🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 25 : 8 / Psalm 25:8

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1652                                            ஆதவன் 16.08.2025 சனி       

"கர்த்தர் நல்லவரும் உத்தமருமாயிருக்கிறார்; ஆகையால் பாவிகளுக்கு வழியைத் தெரிவிக்கிறார்." ( சங்கீதம் 25 : 8 )

உலகிலுள்ள எல்லா மனிதர்களையும் தேவன் அன்புசெய்கிறார். எனவே, மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் பாவச் செயல்பாடுகளால் தேவனைவிட்டுத் தடம் மாறிச் செல்லும்போது அவர் பல்வேறு விதங்களில் அவர்களோடு இடைப்படுகின்றார். தோல்விகள், பிரச்சனைகள் இவைகள் மனிதர்கள் தங்களை நிதானித்துப் பார்க்கத்  தேவன் கொடுக்கும் சந்தர்ப்பங்கள். சில வேளைகளில் மனிதர்கள் தேவ வழியைவிட்டு விலகும்போது தனது ஊழியர்களைக்கொண்டு சரியான வழியினைக் காட்டுகின்றார். ஆனால் பல மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் பாவ வழிகளைத் திருத்திக்கொள்ளத் தயாராக இருப்பதில்லை. 

ஆனால், கர்த்தரது குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கும்போது அதாவது கர்த்தரைக்குறித்த பயம் உள்ளத்தில் ஒருவனுக்கு ஏற்படும்போது அவனுக்குச் சரியான வழியைக் காட்டுகின்றார். இதனையே தாவீது, "கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற மனுஷன் எவனோ அவனுக்குத் தாம் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் வழியைப் போதிப்பார்." ( சங்கீதம் 25 : 12 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

நமது தேவன் பாவத்தை வெறுக்கிறாரேத் தவிர பாவிகளை நேசிக்கிறார். பாவிகள் அழிந்து நரக அக்கினிக்கு நேராகச் செல்வது தேவனது விருப்பமல்ல. அவர் நல்லவரும் உத்தமருமாய் இருக்கிறபடியால் பல்வேறு வழிகளில் தன்னை அவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றார். அவர்கள் தங்கள் பாவ வழியைவிட்டு மனம்திரும்பி வரவேண்டுமென்று காத்திருக்கின்றார். அப்படி பாவிகள் மனம் திரும்பும்போது மகிழ்ச்சியடைகின்றார். 

இதனையே இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உவமையாகக் கூறினார். "உங்களுக்கு எப்படித் தோன்றுகிறது? ஒரு மனுஷனுக்கு நூறு ஆடுகளிருக்க, அவைகளில் ஒன்று சிதறிப்போனால், அவன் மற்றத் தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது ஆடுகளையும் மலைகளில் விட்டுப் போய்ச் சிதறிப்போனதைத் தேடாமலிருப்பானோ? அவன் அதைக் கண்டுபிடித்தால், சிதறிப்போகாத தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது ஆடுகளைக்குறித்துச் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறதைப்பார்க்கிலும், அதைக்குறித்து அதிகமாய்ச் சந்தோஷப்படுவான் என்று, மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( மத்தேயு 18 : 12, 13 )

ஆம், கர்த்தர் நல்லவரும் உத்தமருமாயிருக்கிறபடியால் ஒருவரும் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் எல்லோரும் மனம் திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று நீடிய பொறுமையோடிருக்கின்றார். அவரது இரண்டாம் வருகை ஏன் தாமதிக்கின்றது என்பதைக் கூறவரும்போது அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு, "தாமதிக்கிறார் என்று சிலர் எண்ணுகிறபடி, கர்த்தர் தமது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தைக்குறித்துத் தாமதமாயிராமல்; ஒருவரும் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் எல்லாரும் மனந்திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று விரும்பி, நம்மேல் நீடிய பொறுமையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்." ( 2 பேதுரு 3 : 9 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

"கர்த்தர் நல்லவரும் உத்தமருமாயிருக்கிறார்; ஆகையால் பாவிகளுக்கு வழியைத் தெரிவிக்கிறார்." எனும் வசனம் தாவீது தனது அனுபவத்தில் கண்டது.  பத்சேபாளிடம் விபச்சாரப் பாவத்தில் விழுந்து அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக கொலை செய்தார். கர்த்தர் நல்லவரும் உத்தமருமாய் இருந்ததால் நாந்தான் தீர்க்கதரிசி மூலம் அவருக்கு வழியைத்  தெரிவித்தார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, சிலவேளைகளில் நமது வாழ்க்கையிலும் நாம் வழி தவறலாம்; பாவம் செய்யலாம். ஆனால்  அப்படி வழி தவறும்போது கர்த்தர் பல்வேறு விதங்களில் நம்மை உணர்த்துவார். அந்தச் சத்தத்துக்கு நாம் செவிகொடுக்க வேண்டும். நமது வழிகள் தவறு என்றால் திருத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். அவரது மன்னிப்பை வேண்டி அவரிடம் வரவேண்டும். அப்போது கிறிஸ்து கூறியதுபோல  சிதறிப்போகாத தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது (பாவமே செய்யாத) ஆடுகளைக்குறித்துச் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறதைப்பார்க்கிலும், மனம்திரும்பிய பாவியான நம்மைக்குறித்து அதிகமாய்ச் சந்தோஷப்படுவார்.

"Good and upright is the LORD: therefore, will he teach sinners in the way." (Psalm 25:8, KJV)

God loves all people in the world. Therefore, when men go astray from Him because of their sinful ways, He intervenes in various ways to draw them back. Failures and problems are often opportunities God gives for people to pause and examine their lives. At times, when they turn away from His path, He uses His servants to point them to the right way. Yet, many are unwilling to correct their sinful ways.

However, when a person listens to the voice of the Lord — when the fear of the Lord arises in the heart — God will guide him in the right path. As David says, "What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose." (Psalm 25:12, KJV)

Our God hates sin, but loves sinners. It is not His desire that sinners perish and go into the fire of hell. Because He is good and upright, He reveals Himself in many ways, waiting for sinners to turn from their ways and repent. When they do, He rejoices.

