🦋 Meditation verse - ஏசாயா 19 : 22 / Isaiah 19:22

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1659                                           ஆதவன் 23.08.2025 சனி  

     

"கர்த்தர் எகிப்தியரை வாதையினால் அடிப்பார்; அடித்து குணமாக்குவார்; அவர்கள் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மனந்திரும்புவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டு, அவர்களைக் குணமாக்குவார்." ( ஏசாயா 19 : 22 )

ஏற்கெனவே நாம் பல "ஆதவன்" தியானங்களில் பார்த்தபடி, எகிப்து என்பது வேதாகம அடிப்படையில் பாவ அடிமைத்தனத்தைக் குறிக்கின்றது. எகிப்தியர் என்பதும்  எனவே எகிப்து நாட்டைச் சார்ந்தவர்களைக் குறிக்காமல், பாவத்துக்கு அடிமையாகி பாவ வாழ்க்கை வாழ்பவர்களைக் குறிக்கின்றது. இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்தில் பார்வோனுக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருந்தபோது மோசே அவர்களை அந்த அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து மீட்டு கானானை நோக்கி வழிநடத்தியதுபோல கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நம்மைப் பாவத்தின் அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து மீட்டுப்  பரம கானானை நோக்கி வழிநடத்துகின்றார். 

மனம்திரும்பிய வாழ்க்கை வாழாமல் தொடர்ந்து பாவத்துக்கு அடிமையாக எகிப்து வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வோமானால் தேவன் நம்மை வாதையினால் அடிப்பார் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அப்படி அவர் அடிக்கும்போது தங்களது பாவ வாழ்க்கையினை உணர்ந்து அவர்கள்  கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மனந்திரும்புவார்கள். அப்படி மனம்திரும்பும்போது அவர்கள் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டு, அவர்களைக் குணமாக்குவார் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதனையே எரேமியா புத்தகத்திலும் நாம், "கர்த்தாவே, என்னைத் தண்டியும்; ஆனாலும் நான் அவமாய்ப்போகாதபடிக்கு உம்முடைய கோபத்தினாலே அல்ல, மட்டாய்த் தண்டியும்." ( எரேமியா 10 : 24 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

எகிப்து வாழ்க்கை வாழும் மக்களை அவர் நேசிப்பதால் அவர்கள் எப்படியாவது மனம்திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகின்றார். அதனால் அவர்களைப் பல்வேறு தண்டனைகளால் தண்டிக்கின்றார். இது எப்படியென்றால் ஒரு தகப்பன் தான் அன்புசெய்யும் மகனைத் தண்டிப்பதுபோல என்று வேதம் குறிப்பிடுகின்றது. "கர்த்தர் எவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறாரோ அவனை அவர் சிட்சித்து, தாம் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிற எந்த மகனையும் தண்டிக்கிறார் என்று பிள்ளைகளுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறதுபோல உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிற புத்திமதியை மறந்தீர்கள்." ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 6 )

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் இப்படித் தண்டிக்கப்படும்போது அது நமக்கு மனதுக்குத் துக்கமாக இருக்கும். ஆனால் அப்படி நாம் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டுத் தேவனது அன்பினை உணர்ந்துகொள்ளும்போது அது நமக்கு மிகப்பெரிய சமாதானத்தைத் தரும். ஆம், "எந்தச் சிட்சையும் தற்காலத்தில் சந்தோஷமாய்க் காணாமல் துக்கமாய்க் காணும்; ஆகிலும் பிற்காலத்தில் அதில் பழகினவர்களுக்கு அது நீதியாகிய சமாதான பலனைத் தரும்." ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 11 )

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தொடர்ந்து துன்பங்களை எதிர்கொள்வோமானால் நம்மை நாமே நிதானித்துப்பார்த்து நமது தவறான பாவ வழிகளை விட்டு தேவனிடத்தில் திரும்பவேண்டியது அவசியம். துன்பங்கள் தேவன் இன்னும் நம்மை அன்பு செய்கிறார் என்பதற்கு அடையாளமாக இருக்கின்றது. எனவே, எகிப்து வாழ்வு வாழ்வோமானால் அந்த வாழ்வைவிட்டு வெளிவர முயற்சியெடுப்போம். நமது பாவங்களை கிறிஸ்துவிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரது இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்படும் அனுபவத்தை வேண்டுவோம். 

கர்த்தர் எகிப்தியரை வாதையினால் அடிப்பதும், அப்படி அடித்து அவர்களைக் குணமாக்குவதும் வேதம் கூறும் ஆவிக்குரிய காரியங்களாகும். எனவே, "கர்த்தரிடத்தில் திரும்புவோம் வாருங்கள்; நம்மைப் பீறினார், அவரே நம்மைக் குணமாக்குவார்; நம்மை அடித்தார், அவரே நம்முடைய காயங்களைக் கட்டுவார்." ( ஓசியா 6 : 1 )

Scripture Meditation No. 1659
AATHAVAN – Saturday, 23 August 2025

"And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them." (Isaiah 19:22 KJV)

As we have often seen in previous Aathavan meditations, “Egypt” in Scripture symbolizes bondage to sin. Therefore, “Egyptians” does not merely refer to the people of that land, but to all who are enslaved to sin and live under its power. Just as Israel was in bondage under Pharaoh in Egypt and was delivered through Moses to journey toward Canaan, so our Lord Jesus Christ delivers us from the bondage of sin and leads us toward the heavenly Canaan.

