless sons,” declares the Lord; “I will heal your faithlessness.” “Behold, we come to You, for You are the Lord our God.” (Jeremiah 3:22)

As the prophet declares, let us say, “Behold, we come to You; for You are the Lord our God.” Let us turn back to Him and present our bodies to Christ who died and rose again for us. May our members become instruments of righteousness.

🦋 Meditation verse - ரோமர் 5: 3, 4 / Romans 5:3–4

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1807                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 18.01.2026 ஞாயிறு          

"அதுமாத்திரமல்ல, உபத்திரவம் பொறுமையையும், பொறுமை பரீட்சையையும், பரீட்சை நம்பிக்கையையும் உண்டாக்குகிறதென்று நாங்கள் அறிந்து, உபத்திரவங்களிலேயும் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறோம்". ( ரோமர் 5: 3, 4)

நான் PUC படிக்கும்போது ஒரு ஆங்கிலத் துணைப்பாடநூல் பாடமாக இருந்தது. அதில் ஒரு சிறுகதை, ஒரு மனிதன் துன்பங்களைச் சிரமத்துடன் கடந்துசெல்வதும் பல ஆண்டுகளுக்குப்பின் அந்தத் துன்பங்களை எண்ணிப்பார்த்து அவன், "இதற்கா நாம் அன்று இவ்வளவு வேதனை அடைந்தோம்?" என எண்ணி  மகிழ்ச்சியடைவதும் குறிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.  ஆம், இப்போது துன்பமாகக் காணப்படும் பல காரியங்கள் பிற்பாடு எண்ணிப்பார்க்கும்போது, நமக்கு மிகப்பெரிய உற்சாகத்தைக்கொடுக்கும். 

படிக்கின்ற மாணவர்களுக்குத் தேர்வு பெரிய உபத்திரவம்போலவே இருக்கும். ஆனால் மேல்நிலைக்குச் செல்ல அந்தத் தேர்வை அவர்கள் கடந்துசெல்லவேண்டியது அவசியமாகும். இது போலவே நமது அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையில் வரும் உபத்திரவங்கள் நமக்குத் தேவன் நடத்துகின்ற தேர்வு போன்றதாகும். இந்த உபத்திரவங்கள் வழியாகத் தேவன் நம்மைச் சோதித்துத் தகுதிப்படுத்துகின்றார். இதனை அறிந்திருந்த யோபு, "ஆனாலும் நான் போகும் வழியை அவர் அறிவார்; அவர் என்னைச் சோதித்தபின் நான் பொன்னாக  விளங்குவேன்." (யோபு 23:10)  என்று கூறுவதை நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

தேவன் மனிதர்களை உபத்திரவங்களின் மத்தியிலிருந்துதான் தேர்வு செய்கின்றார். "இதோ, உன்னைப் புடமிட்டேன்; ஆனாலும் வெள்ளியைப்போலல்ல, உபத்திரவத்தின் குகையிலே உன்னைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்." (ஏசாயா 48:10) எப்படி நாம் உபத்திரவங்களை மேற்கொள்ளுகின்றோம் என்பதனை அவர் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "உபத்திரவம் பொறுமையையும், பொறுமை பரீட்சையையும், பரீட்சை நம்பிக்கையையும் உண்டாக்குகிறதென்று நாங்கள் அறிந்து, உபத்திரவங்களிலேயும் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறோம்" என்கின்றார். அதாவது உபத்திரவம் நமக்குப் பொறுமையாக இருக்கவும் தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாக இருக்கவும் வழி செய்கின்றது. இப்படி தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கைகொள்ள உபத்திரவம் காரணமாக இருப்பதால் உபத்திரவங்களில் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகின்றோம் என்கிறார் பவுல். 

