🦋 Meditation verse - கொலோசெயர் 3: 13 / Colossians 3:13

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1770                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 12.12.2025 வெள்ளி    

"ஒருவரையொருவர் தாங்கி, ஒருவர் பேரில் ஒருவருக்குக் குறைபாடு உண்டானால், கிறிஸ்து உங்களுக்கு மன்னித்ததுபோல, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் மன்னியுங்கள்." ( கொலோசெயர் 3: 13)

பாவ மன்னிப்பின் நிச்சயத்தை நாம் பெறவேண்டுமானால் முதலில் நாம் பிறருக்கு எதிராகச் செய்த பாவத்தை உணர்ந்து மன்னிப்புப் பெறவேண்டியது முதல் தேவையாக இருக்கின்றது.  நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறிய ஒரு ராஜாவின் இரக்கமில்லாத  ஊழியன் உவமை (மத்தேயு 18:23-35) இதற்கு மிகச் சிறந்த உதாரணமாக இருக்கின்றது. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட நாம் மற்றவர்களது பாவங்களை மன்னிக்கவேண்டியது முதல் தேவையாக இருக்கின்றது. எனது அனுபவத்தில் நான் கிறிஸ்துவின் மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெற இதுவே முதல் காரணமாக இருந்தது. 

நான் 1990 ஆம் ஆண்டு பிறரது தூண்டுதலின்பேரில் அப்போதிருந்த கோட்டாறு ஆயர் ஆரோக்கியசாமி அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு குருவானவரைக் குறித்து அவர் எனக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுவதாக  ஒரு முக்கியமான குற்றச்சாட்டைக் கூறி ஒரு மனு அனுப்பினேன். அதில் நானும் என்னோடு இன்னொரு நண்பனும் கையெழுத்திட்டிருந்தோம். ஆனால் ஆயர் அவர்கள் அதன்மேல் எந்த நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்கவில்லை. எனக்கு அது எரிச்சலாக இருந்தது. அப்போது நான் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாதவனாகவே இருந்தேன். 

இந்தச் சம்பவம் நடைபெற்று ஏறக்குறைய மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்குப்பின் ஒரு சகோதரன் என்னை வற்புறுத்தி ஒரு ஜெபத்துக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றிருந்தார். அப்போது முழு விருப்பமில்லாமல் அந்த நண்பரோடு சென்றிருந்தபோதும் எனக்கு நான் செய்த பல பாவங்களில் இந்தக் குருவுக்கு எதிராக மனு அனுப்பிய பாவமே மேலான பாவமாக இருதயத்தில் உணர்த்தப்பட்டது. "ஒருவர் பேரில் ஒருவருக்குக் குறைபாடு உண்டானால், கிறிஸ்து உங்களுக்கு மன்னித்ததுபோல, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் மன்னியுங்கள்" என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுவதன்படி அந்தக் குருவானவர் எனக்கு எதிராகச் செய்த செயலை நான் மனப்பூர்வமாக மன்னித்தேன். ஆனால் அந்தக் குருவானவரை நேரில் சந்திக்க வாய்ப்பு இல்லாமல் போனதால் அவரிடம் இது குறித்து கூறமுடியவில்லை. 

இது நடந்தது 18.11.1993 அன்று. அன்று இரவியிலேயே கிறிஸ்துவின் பாவ மன்னிப்பின் மகிழ்ச்சி என்னை நிரப்பியது.  ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, "மனுஷருடைய தப்பிதங்களை நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னித்தால், உங்கள் பரமபிதா உங்களுக்கும் மன்னிப்பார்." ( மத்தேயு 6: 14) என்று நம் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறுவது மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியம் என்பதனை அனுபவத்தில் உணர்ந்துகொண்டேன்.    

இன்று பலரும் வாழ்வில் கிறிஸ்துவை அறியாமலிருக்க இதுவே முக்கிய காரணமாக இருக்கின்றது. ஏதோ ஒரு சூழலில் நமக்கு எதிராக ஒருவர் செய்த காரியத்தையே மனதில் சுமந்துகொண்டு நாம் எவ்வளவு ஜெபித்தாலும் நாம் தேவனோடு ஐக்கியமாக முடியாது. காரணம், "மனுஷருடைய தப்பிதங்களை நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னியாதிருந்தால், உங்கள் பிதா உங்கள் தப்பிதங்களையும் மன்னியாதிருப்பார்." ( மத்தேயு 6: 15) என்கிறார் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

இதனை வாசிக்கும் அன்புச் சகோதரனே, சகோதரியே, இப்படி யாராவது ஒருவர்மேல் உங்களுக்குப் பகை உணர்வு இருக்கின்றதா என்று நிதானித்துப்பாருங்கள். அப்படி இருக்குமானால், "ஆணடவரே, நான் அவர்களை முற்றிலும் மன்னித்துவிட்டேன்" என்று கூறி ஜெபியுங்கள். அப்படி ஜெபிக்கும்போது நாம் அறியாமலேயே நமக்குள்ளிருக்கும் பகை உணர்வு மறைந்துவிடுவதை உணரலாம்.  அப்போது கிறிஸ்துவின் சமாதானம் நமது உள்ளத்தை நிரப்பி நம்மை வேறு மனிதனாக மாற்றும். 

