🍒Meditation verse - ஏசாயா 26: 3 / Isaiah 26:3

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,559

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 15, 2025. 💚 வியாழக்கிழமை

"உம்மை உறுதியாய்ப் பற்றிக்கொண்ட மனதையுடையவன் உம்மையே நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நீர் அவனைப் பூரண சமாதானத்துடன் காத்துக்கொள்வீர்." ( ஏசாயா 26: 3)

உலகினில் மனிதர்கள் பெறவேண்டிய மிகப்பெரிய ஆசீர்வாதம் சமாதானம். இந்த சமாதானத்தை நாம் எந்த வழிகளில் அடைந்திட முயல்கின்றோம் என்பதே முக்கியம். இன்று சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி மனிதர்கள் பல்வேறு துன்மார்க்க வழிகளில் முயல்கின்றனர். மதுவைக் குடிப்பதால் சமாதானம் கிடைக்குமென்று எண்ணி மதுவுக்கே அடிமையாகி வாழ்க்கையைத் தொலைத்தவர்கள் அதிகம். இன்னும்பலர் திரைப்படங்கள், கேளிக்கைவிடுதிகளில் சாதானத்தைத் தேடி சற்றுநேர மனச்சமாதானத்தையும் பல்வேறு நோய்களையும் வருவித்துக்கொள்கின்றனர். 

ஆனால் அன்பானவர்களே, கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து மட்டுமே நமக்கு பூரண சமாதானத்தைக் கொடுக்க முடியும். ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கொடுக்கும் சமாதானம் இந்த உலகம் கொடுக்கும் சமாதானத்தைப் போன்றதல்ல. "சமாதானத்தை உங்களுக்கு வைத்துப்போகிறேன், என்னுடைய சாமாதானத்தையே உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன்; உலகம் கொடுக்கிறபிரகாரம் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறதில்லை. உங்கள் இருதயம் கலங்காமலும் பயப்படாமலும் இருப்பதாக." ( யோவான் 14: 27) என்று அவர் கூறவில்லையா?

உயிர்த்தெழுந்த இயேசு கிறிஸ்து சீடர்களுக்கு அளித்த முக்கிய செய்தியே சமாதானம்தான். "வாரத்தின் முதல்நாளாகிய அன்றையத்தினம் சாயங்காலவேளையிலே, சீஷர்கள் கூடியிருந்த இடத்தில், யூதர்களுக்குப் பயந்ததினால் கதவுகள் பூட்டியிருக்கையில், இயேசு வந்து நடுவே நின்று: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் என்றார்." ( யோவான் 20: 19)

"மறுபடியும் எட்டுநாளைக்குப்பின்பு அவருடைய சீஷர்கள் வீட்டுக்குள்ளே இருந்தார்கள்; தோமாவும் அவர்களுடனேகூட இருந்தான்; கதவுகள் பூட்டப்பட்டிருந்தது. அப்பொழுது இயேசு வந்து நடுவே நின்று: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் என்றார்." ( யோவான் 20: 26)

இப்படி அனைவருக்கும் சமாதானமே தேவையாக இருப்பதால் அவர் தனது சீடர்களிடம் எந்த வீட்டினுள் நுழையும்போதும் சமாதான வாழ்த்தைக் கூறும்படிக் கட்டளையிட்டார். "ஒரு வீட்டுக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது அதை வாழ்த்துங்கள். அந்த வீடு பாத்திரமாயிருந்தால், நீங்கள் கூறின சமாதானம் அவர்கள்மேல் வரக்கடவது; அபாத்திரமாயிருந்தால், நீங்கள் கூறின சமாதானம் உங்களிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பக்கடவது.' ( மத்தேயு 10: 12, 13) என்றார். 

உலகப்  பொருட்கள், செல்வங்களில் நாம் பெறும் சமாதானம்  நமக்கு நிரந்தரமாக சாதானத்தைத் தருவதில்லை. மிகப்பெரிய கோடீஸ்வரர்கள் பலர் மனச் சமாதானமில்லாமல் தற்கொலை செய்து மடிவதை நாம் பத்திரிகைச் செய்திகளில் வாசிக்கின்றோமே? ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதனால்தான் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம், "உம்மை உறுதியாய்ப் பற்றிக்கொண்ட மனதையுடையவன் உம்மையே நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நீர் அவனைப் பூரண சமாதானத்துடன் காத்துக்கொள்வீர்" என்று. எனவே மெய்யான சமாதானம் நமக்கும் நமது குடும்பத்துக்கும் வேண்டுமானால் நாம் சமாதானக்  காரணரான கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை உறுதியாகப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. 

நோய்கள், கடன்பாரங்கள், பண நெருக்கடிகள், எதிர்காலத்தைப்பற்றிய பயம், நமது குழந்தைகளின் படிப்பு, வேலைவாய்ப்பு, திருமணம் என நமக்குச் சமாதானக் குறைவைத் தரும் எந்த காரியமாக இருந்தாலும்  கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் பாதத்தில் அவற்றை விசுவாசத்துடன் ஒப்படைப்போம். நிச்சயமாக அவரது பிள்ளைகளை அவர் பூரண சாமாதானத்தால் காத்துக்கொள்வார்.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah 26:3, KJV)

One of the greatest blessings a person can receive in this world is peace. The most important question is: In what ways are we trying to attain this peace? Today, in search of peace, people resort to various unrighteous means. Many believe they can find peace through alcohol, only to become enslaved by it and ruin their lives. Others seek temporary mental relief and peace in movies and entertainment centres, which often leave them with more emotional and physical afflictions.

But beloved, it is only the Lord Jesus Christ who can give us perfect peace. The peace that Jesus Christ gives is not like the peace the world offers. Didn’t He say:

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
(John 14:27, KJV)

The very first message that the risen Jesus gave to His disciples was one of peace.

"Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you." (John 20:19, KJV)

"And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you." (John 20:26, KJV)

Because peace is essential for everyone, He even instructed His disciples to bless every house they entered with peace:

"And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you." (Matthew 10:12–13, KJV)

The peace that worldly possessions and wealth offer is not permanent. Haven’t we often read in the news about millionaires taking their own lives due to lack of peace?

Yes, dear ones, this is why today's meditation verse says:

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah 26:3, KJV)

If we desire true peace for ourselves and our families, it is essential that we firmly hold on to the Lord Jesus Christ—the Prince of Peace.