Jesus expressed this through a parable: "How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray." (Matthew 18:12–13, KJV)

Because the Lord is good and upright, He is patient, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. The apostle Peter says, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9, KJV)

David’s words, "Good and upright is the LORD: therefore, will he teach sinners in the way" (Psalm 25:8), were born from his own experience. After he fell into the sin of adultery with Bathsheba and followed it with murder, the Lord, being good and upright, sent the prophet Nathan to show him the right way.

Dear beloved, in our lives too, there are times when we may go astray and sin. But when we do, the Lord speaks to us in different ways to make us realize it. We must listen to His voice, correct our ways if they are wrong, and seek His forgiveness. Then, just as Christ said, He will rejoice over us — the sinner who has repented — even more than over the ninety-nine who did not stray.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 8 : 36 / John 8:36

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1651                                          ஆதவன் 15.08.2025 வெள்ளி      

"ஆகையால் குமாரன் உங்களை விடுதலையாக்கினால் மெய்யாகவே விடுதலையாவீர்கள்." ( யோவான் 8 : 36 )

அனைவருக்கும் சுதந்திரதினவிழா நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள் !!

அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறுவது  என்பது மகிழ்ச்சியானது. நமது நாடு ஆங்கிலேயருக்கு அடிமையாக இருந்து விடுதலைபெற்ற நாளை நாம் சுதந்திரதின  நாளாகக் கொண்டாடுகின்றோம். இந்த நாளில் இந்த அடிமைத்தனம் எப்படி நமது நாட்டுக்கு வந்தது என்பதனை நாம் எண்ணிப்பார்க்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

இந்தியாவின் அடிமைத்தனம் ஒரே நாளில் திடீரென்று வந்துவிடவில்லை. முதலில் இந்தியாவில் வணிகம் செய்வதற்கு என வந்த ஆங்கிலேயர்கள் தங்களது வலிமையை படிப்படியாக அதிகரித்து இறுதியில் ஆட்சியையேக்  கைப்பற்றி நம்மை அடிமைப்படுத்தினர். இதுபோலவே பாவம் மனிதர்களை அடிமைப்படுத்துகின்றது.  முதலில் சிறிதாக ஆரம்பித்து நம்மைப் படிப்படியாக பாவநிலைகளில் உயர்த்தி இறுதியில் மொத்த ஆத்துமாவையே பாவத்துக்கு அடிமையாக்கிவிடுகின்றது.   இப்படி நாம் பாவத்துக்கு அடிமையாகியுள்ளதால் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார், "பாவஞ்செய்கிறவன் எவனும் பாவத்துக்கு அடிமையாயிருக்கிறான் என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 8 : 34 )

ஒரு சிறுகதை படித்த ஞாபகம் உள்ளது. பாலைவனத்தில் ஒட்டகத்தில் பயணம் செய்த வியாபாரி இரவு தனது  ஒட்டகத்தை வெளியில் கட்டிவைத்துவிட்டு கூடாரத்துக்குள் உறங்கினான்.  அன்று கடுமையான குளிராக இருந்தது. எனவே ஒட்டகம் வியாபாரியிடம், "வெளியே மிகவும் குளிராக இருக்கிறது, எனது தலையை மட்டும் கூடாரத்துக்கு உள்ளே வைத்துக்கொள்ள அனுமதிப்பாயா?" என்று கேட்டது. வியாபாரி, "சரி, வைத்துக்கொள்" என்றான். சிறிது நேரம் கழித்து ஒட்டகம் மீண்டும், "எனது கழுத்துவரை கூடாரத்துக்குள்ளே வைத்துக்கொள்ள இடம் தருவாயா ?" என்று வியாபாரியிடம் கேட்டது. இளகிய மனம்கொண்ட அந்த வியாபாரி, "சரி வைத்துக்கொள்" என்றான். சற்று நேரத்துக்குப்பின் அவனிடம் எதுவும் கேட்காமலேயே ஒட்டகம் தனது முழு உடலையும் கூடாரத்துக்குள் கொண்டு வந்துவிட்டது. வியாபாரி வெளியே குளிருக்குள் தள்ளப்பட்டான். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, ஆங்கிலேயர்களைப் போலவும் ஒட்டகத்தைப்போலவும் பாவம் மனிதர்களை அடிமைப்படுத்துகின்றது.  சிறிது இடம்கொடுத்தாலும் பாவம் முழு ஆத்துமாவையும் மேற்கொண்டு நம்மை நரகத்துக்கு நேராகக் கொண்டுசென்றுவிடும். 

இப்படிப் பாவம் நம்மை அடிமைப்படுத்தாமல் இருக்கவேண்டுமானால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் போதனைகளில் நிலைத்திருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்போது நாம் அவரது சீடர்களாய் வாழ்வது மட்டுமல்ல, பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுதலையும் பெறுவோம். எனவேதான் "இயேசு தம்மை விசுவாசித்த யூதர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் என் உபதேசத்தில் நிலைத்திருந்தால் மெய்யாகவே என் சீஷராயிருப்பீர்கள்; சத்தியத்தையும் அறிவீர்கள், சத்தியம் உங்களை விடுதலையாக்கும் என்றார்." ( யோவான் 8 : 31, 32 )  

நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவே சத்தியம். "நானே வழியும் சத்தியமும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; என்னாலேயல்லாமல் ஒருவனும் பிதாவினிடத்தில் வரான்." (யோவான் 14:6) என்று அவர் கூறவில்லையா? ஆம், சத்தியமான அவரை நாம் அறிந்து ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது மட்டுமே பாவத்தின் பிடியிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறமுடியும். எனவே அவரை நமது வாழ்வில் அறிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும் எனும் ஆர்வமும் அதற்கான செயல்பாடும் நமக்கு அவசியம். அது கடினமான காரியமல்ல. நமது இருதயத்தை அவர் ஆட்சிசெய்யும்படி அவருக்கு ஒப்படைக்கவேண்டியதே நாம் செய்யவேண்டியது. 

