 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳

"நாம் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளென்று அழைக்கப்படுவதினாலே பிதாவானவர் நமக்குப் பாராட்டின அன்பு எவ்வளவு பெரிதென்று பாருங்கள்; உலகம் அவரை அறியாதபடியினாலே நம்மையும் அறியவில்லை." (1 யோவான்  3 : 1)

ஒரு நாட்டின் இராஜாவின் மகன் ஒருமுறை கடல் பயணத்தின்போது ஏற்பட்ட விபத்தில் சிக்கி கடலின் நடுவேயிருந்த தீவு ஒன்றில் கரை ஒதுங்கினான். அங்கிருந்த மக்களுக்கு அவன் ஒரு இராஜகுமாரன் என்பது தெரியாது. வழிதப்பி வந்துள்ள சாதாரண கப்பல் பயணி என அவனை அவர்கள் எண்ணிக்கொண்டனர். அவனது பசியாற அவர்கள் தாங்கள் உண்ணும் அற்பமான உணவையும், தாங்கள் தங்கியிருக்கும் கூரை வீட்டினுள்ளும் அவனைத் தங்கவைத்தனர். 

அந்த மக்கள் நடுவே அவன் சில நாட்கள் இருந்தான். பிற்பாடு அவர்கள் அவனைத் தங்களில் ஒருவனாக அற்பமாக நடத்தத் துவங்கி அவனைத் தங்களுக்காக வேலைசெய்யவைத்தனர். அப்போது அவன் தனது பழைய ராஜகுமார வாழ்க்கையினை எண்ணிப்பார்த்தான். இளவரசனாக எவ்வளவு மதிப்புடன் வாழ்ந்தோம், இப்போது இந்த அறிவில்லாத மக்கள் கூட்டத்தில் வந்து சிக்கிக்கொண்டோமே என்று மனம் கலங்கினான். தனது முன் நிலையினை அவன் அவர்களுக்கு எடுத்துச் சொன்னாலும் அவர்கள் அதனை நம்பவில்லை.

காரணம்,  அந்த மக்கள் அந்த இராஜாவை அறியவில்லை; எனவே இராஜாவின் மகனையும் அறியவில்லை.  இதுபோலவே ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உலகத்தில் வாழ்ந்தபோது இருந்தார். தேவனை அறியாத மக்கள் மத்தியில் தேவனை அறிந்த மனிதனும்  இன்று இப்படியே இருக்கின்றான். கிறிஸ்துவையே அறியாத உலகம் நம்மை அறியாமல் இருப்பதில் ஆச்சரியமில்லை. இதனையே, "உலகம் அவரை அறியாதபடியினாலே நம்மையும் அறியவில்லை." என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

கிறிஸ்துவால் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்ட நாம் தேவன் நம்மோடு பேசுவதையும், அவர் நம்மோடுகூட உடன்வருவதையும் உணருகின்றோம். இதுதான் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளென்று அழைக்கப்படுவதினாலே பிதாவானவர் நமக்குப் பாராட்டின அன்பு. அதாவது நாம் இந்த சர்வலோகத்தையும் படைத்த தேவனுடைய சொந்த பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்கின்றோம். அவர் நம்மை அன்பு செய்வதால் நம்மோடு உறவாடுகின்றார். ஆனால் தேவனை வாழ்வில் அறியாதவர்கள் இதனை அறிவதில்லை; நம்மையும் அறிவதில்லை. நாம் கூறினாலும் இவற்றை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை.

எனவே, நாம் மேலே பார்த்த இராஜகுமாரனைப்போல இந்த உலகத்தில் இருக்கின்றோம். நமக்கு ஒரு பரம தகப்பன் உண்டு என்பதை நாம் உணர்ந்திருக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் நமது அற்பமான நிலையினைக்கண்டு உலகம் நம்மை அற்பமாக எண்ணுகின்றது. அல்லது அவர்களில் ஒருவராக எண்ணுகின்றது. இதனை நாம் அவர்களுக்குப் புரியவைக்க முடியாது. காரணம், அவர்கள் இன்னும் தேவனையே அறியவில்லை. 

ஆனால் தேவன் நமக்கு உலக மக்களைக்குறித்தும், உலக நடவடிக்கைகளைக்குறித்தும் வெளிப்பாடுகளைத் தருகின்றார். மட்டுமல்ல, நம்மை ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு, பிதா அவருக்குத் தந்தவர்கள் என்கின்றார். எனவே, நமக்காக அவர் ஏற்கெனவே ஜெபித்துள்ளார். "பிதாவே, உலகத்தோற்றத்துக்கு முன் நீர் என்னில் அன்பாயிருந்தபடியினால், நீர் எனக்குத் தந்த என்னுடைய மகிமையை நீர் எனக்குத் தந்தவர்கள் காணும்படியாக, நான் எங்கே இருக்கிறேனோ அங்கே அவர்களும் என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கவிரும்புகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 17: 24) என்று நமக்காக வேண்டுகின்றார்.

உலகம் அவரை அறியாதபடியினாலே நம்மையும் அறியவில்லை. ஆனால் கிறிஸ்து நம்மை அறிந்துள்ளார் என்பதே மேன்மை. ஆம், இதுவே நமது மேன்மை. மட்டுமல்ல, "நான் எங்கே இருக்கிறேனோ அங்கே அவர்களும் என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கவிரும்புகிறேன்." என்று நமது எதிர்காலத்துக்காக பிதாவிடம் ஜெபித்துள்ளார். எனவே, உலக மக்களின் புறக்கணிப்பு, உலகத்திலுள்ள மற்றவர்களைவிட நமக்கு இருக்கும் குறைவுகள் இவற்றைக்குறித்துக் கவலைப்படாமல் தேவனது அன்பில் தொடர்ந்து நிலைத்து வாழ்வோம். உலகம் அவரை அறியாதபடியினாலே நம்மையும் அறியாமலிருப்பது ஆச்சரியமல்ல.

🔆 AATHAVAN – Saturday, 31.01.2026

“See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” (1 John 3:1)

Once, the son of a king met with an accident during a sea voyage and was washed ashore on an island in the middle of the ocean. The people living there did not know that he was a prince. They assumed he was merely an ordinary sailor who had lost his way. Out of compassion, they shared with him the little food they themselves ate and allowed him to stay in their humble thatched houses.

He lived among them for several days. Gradually, they began to treat him as one of their own, even making him work for them. At that point, he reflected on his former life as a prince. He was deeply troubled, thinking, “How honorably I lived as a royal prince, and now I am trapped among these ignorant people.” Though he tried to explain his true identity to them, they refused to believe him.

The reason was simple: those people did not know the king, and therefore they could not recognize the king’s son.

