தீங்குநாளில் / IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE

ஆதவன் 🔥 990🌻 அக்டோபர் 14, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"தீங்குநாளில் அவர் என்னைத் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து, என்னைத் தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து, என்னைக் கன்மலையின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார்." ( சங்கீதம் 27 : 5 )

இன்றைய வசனத்தில் தாவீது தனக்குத் தேவனிடமுள்ள விசுவாசத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றார். இந்த உலகத்தில் போர்களும், நோய்களும் இதர இயற்கைப் பேரிடர்களும் நேரிடும்போது பலரும் கலங்கித் தவிக்கின்றோம். கொரோனா பேரிடர் காலத்தை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். ஒவ்வொருநாளும் நம்மோடு இருந்த பலரது இறப்புச் செய்தி நம்மைக் கலங்கடித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது. நமது உறவினர்கள் நண்பர்கள் பலர் இறந்தும் போயினர். ஆனால் இன்றைய வசனத்தில் உறுதியாக விசுவாசத்துடன் தாவீது கூறுகின்றார், "தீங்குநாளில் அவர் என்னைத் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து, என்னைத் தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து, என்னைக் கன்மலையின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார்."

ஆம், தீங்குநாளில் தமது கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து நம்மைக் காப்பதுமட்டுமல்ல, அப்படிக் காப்பாற்றியபின் நம்மை உயர்த்துவார் என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

தாவீது இப்படிக் கூற, தேவனுக்கேற்றபடி வாழ்ந்த அவரது வாழ்க்கையின்மேல் ஒரு நம்பிக்கை அவருக்கு இருந்தது. ஏனெனில் இந்த சங்கீதத்தை எழுதிய அவர்தான் 15 வது சங்கீதத்தையும் எழுதினார். அதில் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "கர்த்தாவே, யார் உம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் தங்குவான்? யார் உம்முடைய பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்தில் வாசம் பண்ணுவான்? உத்தமனாய் நடந்து, நீதியை நடப்பித்து, மனதாரச் சத்தியத்தைப் பேசுகிறவன்தானே. அவன் தன் நாவினால் புறங்கூறாமலும், தன் தோழனுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யாமலும், தன் அயலான்மேல் சொல்லப்படும் நிந்தையான பேச்சை எடுக்காமலும் இருக்கிறான்." ( சங்கீதம் 15 : 1-3 )

யார் கர்த்தருடைய கூடாரத்தில் தங்குவான் என்பதை அவர் அறிந்திருந்தார். தனது வாழ்க்கை அதற்கேற்றாற்போல இருக்கின்றது என்பதை அவர் இருதயத்தில் ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்திருந்தார். எனவே, இத்தகைய துன்மார்க்கச் செயல்கள் தன்னிடம்  இல்லாததால் கர்த்தர் தன்னைத் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து,  தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து, கன்மலையின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார் என்று விசுவாசத்துடன் கூறுகின்றார். அவர் கூறியதுபோல தேவன் அவரைப் பாதுகாத்து இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக உயர்த்தினார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் தாவீதுக்கு ஒரு நீதி நமக்கொரு நீதி என்று பார்ப்பாரல்ல.  தாவீதுக்கு இப்படிச் செய்வாரானால் நமக்கும் நிச்சயமாக இப்படிச் செய்வார். தேவனுடைய கூடாரத்தில் தங்குவதற்கு அவர் கூறியுள்ள தகுதிகள் மட்டும் நமக்கு இருந்தால் போதும் 

மட்டுமல்ல, இன்றைய தியான வசன சங்கீதத்தின் முதல் வசனத்தில் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "கர்த்தர் என் வெளிச்சமும் என் இரட்சிப்புமானவர், யாருக்குப் பயப்படுவேன்? கர்த்தர் என் ஜீவனின் அரணானவர், யாருக்கு அஞ்சுவேன்?"  ( சங்கீதம் 27 : 1 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தாவீது கூறுவதுபோல நாமும் விசுவாசத்தோடு கூறுவோம் கர்த்தர் என் வெளிச்சமும் என் இரட்சிப்புமானவர், யாருக்குப் பயப்படுவேன்? அவரே என் அரணானவர், யாருக்கு அஞ்சுவேன்? அவர் என்னைத் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து, என்னைத் தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து, என்னைக் கன்மலையின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார். ஆமென்.

         IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE 

AATHAVAN 🔥 990🌻 October 14, 2023 Saturday

"For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock." (Psalms 27: 5)

In today's verse, David expresses his faith in God. When wars, diseases and other natural calamities occur in this world, many of us are troubled. Think of the Corona crisis. Every day the news of death of many people who were with us was attacking us. Many of our relatives and friends died. But in today's verse David says with firm faith, “in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock." 

Yes, today's verse says that He will not only hide us in His tent and protect us in the day of harm, but He will lift us up after saving us.

For David to say this, he had a faith in his life lived according to God. Because he who wrote this psalm also wrote the 15th psalm. In it he says, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour." (Psalms 15: 1-3)

He knew who would dwell in the tabernacle of the Lord. He searched his heart and knew that his life was like that. Therefore, because he does not have such wicked deeds, he says with faith that the Lord will hide him in his tabernacle, hide him in the secret of his tent, and lift him up on the rock. As he said, God protected him and made him king over Israel.

Beloved, God has no partiality. If he did this to David, he will surely do the same to us. It is enough if we only have the qualifications that He has told us to stay in God's tabernacle

Not only that, but in the first verse of today's meditation psalm, he says, "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalms 27: 1)

Yes beloved, let us say with faith as David said, The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall, I fear? He is my fortress, whom shall, I fear? He will hide me in his tabernacle, hide me in his shelter, and lift me up on the rock. Amen.