Be it sickness, debt, financial crisis, fear of the future, our children’s education, employment, or marriage—whatever may be robbing us of our peace, let us surrender it in faith at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ. Surely, He will keep His children in perfect peace.

🍒Meditation verse - தீத்து 2: 14 / Titus 2:14

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,558

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 14, 2025. 💚 புதன்கிழமை

"அவர் நம்மைச் சகல அக்கிரமங்களினின்று மீட்டுக்கொண்டு, தமக்குரிய சொந்த ஜனங்களாகவும், நற்கிரியைகளைச்செய்ய பக்திவைராக்கியமுள்ளவர்களாகவும் நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்படி, நமக்காகத் தம்மைத்தாமே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்." ( தீத்து 2: 14)

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உலகினில் மனிதனாக அவதரித்து, பாடுகள்பட்டு மரணமடைந்து உயிர்த்தது  மனுக்குலத்துக்கு மீட்பினைக் கொண்டுவந்தது. இதனால்தான்  நாம் அவரது சொந்த மக்களாக மாறும் வாய்ப்பினைப் பெற்றுள்ளோம். 

மேலும், அவரது இரத்தம் நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பது மட்டுமல்லாமல்  நாம் நற்செயல்புரிய நம்மைத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாகவும் மாற்றுகின்றது. காரணம்,  பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படுவது மட்டுமல்ல, இந்த உலகினில் நாம் நற்செயல்கள் செய்து அவருக்கேற்ற கனிகொடுக்கின்றவர்களாக மாறவேண்டியதும் அவசியமாகும். இதனால்தான் இயேசு,  "நானே திராட்சச்செடி, நீங்கள் கொடிகள். ஒருவன் என்னிலும் நான் அவனிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால், அவன் மிகுந்த கனிகளைக் கொடுப்பான்; என்னையல்லாமல் உங்களால் ஒன்றும் செய்யக்கூடாது." (யோவான் 15:5) என்று கூறினார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, வெறுமனே நமது பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பதுடன் அவர் நின்றுவிடுவதில்லை. மாறாகத் தொடர்ந்து நாம் அவருக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழவும் அவர் நமக்கு உதவிசெய்கின்றார். இதற்காகவே தம்மைத்தாமே நமக்காக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

இன்று பல கிறிஸ்தவர்களும் என்றோஒருநாள்  அவர்களது வாழ்க்கையில் பெற்றுக்கொண்ட பாவமன்னிப்பு அனுபவத்தைச் சொல்லிச்சொல்லி வாழ்கின்றார்களேத்தவிர அதற்கு மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய வளர்ச்சியற்றவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர். மனம்திரும்புதல், விசுவாசம், ஞானஸ்நானம், மரித்தோரின் உயிர்த்தெழுதல், நித்திய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு இவை கிறிஸ்தவத்தின் அடிப்படை அஸ்திபார உபதேசங்கள். காலம்முழுவதும் இவைகளைச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டிராமல் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவைப்போல பூரணராக மாறவேண்டும். இந்தப் பூரணம் கிறிஸ்துவோடு நாம் கொள்ளும் ஐக்கியத்தில் மட்டுமே சாத்தியமாகும்.

எனவேதான் எபிரெய நிருப ஆசிரியர், "ஆகையால், கிறிஸ்துவைப்பற்றிச் சொல்லிய மூல உபதேசவசனங்களை நாம்விட்டு, செத்த கிரியைகளுக்கு நீங்கலாகும் மனந்திரும்புதல், தேவன்பேரில் வைக்கும் விசுவாசம், ஸ்நானங்களுக்கடுத்த உபதேசம், கைகளை வைக்குதல், மரித்தோரின் உயிர்த்தெழுதல், நித்திய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு என்பவைகளாகிய அஸ்திபாரத்தை மறுபடியும் போடாமல், பூரணராகும்படி கடந்து போவோமாக." ( எபிரெயர் 6: 1, 2) என்று எழுதுகின்றார். 

இயேசு எப்படிப் பூரணரானார்? "அவர் குமாரனாயிருந்தும் பட்டபாடுகளினாலே கீழ்ப்படிதலைக் கற்றுக்கொண்டு, தாம் பூரணரானபின்பு, தமக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிற யாவரும் நித்திய இரட்சிப்பை அடைவதற்குக் காரணராகி," ( எபிரெயர் 5: 8, 9) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது பாடுகளைச் சகித்து, பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து பூரணரானார். இப்படியே  நாம் அவருக்குரிய சொந்த ஜனங்களாகம் மாறவேண்டும். நற்கிரியைகளைச்செய்ய பக்திவைராக்கியமுள்ளவர்களாக வாழவேண்டும். இப்படி நாம் வாழ நம்மைச் சுத்திகரித்து அவரில் வளரும்படி  நமக்காகத் தம்மைத்தாமே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் பாவ மன்னிப்பு பெற்ற அனுபவம் மட்டும் போதாது. நாம் முற்றிலும் அவருக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்களாக மாறவேண்டும். பாவத்தை மேற்கொள்ளும் பலம் பெற்றவர்களாக மாறவேண்டும்; அவரைப்போல பூரணம் அடைந்திடவேண்டும். கிறிஸ்துவோடுள்ள ஐக்கியமே இவற்றை நமது வாழ்வில் நாம் பெற்றிட உதவிசெய்து  நம்மைப்  பூரணப்படுத்தும். எனவே எந்த வேளையிலும் அவரைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்திடாமல் வாழ்வோம். மூல அஸ்திபார உபதேசங்களையே வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் கூறிக்கொண்டிராமல் அவர்மேல் கட்டப்பட்ட ஆலயமாக நம்மை மாற்றுவோம்.

“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14)

Jesus Christ, by becoming a man, suffering, dying, and rising again, brought salvation to mankind. Because of this, we have received the privilege of becoming His own people.

Moreover, His blood not only purifies us but also transforms us into people who are capable of doing good works. The forgiveness of sins is not the end goal; it is also essential that we bear fruit through righteous deeds in this world, pleasing unto Him. That is why Jesus said:

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5, KJV)

Yes, beloved, He does not stop with just forgiving our sins. Rather, He continues to help us live a life that is pleasing to Him. This is why today's meditation verse says that He gave Himself for us—to redeem us, to purify us, and to make us a people who are zealous of good works.