உபத்திரவங்களின்போது நாம் பொறுமையை எப்படிக் காத்துக்கொள்கின்றோம் என்பதில் நமது உண்மையினை தேவன் கண்டறிகின்றார். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபு,  "சோதனையைச் சகிக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்; அவன் உத்தமனென்று விளங்கினபின்பு கர்த்தர் தம்மிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறவர்களுக்கு வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணின ஜீவகிரீடத்தைப் பெறுவான்." (யாக்கோபு 1:12) என்கின்றார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, உலகத்தில் நமக்கு உபத்திரவம் உண்டு. ஆனால் அதனை நாம் எத்தகைய பொறுமையோடு காத்துக்கொள்கின்றோம் என்பதனையே தேவன் எடைபோட்டு நம்மை மேன்மைப்படுத்துகின்றார். தேவன் இரக்கமும் உருக்கமும் உள்ளவராக இருக்கின்றார். அவர் நம்மை எபோதும் உபத்திரவத்திலேயே வைத்துக் கொடுமைப்படுத்தமாட்டார்.  "இதோ, பொறுமையாய் இருக்கிறவர்களைப் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்கிறோமே! யோபின்  பொறுமையைக்குறித்துக் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்;  கர்த்தருடைய செயலின் முடிவையும் கண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்;   கர்த்தர் மிகுந்த உருக்கமும் இரக்கமும் உள்ளவராக இருக்கிறாரே" (யாக்கோபு 5:11)

எனவே, நமது வாழ்வில் உபத்திரவங்கள் ஏற்படும்போது அவை தேவன் நமக்கு வைத்திருக்கும் தேர்வு என எண்ணி விசுவாசத்தோடு அந்த உபத்திரவங்களைக்  கடந்துசெல்வோம். அதற்கான பெலனைத் தேவன் நமக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி அனுதினமும் ஜெபிப்போம்.

🔆 AATHAVAN – Sunday | 18.01.2026

“And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.” (Romans 5:3–4)

When I was studying PUC, one of our English supplementary lessons included a short story. It described a man who passed through great suffering with much difficulty. Many years later, when he reflected on those hardships, he joyfully remarked, “Was it really for this that we suffered so much back then?” Yes, many things that appear painful in the present later become a great source of encouragement when we look back on them.

For students, examinations often seem like severe trials. Yet, to move to the next level, they must necessarily pass through those examinations. In the same way, the tribulations that come in our daily lives are like God’s examinations for us. Through these tribulations, God tests us and makes us qualified. Knowing this, Job said:

“But He knows the way I take; When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” (Job 23:10)

God chooses people from the midst of tribulations.

“Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.” (Isaiah 48:10)

He carefully observes how we endure our tribulations.

In today’s meditation verse, the Apostle Paul says, “We also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.” In other words, tribulation teaches us patience and leads us to place our hope firmly in God. Because tribulation becomes the cause for us to trust in God, Paul says that we rejoice even in tribulations.

During times of suffering, God discerns our sincerity by seeing how we preserve patience. That is why the Apostle James says:

“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)

Yes, beloved, in this world we do have tribulations. But God weighs and honors us based on the kind of patience with which we endure them. God is compassionate and merciful. He will not keep us in affliction forever to torment us.

“We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.” (James 5:11)

Therefore, when tribulations arise in our lives, let us consider them as examinations appointed by God and pass through them with faith. Let us pray daily that God may grant us the strength and reward for enduring them.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 16: 32 / John 16:32

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1806                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 17.01.2026 சனி         

"இதோ, நீங்கள் சிதறுண்டு, அவனவன் தன்தன் இடத்துக்குப் போய், என்னைத் தனியே விட்டுவிடுங்காலம் வரும்; அது இப்பொழுது வந்திருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் நான் தனித்திரேன், பிதா என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார்." ( யோவான் 16: 32)

தனித்துவிடப்படுதல் என்பது மிகக்கொடுமையான ஒரு வாழ்க்கை அனுபவம். அதுவும் நாம் முழுவதும் நம்பியிருக்கும் நமது உறவினர்கள், நண்பர்கள், எப்போதும் நம்மோடு இருப்பார்கள் என நாம் நம்பியிருந்தவர்கள் நமக்குத் துன்பமான சூழ்நிலை ஏற்படும்போது நம்மைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்துசெல்வதை நம்மால் பொறுத்துக்கொள்ளமுடியாது.   சில குடும்பங்களில் துன்பவேளைகளில் கணவன் மனைவிகளுக்குள்ளே பிரிவினை வருவதுண்டு. பல குடும்பங்களில் வயதான பெற்றோர் இப்படித் தனித்து விடப்படுகின்றனர். 

