🦋 Meditation verse - லுூக்கா 16 : 15 / Luke 16:15

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1728                                          ஆதவன் 31.10.2025 வெள்ளி        

"நீங்கள் மனுஷர்முன்பாக உங்களை நீதிமான்களாகக் காட்டுகிறீர்கள், தேவனோ உங்கள் இருதயங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; மனுஷருக்குள்ளே மேன்மையாக எண்ணப்படுகிறது தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக அருவருப்பாயிருக்கிறது." ( லுூக்கா 16 : 15 )

சமூகத்தில் மதிப்பும் மரியாதையம் பெற்றுள்ள மனிதர்கள் சிலவேளைகளில் தங்களது துன்மார்க்கச் செயல்கள் காரணமாக போலீசாரால் கைதுசெய்யப்படுவதையும், நீதிமன்ற வாசல்களில் ஏறி இறங்குவதையும், சிறைச்சாலைகளில் அடைக்கப்படுவதையும் பார்க்க முடியும். குறிப்பாக, நாட்டில் ஆட்சிமாற்றம் ஏற்படும்போது மாற்றுக்கட்சியினரை ஆளும் கட்சியினர் இப்படிக் கைது செய்கின்றனர். 

ஆனால் கைதுசெய்யப்படும் மனிதர்கள் இதுவரை சமூகத்தில் மதிப்பும் மரியாதையும் பெற்று பெருமையாக வாழ்ந்தவர்கள். அதாவது அவர்கள் மனிதர்முன் நீதிமான்களாகத் தங்களைக் காட்டிக்கொண்டவர்கள். இப்போது இவர்கள்மேல் குற்றம் சுமத்துமனிதர்களும்  நீதிமான்கள்போல பேசுவார்கள். ஆனால் இருவருக்கும் மனநிலையில் அடிப்படையில் எந்த வேறுபாடும் இருப்பதில்லை.

மனிதர்களாகிய நாம் ஒருவரின் பதவி, அவரிடமுள்ள செல்வம், அவருக்கு மக்கள் மத்தியிலுள்ள செல்வாக்கு இவைகளை மட்டும் பார்த்து அவர்களுக்கு மதிப்பளிக்கின்றோம். ஒரு மனிதனின் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கைமுறை, அவனது மனநிலை, இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகள் இவைகள் நமக்குத் தெரியாது. ஆனால் இவைகளை எல்லாம்  தேவன் அறிவார். எனவே, இத்தகைய மனிதர்களைப் பார்த்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறுகின்றார், "நீங்கள் மனுஷர்முன்பாக உங்களை நீதிமான்களாகக் காட்டுகிறீர்கள், தேவனோ உங்கள் இருதயங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; மனுஷருக்குள்ளே மேன்மையாக எண்ணப்படுகிறது தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக அருவருப்பாயிருக்கிறது."  மனிதனே, நீ உன்னைக்குறித்துப் பெருமையாக எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றாய், மக்கள் உன்னை மதிக்கின்றனர், ஆனால், எனக்கு நீ அருவருப்பானவன் என்கின்றார் கர்த்தர்.

மனிதன் முகத்தைப் பார்க்கின்றான், ஆனால், கர்த்தரோ இருதயத்தில் மறைந்திருக்கும் நினைவுகளையும் பார்க்கின்றார்.  அன்று ஈசாயின் புதல்வர்களுள் ஒருவனை இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாக நான் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன், அவனை அபிஷேகம் செய் என்றுகூறி சாமுவேலை தேவன் ஈசாயின் வீட்டிற்கு அனுப்பினார். அப்போது, ஈசாயின் மகன் எலியாபைப் பார்த்து சாமுவேல் இவன்தான் கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொண்டவன்  என்று எண்ணினான். அப்போது, "கர்த்தர் சாமுவேலை நோக்கி: நீ இவனுடைய முகத்தையும், இவனுடைய சரீரவளர்ச்சியையும் பார்க்கவேண்டாம்; நான் இவனைப் புறக்கணித்தேன்; மனுஷன் பார்க்கிறபடி நான் பாரேன்; மனுஷன் முகத்தைப் பார்ப்பான்; கர்த்தரோ இருதயத்தைப் பார்க்கிறார் என்றார்." (1 சாமுவேல் 16:7)

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் நமது உண்மைக் குணத்தை மறைத்து ஒருவேளை மக்களிடம் நல்ல பெயரையும் மதிப்பையும் பெறலாம். ஆனால், அப்படி மக்கள் நம்மை மேன்மையாகக் கருதுவது கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு அருவருப்பாக இருக்கின்றது. மனிதக்கழிவுகள் நமக்கு அருவருப்பாக உள்ளன; ஆனால் பன்றிகளுக்கு அவை விருப்பமான உணவாக இல்லையா? நமது செயல்பாடுகள், இருதயத்தின் நோக்கம் அனைத்தையும் அவர் அறிவார். எனவே, நமது உண்மையான முகத்தை மனிதர்களுக்குமுன்னும் தேவனுக்குமுன்னும் காட்டி ஒளிவு மறைவற்றவர்களாக தேவன் நம்மை மேன்மையாகக் கருதக்கூடிய வழக்கை வாழ்வோம்.

“Within the Seeds” 🌳

Bible Meditation No. 1728
AATHAVAN – Friday, 31 October 2025

“You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.” (Luke 16:15, NASB)

In society, we often see people who were once respected and honoured being arrested for their wicked deeds, standing before courts, or even being imprisoned. Especially when there is a change in government, those who belong to the opposition are often detained by those in power.