If we persist in living the “Egyptian life” of sin without true repentance, the Lord declares that He will smite us with affliction. Yet, when He chastises, sinners realize their sinful ways, repent, and return to Him. At that point, He listens to their supplication and heals them. As Jeremiah prayed: “O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.” (Jeremiah 10:24 KJV)

The Lord disciplines those who live in the “Egyptian life” because He loves them and desires that they repent. This is like a father chastening the son he loves. “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” (Hebrews 12:6 KJV)

Beloved, chastening is never pleasant at the moment, but through it we come to know His love, and it brings us peace. “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.” (Hebrews 12:11 KJV)

Therefore, if we repeatedly face afflictions, let us examine ourselves and turn from sinful ways back to God. Afflictions are not signs of rejection, but rather proofs that God still loves us. If we are living the Egyptian life of sin, let us make every effort to come out of it, confess our sins to Christ, and seek cleansing through His precious blood.

The Lord smiting and healing Egypt represents the spiritual truth of God’s dealings with His people. Thus, let us say with the prophet: “Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.” (Hosea 6:1 KJV)

🦋 Meditation verse - 1 யோவான் 2 : 28 / 1 John 2:28

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1658                                           ஆதவன் 22.08.2025 வெள்ளி 

"பிள்ளைகளே, அவர் வெளிப்படும்போது நாம் அவர் வருகையில் அவருக்கு முன்பாக வெட்கப்பட்டுப் போகாமல் தைரியமுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு அவரில் நிலைத்திருங்கள்.

( 1 யோவான்  2 : 28 )

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இந்த பூமிக்கு இனிமேல் வரும்போது அவரைக்கண்டு பயப்பட்டு வெட்கப்பட்டு நாம் கைவிடப்பட்டவர்களாய்ப்  போய்விடக்கூடாது என இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலராகிய யோவான். நமது பள்ளிக்கு ஆய்வாளர் (Inspector) வரப்போகின்றார் என்று தெரிந்தால் நாம் எவ்வளவு கவனமாக ஏற்பாடுகளைச் செய்வோம்!!. அப்படி அவர் வரும்போது ஒரு பயம் எல்லோருக்கும் இருக்கும். அப்படி பயப்படும்போது தெரிந்த கேள்விக்குக்கூட நம்மால் சரியாகப் பதில் கூறமுடியாது. நம்மிடம் ஆய்வாளர்  ஒரு சாதாரண கேள்வியைக் கேட்கும்போது  அதற்குப் பதில்சொல்லத் தெரியாமல் நாம் இருந்தால் எவ்வளவு வெட்கப்படுவோம்!!

நாம் கிறிஸ்து வரும்போது அப்படி பயந்து வெட்கத்துக்குள்ளாகிவிடக்கூடாது; நரகத்தின் மக்களாகிவிடக்கூடாது. நாம் அவருக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது நமக்குப் பயம் வராது; மாறாக அவரை எதிர்பார்த்திருந்து அவர் எப்போது வருவார் என ஆவல்கொள்ளச்செய்யும்.  

இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனத்தின் முந்தின வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான், "நீங்கள் அவராலே பெற்ற அபிஷேகம் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது, ஒருவரும் உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கவேண்டுவதில்லை; அந்த அபிஷேகம் சகலத்தையுங்குறித்து உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறது; அது சத்தியமாயிருக்கிறது, பொய்யல்ல, அது உங்களுக்குப் போதித்தபடியே அவரில் நிலைத்திருப்பீர்களாக." ( 1 யோவான்  2 : 27 ) என்கின்றார்.

அதாவது தேவனைச் சார்ந்து பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் துணையையே விசுவாசமாய் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அபிஷேகத்தோடு வாழ்வோமானால்,  அனைத்தையும் அவரே நமக்கு உணர்த்திப் போதித்து  நம்மை வழி நடத்துவார். அதன்படி நாம் நிலைத்து வாழவேண்டும். அப்படி நிலைத்திருப்போமானால், அவர் வரும்போது பயப்படமாட்டோம்; வெட்கப்படமாட்டோம்.

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் அதிகமாக பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் அபிஷேகத்துக்காக ஜெபிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஏனெனில் சபைப் போதகர்களல்ல, ஆவியானவரே நம்மைச் சத்தியமான பாதையில் நடத்திட முடியும். "சத்திய ஆவியாகிய அவர் வரும்போது, சகல சத்தியத்திற்குள்ளும் உங்களை நடத்துவார்; அவர் தம்முடைய சுயமாய்ப் பேசாமல், தாம் கேள்விப்பட்டவைகள் யாவையுஞ்சொல்லி, வரப்போகிற காரியங்களை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பார்." ( யோவான் 16 : 13 ) என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் வழிநடத்துதலின்படி வாழும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் அவர் வெளிப்படும்போது அவர் வருகையில் அவருக்கு முன்பாக வெட்கப்பட்டுப் போகாமல் தைரியமுள்ளவர்களாய் இருக்கமுடியும். எனவேதான் ஆவியானவரின் அபிஷேகத்துக்காக நாம் அதிகம் ஜெபிக்கவேண்டியுள்ளது நமது அனைவரின் கடமையாகும்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1658
AATHAVAN – Friday, 22 August 2025

“And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.” (1 John 2:28, KJV)

The Apostle John warns us in today’s verse not to be ashamed or cast away when Christ returns. When we hear that an inspector is about to visit our school, we immediately prepare with care. Yet even then, fear grips us, and at times we are unable to answer even a simple question. How shameful it would be to remain silent before a small inquiry! Likewise, when Christ comes, we must not tremble in fear and shame as those who belong to hell. Rather, if we live a life pleasing to Him, His coming will not terrify us but fill us with eager expectation.

The previous verse explains how this is possible: “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” (1 John 2:27, KJV). This means that when we depend upon God and faithfully walk in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, He Himself will teach us, guide us, and keep us steadfast. If we remain so, we will not be ashamed at Christ’s appearing.

Therefore, beloved, we must earnestly pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Pastors and Preachers cannot fully keep us in truth—only the Spirit can lead us in the right path. As the Lord Jesus said: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” (John 16:13, KJV).