நமது ஜெபங்கள் எப்படி? / HOW IS OUR PRAYERS

 ஆதவன் 🔥 989🌻 அக்டோபர் 13, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"நீங்களோ பிரியமானவர்களே, உங்கள் மகா பரிசுத்தமான விசுவாசத்தின்மேல் உங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு, பரிசுத்த ஆவிக்குள் ஜெபம்பண்ணி, தேவனுடைய அன்பிலே உங்களைக் காத்துக்கொண்டு, நித்தியஜீவனுக்கேதுவாக நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய இரக்கத்தைப்பெறக் காத்திருங்கள்." ( யூதா 1 : 21 )

பொதுவாக நாமெல்லோருமே தேவனிடம் ஜெபிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் நமது ஜெபங்கள் எப்படி இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதற்கு அப்போஸ்தலரான யூதா ஒரு அறிவுரை கூறுகின்றார். 

முதலாவது விசுவாசத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். அதாவது நாம் ஜெபிக்குன் நாம் கேட்பதைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம் எனும் விசுவாசம் வேண்டும். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் இதனையே குறிப்பிட்டார். "ஆதலால், நீங்கள் ஜெபம்பண்ணும்போது எவைகளைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவீர்களோ, அவைகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம் என்று விசுவாசியுங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவைகள் உங்களுக்கு உண்டாகும் என்று சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( மாற்கு 11 : 24 ) ஜெபிக்குமுன் இதனை உறுதிப்படுத்திக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்கின்றார் யூதா. 

அடுத்து, நமது ஜெபங்கள் ஆவிக்குரியதாக இருக்கவேண்டும். வெறும் வாயினால் சப்தமிடுவதல்ல ஜெபம். தேவனோடு நமது இருதயம் இணைந்ததாக இருக்க வேண்டும். அது இருதயத்திலிருந்து வரவேண்டும். அன்னாளைப்போல இருதயத்தை தேவ சந்நிதியில் ஊற்றிவிடவேண்டும்.  (1 சாமுவேல் 1:15) 

மூன்றாவதாக, "தேவனுடைய அன்பிலே உங்களைக் காத்துக்கொண்டு" என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது நமது செயல்பாடுகள் அனைத்துமே தேவன் விரும்பும்வண்ணம் இருக்க வேண்டும்.  "நாம் தேவனுடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்வதே அவரிடத்தில் அன்புகூருவதாம்; அவருடைய கற்பனைகள் பாரமானவைகளுமல்ல." ( 1 யோவான்  5 : 3 )

இறுதியாகக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது, "நித்தியஜீவனுக்கேதுவாக நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய இரக்கத்தைப்பெறக் காத்திருங்கள்". நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதான் ஜீவன். அவரே முடிவில்லாத வாழ்வைத் தரவல்லவர். எனவே அந்தக் கிறிஸ்து நம்மீது இரக்கம்கொண்டு நமது ஜெபத்துக்குப் பதில்தர பொறுமையோடு காத்திருங்கள் என்கின்றார். 

அதாவது, சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்வதானால், தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்து, விசுவாசத்தோடு, முழு உள்ளத்தோடு ஜெபித்து, அவர் பதில்தர காத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.  

இந்த உலகத்தில்கூட நாம் ஒரு அரசு அலுவலகத்தில் ஏதாவது தேவைக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும்போது நாம் காத்திருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. மனு அனுப்பிவிட்டு மறுநாளே அரசு அலுவலகம்சென்று நமது மனுவுக்குத் தீர்வை நாம் எதிர்பார்க்க முடியாது.  ஆனால் நமது தேவன் நமது தேவைகளை நன்கு அறிவார். நமது சில தேவைகள் முக்கியமானதாக இருக்கும். அத்தகைய வேளைகளில் உடனடி பதில் தேவைப்படும். அத்தகைய நிலைமையில் அவர் உடனேயே பதில்தருவார். 

உதாரணமாக மரணத்தறுவாயிலிருக்கும் ஒருவருக்கு நாம் ஜெபிக்கும்போது பல மாதங்கள் காத்திருக்க முடியாது. அப்போது உடனடிப் பதிலை அவர் தரலாம். ஆனால் சில புனிதர்களின் தாய்மார்கள், பாவத்தில் வாழ்ந்த தங்கள் மகன் மனம்திரும்பப் பத்துப்  பதினைந்து ஆண்டுகள்  ஜெபித்ததாகக் கூறுவதை  நாம் அவர்களது வாழ்க்கைச் சரித்திரத்தால் அறியலாம். 

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, அப்போஸ்தலரான யூதா கூறும் ஆலோசனையின்படி ஜெபிப்போம். தேவ பதிலுக்குப் பொறுமையுடன் காத்திருப்போம்.

"Beloved, stand firm in your most holy faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." (Jude 1:21)

Generally we all pray to God. But the apostle Jude gives us some advice as to what our prayers should be.

The first speaks of faith. That is, we must have faith that if we pray, we will receive what we ask for. Jesus Christ also mentioned this. "Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." ( Mark 11 : 24 ) Judas says that he should confirm this before praying.

Next, our prayers must be spiritual. Prayer is not mere mouthing. Our heart should be united with God. It should come from the heart. Pour your heart into the presence of God like Anna. (1 Samuel 1:15)

Thirdly, it says, "Keep yourselves in the love of God." That means all our activities should be as God wants. "We love God by keeping His commandments; His commandments are not grievous." (1 John 5:3)

Finally it says, "Wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." Our Lord Jesus Christ is the life. He is the giver of endless life. So that Christ has mercy on us and says to wait patiently to answer our prayer.

That is, in short, to live a life acceptable to God, to pray with faith and wholeheartedly, and wait for Him to answer.