Yet, many of these arrested individuals were once held in high regard, living proudly with social prestige and recognition. In other words, they presented themselves as righteous before men. Now, those who accuse them speak as though they themselves are righteous — but in truth, there is no difference between the two in their hearts.

As human beings, we often value others based on their position, wealth, or influence among people. But we do not know their personal life, their inner attitude, or the thoughts of their heart. However, God knows all these things. Therefore, Jesus Christ said, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.” (Luke 16:15, NASB)

O man, you may think highly of yourself and others may honour you — but the Lord says, “To Me, you are detestable.”

Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. When God sent Samuel to the house of Jesse to anoint one of his sons as the king of Israel, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely this is the Lord’s anointed before Him.” But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God does not see as man sees, since man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7, NASB)

Yes, beloved, we may hide our true character and earn a good name and respect among people for a time. But what people consider honourable may be detestable in the eyes of the Lord. Human waste is abominable to us, yet it is delightful food for pigs! In the same way, our actions and the motives of our hearts are fully known to God.

Therefore, let us live honestly, without hypocrisy — showing our true selves both before men and before God — so that the Lord may find us truly honourable in His sight.

🦋 Meditation verse - அப். நடபடிகள் 9 : 5 / Acts 9:5

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1727                                          ஆதவன் 30.10.2025 வியாழன்       

"அவன் (சவுல்) :- ஆண்டவரே, நீர் யார், என்றான். அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: நீ துன்பப்படுத்துகிற இயேசு நானே; முள்ளில் உதைக்கிறது உனக்குக் கடினமாம் என்றார்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 9 : 5 )

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் சவுலுக்கும் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கும் இடையே நடைபெற்ற உரையாடலின் ஒரு பகுதி. இந்த உரையாடல்மூலம் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துத் தன்னை சவுலுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார். சவுல் பவுலாக மாறுகின்றார். 

இந்த வசனத்தை வாசிக்கும் பலரும் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்புக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படும் கிறிஸ்தவ எதிரிகள் மட்டும்தான் அவரைத் துன்புறுத்துபவர்கள் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். அது உண்மைதான் எனினும் இதனை நாம் சற்று ஆழமாகப் பார்க்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

பொதுவாக எல்லோரும் எந்த அறிவுரையையும், வேத வசனங்களையும் மற்றவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டதாகவே  எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று தங்களைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும் எல்லோருமே தங்களது வாழ்க்கையினை ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்க இந்த வசனம் உதவுவதாக உள்ளது. தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையானது இருபுறமும் கருக்கான பட்டயம். அது வசனத்தைக் கூறுபவனையும் வெட்டும், எதிரியையும் வெட்டும் என்பதனை நாம் மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது. 

ஆம், "தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையானது ஜீவனும் வல்லமையும் உள்ளதாயும், இருபுறமும் கருக்குள்ள எந்தப் பட்டயத்திலும் கருக்கானதாயும், ஆத்துமாவையும் ஆவியையும், கணுக்களையும் ஊனையும் பிரிக்கத்தக்கதாக உருவக் குத்துகிறதாயும், இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகளையும் யோசனைகளையும் வகையறுக்கிறதாயும் இருக்கிறது." (எபிரெயர் 4:12) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

அதுபோலவே, "நீ துன்பப்படுத்துகிற இயேசு நானே" எனும் வார்த்தைகள் எதிரிகளை மட்டுமல்ல, கிறிஸ்தவர்களாகிய நம்மை நோக்கியும் வெட்டுவதாக இருக்கின்றது.  இன்று, கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று தங்களைக் கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பல அரசு அதிகாரிகள் ஊழல்வாதிகளாக இல்லையா? ஏமாற்றுக்கார்களாக நிதி மோசடி வழக்குகளில் கைதாகவில்லையா? கிறிஸ்தவ ஊழியர்கள் பலர் கொலை வழக்குகளிலும் பாலியல் வன்கொடுமை செயல்பாடுகளில் ஈடுபட்டுக் கைதுசெய்யப்படவில்லையா?  இவர்களெல்லாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு எதிரானவர்கள் இல்லையா? கிறிஸ்து சவுலிடம் கூறியதுபோல இவர்களும் முள்ளின்மீது உதைக்கிறவர்கள்தானே? 

அன்று சவுல், "சவுலே, சவுலே, நீ என்னை ஏன் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறாய் என்று தன்னுடனே சொல்லுகிற ஒரு சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 9 : 4 ) இன்றும் அதே இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படும் கிறிஸ்தவர்களைப் பார்த்துக் கேட்கின்றார், "நீ என்னை ஏன் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறாய்?" ஆனால் பல கிறிஸ்தவர்களும் செவிடர்களாக, எந்த மனச்சாட்சியுமற்றவர்களாக தொடர்ந்து துன்மார்க்கத்திலேயே வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, அன்று அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பவுல் கிறிஸ்து தன்னிடம் இப்படிக் கேட்டபோது உடனேயே தன்னை அவருடைய சித்தத்துக்குக் கையளித்தார்.  "அவன் நடுங்கித் திகைத்து: ஆண்டவரே, நான் என்ன செய்யச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிறீர் என்றான்."  ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 9 : 6 ) அதுபோல தேவ சித்தத்துக்கு நம்மைக் கையளிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. 