ஒருவர் பேரில் ஒருவருக்குக் குறைபாடு உண்டானால், கிறிஸ்து உங்களுக்கு மன்னித்ததுபோல, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் மன்னியுங்கள் என்பதே கிறிஸ்தவத்தின் அடிப்படைப் போதனையாக இருக்கின்றது.  எனவே, மற்றவர்கள்மேலுள்ள வெறுப்புணர்வை,  அவர்கள் நமக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்பட்டதை, நாம் அவர்களுக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்கள் செய்ததை உணர்ந்து மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம். "நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் அறிக்கையிட்டால், பாவங்களை நமக்கு மன்னித்து எல்லா அநியாயத்தையும் நீக்கி நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பதற்கு அவர் உண்மையும் நீதியும் உள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்". (1 யோவான் 1:9)

Bible Meditation No. 1770
AATHAVAN – Friday, 12.12.2025

“Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you also do.” — Colossians 3:13

If we desire the assurance of forgiveness for our sins, the first necessity is that we must recognize the sins we have committed against others and seek forgiveness for them. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught this clearly in the parable of the unforgiving servant (Matthew 18:23–35). This is the best example that illustrates this truth. Yes, beloved, for our sins to be forgiven, we must forgive the sins of others.

In my own life, this truth became the very first step that led me to experience the redemption of Christ.

In the year 1990, influenced by someone, I sent a petition to the then Bishop of Kottar, Rt. Rev. Arockiasamy, accusing a priest of acting against me. Both I and a friend had signed it. But the Bishop took no action. I became frustrated, and at that time, I was not a believer in God at all.

Nearly three years passed. One of my brothers persistently invited me to a prayer meeting, and I finally went with him—without any real desire. But during that time of prayer, out of all the sins I had committed, God made this particular sin stand out strongly in my heart—the sin of sending that petition against the priest.

According to today’s verse— “Forgive each other, just as the Lord forgave you”—I wholeheartedly forgave that priest for whatever he had done against me, even though I never got the opportunity to meet him personally and express it.

This happened on 18.11.1993. On that very night, the joy of Christ’s forgiveness filled my heart.

Yes, beloved, I realized through experience that the words of our Lord Jesus Christ are eternally true:

“For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” — Matthew 6:14.

Today, many fail to know Christ because of this one issue—holding bitterness or resentment against someone who wronged them. No matter how much we pray, we cannot be united with God if we carry such burdens.

For Jesus also said:

“But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.” — Matthew 6:15.

Beloved brother, beloved sister reading this—pause and examine yourself. Does your heart hold resentment against anyone? If yes, pray sincerely:

“Lord, I completely forgive them.”

When we pray this way, the hidden bitterness inside us begins to disappear without our knowledge. Then the peace of Christ fills our hearts and transforms us into new persons.

Forgiving one another, just as Christ forgave us, is the foundational teaching of Christianity. So let us acknowledge the hatred we hold toward others, the wrongs they did to us, and the wrongs we did to them—and seek forgiveness.

For: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 9: 34 / John 9:34

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1769                                  🔆 ஆதவன் 11.12.2025 வியாழன்   

"அவர்கள் அவனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: முழுவதும் பாவத்தில் பிறந்த நீ எங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறாயோ என்று சொல்லி, அவனைப் புறம்பே தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்." ( யோவான் 9: 34)

"ஏழைச்சொல் அம்பலம் ஏறாது" என்று ஒரு பழமொழி உண்டு. ஆம், இந்த உலகம் அதிகாரபலம் பணபலம் உள்ளவர்களது பேச்சுக்களைத்தான் உண்மை என்று ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்.  பணமும் அதிகாரமும் இல்லாதவர்கள் எவ்வளவு நல்ல கருத்துக்களைச்  சொன்னாலும் மக்கள் அதனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை. 

ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து ஒரு பிறவிக்குருடனுடைய கண்களைத் திறந்து அவன் பார்வை அடையும்படிச் செய்தார். அவன் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு மிகப்பெரிய சாட்சியாக இருந்தான். "பிறவிக்குருடனுடைய கண்களை ஒருவன் திறந்தானென்று உலகமுண்டானது முதல் கேள்விப்பட்டதில்லையே. அவர் தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து வராதிருந்தால் ஒன்றும் செய்யமாட்டாரே என்றான்." ( யோவான் 9: 32-33) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். அதாவது அவன் இயேசு தேவனிடமிருந்து வந்த தேவ குமாரன் என்று அறிக்கையிட்டான். ஆனால் யூதர்கள் அவன் கூறியதை  நம்பவில்லை. மட்டுமல்ல, அவனை அவர்கள் அவனைப் புறம்பே தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதுபோன்ற காரியங்கள் இப்போதும் நடைபெறுவதை நாம் காணலாம். எனக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒரு மனிதன் முழுக் குடிகாரனாக இருந்தான். குடித்துவிட்டு ஆங்காங்கே விழுந்துகிடப்பான். அவன் குடும்பமும் ஏழ்மை நிலையில்தான் இருந்தது. ஆனால் அவன் ஏதோ ஒரு சூழலில் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்துகொண்டான். அவனது வாழ்க்கை மாறியது. ஒரு சில ஆண்டுகளில் அவன் கிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்து மற்றவர்களுக்கு போதனை செய்யும் சகோதரனாக மாறிவிட்டான். மதுபாட்டில்களை ஏந்திய அவனது கைகள் இப்போது வேதாகமத்தைச் சுமந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றன.  

ஆனால் பாரம்பரியமாக ஆலயங்களுக்குச் சென்றுகொண்டிருக்கும் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் அவனை அற்பமாகத்தான் இன்னும் எண்ணுகிறார்கள். அவனது பேச்சை,  "குடிகாரன் பேச்சு" என்று ஏளனமாகக் கூறி கிண்டல்செய்கின்றனர். மேலும் சிலர், பணத்துக்காக அவன் மதம் மாறிவிட்டதாக அற்பமாகக் கூறிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

ஒருகாலத்தில் அவன் குடிகாரனாக இருந்தது மெய்தான், ஆனால் அவனது வாழ்க்கை இப்படி மாறியது எப்படி என்றோ, அவனது வாழ்வில் இந்த மாறுதலைச் செய்தவர் எத்தனை மகத்தானவர் என்றோ யாரும் எண்ணுவதில்லை. அன்று பிறவிக் குருடன் கர்த்தரைக் கண்டுகொண்டதுபோல குடிகாரனான அவன் கிறிஸ்துவைக் கண்டுகொண்டான். ஆனால் பாரம்பரிய கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் தொடர்ந்து ஆலயங்களுக்குச் சென்றும் அவரைத் தங்கள்  வாழ்வில் கண்டுகொள்ளவில்லை. 

எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அவர்களைப் பார்த்துக் கூறினார்,  "காணாதவர்கள் காணும்படியாகவும், காண்கிறவர்கள் குருடராகும்படியாகவும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கு நான் இந்த உலகத்தில் வந்தேன்." ( யோவான் 9: 39) என்று. 

அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்தியை அறிவிக்கும் யாரையும் அற்பமாகவும் கேவலமானவர்களாகவும் எண்ணாதிருப்போம். ஒருவரது தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்வில் கிறிஸ்து எப்படிச்  செயல்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்பது நமக்குத் தெரியாது; தேவனோடு அவர்களுக்குள்ள தனிப்பட்ட உறவு குறித்து நமக்குத் தெரியாது. அப்படி அவர்களைப் புறக்கணிப்போமானால் "காண்கிறோம்" என்று நம்மைக்குறித்து எண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் நாம் உண்மையில்  தேவனை அறியாத குருடர்களாகவே இருப்போம்; யூதர்களுக்கு இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியதுபோல, தேவனுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நம்மேல் வரும்.

📖 Scripture Meditation No. 1769
🔆 AATHAVAN | Thursday, 11.12.2025

“They answered him, ‘You were born entirely in sins, and are you teaching us?’ So, they put him out.” (John 9:34)

There is a proverb that says, “The words of the poor do not reach the stage.”
Yes, this world accepts the words of those who have power and wealth as truth. Even if those without money or influence speak good and wise words, people do not accept them.

Our Lord Jesus Christ opened the eyes of a man who was blind from birth. He became a great witness for Christ. We read:

“Since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, He could do nothing.” (John 9:32–33)

In other words, he boldly declared that Jesus is the Son who came from God. But the Jews refused to believe what he said. Not only that, but they also put him out. 

Beloved, even today we see such things happening. I know a man who was once a complete drunkard. He would get drunk and fall on the streets. His family was in deep poverty. Yet, in some situation, he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ. His life completely changed. Within a few years, he became a brother who preach Christ to others. The hands that once carried liquor bottles now carry the Holy Bible.

But Christians who traditionally attend church still look down on him. They mock his words as “a drunkard’s talk.” Some others belittle him by saying he changed his faith for money.

Yes, it is true that he was a drunkard once. But no one wonders how such a transformation happened, or how great the One must be who brought this change in his life! Just as the man born blind saw the Lord, this man who was once enslaved by alcohol has now seen Christ. But those who traditionally go to church have not seen Him in their own lives.

That is why Jesus said to them:

“For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.” (John 9:39)

Beloved, let us not despise or belittle anyone who proclaims the gospel of Christ. We do not know how Christ is working in their personal life; we do not know the personal relationship they have with God.

If we ignore such people, thinking “we see,” then we too will be spiritually blind—just as Jesus said to the Jews—and God’s judgment will come upon us.

🦋 Meditation verse - மத்தேயு 3 : 7-8 / Matthew 3:7–8

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1768                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 10.12.2025 புதன்  

"பரிசேயரிலும் சதுசேயரிலும் அநேகர் தன்னிடத்தில் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறும்படி வருகிறதை அவன் கண்டு: விரியன் பாம்புக் குட்டிகளே! வருங்கோபத்துக்குத் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள உங்களுக்கு வகைகாட்டினவன் யார்? மனந்திரும்புதலுக்கு ஏற்ற கனிகளைக் கொடுங்கள்......" ( மத்தேயு 3 : 7-8)

ஒருவர் மனம் திரும்பி தேவனுக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதையே தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். வெறும் சடங்குகளை கடைபிடிப்பது அர்த்தமற்றது என்பதை இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் யோவான் ஸ்நானகன் விளக்குகின்றார். 

இன்று தங்களை ஆவிக்குரிய சபைகள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பல சபைகளில் ஞானஸ்நானம் என்பது உறுப்பினர் சேர்க்கைக்கான ஒரு சடங்காக நடத்தப்படுவதைக் காணலாம்.  மெய்யான மனம் திரும்புதல் இருக்கின்றதோ இல்லையோ தங்கள் சபைக்கு வரும் மக்களை தண்ணீர் தொட்டியில் மூழ்குமாறு செய்வதே இவர்களது பெரிய பணியாக இருக்கின்றது. மெய்யாக மக்களை வழிநடத்தி ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியத்தில் நடத்தும் ஊழியர்கள் இன்று மிகமிகக் குறைவாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.  

நான் ஆரம்பகாலத்தில் ஆராதனைக்குச் சென்று ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்ற கொட்டாரம் இந்திய பெந்தெகொஸ்தே சபையின் ( IPC ) போதகர் ஜான்சன் டேவிட் அவர்கள் மிகப்பெரிய தீர்க்கத்தரியாக இருந்தார். சபைக்கு வரும் ஒவ்வொரு விசுவாசியையும் அவர் நன்கு அறிந்தவர். அவரது சபையில் பல ஆண்டுகளாக ஆராதனைக்கு வந்தும் ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுக்கப்படாமல் பலர் இருந்தனர். காரணம், ஒருவரது ஆவிக்குரிய தகுதியை அறிந்துகொள்ளாமல் அவர் உடனேயே யாருக்கும் ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுப்பதில்லை. 

அதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். தன்னிடம் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுவதற்கு வந்த பரிசேயர்,  சதுசேயர்களை அவர் விரியன் பாம்புக் குட்டிகளே! என்று அழைக்கிறார். காரணம் அவர்களிடம் மனம்திரும்புதல் இல்லை. மாறாக எல்லோரும் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுவதைப்பார்த்து அவர்களும் ஒரு சடங்குபோல ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுவதற்கு வந்தனர். 

ஆனால் அவர்களுக்குத் தாங்கள் ஆபிரகாமின் வழிமரபினர் என்று  மனதில் தங்களைக் குறித்த ஒரு பெருமை இருந்தது. அதனை யோவான் கண்டுகொண்டார். எனவேதான், "ஆபிரகாம் எங்களுக்குத் தகப்பன் என்று உங்களுக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொள்ள நினையாதிருங்கள்; தேவன் இந்தக் கல்லுகளினாலே ஆபிரகாமுக்குப் பிள்ளைகளை உண்டுபண்ண வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( மத்தேயு 3 : 9 ) என்கின்றார். 

ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுவது முக்கியமானது என்றாலும் அதன்முன்னர் மனம் திரும்புதல் அதனைவிட அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. எனவேதான், "மனந்திரும்புதலுக்கு ஏற்ற கனிகளைக் கொடுங்கள்......" என்று அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார்.  ஆவிக்குரிய மனிதனிடம் ஆவிக்குரிய கனி இருக்வேண்டும். "ஆவியின் கனி, சகல நற்குணத்திலும் நீதியிலும் உண்மையிலும் விளங்கும்." ( எபேசியர் 5 : 9 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

மேலும், "ஆவியின் கனியோ, அன்பு, சந்தோஷம், சமாதானம், நீடியபொறுமை, தயவு, நற்குணம், விசுவாசம், சாந்தம், இச்சையடக்கம்; இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளுக்கு விரோதமான பிரமாணம் ஒன்றுமில்லை." ( கலாத்தியர் 5 : 22-23 ) என்கிறார் அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பவுல். பாவ, மன்னிப்பு நிச்சயம், மனம்திரும்புதல், இதனை வெளிப்படுத்தும் கனிகள் இவை ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வுக்கு மிக அவசியம்.  

ஆனால், மனம்திரும்புதல் இல்லாத இத்தகைய தண்ணீர் தொட்டி முழுகுதல் சபைகளுக்கு உறுப்பினர் எண்ணிக்கையை அதிகரிக்கலாமேத் தவிர, இதனால் எந்தப் பயனுமில்லை. இத்தகைய ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றவர்கள் "நான் முழுக்கு ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றுள்ளேன்" என்று கூறிக்கொள்வதில் அர்த்தமில்லை; மாறாக, அது மற்றவர்களுக்குமுன் நான் பெரியவன் என்று தன்னை உயர்த்தும் பெருமையின் வெளிப்பாடாகவே இருக்கும். இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மூலம் விளக்குகின்றார் யோவான் ஸ்நானகன். 

ஞானஸ்நானம் என்பது மனம்திரும்புதலின் அடையாளமாக இருக்கின்றது. Scripture Meditation No. 1768
AATHAVAN — 10.12.2025 (Wednesday)

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for his baptism, he said to them, ‘You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore, produce fruit consistent with repentance…’” (Matthew 3:7–8)

A person turning to God in repentance and living a life that pleases Him — this is what God truly desires. John the Baptist clearly explains in today’s meditation verse that merely observing religious rituals is meaningless.

Today, in many churches that call themselves spiritual, baptism is conducted merely as a ritual for membership enrolment. Whether there is true repentance or not, their primary task seems to be immersing people who join their churches into the water tank. Genuine servants of God who guide people into spiritual truth are very few today.

In my early days of attending worship, the pastor of Kottaram Indian Pentecostal Church (IPC), Rev. Johnson David — under whom I received water baptism — was a great prophet. He personally knew every believer who attended the church. In his congregation, many who attended worship for years were not given baptism. The reason: he would never give baptism to anyone without discerning their spiritual readiness.

We see the same principle in today’s Scripture. When the Pharisees and Sadducees came to John to be baptized, he called them “You offspring of vipers!” because there was no repentance in them. They simply came to receive baptism as a ritual because they saw others being baptized.

Moreover, they prided themselves on being descendants of Abraham. John perceived this pride. That is why he said:

“Do not assume that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father’; for I tell you that from these stones God is able to raise up children for Abraham.”(Matthew 3:9)

While baptism is important, repentance is far more essential before it. Therefore, John warns, “Produce fruit consistent with repentance…” Only a spiritual person can bear spiritual fruit.

“For the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.” (Ephesians 5:9)

Paul further explains: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22–23)

Forgiveness of sins, repentance, and the fruits that reflect repentance — these are essential for a true spiritual life.

But without repentance, such water-tank immersions may increase church membership but serve no spiritual purpose. Those who receive such meaningless baptisms may boast, “I have taken immersion baptism,” but in reality, it becomes an expression of pride that elevates oneself above others. John the Baptist addresses exactly this issue in today’s Scripture passage.

Baptism is a sign of repentance. “And he said, ‘Into what then were you baptized?’ They said, ‘Into John’s baptism.’ Paul said, ‘John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus.’ When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.” — Acts 19:3–5.