In the same way, our Lord Jesus Christ lived in this world. Even today, a person who knows God lives among people who do not know Him. It is no surprise that a world which does not know Christ also does not recognize us. This is exactly what today’s meditation verse declares:

“The world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”

Those of us who have been saved by Christ experience God speaking with us and walking with us. This is the great love the Father has bestowed upon us by calling us His children. In other words, we are the own children of the God who created the entire universe. Because He loves us, He relates to us personally. But those who do not know God in their daily lives neither understand this nor recognize us, even when we speak about it.

Therefore, we are like that prince living in this world. We are aware that we have a heavenly Father, but seeing our humble earthly condition, the world looks down on us or considers us as just one among them. We cannot make them understand who we truly are, because they still do not know God.

Yet, God grants us revelation about the people of the world and its ways. Not only that, the Lord Jesus says that we are those whom the Father has given to Him. Therefore, He has already prayed for us:

“Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24)

The world does not know us because it did not know Him. But the excellence and glory of our lives lie in this truth: Christ knows us. Yes, this is our true honour. Moreover, He has prayed to the Father concerning our future, saying, “that they also may be with Me where I am.”

Therefore, let us not be troubled by the rejection of the world or by the lack and limitations we experience compared to others. Instead, let us continue to abide in the love of God. It is no wonder that the world does not recognize us, because it did not recognize Him.

🦋 Meditation verse - 2 தீமோத்தேயு 4: 3, 4 / 2 Timothy 4:3-4

"ஏனென்றால், அவர்கள் ஆரோக்கியமான உபதேசத்தைப் பொறுக்க மனதில்லாமல், செவித்தினவுள்ளவர்களாகி, தங்கள் சுய இச்சைகளுக்கேற்ற போதகர்களைத் தங்களுக்குத் திரளாகச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, சத்தியத்துக்குச் செவியை விலக்கி, கட்டுக்கதைகளுக்குச் சாய்ந்துபோகுங்காலம் வரும்." (2 தீமோத்தேயு 4: 3, 4)

அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் தனது சீடனான தீமோத்தேவுக்குக் கூறிய இன்றைய இந்தத்  தியான வார்த்தைகளின்படி இன்று பரவலாக கிறிஸ்தவ மார்க்கத்தில் நடைபெற்றுக்கொண்டிருப்பதை நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். இன்று நடப்பதை தீர்க்கத்தரிசனமாக பவுல் அன்றே கூறிவிட்டார் என்றுதான் நாம் இதைக் கருதமுடிகின்றது.  

இன்று ஆரோக்கியமான; மெய்யான  கிறிஸ்தவ உபதேசங்களை அதிகமாக மக்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை. காரணம், பலரும் குறுக்கு வழியில் தேவ ஆசீர்வாதத்தினைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள ஓடுகின்றனர். பல போதகர்களும் வேதம் கூறும் மெய்யான ஆசீர்வாதத்தினை மக்களுக்குப் போதிக்காமல் எப்படி உலக ஆசீர்வாதத்தினைப் பெறுவது என்றுதான் போதிக்கின்றனர். அதற்காகச்  சிறப்பு ஜெபக்கூட்டங்களும், ஆசீர்வாதக் கூட்டங்களும் நடத்திக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். காணிக்கைக் கொடுத்தால் ஆசீர்வாதம் எனும் மிகக் குறுக்குவழியை மக்கள்முன் வைத்துள்ளனர்.

இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கைக்குப்பின் நித்தியமான மறுவுலக வாழ்வு ஒன்று உண்டு. அதனை நாம் எப்படிப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வது என்பதனை நமக்குக் காண்பிக்கவும், அந்த உண்மையினை எடுத்துக்கூறவும், அதற்கு நம்மைத் தகுதிப்படுத்தவுமே கிறிஸ்து இயேசு உலகினில் வந்தார். ஆனால் இன்றைய பெரும்பாலான ஊழியர்கள் இதனைப் போதிக்காமல் கிறிஸ்துவை மாயாஜாலம் செய்யும்  மந்திரவாதியாக மட்டுமே உலகுக்கு எடுத்துக்காட்டிப் போதிக்கின்றனர். மக்களும் ஆரோக்கியமான உபதேசத்தைப் பொறுக்க மனதில்லாமல், செவித்தினவுள்ளவர்களாகி, தங்கள் சுய இச்சைகளுக்கேற்ற இப்படிபட்டப் போதனைகளை போதிக்கும் போதகர்களைச் சார்ந்துகொண்டு, சத்தியத்துக்குச் செவியை விலக்கி, அவர்கள் கூறும் கட்டுக்கதை உபதேசங்களுக்குச் சாய்ந்து போய்க்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

"வேதவாக்கியங்களெல்லாம் தேவ ஆவியினால் அருளப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன; தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் தேறினவனாகவும், எந்த நற்கிரியையுஞ்செய்யத் தகுதியுள்ளவனாகவும் இருக்கும்படியாக, அவைகள் உபதேசத்துக்கும், கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலுக்கும், சீர்திருத்தலுக்கும், நீதியைப் படிப்பிக்குதலுக்கும் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளவைகளாயிருக்கின்றன." (2 தீமோத்தேயு 3: 16, 17) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

தேவ ஆவியினால் அருளப்பட்டுள்ள தேவ வார்த்தைகள் அனைத்தும் மனிதர்களை கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் தேறினவர்களாகவும்,  நற்செயல்கள் செய்யத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாக்கவும் மாற்றிட  எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.  மேலும் அவைகள் மனிதர்களுக்கு உபதேசத்தையும் அவர்கள் தவறும்போது கண்டிக்கவும், மனிதர்கள் தங்களது வழியினைச் சீர்படுத்தவும், நீதியான வாழ்க்கை வாழ வழிகாட்டவும்  எழுதப்பட்டவை. ஆனால், இதனை மறுதலித்து வேதத்திலுள்ள ஆசீர்வாத பகுதிகளை மட்டுமே பொறுக்கியெடுத்து போதிக்கும் போதகர்கள்தான்  மக்களது சுய இச்சைகளுக்கேற்ற போதகர்கள். பெரும்பாலான மக்கள் அவர்களைச் சார்ந்துகொள்கின்றனர். 

இத்தகையவர்களைக்குறித்து அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "ஏனெனில், அநேகர் வேறுவிதமாய் நடக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் கிறிஸ்துவின் சிலுவைக்குப் பகைஞரென்று உங்களுக்கு அநேகந்தரம் சொன்னேன், இப்பொழுது கண்ணீரோடும் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( பிலிப்பியர் 3: 18) என்கின்றார். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, உண்மையான சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்பு செய்பவர்கள் இன்று பெரும்பாலான மக்களால் பகைஞர்களாகவே பார்க்கப்படுகின்றனர். அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலையும் சிலர் அப்படிதான் பார்த்தனர். எனவேதான் அவர், "நான் உங்களுக்குச் சத்தியத்தைச் சொன்னதினாலே உங்களுக்குச் சத்துருவானேனோ?" ( கலாத்தியர் 4: 16) என்கின்றார். 