இதனை வாசிக்கும் யாராக இருந்தாலும் (என்னையும் சேர்த்து)  நம்மையே நிதானித்துப் பார்ப்போம். நமது  வாழ்வில் சவுலைப்போல முள்ளில் உதைத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றோமா? அப்படி முள்ளில் உதைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தால் எவ்வளவு ஜெபித்தாலும் நமது வேதனைகள் தீராது; பிரச்சனைகள் மாறாது. சவுலைப்போல, "நான் என்ன செய்யச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிறீர்" என்று அவரது சித்தத்துக்குப் பணிந்து நடப்பதாக வாக்களிக்கும்போது மட்டுமே ஆசீர்வாதத்தினைக் காணமுடியும்; பவுலாக மாற முடியும்.   நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவிடம் கேட்போம், "ஆண்டவரே, நான் என்ன செய்யச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிறீர்?."

“Inside the Seeds” 🌳

Scripture Meditation No. 1727
AATHAVAN – Thursday, 30 October 2025

“And he (Saul) said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting; it is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ (Acts 9:5 NASB)

Today’s meditation verse records part of the conversation between Saul and the Lord Jesus Christ. Through this divine encounter, Jesus revealed Himself to Saul—who was soon transformed into Paul.

Many readers of this verse tend to think that the ones persecuting Jesus are only the enemies of the Gospel who openly oppose Christ and His followers. That is true, but we must look deeper.

Usually, people assume that every word of instruction or admonition in Scripture is meant for someone else. Beloved, this verse is for all who call themselves Christians today—it urges us to examine our own lives. The Word of God is like a double-edged sword; it pierces both the one who speaks it and the one who resists it. We must never forget that.

“For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12 NASB)

Likewise, the words, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,” are not only for the enemies of Christ—they also confront us who bear His name.

Today, are not many who call themselves Christians—government officials, leaders, or believers—found guilty of corruption and deceit? Are not some arrested for fraud, violence, or even immoral acts? Are not many so-called Christian workers involved in criminal and abusive behaviour? Are they not, like Saul once was, persecuting Christ Himself? Truly, they are “kicking against the goads.”

As it is written, “And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’” (Acts 9:4 NASB)

Even today, the same Lord Jesus looks upon those who act against His will and asks, “Why are you persecuting Me?” Yet, many Christians live as though deaf to His voice, hardened in heart, continuing in wickedness without conscience or repentance.

Beloved, when the Lord asked this question, Saul trembled and immediately surrendered himself to God’s will:

“And he said, ‘Lord, what do You want me to do?’” (Acts 9:6 NASB)

Likewise, it is essential for us to yield our lives fully to the will of God.

Let each of us—myself included—pause and examine our hearts. Are we, in any way, like Saul, “kicking against the goads”? If so, no matter how much we pray, our pain will not cease, and our problems will not change. Only when we, like Saul, humbly say, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” and choose to walk in obedience, will we experience true blessing and transformation. That is when we, too, can become like Paul.

So let us sincerely ask today: “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

🦋 Meditation verse - எபிரெயர் 4: 16 / Hebrews 4:16

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1726                                           ஆதவன் 29.10.2025 புதன்      

"ஆதலால், நாம் இரக்கத்தைப் பெறவும், ஏற்ற சமயத்தில் சகாயஞ்செய்யுங்கிருபையை அடையவும், தைரியமாய்க் கிருபாசனத்தண்டையிலே சேரக்கடவோம்." ( எபிரெயர் 4: 16)

தேவனோடுள்ள உறவில் பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்களுக்கும் நமக்கும் மிகப்பெரிய வேறுபாடு உண்டு. பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால மக்கள் தேவனை பயப்படத்தக்க ஒருவராகவே பார்த்தனர். தேவனைக்கண்டு பயந்து நடுங்கினர். எனவே, அன்று இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள்  "மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீர் எங்களோடே பேசும், நாங்கள் கேட்போம்; தேவன் எங்களோடே பேசாதிருப்பாராக,   பேசினால்  நாங்கள்   செத்துப் போவோம் என்றார்கள்." (யாத்திராகமம் 20:19) ஆனால் ஒரு சில பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால பரிசுத்தவான்கள் தேவனோடு பேசியுள்ளனர். ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் ஒரு தகப்பனோடு பேசுவதுபோல தைரியமாக அவரது குரலைக் கேட்டு மகிழவில்லை. அவரது குரலுக்கு ஒரு அதிகாரிக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதுபோலக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தனர்.  

ஆனால் இன்று நாம் தேவன் நம்மோடு பேசுவதை மகிமையான, மகிழ்ச்சியான காரியமாக எண்ணுகின்றோம். அதற்காக ஏங்குகின்றோம்.  ஆம் இதுதான் பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்காலத்துக்கும் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டுக்காலத்துக்குமுள்ள வேறுபாடு. 

ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கிருபையின் பிரமாணத்தை நமக்குத் தந்துள்ளார். நாம் தேவனைக்கண்டு பயப்படத்தேவையில்லை, அவர் நமது அப்பா என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமக்குத்  தேவனை அடையாளம் காட்டினார். அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலும், "மேலும் நீங்கள் புத்திரராயிருக்கிறபடியினால், அப்பா, பிதாவே! என்று கூப்பிடத்தக்கதாக தேவன் தமது குமாரனுடைய ஆவியை உங்கள் இருதயங்களில் அனுப்பினார்." (கலாத்தியர் 4;6) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, "அந்தப்படி, திரும்பவும் பயப்படுகிறதற்கு நீங்கள் அடிமைத்தனத்தின் ஆவியைப் பெறாமல், அப்பா பிதாவே, என்று கூப்பிடப்பண்ணுகிற புத்திர சுவிகாரத்தின் ஆவியைப் பெற்றீர்கள்." (ரோமர் 8:15) எனவே கிறிஸ்துவிடம் நாம் நெருங்கிச்செல்லப்  பயப்படவேண்டாம். அதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், "தைரியமாய்க் கிருபாசனத்தண்டையிலே சேரக்கடவோம்" என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம்.  அவரிடம் நாம் நெருங்கிச் செல்லும்போது இந்த வசனம் கூறுவதுபோல நாம் அவரது இரக்கத்தையும் சகாயஞ்செய்யும் கிருபையினையும் அடைவோம். 

பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்குள் கிருபாசனம் இருக்கும் மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் ஆசாரியன் மட்டுமே நுழைய முடியும். அதுவும், தன்னை மிருகங்களின் இரத்தத்தால் கழுவி பாவ நிவாரணம் பெற்று அவன் அங்குசென்று மக்களுக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்வான். ஆனால், விண்ணகத்திலிருக்கும் மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தினுள் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துத்  தனது சுய இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தி பிரதான ஆசாரியனாக நுழைந்துள்ளார். எனவே, நாம் அவரிடம் தைரியமாகச் செல்லலாம். 

காரணம்,  "இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சரீரம் ஒரேதரம் பலியிடப்பட்டதினாலே, அந்தச் சித்தத்தின்படி நாம் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்." (எபிரெயர் 10:10) கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் பாவங்கள் கழுவப்பட்ட அனைவருமே ஆசாரியர்கள்தான். எனவே நாம் தைரியமாக விண்ணக கிருபாசனத்தண்டையிலே சேரத் தகுதிபெற்றுள்ளோம். 

"நீங்களோ, உங்களை அந்தகாரத்தினின்று தம்முடைய ஆச்சரியமான ஒளியினிடத்திற்கு வரவழைத்தவருடைய புண்ணியங்களை அறிவிக்கும்படிக்குத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட சந்ததியாயும், ராஜரீகமான ஆசாரியக்கூட்டமாயும், பரிசுத்த ஜாதியாயும், அவருக்குச் சொந்தமான ஜனமாயும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்." ( 1 பேதுரு 2 : 9 ) என்கின்றார் பேதுரு. எனவே நாம்  தைரியமாய்க் கிருபாசனத்தண்டையிலே சேரமுடிகின்றது. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமக்காக ஏற்ப்படுத்தின இரட்சிப்பின் மேன்மை இதுதான். எனவே, அவரிடம் நமது பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரது மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம். அப்படி மன்னிப்பைப் பெறும்போது, ஏற்ற சமயத்தில் சகாயஞ்செய்யுங்கிருபையை அவரிடமிருந்து பெற்றுக்கொள்ள தைரியமாய்க் கிருபாசனத்தண்டையிலே நம்மால் சேர முடியும்.

“Therefore, let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

There is a great difference between how people in the Old Testament related with God and how we relate to Him today. The people of the Old Testament viewed God as One to be feared. They trembled in His presence. Thus, the Israelites said to Moses,

“Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but do not have God speak to us, or we will die.” (Exodus 20:19, NASB)

A few of the saints in the Old Testament did speak with God, but even they did not do so with the joyful confidence of children speaking to their Father. They heard His voice and obeyed it with the reverence of servants before a Master.

But today, we count it a glorious and joyous privilege to hear God speak to us. We long for His voice. Yes — this is the fundamental difference between the Old and the New Covenants.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has given us the covenant of grace. We no longer need to fear God as a distant Judge, for Jesus revealed Him to us as our Father. The Apostle Paul says, “Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, ‘Abba! Father!’” (Galatians 4:6, NASB)

Dear beloved, “For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!’”
(Romans 8:15, NASB)

Therefore, we need not be afraid to draw near to Christ. As today’s key verse says, “Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence.” When we draw near to Him, we will indeed receive His mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

In the Old Testament, only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place, where the mercy seat was located in the tabernacle. Even then, he had to cleanse himself with the blood of animals and make atonement for his sins before entering to intercede for the people.

But our Lord Jesus Christ has entered the heavenly Most Holy Place once for all, not with the blood of animals, but with His own precious blood. He became the eternal High Priest on our behalf. Therefore, we can now boldly come before Him.

For, “By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:10, NASB)

Everyone washed by the blood of Christ has become a priest before God. Hence, we are qualified to approach the heavenly throne of grace with boldness.

As Peter declares,

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.” (1 Peter 2:9, NASB)

Therefore, we can confidently approach the throne of grace.

Yes, beloved, this is the greatness of the salvation that the Lord Jesus Christ has prepared for us. Let us confess our sins before Him and seek His forgiveness. And when we receive His mercy, we can boldly draw near to the throne of grace — to obtain the grace that helps us in our time of need.

