I am not alone..

"And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him." ( John 8 : 29 )

If a country sends its representative (Ambassador) to another country, that country bears all the expenses incurred by him. He will be given many favors without asking. If the representative has a problem the country sent him will act to relieve him of the problem. Not only that, the person so sent will also be given many powers. But one condition is that the person sent as a representative should be loyal to the sending country and not give up the glory of his country.

God the Father sent Jesus Christ into the world to do His will. Jesus Christ did exactly that work. Not only that, everything he did was pleasing to God the Father. That's why Jesus Christ said, "Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him."

As the Father sent Jesus Christ, Christ sends us today into the world. "As the Father hath sent me, even so I sent you." (John 20:21) said Jesus Christ. This verse is not just for the disciples but for all of us Christians. Because we are called to live a life of discipleship.

We can identify ourselves as Christians to the world only when God the Father is with us as He was with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has promised us that too. "If a man love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him; and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." (John 14:23). That is, we must commit ourselves to live according to the words of Christ. This verse says that "we will come to him and dwell with him".

Yes, the Father and Christ the Son will dwell with us only when we obey the commandments of Christ. Living such a life is the true Christian life.

We must come to the point where we can say with certainty that he who sent me is with me. As we grow in the spiritual life we ​​will have that assurance. Only when we are convinced that Christ is with us can we dare to proclaim Christ to others.

Not only that, but God will do all the good for us, just as the country that sent him does all the good for a representative. A representative sent to a country need not have to plead his needs to the sending country. The country that sent him will make many concessions to him.  In the similar way, as we live according to Christ, He will meet our needs.

Let us commit ourselves to doing works that are pleasing to Christ. Let us ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He, the Spirit of truth, can help us walk in the path of Christ. Then the world will know that Jesus Christ, who sent us, is with us and has not left us alone.

Let us commit ourselves to Christ to live such a higher life.

"நானே வழி"

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 646 ⛪ நவம்பர் 04,  2022 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"அவன், நீதியையும், இச்சையடக்கத்தையும், இனிவரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பையும்குறித்துப் பேசுகையில், பேலிக்ஸ் பயமடைந்து: இப்பொழுது நீ போகலாம், எனக்குச் சமயமானபோது உன்னை அழைப்பிப்பேன் என்றான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 24 : 25 )

இன்றைய சுவிஷேச கூட்டங்களில் பல்வேறுவகை ஊழியர்களை நாம் பார்க்கலாம். நடனமாடிகள், பாடகர்கள், ஆறுதல்படுத்துபவர்கள், ஆசீர்வாதங்களையே போதிப்பவர்கள், நாட்டு நடப்புகளை பேசுபவர்கள், நீதிபோதனைகள் செய்பவர்கள், வெட்டிக்கதை பேசுபவர்கள்  என இந்தப் பட்டியல் நீளும். 

ஆனால் ஒரு உண்மை  போதகன் மக்களை மனம்திரும்புதலுக்கேற்ற வழியில் நடத்துபவனே. ஆனால் அப்படிப் பேசினால் கூட்டம் சேராது, காணிக்கையும் வராது என்பதால் மக்களைக் கவரும் மேற்படி கூறப்பட்ட கவர்ச்சி போதகர்கள் கிறிஸ்தவத்தில் எழும்பியுள்ளனர். இவர்களது போதனைகளால் மக்களுக்கு எந்த ஆவிக்குரிய பயனும் ஏற்படுவதில்லை. 

இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனம் "அவன், நீதியையும், இச்சையடக்கத்தையும், இனிவரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பையும்குறித்துப் பேசுகையில், பேலிக்ஸ் பயமடைந்து" என்று கூறுகின்றது. அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் அடிகள் ரோமையில் விசாரணைக் கைதியாக இருக்கும்போது தனது வாதங்களை எடுத்துக்கூறும்போதும் சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்பாகவே அதனைச்செய்தார். பவுல் அடிகளின் பேச்சு நீதி, இச்சையடக்கம், நித்திய நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு இவைகளைப்பற்றியே இருந்தது.   