"அன்பான இயேசுவே, நான் செய்யும் பாவங்களை உண்மையிலேயே நான் வெறுக்கிறேன், அவற்றை விட்டுவிட முயன்றாலும் என்னால் விடமுடியவில்லை. எனது பாவத்திலிருந்து என்னை விடுவித்தருளும். உமது பரிசுத்த இரத்தத்தால் என்னைக் கழுவி உமது  மகனாக /  மகளாக என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும். என்னை முற்றிலும் உமக்குக் கையளிக்கிறேன்" என்று வேண்டுவோம். நமது பாவங்களைத் தனிமையில் அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிடுவோம். அப்போது மெய்யான விடுதலை பெறுவோம். ஆம், குமாரன் உங்களை விடுதலையாக்கினால் மெய்யாகவே விடுதலையாவீர்கள்.

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)

Wishing you all a blessed Independence Day!

Freedom from bondage is a great joy. Our nation celebrates Independence Day to remember the day we were freed from British rule. On this day, it is worth reflecting on how that bondage came upon our country in the first place.

India’s bondage did not happen overnight. The British first came to trade, gradually increased their influence, and finally took over the administration, making us their subjects. In the same way, sin enslaves mankind—starting small, drawing us deeper step by step, and eventually taking control of our whole soul. That is why Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." (John 8:34)

I am reminded of a short story. A merchant travelling in the desert tied his camel outside and went into his tent to sleep. That night was bitterly cold. The camel said, “It’s very cold outside. May I put only my head inside the tent?” The merchant replied, “Alright, you may.” After a while, the camel asked again, “May I put my neck inside as well?” The merchant, soft-hearted, agreed. But before long, without asking, the camel moved its whole body into the tent—pushing the merchant outside into the cold.

Dear friends, sin enslaves people just like the British did to India, and just like that camel in the story. Give it even a little room, and it will take over the whole soul, leading you straight toward hell.

If we do not want to be enslaved by sin, we must remain in the teachings of Christ. Then we will not only live as His disciples, but also receive freedom from sin. That is why, "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:31–32)

Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself is the Truth. Did He not say, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6)? Yes, only when we know and accept Him—the Truth—can we be delivered from the grip of sin. For this, we must have the desire and determination to know Him personally. This is not a difficult task—we simply need to surrender our hearts to His rule.

Let us pray: "Dear Jesus, I truly hate the sins I commit. Even when I try to leave them, I cannot. Please deliver me from my sins. Wash me with Your precious blood and accept me as Your son/daughter. I surrender myself entirely to You."

Let us confess our sins to Him in private. Then we will receive true freedom. Yes—"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

🦋 Meditation verse - 1 யோவான் 4 : 20 / 1 John 4:20

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1650                                           ஆதவன் 14.08.2025 வியாழன்      

 

"தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறேனென்று ஒருவன் சொல்லியும், தன் சகோதரனைப் பகைத்தால், அவன் பொய்யன்; தான் கண்ட சகோதரனிடத்தில் அன்புகூராமலிருக்கிறவன், தான் காணாத தேவனிடத்தில் எப்படி அன்புகூருவான்?" ( 1 யோவான்  4 : 20 )

பல கிறிஸ்தவ குடும்பங்களில் நாம் காணக்கூடிய ஒரு விஷயம் உடன்பிறந்த சகோதர சகோதரிகளுக்குள் ஒற்றுமை இல்லாமை.  அண்ணன் தம்பிகளுக்குள் பேச்சுவார்த்தை இருக்காது,  உடன்பிறந்த சகோதரிகளைத்  திரும்பிக்கூட பார்க்கமாட்டார்கள்.  இதற்குக்  காரணம் பெரும்பாலும் பெற்றோர்கள் சேர்த்துவைத்தச்  சொத்துக்களைப் பங்கிடுவதில் வந்த மோதலாகத்தான்  இருக்கும். ஆனால் இவர்கள் ஆலயங்களுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளை  அள்ளி வழங்குவார்கள்.  இவர்களிடம் பக்திக் காரியங்கள் குறைவின்றிக்  காணப்படும்.

ஆனால், இவர்களது இத்தகைய தேவ அன்பு பொய்யானது, போலியானது  என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. "தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறவன் தன் சகோதரனிடத்திலும் அன்புகூரவேண்டுமென்கிற இந்தக் கற்பனையை அவராலே பெற்றிருக்கிறோம்." ( 1 யோவான்  4 : 21 ) என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் சகோதர அன்பை வலியுறுத்திக் கூறினார். இதுகுறித்து அவர், "ஆகையால், நீ பலிபீடத்தினிடத்தில் உன் காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்த வந்து, உன்பேரில் உன் சகோதரனுக்குக் குறை உண்டென்று அங்கே நினைவுகூருவாயாகில், அங்கேதானே பலிபீடத்தின் முன் உன் காணிக்கையை வைத்துவிட்டுப் போய், முன்பு உன் சகோதரனோடே ஒப்புரவாகி, பின்பு வந்து உன் காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்து." ( மத்தேயு 5 : 23, 24 ) என்று கூறினார். சகோதரர்களுக்குள் ஒற்றுமையில்லாமலிருக்கும்போது கொடுக்கும் காணிக்கையை தேவன் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை. ஆனால் பெரும்பாலான குடும்பங்களில் சகோதர சகோதரிகளுக்குள் நீதிமன்ற வழக்குகள் நிலுவையில் இருக்க்கும்போது அதுபற்றிய எந்தக்  குற்ற உணர்வுமின்றி அவர்களால் காணிக்கைகளும் ஆலய ஆராதனைகளும் அதிகம் செய்யப்படுகின்றன. 