🦋 Meditation verse - எரேமியா 2 : 6 / Jeremiah 2:5

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1725                                           ஆதவன் 28.10.2025 செவ்வாய்     

"என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரப்பட்டு, மாயையைப் பின்பற்றி, வீணராய்ப் போகிறதற்கு என்னிடத்தில் என்ன அநியாயத்தைக் கண்டார்கள்?" ( எரேமியா 2 : 6 )

ஒரு குடும்பத்தில் அன்பாக வளர்க்கப்பட்ட மகனோ மகளோ பெற்றோருடன் ஏதோ மனத்தாங்கல் ஏற்ப்படும்போது அவர்களிடம் பேசாமல் அவர்களை ஒதுக்கிவைத்துவிடுவதுண்டு. அந்தப் பெற்றோர்கள் சிறுவயதுமுதல் அந்தப் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு பல நல்ல செயல்கள் செய்திருப்பார்கள். அந்தப் பிள்ளைகளது தற்போதைய நல்ல நிலைமைக்கு பெற்றோர்தான் காரணமாக இருப்பார்கள். ஆனால் பிள்ளைகள் இப்பொது அந்தப் பெற்றோருடன் பேசுவதில்லை. இது அந்தப் பெற்றோருக்கு எத்தனை மனவேதனையைக் கொடுக்கும்! 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் இதே மனவேதனையுடன் தேவன் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களைப்பார்த்துக் கேட்கின்றார், "என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரப்பட்டு, மாயையைப் பின்பற்றி, வீணராய்ப் போகிறதற்கு என்னிடத்தில் என்ன அநியாயத்தைக் கண்டார்கள்?" என்று.

முந்தின வசனங்களில் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், "யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்தாரே, இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தின் வம்சங்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள். கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: எங்களை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து வரப்பண்ணினவரும், அவாந்தரவெளியும், பள்ளங்களுமுள்ள தேசமும், வறட்சியும், மரண இருளுமுள்ள தேசமும், ஒருவனும் கடவாமலும் ஒரு மனுஷனும் குடியிராமலும் இருக்கிற தேசமுமான வனாந்தரத்தில் எங்களை நடத்தினவருமாகிய கர்த்தர் எங்கேயென்று உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் கேளாமல்..," ( எரேமியா 2 : 4, 5 )

அதாவது, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களே, உங்களது பிதாக்களை நான் அவர்கள் அடிமைகளாக இருந்த எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து விடுதலைப்பண்ணி  அவாந்தரவெளியும், பள்ளங்களுமுள்ள தேசமும், வறட்சியும், மரண இருளுமுள்ள தேசமும், ஒருவனும் கடவாமலும் ஒரு மனுஷனும் குடியிராமலும் இருக்கிற தேசமுமான வனாந்தரத்தில் வழிநடத்தி பாலும் தேனும் வழியும் கானானுக்குள் கொண்டுவந்தேன். இவ்வளவு செய்தும் உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் கர்த்தராகிய என்னை மறந்தார்கள். இப்படி என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரப்பட்டு, மாயையைப் பின்பற்றி, வீணராய்ப் போகிறதற்கு என்னிடத்தில் என்ன அநியாயத்தைக் கண்டார்கள்? என்கிறார் பரிசுத்தர். 

இதே வசனத்தை நமது வாழ்வில் இந்தநாளில் நாம் சிந்தித்துப்பார்ப்போம். நமது வாழ்க்கையிலும் தேவன் நமக்குப் பல்வேறு நல்ல காரியங்களைச் செய்திருக்கலாம். சுமார் பத்து ஆண்டுகளுக்குமுன் நமது வாழ்க்கை எப்படி இருந்தது; இப்போது எப்படி இருக்கின்றது என்று எண்ணிப்பார்ப்போம். ஆனால், இந்த இடைபட்டக் கால வளர்ச்சிக்கு நாம் அவருக்கு நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கின்றோமா? அல்லது அவரை மறந்தவர்களாக வாழ்கின்றோமா? 

இப்படி நாம் நன்றியறிதலில்லாமல் அவரோடு ஐக்கியமில்லாமல் வாழ்வோமானால் அன்று இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைப்பார்த்துக் கேட்டதுபோல தேவன் நம்மையும் பார்த்துக் கேட்பார். மகனே, மகளே என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரப்பட்டு, மாயையைப் பின்பற்றி, வீணராய்ப் போகிறதற்கு என்னிடத்தில் நீ  என்ன அநியாயத்தைக் கண்டாய்?  

"தேவசமாதானம் உங்கள் இருதயங்களில் ஆளக்கடவது, இதற்கென்றே நீங்கள் ஒரே சரீரமாக அழைக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்; நன்றியறிதலுள்ளவர்களாயுமிருங்கள்." (கொலோசெயர் 3:15) என்று நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல். எந்தவேளையிலும் நாம் நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாக வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். நாம் நன்றியுள்ளவர்கள் என்பதனை தேவனுக்குக் காண்பிக்க ஒரே வழி அவரது வார்த்தைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதுதான். ஆம், தேவ குரலுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தவர்களாக வாழ்வோம்; நமது வாழ்க்கையால் அவருக்கு நன்றிசெலுத்துவோம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1725
AATHAVAN — Tuesday, 28 October 2025

“What injustice did your fathers find in Me, That they went far from Me, And walked after emptiness and became empty?” — Jeremiah 2:5 (NASB)

In a family, there are times when a dearly loved son or daughter becomes emotionally distant from their parents. They may stop speaking to them and choose to stay away. Yet, those same parents would have lovingly cared for that child from childhood—feeding, guiding, protecting, and shaping their present well-being. How painful it must be for those parents when their grown children turn away and refuse even to speak with them!

