Christ like

"And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds." ( Acts 26 : 29 )

Paul, the apostle who was on trial in Rome, proclaimed the gospel of Christ even while presenting his case. His speech was able to persuade King Agrippa himself to put his faith in Christ. "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." ( Acts 26 : 28 )

The apostle Paul speaks today's verse as an answer to him. That is, Paul wanted everyone who heard his gospel to become believers in Christ like him.

So far no one born in the world have the courage or quality to speak such words as the apostle Paul. Yes, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." ( 1 Corinthians 11 : 1 ) he said.

Beloved, may not say like Paul today. But how much zealous love he had for Christ can be understood by looking at his life. That love moved him to live for Christ, to imitate Him, and to die for Him.

Today, the life of the Apostle Paul is an example for us. When talking about the life of Christ, some people do not understand his human nature and say, "He is the Son of God, and we cannot live like him. The answer to them is the life and speech of the apostle Paul.

Those who say that Christ is the Son of God and therefore cannot live like Him, can't they have faith on Paul's words "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." and follow him? Many saints have lived on this earth just like us as human beings. But they have dedicated themselves to live a holy life and lived.

Even ordinary worldly people always advise others to "aim higher". How important, then, for us as Christians to have that goal above all else!!!

We must run toward our goal, Christ. We need the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit to run like that. Let our goal be to become like Christ or at least like the Apostle Paul. Let's try to change ourselves and live like that; Let's pray. Lord himself will help us to fulfill our desire.

உள்ளான மனிதன்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 670 ⛪ நவம்பர் 28,  2022 திங்கள்கிழமை

"நீங்கள் அவருடைய ஆவியினாலே உள்ளான மனுஷனில் வல்லமையாய்ப் பலப்படவும்...." ( எபேசியர் 3 : 16 )

நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் இரண்டு மனிதர்களாக உள்ளோம். வெளிப்பார்வைக்கு உலகுக்குத் தெரிவது ஒரு மனிதன்; வெளியுலகுக்குத் தெரியாத இன்னொரு மனிதன் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதர்க்குள்ளும்  மறைமுகமாக இருக்கின்றான். பெரும்பாலான மனிதர்களும்  இரண்டு மனிதர்க்குள்ளும் முரண்பாடு கொண்டவர்களாகவே வாழ்கின்றனர்.

உள்ளான மனிதன் ஆவிக்குரியவன். இன்று உள்ளொன்று வைத்து புறமொன்று பேசும் மனிதர்களே உலகினில் அதிகம். உள்ளான மனிதனில் நாம் எப்படி இருக்கின்றோமோ அப்படியே நம்மை வெளிக்காட்ட முடியுமானால் நாம் பலப்பட்டவர்கள் என்று அர்த்தம். ஆனால், பெரும்பாலும் உள்ளான மனிதன் பொறாமை, காய்மகாரம், பண ஆசை, பாலியல்  அவலட்சணமான எண்ணங்கள், கொண்டவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான். எனவே இவைகளை பலரும் மறைத்து தங்களை நல்லவர்களாக வெளிகாட்டிக்கொண்டு உலகினில் நடமாடுகின்றனர். 

உள்ளான மனிதனே ஆவிக்குரிய மனிதன். நாம் உள்ளான மனிதனில் பலப்படவேண்டியது அவசியம். உலக மனிதர்கள் உள்ளான விஷயங்களில் மோசமானவைகளாக இருந்தாலும்  கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவி உள்ளான மனிதனில் வரும்போது அவர்களை வித்தியாசமானவர்களாக  மாற்றுகின்றார். அவர்கள் ஆவிக்குரியவர்களாக மாறுகின்றனர். அதன்பின்னரே அவர்களது சிந்தனை ஆவிக்குரிய சிந்தனையாக மாறுகின்றது. 