ஆனால், பேலிக்ஸ் இவைகளைக்கேட்டு பயமடைகின்றான். குற்றமுள்ள நெஞ்சு குறுகுறுக்கும் என்பார்கள். அதுபோல நீதி, நியாயம், இச்சையடக்கம் இவை எதுவும் அவனிடம் இல்லாததால் பேலிக்ஸ் பயமடைந்தான். அவனுக்கு அதற்குமேல் பவுலின் வாதங்களைக் கேட்க மனதில்லை. எனவே, இப்பொழுது நீ போகலாம், எனக்குச் சமயமானபோது உன்னை அழைப்பிப்பேன் என்று கூறி பவுலை அனுப்பிவிடுகின்றான்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இதுதான் இன்றைக்கும் நடக்கின்றது. கன்வென்சன் கூட்டங்களில் சென்று ஆடிப்பாடி துள்ளிக் குதிக்கும் பலரிடம் உண்மையான ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை இல்லாததால் மெய்யான சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்புகளை இவர்கள் கேட்க முன்வருவதில்லை. பாடல்களை ரசிக்கிறார்கள்; ஆடல்களை ரசிக்கின்றார்கள்; அவரைவிட இவர் நன்றாகக் பாடுகின்றார் என்கின்றார்கள்.  ஆனால், பேலீக்ஸைப்போல  மெய்யான சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்புகளுக்குப் பயப்படுகின்றார்கள்; வெறுக்கிறார்கள்.

சபை ஆராதனை பல விசுவாசிகளுக்கு ஞாயிறு பொழுதுபோக்குபோல் மாறிவிட்டது. எனவே அவர்கள் கடினமான மெய்யான உபதேசங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பதில்லை. 

இதனையே அன்று அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் தனது சீடன் தீமோத்தேயுக்கு கூறினார். "ஏனென்றால், அவர்கள் ஆரோக்கியமான உபதேசத்தைப் பொறுக்க மனதில்லாமல், செவித்தினவுள்ளவர்களாகி, தங்கள் சுய இச்சைகளுக்கேற்ற போதகர்களைத் தங்களுக்குத் திரளாகச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு சத்தியத்துக்குச் செவியை விலக்கி, கட்டுக்கதைகளுக்குச் சாய்ந்துபோகுங்காலம் வரும்." ( 2 தீமோத்தேயு 4 : 3, 4 ) என்று. பவுல் கூறிய அந்தக் காலம்தான் இப்போது நடந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றது.

அன்பானவர்களே, உண்மைக்கும் சத்தியத்துக்கும் செவிகொடுக்கும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறிய முடியும். சத்தியம் கசப்பானதாக இருந்தாலும் சத்தியம் மட்டுமே நம்மை விடுவிக்க முடியும். "சத்தியத்தை அறிவீர்கள், சத்தியம் உங்களை விடுதலையாக்கும்"  ( யோவான் 8 : 32 ) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறவில்லையா?

நமக்குத் தேவை ஆடலும், பாடலும், துள்ளலும், ஆசீர்வாத வார்த்தைகளுமல்ல. மெய் ஆசீர்வாதத்துக்கான வழிதான் நமக்குத் தேவை. அந்த வழி கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை அர்ப்பணிப்பதால் மட்டுமே நமக்கு வெளிப்படும். ஆம், எனவேதான் "நானே வழி" என்று ஆணித்தரமாக நமக்கு அவர் கூறியுள்ளார்.

"I am the Way"

"And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee." ( Acts 24 : 25 )

In today's world we could see a variety of Gospel workers. Dancers, singers, comforters, preachers of blessings, tellers of national affairs, preachers of righteousness, tellers of fables, thus the list goes on.

But a true Gospel preacher is one who leads people in the way of repentance. But if one talk like that, large gatherings will not come and the preacher will not get adequate offering. Hence, the aforementioned charismatic preachers who attract people have arisen in Christianity. Actually their preaching will not benefit for the spiritual development of the people. 