🦋 Meditation verse - ஏசாயா 47 : 13 / Isaiah 47:13

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1767                                    🔆 ஆதவன் 09.12.2025 செவ்வாய் 

"உன் திரளான யோசனைகளினால் நீ இளைத்துப்போனாய்; இப்பொழுதும் ஜோசியரும், நட்சத்திரம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும், அமாவாசி கணிக்கிறவர்களும் எழும்பி, உனக்கு நேரிடுகிறவைகளுக்கு உன்னை விலக்கி இரட்சிக்கட்டும்." ( ஏசாயா 47 : 13 )  

பாபிலோனுக்கு எதிராகக் கூறப்பட்ட வார்த்தைகளே இன்றைய தியான வசனம்.  செல்வச் செழிப்பு, பகட்டு, ஆடம்பரம் இவைகளுக்குப் பெயர்போனதுதான் பாபிலோன். எவ்வளவு செழிப்பு அங்கு இருந்ததோ அதேபோல மூடநம்பிக்கைகளும் அதிகமாக பாபிலோனில் இருந்தது. ஜோதிடம், சிலைவழிபாடு இவை மிகுதியாக அங்கு இருந்தன. ஆனால் பிரச்சனைகள் அழிவுகள் வந்தபோது அவர்களது வழிபாட்டுச் சிலைகளும், ஜோதிடமும், நாள்பார்த்தலும் அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றவில்லை.

புதிய ஏற்பாட்டில், வெளிப்படுத்தல் புத்தகம் பாபிலோனை உலக ஊழல் மற்றும் கடவுளுக்கு எதிரான எதிர்ப்பின் அடையாளமாகக் காட்டுகின்றது. வெளிப்படுத்தல் 18 ஆம் அதிகாரம்  "மகா பாபிலோனின்" வீழ்ச்சியை விவரிக்கிறது, இது தீமையின் இறுதித் தோல்வி மற்றும் தேவனின் ராஜ்யத்தை நிறுவுவதற்கான ஒரு உருவகமாகும்.  "மகா பாபிலோன் விழுந்தது! விழுந்தது! அது பேய்களுடைய குடியிருப்பும், சகலவித அசுத்த ஆவிகளுடைய காவல்வீடும், அசுத்தமும் அருவருப்புமுள்ள சகலவித பறவைகளுடைய கூடுமாயிற்று." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 18 : 2 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். இந்த உருவகம் பகட்டு, செழிப்பு, சிலைவழிபாடு,  ஒழுக்கச் சிதைவு போன்ற செயல்களுக்கு எதிரான எச்சரிக்கையாக இருக்கின்றது. 

"நீ பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின்மேல் சொல்லும் வாக்கியமாவது: ஒடுக்கினவன் ஒழிந்துபோனானே! பொன்னகரி ஒழிந்துபோயிற்றே! கர்த்தர் துஷ்டரின் தண்டாயுதத்தையும், அரசாண்டவர்களின் செங்கோலையும் முறித்துப்போட்டார்." ( ஏசாயா 14 : 4-5 ) என்ற வார்த்தையின்படியே பாபிலோனின் செழிப்பு  அழிந்துபோயிற்று 

இன்றும் தங்களைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பலர் பாபிலோனின் மனநிலையில் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். பல்வேறு செழிப்பின் சிந்தனைகள் அவர்களை ஆக்கிரமித்துள்ளன. ஆவிக்குரிய ஆராதனைகளில் கலந்துகொண்டாலும் மேலும் மேலும் சொத்துச் சேர்க்கவேண்டுமென்று  தாறுமாறான வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

இந்தக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் ஒருவேளை நேரடியாக ஜோசியம் நாள்பார்த்தல் போன்ற செயல்களில் ஈடுபடாமல் இருக்கலாம், ஆனால் அவர்கள் இருதயத்தில் பெருமை எனும் சிலையை நிறுத்தியுள்ளனர். பிற இனத்து மக்களின் பல்வேறு குணங்கள், செயல்பாடுகள் இவர்களிடம் உண்டு. 

ஆனால் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், உன் பாபிலோன் மனநிலையினையையும் செயல்பாடுகளையும் மாற்றிக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால் மோசமான விளைவுகளை சந்திப்பாய். அப்படித் தேவன் எதிராக எழும்பும்போது பாபிலோன் போன்ற மகிமை, அழிந்துபோகும். அதனை எந்தவிதத் திட்டங்களாலும் மீட்டெடுக்க முடியாது. எனவே எச்சரிக்கையாய் இரு என்கிறார் கர்த்தர். 

பாபிலோனின் வீழ்ச்சி; மனித பெருமை, சிலை வழிபாடு (விக்கிரகங்களை வழிபடுவது மட்டுமல்ல; பொருளாசையும் விக்கிரக ஆராதனையே) மற்றும் பல்வேறு பாவ வாழ்க்கைக்கு எதிரான தேவனின் தீர்ப்பை நமக்குக் குறிப்பால் உணர்த்துகின்றது. இது பூமிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையின் நிலையற்ற தன்மை மற்றும் கடவுளின் நீடித்த வல்லமையை நினைவூட்டுகிறது. மேலும், இது தேவநீதி மற்றும் தீமையின் மீது நீதியின் வெற்றி போன்ற வேதாகம உண்மைகளை உறுதிசெய்கின்றது. 

எனவே அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் மனதில் பாபிலோனின் நிலை இருக்கின்றதா என்று ஒவ்வொருவரும் நம்மை நாமே சோதித்துப் பார்த்துக்கொள்வோம். அப்படி இருக்குமானால் நம்மைத் திருத்திக்கொள்வோம். இல்லையானால், "உனது முயற்சியினால் நீயே உன்னைப் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்" என்றுகூறி தேவன் நம்மை வீட்டு விலகிச் சென்றுவிடுவார். ஆம், அதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் தேவன், "இப்பொழுதும் ஜோசியரும், நட்சத்திரம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும், அமாவாசி கணிக்கிறவர்களும் எழும்பி, உனக்கு நேரிடுகிறவைகளுக்கு உன்னை விலக்கி இரட்சிக்கட்டும்"  என்று கிண்டலாகக் கூறுகின்றார். 