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, நமது சுய இச்சைகளுக்கேற்ற போதகர்களைத் தேடாமல் சத்தியத்தைப் போதிக்கும் போதகர்களைச் சார்ந்துகொள்வோம். கட்டுக்கதைகள் நம்மை இரட்சிக்காது; கிறிஸ்துவின் மெய்யான சுவிசேஷம் மட்டுமே நம்மை நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கு நேராகக் கொண்டுசெல்லும்.  எச்சரிக்கையுடன் இருந்து விலையேறப்பெற்ற நமது ஆத்துமாவைப்  பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

"Within the Seeds" 🌳

Bible Meditation No: 1819                                                                                                               AATHAVAN – Friday, January 30, 2026

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths." (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

According to these words of meditation spoken by the Apostle Paul to his disciple Timothy, we see exactly what is widely happening within Christianity today. We can consider that Paul spoke of these current events long ago through prophecy.

Today, many people do not accept sound and true Christian doctrine. The reason is that many are running to obtain God's blessings through "shortcuts." Many preachers, instead of teaching the true blessings mentioned in the Bible, teach people only how to obtain worldly prosperity. For this purpose, they conduct special prayer meetings and "blessing festivals." They place a very narrow shortcut before the people: the idea that "if you give an offering, you will be blessed."

There is an eternal life in the world to come after this earthly life. Christ Jesus came into the world to show us how to obtain that life, to speak of that truth, and to make us worthy of it. However, most ministers today do not teach this; instead, they present Christ to the world only as a miracle-working magician. People, too, unwilling to endure sound doctrine and seeking to have their "ears tickled," depend on such teachers who cater to their own desires. They turn their ears away from the truth and lean toward the teachings of myths.

We read in Scripture:

"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

All the words of God, given by the Spirit of God, were written to transform people into being "perfected" in Christ and equipped for good works. Furthermore, they were written to provide doctrine, to rebuke when people err, to correct their ways, and to guide them in living a righteous life. However, the teachers who reject this and selectively pick only the "blessing portions" of the Bible are the ones who cater to people's selfish desires. Most people choose to rely on them.

Regarding such individuals, the Apostle Paul says:

"For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ." (Philippians 3:18)

Concerning such people, the apostle Paul says, “For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ.” (Philippians 3:18).

Yes, dear ones, those who proclaim the true Gospel are viewed as enemies by most people today. Some viewed the Apostle Paul in the same way. That is why he asks:

"So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?" (Galatians 4:16)

Therefore, beloved, let us not seek out teachers who cater to our own desires, but rather depend on those who teach the truth. Myths cannot save us; only the true Gospel of Christ will lead us toward eternal life. Let us remain vigilant and protect our precious souls.

🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 34: 7 / Psalm 34:7

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳  

📖  வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1818                                

🔆 ஆதவன் 29.01.2026 வியாழன்        

"கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களைச் சூழப் பாளயமிறங்கி அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்." ( சங்கீதம் 34: 7)

தேவனுக்குப் பயந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது நமக்குக் கிடைக்கும் தேவ பாதுகாப்பைக்குறித்து இன்றைய தியான வசனம் விளக்குகின்றது. 

தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படுதல் என்பது ஒரு தலைமை ஆசிரியருக்குப் பயப்படும் மாணவனைப்போலவோ,  உயர் அதிகாரிக்குப் பயப்படும் அலுவலர்களைப் போலவோ பயப்படுவதைக் குறிக்கவில்லை. மாறாக,   நமது அனைத்துச் செயல்களையும் கண்காணித்து நமது செயல்பாடுகளுக்கு ஏற்ற தீர்ப்பு வழங்கும் நீதியுள்ள தேவன் ஒருவர் இருக்கின்றார் எனும் எண்ணத்துடன் தேவனது கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடித்து வாழ்வதைத்தான்  குறிக்கின்றது. அப்படி நாம்  வாழும்போது தேவன் தனது தூதர்களை அனுப்பி நம்மைப் பாதுகாப்பார் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

எலிசா தீர்க்கத்தரிசியின் வாழ்வில் நடந்த சம்பவம் இதனை நமக்கு உறுதிப்படுத்துகின்றது. சீரியாவின் இராஜா இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு எதிராக யுத்தம் செய்ய வரும்போதெல்லாம் தீர்க்கத்தரிசியாகிய எலிசா அதனை முன்னமேயே தீர்க்கத்தரிசனமாக இஸ்ரவேலின் இராஜாவுக்கு அறிவித்து விடுவார். அதனால் இஸ்ரவேலின் இராஜா தகுந்த ஆயத்தமாய் இருந்து சீரியாவின் இராஜாவின் கைகளுக்குத் தன்னைக் காத்துக்கொண்டான். எலிசா தீர்க்கத்தரிசிதான் இப்படி இஸ்ரவேலின் இராஜாவுக்கு உதவுகின்றார் என்பதை அறிந்த சீரியாவின் இராஜா எலிசாவைப் பிடிக்க படைவீரர்களை அனுப்பினான்.  எலிசா மலையின்மேல் குகையில் தங்கியிருந்தார். 

ஒருநாள் "தேவனுடைய மனுஷனின் வேலைக்காரன் அதிகாலமே எழுந்து வெளியே புறப்படுகையில், இதோ, இராணுவமும் குதிரைகளும் இரதங்களும் பட்டணத்தைச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்கக் கண்டான்; அப்பொழுது வேலைக்காரன் அவனை நோக்கி: ஐயோ, என் ஆண்டவனே, என்னசெய்வோம் என்றான்." (2 இராஜாக்கள் 6: 15)

ஆனால், சீரியரின் ராணுவத்திடமிருந்து தன்னைப் பாதுகாக்கத் தேவன் தனது தூதர்களை முன்கூட்டியே அனுப்பியிருந்ததை எலிசா கண்டுகொண்டார். எனவே அவர் தனது வேலைக்காரனைப் பார்த்து,  "பயப்படாதே; அவர்களோடு இருக்கிறவர்களைப் பார்க்கிலும் நம்மோடிருக்கிறவர்கள் அதிகம் என்றான்." (2 இராஜாக்கள் 6: 16)