Even in this world when we apply for something in a government office we have to wait. We cannot expect a solution to our petition by going to the government office the next day after sending the petition. But our God knows our needs well. Some of our needs are important. In such cases an immediate response is required. In such a situation he will reply immediately.

For example, when we pray for someone who is dying, we cannot wait for months. Then he can give an immediate answer. But we can learn from the life history that the mothers of some saints say that their son who lived in sin prayed for ten to fifteen years to repent.

So, beloved, let us pray according to the counsel of the apostle Jude. Let's wait patiently for God's answer.

நீ தேடும் நிம்மதி / PEACE YOU SEEK

ஆதவன் 🔥 988🌻 அக்டோபர் 12, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை

"உங்களில் எவன் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, அவருடைய தாசனின் சொல்லைக் கேட்டு, தனக்கு வெளிச்சமில்லாததினால் இருட்டிலே நடக்கிறானோ, அவன் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை நம்பி, தன் தேவனைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளக்கடவன்." (ஏசாயா 50:10)

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைக் குறித்து மிக அதிகமான தீர்க்கத்தரிசனங்களைக் கூறியவர் ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி. இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனமும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைக் குறித்தத் தீர்க்கதரிசனத்தோடு கூடிய அறிவுரையாகும். ஒளியானது தேவனைக் குறிக்கின்றது. "தேவன் ஒளியாயிருக்கிறார், அவரில் எவ்வளவேனும் இருளில்லை; இது நாங்கள் அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டு உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிற விசேஷமாயிருக்கிறது."  ( 1 யோவான்  1 : 5 ) என்கின்றார் யோவான். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், கர்த்தருடைய தாசன் எனும் பெயரில் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து குறிப்பிடப்படுகின்றார். ஒருவன் தன்னில் மெய்யான ஒளியாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வெளிச்சத்தை இன்னும் காணவில்லையானால் அந்தத் துன்மார்க்கன் அவரை நம்பி  அவரைச் சேர்ந்துகொள்வானாக என்கின்றார் கர்த்தர். அதாவது, தனது பாவங்களை உணர்ந்து அவரைச் சேர்ந்து கொள்ளவேண்டும். ஏனெனில், "உலகத்திலே வந்து எந்த மனுஷனையும் பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிற ஒளியே அந்த மெய்யான ஒளி." ( யோவான் 1 : 9 ) அந்த ஒளி அவனைப் பிரகாசமடையச் செய்யும்.

ஆனால், "பொல்லாங்கு செய்கிற எவனும் ஒளியைப் பகைக்கிறான், தன் கிரியைகள் கண்டிக்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, ஒளியினிடத்தில்" வராதிருக்கிறான்". ( யோவான் 3 : 20 ) என்ற வாசனத்தின்படியே பலரும் ஒளியான அவரிடம் வரத் தயங்குகின்றனர். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துத் தன்னிடம் வருபவர்களைப்  புறம்பே தள்ளுபவரல்ல. எனவே அவரிடம் வரும்போது  எந்த ஒரு மனிதனையும் அவர் வெளிச்சமுள்ளவனாக மாற்றுவார். எனவேதான்,  "கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை நம்பி, அவரையேச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளக்கடவன்" என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. காரணம், அத்தகைய மனிதன் ஒளியடைவான்.  

ஆனால் பெரும்பாலான மனிதர்கள் மெய்யான ஒளியாகிய அவரிடம் வரத் தயங்குகின்றனர். காரணம், மனுஷருடைய கிரியைகள் பொல்லாதவைகளாய் இருக்கிறபடியினால் அவர்கள் அந்த ஒளியைப்பார்க்கிலும் இருளையே விரும்புகின்றனர்.( யோவான் 3 : 19 ) அவரிடம் வரும்போது தாங்கள் வழக்கமாககச் செய்துவரும் பல செயல்களைச் செய்யமுடியாது என்று எண்ணுகின்றனர்.  

அன்பானவர்களே, உலகினில் கோடிக்கணக்கான சொத்துக்கள் நமக்கு இருந்தாலும் கிறிஸ்து தரும் மெய்யான சமாதானத்துக்கு ஈடாகாது. அந்த மனச் சமாதானம் ஒளியாகிய அவரிடம் மட்டுமே உண்டு. இப்படிப்  பெரிய செல்வந்தர்களாக இருந்தும் மனச் சமாதானம் இல்லையானால் நமது வழிகளை நாம் சிந்தித்துப் பார்த்து மெய்யான ஒளியாக்கிய அவருக்கு நேராகத் தனது இருதயத்தைத் திருப்பவேண்டியது அவசியமாயிருக்கிறது. எனவேதான் ஏசாயா மூலம் கர்த்தர் இன்றைய ஆலோசனையைத் தருகின்றார். "தனக்கு வெளிச்சமில்லாததினால் இருட்டிலே நடக்கிறானோ, அவன் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை நம்பி, தன் தேவனைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளக்கடவன்." 

அவருக்குப் பயந்து, அவருடைய சொல்லைக் கேட்டு, வெளிச்சமில்லாததினால் இருட்டிலே நடக்கிற மனிதர்கள்  கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை நம்பி, தங்களை அவருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.  அப்போது, "இருளில் நடக்கிற ஜனங்கள் பெரிய வெளிச்சத்தைக் கண்டார்கள்; மரண இருளின் தேசத்தில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களின்மேல் வெளிச்சம் பிரகாசித்தது." ( ஏசாயா 9 : 2 ) என்ற வார்த்தையின்படி நமக்கும் நடக்கும். 

ஆம், நீ தேடும் நிம்மதி இயேசு தருகிறார்; நீ நாடும் விடுதலை அவரிடமுண்டு.