ஆனால், ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழ முயலும் மனிதர்களது நிலைமை பவுலைப்போல சில சிரமங்களுக்குளாக்குகின்றதாக இருக்கின்றது. அவர்கள் உள்ளான மனிதனில் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழ விரும்புபவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். ஆனால் வெளியுலக சூழ்நிலை உள்ளான மனிதனுக்கேற்ற அத்தகைய ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழத் தடைகளைக் கொண்டுவருகின்றது. எனவேதான் பவுல் கூறுகின்றார், "உள்ளான மனுஷனுக்கேற்றபடி தேவனுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்மேல் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறேன்." ( ரோமர் 7 : 22 ) என்று. ஆனால் வெளி உலக சூழ்நிலைகள் பரிசுத்த வாழ்க்கை வாழத் தடையாக பெரிய சவாலாக இருக்கின்றன.

இப்படி இருப்பதால், "நாங்கள் சோர்ந்துபோகிறதில்லை; எங்கள் புறம்பான மனுஷனானது அழிந்தும், உள்ளான மனுஷனானது நாளுக்குநாள் புதிதாக்கப்படுகிறது." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 4 : 16 ). அதாவது, பரிசுத்தனாக வாழ விரும்புவதால், வெளியான மனிதன் நலிவுற்று அழிவதுபோலத் தெரிந்தாலும் உள்ளான மனிதனில் நாளுக்குநாள் புத்துணர்வும், புது உருவாக்குதலும் நடக்கின்றது. இன்றைய வசனத்தில், எபேசு சபை விசுவாசிகள் அனைவரும் அவருடைய ஆவியினாலே உள்ளான மனுஷனில் வல்லமையாய்ப் பலப்பட பிதாவை நோக்கி ஜெபிப்பதாக பவுல் கூறுகின்றார்.  

பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் துணை இல்லாமல் நாம் உள்ளான மனிதனில் வல்லமைப்பட்டு வெளியான மனிதனை மேற்கொள்ள முடியாது.

அன்பானவர்களே, விசுவாசிகளது உலகத் தேவைகளுக்கே முன்னுரிமைகொடுத்து ஜெபிக்கும் இன்றைய ஊழியர்களைப்போல அல்லாமல், பவுல் தனது சபை விசுவாசிகள் இந்த மேலான வாழ்க்கை நிலையை அடைந்திட ஜெபிக்கின்றார். 

இன்று நமக்கு இத்தகைய ஊழியர்கள் வெகு சிலரே இருப்பதால், நாமே நமக்காக ஜெபிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். நமது உள்ளான மனிதன் நாளுக்குநாள் புதிதாக்கப்பட ஜெபிக்கும்போது நமது வாழ்க்கை முரண்பாடில்லாத வாழ்க்கையாக மாறும். உள்ளான மனிதனும் நமது வெளி மனிதனும் ஒன்றுபோல மாறும்போதுதான்  நாம் உலகிற்கு மெய்யானச் சாட்சிகளாக மாறமுடியும்.

Inner Man

"......be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man" ( Ephesians 3 : 16 )

Each of us are really two persons. A man is visible to the world; Another man, unknown to the outside world, lies hidden within every man. That is, the inner man. Most people live in conflict between the two.

The inner man is spiritual man. Today people are behaving differently contrary to expression of their mouth. That is they are acting contrary to their inner man. If we could express ourselves as we are in the inner man, it means that we are strong. But, most of the time, the inner man is jealous, lustful, greedy for money, sexually abusive thoughts etc. So many people hide these and show themselves as good people and walk in the world.

The inner man is the spiritual man. It is necessary to strengthen our inner man. Although the worldly men are bad inwardly, when the Spirit of Christ comes into the inward man, he makes it different. Only then only the inner man become spiritual; Only then does ones thoughts become spiritual.

However, the situation of people trying to live a spiritual life has difficulties as Paul says. The circumstances one live affect the desire to live according to God in the inner man. Yes, world brings obstacles to live such a spiritual life. That is why Paul says, "For I delight in the law of God after the inward man" ( Romans 7 : 22 ). But the circumstances of the outer world are a great challenge to living a holy life.

Because of this Paul writes, "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day." ( 2 Corinthians 4 : 16 ) That is, because we want to live holy, even though the outer man looks like it is decaying and perishing, the inner man is being refreshed and renewed day by day. In today's verse, Paul says that he is praying for all the believers in the church of Ephesus to be strengthened with power in the inner man.