Only by living under the leading of the Holy Spirit can we stand with confidence, unashamed, when Christ appears. Therefore, it is our duty to continually pray for the Spirit’s anointing in our lives.

🦋 Meditation verse - அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 24 : 25 / Acts 24:25

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1657                                          ஆதவன் 21.08.2025 வியாழன்           

"அவன், நீதியையும், இச்சையடக்கத்தையும், இனிவரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பையும்குறித்துப் பேசுகையில், பேலிக்ஸ் பயமடைந்து: இப்பொழுது நீ போகலாம், எனக்குச் சமயமானபோது உன்னை அழைப்பிப்பேன் என்றான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 24 : 25 )

அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல்மேல்  யூதர்கள் குற்றம் சுமத்தி அவர் உரோமையில் விசாரணைக் கைதியாக இருந்தார். அப்போது  அவரிடம் பேலிக்ஸ் ராஜா விசாரணை செய்தான். ராஜாவுக்கு பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர் கூறிய பதில்களும் மறுமொழிகளும் சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்புகளாகவே வெளிவந்தன. பவுல் பேசிய பேச்சுக்களைக் கேட்டு பேலிக்ஸ் பயமடைந்தான் என்று இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

உண்மையினை நேருக்குநேர் சந்திக்க பலரும் விரும்புவதில்லை.  பேலிக்ஸ் ராஜாவும் அப்படியே இருந்தான். பவுல், நீதியையும், இச்சையடக்கத்தையும், இனிவரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பையும்குறித்துப் பேசுகையில், பேலிக்ஸ் பயமடைந்தான் என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். இந்த பயத்துக்குக் காரணம் என்ன? அவனிடம் நீதி, இட்சையடக்கம் போன்ற குணங்கள் இல்லை என்று பொருள். 

பொதுவாக மனிதர்களுக்குத் தங்களது குற்றங்கள் குறைகளையும் பாவங்களையும் பிறர் எடுத்துக்கூறுவது பிடிக்காது. அதிலும் ஆட்சி அதிகாரத்திலுள்ளவர்களுக்கு தங்களைப்  பிறர் குறைகூறுவது ஏற்கவே முடியாதது. ஆனால், அதனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்பவர்கள் மட்டுமே தங்களது வாழ்க்கையினை மாற்றிக்கொள்ள வழியுண்டு. விசாரணைக் கைதியான பவுல் பேசிய பேச்சுக்கள் பேலிக்சை உள்ளத்தில் குத்தியதால் அவன் பயமடைந்தான். ஆனாலும் அவன் மனம் திரும்பவில்லை.  

"ஆதவன்" வேதாகம தியானங்களைச் சில கிறிஸ்தவ ஊழியர்கள் விரும்புவதில்லை. சிலர் ஏதாவது தேவையற்ற விமரிசனங்களைச் சொல்வார்கள். ஆனால் நான் கவனித்த ஒரு விசயம், குறைகூறும் இந்த ஒருசில ஊழியர்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் ஏதாவது குறையுள்ளவர்களாக இருப்பர். உதாரணத்துக்குச் சில:-  தனது மனைவியை ஒதுக்கி வைத்துவிட்டு தான் நடத்திய கடையில் பணிசெய்த பெண்ணை மனைவிபோல  சேர்த்துவைத்துக்கொண்டு வாழ்பவர்,  நிதி மோசடி வழக்குகளில் சிக்கி நீதிமற்றத்துக்கும் வீட்டுக்குமாக  அலைபவர், ரியல் எஸ்டேட் நடத்துவதாகக் விளம்பரம் செய்து பொய்களைக்கூறி ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாத நிலத்தை அடுத்தவர் தலையில் கட்டிவிட்டு தலைமறைவு வாழ்க்கை வாழ்பவர்.....  இவர்களே.

இதுபோன்ற செயல்பாடுகளைக் கொண்டவர்களுக்கு வேத வசனங்கள் கசக்கவேச் செய்யும்.  எப்போதும் ஆசீவாத வசனங்களையே கூறிக்கொண்டிருந்தால் பாராட்டுவார்கள். அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் பேசிய வார்த்தைகள் இதுபோலவே பேலிக்ஸ் ராஜாவை அச்சுறுத்தின. எனவே அவன், "நீ போகலாம், எனக்குச் சமயம் கிடைக்கும்போது உன்னை அழைப்பேன்" என்று கூறி அனுப்பிவிட்டான். 

அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் எல்லோரும் மனம் திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புவதால் பொறுமையோடு காத்திருந்து பல்வேறு விதமாகத் தன்னை மக்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றார். அந்தச் சந்தர்ப்பங்களை நாம் பயன்படுத்தாமல்  பேலிக்ஸ் ராஜாவைப்போல, "எனக்குச் சமயம் கிடைக்கும்போது பேசலாம், நீ போ "  என உதறிவிட்டோமானால் இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவத்தை நாம் பெறமுடியாது.  "அநுக்கிரக காலத்திலே நான் உனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, இரட்சணியநாளிலே உனக்கு உதவிசெய்தேன் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறாரே; இதோ, இப்பொழுதே அநுக்கிரககாலம், இப்பொழுதே இரட்சணியநாள்." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 6 : 2 )

குறிப்பிட்ட சில வேத வசனங்களைக் கேட்கும்போது நமக்கு எரிச்சலோ, கோபமோ பயமோ வருகின்றது என்றால் நம்மிடம் ஏதோ குறை இருக்கின்றது என்று பொருள். வசனத்தின்மேலோ, அதனைக் கூறுபவர் மேலோ கோபம் கொள்ளாமல் நம்மை ஆராய்ந்துபார்த்து தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்புக் கேட்டு மனம் திரும்புவோம்.