                PEACE YOU SEEK

"Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God." (Isaiah 50: 10)

Prophet Isaiah was the one who gave the most prophecies about the Lord Jesus Christ. Today's meditation verse is also prophetic advice about Jesus Christ. Light represents God. "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." (1 John 1: 5)

In today's meditation verse, Jesus Christ is referred to as the Servant of God. The Lord says that if one does not yet see the true light of Jesus Christ in himself, that wicked person should believe in him and join with him. That is, he should realize his sins and join Jesus. Because "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." (John 1: 9)

But, according to the verse, "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." (John 3: 20) many people hesitate to come to the light, Jesus.

Jesus Christ does not cast away those who come to Him. So, he makes any man enlightened when he comes to him. That's why today's verse says, “that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God." Because such a man will be enlightened.

But most men hesitate to come to Him who is the true light. The reason is because the men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.(John 3: 19)

Beloved, even if we have billions of possessions in the world, they are no substitute for the true peace that Christ gives. Only He who is light has that peace of mind. Even though we are rich, if we do not have peace of mind, it is necessary for us to reflect on our ways and turn our hearts directly to Him who shall make us a true light. That is why the Lord gives today's advice through Isaiah, “that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God."

People who walk in darkness because of the lack of light, should believe in the name of the Lord and commit themselves to him. Then the words, “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.” (Isaiah 9: 2) will happen to us in our life.

Yes, Jesus gives you the peace you seek; He has the freedom you seek.

பூரணம் / PERFECTION

ஆதவன் 🔥 987🌻 அக்டோபர் 11, 2023 புதன்கிழமை

"நிறைவானது வரும்போது குறைவானது ஒழிந்துபோம்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 13 : 10 )  

இந்த உலகினில் பிறந்த எவருமே குறையில்லாதவர்களல்ல. பொருளாதாரக் குறைவை நான் குறிப்பிடவில்லை; மாறாக, குணங்களிலுள்ள குறைவினைச் சொல்கின்றேன். நாம் நமது குறைவுகளை நிறைவாக்கிட எண்ணுகின்றோம். ஆனால் இந்த உலகத்தின் சூழ்நிலைகள் நம்மை மேலும் மேலும் குறைவுள்ளவர்களாகவே மாற்றுகின்றன. 

இன்று மனிதர்களை மேம்படுத்த பல்வேறு பயிற்சிகளை  பல்வேறு நிறுவனங்கள் அளிக்கின்றன. மனநலப் பயிற்சிகள் (Psychological trainings), ஆற்றுப்படுத்தும் பயிற்சிகள் (Counselling trainings), ஆளுமை மேம்பாட்டுப் பயிற்சிகள் (Personality development trainings ) போன்ற பயிற்சிகள் அளிக்கப்படுகின்றன. ஆனால் இத்தகைய பயிற்சிகள் மனிதர்களுக்கேற்ற ஒரு மனிதனை ஒருவேளை உருவாக்கலாமேத்   தவிர ஒருபோதும் தேவனுக்கேற்ற தேவ மனிதர்களை உருவாக்க முடியாது. 

ஒருவர் தன்னிடமிருப்பதைத்தான் மற்றவருக்குக் கொடுக்க முடியும். தன்னிடமில்லாத குணங்களை புத்தகப் பயிற்சிமூலம் கொடுக்கலாம் என்பது ஏற்புடைய ஒன்றல்ல. மேற்படி பயிற்சியளிப்பவர்கள் அனைவரும் எந்தக் குறையும் இல்லாதவர்களல்ல; இவர்கள் இந்தப் பயிற்சிகளை ஒரு தொழிலாகச் செய்கின்றனர். அல்லது வெளிநாட்டிலிருந்து பெறப்படும் பணத்துக்காகச் செய்கின்றனர்.

நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து மட்டுமே பூரணமானவர். அவரே நம்மை சிறந்த மனிதர்களாக மாற்ற முடியும். அவர் தேவனுடைய சாயலாய் இருந்ததால் மனிதர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்ட மனிதர்களுக்கு ஒப்பாக வேண்டியிருந்தது. தேவனாக இருந்ததால் இந்த விஷயத்தில் அவரிடம் ஒரு குறை இருந்தது. அதாவது, அவர் மனிதர்கள் படும் கஷ்டங்களை தேவனாக இருக்கும்போது அனுபவிக்கவில்லை. எனவே, அவர் மனிதர்களுக்கு ஆறுதலும் தேறுதலும் அளிக்கவேண்டுமென்றால் மனிதர்களைப்போல அவர் துன்பப்படவேண்டியதும் அதன்மூலம் பூரணப்படவேண்டியதும்  அவசியமாய் இருந்தது. எனவே,  அவர் பாடுகள்மூலம் பூரணமடைந்தார். 

"அவர் குமாரனாயிருந்தும் பட்டபாடுகளினாலே கீழ்ப்படிதலைக் கற்றுக்கொண்டு, தாம் பூரணரானபின்பு, தமக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிற யாவரும் நித்திய இரட்சிப்பை அடைவதற்குக் காரணராகி, மெல்கிசேதேக்கின் முறைமையின்படியான பிரதான ஆசாரியர் என்று தேவனாலே நாமம் தரிக்கப்பட்டார்." ( எபிரெயர் 5 : 8- 10 )

எனவே, நாம் முன்பு பார்த்தபடி பூரணமான ஒருவர்தான் மற்றவர்களுக்குப்  பூரணத்தை அளிக்கமுடியும்.  ஆம், பூரணமான நிறைவானவர் கிறிஸ்துவே. எனவே அவர் ஒரு மனிதனுக்குள் வரும்போதுதான் அவன் நிறைவுள்ளவனாக முடியும். இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனம், "நிறைவானது வரும்போது குறைவானது ஒழிந்துபோம்." என்று கூறுகின்றது. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நிறைவான இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நம்மில் வரும்போது மட்டுமே நமது குறைவுகள் ஒழியும். நமது குணங்களிலுள்ள குறைவு, பொருளாதாரக் குறைவு, உடல்நலக் குறைவு எல்லாமுமே  நிறைவான அவர் நம்மில் வரும்போது மாறி நாம் புதியவர்கள் ஆகின்றோம். 