Today, many Christians speak often of the experience of forgiveness they received at some point in their lives. However, they remain stagnant in their spiritual growth beyond that experience. Repentance, faith, baptism, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment—these are the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith. But instead of continually circling around these basics, we must grow to become complete like Christ. Such completeness is possible only through union with Christ. That is why the author of Hebrews writes:

“Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” (Hebrews 6:1–2, KJV)

How did Jesus become perfect? “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;” (Hebrews 5:8–9, KJV)

That is, He became perfect by enduring suffering and being completely obedient to God the Father. In the same way, we must become His own peculiar people, living with reverence, zealous of good works. To make us such, He gave Himself for us and purifies us so we can grow in Him.

Yes, beloved, the experience of receiving forgiveness is not sufficient. We must wholly become His. We must become people who have power over sin and reach completeness as He did. It is only through our union with Christ that these things are made possible in our lives and we are perfected.

Therefore, let us live in such a way that we are never separated from Him. Let us not keep speaking only about the foundational teachings all our life, but rather become temples built upon Him, the cornerstone.

🍒Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 37: 25 / Psalm 37:25

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,557

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 13, 2025. 💚 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"நான் இளைஞனாயிருந்தேன், முதிர்வயதுள்ளவனுமானேன்; ஆனாலும் நீதிமான் கைவிடப்பட்டதையும், அவன் சந்ததி அப்பத்துக்கு இரந்து திரிகிறதையும் நான் காணவில்லை." ( சங்கீதம் 37: 25)

சில சம்பவங்கள் நடைபெறும்போது நம்மில் பலரும்,  "என் வாழ்நாளில் இத்தகைய காரியத்தை நான் கண்டதும் இல்லை; கேள்விப்பட்டதுமில்லை என்று கூறுவதுண்டு. உதாரணமாக, 2004 ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தியப் பெருங்கடலில் ஏற்பட்ட ஆழிப்பேரலை (சுனாமி) இந்தியா உட்பட 14 நாடுகளில் 2,30,000 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மக்களது உயிரைப் பலிகொண்டது. இது வரலாற்றில் மிகக்கொடிய இயற்கை பேரழிவுகளில் ஒன்றாகும். அப்போது, நம்மில் வயதான மனிதர்கள், "என் வாழ்நாளில் இத்தகைய பெரிய அழிவை நான் கண்டதே இல்லை" என்று கூறினர். 

வயதான மனிதர்கள் ஆழிப்பேரலையைக் குறித்துக் கூறியது எத்தகைய உண்மையோ அதுபோன்ற உண்மையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் தாவீது கூறுவது. அதாவது, எனது வாழ்நாளில் நான் நீதிமான் கைவிடப்பட்டதையும், அவன் சந்ததி அப்பத்துக்கு இரந்து திரிகிறதையும் நான் காணவில்லை என்கின்றார் தாவீது. இதன் பொருள் நீதிமான் தேவனால் கைவிடப்படுவதில்லை என்பதே. ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "நீதிமான்கள் தங்கள் பிதாவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே சூரியனைப்போலப் பிரகாசிப்பார்கள்". (மத்தேயு 13:43) என்று கூறினார். பிதாவின் ராஜ்யத்தில் சூரியனைப்போல பிரகாசிக்கும் நீதிமான்களின் சந்ததியும் அதுபோலவே  ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும். 

நீதிமான்கள்மேல் தேவன் தனிக்கவனமுடன் இருக்கின்றார். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பேதுரு,  "கர்த்தருடைய கண்கள் நீதிமான்கள்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது, அவருடைய செவிகள் அவர்கள் வேண்டுதலுக்குக் கவனமாயிருக்கிறது; தீமை செய்கிறவர்களுக்கோ   கர்த்தருடைய  முகம் விரோதமாயிருக்கிறது". (1 பேதுரு 3:12) என்கின்றார். 

ஒரு புகழ்பெற்றத் தனியார் நிறுவனத்தில் ஒரு நேர்மையான அதிகாரி இருந்தார். அவர் அந்த நிறுவன வளர்ச்சிக்கு மிகவும் முக்கிய காரணராக இருந்தார். மிக நேர்மையான அதிகாரி அவர். பல ஆண்டுகள் கழிந்துவிட்டன. அந்த அதிகாரி பணிநிறைவுபெற்று பின்னர் சில ஆண்டுகளில் இறந்துபோனார். ஆனால் அந்த நிறுவனம் வளர்ந்து மிகப்பெரிய நிறுவனமாக மாறிவிட்டது. அந்த நிறுவனத்தில் பணியாளர்கள் தேர்வு நடைபெற்றபோது அந்த நேர்மையான அதிகாரியின் பேரனும் விண்ணப்பித்திருந்தான். அவனோ, மிகச் சாதாரண படிப்புதான் படித்திருந்தான். ஆனால் விண்ணப்பப் படிவத்தில் தனது தாத்தா இந்த நிறுவனத்தில் பணிபுரிந்ததைப்  பற்றிக்  குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தான். 

அவன் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்த தகவல் உண்மையா என  நிறுவனத்தின் பழைய ஆவணங்களை சோதித்துப் பார்த்தபோது அது உண்மை எனவும் அவரது சாதனைகளைப் பற்றியும், அந்த நிறுவன வளர்ச்சியில் அவர் முக்கிய பங்குவகித்ததையும் கண்டுகொண்டனர். உடனேயே அவனுக்கு அந்த நிறுவனத்தில் மிகச் சிறப்பான பதவியைக் கொடுத்தனர். உனது தாத்தா நிறுவன வளர்ச்சிக்குச் செய்த பங்களிப்பை இந்த நிறுவனம் மறந்துவிடவில்லை என்றும், அவரது பேரனான நீங்களும் நிச்சயம் அவரைப்போல இருப்பீர்கள் என நாங்கள் நம்புகின்றோம் என்றும்   நியமன ஆணையில் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தனர். 

ஆம்  அன்பானவர்களே, இந்த உலகிலுள்ள ஒரு சாதாரண நிறுவனம் தன்னிடம் உண்மையாகப் பணியாற்றிய முன்னாள் பணியாளரை மதித்து அவரது சந்ததியை ஏற்ற பணியில் அமர்த்தியது என்றால் நமது  தேவன்  தனக்குமுன் நீதிமானாக வாழ்ந்த மனிதனது சந்ததியைக் கைவிடுவாரா? நிச்சயமாகக் கைவிடமாட்டார். நமது ஒவ்வொரு செயலையும் அவர் நினைவில் கொண்டுள்ளார். 