AATHAVAN – Thursday, 21 August 2025

“And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.” (Acts 24:25, KJV)

The Jews falsely accused Apostle Paul, and he was kept as a prisoner in Rome for trial. During this time, King Felix examined him. But Paul’s replies were not mere legal defenses—they came forth as Gospel proclamations. As today’s verse tells us, when Felix heard Paul reasoning of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, he trembled.

Many people do not wish to face the truth directly—Felix was one such person. Paul spoke of righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment. Felix trembled because he lacked these very qualities. Human nature resists when sins and shortcomings are exposed. For rulers and authorities, such confrontation feels unbearable. Yet only those who accept the truth find the path to transformation. Felix trembled at Paul’s words, but sadly, he did not repent.

Even today, some people dislike Aathavan Bible Meditations. Some criticize needlessly. But one thing I have observed—often those who criticize strongly have hidden flaws in their own lives: one may abandon his wife and live with another woman as though she were his wife, another may be entangled in financial fraud cases, running between court and home, another may deceive through false real estate deals, selling land that never helps anyone, and then vanish into hiding. Such people naturally find God’s Word offensive. If we speak only words of blessing, they will gladly accept—but when truth pierces, they resist. That is exactly how Paul’s words disturbed King Felix, who dismissed him saying, “Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.”

Beloved, God is patient and desires that all should come to repentance. He reveals Himself in various ways and waits for us. But if we, like Felix, push away God’s voice saying, “Go for now, I will listen when it is convenient,” we will miss the experience of salvation. “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2, KJV)

If certain Scriptures make us restless, angry, or fearful, it means there is something wrong within us. Instead of being upset with the Word or the preacher, let us examine ourselves, seek God’s forgiveness, and repent.

🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 7 : 2 / Psalm 7:2

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1656                                           ஆதவன் 20.08.2025 புதன்          

"சத்துரு சிங்கம்போல் என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய், விடுவிக்கிறவன் இல்லாமையால், அதைப் பீறாதபடிக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும்." ( சங்கீதம் 7 : 2 )

ஆத்துமாவைப் பிடித்துச் சேதப்படுத்தும் சத்துருவாகிய சாத்தானை வேதம் சிங்கத்துக்கும் பாம்புக்கும்  ஒப்பிட்டுக் கூறுகின்றது. தான் இழந்துபோன பரலோக மகிமையை மனிதர்கள் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளக்கூடாது என்பதில் சாத்தான் மிகவும் தீவிரமாக இருக்கின்றான்.  அதற்காக அவன் மனிதர்களை பாவத்தில் வீழ்த்தி நரகத்துக்கு நேராக இழுத்துச்செல்ல முயலுகின்றான். 

எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு, "தெளிந்த புத்தியுள்ளவர்களாயிருங்கள், விழித்திருங்கள்; ஏனெனில், உங்கள் எதிராளியாகிய பிசாசானவன் கெர்ச்சிக்கிற சிங்கம்போல் எவனை விழுங்கலாமோ என்று வகைதேடிச் சுற்றித்திரிகிறான்." ( 1 பேதுரு 5 : 8 ) என்று நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றார். 

இதனால்தான் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் சங்கீத ஆசிரியர் தேவனிடம், "சத்துரு சிங்கம்போல் என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய், விடுவிக்கிறவன் இல்லாமையால், அதைப் பீறாதபடிக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும்." என்று வேண்டுதலாக மன்றாடுகின்றார். தேவனின் வல்லமையால் மட்டுமே நாம் சாத்தானை மேற்கொள்ள முடியும். ஆம்,  "சிங்கத்தின்மேலும் விரியன் பாம்பின்மேலும் நீ நடந்து, பாலசிங்கத்தையும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தையும் மிதித்துப்போடுவாய்." ( சங்கீதம் 91 : 13 ) என்று வாக்குத்தத்த வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

எனவே நாம் விழிப்பாய் இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். நமது மனித முயற்சியால் சாத்தானை மேற்கொள்ளமுடியாது. ஆவியானவரின் பலம் நமக்குத் தேவை. "வெள்ளம்போல் சத்துரு வரும்போது, கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியானவர் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கொடியேற்றுவார்." ( ஏசாயா 59 : 19 ) என்று வேத வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. எனவே நாம் ஆவியானவரின் பலத்துக்காக ஜெபிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியாகிய பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரே நமக்குப் பாவத்திலிருந்து முழு விடுதலையைத் தந்து வழிநடத்த முடியும். 

பாவ மன்னிப்பை நாம் பெறும்போது ஆவியானவர்மூலம் கிறிஸ்து நமது உள்ளத்தில் வருகின்றார். "மேலும் கிறிஸ்து உங்களிலிருந்தால் சரீரமானது பாவத்தினிமித்தம் மரித்ததாயும், ஆவியானது நீதியினிமித்தம் ஜீவனுள்ளதாயும் இருக்கும்." ( ரோமர் 8 : 10 ) இப்படி நமது ஆவியானது நீதியினிமித்தம் ஜீவனுள்ளதாக இருக்குமானால் சாத்தான் நம்மை மேற்கொள்ள முடியாது. "சத்துரு சிங்கம்போல் என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய், விடுவிக்கிறவன் இல்லாமையால், அதைப் பீறாதபடிக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும்" என ஜெபிக்கும் நாம் விடுவிக்கும் கிறிஸ்து நமக்கு உண்டு என்பதனை மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது.  விடுதலையளிக்கும் அவர் நமக்குள் வரும்படி வாஞ்சிப்போம், அப்போது நமது ஆத்துமா சாத்தானின் வஞ்சகத்துக்குத் தப்புவிக்கப்படும்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1656

AATHAVAN – Wednesday, 20 August 2025

"Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver." (Psalm 7:2, KJV)

The Bible compares Satan, the enemy who seeks to seize and destroy the soul, to both a lion and a serpent. Having lost the glory of heaven, Satan is determined that man should never inherit it. Therefore, he tempts people into sin and seeks to drag them straight into hell.