In today’s meditation verse, we hear God expressing a similar sorrow toward His people Israel:

“What injustice did your fathers find in Me, that they went far from Me, And walked after emptiness and became empty?” (Jeremiah 2:5, NASB)

In the preceding verses, God speaks through the prophet Jeremiah, saying:

“Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel.

Thus says the Lord, ‘What injustice did your fathers find in Me,
That they went far from Me
And walked after emptiness and became empty?
They did not say, ‘Where is the Lord who brought us up out of the land of Egypt,
Who led us through the wilderness,
Through a land of deserts and of pits,
Through a land of drought and of deep darkness,
Through a land that no one crossed and where no man dwelt?’”
— Jeremiah 2:4–6 (NASB)

The Lord reminds them: “I delivered your fathers from bondage in Egypt. I led them through a vast and terrifying wilderness — a land of deserts, pits, drought, and deep darkness, where no one travelled or lived. I guided them safely into a land flowing with milk and honey.”

Yet even after such divine goodness, their fathers forgot the Lord. And now God asks them with deep grief, “What injustice did you find in Me, that you went far from Me, and pursued emptiness?”

Let us pause and reflect on this in our own lives. Has not God done countless good things for us too? Think back to your life ten years ago — how it was then, and how it is today. Surely, God has blessed, led, and lifted us in many ways. But are we truly grateful? Or have we slowly drifted away, forgetting Him in the midst of our blessings?

If we live in ingratitude and disunity with Him, then just as He questioned the people of Israel, He may also lovingly ask us: “My son, My daughter, what injustice did you find in Me, that you went far from Me, and pursued emptiness?”

The Apostle Paul gives us a gentle reminder:

“Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful.” — Colossians 3:15 (NASB)

At all times, we must live with a heart of gratitude. And the only true way to show our thankfulness to God is through obedience to His Word.

Yes — let us live as those who heed the voice of God.

Let our lives themselves become our thanksgiving to Him.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 5 : 25 / John 5:25

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1724                                            ஆதவன் 27.10.2025 திங்கள்    

"மரித்தோர் தேவகுமாரனுடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்குங்காலம் வரும், அது இப்பொழுதே வந்திருக்கிறது; அதைக் கேட்கிறவர்கள் பிழைப்பார்கள் என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 5 : 25 )

யூதர்களுக்கு ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறும் இந்த வசனம், தேவனுடைய குமாரனின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்காதவர்கள் மரித்தவர்கள் என்று கூறுகின்றது.  அன்பானவர்களே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்காவிட்டால் நம்மில் உயிர் இருக்காது. "ஏனெனில் பிதாவானவர் தம்மில் தாமே ஜீவனுடையவராயிருக்கிறதுபோல, குமாரனும் தம்மில்தாமே ஜீவனுடையவராயிருக்கும்படி அருள் செய்திருக்கிறார்." ( யோவான் 5 : 26 ) ஜீவனுள்ள குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் ஜீவன் இருக்கின்றது. 

பெதஸ்தா குளக்கரையில் முப்பத்தியெட்டு ஆண்டுகாலமாக படுத்தப்படுகையாகக் கிடந்த மனிதனை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து குணமாக்கினார். ஆனால், அதனை ஓய்வுநாளில் செய்ததால் யூதர்கள் இயேசுவின்மேல் குற்றம் கண்டுபிடித்தனர். காரணம், மனிதநேயமற்ற செத்தவர்களாக அவர்கள் இருந்தனர். அவர்களோடு உரையாடியபோது இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். "மரித்தோர் தேவகுமாரனுடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்குங்காலம் வரும், அது இப்பொழுதே வந்திருக்கிறது" என்று கூறினார். ஆனால் அந்தக் காலத்தை யூதர்கள் பயன்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவில்லை. 

இன்றும் ஆவியில் உயிரில்லாத மனிதர்கள் உலகினில் பலர் உண்டு. அவர்கள் உயிர்பெறவேண்டுமானால் கிறிஸ்துவின் குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவேண்டியது அவசியமாக இருக்கின்றது. "அதைக் கேட்கிறவர்கள் பிழைப்பார்கள் என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்" என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

கிறிஸ்துவின் வார்த்தையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் தள்ளுவோமானால் நாம் உயிரில்லாதவர்கள் மட்டுமல்ல, இறுதிநாளில் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின்போது அவரது வசனமே நம்மை நியாயம்தீர்க்கும்.  "என்னைத் தள்ளி என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறதொன்றிருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்." (யோவான் 12:48) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறவில்லையா?

எனவே, தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையாம் கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது நாம் உயிரடைவது மட்டுமல்ல, இறுதி நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின்போதும் தண்டனைக்குத் தப்புகின்றோம்.  எனவேதான், அதைக் கேட்கிறவர்கள் பிழைப்பார்கள் என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறினார். 

கிறிஸ்து உயிருடன் இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ்ந்த நாட்களில் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டதுபோல தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரட்சிப்பின் நற்செய்தி சத்தம் ஆவியில் மரித்துப்போன மக்களுக்குப் பல்வேறு விதங்களில் இன்றும் அளிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றது. ஆனால் பலர் அன்று யூதர்கள் அவரைக் கேலிசெய்ததுபோல இன்றும் கேலிபேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.  ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்களது உண்மை நிலைமையை உணர்ந்து அந்தச் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. அதனைக் கேட்கிறவர்கள் பிழைப்பார்கள்.  

