🍒Meditation verse - எசேக்கியேல் 18: 26, 27 / Ezekiel 18:26–27

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 22, 2025. 💚செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

 

"நீதிமான் தன் நீதியைவிட்டு விலகி, அநீதிசெய்து அதிலே செத்தால், அவன் செய்த தன் அநீதியினிமித்தம் அவன் சாவான். துன்மார்க்கன் தான் செய்த துன்மார்க்கத்தைவிட்டு விலகி, நியாயத்தையும் நீதியையும் செய்வானேயாகில், அவன் தன் ஆத்துமாவைப் பிழைக்கப்பண்ணுவான்." ( எசேக்கியேல் 18: 26, 27)

நாம் கொஞ்ச காலத்துக்கு மட்டுமல்ல,  மாறாக,  நமது வாழ்வின் இறுதிவரையில் முற்றுமுடிய நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது.   சில காலங்கள் மட்டுமே நீதியுள்ளவர்களாக, நல்லவர்களாக வாழ்ந்துவிட்டுப்  பின்னர் அநீதி செய்வோமானால் நாம் ஆத்தும மரணத்தைச் சந்திப்போம் என்று நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது இன்றைய தியான வசனம். 

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் நீதிக்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாக வாழ்ந்து பின்னர் நாம் பின்மாறிப்போவோமானால் நாம் பரிதபிக்கக்கூடியவர்களாக மாறிப்போவோம். இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு, "கர்த்தரும் இரட்சகருமாயிருக்கிற இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை அறிகிற அறிவினாலே உலகத்தின் அசுத்தங்களுக்குத் தப்பினவர்கள் மறுபடியும் அவைகளில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டு ஜெயிக்கப்பட்டால், அவர்களுடைய பின்னிலைமை முன்னிலைமையிலும் கேடுள்ளதாயிருக்கும். அவர்கள் நீதியின் மார்க்கத்தை அறிந்தபின்பு தங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த கற்பனையை விட்டு விலகுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதை அறியாதிருந்தார்களானால் அவர்களுக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்." (2 பேதுரு 2: 20, 21) என்கின்றார். 

இதற்கு மாறாக, துன்மார்க்கத்தில் வாழும் மனிதன் தனது துன்மார்க்கத்திலிருந்து மனம் மாறி நீதியுள்ள வாழ்கைக்குத் திரும்பினால் அவன் பிழைப்பான். ஒவ்வொரு ஆத்துமாவும் தேவனுக்கு விலையேறப்பெற்றது. எனவே தேவன் ஒருவரும் கெட்டுபோய்விடக்கூடாது என்று விரும்புகின்றார். 

சிலர் செய்யும் கொடிய பாவங்களை நாம் பத்திரிகைகளில் வாசிக்கும்போது, ஏன் தேவன் இவர்களை அழித்து ஒழிக்காமல் இருக்கிறார் என எண்ணத்தோன்றும். ஆம் இத்தகைய துன்மார்க்கர்களும்  மனம்திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று தேவன் தனது வருகையையே தாமதப்படுத்திக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார். "தாமதிக்கிறார் என்று சிலர் எண்ணுகிறபடி, கர்த்தர் தமது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தைக்குறித்துத் தாமதமாயிராமல்; ஒருவரும் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் எல்லாரும் மனந்திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று விரும்பி, நம்மேல் நீடிய பொறுமையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்." (2 பேதுரு 3: 9) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்துகொண்டவர்கள் என்றால் அந்த நிலையிலேயே தொடர்ந்து உண்மையாக வாழ்வோம். அவரை அறிந்தபின் அவரைவிட்டு விலகுவது யூதாசைப்போன்ற வாழ்க்கை. அதுபோல, கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் உண்டாகும் பாவ மன்னிப்பு, இரட்சிப்பு இவைகளை உதாசீனப்படுத்தி இதுவரை வாழ்ந்திருப்போமானால் அவரிடம் மன்னிப்பை வேண்டி மனம்திரும்புவோம். அவர் மன்னிக்கத் தயைமிகுந்தவராகவே இருக்கின்றார். எனவேதான் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "துன்மார்க்கன் தான் செய்த துன்மார்க்கத்தைவிட்டு விலகி, நியாயத்தையும் நீதியையும் செய்வானேயாகில், அவன் தன் ஆத்துமாவைப் பிழைக்கப்பண்ணுவான்." என்று.

நமது வாழ்க்கையினை சீர்தூக்கிப்பார்ப்போம். நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருப்போமானால்  துன்பங்களைப் பாராமல் தொடர்ந்து நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ நம்மையே ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். துன்மார்க்க வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருப்போமானால் மனம்திரும்பி கர்த்தரிடம் சேருவோம்.

Scripture Meditation – No: 1,537
‘Aathavan’ 💚 April 22, 2025 💚 Tuesday

“When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.” — Ezekiel 18:26–27, KJV

Today’s meditation verse instructs us that it is not enough to live a righteous life for a short period—we must live righteously until the very end of our lives. If we live righteously for a time and later turn to unrighteousness, we will face spiritual death. This is a clear warning.

If we, who once lived under the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ, backslide and turn away, we become people to be pitied. The apostle Peter also warns us of this, saying: “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.” — 2 Peter 2:20–21, KJV

On the other hand, if a man who lives in wickedness repents and turns to live righteously, he shall live. Every soul is precious to God. Therefore, God does not desire that anyone should perish.

When we read about the terrible sins committed by some people in the news, we may wonder why God doesn’t just destroy them. Yet, even such wicked people are given time to repent. That is why the Lord delays His coming. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” — 2 Peter 3:9, KJV

Yes, beloved, if we have come to know Christ, let us continue to live faithfully in that state. Turning away after knowing Him leads to a life like that of Judas. Likewise, if we have taken the forgiveness and salvation that come through the blood of Jesus lightly until now, let us repent and ask His forgiveness. He is merciful and ready to forgive. That is why He says: “But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.” — Ezekiel 33:19, KJV

Let us examine our lives. If we are living righteously, let us commit ourselves to continue in righteousness despite hardships. If we are living in wickedness, let us repent and turn to the Lord.

🍒Meditation verse - லுூக்கா 17: 32 / Luke 17:32

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 21, 2025. 💚திங்கள்கிழமை 

"லோத்தின் மனைவியை நினைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்." ( லுூக்கா 17: 32)

லோத்தின் மனைவிக்கு நிகழ்ந்த பரிதாபகரமான நிலைமை நமக்கும்  வந்துவிடக்கூடாது என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றார் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகையினைக் குறித்துப் பேசும்போது இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கூறுகின்றார்.  இயேசு கிறிஸ்து ஏன் லோத்துவின் மனைவியை நினைத்துகொள்ளச் சொல்கின்றார்?  பாவத்தினால் தேவனது கோபத்துக்கு உள்ளான சோதோமை தேவன் அக்கினியினாலும் கந்தகத்தினாலும் அழித்தபோது லோத்துவையும் அவன் குடும்பத்தையும் காப்பாற்ற தேவன் விரும்பியதால்  அவனைக்  குடும்பத்தோடு  அங்கிருந்து வெளியேறச் செய்தார். அப்போது தேவன் கூறிய ஒரே நிபந்தனை, "பின்னிட்டுப் பாராதே" என்பதுதான். 