எனவே, தேவனுக்கேற்ற நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். நாமும் நமது சந்ததியும் எப்போதும் தேவனால் கைவிடப்படமாட்டோம்.

"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." (Psalm 37:25 – KJV)

There are times when, in the face of significant events, many of us exclaim, “In all my life, I have never seen anything like this; I’ve never even heard of such a thing!” For instance, in 2004, the Indian Ocean tsunami—one of the deadliest natural disasters in history—claimed the lives of more than 230,000 people across 14 countries, including India. At that time, many elderly people said, “In my lifetime, I’ve never witnessed such a massive disaster.”

Just as their statement about the tsunami was a fact based on their lived experience, King David expresses a similar truth in today’s meditation verse. He says, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” This highlights a profound truth: God never forsakes the righteous.

The Lord Jesus Christ also affirmed, "Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father." (Matthew 13:43 – KJV)

The descendants of such righteous ones—who shine like the sun in the Kingdom of God—will also be blessed.

God watches over the righteous with special care. That is why the Apostle Peter declared, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." (1 Peter 3:12 – KJV)

Let me share a real-life story. In a renowned private company, there once served an honest and upright officer who played a key role in the growth of that organization. He was known for his integrity. Many years passed. After his retirement, he eventually passed away. The company continued to thrive and expand.

Later, during a recruitment process, his grandson applied for a job. Though he had only modest educational qualifications, he mentioned in his application that his grandfather had worked for the same company. Curious to verify, the management reviewed old records. To their surprise, they found it true. Not only that, they also learned of the officer’s valuable contributions to the company’s progress. Immediately, they offered the grandson a prestigious position.

In the appointment letter, they wrote, “This company has not forgotten the contribution your grandfather made toward its development. We believe that you, his grandson, will also reflect his legacy.”

Beloved, if a worldly organization can honour the memory of a sincere employee and bless his descendants, how much more will our righteous God remember the seed of a man who lived uprightly before Him? Surely, He will never forsake them. He remembers every act of righteousness.

So let us surrender ourselves to live a godly, righteous life that pleases Him. Then, both we and our descendants shall never be forsaken by the Lord.

🍒Meditation verse - யோவான் 1: 12 / John 1:12

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,556

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 12, 2025. 💚திங்கள்கிழமை

"அவருடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் விசுவாசமுள்ளவர்களாய் அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டவர்கள் எத்தனை பேர்களோ, அத்தனை பேர்களும் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகும்படி, அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரங்கொடுத்தார்." ( யோவான் 1: 12)

எல்லா பெயருக்கும் மேலான பெயரை ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு பிதாவாகிய தேவன் அளித்துள்ளார் என்றும்,  இயேசு எனும் பெயரின் மகத்துவத்தையும் குறித்து நேற்றைய தியானத்தில் தியானித்தோம்.  இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அந்தப் பெயரின்மேல் நாம் விசுவாசம் கொள்ளும்போது அவரது சொந்தப் பிள்ளைகளாகின்றோம் என்றும்  வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

தாய் தகப்பனுக்கும் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் ஒரு உறவு உண்டு. அந்த உறவே அவர்களைக் குடும்பமாக சேர்ந்து வாழ வகைசெய்துள்ளது. நாம் ஒருவருடன் எவ்வளவுதான் நெருக்கமாகப் பழகினாலும் குடும்ப உறவினருக்குள் இருக்கும் நெருக்கம் மற்றவர்களோடு இருப்பதில்லை. நமது ஒருசில நண்பர்கள் குடும்ப உறவினர்களைவிட நம்மோடு அதிக நெருங்கியவர்களாக இருந்தாலும் சட்டபூர்வமாகச்  சில காரியங்களுக்கு குடும்ப உறவினர்களையே  நாம் பயன்படுத்தமுடியும். 

ஒரு தகப்பனின் சொத்துக்களுக்கு அவரது பிள்ளைகள்தான் உரிமைகோர முடியுமேத்தவிர மற்றவர்கள் எத்தனை நெருங்கியவர்களாக இருந்தாலும்  அவர்களுக்கு எந்த உரிமையும் இருப்பதில்லை.  கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின்மேல் நாம் விசுவாசம்கொண்டு அவரை இரட்சகராக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது நாம் அவரது பிள்ளைகளாகின்றோம். அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டவர்கள் எத்தனை கோடி மக்களாக இருந்தாலும் அத்தனை பேர்களும் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளே. 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் விசுவாசம் கொள்வது என்பது வெறுமனே அவரை நம்புவதல்ல. காரணம்,  உலகிலுள்ள கோடிக்கணக்கான கிறிஸ்தவர்களும் அவரை நம்புகின்றனர்.  மெய்யான விசுவாசம் என்பது அவரை நாம் நம்புவதை செயலில் காண்பிப்பதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. அவர் கூறியபடி, அவரது இரத்தத்தால் நமது பாவங்கள் கழுவப்படும் அனுபவத்தைப் பெறும்போதே நாம் அவரது பிள்ளைகளாகின்றோம். இப்படிப் பாவங்கள் கழுவப்பட்ட    அத்தனை பேர்களும் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகும்படி, அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரங் கொடுக்கின்றார். 

இந்த அதிகாரம் என்பது  தேவனுக்குரிய அனைத்துக் காரியங்களிலும் உரிமையை அவரிடமிருந்து நாம் பெறுவதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படுவது மட்டுமல்ல, தொடர்ந்து நாம் அவரோடு ஐக்கியத்தில் வாழவேண்டியதும்  அவசியம். அப்படி ஐக்கியத்தில் வாழ்வதையே அவர் விரும்புகின்றார். அப்படி நாம் வாழும்போது  "மகனே, நீ எப்போதும் என்னோடிருக்கிறாய், எனக்குள்ளதெல்லாம் உன்னுடையதாயிருக்கிறது." ( லுூக்கா 15: 31) என்று நம்மைப்பார்த்தும் அவர் கூறுவார். இதுவே பிள்ளைகளுக்குள்ள அதிகாரம். 

நாம் எப்போதும் அவரோடு இணைந்திருக்க வேண்டியது அவசியம். இந்த உலகினில் சில ஊதாரி மகன்களை குடும்பத்தைவிட்டே ஒதுக்கிவைப்பதை நாம் பார்க்கலாம். காரணம் அவர்கள் எந்தப் பொறுப்புணர்வுமின்றி குடித்துக் குடித்தே அழிந்து குடும்பத்தின் பெயரையும் கெடுத்து அழிந்து போகின்றனர். 