நிறைவான இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை நமது இதயங்களில் வரும்படி வேண்டுவோம்; நமது இருதயத்தை முற்றிலுமாக அவருக்கு ஒப்புவிப்போம். அப்போது இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நம்மில் நிறைவேறுவதை நாம் மட்டுமல்ல, நம்மைச் சுற்றி இருப்பவர்களும் உணர்ந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

                     PERFECTION

"But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." (1 Corinthians 13: 10)

No one born in this world is flawless. By saying like this, I am not referring to economic deficiency; On the contrary, I am talking about deficiency in human qualities. We intend to fill our deficiencies. But the circumstances of this world make us more and more poor in qualities.  

Today various institutes provide various trainings to improve human beings. Psychological trainings, Counselling trainings, Personality development trainings etc. are provided. But such trainings may produce a man fit for men but never God-men.

One can only give to others what he has. It is not acceptable to impart qualities that one does not possess through book practice. Not all these trainers are without flaws; They do organize training programmes as a profession. Or they do it for money received from abroad.

Only our Lord Jesus Christ is perfect. He alone can make us better people. As he was in the image of God, he had to transform as men to guide them. Being God, He had a flaw in this matter. That is, He did not experience human suffering while being God. Therefore, it was necessary for him to suffer and be perfected like men if he was to bring comfort and redemption to men. Therefore, he was perfected through sufferings.

"Though he were a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec." ( Hebrews 5 : 8-10 )

Therefore, as we have seen earlier, only one who is perfect can give perfection to others, Christ is the perfect one to make us perfect. So only when He comes into a man can, he become complete. That is today's meditation verse says, “when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”

Yes beloved, only when the perfect Jesus Christ comes in us will our deficiencies be removed. We will become new and full when He comes in us in qualities, economy, and lack of health.

Let us ask the fullness of Jesus Christ to come into our hearts; Let us surrender our hearts completely to Him. Then, not only we but those around us will realize that today's meditation verse is fulfilled in us.

நீதிமானாகிய லோத்து / LOT, THE RIGHTEOUS

ஆதவன் 🔥 986🌻 அக்டோபர் 10, 2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"கர்த்தர் தேவபக்தியுள்ளவர்களைச் சோதனையினின்று இரட்சிக்கவும், அக்கிரமக்காரரை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளானவர்களாக நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளுக்கு வைக்கவும் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்." ( 2 பேதுரு 2 : 9 )

இன்றைய வசனம் அதிக விளக்கம் இல்லாமலேயே புரியக்கூடிய வசனம். அதாவது தேவன் தேவ பக்தியுள்ளவர்களை சோதனைகளிலிருந்து விடுவிக்கின்றார்; தங்கள் தவறுக்கு மனம் வருந்தி திருந்தாத அக்கிரமக்காரரை அழிகின்றார். 

அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு இதனை விளக்க ஆதியாகமத்திலிருந்து லோத்துவின் வாழ்க்கையினை எடுத்துக்காட்டாகக் கூறுகின்றார். அதனையே இன்றைய வசனத்தின் முத்தின வசனத்தில் நாம், "நாள்தோறும் அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமக்கிரியைகளைக் கண்டு கேட்டு நீதியுள்ள தன்னுடைய இருதயத்தில் வாதிக்கப்பட்ட நீதிமானாகிய லோத்தை அவர் இரட்சித்திருக்க;" ( 2 பேதுரு 2 : 8 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

சோதோம் கொமோரா நகரங்களில் பாவம் மிக அதிகமாக இருந்தது. குறிப்பாக, பாலியல் பாவங்கள். அங்குள்ள மனிதர்கள் ஆண் புணர்ச்சிக்காரர்களாக இருந்தனர். அந்தப் பாவங்களைக் கண்டும் கேட்டும் தன்னுடைய இருதயத்தில் வாதிக்கப்பட்ட நீதிமானாகிய  லோத்து என்று மேற்படி வசனத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். இப்படிப் பாவம் அதிகரித்ததால் தேவன் அந்த நகரங்களை அழிந்திடத் தீர்மானித்தார். ஆனால் அங்கு நீதிமானாகிய லோத்து குடியிருந்தார்.  

எனவே, தேவன் நகரத்தை அழிக்க அனுப்பிய தூதர்கள் லோத்துவிடம் வந்து தேவனுடைய திட்டத்தைச் சொல்லி அங்கிருந்து வெளியேறச் சொன்னார்கள். மட்டுமல்ல, அவன்பொருட்டு  இரத்த சம்பந்தமான அவனது உறவினர்களையும் தேவன் காப்பாற்றத் சித்தம்  கொண்டார். எனவே, "அந்தப் புருஷர் லோத்தை நோக்கி: இவ்விடத்தில் இன்னும் உனக்கு யார் இருக்கிறார்கள்? மருமகனாவது, உன் குமாரராவது, உன் குமாரத்திகளாவது, பட்டணத்தில் உனக்குரிய எவர்களாவது இருந்தால், அவர்களை இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து வெளியே அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போ. நாங்கள் இந்த ஸ்தலத்தை அழிக்கப்போகிறோம்; இவர்கள் கூக்குரல் கர்த்தருடைய சமூகத்தில் பெரிதாயிருக்கிறது; இதை அழிக்கக் கர்த்தர் எங்களை அனுப்பினார் என்றார்கள்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 19 : 12, 13 )

அன்பானவர்களே, ஒட்டுமொத்த நகரத்தையும் அழிக்க தேவன் முயலும்போது அங்கிருந்த ஒரு நீதிமானின் குடும்பத்தைத் தேவன் காப்பாற்ற முயலுகின்றதை நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். எல்லோரும் செய்கின்றார்களே என்று நாமும் ஒரு தவறான பாவமான செயலை நாமும்   செய்யக்கூடாது  எனும் செய்தி இங்கு நமக்குத் தரப்படுகின்றது. 