Today's meditation verse says, when Paul spoke of righteousness and temperance and judgment to come,  Felix trembled.  Apostle Paul did so as an evangelical proclamation when he presented his arguments while under trial in Rome. Yes, Paul's speech was about righteousness, temperance and judgment.

But Felix gets scared hearing this because of his guilty consciousness. He was lack in justice, fairness, and self-control, and hence was terrified. He didn't want to listen to Paul's arguments anymore. So he sends Paul away, saying, You may go now, and I will call you when I have time. 

Beloved, this is still happening today. Many people who go to convention meetings and dance and sing, do not have a real spiritual life and do not come forward to hear the real Gospel. They enjoy songs; They enjoy dancing; They say he sings better than the other. But, like Felix, they are afraid of true evangelical proclamations; they hate them. Congregational worship has become a Sunday pastime for many believers. So they don't listen to hard truth teachings.

This is what the apostle Paul told his disciple Timothy that day. ""For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." ( 2 Timothy 4 : 3, 4 ) The time that Paul spoke of is now happening.

Beloved, we can know Christ only when we listen to truth and truth shall let us free. Truth is bitter but only truth can set us free. Didn't Jesus Christ say, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free" (John 8:32)?

We need not anymore want dancing, singing, hopping and words of blessing. What we need is the way to true blessing. That way alone will fetch us to real blessings as our Lord Jesus Christ has promised. Yes, Jesus has solemnly told us, "I am the way."

Spiritual Battle

"When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt." ( Deuteronomy 20 : 1 )

While reading the above verse for today's meditation, many Christians think these are the words mentioning their worldly enemies. They consider their neighbors, or those who work against them in their office as enemies. But according to the New Testament we have no carnal enemies. It is said that the characteristic of a Christian is to forgive and forget. Not revenge.

A brother once told me that, in office his superior officer was working against him. He said to me that when he prayed to God,  God gave this verse to him. "when seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt". He said with confidence that the Lord would give him victory, claiming that the verse had been clearly revealed to him. But, in fact, this man was the culprit and later terminated from job.

Beloved, this verse from the Old Testament is spoken to the people of the New Testament as a spiritual verse. Our enemies are ourselves. Our enemies are, sinful desires and sinful circumstances that deceive us. These are challenges that Satan brings to cause us to fall from the spiritual life.

The meaning is, we should not be afraid of great sinful situations, like horses and chariots and great crowds of people; The Lord our God is with us. He will surely deliver us from deadly sins and sinful habits, from the wiles of Satan and from the powers of darkness.

This is why the apostle Paul wrote, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." ( Ephesians 6 : 12 )".

Further Paul says, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:"  ( Ephesians 6 : 13 - 17)

Beloved, today's verse begins as, "When you go out to fight against your enemies." Yes, it means when we go for a spiritual battle, we must make sure that we have the above weapons that the apostle Paul said. Moreover, these weapons should be properly sharpened and make ready for use. Only then can we win such spiritual battles

ஆவிக்குரிய போராட்டம்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 645 ⛪ நவம்பர் 03,  2022 வியாழக்கிழமை

"நீ உன் சத்துருக்களுக்கு எதிராக யுத்தஞ்செய்யப் புறப்பட்டுப்போகையில், குதிரைகளையும், இரதங்களையும், உன்னிலும் பெரிய கூட்டமாகிய ஜனங்களையும் கண்டால், அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாயாக; உன்னை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே இருக்கிறார்." ( உபாகமம் 20 : 1 )

கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் பலரும் இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய மேற்படி வசனத்தைப் படிக்கும்போது  இந்த உலகத்தில் எதிரிகள் என்று இவர்கள் கருத்துபவர்களை நினைத்துக்கொள்வதுண்டு. பக்கத்துவீட்டுக்காரர்கள், அல்லது பணி செய்யும் இடங்களில் எதிராகச் செயல்படுபவர்கள் இவர்களையே எதிரிகள் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்வதுண்டு. ஆனால், புதிய ஏற்பாட்டின்படி நமக்கு மாம்சீக எதிரிகள் கிடையாது. அனைவரையும் மன்னித்து மறப்பதே கிறிஸ்தவனின் பண்பாக கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. பழிவாங்குவதல்ல. 