ஆம், கிறிஸ்துமூலமாய் இரட்சிப்பின் செய்தி முதலில் மக்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. "முதலாவது கர்த்தர் மூலமாய் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு, பின்பு அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டவர்களாலே நமக்கு உறுதியாக்கப்பட்டதும், அடையாளங்களினாலும் அற்புதங்களினாலும் பலவிதமான பலத்த செய்கைகளினாலும், தம்முடைய சித்தத்தின்படி பகிர்ந்துகொடுத்த பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் வரங்களினாலும், தேவன் தாமே சாட்சி கொடுத்ததுமாயிருக்கிற இவ்வளவு பெரிதான இரட்சிப்பைக்குறித்து நாம் கவலையற்றிருப்போமானால் தண்டனைக்கு எப்படித் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ளுவோம்." ( எபிரெயர் 2 : 3, 4 ) என்கிறார் எபிரேய நிருப ஆசிரியர். 

தேவ குமாரனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து உயிருள்ளவர்களாக மாறுவோம்; இறுதி நியாயத்தீர்ப்புத் தண்டனைக்குத் தப்பித்துக்கொள்வோம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1724
AATHAVAN – Monday, October 27, 2025

“Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.” (John 5:25, NASB)

This verse spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ to the Jews reveals a profound truth: those who do not listen to the words of the Son of God are spiritually dead.

Beloved, if we do not listen to the voice of Jesus Christ, there is no life in us. “For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself.” (John 5:26, NASB) Life exists in Christ, the Living Son of God.

At the pool of Bethesda, Jesus healed a man who had been lying sick for thirty-eight years. But because He did this on the Sabbath, the Jews accused Him. They were spiritually lifeless, without compassion. It was during His conversation with them that Jesus declared today’s meditation verse: “An hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God.” Yet, the Jews failed to receive that gracious moment.

Even today, many people in this world are spiritually dead. For them to live, it is essential that they listen to the voice of Christ. Jesus said, “Those who hear will live.”

If we reject the words of Christ, we are not only lifeless but will also stand condemned by His word on the day of judgment. Did not Jesus say,

“The one who rejects Me and does not accept My words has one who judges him; the word which I spoke—that will judge him on the last day.” (John 12:48, NASB)

Therefore, when we receive Christ—the Word of God—we not only obtain life but are also delivered from condemnation on the final day of judgment. That is why Jesus emphatically said, “Those who hear will live.”

Just as the voice of salvation was proclaimed during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, so today that same saving message continues to reach people who are spiritually dead through various means. Yet, many still mock and reject it, just as the Jews did then.

Each of us must realize our true condition and listen attentively to that voice, for those who hear will live.

Yes, the message of salvation was first declared by the Lord Himself. As the author of Hebrews warns,

“How will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard, God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.” (Hebrews 2:3–4, NASB)

Let us, therefore, listen to the voice of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and become truly alive—escaping the judgment to come.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 8 : 47 / John 8:47

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1723                                          ஆதவன் 26.10.2025 ஞாயிறு   

"தேவனால் உண்டானவன் தேவனுடைய வசனங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறான்" ( யோவான் 8 : 47 ) 

ஒரு வீட்டில் பெற்றோருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து வாழும் பிள்ளைகள் பெற்றோர் கூறுவதற்குச் செவிகொடுப்பவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். ஆனால், சில குடும்பங்களில் எல்லா பிள்ளைகளும் அப்படிப் பெற்றோருக்குக்  கீழ்ப்படிந்து வாழ்வதில்லை. பெற்றோர் எவ்வளவுதான் அன்புசெய்து அவர்களைப் பராமரித்தாலும் அவர்கள் கீழ்ப்படிவதில்லை. இதுபோலவே, உலகிலுள்ள எல்லா மனிதர்களும் தேவனால் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்தான்; அவரால் பராமரிக்கப்படுபவர்கள்தான்.  ஆனால், எல்லோரும் அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதில்லை. 

ஆனால், தேவ வசனங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து வாழ்பவர்களே வேத அடிப்படையில் தேவனால் உண்டானவர்கள். நாம் தேவனால் உண்டானவர்கள் என்பதை உணர்த்துக்கொண்டால் அவருக்குக் காத்திருந்து அவர் வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்போம். எனவேதான் "தேவனால் உண்டானவன் தேவனுடைய வசனங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறான்" ( யோவான் 8 : 47 ) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக்  கூறினார். 

அப்படியானால் தேவனுக்குச் செவிகொடாதவர்கள் யார்? அவர்கள் பிசாசானவனால் உண்டானவர்கள் என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அவர் தனக்குச் செவிகொடாத யூதர்களைப்பார்த்துக் கூறினார், "நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிதாவாகிய பிசாசானவனால் உண்டானவர்கள்; உங்கள் பிதாவினுடைய இச்சைகளின்படி செய்ய மனதாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; அவன் ஆதிமுதற்கொண்டு மனுஷகொலைபாதகனாயிருக்கிறான்; சத்தியம் அவனிடத்திலில்லாதபடியால் அவன் சத்தியத்திலே நிலைநிற்கவில்லை; அவன் பொய்யனும் பொய்க்குப்பிதாவுமாயிருக்கிறபடியால் அவன் பொய்பேசும்போது தன் சொந்தத்தில் எடுத்துப் பேசுகிறான்." ( யோவான் 8 : 44 )

அதாவது தேவ வசனத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்கள்  தங்களது பிதாவாகிய பிசாசின் இச்சைகளின்படி செய்ய மனதாயிருக்கிறார்கள். மேலும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியதன்படிப் பார்த்தால்  அவர்கள், மனுஷகொலைபாதகர்கள்; சத்தியம் இல்லாதவர்கள்; பொய்யர்கள். நாம் தேவனால் உண்டானவர்களா இல்லை பிசாசானவனால் உண்டானவர்களா என்பதை நமது பக்தி முயற்சிகளோ, ஆராதனைகளோ வெளிப்படுத்துவதில்லை. மாறாக தேவனது வசனத்துக்கு எந்த அளவு நாம் செவிகொடுக்கின்றோம் என்பதே வெளிப்படுத்தும். 