Without the help of the Holy Spirit we cannot be strengthened in the inner man and become the new man.

Beloved, Paul prays for his church believers to reach this higher state of life, unlike the servants of today who give priority to the worldly needs of the believers.

Since we have very few such Christian pastors today, it is necessary for us to pray for ourselves. When we pray for our inner man to be renewed daily, our life becomes a life without conflict. Only when our inner man and our outer man become one can we become true witnesses to the world.

Holy Spirit and Witness Life

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." ( Acts 1 : 8 )

The reason God gives us the Holy Spirit is not to scream and shout, or to say "lapa lapa". The Holy Spirit is given to us so that we may be strengthened and live as witnesses for Christ.

In today's verse, Jerusalem refers to where we are, ie our town or home, Judea refers to the areas around us, and Samaria refers to other ethnic groups. That is, our witnessing life should be reflected in our home, town, neighboring towns and people of other races and finally reflected in the whole world. This is why the Holy Spirit comes on us.

Well, how does the Holy Spirit qualify us? Jesus Christ said, "And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment."( John 16 : 8 ). That is, presence of Holy Spirit in a person is revealed by his sinless life and his righteous deeds. His condemnation of eternal judgment qualifies one to live righteously.

And Jesus Christ said, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." ( John 16 : 13 )

Beloved, the demonstrations of many ministers who claim to have received the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not scriptural. These are tricks they use to make people believe that they are powerful and for collecting more tributes.

He who receives the Holy Spirit will be humble. He will be full of the fruits of the Spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." ( Galatians 5 : 22, 23 )

Beloved, when we pray with real earnestness and desire to live a life of witness to God, we receive the help of the Spirit of power. Otherwise, if we pray for the Holy Spirit to become like famous Christian ministers who are protesting, we will be alienated from Christ.

Lord, God will be gracious to our prayers when we pray for Holy Spirit to help us to be strong in our spiritual life and to live a life of witness to God. True anointing helps us live a life of witness to Christ.

பரிசுத்தஆவியானவரும் சாட்சி வாழ்க்கையும்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 669 ⛪ நவம்பர் 27,  2022 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"பரிசுத்த ஆவி உங்களிடத்தில் வரும்போது நீங்கள் பெலனடைந்து, எருசலேமிலும், யூதேயா முழுவதிலும், சமாரியாவிலும், பூமியின் கடைசிப்பரியந்தமும், எனக்குச் சாட்சிகளாயிருப்பீர்கள்". ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 1 : 8 )

பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரை தேவன் நமக்கு அருளுவதற்குக் காரணம் அலறி கூச்சலிடுவதற்கோ, "லாப லாபா" என்று உளறுவதற்கோ அல்ல.  நாம் பெலனடைந்து கிறிஸ்துவுக்குச் சாட்சியாக வாழவே பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நமக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். 

இன்றைய வசனத்தில் எருசலேம் என்பது நாம் இருக்குமிடத்தை அதாவது நமது ஊர் அல்லது வீட்டைக் குறிக்கின்றது, யூதேயா என்பது நாம்மைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பகுதிகள், சமாரியா என்பது பிற இன மக்களைக்குறிக்கின்றது. அதாவது நமது சாட்சியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை நமது வீட்டிலும், ஊரிலும், பக்கத்து ஊர்களிலும், பிறஇன  மக்களிடமும்  விளங்கி இந்த உலகம் முழுவதிலும் பிரதிபலிக்கவேண்டும். இதற்காகவே பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மிடம் வருகின்றார். 

சரி, எப்படி பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மைத் தகுதிப்படுத்துகின்றார்? "அவர் வந்து, பாவத்தைக்குறித்தும், நீதியைக்குறித்தும், நியாயத்தீர்ப்பைக்குறித்தும், உலகத்தைக் கண்டித்து உணர்த்துவார்."( யோவான் 16 : 8 ) என்று கூறினார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அதாவது ஒருவரிடம் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் இருப்பது பாவமற்ற அவரது வாழ்க்கை, அவரது நீதிச் செயல்கள் மூலம் தெரியவரும். நித்திய நியாயத் தீர்பைக் குறித்து அவர் கண்டித்து உணர்த்துவதால் நீதியாக வாழ ஒருவரைத் தகுதிப்படுத்தும். 