யோபுவோடு சேர்ந்து அனைத்துச் செல்வங்களையும் அனுபவித்த யோபுவின் மனைவி யோபுவின் வாழ்வில் துன்பம் வந்தபோது, "அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீர் இன்னும் உம்முடைய உத்தமத்தில் உறுதியாய் நிற்கிறீரோ? தேவனைத் தூஷித்து ஜீவனை விடும் என்றாள்". (யோபு 2:9) அதாவது,  "இன்னும் நீ ஏன் வாழவேண்டும்? செத்துத் தொலை" என்று கூறுவதுபோலக் கூறுகின்றாள்.  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மோடு மகிழ்ச்சியான காலங்களில் உடனிருப்பவர்களெல்லாம் துன்பகாலத்திலும் நம்மோடு இருப்பார்கள் என்று கூறமுடியாது. இதுபோலவே ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வாழ்விலும் நடந்தது. அவரோடு உண்டு உறங்கிய அவரது சீடர்கள் துன்பவேளையில் அவரைவிட்டு ஆளுக்கொருபக்கமாக ஓடிவிட்டார்கள். இதனை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து முன்னமேயே அறிந்திருந்தார். எனவே, "நீங்கள் சிதறுண்டு, அவனவன் தன்தன் இடத்துக்குப் போய், என்னைத் தனியே விட்டுவிடுங்காலம் வரும்" என்று தீர்க்கத்தரிசனமாகக் கூறுகின்றார், 

ஆனால், ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து எப்போதும் பிதாவோடுள்ள உறவை விட்டுவிடாதிருந்தார். பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அவரோடுகூடவே இருந்தார். எனவேதான் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "ஆனாலும் நான் தனித்திரேன், பிதா என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார்." இந்தப் பிதாவின் உடனிருப்புதான் அவருக்குப் பாடுகளைத் தங்கிச்செல்ல பெலன்கொடுத்தது. 

இன்று நமது வாழ்க்கைக்கு இது ஒரு பாடமாகும். இன்று நாம் ஒருவேளை நல்ல நிலையில் இருக்கலாம். எனவே நம்மைச் சுற்றிலும் நண்பர்களும், உறவினர்களும் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால், அதுவே நிரந்தரமல்ல. தனித்துவிடப்படும் சூழல் எல்லோருக்கும் ஏதாவதொருகாலத்தில் ஏற்படும். ஒன்றாக ஒற்றுமையாக வாழும் கணவன் மனைவிகள் அவர்களில் ஒருவர் மரணமடையும்போது தனித்துவிடப்படுகின்றனர். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் மட்டுமே நம்மைத்  தனித்து விட்டுவிடாமல் கூடவே இருப்பவர். இன்பமோ, துன்பமோ அவர் நம்மோடு கூடவே இருக்கின்றார். ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு பிதாவின் ஐக்கியத்தில் இருந்ததால் தனித்துவிடப்படவில்லை. நாமும் அதுபோல தேவ உறவை வலுப்படுத்தி அவரைச்  சார்ந்துகொள்வோம். அப்போது உலக மனிதர்களால் தனித்துவிடப்படும் சூழ்நிலையிலும் நாம், "நான் தனித்திரேன், ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார்" என்று கூறி தைரியமாக வாழமுடியும்.

🔆 AATHAVAN – Saturday, 17.01.2026

“Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.” (John 16:32)

Being left alone is one of the most painful experiences in life. It becomes even more unbearable when those whom we deeply trust—our relatives, friends, and those we believed would always stand with us—walk away from us in times of suffering. In some families, during seasons of hardship, separation arises even between husband and wife. In many households, aged parents are left to live in loneliness.

Job’s wife, who once enjoyed all the riches along with Job, spoke harshly when suffering entered his life. She said to him,

“Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9)

In other words, it was as if she was saying, “Why should you still live? Just give up and die.”

Yes, beloved, we cannot say that everyone who stays with us during joyful times will also remain with us during times of pain. The same happened in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ. The disciples who ate and slept with Him ran away in different directions when trouble came. Jesus Christ knew this beforehand. That is why He prophetically said,

“You will be scattered, each to his own home, and leave Me alone.”

However, our Lord Jesus Christ never abandoned His relationship with the Father. God the Father was always with Him. Therefore, He confidently declared,

“Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.” It was this abiding presence of the Father that gave Him the strength to endure suffering.