ஒருவேளை நமது அண்டைவீட்டார், உறவினர்கள் தேவனுக்கு விரோதமான சில செயல்களைச் செய்யலாம்; அவர்கள் உலகச் செழிப்போடு நன்றாக இருக்கலாம். அதைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு நாமும், இப்படிபட்டக் காரியங்கள் செய்யும் அவர்கள் நன்றாகத்தானே இருக்கின்றார்கள், நாமும் அப்படிச் செய்வதில் தவறில்லையே என்று நம்மை நாமே ஏமாற்றிக்கொள்ளக்கூடாது. ஆம், இரண்டு பெரிய நகரங்களில் ஒரே ஒரு நீதிமானாகிய லோத்து மட்டுமே இருந்தான்; அழியாமல் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டான்.  

ஆம், எனவே தேவனது வார்த்தைகளை இருதயத்தில் இருத்தி  நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம். கர்த்தர் தேவபக்தியுள்ளவர்களைச் சோதனையினின்று இரட்சிக்கவும், அக்கிரமக்காரரை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளானவர்களாக நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளுக்கு வைக்கவும் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்.

          LOT,  THE RIGHTEOUS

"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:" ( 2 Peter 2 : 9 )

Today's verse is a verse that can be understood without much explanation. That is, God frees the pious from trials; He destroys the wicked who do not repent of their mistakes.

The apostle Peter cites the example of Lot from Genesis to explain this. That is what we see in the previous verse of today's verse, "For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;" ( 2 Peter 2 : 8 )

Sin was rampant in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Especially, sexual sins. The men there were homosexuals. In the above verse, we read that the righteous Lot was pained in his heart seeing and hearing those sins. God decided to destroy those cities because of the increase in sin. But there lived the righteous Lot.

So, the messengers God sent to destroy the city came to Lot and told him God's plan and asked him to get out of there. Not only that, but God willed to save his blood relatives for his sake. Therefore, the men said to Lot: "Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.” (Genesis 19: 12, 13)

Beloved, when God tries to destroy an entire city, we see God trying to save a righteous family there. Here we are given the message that we should not commit a wrong and sinful act that everyone is doing.

Perhaps our neighbours and relatives may do some things against God; They may be fine with worldly prosperity. After seeing that, we should not deceive ourselves that those who do such things are doing well and hence that there is nothing wrong doing like them. Yes, there was only one righteous Lot in the two great cities; He was saved from perishing.

Yes, so let us guard ourselves with God's words in our hearts. The Lord knows how to save the godly from trial and to reserve the wicked for the day of judgment.

தேவ ஊழியர்களின் வார்த்தைகள் / WORDS OF GOD'S SERVANTS

ஆதவன் 🔥 985🌻 அக்டோபர் 09, 2023 திங்கள்கிழமை

"நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி பவுலினால் சொல்லப்பட்டவைகளைப் பார்க்கிலும் மாலுமியையும் கப்பல் எஜமானையும் அதிகமாய் நம்பினான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 27 : 11 )

கைதியான பவுலையும் அவரோடு வேறு சில கைதிகளையும் ரோமாபுரிக்குக் கப்பலில் கொண்டுசென்றனர். அரசனின் உத்தரவுப்படி யூலியு எனும் நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதியின்  தலைமையில் போர்சேவகர்கள் அவர்களைக் கொண்டு சென்றனர். நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதியான "யூலியு பவுலைப் பட்சமாய் நடப்பித்து, அவன் தன் சிநேகிதரிடத்திலே போய்ப் பராமரிப்படையும்படிக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுத்தான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 27 : 3 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.  ஆம், யூலியு பவுலை மதித்ததால் அவரை நட்புடன் நடத்தினான். 

அந்தக் கடல் பயணம் மிகுந்த துன்பமும் அலைக்களிப்புமுள்ளதாக இருந்தது. புயலையும் கடும் போராட்டத்துடன் கடந்து நல்ல துறைமுகம் எனும் துறைமுகத்தை அடைந்தனர். ஆனால் தேவ எச்சரிப்பு பெற்ற பவுல் நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதியிடம் இதற்குமேல் கடல் பயணம் தற்போது வேண்டாம் என எச்சரித்தார். ஆனால் "நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி பவுலினால் சொல்லப்பட்டவைகளைப் பார்க்கிலும் மாலுமியையும் கப்பல் எஜமானையும் அதிகமாய் நம்பினான்." என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது.

நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி பவுலை நட்புடன் நடத்தினாலும் பவுலைக்குறித்த ஒரு குறைந்த மதிப்பீடே அவனுக்கு இருந்தது. என்ன இருந்தாலும் பவுல் ஒரு சிறைக்கைதி, எளிய தோற்றம் கொண்டவர், கடல் பயணத்தைப்பற்றியும் பருவநிலைகளைப் பற்றியும் எதுவும் தெரியாதவர்.  எனவே அவன் பவுலை நம்பவில்லை.  மாறாக, கப்பல் மாலுமிகள் நல்ல அனுபவம் மிக்கவர்கள்; பல ஆயிரம் மைல் கடல் பயணம் செய்தவர்கள்; காற்றின் போக்கையும் கடலில் அலைகளின் தன்மைகளையும் நன்கு அறிந்தவர்கள்.  எனவே, அவர்கள் கூறுவதுதான் சரியாக இருக்கும் என்று எண்ணினான். 

