God Loves Me

The Bible tells us, “God is Love!” (1 John 4:8). The Lord is our Creator and cares a great deal about us. “See how much the Father has loved us? His love is so great that we are called God’s children” (1 John 3:1 TEV).

God wants you to have a happy life. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Perhaps you’ve had moments in your life when you wondered, “Is this all there is?” Maybe you’ve felt there was something missing and felt a longing to understand the purpose of life—your life! Some people feel emptiness in their heart that nothing seems to fill. Others wonder, “Where did I come from?” or “Why is there so much hatred and evil in the world?”

The Bible tells us there is a loving and compassionate God 

who created our world in order to have a meaningful and 

joyful relationship with us. Our planet was originally created 

perfectly. There was no death or pain; no tears were shed 

over broken relationships. Everything functioned 

harmoniously.

My Sin Separates Me from God

Sin has broken our connection with God. “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2). Everyone has broken God’s perfect law of love. “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Unless something happens, we are all doomed to die. “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23).

An enemy named Satan came to our world and tempted the 

first couple, Adam and Eve, to believe a lie. The enemy 

convinced them to think God was not kind. They chose to 

turn away from God and believe Satan. It was a serious 

mistake because they cut themselves off from the source of 

all light and life. Their choice destined our planet and all 

people to be under a new ruler, Satan, who would eventually 

destroy all people. Unless someone interceded.

Jesus Connects Me Back to God

Because of God’s great love for you, Jesus willingly took the 

wages of sin upon Himself. Christ died so people could live 

eternally and not have to die. Jesus’ life without sin covers 

my life of sin so that I can have eternal life—salvation.

Christ’s death was accepted by God as full payment for all my past sins. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Someone did intercede for us. Even though our first parents turned away from God and believed a lie, the Lord provided a way out, a plan to save people from destruction and eternal death. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, chose to take the penalty of breaking away from God. Sin is turning from God’s law of love and life and the result of sin is death. Jesus, who was equal with God, willingly laid down His life, dying for the sins of the whole world. He provides His perfect life and sacrifice for our sinful and broken lives.

Jesus offers the gift of salvation freely. It is not something we 

can buy but only accept. We deserve death since all of us 

have sinned and turned from God. Jesus extends eternal life 

to us. People do not have to live meaningless lives that end 

in hopelessness and death. God desires to restore mankind 

into a life-giving relationship and give people new hearts that 

desire the Lord and turn toward the way of life.

This free gift of salvation can be ours if only we will accept it.

How Do I Accept Jesus Into My Life?

When I accept Christ’s death, as a gift, I become a child of God. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

What does Jesus death on the cross mean in my life? “To all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God” (John 1: 12 RSV). If you would like to receive Christ into your life right now, follow these simple steps:

1.        Recognize you must die. “The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23).

2.        Realize you cannot save yourself. “Without Me (God) you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

3.        Repent and confess to God that you are a sinner. “All have sinned…” (Romans 3:23).

4.        Believe Jesus died for your sins. “For God so loved the world that He gave…” (John 3:16).

5.        Believe that Jesus forgives you of sin. “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)

6.        Believe that you have eternal life. “He who believes in Me has everlasting life” (John 6:47).

Now live in faith everyday in your new way of life. “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him” (Colossians 2:6).

If someone gives you a gift, it is not yours until you receive it. Jesus holds out before you the gift of salvation, but how do you take it? The Bible tells us that we must first sense our need of Christ. This comes as the Holy Spirit speaks to our conscience and we realize our sins have separated us from God. Then we are led to repent of our sins, which means we acknowledge in our hearts that our wrong choices have been put on Christ and destroyed His life on the cross.

Repenting means to be so disgusted with our old way of life 

that we turn away from it and seek a new way in Jesus. We 

confess our sinfulness to God in prayer and tell the Lord we 

are very sorry. When we come before God, broken in heart 

because of our sinful choices, and confess our sinfulness, 

we may claim the Lord’s promise to forgive us and make our 

hearts clean. We may be restored back into a right 

relationship with God, a friendship that brings us life and 

love and joy.

You can know you have received this gift of salvation when 

you accept it by faith.