Today, this stands as a powerful lesson for our lives. At present, we may be in a good situation, surrounded by friends and relatives. But that will not last forever. A season of loneliness comes to everyone at some point in life. Even husbands and wives who live in unity are separated by loneliness when one of them passes away.

Yes, beloved, God alone is the One who never leaves us abandoned. Whether in joy or in sorrow, He remains with us. Because the Lord Jesus lived in fellowship with the Father, He was never truly alone. In the same way, let us strengthen our relationship with God and depend on Him. Then, even in situations where we are forsaken by people, we will be able to live courageously, declaring:

“I am not alone; the Lord Jesus Christ is with me.”

🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 84: 3 / Psalm 84:3

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1805                                  🔆 ஆதவன் 16.01.2026 வெள்ளி        

"என் ராஜாவும் என் தேவனுமாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய பீடங்களண்டையில் அடைக்கலான் குருவிக்கு வீடும், தகைவிலான் குருவிக்குத் தன் குஞ்சுகளை வைக்கும் கூடும் கிடைத்ததே." ( சங்கீதம் 84: 3)

சாதாரண மனிதர்கள் ஒரு காரியத்தைப் பார்க்கும் பார்வைக்கும் கவிஞர்களும் கலைஞர்களும் பார்க்கும் பார்வைக்கும் வித்தியாசம் உண்டு. கவிஞர்கள் கலைநயத்தோடு ஒரு காரியத்தை மேலான சம்பவங்களுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு உவமையாகக் கவிப் பாடுவார்கள். அத்தகைய கலைநயத்தோடு சங்கீத ஆசிரியர் கூறும் வார்த்தைகள்தான் இன்றைய தியான வசனம். 

நாம் பொதுவாக ஆலயங்களில் சிட்டுக்குருவிகள், அடைக்கலான் குருவிகள் மற்றும் புறாக்கள் கூடுகட்டி வாழ்வதைப் பார்க்கலாம். அவை அப்படி ஆலயங்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கக் காரணம் ஆலயமாடங்களில் மனிதர்கள் அதிகமாகச் செல்வது கிடையாது. எனவே அவைகளுக்கு அங்கு கூடுகட்டி குஞ்சுகளை வளர்ப்பது மிகுந்த பாதுகாப்பு. இன்றும்கூட நாம் பல ஆலயங்களில் குருவிகள், புறாக்கள் வாழ்வதைக் காணலாம். 

இப்படி ஆலயத்தில் தங்கியிருக்கும் இந்தக் குருவிகளைப் பார்த்த சங்கீத ஆசிரியர், "என் ராஜாவும் என் தேவனுமாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய பீடங்களண்டையில் அடைக்கலான் குருவிக்கு வீடும், தகைவிலான் குருவிக்குத் தன் குஞ்சுகளை வைக்கும் கூடும் கிடைத்ததே. உம்முடைய வீட்டில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் உம்மைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டிருப்பார்கள். (சங்கீதம் 84: 3, 4) என்று பாடுகின்றார். 

அதாவது, இயற்கையான இந்த நிகழ்வை மனிதர்களது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையோடு ஒப்பிட்டு, மனிதர்கள் தேவனைச் சார்ந்து வாழவேண்டும், தேவனை எப்போதும் துதிக்கவேண்டும் என்று கூறுகின்றார். குருவிகள் எப்போதும் "கீச் கீச்" என்று குரலெழுப்பிக்கொண்டே இருக்கும். அதனைத் தேவனைத் துதிப்பதற்கு அவர் ஒப்பிட்டு, "அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் உம்மைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்" என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அடைக்கலான் குருவி, தகைவிலான் குருவி போன்றவை தேவ சமூகத்தில் இருப்பதால் அவைகளுக்குப் பாதுகாப்பு இருக்கின்றது. மட்டுமல்ல, அவை எப்போதும் தேவனைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கின்றன அதுபோல நாம் வாழ்வோமானால் நமக்கும் வாழ்வில் பாதுகாப்பு உண்டு என்பதுதான் சங்கீத ஆசிரியர் கூறவரும் கருத்து. 