குடும்பத்துக்குள் ஒற்றுமையில்லாமல் சகோதர அன்பில்லாமல் இருக்கும்போது ஏன் இப்படி இவர்கள் தேவனுக்கும் ஆலயங்களுக்கும் அள்ளி வழங்குகின்றார்கள் என்று பார்ப்போமானால் தங்களது சுய ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றவும் மக்களிடம் பெருமையடையவுமே எனபது புரியும். தேவனுக்கென்று நாம் எதனைச் செய்தாலும் அதனைப் பூரண அன்புடன் செய்யவேண்டியது அவசியம். அன்பில்லாமல் செய்யும் எவையும் அர்த்தமில்லாதவையே.  "எனக்கு உண்டான யாவற்றையும் நான் அன்னதானம்பண்ணினாலும், என் சரீரத்தைச் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படுவதற்குக் கொடுத்தாலும், அன்பு எனக்கிராவிட்டால் எனக்குப் பிரயோஜனம் ஒன்றுமில்லை." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 13 : 3 ) என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் பொய்யான வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வது அர்த்தமில்லாதது. தேவனையும் நம்மைப்போன்ற ஒரு மனிதனாக நாம் எண்ணிவிடக்கூடாது. சகலமும் அவருக்குமுன் வெளியரங்கமாகவும் நிர்வாணமாகவும் இருக்கின்றன. இன்று உலகத்தில் ஒருவேளை நாம் மனிதர்கள் மத்தியில் நல்ல பெயர் பெற்றிடலாம். ஆனால் அதனால் எந்த நன்மையுமில்லை.  நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் அவர், "நான் ஒருக்காலும் உங்களை அறியவில்லை; அக்கிரமச் செய்கைக்காரரே, என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள்" ( மத்தேயு 7 : 23)  என்று நம்மைத் துரத்தினால் அது எத்தகைய பரிதாபகரமானநிலையாக இருமென்று எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள்!!

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, சகோதரர்களுக்குள்ளான பகையை தேவன் அதிகம் வெறுக்கின்றார்.  எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான், "தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறேனென்று ஒருவன் சொல்லியும், தன் சகோதரனைப் பகைத்தால், அவன் பொய்யன்" என்று கடினமாகக் கூறுகின்றார்.  மட்டுமல்ல, "தான் கண்ட சகோதரனிடத்தில் அன்புகூராமலிருக்கிறவன், தான் காணாத தேவனிடத்தில் எப்படி அன்புகூருவான்?" என்று கேள்வியும்  எழுப்புகின்றார். நம்மிடம் இத்தகைய தவறு இருந்தால் திருத்திக்கொள்வோம். அப்போதுதான் நாம் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்வதில் அர்த்தமிருக்கும்.

"If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" (1 John 4:20 KJV)

In many Christian families, we often see a lack of unity among siblings. Brothers may not speak to each other; sisters may refuse even to look at one another. In most cases, the cause for this division is disputes over the division of the property left by their parents. Yet, these same people will give generously to churches, and their religious activities will appear to be plentiful.

However, today’s Scripture verse declares that such love for God is false and counterfeit. As the Apostle John says: "And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also." (1 John 4:21 KJV)

The Lord Jesus Christ also strongly emphasized brotherly love. Concerning this, He said: "Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." (Matthew 5:23–24 KJV)

When there is no unity among brothers, God does not accept the offerings given. Yet, in many families, even when court cases are pending between siblings, they continue to make offerings and actively participate in church worship without any sense of guilt.

If we ask why such people lavishly give to God and the church without brotherly love, the truth becomes evident — it is often to fulfil selfish desires or to gain prestige among people. Whatever we do for God must be done with pure love. Anything done without love is meaningless. As the Apostle Paul writes: "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing." (1 Corinthians 13:3 KJV)

Beloved, living a false life is meaningless. We must never think of God as if He were just another human being. "All things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." (Hebrews 4:13 KJV) In this world, we may perhaps earn a good name among people — but that will be of no benefit. On the Day of Judgment, if He says, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" (Matthew 7:23 KJV), how dreadful would that be!

Yes, beloved, God greatly hates enmity between brothers. That is why the Apostle John speaks so sternly: "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar." He even asks the searching question: "For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" If we find such a fault in ourselves, let us correct it. Only then will it have meaning when we call ourselves Christians.

🦋 Meditation verse - நீதிமொழிகள் 19 : 23 / Proverbs 19:23

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1649                                           ஆதவன் 13.08.2025 புதன்     

"கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல் ஜீவனுக்கேதுவானது; அதை அடைந்தவன் திருப்தியடைந்து நிலைத்திருப்பான்; தீமை அவனை அணுகாது." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 19 : 23 )

கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல் என்பது எல்லாவித தீமையான காரியங்களையும் வெறுத்து கர்த்தருக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. "தீமையை வெறுப்பதே கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம்; பெருமையையும், அகந்தையையும், தீய வழியையும், புரட்டுவாயையும் நான் வெறுக்கிறேன்." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 8 : 13 ) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். இப்படி கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் மனிதனது வாழ்வில் தீமை அணுகாது என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

இதனையே சங்கீத ஆசிரியர், "எனக்கு அடைக்கலமாயிருக்கிற உன்னதமான கர்த்தரை உனக்குத் தாபரமாகக்கொண்டாய். ஆகையால் பொல்லாப்பு உனக்கு நேரிடாது, வாதை உன் கூடாரத்தை அணுகாது." ( சங்கீதம் 91 : 9, 10 ) என்றும் கூறுகின்றார்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று நாம் எல்லோருமே தீமை நம்மை அணுகக்கூடாது என்றுதான் ஜெபிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் அப்படி ஜெபித்தால் மட்டும் போதாது கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் நமக்கு வேண்டும்.  பலரும் இன்று ஜெபத்துக்குக் கொடுக்கும் முக்கியத்துவத்தை நடைமுறை வாழ்க்கைக்குக் கொடுப்பதில்லை.  ஜெபம் மட்டுமல்ல, ஜெபிக்கும் நாம் தீமையை வெறுக்கின்றவர்களாகவும் இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். அதுவே கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும்பயம். 