ஆனால்  தனது வீடு, நிலபுலன்கள், கால்நடைகள் அனைத்தையும் விட்டுவிட்டுச் செல்லும்போது தேவன் அவற்றையெல்லாம் அழிப்பதை லோத்துவின் மனைவியால் சகிக்கமுடியவில்லை. அவள் தேவனது கட்டளையை மீறி அவற்றைத் திரும்பிப்பார்த்தாள். இதனால் தேவ கோபம் அவள்மேல் வந்தது. இதனை, "அவன் மனைவியோ பின்னிட்டுப்பார்த்து, உப்புத்தூண் ஆனாள்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 19: 26) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் சோதோமை அழிப்பதற்கு முன்புவரை அங்கு வாழ்ந்த மக்கள் எதைக்குறித்தும் கவலையின்றி வாழ்ந்தனர். ஜனங்கள் புசித்தார்கள், குடித்தார்கள், கொண்டார்கள், விற்றார்கள், நட்டார்கள், கட்டினார்கள். ஆனால் திடீரென்று அவர்கள்மேல் அழிவு வந்தது. தனது இரண்டாம் வருகையின்போதும் இதுபோலவே நடக்கும் என்கிறார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. "லோத்தினுடைய நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோலவும் நடக்கும்; ஜனங்கள் புசித்தார்கள், குடித்தார்கள், கொண்டார்கள், விற்றார்கள், நட்டார்கள், கட்டினார்கள். லோத்து சோதோமை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்ட நாளிலே வானத்திலிருந்து அக்கினியும் கந்தகமும் வருஷித்து, எல்லாரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டது." ( லுூக்கா 17: 28, 29) மனுஷகுமாரனின் வருகையின்போதும் இப்படியே நடக்கும்  என்கிறார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.

லோத்தின் மனைவி திரும்பிப்பார்த்தது அழிந்துபோகும் தனது உடைமைகளில் எதனையாவது தன்னால் மீட்கமுடியுமா? என்று எண்ணியதால்தான்.  எனவே, "பின்னிட்டுப் பாராதே" எனும் தேவனது கட்டளையை மீறித்  திரும்பிப்பார்த்தாள். இதனையே உவமையாக தொடர்ந்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்து,  "தன் ஜீவனை இரட்சிக்க வகைதேடுகிறவன் அதை இழந்து போவான்; இழந்துபோகிறவன் அதை உயிர்ப்பித்துக் கொள்ளுவான்." ( லுூக்கா 17: 33)  என்றார்.  

தொடர்ந்து, இதே பகுதியில் நாம் வாசிக்கும்போது, தனது வருகையினைக் குறித்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, லோத்துவின் மனைவியைப் போல உங்கள் செல்வத்தின்மேல் மட்டும் ஆர்வம்கொண்டு அவற்றைப் பாதுகாப்பதில் கவனம் செலுத்தாதிருங்கள் என்கின்றார். இதனையே அவர், "அந்த நாளிலே வீட்டின்மேலிருப்பவன் வீட்டிலுள்ள தன் பண்டங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோக இறங்காமல் இருக்கக்கடவன்; அப்படியே வயலிலிருக்கிறவன் பின்னிட்டுத் திரும்பாமலும் இருக்கக்கடவன்." ( லுூக்கா 17: 31) என்கின்றார். அதாவது, கிறிஸ்துவின்மேலுள்ள அதே அன்பு நிலைமையில் குறைந்திடாமல் இருங்கள். என்கின்றார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகை எப்போது நிகழ்ந்தாலும் அதனை நாம் எதிர்கொள்ள ஆயத்தமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதே இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறவிரும்புவது. அவர்மேலுள்ள அன்பில் குறைவுபடாமல் நாம் வாழவேண்டும் என்கின்றார். அவர் வருவது திருடன் வருவதைப்போன்ற  எதிர்பாராத நிகழ்வாக இருக்கும் என்று ஏற்கெனவே நமக்கு அவர் அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளார். அந்த வருகைக்கு நாம் ஆயத்தமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும். உலகப் பொருட்களல்ல, தேவனே போதும் என அவரையே நாம் முன்னிட்டுப்பார்த்து ஆவிக்குரிய பயணத்தைத்  தொடரவேண்டும். 

எனவேதான், தேவனது வார்த்தையினை மீறி பொருளாசையால் பின்னிட்டுப் பார்த்து உப்புத்தூணாக மாறிப்போன "லோத்தின் மனைவியை நினைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்." என்று நம்மை எச்சரிக்கிறார் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. எச்சரிக்கையுடன் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகைக்கு ஆயத்தமாய் இருப்போம்.

AATHAVAN 💚 April 21, 2025 – Monday 

"Remember Lot's wife." (Luke 17:32) 

In today’s meditation verse, our Lord Jesus Christ warns us so that we do not face the same tragic end as Lot’s wife.

While speaking about His Second Coming, Jesus gave this solemn reminder. Why does Jesus tell us to remember Lot’s wife? When God was about to destroy Sodom—a city consumed by sin and under God’s wrath—He chose to save Lot and his family out of His mercy. To deliver them from destruction, God commanded them to flee with just one condition: “Look not behind thee.”

However, as Lot’s wife was leaving behind her house, possessions, and livestock, she could not bear to see it all destroyed. Disobeying God's clear instruction, she looked back. The Bible says, “But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” (Genesis 19:26)

Dearly beloved, before God destroyed Sodom, the people of the city lived without any concern for spiritual matters. They ate, drank, bought, sold, planted, and built. But destruction came suddenly. Jesus said His return would be just like that.

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.” (Luke 17:28–29)

“Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” (Luke 17:30)

Lot’s wife looked back, perhaps thinking she could salvage something from her perishing possessions. But in doing so, she violated God's command. Jesus used this to emphasize a deeper truth: “Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” (Luke 17:33)

Further in the same chapter, Jesus urges us not to focus solely on our earthly wealth like Lot’s wife, nor to let our hearts be distracted when the time comes.

“In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.” (Luke 17:31) In other words, remain steadfast in your love for Christ and do not waver.

Yes, dearly beloved, Jesus is reminding us that His coming will be sudden, like a thief in the night. Therefore, we must always be prepared. Our hearts should not be set on worldly things, but rather on God Himself. Let us continue our spiritual journey with our eyes fixed on Him, not looking back.

That is why the Lord Jesus Christ warns us today: “Remember Lot's wife.” — She turned back out of covetousness and disobedience and became a pillar of salt.