இப்படிக் கூறுவதால் நாமும் எப்போதும் ஆலயங்களில் சென்று தங்கியிருக்கவேண்டும் என்று பொருளல்ல; மாறாக, இன்று நாமே ஆலயமாக இருக்கின்றோம். நமது உள்ளமாகிய ஆலயத்தில் நாம் தேவனை நிறுத்தி அவரையே எப்போதும் சார்ந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும். மட்டுமல்ல, நன்மையான காரியங்களோ தீமையான காரியங்களோ எது நடந்தாலும் தேவனைத் துதிக்கும் துதி எப்போதும் நமது நாவில் இருக்கவேண்டும்.  தொழுமரத்தில் கால்கள் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த நிலையிலும்,  "நடுராத்திரியிலே பவுலும் சீலாவும் ஜெபம்பண்ணி, தேவனைத் துதித்துப் பாடினார்கள்; காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அதைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்". (அப்போஸ்தலர் 16:25) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். தேவன் அவர்களை அற்புதமாக விடுவித்தார்.  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, குருவிகள் மூலம் நமக்கு வேதம் காட்டும் இந்த ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவத்தை நமது வாழ்வாக்குவோம். நமது உள்ளமாகிய ஆலயத்தில் தேவனை உயர்த்திவைத்து எப்போதும் அவருக்குத் துதிசெலுத்தி வாழ்வோம். சங்கீத ஆசிரியரைப்போல இயற்கையில் காணும் சம்பவங்களை ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையோடு சங்கீத ஆசிரியரைப்போல நாமும் ஒப்பிட்டுப்பார்த்துத் தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்துவோம்.

“Within the Seeds” 🌳

📖 Bible Meditation No. 1805
🔆 AATHAVAN – Friday, 16.01.2026

“O LORD of armies, my King and my God, Even the bird has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may put her young— At Your altars.” (Psalm 84:3)

There is a clear difference between the way ordinary people view something and the way poets and artists perceive it. Poets, with artistic sensitivity, compare an event with deeper realities and express it through beautiful imagery. Today’s meditation verse is an example of such poetic insight expressed by the psalmist.

We often see sparrows, swallows, and pigeons building their nests and living in temple premises. One reason they choose temples is that people do not frequently access the rooftops and high structures, making these places safe for nesting and raising their young. Even today, in many temples, we can still see sparrows and pigeons living peacefully.

Observing these birds dwelling in the temple, the psalmist sings:

“Even the bird has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may put her young— At Your altars, O LORD of armies, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They are ever praising You.” (Psalm 84:3–4)

Through this natural scene, the psalmist draws a spiritual parallel to human life. He teaches that people should depend on God and continually praise Him. Sparrows are always chirping; the psalmist likens this constant sound to unceasing praise and says, “They are ever praising You.”

Because the sparrow and the swallow remain within God’s dwelling place, they enjoy safety and protection. In the same way, the psalmist conveys that if we live in God’s presence and continually praise Him, we too will experience security in our lives.

This does not mean that we must physically stay in temples at all times. Rather, today we ourselves are the temple. In the temple of our hearts, we must enthrone God, depend entirely on Him, and remain rooted in His presence. Whether good or bad circumstances arise, praise to God should always be on our lips.

Even when their feet were fastened in stocks, Scripture says: “But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.” (Acts 16:25) God delivered them miraculously.

Yes, beloved, let us make this spiritual truth—taught to us through sparrows—a living experience in our own lives. Let us exalt God in the temple of our hearts and continually offer Him praise. Like the psalmist, let us observe the events of nature, connect them with our spiritual life, and glorify God through them.

🦋 Meditation verse - எபேசியர் 4: 24 / Ephesians 4:24

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1804                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 15.01.2026 வியாழன்       

"மெய்யான நீதியிலும் பரிசுத்தத்திலும் தேவனுடைய சாயலாக சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்ட புதிய மனுஷனைத் தரித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்." ( எபேசியர் 4: 24)

நம்முடைய தேவன் பரிசுத்தர். அந்தப் பரிசுத்தர் தன்னைப்போலவே தான் படைத்த மனிதர்களும் மாறவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகின்றார். இந்த உலகத்தில்கூட நல்ல பதவியில் இருக்கும் தாய்தகப்பன்மார் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் தங்களைப்போல உயர்பதவி அடையவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புவதில்லையா? அதுபோலவே தேவனும் விரும்புகின்றார். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், "தேவனுடைய சாயலாக சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்ட புதிய மனுஷனைத் தரித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்." என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. காரணம், நாம் தேவ சாயலாக உருவாக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். ஆனால் உலக வாழ்க்கையில் பாவத்தில் விழுந்து நாம் தேவ சாயலை இழந்துவிட்டோம். ஆம், நமக்குள்ளிருக்கும் நமது பழைய மனிதன் தேவ சாயலை இழந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.  