நாம் இப்படிக்  கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது தீமையான காரியங்கள்  நமது வாழ்வில் வராது என்று பொருளல்ல; சோதனைகள் நமது வாழ்வில் ஏற்படாது என்று பொருளல்ல, ஆனால்  ஆனால் அத்தகைய சோதனைகளில் தேவன் அவற்றிலிருந்து நாம் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ளும் வழியையும் உண்டாக்குவார். "மனுஷருக்கு நேரிடுகிற சோதனையேயல்லாமல் வேறே சோதனை உங்களுக்கு நேரிடவில்லை. தேவன் உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்; உங்கள் திராணிக்கு மேலாக நீங்கள் சோதிக்கப்படுகிறதற்கு அவர் இடங்கொடாமல், சோதனையைத் தாங்கத்தக்கதாக, சோதனையோடுகூட அதற்குத் தப்பிக்கொள்ளும்படியான போக்கையும் உண்டாக்குவார்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 10 : 13 )

ஆம், கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது அவர் நமது துன்பங்களை நாம் தாங்கத்தக்கப் பலத்தை நமக்குத் தருவார்.  மட்டுமல்ல, "கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களைச் சூழப் பாளயமிறங்கி அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்." ( சங்கீதம் 34 : 7 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுத்தல் என்பது அவரது ஆசீர்வாதம் கிடைக்காமல் போகுமோ எனும் பயத்தில் வேதாகமத்தை வாசிப்பதும், ஜெபிப்பதும், ஜெபக்கூட்டங்களில் கலந்துகொள்வதும், உபவாசிப்பதும், காணிக்கைகள் கொடுப்பதும் அல்ல; மாறாக அவர்மீது மெய்யான அன்புகொண்டு அந்த அன்பினால் ஏவப்பட்டவர்களாக அவருக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. அத்தகைய தேவ அன்புள்ள மனிதர்களது ஜெபங்கள் வித்தியாசமானதாக இருக்கும். அத்தகைய மனிதர்கள் பாவத்தை வெறுக்கின்றவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். அதுவே கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல். அதுவே  ஜீவனுக்கேதுவானது என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

அப்படி நாம் வாழும்போது கிறிஸ்து நமக்குள் இருப்பதை உணர்நதுகொள்ள முடியும். "மேலும் கிறிஸ்து உங்களிலிருந்தால் சரீரமானது பாவத்தினிமித்தம் மரித்ததாயும், ஆவியானது நீதியினிமித்தம் ஜீவனுள்ளதாயும் இருக்கும்." ( ரோமர் 8 : 10 ) ஆம், கிறிஸ்து நமக்குள் இருக்கும்போது நமக்குப் பாவத்தைக்குறித்த பயம் ஏற்படும்; நாம் பாவம் செய்ய முடியாது.  அதுவே கர்த்தருக்கேற்ற பயம். அதை அடைந்தவன் திருப்தியடைந்து நிலைத்திருப்பான்; தீமை அவனை அணுகாது. கிறிஸ்து நமக்குள் வர அனுமதிப்போம். நமது இருதயத்தை அவருக்குத் திறந்து அவரை வரவேற்போம்.

AATHAVAN – Wednesday, 13 August 2025

"The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil." (Proverbs 19:23)

The fear of the LORD means to hate every kind of evil and to live a life that is pleasing to Him. We read, "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate." (Proverbs 8:13). Of such a man who fears the Lord, it is said that evil shall not come near him.

The Psalmist also declares, "Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." (Psalm 91:9-10).

Beloved, today we all pray that evil should not come near us. But prayer alone is not enough — we must also have the fear of the LORD. Many today give great importance to prayer but not to living it out in their daily life. It is not enough to just pray; we who pray must also be people who hate evil. That is the true fear of the LORD.

When we live such a God-fearing life, it does not mean that no evil events will ever happen to us, nor that no trials will ever come our way. But in such trials, God will make a way for us to escape. "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Yes, when we live in the fear of the Lord, He will give us the strength to endure our sufferings. Moreover, "The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them." (Psalm 34:7).

The fear of the LORD is not about reading the Bible, praying, attending prayer meetings, fasting, or giving offerings out of fear that we may lose His blessings. Rather, it is about having genuine love for Him and being compelled by that love to live a life that pleases Him. Such God-loving people have a different kind of prayer life. They are people who hate sin. That is the fear of the LORD. That is what “tendeth to life,” as today’s meditation verse says.

When we live in such a way, we will experience Christ living in us. "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." (Romans 8:10). Yes, when Christ is in us, we will have a holy fear concerning sin — we cannot live in it. That is the fear that pleases the Lord. He that has it shall abide satisfied, and evil shall not come near him.

Let us therefore allow Christ to dwell in us. Let us open our hearts and welcome Him in.

🦋 Meditation verse - ஏசாயா 40 : 29 / Isaiah 40:29

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1648                                          ஆதவன் 12.08.2025 செவ்வாய்           

"சோர்ந்துபோகிறவனுக்கு அவர் பெலன் கொடுத்து, சத்துவமில்லாதவனுக்குச் சத்துவத்தைப் பெருகப் பண்ணுகிறார்." ( ஏசாயா 40 : 29 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் நம்மைச் சோர்வடையச்செய்யும் காரியங்கள் பல உண்டு. நாம் எதிர்பார்த்தவை நடக்காதபோது, நாம் விரும்பியவை நமக்குக் கிடைக்காதபோது,  ஆசைப்பட்ட எதுவுமே நிறைவேறாமல் போகும்போது நாம் சோர்வடைகின்றோம். நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்களாய் வாழ்ந்தாலும் இப்படியே சிலவேளைகளில் நமக்கு நடக்கின்றது. அப்போது நாம் தேவன் என்னை மறந்துவிட்டார், எனது நீதியான வாழ்வை அவர் மதிக்காமல் என்னைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார் என்று மனம் சோர்ந்து போகின்றோம். 