"அப்பொழுது எலிசா விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி: கர்த்தாவே, இவன் பார்க்கும்படி இவன் கண்களைத் திறந்தருளும் என்றான்; உடனே கர்த்தர் அந்த வேலைக்காரன் கண்களைத் திறந்தார்; இதோ, எலிசாவைச்சுற்றிலும் அக்கினிமயமான குதிரைகளாலும் இரதங்களாலும் அந்த மலை நிறைந்திருக்கிறதை அவன் கண்டான்." (2 இராஜாக்கள் 6: 17) அதனால் சீரிய இராணுவத்தால் எலிசாவைப் பிடிக்கமுடியவில்லை.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனுக்குப் பயந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது இதுபோல தேவன் தனது பிள்ளைகளைப் பாதுகாக்கின்றார். விசுவாச பிள்ளைகள் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் இத்தகைய தேவதூதர்களது பாதுகாப்பைத்  தேவன் அளிக்கின்றார். "இந்தச் சிறியரில் ஒருவனையும் அற்பமாய் எண்ணாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்; அவர்களுக்குரிய தேவதூதர்கள் ப9ரலோகத்திலே என் பரமபிதாவின் சமுகத்தை எப்போதும் தரிசிக்கிறார்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( மத்தேயு 18: 10) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறவில்லையா?

நாம் தேவனுக்கு இராஜாக்களும் ஆசாரியர்களுமாய் இருக்கின்றோம். இந்த உலகத்தில் அதிகாரத்தில் இருக்கும் தலைவர்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பை உலக அரசாங்கங்கள் கொடுப்பதுபோல் தேவன் தனது பிள்ளைகளுப் பாதுகாப்பளிக்கின்றார்.  எனவே, உலக மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாமல் தேவனுக்கு மட்டும் பயந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வோம். கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களைச் சூழப் பாளயமிறங்கி அவர்களைப் பாதுகாக்கின்றார்;  விடுவிக்கிறார்.

🔆 AATHAVAN – Thursday, 29.01.2026

“The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him And rescues them.” (Psalm 34:7)

Today’s meditation verse beautifully explains the divine protection that is assured to those who live a life that fears God.

Fearing God does not mean being afraid of Him like a student fears a strict headmaster or an employee fears a superior officer. Rather, it means living with the awareness that there is a righteous God who watches all our actions and judges them justly, and therefore choosing to live in obedience to His commandments. When we live such a life, today’s meditation reminds us that God sends His angels to protect us.

An incident from the life of the prophet Elisha strongly confirms this truth. Whenever the king of Syria planned to wage war against Israel, the prophet Elisha would foretell it and inform the king of Israel in advance. As a result, the king of Israel stayed alert and escaped the hands of the Syrian king.

When the king of Syria realized that it was Elisha who was helping the king of Israel in this manner, he sent an army to capture Elisha. At that time, Elisha was staying in a cave on a mountain.

“Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, ‘Oh no, my master! What shall we do?’”
(2 Kings 6:15)

However, Elisha perceived that God had already sent His angels in advance to protect him from the army of Syria. Therefore, he said to his servant, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6:16)

“Then Elisha prayed and said, ‘O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:17)

Because of this divine protection, the Syrian army was unable to capture Elisha.

Yes, beloved ones, when we live a God-fearing life, God protects His children in the same way. The Lord appoints angelic protection over each of His faithful children.

Did not Jesus Himself say,

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:10)

We are made kings and priests unto God. Just as earthly governments provide security to leaders who hold authority in this world, God Himself provides protection to His children. Therefore, let us not fear people of this world, but live a life that fears God alone.

For truly, the angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, protects them, and delivers them.

🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 3: 5 / Psalm 3:5

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳  

📖  வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1817                                 

🔆 ஆதவன் 28.01.2026 புதன்         

 

"நான் படுத்து நித்திரை செய்தேன்; விழித்துக்கொண்டேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறார்." ( சங்கீதம் 3: 5)

நாம் இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழும் ஒவ்வொருநாளும் தேவன் கிருபையாய் நமக்குத் தருவதாகும். இரவு உறங்கச்செல்லும் நாம் மறுநாள் கண்விழிப்போம் என்பதே நிச்சயமில்லாத ஒன்றாகும். ஆம், பலர் இரவு உறக்கத்திலேயே இறந்துபோகின்றனர். 

மட்டுமல்ல, இரவு பல்வேறு பயங்கரங்களுக்கு உதவிபுரிகின்றது. திருடர்கள் இரவுவேளைகளில் கொள்ளையிட வந்து வீட்டிலுள்ள மக்களை கொல்வதும் உண்டு. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் படுத்து உறங்குவதும் காலையில் விழித்துக்கொள்வதும் தேவனது கிருபையினால்தான். 

தாவீது ராஜாவுக்கு அவரது சொந்த மகன் அப்சலோமே எதிரியாகமாறி அவரது உயிரைப்பறிக்க முயன்றான். மகனுக்குப் பயந்து ஓடி மலைகளின் குகைகளில் பதுங்கி வாழவேண்டிய சூழ்நிலை தாவீதுக்கு ஏற்பட்டது. ஆனாலும் தேவன் தாவீதைப் பாதுகாத்தார். இக்கட்டான வேளையிலும் தாவீது தேவனை நம்பி நிம்மதியாக உறங்கினார். எனவேதான் மகிழ்ச்சியோடு "நான் படுத்து நித்திரை செய்தேன்; விழித்துக்கொண்டேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறார்" எனப் பாடுகின்றார். அவர் கூறுவதுபோல கர்த்தரே அவரைத் தாங்கினார். 

இந்த தேவ பாதுகாப்புத் தனக்குத் தொடர்ந்து உண்டு என்று தாவீது உறுதியாக நம்பினார். எனவேதான் அடுத்த சங்கீதத்தில் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "சமாதானத்தோடே படுத்துக்கொண்டு நித்திரைசெய்வேன்; கர்த்தாவே, நீர் ஒருவரே என்னைச் சுகமாய்த் தங்கப்பண்ணுகிறீர்." ( சங்கீதம் 4: 8) சமாதானமான உறக்கம் ஒரு வரம் என்பார்கள். தாவீது அதனை அனுபவித்தார். 

இன்று பலரது வாழ்வில் உறக்கமில்லாமையே பெரிய நோயாக இருப்பதை நாம் பார்க்கலாம். இரவு தூக்கமில்லாததால் தூக்கமாத்திரைகளை உட்கொண்டு பலர் தூங்குகின்றார்கள். இதற்குப் பல்வேறு காரணங்கள் இருக்கலாம். வாழ்வின் பிரச்சனைகளை நினைத்துப் பயம். நாளைய தினத்தை எப்படிச் சாமளிக்கப்போகின்றோம் எனும் எண்ணம், தீராத நோய்கள், பிள்ளைகளால் ஏற்படும் பிரச்சனைகள், கடன்பாரங்கள் என்று இந்தப் பட்டியல் நீண்டுகொண்டே போகின்றது. தாவீதுக்கு அப்சலோம் பயமுறுத்தலாய் இருந்ததுபோல பலரை இவைபோன்ற காரணங்கள் பயமுறுத்தி தூக்கத்தைக் கெடுக்கின்றன. 