Let us be watchful and ready for the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

🍒Meditation verse - 1 கொரிந்தியர் 15: 13, 14 / 1 Corinthians 15:13–14

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 20, 2025. 💚ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை 

"மரித்தோரின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலில்லாவிட்டால், கிறிஸ்துவும் எழுந்திருக்கவில்லையே. கிறிஸ்து எழுந்திருக்கவில்லை யென்றால், எங்கள் பிரசங்கமும் விருதா, உங்கள் விசுவாசமும் விருதா." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 15: 13, 14)

உலக நீதிமான்கள், பரிசுத்தர்கள், இவர்களிலிருந்து கிறிஸ்துவை வேறுபடுத்திக்காட்டுவது அவரது உயிர்ப்பு. அவர் உயிர்த்தெழவில்லையானால்  அவரை நாம் கடவுள் என்று கூறுவது ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளமுடியாதது. இந்த உலகத்தில் பல நல்ல போதனைகளைக்கொடுத்த மனிதர்களைப்போல அவரும் நீதிபோதனை செய்து முடிந்துபோன மனிதராகவே இருந்திருப்பார். இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான் பவுல், கிறிஸ்து எழுந்திருக்கவில்லை யென்றால், எங்கள் பிரசங்கமும் வீண்,   உங்கள் விசுவாசமும் வீண் என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

ஆனால், கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்த்தெழுதல் வெறும் நம்பிக்கையாக நாம் கூறிக்கொள்வது  மட்டுமல்ல, நம்மில் அது உருவாக்கும் மாற்றத்தின்மூலம் உறுதிப்படுகின்றது. அதுவே மீட்பு அனுபவம். கிறிஸ்து இரத்தம் சிந்தி உருவாக்கிய மீட்பு அனுபவத்தை நாம் பெறும்போது நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் பிரமாணத்துக்குள் வருகின்றோம்; கிறிஸ்து அனுபவத்தைப் பெறுகின்றோம். ஆம், கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்ப்பு வெறும் நம்பிக்கை மட்டுமல்ல, நமது ஆத்துமாவில் அது ஏற்படுத்தும் மாற்றம். அதன்மூலமே  அவரது உயிர்த்தெழுதல் உறுதிப்படுகின்றது.  

கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்ப்பு நமக்குக் கூறும் உண்மை, இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கையின் பின்னர் முடிவில்லா நித்திய வாழ்வு நமக்கு உள்ளது. கிறிஸ்து உயிர்த்ததுபோல நாமும் உயிர்த்து அதனைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம் என்பதாகும்.  "மரித்தோர் உயிர்த்தெழாவிட்டால், கிறிஸ்துவும் எழுந்திருக்கவில்லை. கிறிஸ்து எழுந்திராவிட்டால், உங்கள் விசுவாசம் வீணாயிருக்கும்; நீங்கள் இன்னும் உங்கள் பாவங்களில் இருப்பீர்கள்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 15: 16, 17) என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல்.

மேலும், கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்த்தெழுதல் நமக்குக் கூறும் உண்மை, அவர் உயிர்த்தெழுந்து பிதாவையோடு இருப்பதுபோல அவரை விசுவாசிக்கும் நாமும் உயிர்த்தெழுந்து அவரைப்போல பிதாவோடு இணைந்திருப்போம் என்பதே. உலகத் தோற்றத்துக்குமுன்னே ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பிதாவோடு இருந்தார். இந்த உலகத்தில் அவதரித்து, பாடுபட்டு மரித்து உயிர்த்தெழுந்து மகிமையடைந்தார். அந்த மகிமையை அவரை விசுவாசிக்கும் நாமும் காணவேண்டும் என்று இயேசு விரும்புகின்றார். எனவேதான் அவர் உலகத்திலிருக்கும்போது பின்வருமாறு ஜெபித்தார்:- 

"பிதாவே, உலகத்தோற்றத்துக்கு முன் நீர் என்னில் அன்பாயிருந்தபடியினால், நீர் எனக்குத் தந்த என்னுடைய மகிமையை நீர் எனக்குத் தந்தவர்கள் காணும்படியாக, நான் எங்கே இருக்கிறேனோ அங்கே அவர்களும் என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கவிரும்புகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 17: 24) ஆம், அவரை விசுவாசிக்கும் நாமும் இந்த உலகத்தில் அவர் அனுபவித்ததுபோல பாடுகளை அனுபவித்து மகிமையடையவேண்டும். அவரது மகிமையைக் மறுவுலகில் காணவேண்டும்.  இதுவே அவரது சித்தம். 

இப்படி நாம் பிதாவோடு இணைந்திருக்க வேண்டுமானால் நாம் பாவத்தை மேற்கொள்ளவேண்டும்; அதாவது நாம் பாவத்துக்கு மரித்தவர்களாக வேண்டும்.  கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவி  நமக்குள் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே நாம் பாவத்துக்கு மரித்தவர்களாக மாறமுடியும். அப்படி நாம் பாவத்துக்கு மரிக்கும்போது நமது ஆவியானது உயிருள்ளதாகின்றது. இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "மேலும் கிறிஸ்து உங்களிலிருந்தால் சரீரமானது பாவத்தினிமித்தம் மரித்ததாயும், ஆவியானது நீதியினிமித்தம் ஜீவனுள்ளதாயும் இருக்கும்." ( ரோமர் 8: 10) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

இப்படியாக கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியின் பிரமாணத்துக்குள் நாம் வாழும்போது பாவம், ஆத்தும மரணம் இவைகளிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறுகின்றோம். "கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினாலே ஜீவனுடைய ஆவியின் பிரமாணம் என்னைப் பாவம் மரணம் என்பவைகளின் பிரமாணத்தினின்று விடுதலையாக்கிற்றே." ( ரோமர் 8: 2) என்கின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவின் பிரமாணத்துக்குள் நாம் பாவமில்லாமல் வாழ்ந்து அவர் மரணத்தை ஜெயித்ததுபோல நாமும் ஜெயிக்கவேண்டும் என்பதே தேவ சித்தம். 

"இயேசுவை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுப்பினவருடைய ஆவி உங்களில் வாசமாயிருந்தால், கிறிஸ்துவை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுப்பினவர் உங்களில் வாசமாயிருக்கிற தம்முடைய ஆவியினாலே சாவுக்கேதுவான உங்கள் சரீரங்களையும் உயிர்ப்பிப்பார்." ( ரோமர் 8: 11)  உயிர்த்தெழுந்த கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியை உடையவனே ஆவிக்குரிய கிறிஸ்தவன். வெறுமனே உயிர்ப்பு விழாவைக் கொண்டாடி மகிழ்வதல்ல கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கை நம்மில் அவரது ஆவி செயல்பட அனுமதிக்கவேண்டும். "தேவனுடைய ஆவி உங்களில் வாசமாயிருந்தால், நீங்கள் மாம்சத்துக்குட்பட்டவர்களாயிராமல் ஆவிக்குட்பட்டவர்களாய் இருப்பீர்கள். கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியில்லாதவன் அவருடையவனல்ல." ( ரோமர் 8: 9) 

கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் நமது பாவங்கள் கழுவப்பட்டு கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியின் பிரமாணத்துக்குள் நுழைந்திட வேண்டுவோம். அப்போதுதான் நாம் பாவத்தை வென்று அவரோடுகூட நித்திய ஜீவனைப் பெற்று மகிழமுடியும்.