இப்படி சோர்ந்து போகும் மக்களைப்பார்த்துத் தான் தேவன் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். இன்றைய தியான வசனத்துக்கு முந்தின வசனங்களில் பதிவிடப்பட்டுள்ள வார்த்தைகள் இதனை நமக்கு உணர்த்துகின்றன. "யாக்கோபே, இஸ்ரவேலே: என் வழி கர்த்தருக்கு மறைவாயிற்று என்றும், என் நியாயம் என் தேவனிடத்தில் எட்டாமல் போகிறது என்றும் நீ சொல்வானேன்? பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களைச் சிருஷ்டித்த கர்த்தராகிய அநாதி தேவன் சோர்ந்துபோவதுமில்லை, இளைப்படைவதுமில்லை; இதை நீ அறியாயோ? இதை நீ கேட்டதில்லையோ? அவருடைய புத்தி ஆராய்ந்துமுடியாதது." ( ஏசாயா 40 : 27, 28 )

ஆவிக்குரிய இஸ்ரவேலராகவும் யாக்கோபாகவும் வாழும் நீ உனது வழி கர்த்தருக்கு மறைவாயிற்று என்றும், உன் நியாயம் தேவனிடத்தில் எட்டாமல் போகிறது என்றும் ஏன் சொல்கின்றாய்? ஏன் புலம்புகின்றாய்? பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களைப் படைத்த கர்த்தராகிய அநாதி தேவன் சோர்ந்துபோவதுமில்லை, இளைப்படைவதுமில்லை; இதை நீ அறியாயோ? இதை நீ கேட்டதில்லையோ? என்கின்றார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். அதாவது, உனது நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கையும் உனது நியாயங்களும் எனக்குத் தெரியும். உனக்கு உதவுவதில் நான் சோர்ந்த்துவிடவில்லை, உனக்கு நிச்சயமாக பதில் செய்வேன் என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். 

ஆம், அவர் சோர்ந்துபோகிறவனுக்கு  பெலன் கொடுத்து, அவனது பெலனை பெருகப்பண்ணுகின்ற தேவன்.  ஆனால் நாம் பொறுமையாக அவருக்குக் காத்திருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். எனவேதான் தொடர்ந்து கூறுகின்றார், "கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களோ புதுப்பெலன் அடைந்து, கழுகுகளைப்போலச் செட்டைகளை அடித்து எழும்புவார்கள்; அவர்கள் ஓடினாலும் இளைப்படையார்கள், நடந்தாலும் சோர்ந்துபோகார்கள்." ( ஏசாயா 40 : 31 )

வேத வசனங்களைக் கோர்வையாக வாசிக்கும்போது மட்டுமே நமக்கு அவற்றின் பொருள் முற்றிலும் விளங்கும். கழுகுபோல செட்டைகளை அடித்து நாம் எழும்பவேண்டுமானால் வெறுமனே காத்திருந்தால்  மட்டும் போதாது, நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய இஸ்ரவேலராக வாழ்ந்து காத்திருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஆம், யாக்கோபே, இஸ்ரவேலே உன் வழி கர்த்தருக்கு மறைவாயிற்று என்றும், என் நியாயம் என் தேவனிடத்தில் எட்டாமல் போகிறது என்றும் புலம்பவேண்டாம். 

இந்த அண்டசராசரங்களைப் படைத்து ஆட்சிசெய்கின்ற கர்த்தராகிய தேவன் சோர்ந்துபோய்விடவில்லை. மட்டுமல்ல, அவருடைய புத்தி ஆராய்ந்துமுடியாதது. ஏற்ற காலங்களையும் வேளைகளையும்  அறிந்த அவர் நிச்சயமாக நமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருப்பார்.  சோர்ந்துபோயிருப்போமானால் விசுவாசத்தோடு அவரைச் சார்ந்துகொள்வோம். அவர் நமக்குப் பெலன் கொடுத்து நம்மை நிமிரச்செய்வதுமட்டுமல்ல, அந்த பெலனில் நாம் பெருகும்படியும் செய்வார்.

"Inside the Seeds" 🌳

Scripture Meditation No. 1648
AATHAVAN – Tuesday, 12.08.2025

"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength." (Isaiah 40:29, KJV)

In this world, there are many things that can make us weary. When what we expected does not happen, when what we desired is not given to us, when none of our hopes are fulfilled, we grow faint. Even when we live a God-pleasing life in our spiritual walk, such situations still occur at times. At such moments, we may feel as though God has forgotten us, disregarded our righteous living, and cast us aside.

It is to such weary people that God speaks today’s meditation verse. The preceding verses shed more light on this truth:

"Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding." (Isaiah 40:27–28, KJV)

As a spiritual Israel, as a Jacob chosen by God, why do you say, “My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God”? Why do you lament so? The everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary. Have you not known? Have you not heard? declares the Lord. In other words, He says: “I know your righteous life and your cause. I have not grown tired of helping you, and I will surely answer you.”

Yes, He is the God who gives power to the faint and increases the strength of those who have no might. But we must patiently wait upon Him. That is why He further says:

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31, KJV)

Only when we read the Scriptures in their connected context do we fully understand their meaning. If we are to mount up with wings as eagles, it is not enough merely to “wait”; we must wait as spiritual Israelites, living in faithfulness to God. Yes, O Jacob, O Israel, do not say, “My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God.”

The Lord God who created and rules the universe has not grown weary. Moreover, His understanding is unsearchable. Knowing the appointed times and seasons, He will surely stand by us. If we are weary today, let us cling to Him in faith. He will not only give us strength and lift us up, but also cause us to increase in that strength.

🦋 Meditation verse - 1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5 : 5 / 1 Thessalonians 5:5

  "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1647                                          ஆதவன் 11.08.2025 திங்கள்          

"நீங்களெல்லாரும் வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளும், பகலின் பிள்ளைகளுமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; நாம் இரவுக்கும் இருளுக்கும் உள்ளானவர்களல்லவே." ( 1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5 : 5 )

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால் மீட்கப்பட்டவர்களை இன்றைய தியான வசனம் வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகள், பகலின் பிள்ளைகள்  என்று கூறுகின்றது.  காரணம், நாம் மீட்கப்படும்போது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் மெய்யான ஒளியினிடம் வந்துவிடுகின்றோம். "உலகத்திலே வந்து எந்த மனுஷனையும் பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிற ஒளியே அந்த மெய்யான ஒளி." ( யோவான் 1 : 9 ) நாம் அந்த ஒளியின் பிள்ளைகள் ஆகிவிடுகின்றோம். 

மீட்கப்படுவதற்குமுன் நாமெல்லோரும் இருளான வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தோம். பாவத்தின் பிடியில் வாழ்ந்த நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பை ருசியாதவர்களாக இருந்தோம். இப்போது, பிதாவாகிய தேவனின் சித்தப்படி நாம் குமாரனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினால் மீட்க்கப்பட்டு இந்த ஒளியினிடம் வந்துள்ளோம். அதற்காக நாம் பிதாவாகிய தேவனை ஸ்தோத்தரிக்கவேண்டும். எனவேதான், "இருளின் அதிகாரத்தினின்று நம்மை விடுதலையாக்கி, தமது அன்பின் குமாரனுடைய ராஜ்யத்திற்கு உட்படுத்தினவருமாயிருக்கிற பிதாவை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறோம்." ( கொலோசெயர் 1 : 13 ) என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல். 