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, தாவீது கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்துகொண்டதுபோல நாமும் கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. சமாதான காரணரான அவரே நமக்குச் சமாதானத்தைத் தரமுடியும்.  எந்தப் பிரச்சனையாக இருந்தாலும்  பிரச்சனையை அவரிடம் விட்டுவிடுவோம். "வருத்தப்பட்டுப் பாரஞ்சுமக்கிறவர்களே! நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் என்னிடத்தில் வாருங்கள்; நான் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் தருவேன்." ( மத்தேயு 11: 28) என்று நமது அன்பு ஆண்டவர்  கூறவில்லையா? அவரிடம் பிரச்சனைகளை விட்டுவிட்டு  சமாதானத்தோடே படுத்துக்கொண்டு நித்திரைசெய்வோம்; அவரே நம்மை சுகமாய்த் தாங்குவார்.

🔆 AATHAVAN – Wednesday, 28.01.2026

“I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.” (Psalm 3:5)

Every single day that we live in this world is graciously given to us by God. When we go to sleep at night, there is no certainty that we will awaken the next morning. Yes, many people pass away even in their sleep.

Not only that, the night often becomes a time that enables many dangers. Thieves come during the night to rob, and at times even kill those in the house. Yes, beloved, both our lying down to sleep and our waking up in the morning happen only by the grace of God.

King David faced a grave situation where his own son Absalom turned against him and sought to take his life. Fearing his son, David was forced to flee and hide in caves in the mountains. Yet God protected David. Even in such distressing circumstances, David trusted God and slept peacefully. That is why he joyfully sang, “I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.” Just as he declared, the Lord truly sustained him.

David firmly believed that this divine protection would continue in his life. Therefore, in the very next psalm he says:

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8)

Peaceful sleep is a gift—and David experienced that gift.

Today, we see that sleeplessness has become a major affliction in many lives. Because of the lack of sleep at night, many people resort to sleeping pills. There may be various reasons for this: fear caused by life’s problems, anxiety about how tomorrow will be managed, incurable illnesses, troubles caused by children, burdens of debt—the list goes on and on. Just as Absalom was a terror to David, similar fears disturb many people today and rob them of sleep.

Therefore, beloved, just as David depended on the Lord, it is essential that we too depend on the Lord. He alone, the Prince of Peace, can give us true peace. Whatever the problem may be, let us place it in His hands. Did not our loving Lord say:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Let us leave our burdens with Him and lie down to sleep in peace; He Himself will sustain us in safety.

🦋 Meditation verse - கொலோசெயர் 2: 6, 7 / Colossians 2:6–7

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳  

📖  வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1816                                

🔆 ஆதவன் 27.01.2026 செவ்வாய்        

"ஆகையால், நீங்கள் கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டபடியே, அவருக்குள் வேர்கொண்டவர்களாகவும், அவர்மேல் கட்டப்பட்டவர்களாகவும், அவருக்குள் நடந்துகொண்டு, நீங்கள் போதிக்கப்பட்டபடியே, விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதிப்பட்டு, ஸ்தோத்திரத்தோடே அதிலே பெருகுவீர்களாக." ( கொலோசெயர் 2: 6, 7)

சிலவேளைகளில் நாம் அதிக விலைகொடுத்து உயர் ரக பழ மரங்களை வீடுகளில் நட்டு வளர்ப்போம். ஆனால், எவ்வளவு உரம் இட்டுத் தண்ணீர் பாய்ச்சினாலும் சிலவேளைகளில் அவை வேர்பற்றி வளர்வதில்லை. நாம் நட்டப்படியே வளர்ச்சியின்றி இருக்கும். இதுபோல, சில குழந்தைகளும்  இருப்பதுண்டு.  எவ்வளவு சத்தான உணவுகளைக் கொடுத்தாலும் அக்குழந்தைகளுக்கு வயதுக்கேற்ற வளர்ச்சி இருக்காது. இத்தகைய குழந்தைகளைச் "சவலைக்குழந்தைகள்" என்பார்கள். 

இதுபோல கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் விசுவாசிகளாக வாழும் நாமும் அவரை அறிந்துகொண்ட அறிவோடு நின்றுவிடக்கூடாது.  அப்படி இருப்போமானால் நாமும் சவலைக்குழந்தைகள் போன்றவர்கள்தான். எனவே, ஆவிக்குரிய வளர்ச்சி நமக்கு அவசியம். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர், கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்தபின்னர் நாம் அந்த அறிவில் வளர்ந்தவர்களாக மாறவேண்டும்; ஆவிக்குரிய நமது வளர்ச்சி சிறப்பானதாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம்; நாம்  அவருக்குள் வேர்கொண்டவர்களாகவும், அவர்மேல் கட்டப்பட்டவர்களாகவும், மாறவேண்டும் என்கின்றார். மேலும், அப்படி நாம் வாழ்கின்றோம் என்பது நமது விசுவாச வாழ்க்கையின் மூலம்தான் வெளிப்படும் என்று கூறுகின்றார்.

நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் வளர்ச்சியடைய  என்னசெய்யவேண்டும் என்பதனை இன்றைய தியான வசனம், "அவருக்குள் நடந்துகொண்டு, நீங்கள் போதிக்கப்பட்டபடியே, விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதிப்பட்டு, ஸ்தோத்திரத்தோடே அதிலே பெருகுவீர்களாக." என்று ஆலோசனை கூறுகின்றது.  அதாவது, முதலில் நமக்கு தேவனுக்கேற்றபடி வாழவேண்டும் எனும் ஆர்வம் இருக்கவேண்டும். பின்னர் தொடர்ந்து ஜெபத்திலும் ஸ்தோத்திரத்திலும் நிலைநிற்கவேண்டும். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "இடைவிடாமல் ஜெபம்பண்ணுங்கள், ஸ்தோத்திரத்துடன் ஜெபத்தில் விழித்திருங்கள்" (கொலோசெயர் 4:2) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

இப்படி நாம் வாழும்போது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் நாம் வேர்கொண்டவர்களாக மாறமுடியும். இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மேலும்,  "அவர்மேல் கட்டப்பட்டவர்களாகவும்" என்று கூறுகின்றது. ஒவ்வொரு கட்டிடத்துக்கும்  அடித்தளமான கல் ஒன்று இருக்கும். அதுவே மூலைக்கல். கட்டடம் கட்டும்போது அதன்மேல் ஒவ்வொரு செங்கல்லாக அடுக்கிக்  கட்டுவார்கள்.  அதுபோல நாமும் கிறிஸ்து எனும் மூலைக்கல்மேல் நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வை ஒவ்வொரு நற்செயல்களால்  கட்டவேண்டும்.   