Scripture Meditation – No: 1,535
AATHAVAN 💚 April 20, 2025 – Sunday 💚

“But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:13–14, KJV)

What sets Christ apart from all the righteous and holy men of the world is His resurrection. If He had not risen from the dead, we could not rightly call Him God. He would have been just another good man who preached righteousness, like many others throughout history. This is exactly what the Apostle Paul emphasizes: If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

But Christ’s resurrection is not merely a belief we profess—it is affirmed through the transformation it brings in our lives. That transformation is the experience of salvation. When we receive the salvation that Christ made possible by shedding His blood, we enter into a relationship with Christ and begin to experience Him personally. Yes, His resurrection is more than a belief; it brings about a profound change in our souls. It is this change that confirms the truth of His resurrection.

The truth proclaimed by Christ’s resurrection is this: there is eternal life beyond this earthly existence. Just as Christ rose again, we too shall rise and partake of that eternal life. The Apostle Paul goes on to say: “For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:16–17, KJV)

Furthermore, Christ’s resurrection declares that just as He rose and is now with the Father, we who believe in Him will also rise and be united with the Father. Even before the foundation of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ was with the Father. He came into this world, suffered, died, and rose again in glory. Jesus desires that those who believe in Him also behold that same glory. That’s why He prayed:

“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24, KJV)

Yes, we who believe in Him must also endure sufferings as He did and ultimately enter into His glory. It is His will that we behold His glory.

To be united with the Father, we must die to sin. Only when the Spirit of Christ dwells in us can we truly die to sin. When that happens, our spirit becomes alive. Paul explains it this way: “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8:10, KJV)

When we live according to the law of the Spirit of Christ, we are set free from sin and spiritual death. “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2, KJV)

Yes, beloved, it is God’s will that we live without sin under the law of Christ and, just as He triumphed over death, we too should be victorious.

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11, KJV)

The one who possesses the Spirit of the risen Christ is the true spiritual Christian. Celebrating Easter alone is not enough—we must allow His Spirit to work within us.

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8:9, KJV)

Let us be washed of our sins by the blood of Christ and enter into the law of His Spirit. Only then can we truly overcome sin and rejoice in eternal life with Him.

🍒Meditation verse - ஏசாயா 53 :2, 3 / Isaiah 53:2-3

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,534

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 19, 2025. 💚சனிக்கிழமை 

"அவருக்கு அழகுமில்லை, செளந்தரியமுமில்லை; அவரைப் பார்க்கும்போது, நாம் அவரை விரும்பத்தக்க ரூபம் அவருக்கு இல்லாதிருந்தது. அவர் அசட்டைப்பண்ணப்பட்டவரும், மனுஷரால் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டவரும், துக்கம் நிறைந்தவரும், பாடு அநுபவித்தவருமாயிருந்தார்; அவரைவிட்டு, நம்முடைய முகங்களை மறைத்துக்கொண்டோம்; அவர் அசட்டைபண்ணப்பட்டிருந்தார்; அவரை எண்ணாமற்போனோம்." ( ஏசாயா 53 :2, 3)

நேற்றைய வேதாகமத் தியானத்தில் நாம் பார்த்ததுபோல, ஏசாயா தீர்க்கத்தரிசி நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகளைக் குறித்து கண்ட தரிசனத்தின் பகுதியே இன்றைய தியானமும். ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது உடல், ஆவி, ஆத்துமா அனைத்தையும் நமது பாவங்களுக்குப் பரிகாரமாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார். வேதாகமத்தில், அவர் முற்றிலும் அழகுள்ளவர் என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். "அவர் வாய் மிகவும் மதுரமாயிருக்கிறது; அவர் முற்றிலும் அழகுள்ளவர். இவரே என் நேசர்; எருசலேமின் குமாரத்திகளே! இவர் என் சிநேகிதர்." ( உன்னதப்பாட்டு 5: 16)

ஆனால் இந்த முற்றிலும் அழகுள்ள நேசர் தனது அழகை நமக்காக இழந்தார். அவலட்சணமான தோற்றத்தை நமக்காக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். சில திருவிழா காலங்களில் பிச்சையெடுக்க சிலர் ஊனமுற்ற தங்கள் உறவினர்களை சாலைஓரங்களில் கிடத்தியிருப்பார்கள். நாம் அவர்களுக்கு தர்மம் கொடுத்தாலும் நின்று அவர்களைப் பார்க்கமாட்டோம். காரணம் அவர்களது ரூபம் பார்க்கத்தக்கதாக இருக்காது. ஆனால் அதே நேரம் ஒரு திரைப்பட நடிகரையோ நடிகையையோ பார்க்க நாம் ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, முகப்பொலிவு மனிதர்களுக்கு முக்கியமானது. அழகுவேறு, முகப்பொலிவு என்பது வேறு. ஒருவர் அழகாக இருக்கவேண்டுமென்று அவசியமில்லை; ஆனால் அவரது முகப்பார்வை மனிதர்கள் பார்க்கதக்கவிதமாக இருக்கவேண்டும். பல அரசியல் தலைவர்கள் அழகுள்ளவர்களல்ல, ஆனால் மக்கள் அவர்களை விரும்புகின்றனர். காரணம் அவர்களது முகப்பொலிவு. 

அனால் நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, நமக்காகத் தனது  அழகு, முகப்பொலிவு இவற்றை இழந்தார்.  அவரைப் பார்க்கும்போது, நாம் அவரை விரும்பத்தக்க ரூபம் அவருக்கு இல்லாதிருந்தது. அவரைக்கண்டபோது அவலட்சணமான பிச்சைக்காரர்களைக் கண்டு முகத்தைத் திருப்புவதுபோல  நம்முடைய முகங்களை மறைத்துக்கொண்டோம்; அவர் அசட்டைபண்ணப்பட்டிருந்தார்; அவரை எண்ணாமற்போனோம் என்கின்றார் ஏசாயா. 

ஆனாலும் எல்லோரும் அவரை அப்படி  விட்டு விலகி விடவில்லை. அவரோடு சிலுவையடியில் அவரை அன்பு செய்தவர்கள் பலர் நின்றிருந்தனர். அவர்கள் அவரது அழகுக்காக அங்கு நிற்கவில்லை. மாறாக, அவர்மீதுகொண்ட அன்பினால் அங்கே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தனர். 