தேவன் நம்மைக் கைவிட்டுவிடாதபடி நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

Bible Meditation No. 1767
AATHAVAN – 09.12.2025, Tuesday

“You are wearied with your many counsels;
Let now the astrologers,
Those who prophesy by the stars,
Those who predict by the new moons,
Stand up and save you from what will come upon you.” — Isaiah 47:13

Today’s meditation verse contains God’s words spoken against Babylon. Babylon was well known for wealth, luxury, pomp, and pride. Just as riches flourished there, so also did superstitions. Astrology, sorcery, idol worship, and fortune-telling were widespread. Yet, when calamities and destruction came upon them, neither their idols nor their astrological predictions could save them.

In the New Testament, the Book of Revelation presents Babylon as the symbol of worldly corruption and rebellion against God. Revelation 18 depicts the fall of “Babylon the Great,” representing the final defeat of evil and the establishment of God’s Kingdom.

“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.” — Revelation 18:2

This imagery is a warning against pride, luxury, idolatry, and moral corruption.

Likewise, Isaiah prophesies the downfall of Babylon’s oppressive power:

“...How the oppressor has ceased,

And how the golden city has ceased!

The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked,

The sceptre of rulers.” — Isaiah 14:4–5

Thus, Babylon’s glory was destroyed just as God had spoken.

Even today, many who call themselves Christians continue to live with a Babylon-like mindset. Various prosperity-driven attitudes dominate their hearts. They participate in spiritual worship outwardly, yet they pursue relentless accumulation of wealth, living with an uncontrolled desire for more.

These Christians may not directly engage in astrology or divination, yet in their hearts they have erected the idol of pride. The characteristics and behaviours of the ungodly world have subtly influenced them.

But God warns: if you do not turn away from your Babylon-like mindset and practices, you will face severe consequences. When God rises against such pride, all Babylon-like glory will collapse. No plan or effort will restore it. Therefore, the Lord calls us to remain alert and watchful.

The fall of Babylon teaches us about God’s judgment against human pride, idolatry (not only worshiping images but also materialism), and sinful living. It reminds us of the temporary nature of earthly life and the enduring power of God. It affirms essential biblical truths such as divine justice and the triumph of righteousness over evil.

So, beloved, let each one of us examine ourselves: Do we harbour a Babylonian condition in our hearts? If so, let us correct ourselves before God. If we fail to do so, God may leave us to our own devices, saying in effect, “Protect yourself by your own efforts.” That is exactly what God mockingly says in today’s Scripture:

“Let now the astrologers... stand up and save you from what will come upon you.” — Isaiah 47:13

Let us guard ourselves so that God never leaves us nor forsakes us.

🦋 Meditation verse - எரேமியா 7 : 3 / Jeremiah 7:3

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1766                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 08.12.2025 திங்கள்        

"இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்: உங்கள் வழிகளையும் உங்கள் கிரியையகளையும் சீர்ப்படுத்துங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களை இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்". ( எரேமியா 7 : 3 )

சிலரது வாழ்வில் தோல்வியே தொடர்கதையாக நடப்பதுண்டு. பல்வேறு தொழில் முயற்சிகளில் மாறிமாறி முயன்றும் எதுவும் ஏற்ற பலனைத் தருவதில்லை. எனவே இப்படி முயற்சி செய்த பலர் தொழில் ஆசீர்வாதம் வேண்டி பல்வேறு ஆலயங்களில் சென்று ஜெபிக்கின்றனர். பல்வேறு பொருத்தனைகள் செய்கின்றனர். அத்தகைய மனிதர்களுக்கு இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மூலம் அறிவுரை கூறுகின்றார் தேவன். 

நீங்கள் பல்வேறு இடங்களுக்கும்   ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கவேண்டாம்; உங்களை இந்த இடத்திலேயே  குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன் என்கிறார் தேவன். அதாவது நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது செய்துகொண்டிருக்கும் இதே தொழில் முயற்சியை நான் ஆசீர்வதித்து உங்களை இதிலேயே குடியிருக்கச் செய்வேன் என்கிறார் தேவன். 

ஆம்  அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் நினைத்தால் நம்மை எந்த இடத்திலும், எந்தத் தொழிலிலும் உயர்த்தி வாழவைக்கமுடியும். ஆனால் இன்று நாம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட முடியாததற்கு சிலவேளைகளில் தேவன் விரும்பாத  நமது சில செயல்பாடுகளே காரணமாக இருக்கின்றன. அதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனம், உங்கள் வழிகளையும் உங்கள் கிரியைகளையும் சீர்ப்படுத்துங்கள் என்று அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது.  

தொழில் செய்வதில் உண்மை, வாழ்க்கையில் தூய்மை இவை இரண்டையும் தேவன் ஒருவரிடம் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார்.  எனக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒரு நண்பருக்கு சரியான வேலை இல்லை. அவரது மனைவி பள்ளி ஆசிரியையாக இருந்தார். அவர் தனது கணவருக்கு ஏதாவது நல்ல தொழில் துவங்கிக்கொடுக்க வேண்டுமென்று எண்ணி வங்கியில் கடன் ஏற்பாடுசெய்து  ஒரு தொழிலை ஆரம்பித்துக் கொடுத்தார். அந்தக் கணவனோ அந்த நிறுவனத்தில் ஒரு பெண்ணை வேலைக்கு அமர்த்தி சிறிதுகாலம் நன்றாகத் தொழிலை  நடத்தினார். பின்னர் அந்தப்பெண்ணுடன் தவறான உறவை வளர்த்துக்கொண்டு நிறுவனத்துக்குளேயே அவலட்சணமான காரியங்களில் ஈடுபட்டுத்  தொழிலைச் சரியாகக் கவனிக்காமல் பெரிய நஷ்டமடைந்தார். 