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவில் விசுவாசத்தோடும் நமது பாவங்களை அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு பாவ மன்னிப்புப் பெற்று தொடர்ந்து அவரோடு ஐக்கியத்திலும் வாழ்வோம். இப்படி வாழும்  அத்தனை பேர்களும் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகும்படி, அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரங்கொடுக்கின்றார் என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி அவர் நம்மைத் தமது பிள்ளைகளாக அங்கீகரித்துக்கொள்வார்.

AATHAVAN 💚 May 12, 2025 💚 Monday

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12, KJV)

In yesterday’s meditation, we reflected on the greatness of the name of Jesus, and how God the Father has given Him a name above every name. Today’s verse teaches us that when we believe in that name, we are given the right to become His very own children.

There is a unique bond between parents and their children. It is this bond that brings them together as a family. No matter how close we may be with others, the intimacy found within family relationships cannot be found elsewhere. Even if certain friends are closer to us than our own relatives, when it comes to legal matters, it is our family who hold rightful standing.

Only a father’s children can claim inheritance from him; no matter how close others may be, they have no right to it. In the same way, when we believe in Christ Jesus and accept Him as our Savior, we become His children. No matter how many millions receive Him, all of them become the children of God.

Believing in Jesus Christ is not merely an intellectual agreement or casual belief. After all, there are millions of Christians in the world who claim to believe in Him. True faith is seen in how we live—it is shown through action. As He said, when we experience the cleansing of our sins through His blood, then we truly become His children. To all who have experienced this cleansing, He gives the power—that is, the authority—to become the children of God.

This authority refers to the right we receive from God to partake in all that belongs to Him. Yes, dear ones, our sins are not only forgiven, but we are also called to live in continual union with Him. He longs for us to live in such fellowship with Him. When we do so, He will say of us as the father said to his elder son: "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine." (Luke 15:31, KJV) This is the privilege of being His children.

It is crucial that we remain always united with Him. In this world, we sometimes see wayward sons who are cut off from their families because of their irresponsible, destructive behaviour—drunkenness and a lack of discipline that bring ruin to the family’s name.

Therefore, beloved, let us confess our sins with faith in Christ, receive forgiveness, and live in continuous fellowship with Him. To all who live this way, He grants the authority to become the children of God. Just as the Scripture says, He will accept us and acknowledge us as His own.

🍒Meditation verse - பிலிப்பியர் 2: 11 / Philippians 2:11

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,555

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 11, 2025. 💚ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு மகிமையாக இயேசுகிறிஸ்து கர்த்தரென்று நாவுகள் யாவும் அறிக்கைபண்ணும்படிக்கும், எல்லா நாமத்திற்கும் மேலான நாமத்தை அவருக்குத் தந்தருளினார்." ( பிலிப்பியர் 2: 11)

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை அறிக்கைபண்ணும்போது நாம் பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு மகிமையைச் செலுத்துகின்றோம் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. காரணம், அப்படி பிதாவாகிய தேவன் மகிமைப்படும்படிக்கு எல்லா பெயருக்கும் மேலான பெயரை ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு அவர் அளித்துள்ளார் என்று இந்த வசனம் நமக்குக் கூறுகின்றது.

சங்கீத ஆசிரியர் கூறுகின்றார், "அவர்கள் கர்த்தரின் நாமத்தைத் துதிக்கக்கடவர்கள்; அவருடைய நாமம் மாத்திரம் உயர்ந்தது; அவருடைய மகிமை பூமிக்கும் வானத்திற்கும் மேலானது." ( சங்கீதம் 148: 13) ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இந்த மகிமையை விண்வெளிக்குச் சென்றுவந்த பல்வேறு விண்வெளிவீரர்களும் அறிக்கையிட்டுள்ளனர். வேதாகமம் கூறும் சத்தியங்கள் பவற்றையும் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டதாகக் கூறியுள்ளனர்.  விண்வெளிக்குச் சென்றுவந்தபின்னர் கிறிஸ்துவின்மேலுள்ள விசுவாசம் அவர்களில் உறுதிப்பட்டுள்ளது என்று பலரும் கூறியுள்ளனர். ஆம், "அவருடைய மகிமை பூமிக்கும் வானத்திற்கும் மேலானது."

எல்லா நாமத்துக்கு மேலான நாமம் என்பதால் மூவுலகத்தோரும் அவருக்குமுன் முழங்கால்களை முடக்குவார்கள். "இயேசுவின் நாமத்தில் வானோர் பூதலத்தோர் பூமியின் கீழானோருடைய முழங்கால் யாவும் முடங்கும்படிக்கு" ( பிலிப்பியர் 2: 10) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். அப்படி முடங்கத்தக்கதான மேலான நாமத்தை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பெற்றுள்ளார். எனவேதான் நாம் அவரது பெயரைக் கேட்டவுடன் அச்சுத ஆவிகள் அலறி ஓடுவதைக் காண்கின்றோம். 

மட்டுமல்ல, உலகத்தின் எந்த அதிகாரமும் அவரது பெயருக்கு எதிர்த்து நிற்கமுடியாது. காரணம், "எல்லாத் துரைத்தனத்துக்கும், அதிகாரத்துக்கும், வல்லமைக்கும், கர்த்தத்துவத்துக்கும், இம்மையில் மாத்திரமல்ல மறுமையிலும் பேர்பெற்றிருக்கும் எல்லா நாமத்துக்கும் மேலாய் அவர் உயர்ந்திருக்கத்தக்கதாக," ( எபேசியர் 1: 20) அவரது பெயர் உயர்ந்திருக்கின்றது. ஆனால் கிறிஸ்தவர்களாகிய நாம் பலவேளைகளில் இதனை உணர்வதில்லை. 

உலக காரியங்கள் முதலில் தோல்விபோல நமக்குத் தெரியலாம், ஆனால் நாம் அவருக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்வு வாழ்வோமென்றால் அவரது பெயரின் வல்லமை நமது வாழ்வில் செயல்படுவதை நாம் கண்டுணரலாம். அதுபோல, இந்திய நாட்டில் நாம் சிறுபான்மையோராக இருக்கலாம், ஆனால் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் பார்வையில் நாம் சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களல்ல. இந்த இரண்டாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளில் எத்தனையோ எதிர்ப்புகளையும் தாண்டி கிறிஸ்தவம் நிலைநிற்கின்றதென்றால் அது கிறிஸ்துவின் பெயரின் வல்லமையால்தான். 

கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு எதிராக நாட்டில் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் நடைபெறும் தாக்குதல்கள் நம்மை பயமுறுத்துவதாக அல்ல; மாறாக,  நமது விசுவாசத்தை நாம் வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள உதவுவனவாக  இருக்கவேண்டும். பத்திரிக்கைச் செய்திகளைக் கவனமாக நாம் வாசித்து வருவோமென்றால் எதிரிகளின் மாற்றத்தை நாம் கண்டுகொள்ளலாம்.  கிறிஸ்துவை எதிர்த்த பல வடமாநில கிராமங்கள் மனம்திரும்பி அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டவர்களாக  மாறுவதை நாம்  கண்டுகொள்ளலாம். அதுதான் அவரது பெயரின் வல்லமை.

வல்லமையான கிறிஸ்துவின் பெயருக்குமுன் நம்மைத் தாழ்த்தி அவருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வாழ்வோம். பெயர்க்கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கையல்ல, மாறாக அவரது வல்லமையை உணர்ந்து மனம்திரும்பியவர்களாக வாழ்வோம். காரணம் யாராக இருந்தாலும் மனம்திரும்பாதபட்சச்தில், "இந்தக் கல்லின்மேல் விழுகிறவன் நொறுங்கிப்போவான்; இது எவன்மேல் விழுமோ அவனை நசுக்கிப்போடும்.." ( மத்தேயு 21: 44) என்கின்றார் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. கிறிஸ்துவின் வல்லமையை நாம் புகழும்போது அதற்கு அஞ்சி வாழவேண்டியதும் அவசியம்.

“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” – Philippians 2:11 (KJV)

Today's meditation verse reminds us that when we confess Jesus Christ as Lord, we bring glory to God the Father. The reason is this: in order that the Father might be glorified, He has given Jesus Christ a name which is above every name.

The Psalmist says, “Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.” – Psalm 148:13 (KJV). Yes, beloved, even astronauts who have travelled into space have acknowledged this glory. Many have testified to clearly understanding the truths proclaimed in the Bible, and upon returning from space, their faith in Christ has only deepened. Truly, “His glory is above the earth and heaven.”

Because Jesus bears the name above every name, all beings in the three realms shall bow before Him. “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” – Philippians 2:10 (KJV). This verse assures us that Jesus has been given such a name that causes every knee to bow. That’s why, even today, when His name is declared, we witness evil spirits flee in fear.

Not only that, no earthly authority can stand against His name. As Scripture says, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.” – Ephesians 1:21 (KJV). His name is exalted above all. Yet, as Christians, we often fail to fully grasp this truth.

In the eyes of the world, it may sometimes appear that we are losing, but if we live a life that is pleasing to Him, we will witness the power of His name at work in our lives. Similarly, even if we are a minority in India, we are not insignificant in the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ. If Christianity has endured for over two thousand years, despite relentless opposition, it is only because of the power in Christ’s name.

The attacks on Christians in various parts of our nation should not cause us fear. Rather, they should help us grow in faith. If we pay close attention to the news, we will notice even the transformation of our enemies. Many villages in North India, once opposed to Christ, have turned to Him in faith. This is the power of His name.

Let us humble ourselves before the powerful name of Christ and surrender to Him. Let us not live a life of nominal Christianity, but instead, let us be truly transformed, experiencing His power. For the Lord Jesus Himself said, “Whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.” – Matthew 21:44 (KJV). When we praise the power of Christ, we must also live in reverence before it.

🍒Meditation verse - யோவான் 12: 43 / John 12:43

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,555

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 10, 2025. 💚சனிக்கிழமை

"அவர்கள் தேவனால் வருகிற மகிமையிலும் மனுஷரால் வருகிற மகிமையை அதிகமாய் விரும்பினார்கள்." ( யோவான் 12: 43)

நாம் ஆலய காரியங்களுக்கென்றும் நமது   ஊரின் நன்மைக்காகவும் பலச்  செயல்கள் செய்யலாம். அதிகமான பணத்தை ஆலயங்களுக்குச் செலவழிக்கலாம்; அல்லது தர்ம காரியங்கள் அதிகம் செய்யலாம். ஆனால் இவை அனைத்தையுமே எதற்காகச் செய்கின்றோம் என்பதே முக்கியம். தேவன் நாம் செய்யும் காரியங்களையும் அவற்றைச் செய்யும் நோக்கத்தையும்  அறிவார். உள்ளான அன்புடன் நாம் செய்வது எது, பிறர் நம்மை மதிக்கவேண்டும் என்று தற்பெருமைக்காகச்  செய்வது எது என்தையும்  தேவன் அறிவார். 

பிறர் அறியவேண்டும், நம்மை மதிக்கவேண்டும்  எனும் எண்ணத்துடன் செய்யும் காரியங்கள் உண்மையான அன்புடன் செய்பவையல்ல. அப்படிச் செய்வதால், நம்மை அறியாமலே ஒரு பெருமை நமக்குள் வந்துவிடுகின்றது. இதனை தேவன் விரும்புவதில்லை. எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார், "நீயோ தர்மஞ்செய்யும்போது, உன் தர்மம் அந்தரங்கமாயிருப்பதற்கு, உன் வலதுகை செய்கிறதை உன் இடதுகை அறியாதிருக்கக்கடவது." ( மத்தேயு 6: 3) என்று. தர்மம் செய்யும்போது மட்டுமல்ல, என்ன நல்ல செயலை நாம் செய்தாலும் இப்படியே இருக்கவேண்டியது முக்கியம். 

இதுபோலவே, சிலர் தங்களது கிறிஸ்தவ விசுவாசத்தை அல்லது கிறிஸ்துவைத்  தாங்கள்  நம்புவதை வெளிப்படையாகச்  சொல்லத் தயங்குவதுண்டு.  வேலை பார்க்கும் இடங்களில் பிற மத நண்பர்கள் அதிகம் பணிசெய்யும்போது அவர்கள் நம்மைத் தவறாகக் கருதுவர் என எண்ணி கிறிஸ்தவ விசுவாசத்துக்கு முரணான காரியங்களைச் செய்து  அவர்களோடு பல காரியங்களில் ஒத்துப்போவது சிலரது பழக்கம். இத்தகைய மனிதர்கள் தேவனால் வருகிற மகிமையிலும் மனுஷரால் வருகிற மகிமையைத் தேடுபவர்கள். 