ஒரு பத்திரிக்கைச் செய்தியைச் சில மாதங்களுக்குமுன் வாசித்தேன். ஒரு வாலிபன் அழகான ஒரு பெண்ணைக் காதலித்து வந்தான். ஆனால் எதிர்பாராத ஒரு தீவிபத்தில் சிக்கிய அந்தப்பெண்ணின் முகம் அவலட்சணமாக மாறிப்போனது. அதன்பின்னர் அவனது பெற்றோரும் உறவினர்களும் அழகான வேறொரு பெண்ணை அவனுக்கு மணமுடித்துவைக்க விரும்பினர்.  ஆனாலும் அவன் சம்மதிக்கவில்லை. அந்த முன்பு காதலித்த அவலட்சணமான தோற்றமாய் மாறிப்போன பெண்ணையே ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு மனைவியாக்கிக்கொண்டான். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதுபோலவே தேவன்  நமது வாழ்க்கையில் செய்யும் சில செயல்கள் நமக்கு அழகாகத் தெரியாமலிருக்கலாம்.  நாம் விரும்பத்தக்க செயல்களை நமது வாழ்வில் அவர் நிறைவேற்றாமலிருக்கலாம், ஆனாலும் நாம் அவரை  அசட்டைப்பண்ணாமலும் புறக்கணிக்காமலும் வாழ்வோம்.  அவரைவிட்டு, நம்முடைய முகங்களை மறைத்துக்கொள்ளாமல் இருப்போம். 

காரணம் அந்த அவலட்சணமான, மனிதர்களால் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்ட அவரது முகம்தான் மகிமையான ஒளியை உலகிற்குக் கொண்டுவந்தது. ஆனால் அவிசுவாசிகளுக்கு அந்த ஒளியின் மகிமை தெரியாது. இந்த உலகத்தின் அதிபதியாகிய சாத்தான் அந்த ஒளி மனிதர்களின் மனதில் ஒளிராதபடி மனத்தினைக் குருடாக்கினான் என்று வேதம் கூறுகின்றது.  "தேவனுடைய சாயலாயிருக்கிற கிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமையான சுவிசேஷத்தின் ஒளி, அவிசுவாசிகளாகிய அவர்களுக்குப் பிரகாசமாயிராதபடிக்கு, இப்பிரபஞ்சத்தின் தேவனானவன் அவர்களுடைய மனதைக் குருடாக்கினான்." (2 கொரிந்தியர் 4: 4)

அவரிடம் ஆசீர்வாதங்களை மட்டுமே எதிர்பார்ப்பதுதான் அவரது அழகை மட்டும் பார்ப்பதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. நமக்காகவே தனது அழகையும் செளந்தரியத்தையும் அவர் இழந்ததையும் நாம் எண்ணிப்பார்க்கவேண்டும். அவருக்கு ஏற்பில்லாத வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதே அவரை அசட்டைபண்ணுவதைக் குறிக்கிறது;  பாவத்தில் தொடர்ந்து வாழ்வதே நம்முடைய முகங்களை அவரைவிட்டு மறைத்துக்கொள்வதைக் குறிக்கிறது. அவரைவிட்டு, நம்முடைய முகங்களை மறைத்துக்கொள்ளாமலும் அசட்டைபண்ணாமலும் இருப்போம்.  அதனையே அவர் நம்மிடம் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார்.

“He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” — Isaiah 53:2-3 (KJV)

As we saw in yesterday’s Scripture meditation, today’s meditation is also part of the vision seen by the prophet Isaiah concerning the sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ surrendered His body, soul, and spirit as a sacrifice for our sins. In Scripture, we also read that He is altogether lovely: “His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.” — Song of Solomon 5:16 (KJV)

Yet, this Beloved, who is altogether lovely, lost His beauty for our sake. He took upon Himself a disfigured appearance for us. During certain festivals, some people abandon their disabled relatives by the roadside in hopes of collecting alms. While we may give them charity, we rarely stop to look at them. The reason? Their appearance is not pleasing to behold. Yet, at the same time, we are eager to gaze at movie stars and celebrities.

Yes, dear ones, outward appearance is important to people. Beauty is one thing; appearance is another. A person need not be beautiful, but their face must be presentable to be socially acceptable. Many political leaders are not conventionally beautiful, yet people admire them — because of their appearance or public image.

But our Lord Jesus Christ gave up His beauty and pleasant appearance for our sake. "When we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him." As Isaiah prophesied, when we saw Him, we turned away our faces from Him as one would from a disfigured beggar. He was despised and we esteemed Him not.

Still, not everyone turned away from Him. At the cross, many who loved Him stood by. They were not there because of His beauty, but because of their deep love for Him.

A few months ago, I read a news article about a young man who fell in love with a beautiful girl. However, the girl met with a terrible accident, which disfigured her face. His parents and relatives tried to arrange his marriage with another beautiful woman. But he refused. Instead, he chose to marry the same girl whose appearance had been disfigured.

Yes, dear ones, sometimes God’s work in our lives may not seem beautiful to us. He may not fulfil our desires as we expect. Even so, let us not despise or reject Him. Let us not hide our faces from Him.

For it was that disfigured, rejected face that brought the glorious light to this world. But the unbelieving do not perceive the glory of that light. The Bible says that Satan, the god of this world, has blinded their minds so that the light does not shine in them:

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,

lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” — 2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV)

To expect only blessings from Him is to value Him merely for His beauty. But we must also reflect on how He gave up His beauty and comeliness for our sake. To live a life that is not pleasing to Him is to despise Him. To continue in sin is to hide our faces from Him.

Let us neither despise Him nor turn away our faces from Him. That is what He expects from us.

🍒Meditation verse - ஏசாயா 53: 4 / Isaiah 53:4

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,533

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 18, 2025. 💚வெள்ளிக்கிழமை  

"மெய்யாகவே அவர் நம்முடைய பாடுகளை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, நம்முடைய துக்கங்களைச் சுமந்தார்; நாமோ, அவர் தேவனால் அடிபட்டு வாதிக்கப்பட்டு, சிறுமைப்பட்டவரென்று எண்ணினோம்." ( ஏசாயா 53: 4)

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பிறப்பதற்குச் சுமார் 750 ஆண்டுகளுக்குமுன் ஏசாயா தீர்க்கத்தரிசிக்குத்  தேவன் கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகளை முன்னறிவித்துக் கொடுத்தார். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகளை  ஒரு திரைப்படம் பார்ப்பதுபோல மிகத் தெளிவாக ஏசாயா கண்டார். இது எத்தனை பெரிய ஆசீர்வாதம் பாருங்கள். கிறிஸ்துவைக் குறித்த மிகத் துல்லியமான தீர்க்கதரிசனங்களை ஏசாயா கண்டார். ஏசாயா 53 ஆம் அதிகாரத்தை நாம் வாசிக்கும்போது எப்படி இந்த மனிதன் கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகளையும் மரணத்தையும் நேரில் பார்ப்பதுபோல 750 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே  கண்டு எழுதினார் என்பது நம்மை வியக்கவைக்கும். 