ஒருமுறை அலுவலகத்தில் தனது மேலதிகாரி தனக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுவதாகக் கூறிய ஒரு சகோதரர் என்னிடம்,  "அவர்களது குதிரைகளையும், இரதங்களையும், உன்னிலும் பெரிய கூட்டமாகிய ஜனங்களையும் கண்டால், அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாயாக; உன்னை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே இருக்கிறார்." என்ற வசனம் தனக்கு உணர்த்தப்பட்டதாகக் கூறி கர்த்தர் ஜெயம் தருவார் என்று நம்பிக்கையுடன் கூறினார். ஆனால், உண்மையில் இந்தச் சகோதரிடம்தான் தவறே இருந்தது. பிற்பாடு அவர் பணிநீக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டார் என்று அறிந்தேன். 

அன்பானவர்களே, பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள இந்த வசனம் ஆவிக்குரிய வசனமாக புதிய ஏற்பாட்டு மக்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. நமக்கு எதிரிகள் நாம்தான். நம்மை வஞ்சிக்கும் பாவ ஆசைகளும் பாவச் சூழ்நிலைகளும்தான் நமக்கு எதிரிகள். ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்விலிருந்து நம்மை விழத்தள்ளுவதற்கு சாத்தான் கொண்டுவரும் சவால்களே இந்த எதிரிகள்.

குதிரைகளையும், இரதங்களையும், நம்மிலும் பெரிய கூட்டமாகிய ஜனங்கள் போலவும் இருக்கும் மிகப்பெரிய பாவச் சூழ்நிலைகளைக்கண்டு நாம் பயப்படக்கூடாது; அவைகளுக்கு அடிமையாகிவிடக்கூடாது. நம் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நம்மோடுகூட இருக்கிறார். அவர் நிச்சயமாக நம்மைக் கொடிய பாவங்களிலிருந்தும் பாவப் பழக்கங்களிலிருந்தும்    சாத்தானின் தந்திரங்களிலிருந்தும் அந்தகார சக்திகளிடமிருந்தும்   விடுவிப்பார்.

அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பவுல் அடிகள் இதனால்தான், "ஏனெனில், மாம்சத்தோடும் இரதத்தோடுமல்ல, துரைத்தனங்களோடும், அதிகாரங்களோடும், இப்பிரபஞ்சத்தின் அந்தகார லோகாதிபதிகளோடும், வானமண்டலங்களிலுள்ள பொல்லாத ஆவிகளின் சேனைகளோடும் நமக்குப் போராட்டம் உண்டு." ( எபேசியர் 6 : 12 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