யூதர்களில் பலர் இயேசுவைக்  கிறிஸ்து என்று நம்பினாலும் அதனை வெளிப்படையாக அறிக்கையிடத் தயங்கினார்கள். காரணம், யூதர்கள் தங்களைக் கொலைசெய்துவிடுவார்கள் என்று அவர்கள் பயந்தனர். சிலர் இரகசிய சீடர்களாக இருந்தனர். ஆனால் பலர் கிறிஸ்துவை மேசியா என்று கண்டுகொண்டாலும் அதனை வெளிப்படையாக அறிக்கையிடத் தயங்கினர். இத்தகைய மனிதர்களைப் பார்த்துதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "அவர்கள் தேவனால் வருகிற மகிமையிலும் மனுஷரால் வருகிற மகிமையை அதிகமாய் விரும்பினார்கள்." (யோவான் -12:43) என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்.

இதுபோலவே இன்று சுய மகிமையைத் தேடும் கிறிஸ்தவ ஊழியர்கள் நாட்டில் பெருகியுள்ளனர். கிறிஸ்துவை அறிவிப்பதைவிடத் தங்களது பெருமைகளை மக்கள் மத்தியில் பறைசாற்றுபவர்களாக வாழ்கின்றனர். இத்தகைய ஊழியர்களும் தேவனால் வரும் மகிமையைவிட மனிதர்களால் வரும் மகிமையைத் தேடுபவர்களே.  ஆனால் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் நாங்கள் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் அல்ல என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்.  "உங்களிடத்திலாவது,. மற்றவர்களிடத்திலாவது, மனுஷரால் வரும் மகிமையை நாங்கள் தேடவில்லை." (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 2: 6) என்கின்றார் அவர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நமது செயல்கள் அனைத்தும் தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்துவதாக இருக்க வேண்டுமேத்தவிர நம்மை விளம்பரப்படுத்துவதற்கான சுயமகிமைக்கானவைகளாக இருக்கக்கூடாது. இப்படிச் சுயமகிமையைத் தேடுபவர்களாக நாம் வாழ்வோமானால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்தவர்களல்ல. எனவே நம்மையே மறைத்து கர்த்தரை மகிமைப்படுத்தும் வாழ்வு வாழ நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடும்போம். 

யோவான் ஸ்நானகன் கூறுவதுபோல, "அவர் பெருகவும் நான் சிறுகவும் வேண்டும்." ( யோவான் 3: 30) என்று வாழ்பவர்களே மெய்யான ஆவிக்குரிய கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்.

“For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” (John 12:43, KJV)

We may do many good works for our church and for the welfare of our community. We might spend a lot of money for church ministries or engage in various charitable deeds. But what truly matters is why we do these things. God not only sees our actions but also knows the intent behind them. He discerns whether we do things out of genuine love or out of pride, seeking honour from others.

When we act with the desire to be recognized or honoured by others, those deeds are not done with sincere love. Without realizing it, a sense of pride begins to grow within us. God does not delight in such prideful motives. That is why Jesus Christ said, “But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth.” (Matthew 6:3, KJV) This principle should not only apply to almsgiving but to every good deed we do.

Likewise, some people hesitate to openly declare their Christian faith. In workplaces where people of other religions dominate, they fear being misunderstood or rejected. To avoid discomfort, they compromise their faith and go along with things that contradict Christian values. These are the kind of people who seek the praise of men rather than the praise of God.

Even among the Jews, many believed that Jesus was the Christ but hesitated to confess it openly, fearing persecution from other Jews. Some were secret disciples, and though they recognized Jesus as the Messiah, they were unwilling to publicly declare their faith. Regarding such people, Jesus Christ said: “For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” (John 12:43, KJV)

Today, we see a rise in Christian workers who seek self-glory rather than the glory of Christ. Instead of proclaiming Christ, they promote their own fame among the people. These are also those who desire human praise over divine approval. But the apostle Paul made a clear distinction:

“Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others.” (1 Thessalonians 2:6, KJV)

Dearly beloved, let all our deeds be for the glory of God and not for our own self-promotion. If we live seeking our own glory, we have not truly known Christ. Let us surrender ourselves to live a life that hides self and magnifies the Lord.

As John the Baptist declared, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30, KJV) Those who live by this truth are the true spiritual Christians.

🍒Meditation verse - யாக்கோபு 3: 17 / James 3:17

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,554

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 09, 2025. 💚வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"பரத்திலிருந்து வருகிற ஞானமோ முதலாவது சுத்தமுள்ளதாயும், பின்பு சமாதானமும் சாந்தமும் இணக்கமுமுள்ளதாயும், இரக்கத்தாலும் நற்கனிகளாலும் நிறைந்ததாயும், பட்சபாதமில்லாததாயும், மாயமற்றதாயுமிருக்கிறது." ( யாக்கோபு 3: 17)

இந்த உலகத்தில் ஞானிகள் பலர் இருந்துள்ளனர். தங்களது உலக ஞானத்தால் பல்வேறு நல்ல கருத்துக்களை அவர்கள் எழுதிவைத்துள்ளனர். இதுபோல தேவ ஞானிகளும் தங்களுக்குத் தேவன் அருளிய ஞானத்தால் பல கருத்துக்களை எழுதிவைத்துள்ளனர். இந்த தேவ ஞானம் சுத்தமுள்ளதாயும், பின்பு சமாதானமும் சாந்தமும் இணக்கமுமுள்ளதாயும், இரக்கத்தாலும் நற்கனிகளாலும் நிறைந்ததாயும், பட்சபாதமில்லாததாயும், மாயமற்றதாயுமிருக்கிறது.

ஆனால் "இவ்வுலகத்தின் ஞானம் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகப் பைத்தியமாயிருக்கிறது. அப்படியே, ஞானிகளை அவர்களுடைய தந்திரத்திலே பிடிக்கிறாரென்றும், ஞானிகளுடைய சிந்தனைகள் வீணாயிருக்கிறதென்று கர்த்தர் அறிந்திருக்கிறாரென்றும் எழுதியிருக்கிறது." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 3: 19-20) என்று வேதம் கூறுகின்றது. 