"தேவன் தம்முடைய சாயலாக மனுஷனைச் சிருஷ்டித்தார், அவனைத் தேவசாயலாகவே சிருஷ்டித்தார்; ஆணும் பெண்ணுமாக அவர்களைச் சிருஷ்டித்தார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 1: 27)  என்று வேதாகமத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது, மனிதர்களை தேவன் தனது உருவத்திலும் தனது குணத்திலும் உண்டாக்கினார். ஆம், "தேவன்: நமது சாயலாகவும் நமது ரூபத்தின்படியேயும் மனுஷனை உண்டாக்குவோமாக" ( ஆதியாகமம் 1: 26) என்று தனக்குள் கூறி மனிதனை உண்டாக்கினார்.

ஆனால், மனிதனுக்குள் இருக்கும் இச்சை எனும் பாவம்தான் மனிதர்களை பாவத்துக்கு நேராக இழுத்து தேவ சாயலை இழக்கச் செய்கின்றது. எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "அந்தப்படி, முந்தின நடக்கைக்குரிய மோசம்போக்கும் இச்சைகளாலே கெட்டுப்போகிற பழைய மனுஷனை நீங்கள் களைந்துபோட்டு, உங்கள் உள்ளத்திலே புதிதான ஆவியுள்ளவர்களாகி......" ( எபேசியர் 4: 22, 23) என்று கூறுகின்றார். அதாவது, இச்சை எனும் பாவத்தால் கெட்டுப்போன பழைய மனிதனை விட்டுவிட்டு உள்ளத்தில் புதிய ஆவியுள்ள புதிய மனிதனாக நாம் மாறிடவேண்டும். 

மேலும், "மெய்யான நீதியிலும் பரிசுத்தத்திலும்" என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அப்படியானால் பொய்யான நீதியும் உலகினில் இருக்கின்றது என்று பொருள். அது மனிதர்கள் கூறும் நீதி. மனிதர்களது நீதிகள்  அழுக்கான கந்தை போன்றவை. "நாங்கள் அனைவரும் தீட்டானவர்கள்போல இருக்கிறோம்; எங்களுடைய நீதிகளெல்லாம் அழுக்கான கந்தைபோல இருக்கிறது, நாங்கள் அனைவரும் இலைகளைப்போல் உதிருகிறோம்; எங்கள் அக்கிரமங்கள் காற்றைப்போல் எங்களை அடித்துக்கொண்டுபோகிறது." (ஏசாயா 64:6) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தேவ நீதியின்படி நடக்கவே அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். உலக நீதிநூல்கள் கூறும் நீதிகள் நல்லவைதான். ஆனால், ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசிக்கும்போது உண்டாகும் தேவ நீதியே நம்மை தேவனுக்குமுன் மேன்மையடையச்செய்யும். ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவால் நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு புதுபிறப்பாக நாம் மாறும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் தேவ நீதியைக் கன்டுகொள்ளமுடியும்.  

அழுக்கான கந்தைபோல இருக்கும் பொய்யான மனித நீதியைவிட்டு மெய்யான நீதியிலும் பரிசுத்தத்திலும் தேவனுடைய சாயலாக சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்ட புதிய மனுஷனைத் தரித்துக்கொள்ள இன்றைய தியான வசனம் அழைக்கின்றது. மெய்யான நீதியின்படி வாழ்ந்திட, முதல்படியாக ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து ஜெபிப்போம். அவரது தேவ ஆவியானவர் நம்மில் வரும்போது அந்த பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரே நம்மை மெய்யான தேவ நீதியில் நடத்திடமுடியும்.

“Within the Seeds” 🌳

📖 Bible Meditation No. 1804
🔆 AATHAVAN – Thursday, 15.01.2026

“Put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.” (Ephesians 4:24)

Our God is holy. That holy God desires the people He created to become holy like Himself. Even in this world, do not parents who hold good positions desire that their children should also rise to high positions like them? In the same way, God desires us to become like Him.