மேலும் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கூறும்போது, "ஆகையால், தீங்குநாளிலே அவைகளை நீங்கள் எதிர்க்கவும், சகலத்தையும் செய்துமுடித்தவர்களாய் நிற்கவும் திராணியுள்ளவர்களாகும்படிக்கு, தேவனுடைய சர்வாயுதவர்க்கத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். சத்தியம் என்னும் கச்சையை உங்கள் அரையில் கட்டினவர்களாயும், நீதியென்னும் மார்க்கவசத்தைத் தரித்தவர்களாயும்; சமாதானத்தின் சுவிசேஷத்திற்குரிய ஆயத்தம் என்னும் பாதரட்சையைக் கால்களிலே தொடுத்தவர்களாயும்; பொல்லாங்கன் எய்யும் அக்கினியாஸ்திரங்களையெல்லாம் அவித்துப்போடத்தக்கதாய், எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக விசுவாசமென்னும் கேடகத்தைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டவர்களாயும் நில்லுங்கள். இரட்சணியமென்னும், தலைச்சீராவையும். தேவவசனமாகிய ஆவியின் பட்டயத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்." ( எபேசியர் 6 : 13-17 ) என்கின்றார்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்றைய வசனம் "நீ உன் சத்துருக்களுக்கு எதிராக யுத்தஞ்செய்யப் புறப்பட்டுப்போகையில்" என்று ஆரம்பிக்கின்றது. ஆம், இந்த உலகில்  ஆவிக்குரிய யுத்தம் செய்யப் போகும்போது என்பது பொருள். அப்படி நாம்  போகும்போது  அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கூறியுள்ள மேற்படி ஆயுதங்கள் நம்மிடம் இருப்பதை நாம் உறுதிப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். மட்டுமல்ல அவை மழுங்கிப்போகாதவாறும் காத்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். அப்போது மட்டுமே நாம் இத்தகைய ஆவிக்குரிய போராட்டங்களில் வெற்றிபெற முடியும்

இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியாய் உட்பிரவேசிக்கப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள்.

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 644 ⛪ நவம்பர் 02,  2022 புதன்கிழமை 

"அப்பொழுது நீங்கள்: உம்முடைய சமுகத்தில் போஜனபானம்பண்ணினோமே, நீர் எங்கள் வீதிகளில் போதகம்பண்ணினீரே என்று சொல்லுவீர்கள். ஆனாலும் அவர்: நீங்கள் எவ்விடத்தாரோ, உங்களை அறியேன், அக்கிரமக்காரராகிய நீங்களெல்லாரும் என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள் என்று சொல்லுவார் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( லுூக்கா 13 : 26, 27 )

ஒருமுறை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து எருசலேமுக்குப் பயணமாய்ச் செல்லும்போது வழியிலுள்ள நகரங்களிலும் கிராமங்களிலும் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணிக் கொண்டு போனார். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் போதனை குறிப்பாக, பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பதற்குரிய தகுதிகளைக் குறித்ததாக இருந்தது. அவற்றைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த ஒருவனுக்கு இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் போதனை கடைபிடிக்க அரிதான ஒரு செயல்போலத் தெரிந்தது. வித்தியாசமான உபதேசமாக இருந்தது.

"இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியாய் உட்பிரவேசிக்கப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள், அநேகர் உட்பிரவேசிக்க வகைதேடினாலும் அவர்களாலே கூடாமற்போகும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( லுூக்கா 13 : 24 ) என்ற இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வார்த்தைகள் அவனுக்குக் குழப்பதைக் கொண்டுவந்திருக்கும். 

எனவே, அவன் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம், "ஆண்டவரே, இரட்சிக்கப்படுபவர்கள் சிலபேர்தானோ?" என்று கேட்டான்.  அவனுக்குப் பதில்கூறும்போது இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனத்தைக் கூறினார். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் போதனைகளைக் கேட்கவந்தவர்களுக்கு அவர் பல வேளைகளில் உணவு கொடுத்தார். அப்பத்தையும் மீனையும் பலுகச்செய்து உணவளித்தார். பலர் இயேசு இப்படி உணவளிப்பதால் அவரிடம் வந்து போதகத்தைக் கேட்டனர்; உணவும் உண்டனர். ஆனால் அவர்கள் மெய்யான மனம்திரும்புதலுக்குள் வரவில்லை. இத்தகைய மனிதர்கள்தான் இறுதிநாட்களில் பரலோகத்தினுள் பிரவேசிக்கமுடியாமல் போகும்போது வந்து நின்று,  "உம்முடைய சமுகத்தில் போஜனபானம்பண்ணினோமே, நீர் எங்கள் வீதிகளில் போதகம்பண்ணினீரே" என்று சொல்லுகின்றவர்கள். 