இன்று உலகில் பலரும் இன்றைய வசனத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி போலவே இருக்கின்றோம். ஊழியர்களைக் கனம் பண்ணுகின்றோம், ஆனால் அவர்கள் மூலம் கூறப்படும் வார்த்தைகளை அலட்சியம் பண்ணுகின்றோம். தேவ வார்த்தைகளையும்; தேவ மனிதர்கள் கூறுவதையும்விட அனுபவமிக்கவர்களது பேச்சையும் திறமையையும் நாம் பலவேளைகளில் நம்புகின்றோம். 

ஆனால் நடந்தது என்ன? யூரோக்கிலித்தோன் எனும் கடும் கற்று கப்பலில் மோதிக்  கப்பலைக் கவிழ்த்துப்போட்டது. ஆனாலும் தேவன் தனது ஊழியனான பவுலைக் கனம் பண்ண விரும்பினார். எனவே கப்பல் சேதமடையுமுன்பே பவுல் மூலம் கப்பலில் பயணம் செய்தவர்களுக்கு ஒரு செய்தியைக் கொடுத்தார். அதனைப் பவுல் மற்றவர்களுக்குக் கூறி தைரியப்படுத்தினார் "என்னை ஆட்கொண்டவரும் நான் சேவிக்கிறவருமான தேவனுடைய தூதனானவன் இந்த இராத்திரியிலே என்னிடத்தில் வந்து நின்று: பவுலே, பயப்படாதே, நீ இராயனுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கவேண்டும், இதோ, உன்னுடனேகூட யாத்திரைபண்ணுகிற யாவரையும் தேவன் உனக்குத் தயவுபண்ணினார் என்றான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 27 : 23, 24 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, ஊழியர்களை மதிக்கின்றோம் என்பது வெறும் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொடுப்பதல்ல. அவர்களது வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசிப்பது; அவற்றை மதித்து நம்மைத் திருத்திக்கொள்வது; சூழ்நிலைகளையும் அனுபவமிக்கவர்களது வார்த்தைகளையும்விட தேவ வார்தைகள்மேல் விசுவாசம் கொள்வது. அப்படி இல்லையானால் நாமும் யூலியு  எனும் நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதிபோலவே இருப்போம். தேவ வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசிப்போம்; நமது வாழ்க்கைக் கப்பல் யூரோக்கிலித்தோன் காற்றினால் கவிழ்ந்துபோகாமல் காத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

       WORDS OF GOD'S SERVANTS

"Nevertheless, the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul." (Acts 27: 11)

They took the prisoner apostle Paul and some other prisoners with them on a ship to Rome, under the command of the king.  Julius, a centurion, escorted Paul with some soldiers. The centurion Julius was friendly to Paul because he respected him. "And Julius courteously entreated Paul, and gave him liberty to go unto his friends to refresh himself." (Acts 27: 3)

The sea voyage was very distressing and stormy. They crossed the storm with a hard struggle and reached the port called Fair Harbour. But Paul, who received God's warning, warned the captain and the centurion, it is not good for further sea voyage at present. But “the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul."

Although the centurion treated Paul in a friendly manner, he had a low opinion of Paul. After all, Paul was a prisoner, a person of modest appearance, ignorant of sea voyages and climate changes. So, he didn't believe Paul. Conversely, sailors are well experienced; who have travelled many thousand miles in sea; those who know well the direction of the wind and the nature of the waves in the sea. Therefore, he thought that what they were saying would be correct.

Many people in the world today are like the centurion mentioned in today's verse. We honour God’s servants but ignore the words spoken through them. Many times, we trust the words and skills of experienced people rather than the words of divine beings.

But what happened? A tempestuous wind called Euroclydon collided with the ship and capsized the ship. But God wanted to honour his servant, Paul. So, before the shipwreck, He gave a message to Paul to inform to those on board. Hence, Paul encouraged others by saying that, "For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee." (Acts 27: 23, 24)

Yes, dear ones, honouring God’s servants is not just giving money and gifts. But, believing their words; respecting them and correcting ourselves; believing in God's words rather than circumstances and the words of experienced people. If not, we will be like Julius the centurion. Let's believe God's words; Let's keep our life ship not being overturned by the tempestuous wind  Euroclydon.

தவறுக்காக தண்டனை / CHASTENING

ஆதவன் 🔥 984🌻 அக்டோபர் 08, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"ஆகையினால், நெகிழ்ந்த கைகளையும் தளர்ந்த முழங்கால்களையும் நீங்கள் திரும்ப நிமிர்த்தி, முடமாயிருக்கிறது பிசகிப்போகாமல் சொஸ்தமாகும்படிக்கு, உங்கள் பாதங்களுக்கு வழிகளைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்துங்கள்." ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 12, 13 )

ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழும் நாம் தேவனால் சிலவேளைகளில் தண்டிக்கப்படுகின்றோம்.  அப்படித் தண்டிக்கப்படுவது தேவன் நம்மை நேசிக்கின்றார் என்பதற்கு அடையாளமாக இருக்கின்றது. அதாவது அவர் நம்மைத் தனது சொந்த பிள்ளைகளாக எண்ணி நடத்துகின்றார் என்று பொருள். "நீங்கள் சிட்சையைச் சகிக்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால் தேவன் உங்களைப் புத்திரராக எண்ணி நடத்துகிறார்; தகப்பன் சிட்சியாத புத்திரனுண்டோ?" ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 7 ) நாம் நமது பிள்ளைகள் தவறு செய்யும்போது தண்டிக்கின்றோம். அப்படித் தண்டியாமல் விடுவோமானால் அந்தப் பிள்ளைகள் நல்ல வழியில் நடக்க முடியாது.