In today’s meditation verse we read, “Put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created…” The reason is clear: we were created in the image of God. However, through our worldly life and our fall into sin, we have lost that divine image. Yes, the “old self” within us has lost the likeness of God.

The Bible declares:

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

That is, God created human beings in His own image and character. Indeed, God said,

“Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness.” (Genesis 1:26)

But the sin of desire (lust) within human beings drags them toward sin and causes them to lose the image of God. That is why the Apostle Paul says:

“That, in reference to your former way of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your minds.” (Ephesians 4:22–23)

In other words, we must put away the old self that has been corrupted by sinful desires and become a new person with a renewed spirit within.

Furthermore, today’s meditation verse speaks of “righteousness and holiness of the truth.” This implies that there is also a false righteousness in the world. That is the righteousness defined by human beings. Human righteousness is like filthy rags. As we read:

“For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; and all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, carry us away.” (Isaiah 64:6)

Yes, beloved, we are called to walk according to God’s righteousness. The justice spoken of by the laws of the world may be good, but it is only the righteousness of God that comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that makes us acceptable before God. Only when our sins are forgiven through Jesus Christ and we are transformed by the new birth can we truly experience God’s righteousness.

Today’s meditation calls us to put off false human righteousness—which is like filthy rags—and to put on the new self, created in the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. In order to live according to true righteousness, let us first surrender ourselves completely to the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer. When His divine Spirit comes to dwell within us, the Holy Spirit Himself will lead us in the true righteousness of God.

🦋 Meditation verse - யாக்கோபு 4: 10 / James 4:10

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1803                                  🔆 ஆதவன் 14.01.2026 புதன்       

"கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் தாழ்மைப்படுங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவர் உங்களை உயர்த்துவார்." ( யாக்கோபு 4: 10)

கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் தாழ்மைப்படுதல் என்பதைப் பலரும் அவரது ஆலயத்தில் தாழ்மையுடன் நடந்துகொள்வதை மட்டுமே குறிப்பதாக எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். ஆலயங்களைக்  கடந்து செல்லும்போது வணங்குவது, ஆலயங்களில் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்குவது, ஆலய வளாகத்தினுள் தாழ்மையுடன் பேசுவது இவைகளையே கர்த்தருக்குமுன்பாகத் தாழ்மைப்படுத்தல் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். 

சாதாரண விசுவாசிகள் மட்டுமல்ல, பல கிறிஸ்தவ ஊழியர்களும் குருக்களும் இப்படியே இருக்கின்றனர். ஆலயத்தில் தாழ்மையைக்குறித்து அழகாகப்  பிரசங்கம் செய்வார்கள், தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்கள்போல நடிப்பார்கள். ஆனால், தனிப்பட்டமுறையில் அவர்களை நாம் அணுகும்போது  அரசாங்க அதிகாரிகள்போல நடந்துகொள்வார்கள். குருக்கள், ஆயர்கள் எனும் பொறுப்புக்கள் மந்திரிப்பதவி போன்றதல்ல, அது தேவனுக்குப் பணிசெய்ய தேவன் தந்துள்ள வாய்ப்பு என்பதனை இவர்கள் மறந்துபோயினர்.

இதற்குக் காரணம் பலரும் கர்த்தர் தங்களை உயர்த்துவதற்குப் பொறுமையாகக் காத்திருப்பதில்லை. தங்களைத் தாங்களே உயர்த்திக்கொள்ள விரும்பிச் செயல்படுகின்றனர். எனவேதான் அவர்கள் தாழ்மை எனும் குணத்தை இழந்தவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்.  

கர்த்தர் ஆலயத்தில் மட்டும் இருக்கவில்லை; அவர் எங்கும் நிறைந்துள்ளார். எனவே, எல்லா இடத்திலும், எல்லோரிடமும்  மனத்தாழ்மையுடன் நடந்துகொள்வதுதான் கர்த்தருக்குமுன் தாழ்மைப்படுத்தல் என்பதன் பொருள். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, பெருமையுள்ளவர்களுக்குத்  தேவன் எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார், தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்களிடம்தான் கிருபையாக இருக்கின்றார்.  