New Life in Christ

When I join God’s family, how does God’s love change my life? “When anyone is joined to Christ, he is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17, TEV). When a person accepts Christ, the old sinful nature is destroyed.

Jesus gives the new Christian a new spiritual life. Then the Christian hates the old life of sin. The new Christian begins to experience freedom from guilt and realizes how empty his life was without Christ. In one minute God proves more happiness than a whole lifetime of serving the Devil. Why did I wait so long to accept God’s love?

After we genuinely confess our sins to God and ask the Lord to wash our hearts clean, we must choose to believe this truly has happened. We must have faith and say, “God promised to take away my sin. I believe that has taken place and I now thank Jesus for the work He is doing in my heart.” Even if our faith in God is weak or tiny, the Lord wants us to exercise our belief in the gift of salvation. As we walk in this new belief, it will grow stronger each day.

Like any earthly relationship that stays strong, we must maintain our connection to God. This happens by studying the Bible, the primary way the Lord has been revealed to us. We may also talk with God in prayer and reflect on the way Jesus leads in our life. Meeting with other Christians and sharing how God is working in our lives with other people also will keep our belief in the Lord strong.

So, if you have not yet given your heart to the Lord and feel ready to take that step, you may kneel down in front of your computer and pray this prayer from your heart:

“Dear Lord, I realize that you love me and want to have a relationship with me. But I have learned that I am a sinner and my evil choices and actions lead to death. I confess my sinfulness to You. Please come into my heart and remove all sin and fill me with Your love. Because Jesus Christ took my sins upon Himself and suffered for me, I freely accept His offer of eternal life. Thank you for what you have done and what you are doing in my life right now! I accept Your gift of salvation! I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!”

Now, go and tell someone what you have done!

What Is Christianity?

In its broadest sense, Christianity is a religion based upon the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, who lived in Palestine during the first century. However, if Christianity is lived as merely a set of teachings and rules to be followed, it misses the main points that Jesus taught. First and foremost, Christianity is anchored in love—God's love for us and our response to that love. This page will examine what is Christianity and how it should be lived by those who profess to be its followers.

Why Religion?

Many skeptics think that religion is a waste of time—or worse. I tend to agree. I am a Christian, but I don't consider myself a particularly religious person. Christianity is much more than just religion.

The basis of Christianity

Christianity was derived from Judaism. Under Judaism, the Hebrew Old Testament writings formed the basis of a covenant between God (Yahweh) and the people of Israel. According to the prophecies found in those writings, God was going to send the Messiah (anointed One), who would bless not only the Israelites, but all the peoples of the world. The prophecies set out not only the nature of the Messiah, but pinpointed His place and date of birth, along with dozens of other specific characteristics. Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled these prophecies in exquisite detail. Jesus' purpose was two-fold. First, according to both Old and New Testament writings,Jesus was God, who took on human form to teach us about Himself and His path to salvation (eternal life). Second, Jesus was to provide the ultimate sacrifice (death on a Roman cross) for sins (the bad things we do), so that we could be with Him forever in heaven. To prove that He was God and that the sacrifice was efficacious, Jesus rose from the dead. So, according to Christianity, Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah—the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies and God of all.

Teachings of Jesus

Although Jesus did not teach anything radically different from that of the Old Testament, He simplified the main points so that people could not escape into a pure exercise of religious ceremonies. The Old Testament describes many laws (both moral and ceremonial) that were to be followed by the people of God. With so many laws, people tended to become selective, preferring to follow the easier ceremonial laws over the more difficult moral laws (Matthew 23:23). The religious ruling class was especially susceptible to selective obedience of the law, resulting in moral hypocrisy. Jesus explained that the moral commandments were not to be followed merely to the letter of the law, but also to the intent of the law. So, it was not enough to abstain from adultery, but God required that one not even look on a woman with lust (Matthew 5:27-28). Likewise, it is not enough to abstain from murder, but God requires that nobody hate another without cause, with calling another person "a fool" making one guilty enough to suffer the judgment of Hell (Matthew 5:21-22). So God's laws require not only perfect performance, but also perfect attitude and motive.