This is why the Apostle Peter warns us: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8, KJV)

Thus, the Psalmist in today’s verse pleads with God, saying: “Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.” Only by God’s power can we overcome Satan. Indeed, the Word promises: “Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.” (Psalm 91:13, KJV)

Hence, it is vital for us to stay watchful. By human effort alone, we cannot withstand Satan. We need the strength of the Holy Spirit. As it is written: “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59:19, KJV) Therefore, we must continually pray for the strength of the Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Christ, can lead us into complete deliverance from sin.

When we receive forgiveness of sins, Christ dwells in us through the Spirit. “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8:10, KJV) When our spirit is alive unto righteousness, Satan cannot prevail over us.

As we pray, “Lest he tear my soul like a lion…”, let us not forget that we have a Deliverer in Christ. If we invite Him into our hearts, He will protect our soul from the deceit of the devil.

🦋 Meditation verse - யாக்கோபு 4 : 8 / James 4:8

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1655                                          ஆதவன் 19.08.2025 செவ்வாய்         

"தேவனிடத்தில் சேருங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவர் உங்களிடத்தில் சேருவார். பாவிகளே, உங்கள் கைகளைச் சுத்திகரியுங்கள்; இருமனமுள்ளவர்களே, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குங்கள்." ( யாக்கோபு 4 : 8 )

மகிமையின் தேவனானவர் அழையா விருந்தாளியாக எவரிடமும் வரும் அற்ப மனிதனல்ல. அவருக்கான மகிமையினை நாம் கொடுக்கும்போது மட்டுமே அவர் நம்மிடம் வருவார். அவருக்கு மகிமையைச் செலுத்துவது என்பது உலகத் தலைவர்களைப் புகழ்வதுபோல புகழ்வதல்ல, மாறாக அவருக்குப் பயந்து அவருக்கு ஏற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வது. இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம் "உங்கள் கைகளைச் சுத்திகரியுங்கள்; இருமனமுள்ளவர்களே, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குங்கள்" என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

அதாவது பாவக்கறைகள் முற்றிலும் நீங்கிட நாம் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும்போது மட்டுமே அவர் நமக்குள் வந்து நம்மைச் சேர முடியும். இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழும் நாமே அசுத்தமான இடங்களில் வாழ விரும்புவதில்லை. நமது உறவினர்கள் சிலரது  வீடுகள் சுத்தமற்று, கழிவறைகள் நாம் பயன்படுத்த முடியாதபடி அருவெறுப்பான நிலையில் இருக்கும். ஆனால் அவர்களை நாம் பார்க்கச் செல்லும்போது அவர்கள் நம்மை அங்கு இரண்டுநாள் தங்கிச்செல்ல வற்புறுத்துவார்கள். அவர்கள் அன்பினால் அப்படி நம்மை அழைத்தாலும் அந்த வீடுகளின் சுகாதார நிலைமை நம்மை அங்கு தங்கிட  நமது மனதை அனுமதிக்காது. 

மனிதர்களாகிய நாமே இப்படியென்றால் பரிசுத்தரான தேவன் எப்படி அவலட்சணமான குணங்களுள்ள மனித இருதயத்தில் தங்க வருவார்? ஆம் பல மனிதர்கள் தேவனை அறிந்தும் அவர்களுக்குள் தேவன் வந்து மீட்பினைத் தர முடிவதில்லை. "அவர்கள் தேவனை அறிந்தும்,  அவரை  தேவனென்று  மகிமைப்படுத்தாமலும், ஸ்தோத்திரியாமலுமிருந்து, தங்கள் சிந்தனைகளினாலே வீணரானார்கள்; உணர்வில்லாத அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் இருளடைந்தது." (ரோமர் 1:21) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இங்கு அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "அவர்கள்  அவரை  தேவனென்று  மகிமைப்படுத்தாமலும்" என்று கூறுவது கவனிக்கத்தக்கது. ஆம், நமது வாழ்க்கையால் அவரை நாம் மகிமைப்படுத்தவேண்டியது அவசியம். அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்துவது என்பது வெறும் ஆராதனை செய்வதல்ல, "உங்கள் கைகளைச் சுத்திகரியுங்கள்; இருமனமுள்ளவர்களே, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குங்கள்." என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி நம்மைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குவது. எனவேதான் நமது பரிசுத்தத்துக்கு அழைப்பு விடுக்கின்றது இன்றைய தியான வசனம். 

நாம் நமது பாவங்களை கிறிஸ்துவிடம்  அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரது இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்படும்போது தூய்மையடைகின்றோம். அவரை அறிந்திட நமது பாவங்களே தடையாக இருக்கின்றன. எனவே, நமது பாவங்கள் அவரால் மன்னிக்கப்படும்போது நாம் கர்த்தரோடு  இருப்போம் அவரும் நம்மோடும் இருப்பார். வெளி அடையாளங்களான சடங்குகள் நம்மைத் தேவனை அறியவோ அவரிடம் நாம் சென்று சேரவோ உதவாது. 