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வேர்பற்றியதாக இருக்கின்றதா? மூலைக்கல்லான அவர்மேல் நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வைக் காட்டுகின்றோமா? என்பதே நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வளர்ச்சியின் அளவுகோல். பெரிய மரங்கள் புயற்காற்றையும் வெள்ளத்தையும் தங்கி நிற்கக் காரணம் அவைகளின் ஆழமான வேர்தான். அதுபோல கட்டிடங்களின் பலம் அவற்றின் அடித்தளம்தான். கிறிஸ்துவே வேர்; அவரே நமது விசுவாச வாழ்வின் அடித்தளம்.

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வை ஆராய்ந்து பார்ப்போம். கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் உள்ள நமது விசுவாசம் வளர்ச்சி குன்றியதாக அல்ல, அது அனுதினமும் வளர்ச்சியடையவேண்டும். நாம் அவருக்குள் நடந்துகொண்டு, போதிக்கப்பட்டபடியே, விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதிப்பட்டு, ஸ்தோத்திரத்தோடே அதிலே பெருகவேண்டும். இதுவே ஆவிக்குரிய வளர்ச்சி.  இந்த வளர்ச்சி இருந்தால் மட்டுமே நம்மால் கனிகொடுக்கும் வாழ்க்கை வாழமுடியும்.

“Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.” (Colossians 2:6–7)

At times, we plant expensive, high-quality fruit saplings in our homes, hoping they will grow well. Yet, despite applying fertilizer and watering them regularly, some plants fail to take root and show no growth. They remain exactly as they were planted. In a similar way, there are children who, even when given nutritious food, do not grow according to their age. Such children are commonly referred to as malnourished or stunted.

Likewise, as believers living in Christ, we must not remain stagnant with merely the knowledge of having known Him. If we do, we too become like spiritually stunted children. Therefore, spiritual growth is essential for us.

In today’s meditation verse, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that after coming to know Christ, we must grow in that knowledge. Our spiritual growth must be healthy and flourishing. He exhorts us to become rooted in Him, built up in Him, and to live our lives in Him. He further explains that such a life will be revealed through the way we live out our faith.

The meditation verse also guides us on how to grow spiritually:
“…walk in Him… be established in your faith… and overflowing with gratitude.” This means that first, there must be a genuine desire within us to live a life that pleases God. Then, we must continue steadfastly in prayer and thanksgiving. That is why the Apostle Paul says,

“Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.” (Colossians 4:2)

When we live in this manner, we can become firmly rooted in our spiritual life. The verse further says, “being built up in Him.” Every building has a foundation stone—the cornerstone. During construction, each brick is laid upon that foundation. In the same way, Christ is the cornerstone, and we must build our spiritual lives upon Him through righteous deeds and godly living.

Whether our spiritual life in Christ is truly rooted, and whether it is built upon Him who is the cornerstone—this is the true measure of our spiritual growth. Large trees withstand storms and floods because of their deep roots. Likewise, the strength of a building lies in its foundation. Christ is the root; He is the foundation of our faith.

Therefore, beloved, let us examine our spiritual lives. Our faith in Christ must not be stunted or weakened; it must grow day by day. As we walk in Him, remain established in the faith we were taught, and abound with thanksgiving, we will experience true spiritual growth. Only such growth enables us to live a fruitful life.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 10: 1, 2 / John 10:1–2

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳  

📖  வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1815                                 

🔆 ஆதவன் 26.01.2026 திங்கள்        

"மெய்யாகவே, மெய்யாகவே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; ஆட்டுத்தொழுவத்துக்குள் வாசல்வழியாய்ப் பிரவேசியாமல், வேறுவழியாய் ஏறுகிறவன் கள்ளனும் கொள்ளைக்காரனுமாயிருக்கிறான். வாசல்வழியாய்ப் பிரவேசிக்கிறவனோ ஆடுகளின் மேய்ப்பனாயிருக்கிறான்." ( யோவான் 10: 1, 2)

ஒரு வீட்டின் உரிமையாளரிடம் வீட்டின் திறவுகோல் இருப்பதால் அவர் தைரியமாகக் கதவைத் திறந்து வீட்டினுள்  செல்வார். ஆனால் திருடர்களிடம் திறவுகோல் இல்லாததால் வாசல் வழியாக நுழையமுடியாமல் வேறு வழியாக வீட்டினுள் நுழைய முயற்சிசெய்வார்கள். அப்படி  வேறுவழியாய் ஏறுகிறவன் கள்ளனும் கொள்ளைக்காரனுமாயிருக்கிறான் என்று கூறுகின்றார் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

நாமே ஆடுகளாக இந்த உலகமாகிய தொழுவத்தினுள் இருக்கின்றோம். இந்த ஆடுகள் அனைத்தும் இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவம் பெற்று பரலோகத்தை அடைந்திடவேண்டுமென்று தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். இந்த மீட்பு அல்லது இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவத்தை கிறிஸ்து இயேசு ஒருவர் மட்டுமே மக்களுக்கு அளிக்கமுடியும். காரணம், அவரே தனது சுய இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தி இரட்சிப்பை உண்டாக்கி பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்குமுன் நாம் தைரியமுடன் நிற்க  நமக்கு அருள்செய்துள்ளார். எனவே, ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் பெயர்தான் திறவுகோல். 

ஆம், "அவராலேயன்றி வேறொருவராலும் இரட்சிப்பு இல்லை; நாம் இரட்சிக்கப்படும்படிக்கு வானத்தின் கீழெங்கும், மனுஷர்களுக்குள்ளே அவருடைய நாமமேயல்லாமல் வேறொரு நாமம் கட்டளையிடப்படவும் இல்லை" (அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 4: 12) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். எனவே, யாராவது கிறிஸ்துவின் பெயரைத்தவிர வேறு பெயரை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தி நம்மை வழிநடத்தினால் அது ஆட்டுத்தொழுவத்துக்குள் வாசல்வழியாய்ப் பிரவேசியாமல், வேறுவழியாய் ஏறுகிற முயற்சி. அப்படி ஏறுகின்றவன் கள்ளனும் கொள்ளைக்காரனுமாயிருக்கிறான் என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

மட்டுமல்ல, ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதான் வாசல். இந்த வாசல் வழியாக நாம் மீட்பு அனுபவத்துக்குள் நுழையும்போதுதான் செழிப்பான மேய்ச்சலைக் கண்டுகொள்ளமுடியும். "நானே வாசல், என் வழியாய் ஒருவன் உட்பிரவேசித்தால், அவன் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான், அவன் உள்ளும் புறம்பும் சென்று, மேய்ச்சலைக் கண்டடைவான்." ( யோவான் 10: 9) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறவில்லையா? 