Jesus said the entire law of God could be summarized into a mere two commands:

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)

So, the fundamental principle that defines the Christian experience is love—love of God and love of our fellow human beings. So, a person who merely loves his fellow man is only fulfilling half of the law, and is neglecting what Jesus said was the most important part—loving God.

Salvation

Since God's standard for behavior is perfection in thought and deed, we are going to find it very difficult to meet God's standard. However, since God loves us so much, He has provided another means by which we can attain perfection. Jesus, as God, took on the form of a human being and lived on the earth in the first century. Besides teaching, His main purpose was to provide the ultimate sacrifice for sins, by living a completely sinless life, dying on a cross, and rising from the dead. It is through belief in Jesus and His sacrifice for sins that one is declared righteous and free from sin. One who believes in Jesus follows Him, being indwelt by the Holy Spirit, who guides Christians as they become conformed to the image of Christ.

Sanctification

Sanctification is a fancy theological term that describes the process by which a Christian becomes more and more like Jesus. Perfection is not possible in this world, but God wants us to love Him and our fellow human beings more (Matthew 22:37-40). So, a Christian's life is not over once he/she makes a commitment to Jesus. To be a fulfilled Christian, a follower of Jesus is to study the Bible, the source of God's word to His people. In addition, Christians are to attend a fellowship of other believers on a regular basis for instruction, fellowship, worship, and service. God has prepared ahead of time a lifetime of good works that we should do (Ephesians 2:10) which fulfills both great commandments—love of God and love of our fellow human beings.

Conclusion 

Christianity is more than a religion. Christianity is a way of life based upon one's love of God and love of people. Christianity is also a commitment to personal integrity and truth. Unfortunately, these days many Christians tend to be characterized by political activism and rhetoric, rather than doing the works of Jesus. My prayer for you, the reader, is that you become a true disciple of Jesus, with love for one another (John 13:34-35).

நாற்பது நாட்கள் நாடகமாடி

நாற்பது நாள் நடிப்பு தேவனை மகிழ்வூட்டுமா?

கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கை என்பது வேறு பிரிக்கப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கை முறை. உலகத்தில் நாம் இருந்தாலும் உலகத்தானாக   வாழாமல் நமது வித்தியாச வாழ்க்கை முறையால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குச் சான்று பகர்ந்து வாழ வேண்டியது நமது கடமை.

"நீங்கள் இந்த பிரபஞ்சத்துக்கு ஒத்த வேஷம் தரியாமல்..." (ரோமர் - 12:2) என்று வேதம் கூறுகின்றது. ஆனால் கிறிஸ்தவர்களது பல செயல்பாடுகள் பெரும்பாலும் வேடிக்கையானதாக பிற மத சகோதரர்களின் பழக்க வழக்கங்களிலிருந்து காப்பியடிக்கப்பட்ட  செயல்பாடுகளைக் கொண்டதாக இருப்பது வருந்தத்தக்கது.

வேதம் கூறிய மேலான காரியங்களை விட்டுவிட்டு உடலைப் பேணும் அற்பமான செயல்பாடுகளில் ஈடுபட்டு  கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் இன்று லெந்து கால அல்லது தபசு கால கடமையினைச் செய்து முடித்தத் திருப்தி அடைந்து தங்களை ஆசுவாசப்படுத்திக் கொள்கின்றனர்.

வேதத்தில் இப்படி குறிப்பிட்டக்  காலம் என்று ஒரு காலமோ அல்லது அப்படி குறிப்பிட்ட காலத்தில் மட்டும் சில செயல்களை செய்வது நமது ஆன்மீக முன்னேற்றத்துக்கு ஏற்றது என்றோ கூறப்படவில்லை. கிறிஸ்து நம்மை ஒரு சீடத்துவ வாழ்க்கை வாழவே அழைத்துள்ளார். "நீங்கள் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாயிருங்கள்; நான் உங்களில் அன்பாயிருப்பதுபோல நீங்களும் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாயிருங்கள். என்கிற புதிதானாக்  கட்டளையை உங்களுக்கு கொடுக்கிறேன். நீங்கள் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாயிருந்தால் அதனால் நீங்கள் என்னுடையச் சீடர்களென்று எல்லோரும் அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்."  (யோவான் - 13:34)