இப்படி நாம் முன்பு இருளாக இருந்து இப்போது வெளிச்சத்திடம் வந்துள்ளபடியால் தொடர்ந்து அந்த ஒளியில் நாம் நடக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். எனவேதான் "முற்காலத்தில் நீங்கள் அந்தகாரமாயிருந்தீர்கள், இப்பொழுதோ கர்த்தருக்குள் வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளாய் நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்." ( எபேசியர் 5 : 8 ) என்று வேத வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. அதாவது பாவமாகிய இருளின் வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து விடுபட்டு கிறிஸ்துவின் ஒளியினிடம் வந்துள்ளோம். எனவே அவரோடுள்ள உறவில் நாம் தொடர்ந்து பயணிக்கவேண்டும்.  

நாம் நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டு மற்றவர்கள் வாழ்வதுபோன்றே வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருப்போமானால் நாம் பொய்யர்கள் என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான யோவான்.  "நாம் அவரோடே ஐக்கியப்பட்டவர்களென்று சொல்லியும், இருளிலே நடக்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால், சத்தியத்தின்படி நடவாமல் பொய்சொல்லுகிறவர்களாயிருப்போம்." ( 1 யோவான்  1 : 6 ) அதாவது நாம் நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்வது பொய் என்று இந்த வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

மட்டுமல்ல, "அவர் ஒளியிலிருக்கிறதுபோல நாமும் ஒளியிலே நடந்தால் ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஐக்கியப்பட்டிருப்போம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்." ( 1 யோவான்  1 : 7 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்த நாமெல்லோரும்  வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளும், பகலின் பிள்ளைகளுமாயிருக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் அந்த வெளிச்சத்தில் நாம் தொடர்ந்து நடக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்படி நடக்க கிறிஸ்துவோடு நமக்குத் தனிப்பட்ட ஐக்கியம் அவசியம். அந்த ஐக்கியம் இல்லாவிட்டால் நாம்  நம்மை அறியாமலேயே நமது பழைய பாவ வாழ்க்கைக்குச் சென்றுவிடுவோம். நம்மால் கிறிஸ்து விரும்பும் கனியுள்ள வாழ்க்கையினை வாழவும் முடியாது. எனவேதான் இன்றைய தியான வசனம்,  "நாம் இரவுக்கும் இருளுக்கும் உள்ளானவர்களல்லவே" என்று நமக்கு உணர்வூட்டுகின்றது.

Scripture Meditation No. 1647

AATHAVAN – Monday, 11.08.2025

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness." (1 Thessalonians 5:5)

Today’s meditation verse calls those redeemed through Christ Jesus “children of light” and “children of the day.” Why? Because when we are redeemed, we come to the True Light — the Lord Jesus Christ. "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." (John 1:9) We thus become the children of that Light.

Before redemption, we all lived a life of darkness. Bound in sin, we had not yet tasted the love of Christ. But now, according to the will of God the Father, we have been redeemed through His Son, Jesus Christ, and brought into this Light. Therefore, we ought to give thanks to God the Father. This is why the Apostle Paul says: "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son." (Colossians 1:13)

Since we who were once in darkness have now come into the Light, it is essential that we continue to walk in that Light. As the Scripture instructs us: "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light." (Ephesians 5:8) This means that we have been freed from the life of sin, which is darkness, and have come into the Light of Christ; therefore, we must continue our journey in fellowship with Him.

If we call ourselves Christians yet live like the rest of the world, then, as the Apostle John says, we are liars: "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth." (1 John 1:6) In other words, claiming to be Christians while living in darkness is falsehood.

Moreover, "If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." (1 John 1:7)

Yes, beloved, all of us who have come to know Christ are indeed the children of light and the children of the day. But it is necessary that we keep walking in that Light. To do so, we must have a personal fellowship with Christ. Without that fellowship, we will unknowingly drift back to our old sinful ways and fail to live the fruitful life Christ desires. That is why today’s meditation verse reminds us: "We are not of the night, nor of darkness."

As the Lord Jesus Christ says: "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me." (John 15:4) Let us heed His voice.

🦋 Meditation verse - ரோமர் 15 : 7 / Romans 15:7

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1646                                          ஆதவன் 10.08.2025 ஞாயிறு         

"ஆதலால் தேவனுக்கு மகிமையுண்டாக, கிறிஸ்து நம்மை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதுபோல, நீங்களும் ஒருவரையொருவர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்." ( ரோமர் 15 : 7 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழும் நாம் தேவனது குணங்கள் உள்ளவர்களாக வாழவேண்டும் என்பதனை இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நமக்கு விளக்குகின்றது. தேவன் மனிதர்கள் அனைவரையும் ஜாதி, மதம், இனம் ஆகிய வேற்றுமைகளைக் கடந்து ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதுபோல நாமும் எல்லோரையும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்போது மட்டுமே கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் மற்றவர்களுக்கு அறிவிக்க முடியும்.

ஆனால் இன்று இத்தகைய மனநிலை பொதுவான  மனிதர்களிடமும் கிறிஸ்தவர்களிடமும் இல்லை என்றே  கூறலாம். பல்வேறு கிறிஸ்தவ பிரிவுகளிடையேகூட ஒருவர் ஒருவரை மதிப்பதில்லை; ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை.  இன்றைய தியான வசனத்துக்கு முன்பு 14 ஆம் அதிகாரத்திலிருந்தே இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் விளக்குகின்றார். ஒருவர் குறிப்பிட்ட ஒரு நாளை மற்ற நாளிலிருந்து சிறப்பான நாளாக கருதி அந்த நாட்களில் சில சிறப்பு செய்வது, குறிப்பிட்ட உணவுகளை உண்ணாமல் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே கடவுள் நம்மை அன்புசெய்வார் என எண்ணுவது இவைபோன்ற காரியங்கள் அவர்களது தனிப்பட்ட விருப்பம். அவற்றைக்குறித்து நாம் குறை கூறிக்கொண்டிருப்பதில் அர்த்தமில்லை என்கின்றார் பவுல். 