கிறிஸ்துவாகிய மீட்பரின் பெயரை புறம்தள்ளி வேறு பெயர்களையும், வேறு நபர்களையும் முன்னிலைப்படுத்தி அவற்றின்மூலம்  பரலோகத்தை அடைந்திடலாம்; தேவ சந்நிதியை அடைந்துவிடலாம்  என்று போதிக்கும் பல்வேறு மார்க்கங்கள் உலகினில் உள்ளன.  கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்குள்கூட ஒரு சில பிரிவினர் பல்வேறு பரிசுத்தவான்களது  பரிந்துரைகள் வழியாக நாம் மீட்பு பெறலாம் என்று மக்களை வழிநடத்தும் நிலை உள்ளது. அன்பானவர்களே, தன்னிடம் வீட்டின் திறவுகோல் இருக்கும்போது வீட்டு உரிமையாளன் வேறு முயற்சிகளில் ஈடுபடுவானா என்பதனை நாம் எண்ணிப்பார்க்கவேண்டும். கிறிஸ்துவாகிய வாசல்  இருக்கும்போது தைரியமாக அந்த வாசல் வழியாக நுழையாமல்  வேறுவழியாய் ஏறுகிறவன் கள்ளனும் கொள்ளைக்காரனுமாயிருக்கிறான்.

"வாசல்வழியாய்ப் பிரவேசிக்கிறவனோ ஆடுகளின் மேய்ப்பனாயிருக்கிறான்" என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தின் இறுதியில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மை ஆன்மீக வழிநடத்தும் மேய்ப்பர்கள் கிறிஸ்துவாகிய வாசல் வழியாக வருகின்றாரா இல்லையா என்பதனை ஆடுகளாகிய நாம் கருத்தாய்க்  கண்காணித்து அவர்களைப் பின்பற்றவேண்டியது அவசியம்.  

கிறிஸ்துவை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தி வரும் உண்மையான மேய்ப்பர்கள் ஆடுகளைப் பராமரிப்பார்கள். மற்றவர்கள் கூலிக்கு மாறடிப்பவர்கள். அவர்களது போதனைகளையும் அறிவுரைகளையும் பின்பற்றுவது நமக்கு அழிவையே கொண்டுவரும். அத்தகையவர்கள் மேய்ப்பர்களே அல்ல; அவர்கள் கூலியாட்கள்.   எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறினார். "மேய்ப்பனாயிராதவனும், ஆடுகள் தனக்குச் சொந்தமல்லாதவனுமான கூலியாள் ஓநாய் வருகிறதைக் கண்டு ஆடுகளை விட்டு ஓடிப்போகிறான்; அப்பொழுது ஓநாய் ஆடுகளைப்பீறி, அவைகளைச் சிதறடிக்கும்." ( யோவான் 10: 12)

எச்சரிக்கையாக இருப்போம். கிறிஸ்துவாகிய வாசல்வழியாக வரும் போதகர்களை மட்டும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வோம்.

🔆 AATHAVAN – Monday, 26.01.2026

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep.” (John 10:1–2)

Because the owner of a house possesses the key, he confidently opens the door and enters his home. Thieves, however, do not have the key; therefore, unable to enter through the door, they attempt to get in by some other way. Such a person who climbs in another way is called a thief and a robber—so declares our Lord Jesus Christ.

We ourselves, as sheep, are inside this world which is like a sheepfold. God desires that all these sheep should experience salvation and attain heaven. This redemption or salvation can be granted to people by Christ Jesus alone. The reason is this: He shed His own precious blood, accomplished salvation, and enabled us to stand with boldness before God the Father. Therefore, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ itself is the key.

Yes, we read:

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Therefore, if anyone guides us by promoting some other name instead of the name of Christ, it is nothing but an attempt to enter the sheepfold without going through the door—by climbing in another way. Such a person, Jesus Christ says, is a thief and a robber.

Not only that—the Lord Jesus Christ Himself is the door. Only when we enter into the experience of redemption through this door can we find rich and abundant pasture. Did not Jesus Christ say: “I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)

There are many religions in the world that teach that one can attain heaven or enter into the presence of God by setting aside the name of Christ the Redeemer and elevating other names and other individuals. Even among Christians, there are certain groups that lead people to believe that salvation can be obtained through the intercession of various saints. Beloved, we must pause and reflect on this: when the owner of a house already has the key, will he involve himself in other efforts? When Christ, who is the door, is present, the one who does not boldly enter through that door but instead climbs in by another way is a thief and a robber.

At the end of today’s meditation verse we read, “But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep.” Yes, beloved, it is essential for us—the sheep—to carefully and discerningly observe whether those who spiritually lead us truly come through Christ, who is the door, and then follow them accordingly.

True shepherds who come by placing Christ at the centre will care for the sheep. Others are merely hired hands. Following their teachings and counsel will only bring destruction to us. Such people are not shepherds at all; they are hired workers. That is why Jesus Christ said:

“He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.” (John 10:12)

Let us be watchful. Let us accept only those teachers who come through Christ, who is the door.

🦋 Meditation verse - யாத்திராகமம் 20: 2, 3 / Exodus 20:2–3

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳  

📖  வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1814                                

🔆 ஆதவன் 25.01.2026 ஞாயிறு       

"உன்னை அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே. என்னையன்றி உனக்கு வேறே தேவர்கள் உண்டாயிருக்கவேண்டாம்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 20: 2, 3)

தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் மோசேக்கு அளித்த பத்துக்கட்டளைகளில் முதலாவது கட்டளை இன்றைய தியான வசனம்.  இந்தக் கட்டளையினைத் தொடந்து,  "மேலே வானத்திலும், கீழே பூமியிலும், பூமியின் கீழ்த் தண்ணீரிலும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறவைகளுக்கு ஒப்பான ஒரு சொரூபத்தையாகிலும் யாதொரு விக்கிரகத்தையாகிலும் நீ உனக்கு உண்டாக்கவேண்டாம்" ( யாத்திராகமம் 20: 4) என்று தேவன் கூறுகின்றார்.  

"வேறு தேவர்கள்", "விக்கிரகம்" என்ற வார்த்தைகள் பொதுவாக வேறு மத தெய்வங்களை மட்டும் குறிப்பதாக நம்மில் பலரும் எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றோம். எனவே, அப்படி நாம் அவற்றை வணங்காததால் நாம் வேறு தெய்வங்களையோ, சிலைகளையோ வழிபடவில்லை என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றோம்.  ஆனால் அது முற்றிலும் சரி என்று கூறிடமுடியாது.