கிறிஸ்து கூறிய சீடத்துவ வழக்கை பற்றி பலரும் நினைப்பதில்லை . ஆனால் இன்று உலகதோடு ஒத்து வாழ்ந்துகொண்டு உலக மக்கள் செய்யும் அனைத்துச் செயல்களையும் செய்துகொண்டு தபசு காலத்தில் மட்டும் சில பக்தி முயற்சிகளில் ஈடுபட்டு தங்களைத் தாங்களே உத்தம வாழ்க்கை வாழ்பவர்களாக எண்ணி பல கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் நிறைவடைத்து கொள்கின்றனர். 

சரி இந்தச் செயல்பாடுகள் தான் என்ன? இவை வேத அடிப்படையிலானவை தானா? சிந்தித்துப் பார்ப்போம் 

1. கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகளை எண்ணி கண்ணீர்விட்டு அழுவது  / புலம்புவது 

கிறிஸ்து தனது பாடுகளை எண்ணி மக்கள் அழுது புலம்புவதை விரும் பியதில்லை. கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகள் நமக்காக அவர் பட்ட  வேதனைகள் எப்போதும் நமக்குள் இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம் தான். நமக்காக அவர் நொறுக்கப்பட்டார். ஆனால் அதற்காக இந்த நாற்பது நாளும் அழ வேண்டுமென்று அர்த்தமல்ல. கிறிஸ்து விரும்பும் ஒரு வாழ்க்கையை வாழ்வதே - ஒரு சீடத்துவ வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதே அவர் விரும்புவது. கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகளும் மரணமும் தான் நமக்கு மேலான ஒரு வாழ்க்கைக்கு வழி வகுத்தன. அதற்காக அழ வேண்டியதில்லை. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் சிலுவை சுமந்துசெல்லும்  போது அவருக்குப் பின் அழுது கொண்டுவந்தப் பெண்களை பார்த்து ," எருசலேமின் குமாரத்திகளே நீங்கள் எனக்காக அழாமல் உங்களுக்காகவும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்காகவும் அழுங்கள்" (லூக்கா - 23:28) என்றுதானே கூறினார்?

2. உணவு கட்டுப்பாடு எனும் எண்ணத்தில் அசைவ உணவுகளை சாப்பிடாமல் இருப்பது 

இதுவும் பிற மத சகோதர்களை பார்த்து வந்தப்பழக்கம்தான். உண்ணும் உணவு ஒருவரைத் தீட்டுப் படுத்தாது. அசைவ உணவு உண்பதோ காய்கறி உணவுகளை உண்பதோ முக்கியமல்ல. நமது உள்ளமும் வாயிலிருந்து வரும் வார்த்தைகளும் தூய்மையானவையாக, பிறரைக் காய படுத்தாதனவாக இருக்க வேண்டியதே முக்கியம். எனவே தான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக்கு கூறினார், "வாய்க்குள்ளே போகிறது மனுஷனைத் தீட்டுப் படுத்தாது, வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறதே மனுஷனைத் தீட்டுப் படுத்தும்" (மத்தேயு - 15:11)

மேலும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார், "வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறவைகள் இருதயத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு வரும். அவைகளே மனுஷனைத் தீட்டுப் படுத்தும். எப்படியெனில் இருதயத்திலிருந்து பொல்லாத சிந்தனைகளும், கொலை பாதகங்களும், விபச்சாரங்களும், வேசித்தனங்களும், களவுகளும், பொய்ச்சாட்சிகளும், தூஷணங்களும் புறப்பட்டு வரும். இவைகளே மனுஷனைத் தீட்டுப் படுத்தும் ...." (மத்தேயு - 15: 18-20)

அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் அடிகள் இதனைத் தெளிவாக   இப்படிக்  கூறுகிறார், " போஜனமானது நம்மை தேவனுக்கு உகந்தவர்களாக்க மாட்டாது. புசிப்பதனால் நமக்கு ஒரு மேன்மையுமல்ல, புசியாதிருப்பதனால் நமக்கு ஒரு குறையுமல்ல" 1கொரி - 8:8)