இப்படி நாம் வெறும் சடங்குகளை ஆசரிக்கும் மனிதர்களாக அல்லாமல் அவரை அறிந்து வாழ்ந்தால் மட்டுமே அவரோடு இருப்போம்; அவரும் நம்மோடு இருப்பார். நமது பாவங்களை அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரைத் தேடினால் நமக்கு அவர் வெளிப்படுவார்.   "........சகல மனுஷரே, கேளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் கர்த்தரோடிருந்தால், அவர் உங்களோடிருப்பார்; நீங்கள் அவரைத் தேடினால், உங்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுவார்; அவரை விட்டீர்களேயாகில், அவர் உங்களை விட்டுவிடுவார். (2 நாளாகமம் 15:2) நமது பாவக்கறைப்படிந்த கைகளை சுத்திகரித்து  இருதயத்தைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கி அவரைத் தேடுவோம். அப்போது அவர் நமக்கு வெளிப்படுவார்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1655
AATHAVAN – Tuesday, 19.08.2025

"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." (James 4:8)

The God of glory is not a lowly guest who comes uninvited to dwell with anyone. He comes to us only when we give Him the glory due unto His name. Giving glory to God is not like praising worldly leaders, but living a life of reverence and holiness before Him. Today’s verse reminds us: “Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

Only when the stains of sin are cleansed from us can God dwell within us. Even we humans do not wish to stay in unclean places. Sometimes, our relatives may live in homes that are unclean and unhygienic, with restrooms unfit for use. Though they may lovingly insist that we stay with them, our hearts do not permit us to remain there because of the unhygienic state.

If this is true for us as humans, how much more will the Holy God refuse to dwell in the defiled hearts of men! Many know God, yet He cannot dwell in them because of sin. As it is written: “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” (Romans 1:21)

Notice Paul’s words—“they glorified him not as God.” Yes, our lives must glorify Him. To glorify God is not merely offering worship with words, but living a purified life—“Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” That is why today’s verse is a call to holiness.

When we confess our sins to Christ and are cleansed by His blood, we are made pure. It is our sins that hinder us from knowing Him. But when forgiven, we abide in Him, and He abides in us. Outward rituals cannot bring us to God.

Therefore, we must not be mere performers of rituals, but live knowing Him personally. Then only will He be with us, and we with Him. When we confess our sins and seek Him, He will reveal Himself to us: “The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.” (2 Chronicles 15:2)

Let us cleanse our sin-stained hands, purify our hearts, and seek Him—then He will surely reveal Himself to us.

🦋 Meditation verse - நீதிமொழிகள் 14 : 6 / Proverbs 14:6

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1654                                           ஆதவன் 18.08.2025 திங்கள்        

"பரியாசக்காரன் ஞானத்தைத் தேடியும் கண்டுபிடியான்; புத்தியுள்ளவனுக்கோ அறிவு லேசாய்வரும்." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 14 : 6 )

பரிகாசக்காரர்கள் என்பவர்கள் எதற்கெடுத்தாலும்  கோமாளிகள்போல மற்றவர்கள் சொல்வதையும் செய்வதையும்  அற்பமாகக் கூறிக்கொண்டு கேலி பேசுபவர்களைக் குறிக்கின்றது. ஆனால் இந்த உலகத்தில் இத்தகைய பரியாசக்காரர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் அதிக மக்கள் இருப்பார்கள். இவர்கள் அந்தக் கேலியையும் கிண்டல்களையும் இரசிப்பவர்கள். உலகம் இத்தகைய பரியாசக்கர்களை "நகைச்சுவை மன்னர்கள்" என்று கொண்டாடுகின்றது.  ஆனால் தேவன் இத்தகைய குணத்தை விரும்புவதில்லை. தனது மக்கள் இத்தகைய கேலி, பரிகாசம் செய்பவர்களோடு சேர்ந்திருப்பதையும்  அவர் வெறுக்கின்றார். 

இதனை நாம் முதலாவது சங்கீதத்தின் முதல் வசனத்திலேயே வாசிக்கின்றோம், "துன்மார்க்கருடைய ஆலோசனையில் நடவாமலும், பாவிகளுடைய வழியில் நில்லாமலும், பரியாசக்காரர் உட்காரும் இடத்தில் உட்காராமலும் ..."( சங்கீதம் 1 : 1 ) இருக்கிற மனிதன் பாக்கியவான் என்று. இதன் காரணம் என்னவென்றால் இத்தகைய பரியாசக் குணமுள்ளவர்கள் எதனையும் பரியாசமாகவே எடுத்துக்கொள்வார்கள். இவர்களிடம் ஆழமான அறிவுபூர்வமான தேடுதல் இருக்காது. எனவேதான் இன்றைய தியான வசனம், "பரியாசக்காரன் ஞானத்தைத் தேடியும் கண்டுபிடியான்" என்று கூறுகின்றது. 

வலைத்தளத்தில் சிலர் ஏன் பரியாசக்காரர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று தேடிப்பார்த்தபோது அதற்குச் சில காரணங்கள் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளதை அறிந்தேன்.   முதலாவது, தங்களது தவறை மறைந்திடச் சிலர்  இப்படிச் செய்கின்றனர், அடுத்து, மற்றவர்களை மதிக்காமை, மற்றவர்கள் முன்னேறுவது பிடிக்காமை, வாழ்வில் தாங்கள் எதிர்பார்த்த  வாய்ப்புக்கள்  கிடைக்காமை,  தங்களைப் பற்றிய  சுயமதிப்பு இல்லாமை,  கடுமையான தாழ்வுமனப்பான்மை.  பொதுவாக இத்தகைய மனிதர்களே பரியாசக்காரர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

எனக்குத் தெரிந்த கிறிஸ்தவ நண்பரொருவர் இருந்தார். அவர் இருக்குமிடத்தில் சிரிப்பும் கூத்துமாக இருக்கும். அவருக்கு தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் இரண்டு மூன்றுமுறை ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவைக்குறித்தும் அவரது மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைக் குறித்தும் எடுத்துக்கூறியுள்ளேன். ஆனால் அவரது கேலிபேசும் குணம் அப்போதும் வெளிப்படும். நான் கூறுவதற்கு கேலியாக, நகைச்சுவையாக ஏதாவது சொல்லிச் சிரிப்பார். ஆனால் எதிர்பாராத வகையில் திடீரென்று நோய் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு அவர் இறந்துபோனார். ஆம், கேலிபேசிக்  கேலிபேசித்  தேவனை அவரால் வாழ்வின் இறுதிவரை அறியமுடியாமலேயே போய்விட்டது. 