அவரது குணம் தெரியாத மனைவி, மேலும் முயன்று அவருக்கு வேறொரு தொழிலை ஆரம்பித்துக் கொடுத்தார். அந்த மனிதன் தனது குணத்தை மாற்றவில்லை. எனவே, இதிலும் தோல்வியடைந்தார். மனைவியின் நகைகள் அனைத்தையும் இழந்து, கடன் அதிகமாகி, சொந்த வீட்டையும் இழந்து இப்போது பல்வேறு ஆலயங்களுக்கு நேர்ச்சை, காணிக்கை என செய்து ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார். தனது தவறை இன்னும் அவர் உணர்ந்ததாகத் தெரியவில்லை. 

ஆனால், எல்லோரையும் தேவன் இப்படித் தண்டிப்பதில்லை. பலர் துன்மார்க்கமாகவே வாழ்ந்தும் செழிப்பாகத் தொழில் செய்து வாழ்ந்துகொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், தேவன் சிலரை அதிகமாக நேசிப்பதால் இப்படித் துன்பங்களைக் கொடுத்து அவர்களைத் தனது வழிக்குத் திருப்ப முயலுகின்றார். ஆம், "கர்த்தர் எவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறாரோ அவனை அவர் சிட்சித்து, தாம் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிற எந்த மகனையும் தண்டிக்கிறார் என்று பிள்ளைகளுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறதுபோல உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிற புத்திமதியை மறந்தீர்கள்." (எபிரெயர் 12:6) என்று வேதம் நமக்குக் கூறவில்லையா? 

அன்பானவர்களே, ஒரு உதாரணத்துக்கு தொழில் ஆசீர்வாதமில்லாத நிலைமை குறித்து இந்தத் தியானத்தில் விபரித்தேன். தொழில் ஆசீர்வாதம் மட்டுமல்ல, நமது அனைத்துக் குடும்ப ஆசீர்வாத காரியங்களுக்கும் இது பொருந்தும். எனவே, நமக்கு எந்த ஆசீர்வாதம் வேண்டுமானாலும் முதலில் நம்மைத் திருத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டியது அவசியம். ஆசீர்வாதங்களுகாக தம்மை நோக்கி வருபவர்களிடம் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மூலம் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார்:-  "உங்கள் வழிகளையும் உங்கள் கிரியைகளையும் சீர்ப்படுத்துங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களை இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்".

🔆 AATHAVAN — Monday, 08.12.2025

“Thus says the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, ‘Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you live in this place.’”— Jeremiah 7:3

In the lives of some people, failure continues as an unending story. They try different kinds of business ventures repeatedly, but none of them produce successful results. Because of this, many who are struggling run from place to place, visiting various temples and praying for business blessings. They perform different rituals seeking success. To such people, God gives counsel today through this meditation verse.

God says, “You do not have to run everywhere; I will let you dwell in this place.” That means, “I will bless the very work you are doing now and establish you in it.”

Yes, beloved, if God decides, He can lift us up and make us prosper in any place and in any work. But at times, the reason we are not able to receive blessings is because of certain behaviours and actions in our lives that God does not approve of. That is why today’s verse instructs us: “Amend your ways and your deeds.”

In our work, God expects honesty; in our life, He expects purity. These two are essential.

I know a friend who did not have a proper job. His wife was a schoolteacher. With the desire to help him start a good livelihood, she arranged for a loan from the bank and set up a business for him. The husband hired a woman employee and ran the business well for a short time. But later, he developed an inappropriate relationship with that woman, got involved in shameful activities within the workplace, neglected the business, and incurred heavy losses.

His wife, unaware of his true character, again arranged another business for him. But he did not change. Therefore, he failed once again. All her jewellery was lost; debts increased; their own house was gone. Now he runs from temple to temple making vows and offerings. Yet, it seems he still hasn’t realized his mistake.

However, God does not punish everyone in this manner. Many live wickedly and still flourish in their work. But there are some whom God loves deeply; He allows painful situations to turn them back to His path.

Yes, does not the Scripture say: “For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He punishes every son whom He accepts.” — Hebrews 12:6.

Beloved, today I have described the lack of business blessing as an example. But this applies not only to business—it applies to every area of family blessing. Therefore, whatever blessing we desire, it is essential that we first correct ourselves.

To all who seek blessings from Him, God speaks through today’s meditation verse: “Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you live in this place.”

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 5 : 27 / John 5:27

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

📖 வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1765                                   🔆 ஆதவன் 07.12.2025 ஞாயிறு         

"அவர் மனுஷகுமாரனாயிருக்கிறபடியால், நியாயத்தீர்ப்புச் செய்யும்படிக்கு அதிகாரத்தையும் அவருக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்." ( யோவான் 5 : 27 )

இன்று கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் பலருக்கும்கூட கிறிஸ்துவுக்கும் பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்குமுள்ள உறவு, அதிகாரங்கள் இவைகளைப்பற்றிய தெளிவு இல்லாமல் இருக்கின்றது. சில கிறிஸ்தவ பிரிவுகள் (உதாரணமாக யெகோவா சாட்சிகள்) பிதாவாகிய தேவனே எல்லாம் என்றும் கிறிஸ்து அவரது சாட்சி மட்டுமே என்று  கூறுகின்றன.  இன்னும் சில கிறிஸ்தவ பிரிவுகள் "இயேசு மாத்திரம்" என்று கூறுகின்றன. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதான் பிதா என்கின்றனர் இவர்கள். 