நான் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வின் ஆரம்பகாலத்தில் சென்ற ஆவிக்குரிய ஆலயத்தின் போதகர் மிகச்சிறப்பாக தேவனது வார்த்தைகளை பிரசங்கங்கம்  செய்வார். அவரும் மிகச்சிறந்த ஆவிக்குரிய மனிதர். ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமைகளில் அந்த ஆலயத்தின் முன்வரிசையில் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் இரண்டு நபர்கள் கைகளை உயர்த்தி, துள்ளிக் குதித்து ஆராதிப்பதை பார்த்து நான் ஆச்சரியப்படுவதுண்டு. ஆனால் அந்தப் போதகர் ஆராதனை முடிந்தபின்னர் அவர்களைத் தனியே அழைத்துத் தேவன் தனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தியதை அவர்களுக்குக் கூறிக் கண்டிப்பார். எனக்கு முதலில் இது குறித்து எதுவும் புரியவில்லை.  

ஆனால் பின்னர் அந்த இரண்டு நபர்களைப்பற்றி ஒரு நபர்மூலம் அறிந்துகொண்டேன். ஆலயத்தில் துள்ளிக் குதிக்கும் அவர்கள் ஒரே இடத்தில்  வியாபாரம் செய்பவர்கள். அவர்கள் இருவருக்கும் தொழில் போட்டி இருந்தது. ஆலயத்தில் ஆவியில் நிறைந்து துள்ளிக் குதிக்கும் அவர்கள் சண்டையிடும்போது ஒருவருக்கொருவர் கெட்டவார்த்தைகளால் திட்டிக்கொண்டும் சண்டை போட்டுக்கொண்டும் சாட்சிக்கேடாக வாழ்பவர்கள். அதே போட்டியில்தான் ஆலயத்திலும் போட்டிட்போட்டு ஆராதிக்கின்றனர். 

இது ஒரு உதாரணம்தான். பொதுவாக பல கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் இப்படித்தான் மற்றவர்களிடம் பொறாமையும், பகையுணர்வும், வெறுப்புணர்வும் கொண்டவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். கிறிஸ்து கூறுவதன்படி இவர்கள் தேவனால் உண்டானவர்களல்ல. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, "தேவனால் உண்டானவன் தேவனுடைய வசனங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறான்" அல்லாதவன் அவர்கள் பிதாவாகிய பிசாசானவனால் உண்டானவர்கள். நம்மை நாம் தேவனுக்கு உரியவர்கள் எனக் கருதினால் தேவ வசனங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பவர்களாக வாழ்வோம். பக்தி முயற்சிகளும் ஆராதனைகளும் இரண்டாம் பட்சமே!!

AATHAVAN – Sunday, 26 October 2025

“He who is of God hears the words of God.” — John 8:47 

Children who live under the care and authority of their parents naturally listen to what their parents say. Yet, not every child in every family does so. Some disobey their parents, no matter how lovingly they are raised or how carefully they are nurtured.

In the same way, all human beings in this world are created by God and sustained by His grace — but not everyone obeys Him.

Only those who listen to and live by the Word of God are, according to the Scriptures, truly born of God. When we realize that we are of God, we will wait upon Him and give careful attention to His Word. That is why Jesus Christ said, “He who is of God hears the words of God.” — John 8:47 NASB

Then who are those who do not listen to God? Jesus said that they are those who belong to the devil. Speaking to the Jews who refused to listen to Him, Jesus declared:

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” — John 8:44 NASB

This means that those who refuse to obey the Word of God choose to do the desires of their father, the devil. According to the words of Jesus Christ, such people are murderers, devoid of truth, and liars.

It is not our religious efforts or acts of worship that reveal whether we belong to God or to the devil. Rather, it is how attentively we listen to and obey God’s Word that reveals our true identity.

When I was a young believer, I used to attend a church where the pastor was a deeply spiritual man and a powerful preacher of God’s Word. On Sundays, I noticed two people sitting in the front row, worshiping passionately — lifting their hands, leaping, and praising God with great emotion. I often wondered about their zeal.

But after the service, the pastor would sometimes call them aside and gently correct them about things God had revealed to him. At that time, I didn’t understand why.

Later, I learned from another believer that those two men were business competitors. Though they worshiped fervently in church, outside they were constantly quarrelling — cursing one another with harsh words and damaging their witness before others. Even their worship seemed to be driven by rivalry rather than reverence.

This is just one example. Sadly, many Christians today harbour jealousy, bitterness, and resentment toward others. According to the words of Christ, such people are not born of God.

Yes, beloved, “He who is of God hears the words of God.” Those who do not are of their father, the devil. If we truly believe we belong to God, let us live as people who listen to His Word with obedience and humility. Our piety and worship are secondary — obedience to God’s Word is what truly matters.