"அந்தப்படி, இளைஞரே, மூப்பருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். நீங்களெல்லாரும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, மனத்தாழ்மையை அணிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்; பெருமையுள்ளவர்களுக்கு தேவன் எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார், தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்களுக்கோ கிருபை அளிக்கிறார்." (1 பேதுரு 5:5) என்று அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு கூறவில்லையா? ஓடுகின்ற நீர் தாழ்ந்த இடங்களைத்தேடித்தான் பாய்ந்துசெல்லும். அதுபோல உள்ளத்தில் தாழ்ந்த குணமுள்ளவர்களிடம்தான் தேவ கிருபை பாய்ந்து வரும். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறும் சத்தியத்தை அன்னை மரியாள் நன்கு உணர்ந்திருந்தால் "தம்முடைய புயத்தினாலே பராக்கிரமஞ்செய்தார்; இருதய சிந்தையில் அகந்தையுள்ளவர்களைச் சிதறடித்தார். பலவான்களை ஆசனங்களிலிருந்து தள்ளி, தாழ்மையானவர்களை உயர்த்தினார்." ( லுூக்கா 1: 51, 52) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.

ஆதியில் அழகிய தேவதூதனாக விளங்கிய லூசிபர் அவனது அகந்தையினால் சாத்தானாக மாறினான். "அதிகாலையின் மகனாகிய விடிவெள்ளியே, நீ வானத்திலிருந்து விழுந்தாயே! ஜாதிகளை ஈனப்படுத்தினவனே, நீ தரையிலே விழ வெட்டப்பட்டாயே! நான் வானத்துக்கு ஏறுவேன், தேவனுடைய நட்சத்திரங்களுக்குமேலாக என் சிங்காசனத்தை உயர்த்துவேன்; வடபுறங்களிலுள்ள ஆராதனைக் கூட்டத்தின் பர்வதத்திலே வீற்றிருப்பேன் என்றும், நான் மேகங்களுக்கு மேலாக உன்னதங்களில் ஏறுவேன்; உன்னதமானவருக்கு ஒப்பாவேன் என்றும் நீ உன் இருதயத்தில் சொன்னாயே. ஆனாலும் நீ அகாதமான பாதாளத்திலே தள்ளுண்டுபோனாய்." (ஏசாயா 14:12-15) 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தாழ்மையாக இருக்கும்போதுதான் தேவன் நம்மை உயத்தமுடியும். "நான்" எனும் அகந்தைகொண்டு வாழ்வோமானால் அதுவே சாத்தான் விழுந்ததுபோல நமது அழிவுக்கான வித்தாக அமையும்.  "அழிவுக்கு  முன்னானது  அகந்தை;  விழுதலுக்கு  முன்னானது  மனமேட்டிமை".  (நீதிமொழிகள் 16;18) எனவே, மனத்தாழ்மையைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டு தேவனது ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம்.

“Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.” (James 4:10)

Many people think that humbling themselves before the Lord refers only to behaving reverently inside His temple. Bowing while passing by churches, falling prostrate in worship inside the sanctuary, or speaking softly within church premises—these alone are often considered as humility before God.

Not only ordinary believers, but even many Christian ministers and clergy fall into this pattern. They preach beautifully about humility from the pulpit and even act humble within the church. But when we approach them personally, they sometimes behave like government officials. Roles such as priests or bishops are not positions of political power and failed to recognize; they are opportunities given by God to serve Him.

The reason for this is that many are unwilling to wait patiently for the Lord to exalt them. Instead, they try to exalt themselves. As a result, they lose the virtue of humility.

The Lord is not present only in the temple; He is omnipresent. Therefore, walking in humility everywhere and toward everyone is the true meaning of humbling ourselves before the Lord. Yes, beloved, God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Did not the apostle Peter say:

“You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5)

Flowing water always seeks the low places. In the same way, God’s grace flows toward those whose hearts are humble.

Mary, the mother of our Lord, understood well the truth declared in today’s meditation verse. Therefore, she proclaimed:

“He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart. He has brought down rulers from their thrones, and has exalted those who were humble.” (Luke 1:51–52)

Lucifer, who was originally a glorious angel, became Satan because of his pride:

“How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ Nevertheless, you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit.” (Isaiah 14:12–15)

Yes, beloved, only when we walk in humility can God exalt us. If we live with the pride of “I,” it will become the seed of our destruction, just as it led to Satan’s fall.

“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.” (Proverbs 16:18)

Therefore, let us clothe ourselves with humility and receive the blessings of God.