இன்று பெரும்பாலான குடும்பங்களில் ஒன்று அல்லது இரண்டு குழந்தைகள்தான் இருக்கின்றார். எனவே அவர்களுக்குப் பெற்றோர் அதிக செல்லம்கொடுத்து வளர்கின்றார். இதுவே இன்றைய பல குழந்தைகள் பள்ளிகளிலும் சமூகத்திலும் பல்வேறு தவறுகள் செய்து கெட்டு அழிவுறக் காரணமாக இருக்கின்றது. ஆம், சரியானபடி தண்டிக்காத குழந்தைகள் நல்ல வாழ்க்கை வாழ முடியாது. 

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் இந்தப் பின்னணியில்தான் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தப் பன்னிரெண்டாம் அதிகாரம் ஐந்தாம் வசனத்திலிருந்து  தொடர்ந்து வாசித்தால் இது புரியும். 

இப்படித்  தேவனால் தண்டிக்கப்படும்போது நாம் சோர்ந்து போகின்றோம். "ஆகையினால், நெகிழ்ந்த கைகளையும் தளர்ந்த முழங்கால்களையும் நீங்கள் திரும்ப நிமிர்த்தி, முடமாயிருக்கிறது பிசகிப்போகாமல் சொஸ்தமாகும்படிக்கு, உங்கள் பாதங்களுக்கு வழிகளைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்துங்கள்." என்று ஆலோசனை கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

அதாவது தேவன் நம்மைத் தண்டித்ததனால் நாம் சோர்ந்துபோயிருக்கலாம், அப்படிச் சோர்ந்துபோன கைகளையும் முழங்கால்களையும் நாம் நிமிர்த்தி அவை ஒரேயடியாக பிசகிப்போகாமல் இருக்க நமது வழிகளைச் செம்மைப்படுத்தவேண்டும் என்று இந்த வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. ஆம், நமக்குள் நாம் நமது செயல்களைச் சிந்தித்துப் பார்த்து, தேவன் நமக்கு ஏன் இந்தத் தண்டனையைத் தாத்தார்  எனக் கண்டறிந்து நமது வழிகளைத் திருத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். 

நான் சிறுவனாக இருந்தபோது எங்கள் வீட்டுக்கு எதிர்  வீட்டில் ஒரு குடும்பம் வசித்து வந்தது. அந்தக் குடும்பத்தின் தகப்பனார் அந்தக் குழந்தைகள் சிறு தவறு செய்தாலும் கடுமையாகத் தண்டிப்பார். சிலவேளைகளில்  தப்பு செய்யும் தனது குழந்தைகளை காலைமுதல் மலை வரை  உணவு கொடுக்காமல் கட்டி வைத்துவிடுவார். எங்களோடு விளையாட வரும்போது அந்தக் குழந்தைகள், "எங்க அப்பா செத்துப்போயிட்டா நல்லா இருக்கும்" என்று கூறுவதுண்டு. ஆனால் இன்று அனைத்துக் குழந்தைகளும் நல்ல உயர் பதவிகளில் உள்ளனர். இப்போது தங்கள் தகப்பனை உயர்வாகப் பேசுகின்றனர். எங்களது அப்பா எங்களை அப்படி வளர்த்ததால்தான் நாங்கள் இன்று நல்லா இருக்கிறோம்" என்று கூறுகின்றனர்.  

இப்படிக் கூறுவதால் நாம் அனைவரும் மேற்கூறிய முரட்டுத் தகப்பன் போல இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று பொருளல்ல, மாறாக குழந்தைகள் தவறு செய்யும்போது தண்டித்து வளர்க்கவேண்டும். "எந்தச் சிட்சையும் தற்காலத்தில் சந்தோஷமாய்க் காணாமல் துக்கமாய்க் காணும்; ஆகிலும் பிற்காலத்தில் அதில் பழகினவர்களுக்கு அது நீதியாகிய சமாதான பலனைத் தரும்." ( எபிரெயர் 12 : 11 )

தேவன் தண்டிக்கும்போது பொறுமையாய் இருந்து நம்மைத் திருத்திக்கொள்வோம்.

                                    CHASTENING

"Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed." (Hebrews 12: 12,13)

We who live a spiritual life are sometimes punished by God. Being punished like that is a sign that God loves us. It means that He treats us as His own children. "If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" (Hebrews 12: 7) We punish our children when they do wrong. If we don't punish them like that, those children will not be able to walk in a good way.

Most families today have only one or two children. So, parents give them more pampering. This is the reason why many children today make various mistakes in schools and society. Yes, children who are not disciplined properly cannot live a good life.

Today's meditation verse is said in this background. This will be understood if we continue reading this twelfth chapter from the fifth verse.

When we are punished by God like this, we get tired. Hence, it is advised that "make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

This verse says that we may be tired because God has punished us, so we should straighten our tired hands and knees and refine our ways so that they don't crumble. Yes, we should reflect on our actions and find out why God has punished us and correct our ways.

When I was a boy, a family lived opposite to our house. The father of the family would severely punish the children even for minor mistakes. Sometimes he would tie up his errant children without feeding them from morning till night. When the children come to play with us, they say, "It would be better if our father died." But today all children are in good high positions. Now they speak highly of their father. “It is because our father brought us up that way that we are good today."

This does not mean that we should all be like the arrogant father, aforesaid; rather we should discipline and nurture our children when they make mistakes. "Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby." (Hebrews 12: 11)

Let us be patient and correct ourselves when God punishes.