 ஆம், பவுல் அடிகள் கூறுவதுபோல, "தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் புசிப்பும் குடிப்புமல்ல, அது நீதியும் சமாதானமும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியினால் வரும் சந்தோஷமுமாயிருக்கிறது" (ரோமர் - 14:17)

அன்பானவர்களே பவுல் அடிகள் கூறும் நீதி, சமாதானம், சந்தோஷம் நமக்கு இருக்கிறதா? அதனை பிறருக்கு நாம் கொடுக்கிறோமா ?

3. திருயாத்திரை என்று ஒரே நாளில் பதினான்கு  கோவில்களை சந்திப்பது

சுற்றுலா போல கோவில்களை சந்திப்பது பலரது வாடிக்கையாக இருக்கிறது.  சந்திக்கும் கோவில்களை பொறுத்து தேவ பெலன் ஒருவருக்கு அதிகம் வந்துவிடுவதில்லை. சுற்றிச் சுற்றி கோவில்களுக்கு அலைவதைவிட ஒரு இடத்திலிருந்து தேவனை வழிபட முடியாதா? பிதாவை எங்கும் தொழுது கொள்ளலாம் என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவே கூறுகின்றார். "நீங்கள் இந்த மலையிலும் எருசலேமிலும் மட்டுமல்ல, எங்கும் பிதாவைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளும் காலம் வருகிறது" (யோவான்  4:21) 

தேவனை உண்மையான ஆத்துமாவோடு அன்போடு தொழுதுகொள்ளவேண்டுமே தவிர அலைந்து திரிந்து தொழுதுகொள்ள வேண்டாம். "தேவன் ஆவியாயிருக்கிறார், அவரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவர்கள் ஆவியோடும் உண்மையோடும் அவரைத் தொழுது கொள்ளவேண்டும்" (யோவான்  4:24) 

மேலும் நமது உடலே தேவன் வாழும் ஆலயமாயிருக்கிறது. நமது உடலை பாவக கறைகள் இல்லாமல் பரிசுத்தமாக வைத்துக் கொள்வதே மெய்யான ஆராதனை

"நீங்கள் உங்கள் சரீரங்களை பரிசுத்தமும் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமான ஜீவ பலியாக ஒப்புக் கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென்று தேவனுடைய இரக்கங்களை முன்னிட்டு உங்களை வேண்டிக் கொள்கிறேன். இதுவே நீங்கள் செய்யத் தக்க புத்தியுள்ள ஆராதனை"  (ரோமர் - 12:1) 

"உங்கள் சரீரமானது நீங்கள் தேவனாலே பெற்றும் உங்களில் தங்கியுமிருக்கிற பரிசுத்த ஆவியினுடைய ஆலயமாயிருக்கிறதென்றும் நீங்கள் உங்களுடையவர்களல்ல என்றும் அறியீர்களா?" (1 கொரி  - 6:19) 


  4. முகச் சவரம் செய்யாமல் இருப்பது, வெள்ளை உடை அணிவது  
     
இவற்றுக்கும் கிறிஸ்தவ அடிப்படிப் போதனைகளுக்கு ஒரு சம்பந்தமும் இல்லை. இவை பிற மத சகோதரர்களை பார்த்து பின்பற்றக் கூடிய செயல்களே. இவற்றால் எந்த ஆன்மீக பயனும் ஏற்படாது 

அன்பானவர்களே  கிறிஸ்துவின் தியாக அன்பை நினைத்து சில நல்லச் செயல்களை செய்வது நல்லதுதான். ஆனால் அது வெறும் நாற்பது நாட்களுக்கல்ல அனுதினமும் செய்யவேண்டும். 