உதாரணமாக, இந்த உலக ஞானத்தால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட யோகா பல கோடிக்கணக்கான மக்களை வஞ்சித்து வைத்துள்ளதை நாம் அறிவோம்.  ஒருவேளை யோகா உடலைப் பேணுவதற்குப் பயன்தரலாமேத் தவிர அதனால் நாம் பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுதலையடைய முடியாது. பொதுவாக உலக ஞானிகள் உடலை வருத்துவதும் ஒரு சில உணவுகளைத் தவிர்ப்பதும் ஞானம் என போதிக்கின்றனர். ஆனால் இவை அனைத்தும் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு எந்த பலனையும் தருவதில்லை. 

இதுபோலவே, இயற்கை உணவுமுறை என்று ஒரு சாரார் கூறி  வருகின்றனர். இயற்கை உணவுமுறை  ஆத்துமாவுக்கு புத்துணர்வூட்டும் என்கின்றனர். எந்த உணவையும் அவிக்காமலும் பொரிக்காமலும் இயற்கையில் கிடைப்பதுபோலவே உண்ணவேண்டும் என்பதுதான் இவர்கள் கூறுவது. இதுவே இயற்கையில் கடவுள் நியமித்த முறை என்கின்றனர். 

ஒருமுறை  இத்தகைய பயிற்சியை அளித்துவரும்  எழுபது வயது பயிற்சியாளரை சந்திக்க என்னோடு பணியாற்றிய நண்பர்கள் முன்னறிவிப்பின்றி அவரது வீட்டில் சென்று சந்திக்க முயன்றபோது  அவர் பரோட்டா, சிக்கன் சாப்பிட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்ததைக்கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தனர்.  இத்தனைக்கும் அவர், தான் கடந்த இருபது ஆண்டுகளாக இயற்கை உணவு முறையையே பின்பற்றி வருவதாகப் பொதுமேடையில்  பேசிவந்தவர்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்தவ போதகர்களிலும் பலர் இப்படி மாயமான போதனைகளைப் போதித்துக்கொண்டு  வாழ்கின்றனர். "இப்படிப்பட்ட போதனைகள் சுய இஷ்டமான ஆராதனையையும், மாயமான தாழ்மையையும், சரீர ஒடுக்கத்தையும் பற்றி ஞானமென்கிற பேர்கொண்டிருந்தாலும், இவைகள் மாம்சத்தைப் பேணுகிறதற்கே ஒழிய மற்றொன்றிற்கும் பிரயோஜனப்படாது." ( கொலோசெயர் 2: 23) மட்டுமல்ல பெரும்பாலும் இப்படிப் போதிக்கும் பலரும் தங்கள் வாழ்வில் அவற்றைக் கடைபிடிப்பதுமில்லை. 

"அவருக்குள் ஞானம் அறிவு என்பவைகளாகிய பொக்கிஷங்களெல்லாம் அடங்கியிருக்கிறது. (கொலோசெயர் 2:3) என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி கிறிஸ்துவே ஞானமும் மீட்புமானவர். 

நாம் உண்மையான பரத்திலிருந்து வரும் ஞானத்தைப் பெற்றவர்களென்றால் அவற்றை நமது அன்றாட வாழ்வில் அதனை வெளிப்படுத்துபவர்களாக வாழவேண்டும் என்று வேதம் நமக்கு அறியவுறுத்துகின்றது. "உங்களில் ஞானியும் விவேகியுமாயிருக்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவன் ஞானத்திற்குரிய சாந்தத்தோடே தன் கிரியைகளை நல்ல நடக்கையினாலே காண்பிக்கக்கடவன்." (யாக்கோபு 3:13). 

பரிசுத்தம், சமாதானம், சாந்தம்,  இணக்கம், இரக்கம் நற்கனிகள்,  பட்சபாதமில்லாமை, மாயமற்றத் தன்மை இவையே பரத்திலிருந்து ஒருவன் பெறும் ஞானத்தின் அறிகுறிகள் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது.  ஆனால் உலக ஞானம் இவற்றைப்  போதிப்பதில்லை, இவற்றைக் கடைபிடித்து வாழ நமக்கு உதவுவதுமில்லை.  

"உங்களில் ஒருவன் ஞானத்தில் குறைவுள்ளவனாயிருந்தால், யாவருக்கும் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிறவரும் ஒருவரையும் கடிந்துகொள்ளாதவருமாகிய தேவனிடத்தில் கேட்கக்கடவன், அப்பொழுது அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்". (யாக்கோபு 1:5) என்று அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபு நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார். இந்த அறிவுரையைக் கேட்போம்;  பரத்திலிருந்து வரும் ஞானத்தால்  நாம் நிரம்பிட தேவனிடம் வேண்டுவோம். மாயமான உலக ஞானம் நமக்கு எந்தவிதத்திலும் உதவுவதில்லை.

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” — James 3:17 (KJV)

Throughout history, there have been many wise people in the world. With their worldly wisdom, they have written various good and thoughtful ideas. Likewise, godly people, through the wisdom granted to them by God, have also written meaningful insights. The wisdom that comes from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, and sincere.

However, the Scripture clearly states: “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.” — 1 Corinthians 3:19–20 (KJV)

For example, we know how yoga, developed through worldly wisdom, has deceived millions. While yoga might have some physical benefits, it can never deliver us from sin. Generally, worldly philosophers promote self-denial of food and bodily affliction as forms of wisdom. Yet these practices bring no benefit to the soul.

Similarly, there are some who advocate a “natural food lifestyle,” claiming that it revives the soul. They teach that food should not be cooked or fried, but eaten as it is found in nature. They claim this to be the way God designed things naturally. Once, a few of my colleagues attempted to meet a seventy-year-old trainer known for teaching this lifestyle. Without informing him in advance, they visited his home—only to be shocked to find him eating parotta and chicken! This man had been publicly promoting the natural food lifestyle for twenty years.

Dearly beloved, even among Christian preachers today, there are those who promote such deceptive teachings. As Scripture says: “Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.” — Colossians 2:23 (KJV)

Moreover, many who teach such things do not follow them in their own personal lives. Scripture declares: “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” — Colossians 2:3 (KJV) Christ alone is the true wisdom and salvation.

If we claim to have received true wisdom from above, we must reflect it in our daily lives. “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.” — James 3:13 (KJV)

Today’s meditation verse points out the signs of true wisdom from above: purity, peace, gentleness, willingness to yield, mercy, good fruits, impartiality, and sincerity. Worldly wisdom neither teaches these virtues nor helps us live by them.

The Apostle James instructs us: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” — James 1:5 (KJV) Let us heed this advice and earnestly seek God for the wisdom that comes from above. The deceptive wisdom of the world cannot help us in any way.