மட்டுமல்ல, இந்தத் தீர்க்கதரிசனமே கிறிஸ்துவின் தெய்வீகத்தை நமக்குப் புரியவைக்கும். கிறிஸ்து திடீரென உலகினில் தோன்றிய சாதாரண மனிதனல்ல, அவர் பிதாவாகிய தேவனால் மீட்புத் திட்டத்துக்காக முன்குறிக்கப்பட்ட தேவ குமாரன் என்பதனை நாம் புரியச் செய்யும். தொடர்ந்து ஏசாயா,  அவரை ஏன் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் உலகிற்கு அனுப்பினார் என்பதனை விளக்குகின்றார்.  அதாவது, "நாமெல்லாரும் ஆடுகளைப்போல வழிதப்பித் திரிந்து, அவனவன் தன்தன் வழியிலே போனோம்; கர்த்தரோ நம்மெல்லாருடைய அக்கிரமத்தையும் அவர்மேல் விழப்பண்ணினார்." ( ஏசாயா 53: 6)

மனிதர்களாகிய நாம் வழிதப்பிப்போன ஆடுகளைப்போல பாவ வாழ்க்கையில் அவரவர் விருப்பத்துக்கு நடந்தோம். அந்தப் பாவத்தின் பாரங்கள் அனைத்தையும் தேவன் அவர்மேல் சுமத்தி நம்மைப் பாவத்திலிருந்து மீட்டார். பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக் காலத்தில் மிருகங்களின் இரத்தமே பாவத்துக்கு பரிகாரமாகச் சிந்தப்பட்டது. ஆனால் அந்த மிருகங்களின் இரத்தம் பாவத்திலிருந்து மனிதர்களை முற்றிலும் மீட்கவில்லை. எனவே பாவமில்லாத கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் மனிதர்களது பாவ மன்னிப்புக்காகச் சிந்தப்பட்டது.  நகர வாசலுக்குப் புறம்பே அவர் பாடுபட்டார்; சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டார். 

"ஏனென்றால், எந்த மிருகங்களுடைய இரத்தம் பாவங்களினிமித்தமாகப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரதான ஆசாரியனாலே கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறதோ, அந்த மிருகங்களின் உடல்கள் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும். அந்தப்படியே, இயேசுவும் தம்முடைய சொந்த இரத்தத்தினாலே ஜனத்தைப் பரிசுத்தஞ்செய்யும்படியாக நகர வாசலுக்குப் புறம்பே பாடுபட்டார்." ( எபிரெயர் 13: 11, 12) அதாவது அவர் ஒரு மிருகத்தைப்போல நகருக்கு வெளியே கொல்லப்பட்டார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, இந்தக் குறிப்பிட்ட  நாளில் ஒரு நாடகம்போல வெறுமனே ஆலயத்துக்குச் சென்று அழுது கூப்பாடுபோட்டு பின்னர் தொடர்ந்து நமது பாவ வாழ்க்கையிலேயே மூழ்கி இருப்போமானால் நாம் ஆக்கினைக்குத் தப்பமாட்டோம் என்று வேதம் நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது. ஆம், "தேவனுடைய குமாரனைக் காலின் கீழ் மிதித்து, தன்னைப் பரிசுத்தஞ்செய்த உடன்படிக்கையின் இரத்தத்தை அசுத்தமென்றெண்ணி, கிருபையின் ஆவியை நிந்திக்கிறவன் எவ்வளவு கொடிதான ஆக்கினைக்குப் பாத்திரவானாயிருப்பான் என்பதை யோசித்துப்பாருங்கள்." ( எபிரெயர் 10: 29)

எனவே, கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். "அன்பான ஆண்டவரே, உமது பரிசுத்த இரத்தத்தால் என்னைக் கழுவிச் சுத்திகரியும். இதுவரை வழிதவறிய ஆட்டைப்போலத்  திரிந்து உமது பரிசுத்த இரத்தத்தை அவமதித்துவிட்டேன். என்னை மன்னியும். என்னைப் புதிய மனிதனாக மாற்றும். உமது இரட்சிப்பின் மாண்பினை நான் அனுபவிக்கச் செய்யும்." என மெய்யான மனஸ்தாபத்துடன் கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் நமது பாவங்கள் கழுவப்பட மன்றாடுவோம். நமக்கு நினைவு தெரிந்த நாளிலிருந்து  இதுவரை செய்த பாவங்களை உள்ளத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து ஒவ்வொன்றாக எண்ணிப்பார்த்து மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம். அப்போது, நிச்சயம் ஒரு புதிய அனுபவத்தை நாம் அனுபவிக்கமுடியும். அதுவே இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவம். இந்த அனுபவத்தைத்  தந்து நம்மைத் தன்னுடையவர்கள் ஆக்கிடவே கிறிஸ்து உலகினில் வந்தார்.

AATHAVAN 💚 April 18, 2025 💚 Friday

“Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” (Isaiah 53:4, KJV)

About 750 years before the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, God revealed the sufferings of Christ to the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah saw the sufferings of Christ as though watching a vivid film. What a great blessing this is! Isaiah saw very accurate and detailed prophecies concerning Christ. When we read Isaiah chapter 53, we are amazed at how this man could witness and write about Christ’s sufferings and death centuries before it actually happened.

Moreover, this prophecy helps us understand the divinity of Christ. It reveals that Christ did not suddenly appear on the earth as an ordinary man, but He is the Son of God, divinely appointed for the plan of redemption. Isaiah further explains why God the Father sent Him into the world:

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6, KJV)

We, as humans, have gone astray like lost sheep, living in sin according to our own desires. God laid all the burden of our sins upon Him and redeemed us from them. In the Old Testament times, the blood of animals was shed as an atonement for sin. However, the blood of animals could not fully redeem mankind from sin. Therefore, the sinless blood of Christ was shed for the forgiveness of humanity. He suffered outside the city gate and was crucified on the cross.

“For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.” (Hebrews 13:11-12, KJV)

In other words, He was killed outside the city like a sacrificial animal.

Beloved, if we go to church and act out a spiritual drama—crying, shouting, and then returning to our sinful lives—Scripture warns us that we will not escape judgment. Yes:

“Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:29, KJV)

Therefore, let us surrender ourselves to Christ, saying:

“Loving Lord, wash and cleanse me with Thy holy blood. Until now, like a wandering sheep, I have strayed and despised Thy precious blood. Forgive me. Transform me into a new person. Let me experience the glory of Thy salvation.”

Let us earnestly plead with genuine repentance for our sins to be washed away by the blood of Christ. Let us recall and confess every sin committed since the day we became conscious of our actions, from the depths of our hearts. Then we will surely experience something new—that is, the experience of salvation.