வேதம் கூறும்  செயல்பாடுகள் கிறிஸ்து கூறியதுபோல அனுதினமும் சிலுவை சுமக்கும் அனுபவமாகும். அதைவிட மேற்கூறியவை எளிதாக இருப்பதால் இவற்றை கடைபிடித்து நாம் உத்தம வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதாக எண்ணி ஏமாந்து விடக் கூடாது. வேதம் சொல்லாத விஷயங்களுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கும் நாம் வேதம் கூறும் அறிவுரைகளை பின்பற்ற முயற்சிப்போம். அதுவும் வெறும் நாற்பது நாட்களுக்கல்ல ...நமது ஆயுளுக்கும். 

தேவன் மனிதனல்ல.... அவரை வெறும்   நாற்பது நாட்கள்  நாடகமாடி ஏமாற்றிட முடியாது.

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கும் பரிசுத்தவான்களாகும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கும் நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினாலும் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக ..

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் அன்பானவர்களே, கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் சிலுவையைப் பற்றிய உபதேசம் எப்படி உள்ளது?

"சிலுவையைப் பற்றிய உபதேசம் கெட்டுப் போகிறவர்களுக்குப்  பைத்தியமாயிருக்கிறது , இரட்சிக்கப் படுகிற நமக்கோ அது தேவ பெலனாயிருக்கிறது" (1 கொரி -1:18) என்று வேதம் சொல்கிறது.

தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமானவர்களே, இன்று கிறிஸ்துவின் சிலுவையை - அதாவது அவரது பாடுகளையும், மரணத்தையும், உயிர்தெழுதலையும் குறித்துப் பிரசங்கிக்கையில் அது பலருக்குப் பைத்தியமாகவும் பிதற்றலாகவும் தோன்றுகின்றது. நமது  கர்த்தர் மனிதனாக இருந்து இந்த பூமியில்  தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளை பிரசங்கித்தப் பொழுதும் அங்கே ஒரு பெருங் கூட்டம் அவரைப் பைத்தியக்காரன் என்றுதான் சொன்னது. ஒரு சிறுக கூட்டம் கர்த்தரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டது. "அவர்களில் அனேகர் இவன் பிசாசுப் பிடித்தவன், பைத்தியக்காரன், ஏன் இவனுக்குச் செவி கொடுக்கிறீர்கள் என்றார்கள். வேறு  சிலர் இவைகள் பிசாசு பிடித்தவனுடைய வசனங்களல்லவே, குருடனுடைய கண்களை பிசாசு திறக்கக்கூடுமா/ என்றார்கள்"  (யோவான் -10:20,21) ஆம் .. அங்கே பிரிவினை. அநேகருக்கு கிறிஸ்துவின்  உபதேசம் பைத்தியமாக  இருந்தது. சிலருக்கோ அது தேவ பெலனாக இருந்தது.

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்றும் கிறிஸ்துவின் சிலுவை பற்றிய போதனைகள் பைத்தியமாகவே இருக்கிறது. 1 கொரி 1:23  ன் படி , "நாங்களோ சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட கிறிஸ்துவைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறோம் , அவர் யூதருக்கு இடறலாகவும் கிரேக்கருக்குப் பைத்தியமாகவும் இருக்கிறார்."

இந்த உலகம் இயேசுவையும் அவருடைய பாடுகளையும் பைத்தியமாகவே பார்க்கிறது. அதனால் அந்த மக்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டு தேவ ராஜ்யத்தின் குடிமக்களாக மாறுவதற்கு மிக தூரத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள்.  "ஜென்ம சுபாவமான மனுஷனோ தேவனுடைய ஆவிக்குரியவைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளான்; அவைகள் அவனுக்குப் பைத்தியமாகவேத்   தோன்றும்.  அவைகள் ஆவிக்கேற்றபிரகாரமாய் ஆராய்ந்து நிதானிக்கப் படுகிறவைகளானதால் அவைகளை அறியவுமாட்டான்"  என்று 2 கொரி 2:14 சொல்கிறது .

சிலுவை பற்றிய உபதேசங்கள் கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்குப்  பைத்தியம் .. ஆம் , அவர்கள் பரம வாசஸ்தலத்துக்கு அபாத்திரராகப் போய்விட்டார்கள். தகுதியற்றவர்களானார்கள் . அவர்கள் நித்திய அழிவாகியத் தண்டனைக்குச்  சொந்தக்காரர்கள் ஆகிவிட்டார்கள் , அந்தோ பரிதாபம். 

கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமானவர்களே உலகம்தான் இதற்குச் செவி கொடுக்கவில்லை என்றால், கர்த்தரை அறிந்துள்ளோம்  என்றுக் கூறிக் கொள்ளும் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று தங்களைக்  கூறிக் கொள்பவர்களும் இதை ஏற்றுக் கொள்வதில் பின்தங்கிதான் உள்ளனர்.  ஏனென்றால் ஆசீர்வாத அருளுரைகளையே கேட்டுக் கேட்டுப் பழகிப்போனதால் சிலுவையின் பாடுகளையும்   தன் சிலுவையை (பாடுகளை) சுமந்து கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றி தேவ ராஜ்ஜியம் போக வேண்டும் எனும் இயேசுவின் போதனையும் அவர்களுக்குப் பைத்தியமாகவே தோன்றுகின்றது. கர்த்தர்தான் இப்படி உணர்வில்லாமல் இருக்கும் மக்களை உணர்விக்கவேண்டும்.

மறுபுறம், கிறிஸ்துவைப் பற்றிய உபதேசத்தைச்  சரியாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டவர்களுக்கு அது தேவ பெலனாக இருக்கிறது. அதனால்  மிகத் தைரியமாக, "கிறிஸ்து எனக்கு ஜீவன், சாவு எனக்கு ஆதாயம்"  என்று பிலிப்பியர் 1:21 ன் படி முழங்க முடிகிறது.  அது பெலத்தின்மேல் பெலனடயச் செய்கிறது.

"கிறிஸ்துவின் சுவிசேஷத்தைக் குறித்து  நான் வெட்கப்பட்டேன்; முன்பு யூதரிலும் பின்பு கிரேக்கரிலும் விசுவாசிக்கிறவனெவனோ அவனுக்கு இரட்சிப்பு உண்டாவதற்கு அது தேவ பெலனாயிருக்கிறது" (ரோமர் - 1:16) என்றபடி கிறிஸ்துவின் உபதேசம் பெலப்படுத்துகிறது. அந்த தேவ பெலன்  சிலுவையின் சுவிசேஷத்தைச்  சொல்ல உற்சாகப்படுத்துகிறது. நான் பெற்ற இரட்சிப்பை, அந்த விடுதலையை மற்றவரும் பெற வேண்டும் எனும் ஆர்வத்தை நம்மில் உந்தித் தள்ளுகிறது. நம்மை கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குரியதையே  ன்னதாகி செய்கிறது. "பூமியிலுள்ளவைகளையல்ல மேலானவைகளையே நாடுங்கள்" (கொலோ -3:2) என்று தேவனுக்குரியவைகளையே நாடச் செய்கிறது. கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் எப்போதும் வெற்றி  பெறவும் அவரை அறியும் அறிவில் வளரவும் செய்கிறது.  தேவனுக்கு  கிறிஸ்துவின்    நற்கந்தமாக ஜீவ வாசனை வீசச் செய்கிறது (2 கொரி 2:14-16)

மற்றும் சிலுவையைப் பற்றிய உபதேசம் இரட்சிக்கப் படுகிறவர்களுக்கு தேவ பெலன். ஏனென்றால் கர்த்தரே அவர்களின் பெலனாக இருக்கிறார். ஆகவே இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கும் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கும் கிறிஸ்துவே எல்லாமாக இருக்கிறார். அவர்கள் எரிந்து பிரகாசிக்கிற விளக்காக இருக்கிறார்கள்  ஆகவே எவ்வளவு பெரிய பாடுகள் துன்பங்கள் வந்தாலும் அவற்றைச் சந்தோஷமாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அந்தப் பாதையில்  கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றிச் செல்கிறார்கள்.

இந்தக் கிறிஸ்துவின் உபதேசமாகிய தேவ பெலனைப் பெற்று  நமது பரம வாசஸ்தலத்தை நோக்கி உற்சாகமாகக் கடந்து செல்வோம். ஆமென். தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக. ஆமென்