மேலும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார், "சத்திய ஆவியாகிய அவர் வரும்போது, சகல சத்தியத்திற்குள்ளும் உங்களை நடத்துவார்; அவர் தம்முடைய சுயமாய்ப் பேசாமல், தாம் கேள்விப்பட்டவைகள் யாவையுஞ்சொல்லி, வரப்போகிற காரியங்களை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பார்."( யோவான் 16 : 13 )

அன்பானவர்களே, பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் வரங்களைப் பெற்றுளேன் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பல ஊழியர்கள் செய்யும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டங்கள் வேதத்துக்கு ஏற்புடையதையல்ல. தங்களை வல்லமையுள்ளவர்கள் என்று மக்கள் நம்பவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவும், அதிக காணிக்கைகள் வசூலிக்கவும் அவர்கள் செய்யும் தந்திரங்களே இவை.

பரிசுத்த ஆவியைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டவன் தாழ்ச்சியுள்ளவனாக இருப்பான்.  ஆவியின் கனிகள் நிறைந்தவனாக இருப்பான்.  "ஆவியின் கனியோ, அன்பு, சந்தோஷம், சமாதானம், நீடியபொறுமை, தயவு, நற்குணம், விசுவாசம், சாந்தம், இச்சையடக்கம்; இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளுக்கு விரோதமான பிரமாணம் ஒன்றுமில்லை."( கலாத்தியர் 5 : 22, 23 )

அன்பானவர்களே, உண்மையான ஆர்வத்துடன், தேவனுக்குச் சாட்சியான வாழ்க்கை வாழவேண்டும் எனும் ஆசையுடன் ஜெபிக்கும்போது நமக்கு வல்லமையின் ஆவியானவரின் துணை கிடைக்கும். அப்படியில்லாமல் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் செய்யும் பிரபல ஊழியர்களைப் பார்த்து அவர்களைப்போல வரவேண்டுமென்று நாம் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரை வாஞ்த்தோமானால் கிறிஸ்துவைவிட்டு அந்நியப்பட்டுப் போய்விடுவோம். 

ஆண்டவரே நான் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் பெலனடையவும் உமக்குச் சாட்சியான வாழ்க்கை வாழவும் எனக்கு உதவிட உமது பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைத் தந்து என்னை வழிநடத்தும் என்று வேண்டுதல் செய்யும்போது நமது வேண்டுதலின்மேல் தேவன் பிரியுமுள்ளவராக இருப்பார். 

மெய்யான அபிஷேகம், நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குச் சாட்சியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ உதவிடும்.

திரு விருந்து

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 668 ⛪ நவம்பர் 26,  2022 சனிக்கிழமை

"எந்த மனுஷனும் தன்னைத்தானே சோதித்தறிந்து, இந்த அப்பத்தில் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணக்கடவன்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 11 : 28 )

கிறிஸ்துவின் உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் அவர் வருமளவும் உட்கொண்டு அவரது மரணத்தையும் உயிர்ப்பையும்  அறிக்கையிடுவது கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கொடுத்தக் கட்டளை. "என்னை நினைவு கூரும்படி இதைச் செய்யுங்கள்" (லூக்கா 22:19) என்று கூறினார்.  இப்படிச் செய்வது கிறிஸ்து நமக்காகத் தனது உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் பலியாகக் கொடுத்தார் என்பதை விசுவாசித்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அறிக்கையிடுவதாகும். 

ஆனால், இது வெறும் சடங்குபோன்றதல்ல. கிறிஸ்துவின் உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் நாம் உட்கொள்வது மெய்யாகவே கிறிஸ்துவோடு நாம் பங்குள்ளவர்கள் என்று அறிக்கையிடுவதாகும்.  

எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "எந்த மனுஷனும் தன்னைத்தான் சோதித்தறிந்து இந்த ஆப்பத்தில் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணக்கடவன்" என்று கூறுகின்றார். ஆம், கிறிஸ்துவின் உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் உட்கொள்ள நமக்குத் தகுதி இருக்கின்றதா என்று சோதித்து அறிந்து உட்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.  

இப்படிக் கூறும் பவுல் அடிகள், தவறுதலாக அல்லது தகுத்தியில்லாமல் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் உட்கொள்வது நம் உடலையும் பாதிக்கும் என்கின்றார். அதாவது தகுதியில்லாமல் உட்கொள்வது நோய்  ஏற்படக்கூடவும் மரணம் ஏற்படவும் ஏதுவாகலாம் என்கின்றார். "இதினிமித்தம், உங்களில் அநேகர் பலவீனரும் வியாதியுள்ளவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; அநேகர் நித்திரையும் அடைந்திருக்கிறார்கள்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 11 : 30 )

அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவின் மரணத்தையும் உயிர்ப்பையும் நாம் நற்கருணை உண்ணும்போது அறிக்கையிட்டாலும் தகுதியான உள்ளத்துடனும் பரிசுத்தத்துடனும் அதனை நாம் உண்ணுவது தேவையாயிருக்கின்றது.

நான் முன்பு ஆராதனைக்குச் செல்லும் சபைப் போதகர் அப்பமும் ரசமும் கொடுக்குமுன் அனைவருக்கும் தெளிவான விரிவான விளக்கம் கொடுப்பார். அவர் அப்படி விளக்கமளித்தபின்னர் பார்த்தால் பாதிக்குமேற்பட்டவர்கள் அடுத்த முறை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளலாம் என்று திரும்பிவிடுவார்கள். இதுபற்றி ஒருமுறை தனியே அந்த பாஸ்டரிடம் பேசியபோது கூறினார், "கிறிஸ்துவின் உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் உட்கொள்வது விளையாட்டல்ல, வருகின்றவர்கள் அனைவர்க்கும் போதிய விளக்கம் அளிக்காமல் நான் கொடுத்தேனானால் நானும் தேவனுக்குப் பதில்சொல்லியாகவேண்டும்." 

அன்பானவர்களே, இதுவரை தெரியாமல் நாம்  நம்மை ஆராயாமல் கிறிஸ்துவின் உடலையும் இரத்தத்தையும் உட்கொண்டிருந்தால் அவரிடம் மன்னிப்பு வேண்டுவோம். இனி நம்மை நாமே நிதானித்து அறிந்து, நமது மனச்சாட்சி நம்மைக் குற்றமில்லாமல் தீர்த்தால் மட்டுமே உட்கொள்வோம்.

Holy Communion

"But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup." ( 1 Corinthians 11 : 28 )

Todays verse speak about holy communion. Christians are commanded by Jesus Christ to partake of Christ's body and blood as a faith to proclaim his death and resurrection. He said, "Do this in remembrance of me" (Luke 22:19). To do this is to believe and accept and confess that Christ gave His body and blood as a sacrifice for us.

But, it is not just a ritual. Our partaking of Christ's body and blood is truly a declaration that we are partakers of Christ.

That is why the apostle Paul says, "let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup".  Yes, we should test and know whether we are worthy to partake of Christ's body and blood.

Paul is saying that the blows, if we partake of Christ's body and blood, wrongly or unworthily, will affect our body as well. In other words, improper communion can lead to illness and even death. "For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep." ( 1 Corinthians 11 : 30 )

Beloved, although we confess the death and resurrection of Christ when we partake of the Eucharist, it is necessary that we partake of it with a worthy spirit and holiness.

The pastor of the church where I used to go to worship would give a clear and detailed explanation to everyone before giving the communion. After hearing the explanation, almost half of the people would return thinking that they can take it next time. When I asked the pastor about this, he said, "It is not a play thing to partake the body and blood of Christ. If I gave it to all those who came without giving an adequate explanation, I must also be accountable to God."

Beloved, let us ask Him for forgiveness if we have unknowingly participated in communion earlier days without examining ourselves. Henceforth we shall know ourselves soberly, and participate in holy communion only if our conscience clears us without guilt.