போதனைகளைக்கேட்டு அவர் அளித்த உணவினை உண்டு வந்ததால் அவர்கள் இறுதி நாளில் அவரோடு பரலோகத்தில் நுழைய முடியும் என்று நம்புவார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்களைப்பார்த்து, "உங்களை அறியேன், அக்கிரமக்காரராகிய நீங்களெல்லாரும் என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள் என்று சொல்லுவார் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

அன்பானவர்களே, இது இந்தநாளில் வாழும் நமக்கு ஒரு எச்சரிப்பாகும். ஆண்டவரின் நற்கருணையை (இராப்போஜனம்) உண்டு பல்வேறு சுவிசேஷ கூட்டங்களில் தவறாமல் பங்கு பெறுவதால் மட்டும் நாம் கடவுளுக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்கள் ஆக முடியாது என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. காரணம், இவைகளைச் செய்வது எளிது. யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் எளிதில் இவைகளை நிறைவேற்றலாம். 

ஆனால், தேவன் விரும்புவது ஒரு மனம் திரும்பிய வாழ்வு. நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு வாழும் ஒரு மீட்பு பெற்ற ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு. இந்த வாழ்வினை வாழ விரும்பாமல் வெறும் ஆராதைகளில் கலந்துகொண்டு  அதனால் திருப்தியடைவதில் அர்த்தமில்லை. ஆராதனையோடு ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வும் நமக்கு வேண்டும்.  இறுதிநாளில் உங்களை அறியேன் என்று தேவனது வாயினால் கூறப்பட்டு புறம்தள்ளப்படும் பரிதாப நிலைமை நமக்கு வரக்கூடாது.  

மீட்பு அனுபவம் பெற்று மாம்ச இச்சைகளை நிறைவேற்றாமல் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழும்போதே நமக்கு தேவனோடு நித்திய பேரின்பத்தில் நுழைய முடியும். அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் அடிகளும் இதனால்தான் "ஆனபடியால், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குட்பட்டவர்களாயிருந்து, மாம்சத்தின்படி நடவாமல் ஆவியின்படியே நடக்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்பில்லை." ( ரோமர் 8 : 1 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழ நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம்.

Strive to enter in at the strait gate

 AATHAVAN 🖋️ 644 ⛪ November 02, 2022 Wednesday

"Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity." ( Luke 13 : 26, 27 )

Once when Jesus Christ was traveling to Jerusalem, he preached in the towns and villages along the way. The teaching of Jesus Christ was specifically about qualifications for entering the Kingdom of Heaven. It seemed like a rare act for someone listening to them to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. It was a different sermon.

The words of Jesus, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." ( Luke 13 : 24 ) would have brought confusion to him.

So, he asked Jesus Christ, "Lord, are there only few who will be saved?". While answering him, Jesus Christ said the verse for today's meditation.

Jesus many a times gave food to those who came to hear his. He multiplied bread and fish in miraculous manner and fed them. Many came to Jesus because he was feeding like this and listen to his sermon. But they did not come to true repentance. Such types of people are the ones who will come and stand in the last days when they cannot enter heaven and say, "We ate and drank in your presence, you taught in our streets."

They would believe that they would be able to enter heaven with him on the last day because they had listened to his teachings and eaten the food he had given them. But looking at them, he will say, "I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity." 

Beloved, this is a warning to us living today. Jesus Christ says that we cannot become acceptable to God just by having the Lord's Eucharist (Supper) and regularly participating in various evangelical meetings. Because they are easy to do. Anyone can easily accomplish these.

But what God wants is a repentant life. A redeemed spiritual life where our sins are forgiven. There is no point in being content with merely participating in worship without wanting to live this life. We need spiritual life along with worship. We should not have the pitiful situation of being rejected by the mouth of God saying, "I know ye not" on the last day.

We can enter eternal bliss with God when we experience redemption and live a spiritual life without fulfilling fleshly desires. This is why the Apostle Paul says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." ( Romans 8 : 1 ).

Beloved, let us commit ourselves to live a spiritual life.