நாம் நம்மை ஆவிக்குரிய கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு மற்றவர்களை குறைகூறி அற்பமாக எண்ணுவோமானால் நாம் பரிதபிக்கக்கூடியவர்கள். எனவே, தொடர்ந்து அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் சில காரியங்களை நமக்கு விளக்குகின்றார்.  "அன்றியும், பலமுள்ளவர்களாகிய நாம் நமக்கே பிரியமாய் நடவாமல், பலவீனருடைய பலவீனங்களைத் தாங்கவேண்டும். நம்மில் ஒவ்வொருவனும் பிறனுடைய பக்திவிருத்திக்கேதுவான நன்னையுண்டாகும்படி அவனுக்குப் பிரியமாய் நடக்கக்கடவன்." ( ரோமர் 15 : 1, 2 ) என்கின்றார். 

அதாவது நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் பலமுள்ளவர்கள் என்று எண்ணுவோமானால் ஆவிக்குரிய வளர்ச்சியடையாத மற்றவர்களது பலவீனத்தில் நாம் அவர்களைத் தாங்கவேண்டும்.  மட்டுமல்ல, நமது நடக்கையால் ஆவிக்குரிய பலம் குறைந்த மற்றவர்களுக்குப்  பக்திவிருத்திக்கேதுவான நன்னையுண்டாகும்படி அவர்களுக்குப்  பிரியமாய் நடக்கவேண்டும் என்கின்றார். 

எனக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒரு சகோதரன் ஆவிக்குரிய ஒரு சபைக்குச் சென்று ஆராதனை செய்து ஒருசில நாட்களில் அங்கு ஞானஸ்நானமும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார். ஆனால் அவரது மனைவி பாரம்பரிய சபையிலேயே இருந்தார்.  அவர் சென்ற சபை பாஸ்டர், "நீங்கள் குடும்பமாக இங்கு ஆராதனைக்கு வந்து உங்கள் மனைவியும் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றால் மட்டுமே குடும்ப ஆசீர்வாதம் பெறமுடியும்"  என்று பயமுறுத்திவிட்டார். அதுமுதல் அந்த வீட்டில் சண்டையும் சமாதானக் குறைவும் ஏற்படத்துவங்கியது. மனைவியை அடித்துத் துன்புறுத்தித் தான் செல்லும் சபைக்கு அழைத்துச்சென்று அவளையும் அங்கு ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற வைத்துவிட்டார்.  

மெய்யான மனம்திரும்புதலோ, தேவனை அறியும் அறிவோ இல்லாததால் இன்றும் அந்தக் குடும்பத்தில் சமாதானமில்லை. காரணம் அந்தக் குடும்பத் தலைவன் கிறிஸ்துவை வாழ்வில் அறியவில்லை; எனவே, கிறிஸ்து நம்மை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதுபோல, நீங்களும் ஒருவரையொருவர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்று அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் கூறுவதுபோல கிறிஸ்துவைப்போல மற்றவர்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும் மனநிலையும் அவரிடம் இல்லை. இதுபோல இன்று பல கிறிஸ்தவ குடும்பங்கள் உள்ளன. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, முதலில் கிறிஸ்துவை நமது தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்வில் அறியவேண்டும். மேலும், பயமுறுத்துவதாலும், கட்டாயப்படுத்துவதாலுமல்ல, நமது நடக்கையால் மட்டுமே மற்றவர்களை நாம் ஆதாயப்படுத்த முடியும்.  "என்னத்தினாலெனில், அவிசுவாசியான புருஷன் தன் மனைவியால் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்படுகிறான்; அவிசுவாசியான மனைவியும் தன் புருஷனால் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்படுகிறாள்". (1 கொரிந்தியர் 7:14) சபை மாறுவதல்ல, நமது வாழ்க்கை கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஏற்றதாக மாறுவதே முக்கியம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1646

“Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.” (Romans 15:7)

Today’s meditation verse explains that we, who live in this world, ought to live with the nature and character of God. Just as God receives all mankind, transcending barriers of caste, religion, and ethnicity, we too must accept everyone. Only then will we be able to truly proclaim Christ to others.

Sadly, such an attitude is often absent both among the general public and among Christians. Even between various Christian denominations, people fail to value or accept one another. From the 14th chapter itself, the Apostle Paul addresses this same subject. Some people consider one day more special than another, engaging in certain religious practices on those days; others believe God loves them only if they abstain from certain foods. Paul says these are matters of personal conviction, and there is no meaning in continually judging or finding fault with others over such things.

If we call ourselves spiritual Christians yet belittle and criticize others, we are pitiable. Therefore, Paul continues to explain:

“We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.” (Romans 15:1–2)

That is, if we consider ourselves strong in the spiritual life, we must bear with the weaknesses of those who have not yet grown spiritually. Moreover, by our conduct, we must seek to please them for their good, leading to their spiritual growth.

I know of a brother who joined a spiritual church, worshipped there, and within a few days received water baptism. But his wife remained in her traditional church. The pastor of the church he attended told him, “Only if you attend worship here as a family and your wife also receives water baptism here will your family receive blessings.” This instilled fear in him. From that point, quarrels and unrest began in their home. He began to beat and ill-treat his wife, forcing her to come to his church and compelling her to take baptism there. Finally, she accepted his demand and took baptism.

Since there was no genuine repentance or true knowledge of God, even today there is no peace in that home. The reason is that the head of the family has not truly known Christ, and therefore does not have the mind to “receive one another, as Christ also received us” as Paul exhorts in today’s meditation verse. There are many Christian homes like this today.

Yes, beloved, first we must know Christ in our personal lives. And it is not by frightening or forcing people, but only by our conduct that we can win others.

“For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband.” (1 Corinthians 7:14)

Changing one’s church is not what matters most; what matters is that our life changes to be pleasing to Christ.