மேலும் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கேலிபேசுபவன் புத்தியில்லாதவன் என்று மறைமுகமாகக் கூறுகின்றது. எனவேதான் தொடர்ந்து கூறுகின்றது, "புத்தியுள்ளவனுக்கோ அறிவு லேசாய்வரும்" என்று. அதாவது பரியாசக்காரனான மனிதனுக்கு அறிவு வராது, அப்படி இல்லாமல் புத்தியுள்ளவனாய் இருப்பவனுக்கோ அறிவு வரும். 

அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகைக்குறித்து பரிகாசக்காரர்கள் கூறுவதைப் பின்வருமாறு கூறுகின்றார்:-  "முதலாவது நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டியது என்னவெனில்: கடைசி நாட்களில் பரியாசக்காரர் வந்து, தங்கள் சுய இச்சைகளின்படியே நடந்து, அவர் வருவார் என்று சொல்லுகிற வாக்குத்தத்தம் எங்கே? பிதாக்கள் நித்திரையடைந்தபின்பு சகலமும் சிருஷ்டிப்பின்தோற்றமுதல் இருந்தவிதமாயிருக்கிறதே என்று சொல்லுவார்கள்." ( 2 பேதுரு 3 : 3, 4 ) பிற இணைத்து மக்கள் மட்டுமல்ல, இன்று பல கிறிஸ்தவர்களுமே இயேசுவின் இரண்டாம் வருகையினை கேலியாக எடுத்துக்கொள்பவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர். 

இத்தகைய மனிதர்கள், ஜென்மசுபாவத்தாரும், ஆவியில்லாதவர்களுமாமே என்கின்றார் யூதா. "கடைசிக்காலத்திலே தங்கள் துன்மார்க்கமான இச்சைகளின்படி நடக்கிற பரியாசக்காரர் தோன்றுவார்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்களே. இவர்கள் பிரிந்துபோகிறவர்களும், ஜென்மசுபாவத்தாரும், ஆவியில்லாதவர்களுமாமே." ( யூதா 1 : 18, 19 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, பரிகாசக் குணம் நம்மிடம் இருக்குமானால் அதனை மாற்றிட முயலுவோம்;  புத்தியோடு சிந்திப்போம்; மற்றவர்களை மதிப்போம்.  அப்போது மட்டுமே வாழ்வில் தேவனை நாம் அறிய முடியும்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1654
AATHAVAN – Monday, 18 August 2025

"A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth." (Proverbs 14:6, KJV)

Scorners are those who mock others, making fun of what people say or do, treating everything lightly like jesters. Sadly, our world has many such scorners, and crowds enjoy their jokes and ridicules. Society often celebrates them as “kings of comedy.” But God does not delight in such behavior. In fact, He does not want His people to sit in fellowship with them.

The very first Psalm reminds us: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” (Psalm 1:1, KJV). Why? Because a scorner never takes anything seriously; they do not engage in deep, meaningful pursuit of truth. That is why today’s verse says, “A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not.”

I once read reasons why some people become scorners: to hide their own faults, due to lack of respect for others, jealousy over others’ success, disappointments in life, lack of self-worth, or deep inferiority complexes. These usually shape the character of scorners.

I remember a Christian friend who always filled his surroundings with laughter and jokes. Several times, I personally shared with him about the Lord Jesus Christ and the experience of salvation. But each time, he would turn my words into jokes and laugh them off. Unexpectedly, he fell ill and passed away quickly. Sadly, his life ended without truly knowing God—his mocking nature kept him blind to the truth until the very end.

Scripture further says that while a scorner cannot gain wisdom, “knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.” A man with a wise and humble heart will always gain knowledge.

Apostle Peter also warned about scoffers in relation to the second coming of Christ: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2 Peter 3:3–4, KJV). Sadly, it is not only unbelievers, but even many Christians today who make light of Christ’s second coming.

Jude too speaks about such people: “How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.” (Jude 1:18–19, KJV).

Dear beloved, if we find any mocking or scornful nature within us, let us ask God to change us. Let us think wisely and treat others with respect. Only then will we truly come to know God in our lives.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோபு 1 : 21 / Job 1:21

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳  

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1653                                           ஆதவன் 17.08.2025 ஞாயிறு       

"நிர்வாணியாய் என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்து வந்தேன்; நிர்வாணியாய் அவ்விடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன்; கர்த்தர் கொடுத்தார், கர்த்தர் எடுத்தார்; கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்துக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்". ( யோபு 1 : 21 )

தேவன் நம்மை ஆவியால் நிறைத்து நடத்தும்போது உலகச் செல்வங்கள் அவ்வளவு பெரிதாக நமக்குத்  தெரியாது. ஒருவேளை நமக்கு மற்றவர்களைப்போலச்  செல்வச் செழிப்பு இல்லாமலிருந்தாலும்  நாம் மனம் சோர்ந்து போகமாட்டோம். இன்று நம்மில் யாரும் யோபுவைப்போன்ற இழப்புக்களைச் சந்தித்திருக்கமாட்டோம்.  ஆனாலும்  இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறும் யோபுவைப்போல நம்மால் கூறுவது மிகவும் கடினமே. கடினம் மட்டுமல்ல, நம்மால் இப்படிக் கூறமுடியுமா என்பதும் கேள்விக்குறியே. தேவன்மேல் நூறுசதம் விசுவாசம் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே ஒருவரால் இப்படிக் கூறமுடியும். 