வேதாகம அடிப்படையில் மண்ணாலோ, பொன்னாலோ, மரத்தாலோ செய்யப்பட்டச் சிலைகளை வணங்குவது மட்டுமல்ல, கூடவே,  தேவனைத் தவிர நாம் யாருக்கு, எவற்றுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்தாலும் அது விக்கிரக ஆராதனைதான், அது அந்நிய தெய்வ வழிபாடுதான். 

மேலே வானத்திலும், கீழே பூமியிலும், பூமியின் கீழ்த் தண்ணீரிலும் இருக்கின்ற எந்தப் பொருளும் தேவனுக்கு ஈடானவை அல்ல. எனவே, இவைகளில் எதற்கு நாம் முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்தாலும் அது விக்கிரக ஆராதனைதான். ஆனால் பொதுவாக மனிதர்கள் நாம் இந்த உலகப் பொருட்களுக்குத்தான் முன்னுரிமைகொடுத்து இவைகளை வாழ்வில் அதிகமாகச் சேர்க்கவேண்டுமென்று ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம்.

நாம் ஒருவேளை நேரடியாகச் சிலைகளை வணங்காமல் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால், நம்மிடம் பணவெறி அல்லது பொருளாசை எனும் பாவம் இருக்குமானால் நாம் விக்கிரக ஆராதனை செய்கின்றோம் என்றுதான்  பொருள். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "விபசாரக்காரனாவது, அசுத்தனாவது, விக்கிரக ஆராதனைக்காரனாகிய பொருளாசைக்காரனாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யமாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே சுதந்தரமடைவதில்லையென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே." ( எபேசியர் 5: 5) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.

மேலும், "விபசாரம், அசுத்தம், மோகம், துர்யிச்சை, விக்கிரகாராதனையான பொருளாசை ஆகிய இவைகளைப் பூமியில் உண்டுபண்ணுகிற உங்கள் அவயவங்களை அழித்துப்போடுங்கள்." ( கொலோசெயர் 3: 5) என்று அவர் நமக்கு ஆலோசனைக் கூறுகின்றார். 

இதுபோல சிலருக்கு பெருமை, பதவி வெறி, போன்றவை வாழ்வில் விக்கிரகமாக இருக்கின்றன. நம்மை யாராவது மேன்மைப் படுத்தியவில்லை; மதிக்கவில்லையானால் நமக்குள் சிலவேளைகளில் கோபமும் வருத்தமும் ஏற்படுகின்றது. காரணம், நம்மையே நாம் ஒரு விக்கிரகமாக எண்ணிக்கொண்டு மற்றவர்களது மதிப்புக்காக ஏங்குவதுதான். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இத்தகைய குணங்களை நமக்குள் வைத்துக்கொண்டு நாம் சிலைகளை வணங்காமல் இருந்தாலும் நாம் சிலைவழிபாட்டுக்காரர்கள்தான். சுருக்கமாகக் கூறுவோமானால், ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு முன்னுரிமை கொடுக்காமல் வேறு எவற்றுக்கு நாம் வாழ்வில் முன்னுரிமை கொடுத்தாலும் அவைகள் நமது வாழ்வில் விக்கிரகங்கள்தான். 

இன்று, நம்மைப்  பாவ அடிமைத்தனமாகிய எகிப்திலிருந்து ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இரட்சித்து வழிநடத்தி வருகின்றார். எனவேதான் "உன்னை அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே" என்று அவர் கூறுகின்றார். எனவே அவரையே நாம் முன்னிலைப்படுத்தி வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். நம்மை இப்படித் தனது  சுய இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தி மீட்ட கிறிஸ்துவைத் தவிர வேறே தேவர்கள் உண்டாயிருக்கவேண்டாம் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. 

இறுதியாக அன்பர்களே, நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து சிலைகளை வணங்குவதைக் குறித்து எச்சரிக்காமல் பொருளாசையைக்  குறித்தே முக்கியமாக எச்சரித்தார். ஆம், "பின்பு அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: பொருளாசையைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்; ஏனெனில் ஒருவனுக்கு எவ்வளவு திரளான ஆஸ்தி இருந்தாலும் அது அவனுக்கு ஜீவன் அல்ல என்றார்." ( லுூக்கா 12: 15) காரணம் பொருளாசை என்பது வேறுதெய்வ வழிபாடு; அதுவே சிலை வழிபாடு. அது நம்மை எகிப்தாகிய பாவ அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து மீட்ட கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு எதிரான பகை.

🔆 AATHAVAN – Sunday, 25.01.2026

“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:2–3)

Today’s meditation verse is the first commandment among the Ten Commandments given by the Lord God to Moses. Following this commandment, God further declares:

“You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.” (Exodus 20:4)

Many among us generally assume that the words “other gods” and “idols” refer only to the deities of other religions. Therefore, since we do not worship such gods, we tend to think that we are not worshiping other gods or idols. However, it cannot be said that this understanding is entirely correct.

According to biblical teaching, idol worship does not merely mean bowing down to statues made of clay, gold, or wood. Rather, giving importance to anyone or anything other than God Himself is idolatry—it is foreign worship.

Nothing that exists in heaven above, on the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth can ever be equal to God. Therefore, whatever among these we give priority to becomes an idol. Yet, as human beings, we commonly give precedence to worldly possessions and continually run after them, striving to accumulate more and more in our lives.

We may not directly worship idols. But if the sin of greed or love of money dwells within us, then we are indeed practicing idolatry. That is why the Apostle Paul states:

“For this you know with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure person, or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.” (Ephesians 5:5)

He further exhorts us, saying:

“Therefore, consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.” (Colossians 3:5)

Likewise, for some people, pride and craving for position become idols in life. When we are not praised or respected by others, feelings of anger and disappointment sometimes arise within us. The reason is this: we begin to regard ourselves as idols and crave the approval and honor of others. Yes, beloved, even if we do not worship physical idols, when such attitudes dwell within us, we are still idol worshipers. In short, anything we prioritize in life without giving first place to our Lord Jesus Christ becomes an idol in our lives.

Today, our Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed us from Egypt—the bondage of sin—and continues to save and lead us. That is why He says, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.” Therefore, it is essential that we live by placing Him first in our lives. The meditation verse clearly instructs us that apart from Christ—who redeemed us by shedding His own precious blood—we should have no other gods.

Finally, beloved, our Lord Jesus Christ did not primarily warn about idol worship in terms of statues, but He strongly warned about greed. Yes, He said:

“Then He said to them, ‘Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.’” (Luke 12:15)

The reason is clear: greed is foreign worship; it is idol worship itself. It stands in opposition to Christ, who redeemed us from Egypt—the bondage of sin.