Christ came into the world to give us this experience and make us His own.

🍒Meditation verse - 1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5: 7, 8 / 1 Thessalonians 5:7,8

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,532

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 17, 2025. 💚வியாழக்கிழமை 

"தூங்குகிறவர்கள் இராத்திரியிலே தூங்குவார்கள்; வெறிகொள்ளுகிறவர்கள் இராத்திரியிலே வெறிகொள்ளுவார்கள். பகலுக்குரியவர்களாகிய நாமோ தெளிந்தவர்களாயிருந்து, விசுவாசம் அன்பு என்னும் மார்க்கவசத்தையும், இரட்சிப்பின் நம்பிக்கையென்னும் தலைச்சீராவையும் தரித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கக் கடவோம்." (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5: 7, 8)

நம் ஆண்டவரும் இரட்சகருமான இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகையினைக்குறித்து எழுதும்போது அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகை எப்போது நிகழும் என்பது யாருக்கும் தெரியாது. ஆனால் நாம் எப்போது அவர் வந்தாலும் அவரைச் சந்திக்க ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்று அவர் வலியுறுத்துகின்றார்.

"தூங்குகின்றவர்கள்" என்று அவர் கூறும் வார்த்தை, கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகையினைக்குறித்து அலட்சியமாக இருபவர்களைக் குறிக்கின்றது. அதாவது அவரது வருகையினைக் குறித்து எந்த ஆர்வமுமில்லாமல் இருபதைக்  குறிக்கின்றது.  "வெறிகொள்ளுகிறவர்கள்" என்பது குடிவெறி கொண்டிருப்பதை மட்டுமல்ல; மாறாக, பாவச் சேற்றில் சிக்குண்டு, பாவத்தின்மீது நாட்டம்கொண்டு வாழ்வதைக் குறிக்கின்றது. 

இதனையே அவர், "தூங்குகிறவர்கள் இராத்திரியிலே தூங்குவார்கள்; வெறிகொள்ளுகிறவர்கள் இராத்திரியிலே வெறிகொள்ளுவார்கள்" என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றார். அதாவது இத்தகைய மனிதர்கள் இருளின் பிள்ளைகள். அவர்களில் ஒளி இல்லாததால் அவர்களுக்கு வாழ்க்கை எப்போதும் இரவாகவே இருக்கின்றது.  

தேவன் நம்மை இப்படி வாழ அழைக்கவில்லை. நாம் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் மீட்கப்பட்டவர்கள்; அந்த வியத்தகு ஒளியின் பிள்ளைகள். இதனையே அவர், "நீங்களெல்லாரும் வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளும், பகலின் பிள்ளைகளுமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; நாம் இரவுக்கும் இருளுக்கும் உள்ளானவர்களல்லவே." (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5: 5) என்கின்றார்.  இந்தப் "பகலுக்குரியவர்களாகிய நாமோ 

தெளிந்தவர்களாயிருந்து,      விசுவாசம் அன்பு என்னும் மார்க்கவசத்தையும், இரட்சிப்பின் நம்பிக்கையென்னும் தலைச்சீராவையும் தரித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கக் கடவோம்" என்கின்றார். 

அதாவது, கிறிஸ்துவால் மீட்கப்பட்ட ஒளியின் பிள்ளைகளாகிய நாம் அவரது வருகையினைக்குறித்து அலட்சியமில்லாமல், பாவத்தில் விழுந்துவிடாமல் தெளிவுள்ளவர்களாக கிறிஸ்துவின் ஒளியில் வாழவேண்டும் என்கின்றார்; மட்டுமல்ல,  கிறிஸ்துவின் மேலுள்ள விசுவாசத்தில் குறைவுபடாமல், சகோதர அன்புடன் நமது இரட்சிப்பை இழந்துபோகாமல்  வாழவேண்டும். 

மேலும், ஒருவரும் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் எல்லோரும் மீட்படையவேண்டுமென்று தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். இருளின் மனநிலையோடு தூங்குபவர்களாக இருந்தாலும் விழித்திருப்பவர்களாக இருந்தாலும் நாம் அவரோடுகூட பிழைத்திருக்கவே அவர் விரும்புகின்றார். "நாம் விழித்திருப்பவர்களானாலும், நித்திரையடைந்தவர்களானாலும், தம்முடனேகூட நாம் ஏகமாய்ப் பிழைத்திருக்கும்படி அவர் நமக்காக மரித்தாரே." (1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5: 10)

எனவே விழித்திருக்கும் நாம் விசுவாசம் அன்பு என்னும் மார்க்கவசத்தையும், இரட்சிப்பின் நம்பிக்கையென்னும் தலைச்சீராவையும் தரித்துக் கொண்டு எப்போதும் கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகைக்கு ஆயத்தமாக இருப்பது மட்டுமல்ல, தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் சக மனிதர்களை எழுப்பிவிட முயல்பவர்களாகவும் இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம்.  

கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் உண்மையாக அனுபவித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறோம் என்றால் அந்த அன்பை மற்றவர்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவேண்டுமெனும் ஆர்வம் நமக்குள் இயல்பாகவே ஏற்படும். அந்த ஆர்வத்துடன் அன்போடு கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் அறிவிக்கும்போது தூங்குபவர்கள் விழிப்படைவார்கள். அப்படி மற்றவர்களை உணர்வூட்டும் பலத்தையும் ஞானத்தையும் நமக்கு அருளும்படி தேவனிடம் வேண்டுதல் செய்வோம்.

Scripture Meditation – No. 1,532
AATHAVAN 💚 April 17, 2025 – Thursday

“For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:7,8 (KJV)

While writing about the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul presents today’s meditation verse. No one knows the exact time of Christ’s return. But Paul emphasizes that we must always be prepared to meet Him whenever He comes.

The term “they that sleep” refers to those who are indifferent about the return of Christ—those who live with no interest or awareness of His coming. The phrase “they that be drunken” doesn’t merely imply drunkenness with alcohol; rather, it speaks of those who are entangled in the mire of sin and live with a love for it.

This is what Paul means when he says,

“For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” Such people are children of darkness. Since they do not have the light, their life is perpetually shrouded in night.

But God has not called us to live in such a way. We have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, and we are the children of that marvellous light. As Paul says: “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:5 (KJV)

He continues, “But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:8 (KJV)

In other words, as redeemed children of light, we must not be indifferent about the return of Christ or fall into sin. Instead, we should live in clarity and sobriety, walking in His light. We must remain steadfast in our faith in Christ, be filled with brotherly love, and live in such a way that we never lose the joy of our salvation.

Furthermore, it is God’s desire that none should perish but that all should be saved. Whether we are awake or asleep, He wants us to live together with Him. “Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.”— 1 Thessalonians 5:10 (KJV)

Therefore, those of us who are awake must not only remain clothed with the breastplate of faith and love and the helmet of salvation, being ever ready for His return, but we must also strive to awaken those who are still sleeping in darkness.