யோபு சாதாரண செல்வந்தனல்ல, இன்றைய உலகப் பெரும் பணக்காரர்களைப் போன்றவர் அவர்.  "அவனுக்கு ஏழாயிரம் ஆடுகளும், மூவாயிரம் ஒட்டகங்களும், ஐந்நூறு ஏர்மாடுகளும், ஐந்நூறு கழுதைகளுமாகிய மிருகஜீவன்கள் இருந்ததுமன்றி, திரளான பணிவிடைக்காரரும் இருந்தார்கள்; அதினால் அந்த மனுஷன் கிழக்கத்திப் புத்திரர் எல்லாரிலும் பெரியவனாயிருந்தான்." ( யோபு 1 : 3 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அந்தக்காலத்தில் இது மிகப்பெரிய செல்வம்தான். 

ஆனால் இத்தனைச் செல்வங்களையும், அவரது அனைத்துப் பிள்ளைகளையும் இழந்து நிற்கதியானபின்பும் அவர் தேவன்மேலுள்ள விசுவாசத்தை இழந்துவிடவில்லை.  "நிர்வாணியாய் என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்து வந்தேன்; நிர்வாணியாய் அவ்விடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன்; கர்த்தர் கொடுத்தார், கர்த்தர் எடுத்தார்; கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்துக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்" என்கின்றார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதிலிருந்து நாம் அறிந்துகொள்வது, தேவனது சித்தத்தின்படி சாத்தான் யோபுவுக்கு இத்தனை இழப்புகளையும் கொடுத்தான். ஆனால் அனைத்தையும் யோபுவிடமிருந்து பறித்துக்கொண்ட சாத்தானால் யோபுவிடமிருந்த தேவனை மட்டும் பறித்துக்கொள்ள முடியவில்லை. காரணம், மகிமையான தேவனை அற்பமான சாத்தானால் நெருங்கமுடியவில்லை. 

இன்று நம்மால் யோபுவைபோல இந்த அளவுக்கு இழப்புக்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாவிட்டாலும்  நமக்குள்ளிருக்கும் மகிமையின் தேவனை யாரும் எளிதில் பறித்துக்கொள்ள முடியாது எனும் உறுதியுடன் நாம் வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். நமக்குள் கிறிஸ்து வாழ்கின்றார் என்பது ஒரு விசுவாச இரகசியம் என்கின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர். ஆம்,  "கிறிஸ்துவானவர் மகிமையின் நம்பிக்கையாக உங்களுக்குள் இருப்பதே அந்த இரகசியம்." ( கொலோசெயர் 1 : 27 ) 

எனவே நாம் முதலில் அழிந்து போகின்ற உலக செல்வங்களைச்  சேர்ப்பதில் காண்பிக்கவேண்டிய ஆர்வத்தை கிறிஸ்துவை ஆதாயப் படுத்திக்கொள்வதில் செலுத்தவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கிறது;  அவரை நமக்குள் மகிமையின் நம்பிக்கையாகக் கொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கிறது. அப்படிக் கொள்ளும்போது இந்த உலகத்தில் நமக்கு இழப்புக்கள் வந்தாலும் நாம் விசுவாசத்தை இழக்கமாட்டோம். 

அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் எனவேதான், "கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பைவிட்டு நம்மைப் பிரிப்பவன் யார்? உபத்திரவமோ, வியாகுலமோ, துன்பமோ, பசியோ, நிர்வாணமோ. நாசமோசமோ, பட்டயமோ? இவையெல்லாவற்றிலேயும் நாம் நம்மில் அன்புகூருகிறவராலே முற்றும் ஜெயம் கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாயிருக்கிறோமே." ( ரோமர் 8 : 36, 37 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். "நான் ஜெயம் கொள்ளுகின்றேன்" என்று அவரை மட்டும் கூறாமல் "நாம் நம்மில் அன்புகூருகிறவராலே முற்றும் ஜெயம் கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாயிருக்கிறோமே" என்று நம்மையும் சேர்த்துக் கூறுகின்றார். 

இத்தகைய உறுதியான விசுவாசம் நமக்கும் வேண்டுமென்று ஆவியானவரை வேண்டுவோம். "கேட்கிற எவனும் பெற்றுக்கொள்கிறான்" (மத்தேயு 7:8) என்கிறார் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.

Scripture Meditation No. 1653

AATHAVAN – Sunday, 17 August 2025

"Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." (Job 1:21)

When God fills and leads us by His Spirit, the riches of this world do not appear so great to us. Even if we are not as wealthy as others, we will not be disheartened. Today, none of us may have faced losses like Job did; yet it is still very difficult for us to say, as Job said in today’s verse. In fact, the question is not just whether it is hard, but whether we could truly say it at all—unless we have one hundred percent trust in God.

Job was no ordinary rich man; he was like the great billionaires of our day. “His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.” (Job 1:3) In those times, this was immense wealth.

Yet, after losing all his possessions and all his children, Job did not lose his faith in God. He declared: "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."

Dearly beloved, from this we learn that it was according to God’s will that Satan brought such losses upon Job. But though Satan stripped Job of everything, he could not take God away from him—because the glorious God cannot be touched by a lowly Satan.

Today, even if we cannot endure such losses as Job, we must live with the assurance that no one can easily take away the glorious God who dwells in us. As the Apostle Paul says, this is a mystery: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)

Therefore, we must first shift the zeal we show in storing up perishable worldly riches toward gaining Christ and having Him as the hope of glory within us. Then, even if we face losses in this world, we will not lose our faith.

That is why the Apostle Paul says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Romans 8:35, 37) He does not say, “I am a conqueror” alone, but includes us: “we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.”

Let us therefore ask the Holy Spirit to give us such unwavering faith. For the Lord Jesus Christ says, “Every one that asketh receiveth.” (Matthew 7:8)