ஆனால் வேதத்தில் பல இடங்களில் பிதாவும் கிறிஸ்துவும் வெவ்வேறு அதிகாரமுள்ளவர்கள் என்று தெளிவாகக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலானவராக பிதாவாகிய தேவன் இருக்கின்றார். அவர் கிறிஸ்துவைவிடப் பெரியவர். "நான் போவேன் என்றும், திரும்பி உங்களிடத்தில் வருவேன் என்றும் நான் உங்களுடனே சொன்னதைக் கேட்டீர்களே. நீங்கள் என்னில் அன்புள்ளவர்களாயிருந்தால் பிதாவினிடத்திற்குப் போகிறேனென்று நான் சொன்னதைக்குறித்துச் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்கள், ஏனெனில் என் பிதா  என்னிலும்  பெரியவராயிருக்கிறார்". (யோவான் 14:28) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறவில்லையா? 

அந்த சர்வ வல்லவரான பிதாவே இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை உயர்த்தியிருக்கிறார். "பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு மகிமையாக இயேசுகிறிஸ்து கர்த்தரென்று நாவுகள் யாவும் அறிக்கைபண்ணும்படிக்கும், எல்லா நாமத்திற்கும் மேலான நாமத்தை அவருக்குத் தந்தருளினார். (பிலிப்பியர் 2:11) ஆம், பிதாவே கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு எல்லா நாமத்துக்கும் மேலான நாமத்தை அளித்துள்ளார். 

மட்டுமல்ல, தேவ குமாரனாகிய இந்தக் கிறிஸ்து நம்மைப்போல இரத்தமும் சதையுமுள்ள மனிதனாக உலகினில் வாழ்ந்தார். நம்மைப்போல பாடுகளை அனுபவித்தார். அதாவது அவர் பாவம்தவிர எல்லாவற்றிலும் நம்மைப் போலானார். இப்படி  "அவர் மனுஷகுமாரனாயிருக்கிறபடியால், நியாயத்தீர்ப்புச் செய்யும்படிக்கு அதிகாரத்தையும் அவருக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்." என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

"அன்றியும் பிதாவைக் கனம்பண்ணுகிறதுபோல எல்லாரும் குமாரனையும் கனம்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, பிதாவானவர் தாமே ஒருவருக்கும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புச் செய்யாமல், நியாயத்தீர்ப்புச் செய்யும் அதிகாரம் முழுவதையும் குமாரனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்." ( யோவான் 5 : 22 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மை நியாயம்தீர்க்கும் அதிகாரத்தை பிதாவாகிய தேவன் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு அளித்துள்ளார். அதாவது, இறுதிநாளில் நம்மை பிதாவாகிய தேவனல்ல, கிறிஸ்துவே நியாயம் தீர்ப்பார். 

"அன்றியும் மனுஷகுமாரன் தமது மகிமைபொருந்தினவராய்ச் சகல பரிசுத்த தூதரோடுங்கூட வரும்போது, தமது மகிமையுள்ள சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வீற்றிருப்பார். அப்பொழுது, சகல ஜனங்களும் அவருக்கு முன்பாகச் சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள். மேய்ப்பனானவன் செம்மறியாடுகளையும் வெள்ளாடுகளையும் வெவ்வேறாக பிரிக்கிறது போல அவர்களை அவர் பிரித்து, செம்மறியாடுகளைத் தமது வலதுபக்கத்திலும், வெள்ளாடுகளைத் தமது இடதுபக்கத்திலும் நிறுத்துவார்". (மத்தேயு 25:31-33) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார்.  

எனவேதான் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் போதனைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து வாழ  அழைக்கப்படுகின்றோம். ஆனால் பெரும்பாலான கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் இதனை உணராமல் கிறிஸ்துவின் வல்லமை வெறும் உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்காக மட்டுமே பயன்படும் என எண்ணி உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்காகவே ஜெபித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்து அன்பானவர்தான்; இரக்கமுள்ளவர்தான், ஆனால் அவரே நீதியுள்ள நியாயாதிபதியாக வரவிருக்கிறவர். எனவே நாம் அவருக்குப் பயந்த ஒரு வாழ்வு வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

"நீங்கள் இன்னாருக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டுமென்று உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிக்கிறேன்: கொலைசெய்தபின்பு நரகத்திலே தள்ள வல்லமையுள்ளவருக்குப் பயப்படுங்கள்; ஆம், அவருக்கே பயப்படுங்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." (லூக்கா 12:5) என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.

AATHAVAN — Sunday, 07.12.2025

“And He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.” — John 5:27

Today, even many Christians lack clarity about the relationship between Christ and God the Father, and about their distinct authorities. Some Christian groups (such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses) claim that only God the Father is supreme, and that Christ is merely His witness. On the other hand, some groups teach “Jesus only,” claiming that Jesus Christ Himself is the Father.

But the Bible clearly teaches in many places that the Father and Christ have distinct roles and authorities. God the Father is above all and even greater than Christ. Did not Jesus Himself say, “You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away, and I am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.” — John 14:28

It is this Almighty Father who exalted Jesus Christ. “And that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” — Philippians 2:11

Yes, it is the Father who gave Christ the Name that is above every name.

Moreover, this Christ—the Son of God—lived on earth as a human being with flesh and blood like us. He suffered as we do. In all things, except sin, He became like us. Therefore, today’s meditation verse says:

“And He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.” — John 5:27.

Jesus also said, “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honour the Son just as they honour the Father.” — John 5:22–23a (NASB)

Beloved, God the Father has given the authority to judge us to the Lord Jesus Christ. This means that on the final day, it will not be God the Father but Christ Himself who will judge us.

Jesus also said, “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left.” — Matthew 25:31–33

This is why we are called to live in obedience to Christ’s teachings. Sadly, many Christians do not realize this. They think Christ’s power is only for worldly blessings and therefore pray only for material prosperity. Beloved, Christ is indeed loving and compassionate—but He is also the righteous Judge who is coming soon. Therefore, it is essential that we live a life that fears Him.

The Lord Jesus Christ warns us: “But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed someone, has the power to throw that person into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!” — Luke 12:5.