If we are truly experiencing Christ, it is only natural that we will have a genuine desire to share that love with others. When we proclaim Christ with that loving passion, the sleeping ones will awaken. Let us earnestly ask God to grant us the wisdom and power to stir up others to this awareness.

🍒Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 27: 5 / Psalm 27:5

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,531

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 16, 2025. 💚புதன்கிழமை 

"தீங்குநாளில் அவர் என்னைத் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து, என்னைத் தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து, என்னைக் கன்மலையின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார்." ( சங்கீதம் 27: 5)

தேவனுக்குள் உண்மையாக வாழும் மனிதன் தனது நம்பிக்கையை வெளிப்படுத்தும் வார்த்தைகளே இன்றைய தியான வசனம். இந்த வார்த்தைகளை தாவீது ராஜா தான் அனுபவித்த அனுபவத்தால் கூறுகின்றார். பலவேளைகளில் தேவன் தாவீதை அவரது பகைவர்களுக்குத் தப்புவித்ததை நாம் வேதாகமத்தை வாசிக்கும்போது கண்டுகொள்ளலாம். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தேவனுக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது தேவன் நம்மையும் இதுபோலத் தப்புவிப்பார். தேவன் எவ்வாறு தன்னை தப்புவித்தார் என்பதை தாவீது, "அவர் என்னைத் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து, என்னைத் தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து" என்று கூறுகின்றார். அதாவது எதிரிகள் அவரை நெருக்கும்போது தேவனே அவரைத் தனது கூடாரத்தில் ஒளித்துவைத்து தப்புவித்தார் என்கின்றார். 

மட்டுமல்ல, அவரை நெருக்கிய எதிரிகளை தேவன் அழித்து ஒழித்தார். இதனையே அவர் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்துக்கு முன்பாக இரண்டாம் வசனத்தில் கூறுகின்றார், "என் சத்துருக்களும் என் பகைஞருமாகிய பொல்லாதவர்கள் என் மாம்சத்தைப் பட்சிக்க, என்னை நெருங்குகையில் அவர்களே இடறிவிழுந்தார்கள்." ( சங்கீதம் 27: 2) என்று. மட்டுமல்ல, தொடர்ந்து தேவன், "என்னைக் கன்மலையின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார்." என்று தாவீது தனது விசுவாசத்தை அறிக்கையிடுகின்றார். 

யோசேப்பின் வாழ்கையினைப் பாருங்கள், அவரது சொந்தக் சகோதரர்களே அவரைக் கொலை செய்ய முயன்றார்கள். பின்னர் அவரை இருபது வெள்ளிக்காசுக்கு விற்பனைசெய்தார்கள். எகிப்தில் போத்திபாரின் மனைவி அவருக்கு எதிரியாக இருந்து அவரைச் சிறைச்சாலைக் கைதியாக்கினாள். ஆனால் அவரைத்  தேவன் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து, தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து, எகிப்தின் பிரதம மந்திரியாக உயர்த்தினார். 

நாமும்  தாவீதைப்போல, யோசேப்பைபோல  உறுதியான விசுவாசத்துடனும் தேவனுக்குமுன் உண்மையுடனும் இருப்போமானால் நமக்கும் அவர் இதுபோலச் செய்ய இன்றும் அவர் உண்மையுள்ளவராய் இருக்கின்றார். உலக வாழ்வில் நமக்குப் பல்வேறுவித தீங்குகள் ஏற்பட வாய்ப்புண்டு. தீராத நோய்கள், பிரச்சனைகள், துன்பங்கள், கடன்பாரங்கள் இவை நம்மை நெருக்கும் சூழ்நிலையில் நாமும் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அறிக்கையிட்டத் தாவீதைப்போல நமது விசுவாசத்தை அறிக்கையிட்டு ஜெபிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

"நான் தேவனின் கரத்தில் இருக்கிறேன், அவர் என்னைத் தம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் மறைத்து, என்னைத் தமது கூடார மறைவிலே ஒளித்துவைத்து, இந்தக் கொடியத்  துன்பச்சூழ்நிலையிலிருந்து என்னைக் காப்பாற்றுவார். என் சத்துருக்களும் என் பகைஞருமாகிய இந்தப் பொல்லாத காரியங்கள் என்னை விழுங்கப்பார்க்கையில் அவற்றை அவர் மாற்றுவார். மட்டுமல்ல, மற்றவர்களுக்குமுன் அற்பமாகக் காணப்படும் என்னை அவர் கன்மலையின்மேல் உயர்த்துவார்." என்று விசுவாசத்துடன் கூறுவோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, அவரது கூடாரத்தின் மறைவில் அடைக்கலமாகச் சேர்ந்துகொள்வோம். தாவீதை அரசனாக உயர்த்திய தேவன், யோசேப்பை எகிப்தின் பிரதமராக உயர்த்திய தேவன் நம்மையும் உயர்த்த வல்லவராகவே இருக்கிறார்.

Scripture Meditation - No. 1,531
AATHAVAN 💚 April 16, 2025 💚 Wednesday

“For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” (Psalm 27:5, KJV)

Today’s meditation verse is a confession of faith by a man who walks faithfully with God. King David speaks these words from his own experience. As we read through the Bible, we find many instances where God delivered David from his enemies.

Beloved, when we live a life that pleases God, He too will deliver us in the same way. David testifies about how God delivered him, saying, “He shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me.” That is, when his enemies closed in on him, God Himself sheltered and delivered him by hiding him in His tabernacle.

Not only that, God also destroyed the enemies who pursued David. Just a verse earlier, David says, “When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.” (Psalm 27:2, KJV)

And he continues to affirm his faith by declaring, “He shall set me up upon a rock.”

Consider the life of Joseph. His own brothers conspired to kill him and eventually sold him for twenty pieces of silver. Later, in Egypt, Potiphar’s wife falsely accused him and had him imprisoned. But God hid him in His pavilion, covered him in His secret place, and in time lifted him up to be the Prime Minister of Egypt.

If we too, like David and Joseph, remain steadfast in our faith and true before God, He is faithful even today to do the same for us. In our earthly lives, we may face many kinds of troubles—chronic illnesses, problems, sorrows, and burdens of debt. In such times of distress, it is essential that we, like David in today’s verse, proclaim our faith and pray boldly:

“I am in the hand of God. He will hide me in His pavilion, He will shelter me in the secret of His tabernacle, and He will deliver me from this dire situation. When wicked things—my enemies and foes—attempt to devour me, He will turn them away. Not only that, He will exalt me before others, even if they see me now as insignificant. He will set me upon a rock.”

Yes, dear ones, let us take refuge in the secret place of His tabernacle. The God who exalted David as king and Joseph as the ruler of Egypt is still able to lift us up in His time.
